The argument had been brewing for a while. Aventurine, with his usual smirk, had been pushing buttons, playing with words, treating the entire situation like one of his high-stakes gambles.

"You never take anything seriously!" you snapped, arms crossed as you glared at him. The tension in the air was palpable, the frustration simmering beneath your skin.

Aventurine chuckled, tilting his head. "Oh, come now, sweetheart. You wound me. You know I always take things seriously—just in my own way."

You gritted your teeth. He was deflecting, as always. His voice was light, teasing, but you could see it—the way his eyes flickered, the way his fingers twitched slightly at his side. He was keeping up his act, refusing to let you in.

"I don't get it," you continued, voice trembling. "Why do you do this? Why do you make everything a game? Why can't you just be honest with me?"

His smirk faltered for a fraction of a second. "Because honesty is boring, darling."

That was the last straw. The frustration, the hurt, the overwhelming need to break through his mask—it all surged at once. A sharp, icy force exploded from you, shards of ice materializing in the air before launching toward him.

Time slowed.

Aventurine’s eyes widened as the icicles streaked toward him, their crystalline edges gleaming in the light. But at the last moment, he shifted—fluid and practiced—dodging with a grace that seemed almost effortless. One shard nicked his cheek, drawing a thin line of crimson.

You gasped, horror crashing over you like a tidal wave. "Oh no—oh my god, Aventurine! I—I didn’t mean to—"

But he was already grinning again, wiping the blood away with the back of his hand. "Now that was unexpected," he mused, inspecting the crimson streak on his fingers. "A little warning next time, sugar?"

Tears welled in your eyes. "I'm so, so sorry—I didn't mean to—I just—"

His expression softened, and before you could spiral further, he closed the distance between you, gently tilting your chin up with two fingers. "Hey now, don’t look so devastated. If anything, you just made things interesting." His voice was quieter this time, lacking its usual theatrical bravado.

You swallowed hard. "I—I could've really hurt you."

"But you didn't," he pointed out, his gaze steady. "And even if you had, well—I've been through worse. A little ice isn’t going to shatter me, love."

His hand moved to yours, squeezing it lightly. "Besides, if this is how you show your feelings, I think I should start annoying you more often. Maybe I'll get a lovely ice sculpture next time."

Despite yourself, you let out a weak laugh. He always knew how to ease the tension, even in moments like this.

"You're impossible," you murmured.

"And yet, you’re still here," he teased.

His fingers brushed over yours, warm despite the lingering chill in the air. "Don't go freezing me out just yet, darling. I'm quite fond of this little game of ours."

And for once, you allowed yourself to believe him.

Sunday had never raised his voice at you before. Not once.

But tonight, his usual soft, measured tone was edged with something unfamiliar—frustration.

"You don't understand," he said, eyes dark with something unreadable. "I am not asking for your approval. I am telling you that this path leads nowhere."

"Why do you always act like you know best?" you shot back, voice trembling. "Like you have all the answers, like my choices don’t matter?"

Sunday exhaled sharply, his wings fluttering behind him, his hands clenched at his sides. "Because I have seen where this road ends," he murmured. "And I do not wish for you to walk it."

His words struck a chord—one that made your chest tighten with resentment and sadness all at once. The weight of his gaze, his presence, his unwavering belief that he was protecting you—it was suffocating.

"You can't control everything," you whispered, voice cracking.

Sunday hesitated. And in that moment, the emotions you had been struggling to contain surged outward.

A sharp chill swept through the air.

You barely had time to register the way ice crystallized around you, how jagged shards of frozen energy shot toward him in a burst of raw power.

Sunday's eyes widened, but he didn’t move.

The ice halted midair, hovering inches away from his form, before slowly dissipating into harmless flakes. He had stopped it—his power, his will, had overwritten your accidental outburst.

Your breath hitched.

"I—I didn’t mean to—" You took a step back, horrified. "Sunday, I’m so sorry, I—"

His expression had shifted. Gone was the frustration, the authority. In its place was something gentler—something almost sad.

Slowly, he stepped forward, raising a gloved hand toward you. You flinched, but he only rested it lightly against your shoulder.

"I know," he murmured.

You blinked up at him.

"I know you did not mean it," he repeated, his touch steady despite the way your body trembled. "And I know this power—this weight you carry—is difficult to bear."

Tears pricked your eyes. "But I—"

"You are not alone," he whispered, his golden halo casting a soft glow around him. "No matter what you may fear, you are not alone."

