Journal Mastery BP
Hello class,    As we come to the end of the program, I have to say that I am more than proud for each one of my classmates. We have accomplished something that no one can take away. We have embarked on a journey to become something great. As I always state, we all have dreams that just got a little bit closer. Completing my first masters was one of my greatest accomplishments. Completing this program gives me the confidence that I can finish any I put my mind to.              As we come to our last journal post, our professor Natly Torres, did an amazing job helping with the final project and leading the class to graduation. She gave me inspiration and motivation which in turn helped me with my project. I’m more than just grateful for this opportunity, I appreciate the individual attention I received. I like the informational video she gave us about the target market and presentation links for a more animated feature. I always wanted to know how the stock exchange works. She gave great insight about my business plan and areas I can improve during the advisory meetings. I am very overwhelmed at this point. I still can’t believe I have come this far to accomplished my second masters degree. I pray that everyone have much success throughout the rest of your careers and life in general. God speed my friends.

Course Reflection BMIM
Hello class,
This month has been a long and rough one. I am about a month away from graduation, and I have been so busy that I have not made time for recording music. This month, I was caught between working fulltime, being a fulltime dad, being a fulltime student, producing music, and performing live at venues around the country. Having so many obligations, it gets kind of hard to balance the load. I must say this course was very informative and reliable. I am currently in the middle of investing in a restaurant. This course helped me realize that the restaurant wasn’t ready based on the people they have in power. Everyone is looking for the opening date, instead of focusing on getting the appropriate paperwork completed to get the inspections done and permits in order.
Honestly, I thought this class would mainly be about our final business plans and project. This course actually helped me get more information and resources for my final project. Professor Lipham did a great job with communicating throughout the month as we progressed. If there was any problem, I never hesitated to reach out to professor Lipham. I had assignments that I turned in late, he took the action to grade my assignments accordingly. I never asked for additional help and accepted my grade as is. I like the fact that professor Lipham is straight forward. If you do your work and complete it on time, there is no question that you will have a good grade on your assignment once reviewed.
Overall, Business Model Implementation and Management was a great course that helped me prepare for my final business plan and business venture. I look forward to implementing everything I have learned into action once I start my clothing company. Mono Pierre will have a great chance to thrive in the apparel industry thanks to Full Sail University, and their Master’s Degree program.

Course Reflection
As we come to the near end with only two more courses, I must say I am very pround and excited for each one of my classmates. Honestly, I want to congratulate everybody on their personal achievement because online courses are not as manageable as people may think. You have to have the right work ethic and dedication to complete these courses. We have just got a little closer to our goal which is to acquire a Master’s Degree. Professor Kegel did a great job with having assignments available from day 1. Professor Kegel also gave back excellent feedback regarding assignments and videos. I had a few problems with my assignments far as turning them in due to Wi-Fi connection bad weather. Professor Kegel did an exceptional job being understandable. This made me feel comfortable that he cared enough about every student. Thanks professor. This was a huge benefit to the course.
Coming into Innovative Work Environments, I expected to come into this class learning about workplace designs, how people interact in the workplace, and how to deal with harsh workplace environments. My goals and expectations for this class were met and beyond. I believe I stated before that I love when I get to have professor Kegel as an instructor. He always has a ton of articles, videos and resources to learn from. He gives you the entire handbook of knowledge in such a short time, not just the basic information. He gives you things that help you all around in life as a whole.
Overall, professor Kegel was amazing and a life-savor at times. He did a great job answering any questions I needed far as the assignments were concerned. He also gave great feedback that pushed me to go harder in every assignment. He always encouraged me to bring out as much information as possible when presenting a presentation. I look forward to my next class and using the knowledge I gained from this class towards my career and future endeavors. I recommend any student to take Dr. Kegels class.

