Why hate on characters or have ship battles when we can just ship all four of them? Behold my case study of vanitas ship chart that will satisfy all viewers:

Noe and vanitas are in love, vanitas and Jeanne as in love, Jeanne and Dominique are in love, and Dominique and Noe are in love.

Dominique and vanitas are like don't really care about each other at all and kinda have a mutual dislike.

And Noe and Jeanne are kinda buddies (not that close tho just like maybe respect) with a bit of jealousy on noes behalf cause remember Noe was like "I'm vexxed cause jeanne got to drink vanities's blood first"

An easy way to remember this is just, the black haired people are in love with the white haired people and the white haired people are in love with the black haired people

And now all parties are satisfied and there is no need to hate on characters or ships in the name of shipping!

Maybe unpopular opinion about Dominoè :

I like it. Its nice. I like the friendship they have which definitely had the potential to become a great relationship. I wouldnt say anything like Vanoè is better cuz thats a different conversation entirely.

My only issue with this ship is how Dominique has been in love with Noè since they were children and how Noè doesnt even notice. Like the ignorant angst of it. Noè is, of course, a dumbass, but he doesnt pay attention to Dominique as much as he pays attention to namely Vanitas / as much as Domi pays attention to him.

That being said, both of them love each other, that much is irrefutable. But while Domi's love is more along the lines of yearning for something more, Noè's love is a comfortable thing.

Personally, and this is purely biased, i dont like relationships where characters grow up together then fall in love. It radiates more sibling vibes. Exceptions apply, of course (from other media).

Overall, what im trying to say is Noè doesn't love Domi in the way Domi wants him to love her. It feels like all the attention she showers him with, he showers it on Vanitas.

I don't like the ship mostly in the way its unrequited in one direction.

It's precious to me how Dominique's hair looks long on one side and short on the other in this part, because it references that half of her is Dominique de Sade and the other half would like to be Louis de Sade but each part of her would unite to fight if it was about protecting Noé.