Something inside you cracked—not like ice breaking, but like something fragile giving way to warmth.

And when he pulled you into his arms, wings folding around you in a shield of silent comfort, you let yourself believe him.

"I expected more from you."

Ratio’s voice was sharp—calm, but cutting. The words stung more than you cared to admit.

"You think I don't care?" you snapped, fists clenched. "Just because I don’t think the same way you do—just because I don’t approach things like some cold, calculated formula?"

Ratio sighed, rubbing his temples. "That’s not what I said. But if you continue to act on impulse, if you refuse to analyze before you react, you will only cause unnecessary damage."

Something in you snapped.

Ice burst outward, an involuntary response to the storm of emotions inside you. Sharp icicles materialized in the air, hurtling toward him before you even realized what was happening.

Ratio barely flinched.

With precise, fluid movement, he raised a hand. A calculated counterforce met your attack, shattering the ice before it could touch him.

The room fell silent.

Your breath came in ragged gasps. "Oh my god," you whispered. "Ratio—I—"

He held up a hand. "I know."

You swallowed hard, shame settling deep in your gut. "I didn’t mean to—I just—"

A pause. Then, Ratio took a step forward, his intense gaze studying you, assessing every minute detail of your expression.

"Your emotions overwhelm you," he observed. "That is not a weakness."

You blinked. "What?"

"Your power is tied to your feelings," he said matter-of-factly. "That is not inherently a flaw—it simply means you must learn control. Recklessness will not serve you, but neither will self-recrimination."

Your hands trembled at your sides.

He reached out then, carefully taking your wrist. His grip was firm, grounding. "Next time," he said, voice softer, "tell me when you're reaching your limit."

The words were unexpected. But as you met his gaze, something unspoken passed between you.

Still polishing the analysis but I did suspect that the father was going to come into the picture again, in three ways to be exact: The Sacrifice, The Protector, or The Lost Cause. And it's unfortunately, that last one

it makes sense why the father would be here taking the kids. The secret organization already knows about the kids and Karen not taking any of their orders. So, they would have to take drastic measures to get Karen to do what they want, and why not send out the person related to the family? After all, they can't send out the boss with the scary voice to talk with the kids. Have a friendly and charming face, one that the kids could relate to and trust

Ok, first off, can I say the thumbnail did not need to go this hard? Ben, you REALLY cooked.

Yeah, I could tell, now more so in your new AU. but I also don't like the implications we're going to get from this and no, I'll try not to bring 4's left eye into discussion.

This was a pretty cool episode, love how the Team brought back elements from the "We Must Kill Mario" and "Mario Teaches Parenting" episodes. Pacing on a few (very few) parts could've been better, like the Luigi interrogation scene felt too quick idk. But overall, pretty good! There were definitely funny parts, some were sweet. One was 3 going after Karen's neck like sheesh, that was harsh. And I know we're trying to guess who Mr. WPNZ is and how the plot's going to go, but man. The Crew cannot catch a break.

It's sad to think about Karen trying so hard to forget her past as her way to move on but that organization keeps bothering her, and now involving the kids in this. And the thing is the kids don't even know about her past, naturally they wouldn't know how bad this is going to get. Then, there's the father. From the way he's been, I'm 95% sure it's really him. I'll talk about this more in my analysis but I could tell from the captions alone. It simply makes sense. oops, all trauma!

I think the plot could lead up to the kids being used as leverage against Karen. The ultimate deal would be: the kids becoming future assassins or Karen giving herself up and returning to the organization. Them or her. Both options are bad bc either way, the organization would have the kids in their custody. Not sure how the Team's going to go with this, but I hope Karen doesn't forgive the father of her kids. Just let Karen kick their asses 😌↕️ It's all I ask.

And if I tell you this show's about all types of love, including familial?

Like I said, I'll be talking about it more in my analysis, and I'm still thinking about Marty and Karen needing a job, but this is what I have to offer for now! I'll see you all next time and remember: numbers go first!

I might just be looking too much into it, but when Gojo threw his ring in the ocean y/n was able to get it back (even if geto was the one who found it) but when y/n threw the last part of Gojo; the necklace into the lake, he went after it but didn't get it back... it sounds like symbolism for something that I am not ready for

I don't know if you've seen the episode finale so I won't get into specifics, but let me just say it literally made me sick. Seriously, even in the worst case scenario I couldn't have imagined something this atrocious. I'm done with this disgusting show.

