🪄My thoughts on Cedric The Sorcerer🌙 (until now)

(not that anyone cares idk i just wanna talk about him, it's a lot of random thoughts and it's messy, but it's fun to read I guess)

Did you like that cute moodboard I did for him? It took me like 10 minutes I loved it. It fits him so well I'm so proud of myself for doing this. The whimsigothic aesthetic matches him so well I wish more people knew it so we would have tons of moodboards and cute stuff of him in this aesthetic it would be so nice. Ok let me start my post

I wanna share some headcanons, talk about my first impressions, it's not really organized I just wrote down whatever I remembered and the result was that. I wanna share my new hyperfocus with more people, that's what I'm doing here today :)

Everything started when I saw this man on Tumblr and though "who's this guy and why is princess Sophia next to him?", when I clicked on the hashtag out of curiosity I understood that it's because he's a character from the cartoon, and I was like "lol another tumblr sexyman again let's move on keep doing my things and interacting with my fandoms" (december 24)

I also mentioned it to my friend on IG bc I saw a reels that was like "you don't have any weird fictional crushes right?" and then proceeds to show us an edit of him with millions of hearts around. I sent it to her and said "omg I saw ppl talking about this on tumblr" and we just laughed a lot because it was something we did not expected (not mean laughs, they were genuine laughs of shock and because that was very unexpected like HOW IN THE WORLD, and she remembered him in the show while I didn't)

Some days later I saw more fanarts of him on tumblr and that made me a little curious, but not enough to search about the subject.

After some days I just couldn't forget him, and that's when I searched his name on youtube purposely trying to find compilations of his funny moments to understand what was happening

And boy I did

At this point was just having fun and laughing thinking "omg another guy who's sassy, has good personality and is another ugly-atractive character that has a fandom on tumblr, I got it, he's very nice" and I went to do other stuff again but this man just DIDN'T CAME OUT OF MY MIND

Just making an interruption here, I loved watching Disney Junior as a kid, maybe when I was six or seven, idk I don't remember, and I was a huge fan of Sofia The First, it was one of my favorite cartoons from Disney Jr alongside Doc McStuffins and Art Attack. AND I JUST DON'T REMEMBER CEDRIC IT'S LIKE I NEVER SAW HIM IN THAT SHOW, EVER. I literally don't remember him being part of the cast i'm sorry Cedric 😭 now he stands out so much to me, he's carrying the whole show on his back. Btw now that I mentioned Disney Junior I would like to say that here in Brazil Sofia First is actually called Little Princess Sofia, and Doc McStuffins is Doctor Toys. Sometimes I call Sofia "Princess Sofia" but I don't even know if that's how they call her in the english version, I watched everything on portuguese 😭 but ok let's move on (I have more things to say related to the brazillian dub, but let me finish my train of thought first)

As I was saying this man just didn't came out of my mind, and I was like "Oh no another hyperfocus where people around me will make fun of me because they will say that he's ugly and that liking kid's shows is something weird 😭 I can't take this anymore" and I tried to deny it but I CAN'T i'm almost making a pinterest board for him, I just accepted my fate (gonna draw fanarts soon and no one can stop me)

I found a list of every chapter he's in and i'm watching every. single. one. of. them. I watched the movie first, and boy this is gave me so much nostalgia because I remember some vague objects and scenes from when I was a kid, I used to love the Disney Princesses, when I got a little older I started watching Descendants, I grew up watching Tangled and Frozen and I swear to god I almost teared up from nostalgia during the episode Rapunzel shows up, and they didn't changed her voice actor, that's what got me. It was like travelling back to a time I didn't even remembered that existed anymore. Because since I haven't seen Sofia The First in about 10 years, I don't even remember anything FROM the show except for some parts, and that this show had so much old Disney energy that I didn't even know made a difference, but it does.

I'm sounding like a granny here but (i'm not even in my 20s yet) it feels like another time, Disney changed so much. Some of the new movies are good, some are bad, I see Disney much more as a company that wants money and makes movies instead of that perfect place where all dreams come true and every girl is a princess (Here in Brazil I never had a dream to go to Disneyland because Disney in the early 2010's invested more in products and blue ray DVDs in Brazil, since the parks were in the United States and we weren't really the target audience for that. So they didn't minded making publicity about it, so I just watched the movies and Disney Junior). Everything felt more magical when I was a kid, I spent my days watching DVDs and sometimes had some Disney princesses themed toys, it was so fun playing pretend that I was a princess and I really felt like one. Rewatching Sofia The First made me feel like this again because they made this show at the time that their public were HUGE fans of the Disney princesses and it has the same characteristics, plots, even styles of the songs and soundtracks, visuals + I watched it when I was younger. It's not just "princesses" it has the whole Disney girly early 2010's magic into it and it made me so bittersweet, even if they tried they could never do nowdays a movie inspired by that time and give me the same feeling as a REAL movie from that time does. Sofia The First: Once Upon a Time was like watching a new movie from that old Disney, one that I didn't saw before, but at the same time I did, and that's the best part. The end of the movie gave me so much nostalgia that I almost cried too. That experience was amazing :")

It gives me the same nostalgia that I feel when I hear that song "a dream is a wish your heart makesss" it makes me cry how I miss to be a little girl again (i'm crying right now btw i'm very intense with my emotions)

(And hell I don't remember Cedric at all, since when he was there the whole time? Now that I know that he's there I'm feeling like really reeeeaaaaalllyy vague memories are trying to come back in my head, but I don't know if my brain is doing this on purpose or i'm just confusing him with an equally vague memory of Cruella. I guess it's the first option, I'm trying so hard that my brain is making up memories. Weird.)

