Drabble challenge! Théodred as the character and “perfect” as the word. (Not putting my thumb on the scales at all! Though I do, indeed, believe him to be perfect, I will not be upset in the least if you apply the word to someone else or in a different context as part of your drabble! 🙂)
Thank you for the ask, and Rohan themed! Perfect... Théodred... It was almost too easy. I tried to give a little (sweet) twist! 🍦
'Wait, there's more coming!' The early summer sun played amongst the ivy leaves falling like curtains over the colonnade. Spots of light and shade danced across the table, making the crystal glasses and silver dishes sparkle under the crumbs and ruins of a copious meal. 'More?' Théodred stretched with a groan. 'It is all delicious, but I have had so much already, I am quite sure that Silverswift will refuse to carry me!' Boromir's gaze lazed over his arms, his neck, his chest, and flashed hopefully at the hem of his tunic for a glimpse of his bare skin. 'You cannot make me believe that you are full already. A strong rider like you needs his sustenance, and you had a long journey to get here!' Théodred puffed, rubbing his stomach. 'Well, it shall be a quite a culinary deed to convince me to eat any more than this.' 'Have some faith in the cooks of Minas Tirith!' A servant placed two chiseled coupes in front of them and slid away. Théodred marvelled at the alternating layers of fruit and smooth, cloud-like dollops. 'I must say, it does look nice...' He raised an expectant spoon. 'Peaches from the orchards of South Ithilien, raspberries from Lossarnach, cream of almond, aquafaba meringue, nectar of the maple, and just a hint of rose from the garden! But of course, if you are not hungry anymore, there is no need to--' 'And how do you call this?' slurred Théodred through a mouthful. 'A parfait,' smiled Boromir. 'It means perfect.' Their eyes laughed into each other's. 'Just like you.'

Hey Tumblr fam, you won't believe the crazy dream I had last night! 🌌✨ It was like a mind-bending scene from a surrealist movie, and I just had to share it with you all. 😅
So, in my dream, I'm chilling in a whimsical, psychedelic diner, and the menu is filled with the most outlandish food items. 🍔🍕🍦 But the wildest option? Turning my hand into a juicy, delicious burger! 🤯🖐️🍔
With a snap of my fingers (or should I say bun fingers 🍞), my hand morphs into a perfect burger patty, complete with all the fixings - lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and a dollop of ketchup! 🍅🧀🍔
At this point, I couldn't resist my newfound craving for the burger-hand. I took a hearty bite, and, folks, it was both mind-blowingly tasty and a bit surreal. 😋🙃
Just as I was about to savor my "finger-licking" burger hand, I woke up from this deliciously bizarre dream! 🌈💤

yuuji would definitely be liking the weirdest food combos. nobara n megumi would already be like man what but they kinda dismiss it bc they think he's only doing it to get a reaction out of them. but no! this guy is genuinely content with whatever monstrosity he decided to create and probably offers them some (which they say no to obviously)
but then at the same time I remembered that yuuji is actually good at cooking (I think, cause of the meatball recipe), so idk if this is contradictory or not..

he’s definitely a “no, really, try it guys!! you’ll like it!!” meanwhile you’re looking at the dollop of whipped cream on his pizza with a less-than-excited expression.
honestly he just seems like a guy that likes everything anyways, so weird food combos are very in character for him.
this isn’t the same but he’d definitely be that guy hogging all the slushee machines so he can have a little bit of every flavor :’)

Brownie Bliss: The Sweet Series
Heyy guys!!! So, as I promised I have an extravagant series of brownie recipes that I am going to share with you guys.
1.🍫 Ultimate Fudgy Chocolate Brownies
Ingredients:
½ cup (113g) unsalted butter
1 cup (180g) dark chocolate, chopped
¾ cup (150g) granulated sugar
¼ cup (50g) brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ cup (60g) all-purpose flour
¼ cup (25g) unsweetened cocoa powder
¼ tsp salt
½ cup (90g) chocolate chips or chunks (optional, for extra gooeyness)
Instructions:
1️⃣ Preheat Oven & Prepare Pan
Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F).
Line an 8x8-inch (20x20 cm) baking pan with parchment paper.
2️⃣ Melt Butter & Chocolate
In a heatproof bowl, melt the butter and chopped chocolate together (microwave in 20-second bursts or use a double boiler).
Stir until smooth and let it cool slightly.
3️⃣ Mix Wet Ingredients
Whisk in granulated sugar & brown sugar until combined.
Add eggs and vanilla extract and whisk until the batter turns glossy (this creates the signature fudgy texture).
4️⃣ Sift & Fold Dry Ingredients
Sift in flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
Gently fold everything together using a spatula (don’t overmix!).
5️⃣ Add Chocolate Chips (Optional but Recommended!)
Fold in chocolate chips for extra gooey brownies.
6️⃣ Bake
Pour batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.

½ cup (90g) chocolate chips or chopped hazelnuts (optional, for extra crunch)
Instructions:
1️⃣ Preheat & Prepare
Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F).
Line an 8x8-inch (20x20 cm) baking pan with parchment paper.
2️⃣ Mix Wet Ingredients
In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, Nutella, and sugar until smooth.
Add eggs and vanilla extract, and whisk until the mixture turns glossy.
3️⃣ Sift & Fold Dry Ingredients

Line an 8x8-inch (20x20 cm) baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
2️⃣ Prepare the Caramel
If you're using store-bought caramel sauce, warm it slightly in the microwave for about 20 seconds to make it easier to swirl.
If you're making your own caramel: In a saucepan, heat sugar over medium heat, stirring constantly until it melts and turns amber. Carefully add butter and heavy cream, whisking until smooth. Let it cool before using.