I can only say one thing, that season 2 of hotd is much worse than season 8 of got. And it became clear to me that season 1 is not so bad, because Miguel Sapochnik was there.

I will not say that I will stop watching this show, because I want to know how this circus will end. But I will not wait for season 3 as much as I waited for the second. Also, I no longer have the desire to root for TG, from now on I am only pro Aemond & pro Daeron team.

I still like Helaena and i am pro Helaena, but after the scene where she talks to Daemon, I'm incredibly disappointed. Who thought of this shitty scene? Helaena actually wants the man who killed her son to team up with Rhaenyra and kill her family, her little brothers and in the end, Jaehaera to be pushed out the window. It's such a cringe because it doesn't fit with Helaena's character for her to help Daemon.

Now I ask questions: "What kind of mother and sister is she after this?" I also got the impression that Aemond is really the ONLY one who wants to TAKE REVENGE ON DAEMON FOR THE DEATH OF JAHAERYS "We will lay waste to Daemon and his army. Let our enemy see that we will answer outage with outrage". I understand that Helaena does not want to go to war, but after the scene with Daemon, it looks like she does not want to help Aemon kill Daemon specifically and help in the war against TB, not because she does not support violence at all. I'm so confused. Many people think that Helaena was controlled by Bran or Brynden… But the scene itself looks like she knew what was happening. I hope it was just a trance and she wasn't in control, but I'm not 100% sure.

I've already analyzed the Aemond and Helaena scenes and I don't want to repeat myself. I don't support how Aemond hurt Helaena by grabbing her hand. But I still continue to support Aemond because he is the only one who fights for his family (not for Aegon) until his death. There is a war going on now and either they win or they all die, even Jaehaera. So all of Aemond's reactions are connected to the fear that his family will die. In another scene, Aemond regrets and cries, he doesn't want Helaena to be captured, he asks her for help, he thought that Helaena would want to take revenge on Daemon for Jaehaerys' death.

Aemond hasn't left for Harrenhal yet, he's leaving in 3 days, and I hope we get some scenes of Aemond & Daeron & Helaena in Season 3. And I'd like Helaena to leave for Harrenhal too.

After episode 8 I hate Alicent completely and irrevocably. I don't even hate TB as much as I do her.

Alicent raised all her children to follow the path of DUTY AND SACRIFICE. Most of all, this idea was instilled in Aemond and I'm sure Daeron. Aemond made his sacrifice - losing an eye and his duty - protecting his family with his life. Now Aemond demands this from everyone else because HE WAS RAISED THIS WAY BY HIS MOTHER and his brain was PROGRAMMED THIS WAY. This is all Alicent's propaganda. His words are literally Alicent's words! And now she hates him. You damn b*tch, you made him like this.

Alicent is a traitor, she ruined her children's lives! She sold Aemond and Daeron and even her beloved child Aegon, he continued to do terrible things and she is always forgave him. Note that once Aemond fired Alicent for her incompetence, she began to pay attention to Helaena. We remember that Helaena previously shunned Alicent's touch. I'm glad Daeron stopped writing letters to Alicent.

As for the other characters and scenes.

I don't feel sorry for Aegon at all, the man did terrible things in his life, his actions led him to what happened to him. He bullied his brother all his life and was not going to stop, did not respect him and treated him as his own weapon, not as a younger brother.

Almost all Targaryens are criminals, like Aegon the Conqueror and his sisters, but most Targaryens did bad things during the war. Aemond and Daeron did not commit crimes before the war, but Aegon and Daemon committed crimes during peacetime. It's not a big difference, but still. Rhaenyra committed crimes in peacetime, but in the series all her actions were cut out and it is terrible propaganda.

Larys continues to manipulate Aegon as if we don't know he's going to poison him and as if we don't know what Larys is asking for in exchange for his information (...foots...)

I don't understand why helaegon are happy that Aemond grabbed Helaena's arm roughly. They also wanted Aemond to push her off the balcony. They are clearly mentally ill and they clearly hate Helaegon. Rhaenyra's plot is boring as always, I'm waiting for her to start being betrayed by bastards.

Daemon's visions are such cringe. Are we watching a Mary Sue story about Rhaenyr's chosen one? This is so boring. Damn it, this isn't Harry Potter, it's Fire and Blood. We know that Arya killed the Night King, and because of Jon Snow and Daenerys, the Night King got a dragon, if he hadn't gotten a dragon, he wouldn't have been able to get through the wall.