Course reflection Marketing strategy
Hello class,
As this month comes to an end, I am more than grateful for this course. At the beginning, I really didn’t expected things to be difficult this month because I have been studying ways to market music and products for many months after my last master’s. Marketing strategy has given me more tricks and tactics to market my brand in ways I wouldn’t have known about if I had not taken this course. This class was full of information, smooth transitions far as the work and educational. Professor Palmisano was amazing when it came to responding and giving feedback for assignments and motivation. I learned new ways to market and promote my brand using this course. The way we solve our customers problems are paying attention to the things they buy and the things continue to pay for. This will help use market and advertise to the correct people. Things that tend to sell slower than others will be giving a price reduction until we figure out the lowest possible product price.
A few things I liked from this course is the discussion post and the assignments in general. Some press release tools that I use in my career from this course will help my brand reach its’ potential customer base. Social media and commercials are two tools I plan to rely heavy on far as promoting and advertising
Overall, I had a great experience in Professor Palmisano’s class. She made things very clear and straight to the point. I had one problem completing 2nd weeks assignment due to misplacing my laptop this month. Press release for my brand, and buyer’s behavior are key points I will take with me throughout the rest of the program and my career.  SOSTAC was also exciting and an important point I will keep with me for my career.

Course Reflection EF
Melivin Harris
April 25-2018
 Hello class,
This month has been so relieving. I got the chance to take a month off last month to gain some type of clarity in my life. I was very busy trying to be a father, a boyfriend, working, going to school online, trying to pursue my dream with music, and start a clothing brand. Things begin to take a toll on my mind, and my body. This month I got a chance to catch up on my financing for entrepreneurs. I believe that this course is very important for all students trying to start a business. This course helped me find out what I really need to start a clothing brand and become established. This course showed me that at some point you will have to know the totally ins and outs of your company. From the assignments, to professor Thompson, everything was very laid out and available. Professor Thompson did a great job responding and giving feedback.
After completing this course, I am sure that my business starting off will be headed in the right direction. I learned about different revenue streams for my company, the different types of financial statements I will need to understand for my business. Going forward I know that Mono Pierre Clothing brand will become a big name within the first few years. God willing with the right team of people, our brand will be in a urban clothing store or mall near you very soon. We will be located in the heart of Chicago, Memphis and Atlanta when we get everything running and established.

Course Reflection
Hello class,
This month has been a bit challenging than others. I have been in a bit of a slump this month with losing family members to poverty and the streets. This month in class I learned to pay better attention to my assignments. I’m use to class being more direct and less complex. This assignment in itself is not worth the assignment percentage. This assignment should be worth 10% percent of the grade because its two assignments in one. This is my second time taking professor Alvarado. I believe Professor Alvarado is a strict professor that I should pay a deeper attention to. I think she could have gave me a chance to complete 1 assignments. I also believe that communicating with her through my mishaps could have been better.
Overall, this month has been about ups and downs. I have had some strong times, throughout the month, I have had some times I wanted to give up. Learning about the legal issues to my industry is the best experience ever. Going over what to do and what not to do legally first is amazing in itself. Growing up in Chicago, so things I begin doing do young I never seen anything wrong with it until I came of age. My industry consist of people stealing styles and over pricing their customers. Once I establish my brand, I believe I will have to have a medium to high standard of prices. As professor Alvarado stated, people wear certain brands to establish themselves with money. I have to find a way in between the right price and quality.

Course Reflection Business Model Development
This month has been a little rough for me. I have been going through some personal problems that have made this month more difficult than it really has to be. Although this was a rough month, I had a great experience in class. I learned more about business plans, business models, and customer segments. Many customers know exactly what they want. Some people just have to look a little harder than others. From the first week, I actually took an extra look into what my customers like. I know I have to pay more attention to the current trend and find out what key roles are influencing the culture.
I have always love music and fashion as a whole. The second week, I had the pleasure of revisiting my business proposal. We as a company look forward to providing our customers with the best experience ever. There not just clothes, they are Mono Pierre clothes. We represent our people, our country, and our culture with fashion. We want people from around the world to globally know our company by our name and quality. This class helped me dig deeper into my business model.
Overall, professor Lipham did a great job with providing the needed material to gain access to the knowledge of business models. Professor also did a great job with communicating when having a problem with assignments. I have a great experience in this class, and recommend any entrepreneur to take this class for further knowledge overall.