But yeah at first I saw everyone falling to his feet and even though I understood that he was very funny and had a well-writen personality I couldn't really get why people were romantically in love with him. Well um I actually got it, he was a good character and was one more of these strangely atractive characters that people fall in love with, I've been there too. But I just couldn't see what was so atractive that people were simping over him, for me at that moment he was just funny and fits very well the "let's make a fandom" type of character, like for example Preminger from Barbie Princess and The Pauper. But then I thought "idk what i'm talking about i'm demisexual lol let's wait a few days" (That happened before. Many times.)

And I'm like. I don't know what's happening to me I'm so susceptible to weird (in socially non-fandom people's words) crushes and I thought I wouldn't be afected this time. Just so you can have an idea some of my last crushes were: Dr Flug from Villanos, Jackson Jekyll from Monster High, Raggedy Andy, THE Eddie Munson (for a whole year and some months, and I was so bullied after his "trend" ended because people said that his fans were cringe and everything (that's fake lol they are very nice)), 70% of my list are just nerds and sensitive guys with different types of mental illness yay my fav type

and now I think I'm feeling unironically atracted by this man it's just happening really slowly 😭 (DEMISEXUALS ‼��‼️⁉️⁉️💥💥💥💥💥👊👊👊👊)

I'm gonna be honest with you, at the moment I can't decide if I like him or not I'm so confused at the same time that I get it I also don't like how tf am I atracted by this man 😭 and then I'm like hmm he's acually cute let me search for some fanfiction

I'M SO CONFUSED I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO ANYMORE i guess I'll just wait to see what happens

And I'm here wondering what kind of songs he would listen to. I think he would like dark fantasy music, or witch music. I don't care if he's on medieval era and people didn't had access to a lot of music genres at that time, we are talking about disney nothing is historically correct

I can't help but think about Lana Del Rey but being a huge fan of her songs I don't think that it matches his tastes. I guess he maybe would like Aurora's last album, The Gods We Can Touch. I don't know why, it's the witchy vibes I guess. But I don't know, it's still not something that matches him a lot. EXCEPT FOR THE SONG MIDAS TOUCH FROM AURORA. IT'S PERFECT FOR HIM YOU GUYS SHOULD CHECK IT OUT

The cover isn't giving the aesthetic though, Aurora made this song for a show and then put the show album cover unfortunately. But her aesthetics are usually whimsical and magic, inspired by theatre, greek gods and tarot. This song is so good 😭

And of course there are songs like Everything Matters that fits his vibe but idk it depends on who's listening since it's not about the lyrics. The Innocent has a small part who matches him a little, the whole song has that witchy vibe dancing around the fire, I don't know how to describe it.

Coming back to Cedric I think my favorite scenario is him having an apprendice not too much younger than him. I think it's cute. I've never seen any fics like this (in fact I just read like 5 oneshots which is almost nothing) and if you guys know any let me know. I think it's just nice the idea of living with him and being his apprendice while having like a romantic tension between the two characters. It's cute

Also remember when I said I was going to talk a little more about the brazillian portuguese dub? So, something that I thought was really funny happened to me: In the first season he had his voice actor obviously and I was already used to his voice some time after watching the cartoon. It was very funny to me because the first time I saw a "scene compilation" of him it was in english, so hearing him talk in my language was fun. And btw his voice actor did a really good job voicing him, he (had a similar voice and) was really expressive just like his english VA, so like, really nice 👍

And then at some point in season two, from one episode to another, his voice actor suddently changed????? And obviously I got a little sad because his first VA was really good and I was used to his voice :( but the thing is: The new VA wasn't just a new one, IT'S THE SAME GUY WHO VOICED DR FLUG HERE IN BRAZIL AND I WAS LIKE OMG

THEY ARE SO SIMILAR IN PERSONALITY AND NOW THEY HAVE THE SAME VOICE WITH THE VOICE ACTOR'S MANNEIRISMS AND EVERYTHING (because that VA really has an specific way to talk, he stutter a little, sounds a little ironic but at the time really anxious, make some funny sounds for no reason sometimes like his screams)

I was really upset when they changed all the brazillian voice actors in Villanos, and that Flug didn't had his full-of-personality-and-expressive voice anymore :( the new episodes now have new voices and eveything, and they did their best, but it's not the original voices anymore and it doesn't hit the same yk? And then BAM CELDRIC HAS DOCTOR FLUGS VOICE NOW BITCH TAKE THIS

and the fact that Sofia The First was dubbed even before Villanos came out it's so funny to me

So yeah let me show you guys his amazing work at voicing two of my favorite characters:

After they changed Cedric's voice actor I was a little annoyed by the fact that I couldn't hear Cedric anymore, just Flug 😭 but now I'm slowly getting used to it and it's starting to sound like Cedric again.

Before that happened I could see some similarities between the two but I thought that I was just thinking too much and trying to connect two fandoms that I like, so I just forgot about it. After that happened my mind just blew it all make so much sense right now

And they are so similar in personality that I had to make a list of everything they have in common:

They work for guys that are completely blind to their talents and think that they're just idiots all the time

They have more potential than people think

Their projects/spells always go wrong because people keep disrupting their public moments, and so they are seen and weak and dumb (when they're not)

Science/Magic guys (they keep throwing liquids from one pot to another and saying difficult words, only for someone to stop them halfway and the substance explodes in their face, making them angry because this person once again interrupted their project that was going perfectly)

Self-confidence issues

Anxious mess, are always nervous and scared of something bad happening all the time

Childhood trauma because people never really saw their acomplishments and again and again kept repeating that they are idiots who don't know nothing (when they are geniuses!!)