The constant humiliation of Alicent's children because they have Hightower blood is so funny because Rhaenyrs has Arryn blood. They are still the LEGITIMATE CHILDREN OF VISERYS.

Brynden Riverst, I love you, but why do you have two eyes? What the hell?

Alys Rivers supports Rhaenyra and Daemon, she supports TB. Alys will not support Aemond, who will kill all the Strongs. alysmond - will not happen, because it is complete shit. Also, the writers will not degrade a female character so much that she loves and has a child in such a relationship. Aemond despises Strongs and batards and I doubt he will love her. But Aemond haters can shut up, because Aemond will not make her his war trophy, he is not Aegon and has not r***d anyone. Alys will most likely run to Daemon.

The bottom line for the entire 2nd season is that it is a complete disappointment, I do not advise anyone to waste their time and wait for season 3, look for leaks. You can watch season 3 when it comes out, but do not waste your life and do not put high hopes on season 3. I will also try to follow this advice.

A Tale as Old as Time.

Gazing upon the good and righteous was nothing new for Idia. He had pored over countless manga and light novels, binged shounen anime after shounen anime.

Here was another hero, bathed in bronze sunlight, posing triumphantly, a sword to pave the way forward and a battered training dummy to protect. His trusty winged steed beside him, a stout, wizened satyr, his mentor, hanging off of one bulging bicep. True, the arena they stood in was empty, save for the training equipment scattered about—but there was no doubt that the world would soon know his name, and his face written in the stars.

A platinum frame divided Idia from that legendary man.

Clutching onto one limp, flabby arm, he quietly scoffed. Haaah, it looks like a scene straight out of some musclehead's training montage...

"You're admiring this painting too, Idia-senpai?"

Idia's thoughts came to a screeching halt. Goosebumps prickled his skin, hair standing on end. A young man with a build similar to the hero in the artwork had appeared, handsome-face framed by moonlight locks.

"E-Eep! S-Silver-shi?!" His voice was pinched, a reverberating squeak.

The knight bowed his head. "Hello. It sounds like you're in good spirits."

Idia took a step back, as if he were the night making way for the encroaching day. The shadows were where he felt the safest, wrapped up in a cloak that granted him near invisibility from the average onlooker. Not with Silver. He who cast a revealing light wherever he drifted.

"Y-Yeah, what a n-nice painting..." Idia mumbled, not bothering to summon the effort to lie. He attempted to skitter away, cutting the conversation short, but—to his dismay—Silver continued.

"I look up to him too. There's many historical heroes we can look back on and learn from," Silver said with a nod. "I refer to them when I consider my own training regiment. They're inspirations to us all."

What's this?! Idia paled. Obviously I was trying to signal to him that I was gonna go AFK but this guy just starts spamming the chat!! H-Have I accidentally tripped an event flag...!? Or does he lack even more social awareness than an introverted otaku like me!?

Silver regarded him seriously—innocently, even. "Can I ask if this is the one you aspire to?"

Idia grimaced at the suggestion. "You're joking, right? Th-There's no way I could be a fraction as buff as he is!!"

The second year blinked, seeming undisturbed by the flustered response. “I don't think that's a concern."

“How’s it not? A hero can’t do crazy godlike stunts if he doesn’t have the right stuff…”

Silver shook his head. “My father has told me stories of warriors who were able to overcome their lack of strength with other provisions. A woman once pretended to be a man to infiltrate the military. Her wit saved their entire country from collapse."

"This man too…” Silver indicated the placard below the platinum frame. “… He gave up his strength to protect someone he loved. It was his noble heart that made the heavens recognize his godhood."

“W-Well…” Idia but his lower lip. He knew the tales as well as Silver did, but still he hesitated. “That’s true, but… isn’t it too unrealistic to think ordinary people could rise to those kinds of feats?”

His grip on his sleeve tightened.

The main character in Star Rogue... He started off as a zero and became a hero. But that's just a video game. Can something like that really happen in real life...? When true heroes are one in a billion?

Silver-shi makes it sound so easy.

His stomach lurched, wrenching into distorted shapes.

“If you have the drive, you can go the distance and somehow become strong,” Silver told him. His tone, reassuring yet firm.