Course Reflections  Business Feasibility
Hello class,
This month has flown by so fast, if would have blinked, I would have miss something. I had an interesting adventure this month. As we close out the year, I am glad to say I am closer to my goals and dreams as an entrepreneur with some credentials. My original goals for this course were to find out exactly what business feasibility was, how do I apply this to my career as an entrepreneur, and what new information was there to learn. I was eager because I always heard my older relatives talk about being feasible and innovative. I never knew what they were talking about until college.
I can say my goals were met because the professor was there every step of the way. He gave us the freedom to be creative with our assignments. Many of my classmates are have been with me from the beginning of the program. I get to see them grow as individuals as the program progress. Many have begun to dig deeper in their response post and initial post. I have been challenging myself to go more in depth with my assignment and responds in general. It is important to get your question out in order to learn. I use to learn from my mistakes, and procrastinate on fixing the problem. I learned from this course that it is best to find your strengths and use them for motivation.
This course is one that will definitely be looked back on for resources and motivation. There were times this month where I wanted to give up and take a break. I push myself through because I know this is only the beginning. I can’t give up now. I have come too far to give in. Therefore, I will continue to strive for greatness throughout the rest of the program, and business feasibility will forever be embedding in my portfolio. Thanks for your time, God speed to all.

Hello Class, I love when I get to have Dr Kegal as an instructor. He has a ton of videos and arrivals to learn from. He doesn’t just give you the basic information. He gives you things that help you all around. Product Design and Development has to be one of my best classes so far throughout the program. I learned more ways to be innovative and creative. Eric and Tina interview also helped me understand the MVP in a more complex matter as well. Overall Dr Kegal did a great job answering any questions I needed far as the assignments were concerned. He also gave great feedback that pushed me to go harder in every assignment. He always encouraged me to bring out as much information as possible when presenting a presentation. I look forward to my next class and using the knowledge I gained from this class towards my career and future endeavors. I recommend any student to take Dr. Kegals class because he is actually here for the students. Thanks and have a blessed day.

Course Reflection BVR
Hello class,
This has been a good month for me far as careers go. I recently meet superstar Boosie the rapper from Louisiana. He was performing in a nearby venue where I was also performing. We got a chance to talk about music and life in general. I like the fact that we were able to just chill with no problems to surface. I also got a chance to meet Moneybagg Yo a hot new artist from Memphis. This class showed me that I need to take advantage of every opportunity that comes by me. This course business venture research was everything I needed. I didn’t expect to have the problems that arose during the month, but I found a way to get through them. We wrote an APA paper every week. I believe that my fourth weeks paper was stronger than my first three papers because I believe I got a chance to express a different point of view.
Professor Natly Torres was more than generous with trying to help far as late assignments. I believe she is a great teacher with great intention for her students. Professor Torres didn’t make things as complicated as many other professors, and assignments were straight to the point. I had one problem with week two with the presentation part. I thought I should prepare a presentation for my peers and turn it in on the third week. I just misread the instructions. She stated that I should have posted the presentation with my second week. I lost big points on that part that I really needed. Besides the second week, I believe this was a great experience for me. I plan to keep most of the videos in my archive to look back for references. Thanks for a great month to all my peers and to my professor. God speed to all.

Course reflection
First month back in school, I must admit I really wanted to take a year off, but I can’t take a year off with everything going on around me. I need to complete my education as soon as possible. Therefore, I pushed myself into joining the program. I know that I am fully capable of completing every assignment that is presented to me. This month was actually not as bad as I thought things would be. I recently just graduated with my Masters in Entertainment Business, that’s why I kind of familiar with the way things go with the online process.
Professor Paul Kegel did a great job presenting the information abroad. I had no problem communicating with professor Kegel none during the month. He always left great feedback for me to improve as a student. I always took heed to the information he presented because he gave me the felling that he knew what he was talking about completely. The live sessions were very helpful due to the fact that I’m always on the road making music and performing. I love the fact that we had so many resources to help us throughout the month.
Overall, Creativity and Innovation was a great course and start to my program. I learned the difference between creativity and innovation. I learned how to apply design thinking to my products as an entrepreneur. I also learned that social entrepreneurship comes from people who are sociable and see things outside the box. They look for the bigger picture and not what is presented to them. I want to thank professor Kegel and the entire class as a whole for continuing to strive for greatness throughout the month. As we come to end, never forget to keep God first and pursue your dreams to your full capability.