They say that they're mean and they say that they do mean things when actually they are just really nice. They just choose that path because they think it's the only one that can bring them sucess and recognition in the future, but they were never made for this. They just do that because they want to proof their value to people who can't see it.

At the same time that they are mentally unstable, sometimes their confidence is so high that they start to act arrogant because "they're too smart and their projects are amazing": "I love what I do I'm the best sorcerer/scientist in the world"

But when they need to show that to people something bad always happens (because of other people!) And their plan fails, leaving them with confidence issues

"I'm too smart you guys don't deserve me"

"I can't do anything right omg i'm so stupid"

Their movements and maneirisms are so expressive, they're both skinny and tall and keep making those anxious poses, fidgeting with their hands, always anxious, scared of something, thinking too much and overall being nervous and ankward around their bosses

Boss just treats them as failures and gives them orders, in which they respond in the most submissive and saddest way because they're just miserable and just two little guys who are trying to proof their value in a place where no one even see them as people

But sometimes they are genuinely egoistic and egocentric because duh they're the best sorcerer/scientist out there, hello everybody is gonna know their name when they rule the world bye

They act so stupid and lovesick in their official crushes episodes, it's so funny

And even if we never saw Dr Flug's official face there is a design out there in the fandom where he has black hair with white streaks on his bangs so like 👍👍

Well um I guess that's all I have to say about this subject for now

Hi. I made this post while very frustrated with how performative trans allyship (even WITHIN trans communities) tends to boil down to the aestheticization/fetishization of trans bodies. ive been trying to be less aggressive in how i word things but it still happens and then it blows up and then people get mad at me for being aggressive. Lemme clarify some thing because this post wasn't supposed to blow up and have people take it super seriously

you're allowed to think trans people are hot. you're allowed to think our junk is hot, you're allowed to make fanfic and fanart featuring trans people in sexual situations. there's zero problem with that. the problem comes when we're consistently boiled down to what's between our legs and treated as sexual objects rather than people. We get enough of that from the people who hate us, we don't need it from the people who like us- and being trans yourself doesn't make you immune to doing this, either. There's worlds of difference between self-expression and fetishization, but if you constantly talk about other trans people's genitals and then don't show up for your community...that's not great.

i am NOT saying that you're not allowed to hc/make/be a transmasc twink or a large masculine transfem or a white androgynous afab enby. I'm saying that it's frustrating for those of us who do not fit any of those paradigms to constantly see only those types of people reflect our entire community. You're not a bad person for doing any of this- it's a problem if you can't imagine anyone other than a twink as being transmasculine, but it's a problem that can be fixed. It's not my intention to erase or undermine people's experiences, though i understand how unclear wording can lead to people thinking that's what I'm trying to do.

if you're not sure what you can do to 'care' about trans people besides engaging with headcanons and fandom- engage with the community, talk about trans rights and issues, show up to protests and support any trans people you know in real life. too often i see performative activism shouting about how great certain minorities and populations are, how beautiful and powerful and strong they are, and the moment the groups ask for help they get nothing, excuses on how this isn't the time or they don't have the resources or we're asking for too much.

anyway. i wasn't expecting this to get as many notes as it has and im not trying to antagonize or belittle people. i was wanting to vent some frustrations but had the poor fortune of being a transgender person with opinions who doesn't always spend twenty full minutes formatting and researching every post i make on the topic. im not perfect, neither are you, please don't put me on blast for semantic and tone issues. thanks

i honestly don't know. yakuza destroyed my perception of overrating a character by burying the bar underground any time they introduced a "badass" character with a kansai accent who ultimately turns out to be Nothing so any character from any other series pretty much gets a pass from me

about which thing. abolishing the current system and making the world a better place? yeah

3. were naruto's intentions with sasuke selfish?

was A Teenager wrong for trying to "rescue" a kid he related to who he knew had no friends or family in his corner? get real

4. are the romantic undertones between naruto and sasuke intentional or accidental?

i genuinely think they were not intended to be romantic despite all odds (including but not limited to official animators drawing yaoi of them)

5. can kishi write romance?

on purpose? no

6. what makes the Naruto ending bad?

the sudden introduction of kaguya is the objective answer i think. could have easily skipped straight from finding a way to kill madara to the last naruto vs sasuke fight and been good, BUT!!!!! as a boruto fan i love that otsusuki nonsense so kaguya walked so urashiki my beloved (filler character) could run etc

7. should Naruto have become hokage ?

narratively speaking it was literally the goal of the series from the first chapter/episode so it was inevitable and baffling to argue against. however i do think it would have been Pretty Fucking Cool to turn those expectations on their heads and let naruto and sasuke reach an actual compromise to change the ninja world for the better by abolishing current systems rather than just. they beat each other up until naruto gets his way

please i love the idea of her so much. merely shittily written thank you. i don't think she even needed to not be in love with sasuke but i think she would have been a much more interesting character if she had to come to grips with the fact that he's not the same person she loved and fight him head on if only in the same way naruto does (trying to get him to come to his senses and come home). but that would require kishimoto to actually utilize his female characters

11. is Itachi a martyr, a victim, or a perpetrator?

moot point considering he was one of many victims of kishimoto's retcons. he was a perpetrator and then retconned to be a martyr and victim both. even his design got retconned so he had to randomly put his headband on wrong in a more detailed massacre flashback instead of that being an iconic look for the character as what seemed to be originally intended lol

12. who should've died in war arc?

guy surviving makes no sense but i'll allow it. no idea what the point of ohnoki still being alive somehow even into boruto era is. obito should have lived

13. was kakashi trying his best? / was he a "good" sensei?

two different questions. kakashi was in fact trying his best but "good sensei" is a complicated question. are we talking about creating the best possible child soldiers? because that's the in-universe idea of a good sensei. either way, you can roast kakashi for shrugging his students off to the sannin but acknowledging his own limits as a teacher and recommending additional teachers is what i would consider a good quality. also he is blatantly depressed so [points back to the "trying his best" part of the question]

14. openings or endings?

openings is this even a question. haruka kanata, GO!!! (the fighting dreamers one), and hero's come back have special places in my heart.