“Somehow? H-How vague can you possibly get? That’s no way to achieve results…”

“It’s not brawn alone that determines your worth as a hero. Please have more faith in yourself, Idia-senpai."

As if just saying that will make my faith meter shoot through the roof! Anxiety-induced sweat beaded on Idia’s forehead.

M-Maybe if I tell him what he wants to hear, he’ll leave me alone… He warily eyed Silver. “O-Okay… I get it already. I’ll try, so…”

Please stop talking to me!! I-I don’t know how much longer of this pure-hearted anime protag speech I can stomach!

“You will? That’s great.” Silver smiled softly. His expression, Idia realized, reminded him of that of the hero in the photo frame.

A sparkling face, full of hope for the future.

A hero in the making.

That could be you, a tiny voice in his mind whispered.

A weight in his chest steadily lifted, then dropped again. Like a lost soul bobbing between life and death. Unsure of which way to go.

No, don’t be deceived. Life isn’t a game route that plays out with an easy ending. One misstep, and I’ll be floating in the River Styx.

Idia cut away from his underclassman. The hero’s big grin snagged in the corner of his eye.

Perfect, pearly, perky. Not a visible crack in a man seemingly chiseled out of marble.

But nobody’s perfect, not even the immortals. Everyone has a weakness or two in their systems, a security flaw, bug to exploit—and the bigger they are, the harder they fall.

Trust in excess turned into gullibility. Willingness to help could become one’s hubris. Goodness twisting into other shapes.

Suddenly, the hero was no longer infallible. His courage, painted foolishly.

If a hero could crumble, then so, too, could those at their lowest points rise up and rebuild a city. Make something of themselves. True one way, and true the other.

Someday, somehow, he’d be strong enough to face the odds—turning the impossible into the possible.

A slow, sinister smile crept onto his lips. Eerie, gleeful laughter filled the air. His shoulders, shuddering.

“Hihihihihihi…”

Silver’s ears perked. He inclined his head toward his upperclassman. It looks like Idia-senpai is reinvigorated. I’m glad I could encourage him.

Ok, here's my recap of seeing Esteban over the Singapore GP! I've been attending every Singapore GP since 2017 and have supported Esteban each year. For me the highlight from this year was finding out that not only does he recognise my face, he also knows my name. 🥹

PRE-RACE WEEKEND / ESTEBAN'S BIRTHDAY

I've been travelling since late July and my flight back to Singapore from Vancouver was actually on Esteban's birthday. I had already committed to editing a video to celebrate his achievements at Alpine. Some of you (bless y'all, seriously) answered my open call for art/video/message submissions and I spent the afternoon before my flight putting it together. I'm happy I got it done and I was even happier when Esteban commented thanking us for it just before I got on my plane. You can watch the video on Instagram here.

THURSDAY

A.K.A. The day after I arrived back in Singapore after 2 months on the road and a 16-hour time difference. I have no idea how I wasn't severely jetlagged lol.

I got to the paddock entrance after 1pm, early enough to still get a spot in front of the barrier, but gosh there were so many people this year. Either F1 has really exploded in popularity (especially with the younger generation) or we just have more fans from overseas coming to Singapore for the race (why tho, it's so hot y'all). Luckily I had a friend with me and he was kind enough to help me take videos when Esteban arrived.

My friend hadn't hit record yet so the video missed Esteban saying "good to see you again, how are you doing?", and you can scroll back up for the rest. ☺️ He thanked me after I asked if he'd seen the birthday video and then there was an awkward moment when I didn't know if we were doing a fist bump or a handshake but man's a gentleman and didn't make me feel weird about it. 🫠

I don't know why after seeing him so many times I still get nervous but I was, and I struggled to take the cap off my marker so he could sign my cap. He very kindly took it from me to open it himself but my marker betrayed me and wasn't working properly (now that I think about it, it also happened the very first time I asked him to sign my hat back in 2017 🤡). Thankfully the girl next to me offered her red marker which actually worked (though Este stabbed the life out of it first to be sure). 🙏

I initially wanted to hang around in the evening with some friends who were coming after the pitlane walk. But at 7pm it was already super crowded and I don't even know why (all the drivers, TPs and media are already in the paddock at this point and won't come out till late that night). So yeah, I just went home to not tire myself out before the race weekend actually started.

FRIDAY

I've accumulated quite a bit of merch since last year so I was bringing a different one on each day for him to sign haha. In the selfie I'm wearing a shirt he signed the day before.