Program Reflection
7-28-2017
 Executive Leadership – Online
As I reflect on my experience in the program, I find my self at the beginning. Executive Leadership class helped me determine what type of leadership styles I posses. According to the course, there are three main leadership styles a manager will portray. The three I remember writing about is participative leadership, authoritarian leadership, and delegate leadership.
Growing up, I believe I was more of an Authoritarian leader. Authoritarian Leaders make decisions on their own, with little input from others. Participative Leadership known as “Democratic” leadership is one of the most effective leadership styles. Democratic leaders offer guidance, but also allow input from others and help in groups. As I start my new company, I believe that a Participative Leadership approach would be the best way for my marketing company starting off. Overall, this was a great course that I learned a ton of information from.
Mastery: Personal Development and Leadership – Online
Personal Development and Leadership helped me gain knowledge through the books we read. The green laws and Maxwell laws help me change my perspective on life. I look at life more complex, than when I was younger living life just for the moment. Green laws or the 48 laws of power is a must read book for all business entrepreneurs around the world.
I also learned about branding my company. I did a logo in this class for my potential clothing line I will soon open. This was a fun experiment to test how my product would look as a brand. I will keep these book on my laptop as I continue to move forward in my career. These books will help me stay focused on the goals at hand. Overall, this was a great experience for me.
Project and Team Management – Online
Anyone who really understands me know that I prefer to work alone. Working in a group has always been a problem for me since high school. Before this course, my experience working with others in a group was the worst. I have always been a hard worker. When working with people who aren’t as serious about a project as you are, things will not get accomplished in the correct manner. Someone seems to always have to pick up another person’s work load.
This course really helped me realize that I need to work on my team work skills. For the most part, this class was pretty straightforward. I had fun with the case studies, and learning more about my classmates from their discussion post. Since we had the option to work with other or alone, I chose to work alone.
Business Storytelling & Brand Development – Online
In Business Storytelling and Brand Development, Ken Degilio was a great professor. He was always available and full of encouragement to his students. I like to see professors who take that extra mile for their students to be successful. Storytelling and branding was a great class to take to learn more about pushing your business to the next level. You learn about how consumers buy into a brand and certain labels.
I had a hard time this month during my program due to some family issues. Although I was going through tough times, I didn’t give up on myself. I passed the class knowing that I should have done better. Overall, I learned more about branding than I ever knew. This course helped me learn how to brand my company locally and globally.
 Negotiation and Deal-Making – Online
When it comes business, one must have great negotiation skills. You can have all the money in the world, with ten big investors. If one can’t sit down with investors and close a deal, it will be very hard to succeed in the industry. I learned that one must acquire the right agent to close some major deals.
Deal making is a must know in business. To acquire the right agent there are a number of agencies available to companies via the Internet. Find the right one in your city or state, and contact them with your inquires. Overall, I could have done better in this course. I learned things that will take with me into my career such as acquiring the right agent to gain the right deal.
 Entertainment Business Finance - Online
Coming into this course, I was very excited. I absolutely love numbers. Math has been my favorite subject since a kid. Business Finance was everything I expected and more. I believe this was the month I left Chicago for good. This course was one of the best courses I took in the program thus far.
Business Finance taught me about the different areas of cash flow. Cash will come into a business many ways. Cash flows into a business, or company through loans, cash sales, grants, and other various ways. This course has also given me insights to how my own company may run someday. Overall, this was a great class and I did well in this course.
 Digital Marketing – Online
As I look back at Digital Marketing, I found this course to be very informational. Learning about how to use a search engine or the SEO network more efficient was the best part of the class to me. The course taught me how to use my photos in particular to gain more followers and exposure. Public relations was also an interesting area in this course as well. There is so much to consider when talking about digital marketing, I need more than two paragraphs.
This course also taught me that search engines such as Google and Ask.com are used to gather information on a daily bases. Having a passion for music, and artist relations, a public relations specialist will help with networking and brand my company Mono Marketing Company development into a global company. Overall, one of my key takeaways from this course would be to optimize your profile picture in the social media world. This helps others quickly identify with you in the public.
Product and Artist Management – Online
Product and Artist Management was a great class to have taken and passed. The first thing I learned in this course is that this is show business. This was another one of my favorite classes. I like the fact that professor Christine Winn had amazing energy. As a student, its great to see a professor more excited about learning than you are. This gave me confidence in her ability to lead the class to success over the month.
This class helped me look at managing artist and branding in a different perspective. Business must be done in order to prosper in the entertainment industry. In this course I will also keep the book by Paul Allen in my archive as a resource. Artist Management for the Music Business is great for artist and managers looking to push in the right direction in the music business. Overall, this class gives people an overview of the things managers need to know when starting a career in business entertainment.
 Advanced Entertainment Law – Online
In Advanced Entertainment Law, I learned the legal issues pertaining the entertainment industry. There are a number of legal issues from trademarks, to copyrights infringements that an entertainment company must prepare for. I learned a lot of information that I will take with me into my career. This course is great for anyone who is in entertainment, social media, music law, and marketing.
The one key takeaway I will keep in mind from this course is to watch every contract carefully. Always watch for what’s not in contract versus what is presented. I will make sure I continue to research the correct ways to market my company by abiding by the entertainment laws presented. As I move forward with my career, I will keep all the books and recorded lectures with me. I will also trademark my work from the beginning to dispute any legal claims.
Entertainment Media Publishing and Dist – Online
This course was one of my most interesting classes. I learned the correct way to present material to a company or potential investor. One must acquire the right agent to represent any content sent to any distributor. In this course I also choose to do a book proposal and a press kit. The book proposal was interesting because I never planned on writing a book until this class.
Overall, professor Craft was great, and gave excellent feedback. I learned that self-publishing can be very lucrative with the right aggregators distributing the content. In the entertainment business, business must be handled correctly in order to secure a great deal. Agents are a major key in gaining access to certain deals and publishing. Agents help gain exposure locally, and globally.
 Business Plan Development – Online
Coming into the final two courses, I was very nervous because I needed to acquire two A’s to graduate. This course is one of the best pre-subject courses available to me overall. This course helped me outline my business plan from start to finish. I learned more about mission statements and competitive competition in this course. I also learned about the one-minute pitch that most people will not present.
This course gave me an advantage over others who don’t know how to present an idea to a potential investor. This course also gave me the complete details of a business plan. This was crucial for me to grasp quickly if I wanted to be successful in my final course. Once I established a business I wanted to create, the steps where there for a business plan. Overall, this course is great and works perfectly with the final course.
Final Project: Business Plan – Online
As I come to the end of my program, I must say that I am proud of each and every one of my classmates. We have accomplished something that no one can take away. We have embarked on a journey to become something great. We all have dreams that just got a little bit closer. Completing this final course was one of my greatest accomplishments.
Overall, professor Thompson did a spectacular job leading the class to graduation. He gave so much information besides the business plan that will help our class succeed that I’m just grateful. I like the informational video he gave us about the stock market. I always wanted to know how the stock exchange works. He gave great insight about my business plan and areas I can improve. I am very overwhelmed at this point. I still can’t believe I have come this far. I pray that everyone have much success throughout the rest of your careers and life in general. God speed my friends.