15. Is naruto white coded for having blonde hair blue eyes?

for the last time the uchiha are not a separate race they are literally just a ninja clan. tobirama as well as every other senju aside from hashirama (who is the exception and was never supposed to be the rule) harbor a grudge against the uchiha due to their families clashing in war for a fucking bajillion years. tobirama in particular, as stated by the man himself, treats anyone he sees as a potential threat with "extreme caution" and there is no reason for any senju to not categorize the uchiha as such

17. Is Sakura useless?

does kishimoto hate actually utilizing her as anything but a victim of sasuke's Whole Shit? yes. but she did have that cool forest of death moment and the sasori fight at least. and conceptually her being a Super Healer is useful as hell. society if sakura was better utilized

Hm, okay so it's always tricky to narrow things down, but let's see…

Before I put my lists, here, I'm going to state that I am choosing these based on canon only. Characters like Hunk and Shiro have been tweaked in fanon to a versions I love, but that is not how they actually are in the show. And characters like Allura and Lotor had a ton of untapped potential, but it would be a whole different thing to list my favorite characters based on what could have been.

Keith and Lance are, appropriately, pretty much neck and neck. Keith is just a little more of a favorite because he's the one I personally relate to the most.

Both Keith and Lance had enough character stuff in the beginning seasons to make them interesting to me. I wanted to know more about them, and I wanted to watch them grow. That, to me, is a solid foundation for favorite characters.

Coran, I realize, may be a surprise. He was just the stupid comic relief, right? Except no, in the beginning he wasn't just the zany character who said wacky things for laughs – he also genuinely cared about the Paladins. And I love that duality in characters.

Krolia is a very specific one – because I love her as her own person, but I don't like her as "Keith's mom." I have a whole post about that subject, so here I'll just say that…hey, sometimes it's as simple as the fact that I just have a thing for badass warrior women, okay?

Shay may also sound like a random choice. But she was just…sweet. Like, from what I can remember, just genuinely good – and that was refreshing. I wish they had actually done more with her.

Note: Animals are excluded from this list, because they are automatic favorites.

Favorite moments:

Episode 2: Allura and Coran testing the Paladin's response time. Allura asks how long it took them to response, and Coran replies: "Seventy-five degrees. [pause] Oh, sorry. No this is a meat thermometer!" Klance fanart made me start watching. That moment made me keep watching. Because it genuinely made me laugh.

Sunset scene. You know the one, and you know why. (Look just have characters get along and support each other, okay? And let them talk! Is that too much to ask?)

I don't remember which episode, but the moment where Lance confesses his feelings to the mice and they tell Allura. Allura's reaction was one of the best things (and the reason why it makes me upset with how that all turned out). It was pure expectation subversion, because you could see it all in her body language and hear it in her voice: She didn't know what to do, because she didn't want to hurt him. This moment meant so much to me because so often female characters are forced into situations where it feels like they don't really have a choice. It makes them feel like objects. But this moment took me by surprise because I thought "wait, for the first time in a show like this, are we going to get to witness a male and female character choosing friendship over romance because it was better for both of them??" Alas –

Lance staring at Keith open mouthed when he was returning after the space whale. Like…bro…you're telling me this shit was platonic?? You're telling me Lance's brain literally stopped functioning for a solid 6 seconds of screentime because his rival was back???

5. The Keith/Shiro fight in season 6. Say what you will about the writing and choices made for VLD. The animation and choreography for that fight was fucking spectacular. And basically the only thing I need to say to prove that is that if you watch the fight, and really pay attention, you'll notice that Keith was fighting defensively in all but one moment (when he went Galra for a split second). I love stuff like that because it means it's not just a mindless action scene – there's a purpose to it, and the actual characters and their motivations are built into the fight.

OOOOF okay that took a lot of thought and I know the minute I hit post on this I'll think of other moments I loved (it's been a while since I actually watched, and it's sometimes hard to distinguish canon from fanon lol). But yeah, that was fun!

Hi, hello, and greetings! My codename is Tru (other things you can call me are Aster and Astro, and maybe Hue but I have an OC named Hue so I might get confuzzled). I am an afro-irish girl who currently goes by she/they pronouns, and I love love LOVE writing and illustrating (I do both traditional and digital art). Very good question! As of now, this blog is just my journey in personal growth within the sphere of art and general creative works. I'm very passionate about my original stuff right now, and I'm currently working on an animated series called "Beyond Time and Space," which is a fantasy, portal world, coming of age adventure. More on that another day because I'm still trying to figure out how I can talk about it without going off the rails about why I love it so much :) In other words, expect most of my posts to also be w.i.p.s and fanart of that.

OKAY. UH, ANYTHING THAT INTERESTS YOU?