I normally try not to take up too much of his time because he always does his best to make sure all the fans get something from him. I only had one shirt for him to sign but after he did, he continued standing in front of me so I just took out my phone for this picture and then he went on his way. Este is bestie fr. 😭🫶

I didn't hang around outside the paddock again on Friday night because I went to watch OneRepublic. ✨

SATURDAY

The best day for me because this was when I managed to get most of my selfies (including with Mick, who I missed on Thursday because he came with Esteban and obv I have priorities) and also because Esteban managed to drag the car out of Q1. 👏

It was also a good day because I asked Esteban if he could write my name on the cap and as I was trying to spell it out for him, he cut me off because he knew, he just didn't see it was me at first because some guy had draped a huge flag over my friend and me for him to sign. 😭🫶

We tried to wait outside the paddock after qualifying but they started chasing us out at 12am and since they had armed police out in full view, we decided to not fk around and find out. (At previous SGPs they'd stay in the van so we never actually saw them.) Also didn't help that Esteban chose that moment to leave so people started mobbing him and even though he tried to stop at first, security physically pushed him to the exit. 🥲 (which was probably for the best tbh)

SUNDAY

I actually gave Este the wrong hat to write my name on (I wanted him to write it on the cap from his store, not the Alpine one) so I had to ask him again and he kindly obliged.

That night I was lucky to catch him just before he left the circuit, there were some fans running alongside him because he wasn't stopping but he stopped when he saw me. 😭🫶 I got a quick hug and he said see you next year so I guess the greedy mfs at SGP are going to continue getting my money smh.

In all seriousness, I just wanted to reflect and comment on a few things I noticed on Tumblr after S7E5 aired. A few fellow Buddie Stans were a little iffy on this week's episode for a few reasons, but I wanted to touch on a couple. And I know no one really cares about my opinion, but as someone who's been ABSOLUTELY CHOMPING AT THE BIT for Buddie since Eddie joined the 118, I feel like this is warranted.

First things first: Marisol...

Now hear me out, I know Eddie's past relationships haven't been the best. (Hell, some might even say not entertaining)- but I really feel this season is more focused on Eddie's growth than the actual relationship between Marisol and Eddie itself. Does that make sense?

Like, as someone who loves to write, I see Marisol as a plot device- she's here to push Eddie in the right direction. (Now if that happens to be into Bucks arms, I sure won't be complaining.) This whole nun thing with Marisol, though funny as hell to me, was a realization for Eddie that he moves way too fucking fast. I mean, he asked her to move in, then wanted to shack up at Buck's place for a couple days to avoid seeing her at home! His conversation with Bobby proved that when he said it himself. He rushed things with Shannon, he rushed things with Anna and now he's doing the same thing with Marisol. Eddie needs time to get his shit together first, then we can make Buddie canon.

Now on to my second point: Buddie.

I know some people are disappointed Eddie hasn't expressed feelings for Buck yet, but I'm kind of happy he hasn't. I would HATE it if Eddie and Buck got into a relationship, only for Eddie to unintentionally rush things. We already know Buck has abandonment issues and I would be so floored if Eddie realizes he's moving too fast only to pull away. Our boys are precious and deserve the world- but only in due time...

Let's face it, Eddie and Buck are rather impulsive and with their job it makes sense- they have to be reactionary, quick thinking; but when it comes to this relationship shit, it hasn't benefited them in the slightest. The boys need time to figure things out.

Though I'd love to see it, we don't NEED Buddie this season. BuckTommy fulfills my 'Happy Buck' quota and any day Eddie is on screen is a good day indeed.

We've survived 6 seasons of the Great FOX Queerbait Slow Burn- so one more won't kill us. After all, 9-1-1 was just renewed for season 8! So, with Tim Minear as the show runner, I'm hopeful.

I used to see Euclase as pretentious but after going back at the manga I think they meant for good at whatever they did or say, but they did not know how to do good that well 🤡 They sucked at being good.

I recently watched the pilot teaser for spare me your mercy (with Tor and JJ) and I’m super excited for that. I love shows with mystery and this seems to have that.

I saw some comments on YouTube saying this looks like a bromance rather than a bl. I think it’s still a bl but the main focus will be on the mystery element. Also since this is just the pilot teaser, probably they’re not revealing the romance part yet. I’m hoping this show releases this year though haha. Can’t wait!

and sorry for the belated reply. I had to at least pretend to catch up with my shows (I didn't) and get over the Playboyy finale (I also didn't).