Mastery Journal
Hello everyone,
Honestly I must state that I am proud of each and every one of my classmates. We have embarked on a journal that everyone will not accomplish, that’s a Master’s Degree. Professor Steve Burhoe did a great job with having assignments ready from day 1. Professor Burhoe also gave back excellent feedback regarding assignments and videos. This made me feel comfortable that he cared enough about every student. Usually we would have to wait until the following week to access our assignments. This helped me prepare ahead of time each week. I felt more confident that I could complete the assignments at the given time because I knew exactly how much my work load consists of before hand. Thanks professor. This was a huge benefit to the course.
Coming into Business Plan Development, I expected to write a lot of statements and purposes for a business. I expected to come into this class learning about how to write a business plan, how to develop a successful business, and how to present a business plan. My goals and expectations for this class were met and beyond. I learned more about mission statements for a business. I learned that you need a one minute pitch to gain the investors attention. Investors like to see the competition, and the numbers to gain revenue. Investor want to know that they are inviting with the right company to gain maximum revenue. I learned that the best way to gain partners and investors are, to show them how the money is being spent for marketing, which in return will bring profit. The platforms with Tunecore for marketing and advertising will generate a great sum of revenue.
Everything from the business plan assignments, to the videos with Jayson, I will take with me into my final course and career. The business plan assignments helped because as a business major, one should know the “ins and outs” of a business plan. Jayson did a great job giving the class insights on the industry and what it actually takes to become successful. This has been an amazing journey. One more month and we did it class. Continue to strive for greatness throughout the rest of the program, and my God be with you all. God speed my friends.