As said before, I'm very much into original art in general, but what type of art specifically piques my interest? A good old mix of fantasy and sci-fi is something I will always love to see, especially if they're together. Give me something about a techno-magic alliance and I will EAT THAT UP! Nothing is better than good old robots and wizards being pals :) (also anything featuring minority characters, like I'll lap that stuff up, buddy boy, yum yum)

My interests do tend to fluctuate, though. One moment I'll be into both, another moment just one, and the next I'll be into neither of them but rather the psychology of the human condition. It really just depends.

Fandom-wise, I'd generally consider myself multifandom, or just out of fandoms in general. Some would consider me part of the Disney sphere (or as I like to call it, "Gisnep"), others see me as a huge transformers fan (and don't get them wrong, I definitely am), but I actually haven't been indulging in those things for a VERY long while now (at least up until 2023). The only fandom I've been consistent with as of recent is the object show community, and that's only because my brother's in it.

“What’s my punishment?”

Yuma looked at Makoto.

The sound of something being locked rang out. Yomi was too far away and could barely see what was happening because there were so many peacekeepers. They all had their guns pointed at the former director, and being the wise (cowardly) person he was, Yomi chose to stay behind and watch.

“Well, for now, you will go to jail and wait, we will judge fairly based on your crime, maybe even consider reducing your sentence because you have done good deeds while working here.”

A soft chuckle out of place echoed in the room, it was easy to tell who made it. Makoto tilted his head slightly to ask what was wrong.

“No, it's nothing,” Yuma smiled, “it's just…you're too merciful. Makoto Kagutsuchi.”

The mask covered Makoto’s face so no one could guess what the masked man was thinking, on the contrary, Yomi rolled his eyes at that nonsense sentence.

“But perhaps, these should not come from the mouth of a criminal.” Yuma shrugged, lowering his amethyst-like eyes to the silver “jewelry” currently around his wrist.

The lilac-haired man slowly approached the door, waving goodbye, and as if on purpose, rattling the chains so that they emitted a metallic sound.

“Farewell, detectives”

Yomi frowned, the thing on Yuma's wrist reflected the light from the ceiling light in the room.

It was handcuff.

Did he do it on purpose, Yomi muttered to Martina, that's really something to brag about??

“Shall we go?” Calmly, Yuma asks the nearest peacekeeper.

The man looked confused, but since the CEO didn't show any signs of objection, he bowed and led Yuma out of the room. . . .

But here's the thing, if the character somehow got to our world and found out that their life was created by someone for ppl to pass time and entertain themselves, what would be their reaction to the fandom (fics, ships, reader insert stuff, fanart and other fan made stuff), the creator (and them getting profit or being responsible for their suffering and creating them the way they are? Like flaws/ appearance/ personality n that shit), the gatcha, other characters that they knew, and just generally to the whole thing about them being a fictional character from a game in a different world

“So, what you’re saying is I’m from a video game, and I am a very desired character. And because of this many people draw pictures of me.” He asks, standing with his hand on his chin as he tried to process this.

You nodded and you got your phone and looked up a simple

“Diluc fanart”

And showed him the results.

He was a little put off now knowing that there were so many people watching him at all times. Not only were they were watching him but they liked him enough to draw him.

“Well, they all are very talented, but why is this one titled ‘Daddy Diluc’ with my shirt off?” He asked, and you snatched your phone from a him as quick as possible and closed out of whatever file or photo album he scrolled to.

With a nervous laugh you turned back to him hiding your phone, not wanting to admit to what he had seen.

“How about we look at some fanfics instead.” You suggested, changing tabs on your phone. You showed him the Tumblr thread as he began to scroll.

“And these are-?” He asked as he looked back at you.

“Stories about you and other characters, or somethings you and the person reading. Those are called self inserts.” You explained, he nodded, slightly understanding until he had scrolled to an NSFW story.

“What does NSFW stand for?” He asked, you shot up from your chair and smacked the phone out of his hand as quickly as possible.

“Okay maybe that’s not a good idea either.” You laughed nervously again as Diluc stared at you curiously. As far as he was concerned NSFW was just a couple of meaningless letters thrown together, but your reaction makes him think it was obviously more than that.

“How about I explain it this way. Because you’re a very desired character, many people are attracted to you,” You began. He nodded, understanding.

“myself included,” you mumbled, he didn’t catch it so you cleared your throat and continued.

“Many of them make art of you and other characters together and more often than not it’s because of a ship.”

Right at that moment you completely lost him. He looked at you confused,

“What do boats have anything to do with this?” He asked, his eyebrows were furrowed together as he tried to think of a logical way that a mode of water transport would have anything to do with him and other characters.

“No no, this kind of ship is a pairing of you and another character, like a relationSHIP.”

Diluc nodded in response,

“So wait, people pair me with other characters? Like who?” He asked, you sighed knowing the question was going to come up sooner or later.

“Well-“ you began as you listed off every person he had been shipped with. As you went on Dilucs face began to contort out of confusion and slight disgust.

“Just... don’t ask and we can both forget about it.” You suggested and he nodded in agreement.

“Gladly.”

Kaeya

“Well this is... interesting.” The blue haired man muttered as he had scrolled through the object that he held in his hands.

He had just seen it lying face up on the counter and his curiosity got the better of him.

And he was very surprised by what he saw.

Just, pages and pages and pages of him in different poses with different people, in varying levels of... intensity.

He was very confused at first, unsure of how to respond but as he wen through he realized each post had a red heart underneath it.

What could that possibly mean?