I'm really excited for Spare Me Your Mercy too. It's my favourite Sammon novel, actually. And yeah, it's surprised me too that people think it won't be BL. When did (recent) Thai drama ever shy away from queer content? There's simply no need for it. I know there's people who don't consider genre shows like crime drama BL because it doesn't primarily revolve around romance, but I don't make that distinction myself. I actually prefer stories that are horror/mystery/fantasy/crime first and BL romance second.

There's also this weird notion that critically acclaimed actors like Jaylerr and Tor won't do (or return to) BL because it's somehow viewed as "lesser" than straight mainstream tv - which honestly says more about the people putting this thought out there than Thai entertainment as a whole. We seriously need to stop othering (Thai) BL or viewing it as less professional. It's silly. BL isn't a stepping stone, it's a genre as any other.

Uh, sorry for going a bit off-topic. It's just something that's been on my mind recently. 🙏

As for other shows I'm really looking forward to this year:

Every You Every Me - because Mick Monthon is one of the most strikingly beautiful people I've ever seen, and I love him and Top together.

Love Puzzle - which has been in limbo for a year already but Noh Phouluang deserves another show and I love the Chains of Heart universe (idk what else to call it and CoH came first).

Wandee Goodday - because I've been ghostshipping Great and Inn forever and I'm ready to give gmmtv another chance.

Zomvivor - because Mii2 and zombies. Will there be BL elements? I don't even know. I'm mostly here for Jimmy. 🤣

Red Peafowl - because I love messy genre BL with a huge cast.

Knock Knock Boys - because look at Best Vittawin and Seng Wichai. Look at them! 🥰

And Monster Next Door - because finally FINALLY I get to see Big Thanakorn in the main role he deserves.🙏

But really, at this point I'm kind of looking forward to every Thai BL that's been announced because after three years I'm still not over the honeymoon phase of having discovered BL in the first place.

4. Why did you give them the name they have? Whats the in universe reason for their name?

Im gonna be honest IM BAD AT NAMING THINGS 😭😭 So I happen to choose Akari because it's a common girl's name and it sounds pretty (surely if it's a common name it won't have a weird meaning RIGHT???!!!) At first I was scared bc apparently the "aka" in akari can also mean red which like, Akari's obviously not a red girly 😂

But her name actually ended up having a beautiful meaning to it (Thank God) The "明" in her name stands for "light" or "brilliance" I believe. Coincidentally, I also have "明" in my name too. I believe it's associated with smartness (at least in chinese culture) So I believe Akari was given that name by her parents because she is the light in their life, and they want her to grow up as a brilliant person.

18. Imagine meeting your oc what would you imagine you'd say to them or do with them

It's gonna be SO messy and complicated if she knew that I created her. In all seriousness I don't think Akari would like me at all. Anyways that aside.. If things were a little simpler, I'd love to just hang out with her, play dress up and do cosplays and other fun stuffs. I could give her words of encouragement about the things that I wish I could tell myself too, but in reality I think I will just go :

She can do it because she's fast and I'm as slow as a turtle.

Initially, her vibes was a lot darker and edgier, but somehow she got softer and pinker the more I drew her.

Tbh Akari looks way cooler here, but her design feels a little messy. There were many cool ideas but nothing came out of it. In the end she's just kinda there. I originally wasn't gonna ship her with Giyuu bc I was a giyuu x shinobu shipper back then and thought they would be canon XD (I just prefer them as bros now) It doesnt help that I was so busy with school and its the pandemic, so my creative juices were little to none. But one idea that has always stayed is Akari having a good relationship with the girls, especially Mitsuri. After that I forgot about her...

Then I took a year off university, so more time to draw. I was on my way to moving on from kny, until I saw the swordsmith teaser and was like "Okay this show helped me get through pandemic, why not post some art to pay tribute at least." one art became more and suddenly I realized I wanna revisited Akari again bc omg this oc has so much wasted potential I need to fix this 😱 Guess I wont be moving on from kny soon 🤡

I thought about different breathing styles, illusion, star breathing etc. I decided that Akari is a battle seamstress character so I thought of silk breathing bc you know silk but I was like: "ok shes a seamstress who does seamstress powers?? thats it?? she needs something more specific" Eventually I settled for Camellia flowers bc I think its perfect for her in every way.