Entertainment Media Publishing and Dist - Online
Hello everyone,
Coming into this course, I honestly expected things to be much more difficult and complex than things were. In contrast, this class was smooth and educational. Professor Craft was amazing when it comes to grading and responding. Publishing when it comes to music, books, television, or games is all business. Business must be handled correctly in order to secure a great deal. Agents are a major key in gaining access to certain deals and publishing. Many publishing artist such as writers want to come up with a scrip, an outline, and send their material directly to companies. Many big companies will not even look at your proposal, or press kit without the proper representation or agent.
A few key things I learned from this course is to never just send material without an agent representing your content. Your book proposal should look as professional as possible. I leaned that self-publishing is not a bad idea when you know the right aggregators to help distribute your music. I have been in love with music since a child. I am more than grateful for this course. I learned how to get your content licensed correctly to prevent people from taking your material. I also took a more detailed look into a book proposal this month. I learned that in a book proposal, the way it is formatted, the title, and the information it contains makes the book proposal important. It is important to learn as much as you can when you have so much information to consume in a short period of time.
Overall, I had a great experience in Professor Craft’s class. She made things very clear and straight to the point. I had no problem completing any assignments this month. Self-Publishing and the details about book proposals are key points I will take with me throughout the rest of the program and my career. Licensing was also exciting and an important point I will keep with me for my career.

Advanced Entertainment Law
Hello everyone,
Going into this class, I honest didn’t know what to expect. I just knew I wanted to come in with an open mind, and willing to learn. Advanced Entertainment Law such me as a surprise I must admit. From Trademarks, to copyrights infringement, I enjoyed learning the more business side of entertainment business. Last month, I learned that the entertainment business is all about the show. It’s called the show business. Professor Cassandra Willard did a great job with communicating back and forth throughout the entire month. The assignments were fairly content. The instructions and details to complete each assignment were also very simple to comprehend.
Thanks to Advanced Entertainment Law, I have gained knowledge of the entertainment business on the more legal aspect of the industry. I know I should focus and question what’s not in a contract more so than what has been presented. Contracts can be very broad, and new artist can sign contracts they really don’t understand. I learned it’s best to have a lawyer available when going over any contract. I like the fact we had an outline assignment to give us an idea of where we need to go far as the final project. This helped me out a lot. Far as professor Willard, I would recommend anyone to take her class. Come ready to work, and turn your work in on time.
Overall, I had a great experience working online this month in Advanced Entertainment Law. This class is a must needed class for anyone who is in the entertainment industry. This class teaches you about what to do, and what not to do in the entertainment business. This gives artist an edge in contract negotiation. Once you know how the system works, you can play the game to your advantage. As I move forward with my career, I will keep these books and lessons with me. I will always look for what’s not in the contract more than what is presented. I will always trademark my work from the beginning to dispute any legal claims. This has been an amazing month, which is actually turning out to be a great year. God speed my people.