As he scrolled through he eventually got into the works of writing, all with the same ‘Kaeya x reader’ underneath their titles.

Before he could scroll any farther he heard the door creak open as you walked into the room with a warm joyous smile on your face.

Well until you saw Kaeya with your phone.

“Kaeya, why do you have my phone?” You asked, he looked down at the bright object then back at you.

“So that’s what it’s called, well you did just leave it open so I decided to have a look.” He admitted with a shrug.

You quickly snatched it from him and looked at it realizing he had been through all your posts that you had saved under the label ‘Kaeya’.

Your heart pace quickened out of embarrassment,

“How much did you see?” You asked, he chuckled and moved closer to you, he lightly lifted you chin so you’d look at him, he leaned into your ear and whispered,

“You seem to like me in some interesting positions.” He teased, and let go of your face.

You covered your face, not wanting to look at him.

“Oh, don’t be shy now, its quite cute that you like me that much. I find it, oddly endearing.” He admitted, patting your head lightly.

You finally took your head out of your hands as you looked up at him. He smiled at you as he leaned in close to your face yet again.

“Although, you should be more careful about having your ‘phone’ open to such a... suggestive image.” He teased yet again as you backed up from your face and walked out of the room.

You looked down at your phone which screen has been dimmed a bit, as you raised the brightness you saw a picture of Kaeya you definitely would not be able to unsee for a long while.

Zhongli

Zhongli is definitely a fan of stories,

But the stories he found were definitely not the ones he had in mind.

You didn’t know how to explain to Zhongli that he’s from a game and people all over the internet love and adore him, without showing him.

He doesn’t even know what technology is, let alone the fact people use it to create artwork of him.

“Traveler, I apologize if this is a bit odd, but I saw you looking at some paintings of me on your phone item. How do you have so many? Did you make them also yourself? You’re quite talented if so.” He asked, as you looked from him, to your phone, then back up to him.

He was just patiently standing infront of you, waiting for an answer.

You sighed slightly as you put down whatever you were doing and grabbed your phone.

“Oh, I’m sorry, was that not something I was supposed to bring up?” He asked, confused by your reaction.

You shook your head as you patted the spot next to you, gesturing for him to sit down next to him.

“No no, you were going to find out sooner or later.” You said as he politely sat down next to you and faced you, ready to listen to whatever story or explanation you were going to give him.

As you explained he asked a few questions, which you answered as best you could.

After you explained how the world Zhongli came from was not exactly real, he was just a character in a video game, and because of that, many people around the world love him and make things to show their love and appreciation for him.

He nodded, trying to understand,

“Well that’s definitely not what I expected. I’ve always had some sort of following but this, admittedly was not what I expected. So all of these people know about Rex Lapis?” He asked, to which you nodded in response.

“I see, well. There’s not much I can to about it now I suppose.” He said, turning back to you with a slight sigh. All the effort putting into hiding and it was, somewhat for nothing.

Liyue was going to have to learn how to be on their own regardless, so leaving wasn’t going to affect them to much, which was comforting to him.

“Thank you, traveler, for answering my question. I understand it was probably hard to explain this to me but I believe I understand now.” He thanked, you nodded accepting it and smiled at him.

However, your smile faltered when you saw Zhongli so lost in thought. You supposed it was because he basically left behind the only thing he’s every known.

You lightly put your hand on his shoulder, snapping him out of his thoughts.

“Hey, Why don’t we make some tea, I feel like you’d want to try these flavours.” You said, as he looked back over to you, he recognized this as a way to cheer him up and appreciated it.

“That would be wonderful.”

Hello my dear! What's up? Still didn't read the part 3 but plan to read it today at night (it's still afternoon here in Brazil). I'm very happy to hear that you've liked the idea of us being penpals! WOW, don't even get me started on Steven, it's my favorite show! I love everything in it, the art, the characters, the soundtrack, the story, every goddamn thing! The shame is that Steven spoiled me: IMHO, I loved the ending of Diamond Days, it was perfect, closing everything. (1/5)

And Star ending, was, for me, as you know, awful, a giant smelly mess... Anyway, I just looked some fanarts of Steven, and the only theory I've got since S3 was that Rose was PD, and I got that right haha. And I 100% agree with you: Starco was build up from the very 1 ep, whereas Startom was the most rushed relationship I've ever seen in any cartoon. Don't get me wrong, I loved S3 and its events, because it had the exact tension it was needed for Star and Marco realize their feelings (2/5)and go to S4 already knowing then, just needind a gentle nudge to get things going but nope, they yeeted the whole meaning os S3 out of the window because they simply don't know how to write a proper story... LHF was ridiculous, and CotBM was the point where I got infuriated with the writers... I know it was good for Starco, but it was not good for the show as a hole. They really messed up S4 to a point that it tainted the whole SVTFOE show because of it. I'll get on details later, (3/5)

because I want to hear your take first on your analysis! As for the trope as a whole, people will always have a subjective taste for what they like on a couple, but that doesn't mean that they can just say out loud that the main couple is rushed because they think, when there is objective evidence of its build up. You can like a couple because you think it's cute and forget what is cannon due to your preference and creat a whole new stories out of it, (4/5)

Hey! Sorry to answer so late! I was busy the other day and I could reply to you just now. I hope everything’s well on your end. Also, hope you liked part 3 of that analysis. Part 4 would probably be late. There’s a lot to cover but oh well.

Steven has spoiled us all. I didn’t like it that much, but friends convinced me to watch it and it’s very cute and endearing, and the season finale was almost perfect! I don’t really like engaging with the fandom, so I never read theories about it, and I’ve been happy about it. Everything has been surprising and very delightful experience.

Yeah, as for Star... I did see Tomstar happening after Jarco became a thing, as to make Marco jealous. Classic trope. I just never expected it to last for so long, get so much screentime to the point Marco got sidelined, and the whole romantic triangle to get more focus than the main plot when we all knew that it was going to end. The ones who didn’t know, well, good you remained oblivious until the very last second, lol. I did not particularly like the first half of season 4, as it seemed it lacked a bit of focus. There were certain episodes which were very interesting, but others not so much. All those “Tom learns to let got” episodes took too much time. LHF was... just to make us feel bad about Tom, tbh, and for people to say he “deserved” more. Not sure a lot of people understand that characters, all characters but secondary characters especially, are plot-devices, by definition. Not sure why anyone thought Tom would be given more importance than Marco, when Marco was the male main character from the very first episode. 

And you’re absolutely right! I haven’t liked some canon ships either, but I least I admit they were always hinted to be together from the beginning. This is actually sound writing advice: if you want two characters to eventually get together, start hinting it from their first meeting and develop it from then.

The thing about the destiel wedding and all the meta and other flurries of fandom renaissance since 15x18 is... like, they could just enjoy themselves and their hivemind over in their corner and not bother anyone? They could take what canon gave them (3 separate finales, to make everyone happy!) and expand on it in fanon, rather than rabidly insisting what they've scoured and pieced together of subtext is TRUEFAX ACTUAL CANON. But instead they're shitting on the cw and spn in reviews, shitting on walker, shitting on jared, "boycotting," purposely making their tags trend on twitter and having embarrassing meltdowns with literal actors from the show and brand accounts and. It's just. So insane. And cringe.

And SAD! Cuz Wincest may be my main, but destiel brought me here (well, first a gen merlin xover brought me, but anyway) and I still have ~feelings~ about it. (My feelings for wincest are stronger, cuz my sam-and-dean feelings are stronger--even when I read destiel I'm super picky about how sam and dean's relationship is portrayed. Even Castiel said they chose each other ffs. And you don't find it often, but I prefer ace Cas.) Even though it's not often written well, canon does say Cas is Dean's best friend, after all. And sometimes I really enjoy the meta and fanart and typical in-joke craziness. (Tbh the "destielection" insanity and "clinton-fucker-misha" was objectively hilarious.)

But also, like, I don't understand the fixation on NEEDING it to be canon and acknowledged by the actors. Y'all weren't gonna get "good rep" from that show, but you can take it anywhere in fanon! Instead, they pay actors on cameo to say shit about dean and cas and act like it's canon; like wtactualf. Embarrassing af. I guess maybe this behavior comes from the same hyper-realism-expectation that makes them clutch their pearls at incest and codependency (wtf show have they been watching). *sigh*

The more it goes on, the worse they get, and it's actually affecting my mood. Like sometimes I want to reblog something cute or funny or meta, but I hesitate because I don't want to be associated with them! :( there are SO MANY bad takes. Particularly the ones that are like "cas is the only (good) character/spn sucked before angels/etc" (omg i actually do like castiel as a character but i hated most of the angel plotlines and the growing feeling that that's all spn was now). And normally I'm like, "fuck you i do what i want it's my blog" but right now it's just exhausting. Especially cuz lol all those h*llers and their "w*ncesties dni" shit.

Maybe the passage of time has shined up my rose colored glasses, but I don't think any other fandoms I've been in have been so toxic. There are always shipping wars of some kind, but usually it's more het vs. not-het? Maybe there were also anti-incest rabids, but I don't remember it??? (Maybe anime fandoms are more ok with it in general? Or maybe my lj was just really well-curated lol.)

Granted, I've not been in many non-anime/live action fandoms. And the advent and spore-like growth of social media has made things that much worse and exposed. I shudder to think what the RIFs would've been like if they'd had twitter instead of the [adult swim] forum.

So we're already off to a great start, with Canonseeker - sorry, "Troy" - taking my Beacon Summer x Qrow fanart, mangling it and adding dialogue so it's Summer x Tai instead, all to the tune of comically triumphant orchestral music. The original art pieces I drew are all below. The one of Team STRQ that "Troy" used where he spitefully removed Qrow is not even the complete sketch.

Now I don't ship Summer x Tai, but you will not be finding me frivolously taking someone else's ship and non-ship art and making blatant edits to it just to prop up my preferred ship. If you don't ship Hummingbird (Summer x Qrow) or even despise it, I still implore you to exercise some objectivity and see whose actions are clearly in the wrong here, regardless of what ship they support.

Do I even need to comment on this? I have never personally interacted with Hunter, Cal nor Arnold aside from Twitter replies. Contrary to popular belief, a RWBY critic doesn't automatically dislike MurderOfBirds just because he's a RWBY fan. And even if they did, they would dislike his views/opinions, not his personhood or the fact that he's black.

God, why the hell do RWBY stans (not regular fans, mind you) love to paint RWDE as racist, when they're the ones so unreasonably fixated on race? Maybe check yourself first, asshole.

Let's see what my actual last conversation with Canonseeker looks like.

This is Canonseeker's current Discord tag. As I've said before, they change it on a regular basis to avoid detection so they can evade bans and hide in other servers without outing themselves.

For those unfamiliar with Discord, if someone deletes their DM history with you, it's deleted for everyone, so you can no longer see their messages. As a result, you only end up seeing your own replies to the person, while all of their messages are gone. If you block someone, their messages would be hidden by default but not gone outright.

As you can see from my DM screenshots and this screenshot of my server, Discord DMs don't have roles, only servers do, so I cannot have a coloured name with an icon in private DMs (and it's not even the right shade of green). That is only possible because I enabled it on my server, which I banned Canonseeker from. Canonseeker, no, Eren. I know you think you can get away with saying anything on the internet no matter how ludicrous or false, but this time you have crossed the line. Your video can be seen as actionable enough for someone to take legal action for libel, impersonation, and slander against you, and you just provided free evidence for it. Now, I am not saying that I individually will throw a lawyer at you, but someone with financial backing could definitely do so now and they’d likely win the case. There’s so much evidence of your behavior and actions from dozens upon dozens of people who would be more than willing to testify against you because you’ve been doing this for several years now.

Eren, you fabricated screenshots of SYTO in his name, impersonated him on a sockpuppet account in your own private Discord server (Incorrect name color, for one, made it quite easy to tell it was fake, not to mention the impersonations are so poorly done that it’s clear you just wrote in your own mannerisms the SYTO you imagined him to be.) and you wrote statements in his name that are 100% designed to paint him as a racist, sexist, and transphobic bigot. You have put your own words into SYTO’s mouth. You should not only delete the video in question, you should own up, apologize for this blatant violation of the law, delete all your sockpuppet accounts and never interact with social media ever again. You are unwelcome. The people who respond to your false statements, myself included, do not want to be around you. If someone says no, Eren, you need to respect that and stop going after people. You keep repeating the same behavior over and over, bypassing us blocking you. You aren’t some child or teenager who doesn’t know any better. You’re a 34 year old grown man. Act like it. Take some responsibility for once in your life and respect people’s boundaries. You are not above the law, and you are not above people’s privacy and personal space.

(And to those who say, “Canonseeker goes by They/Them!”, all of his official profiles on websites like LinkedIn and Facebook are distinctly He/His, not to mention all of the porn he’s commissioned specifically focuses on Taiyang, who is Canonseeker’s favorite character for him to project his fantasies onto. If he was truly They/Them, he’d be commissioning more variety than just straight Taiyang porn. He’s also not above pretending to be women of color on his alt accounts while being a middle-aged white man, so make that of what you will.)

I know that you know what you’re doing is wrong, which is why you’re so keen on continuing this ridiculous charade because it means you get attention. I know nothing of your personal life, but I do know you are constantly in debt, starving yourself, and continuing to burn yourself out by being angry online seemingly every waking hour at people who don’t want to hear from you. This can’t be allowed to continue. If I see you make one more post or video talking about how I or SYTO or Calxiyn or Vexed or MurderOfBirds or anyone else is some “racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, bigot, etc.”, I’ll be notifying the appropriate authorities. Character I first fell in love with:

My Screaming Deku child had my heart from the moment he stood atop the pile of A1 Pictures shows Dagoba Beach Trash, and then, in the scene just before combat training, he made eye contact with Bakugo, looked away out of reflex, then decided to look back and I just couldn’t this boy will become a man and that man will be the No. #1 Hero

A character I never expected to love as much as I do now:

Lord Explosion Murder, Kacchan, King Explosion Murder, Asshole, the one and only Bakugo Katsuki, his first interaction is telling Deku that he will never be a hero so he should An Hero and I’ve never seen an allied antagonist so quickly and effectively set up.  

You hate him, but as you see how and why he’s that way, later in the series -especially the Manga-  then you kind of see that he’s just a dick that never accepted that other people can be better than him and he can use that to see how to improve himself -which, while I’m here, is exactly why he’s Deku’s antithesis- and as he grows into accepting that, he’s a really good character.

I adore everyone.  I adopted all 40 1-A and B students and Shinso Hitoshi.At a stretch I guess I don’t like Kirishima as much as everyone else, but since I’m limited to what Lord and Saviour VIZ Media put out, I’m only on Volume #10 whereas the fandom is at Volume what... #16 now?  and I’ve been spoiled on Black haired Red Riot so I really just can’t wait.  But I still adore Kirishima Eijirou and he rockie face. also Tetsu x4. #

Character I love but everyone else hates

A character I used to love but don’t any longer:

With Every Exposure To Every Character, I Love Them More.  As people and characters.  Before reading the manga, or the last episode of Season 2, I could say Shigaraki Tomura, but then he gets so fleshed out and there’s also late Manga spoilers that you can ask for that just make everything about him... Click.  Nothing Horikoshi can do will ever make me think less of these people.  

A character I would kiss: 

GIVE! ME!  SHIMURA! NANA! SCREENTIME! 

The predecessor to All Might, she gave her life to slow the tide of chaos from All For One.  She deserves SO MUCH LOVE.

Character I want to slap:

It’s cheap and common, but the way Mineta brings down so many scene he’s in is well-deserving of a solid back-hander.

But coming back to the other Q.  Even Mineta, pathetic as he is, gets development as early as USJ, he’s a stupid moron that basically fluked his way past the entrance exam, and his confidence -that I will forever say is a poor front that he puts up- reflects it.  also Mineta totally made it in because Horikoshi is a self-described perv and he wanted a self-insert.

A pairing I love:

As a general rule I don’t ship, but the fact that Uraraka and Midoriya clearly have feelings for each other, and the way they work with each other. It’s good. 

Also, i keep seeing that KiriMina fanart and lord is it adorable and KiriBaku pretty much works for me.  He’s an unstoppable force, he’s an immovable object. Perfect match.  But again, this isn’t what I’m thinking when I see them interact on screen or page.