Today's breakfast!

Vegan almond yogurt, carrot, and clemintine drink + pan-fried egg, steamed kale, sliced vegan bratwurst on a bed of rice!
Very rewarding meal, though I would have loved to have the drink and the food together lol. I forgot to prep and make the drink first, so I made and drank it afterward.
Wrt the drink, I cant quite call it a smoothie yet because I dont have ice and its just not the texture I want it at yet. It has very great flavor, especially the citrus zest; 2 clemintines with pulp amplified by twang of ginger root and a brightness of lemon juice (no cider this time! Didnt need it); lots of honey and carrot to add a tinge of particular sweetness.
BUT
I simply dont have the consistency I desire smdh. The lack of ice means theres less volume to the drink and its lack of viscosity makes the chunks of veggies (particularly the carrot) relatively unplesant in texture. I wouldnt mind said chunks and pieces if they were spread evenly in a smoothie. But alas lol.
Will definitely give the kale a break for more of this bright and healthy juice option!
Ingredients for the drink (no particular proportions; experimenting to taste)
2 clemintines with pulp 🍊
A handfull of baby carrots 🥕
A dash of lemon juice 🍋
A few dollops of vegan yogurt (unsweetened) 🍦
Small cut of fresh ginger root 🫚
LOTS of honey! 🍯
Now that I'm thinking about it, this entire drink would have been nice as is if I had some sort of mesh strainer to seperate the large chunks from the juice itself. That way, it could suffice without ice! 🧊 I def need to invest in one if I cant find one thrifted.
Onto the food!
Nothing too much to say here other than it was a great meal!
The egg was certainly more flavorful than last time, thought I admit it was a bit too much season salt lol. I cooked it last since I was right to remember that eggs cook in like 4 mins max lol. However, I accidentally skipped a step in remembering to heat up the pan with its oil before cracking the egg into it. So for several seconds the poor abortion remained clear and uncooked in the pan, sliding but not simmering. I thought i may have fluked the process again but I turned up the heat a bit and the egg bounced back, the whites appearing slowly as it actually simmered and cooked lol
The rice I simply made in my cute lil rice cooker (i should give it a name 🤔).

My mom got it for me when I was in college, considering I went vegan a few yrs prior, hadnt bought an [unlimited] meal plan at the dorm cafeteria, and may have had limited options (thankfully I didnt, eventually bought and u limited meal plan, and never needed to use the cooker living on campus. It became my ol-reliable later before I left though lol). Its a great cooker and can handle I believe up to around 1 or 1 1/2 cups of rice and its respective portions of water, which is plently for just me and usually enough for 2 servings. I use it almost daily when I cook so its def a staple tool in the kitchen I'm grateful to have. Thanks, mom! 💕
The kale I steamed in a pot with a lid and added a but of Lawry's season salt, a cap full of vinegar, and pepper. Simple yet flavorful. I love seeing the change of volume the kale undergoes as its steamed. A large portion of bright green, rubbery kale leaves that overfills the brim of the pan quickly shrivels into a manageable serving of jeep-green, seasoned kale, steamed to perfection (and much more pleasant to chew!). Speaking of kale transformations lol....
.... Ive had this batch of kale for going on 3 weeks now! I made a post about it before on my nature blog @happigreens (I'll transfer here eventually), but to condense it to the gist of this one, the salt bath i gave the kale was extremely helpful in extending the shelf life of the leaves. By now, theyre finally yellowing and some are wilting from dryness, but many still retain a crisp texture as if freshly harvested. I'll always soak kale leaves in saline water to preserve them! The kale in this meal didnt need that crispness necessarily, but the soaking probably retains its nutritional value for a lot longer, so thats definitely always important!
The brat I cooked the same as last time: pan fried! The brats are so good imo that they dont need any seasoning other than compatible cooking oil! Beyond Meat has some absolutely delish products. I just hope one day plant based products like that can be subsidized or something 😅. Also like before, the brat complimented the egg so well. I really didnt want any meat for this meal but craved the umami flavor combos I had with my last meal. Was not disappointed!
Ingredients for this meal included:
1 Beyond Sausage Brat Origianal link (pulled into pieces for a feeling of bigger portions lol)
1 egg (to be fried)
Like a big bowlfull of kale (again, no exact proportion here lol, but ut was a lot!)
Lawry's season salt (to season kale and egg to taste)
Pepper (for the kale and egg again)
A capful of vinegar (for the kale)
Olive and sesame oil (for pan-frying the egg and brat, and steaming the kale)
1 cup of rice (which take ~2 cups of water to cook)
9/10 It all came together for a great meal! :-)

6 cups of sliced and peeled apples (a mix of sweet and tart varieties)

[ 🍦 ] - going out for ice cream late at night (Izzy)
(i apologize in advance how dumb this is but this is literally how they all bullshit in my head at any given time in the day 🙃)

[sometime in the future]
“God, you’re so boring now we can’t go out clubbing,” Luca complained teasingly, nudging Izzy with his shoulder. “You just had to go and get yourself knocked up, didn’t you?”
Izzy nudged him back, a dollop of her expensive gelato going flying as she did so. “Hey, it’s not like we’ll never go out dancing again. Besides, isn’t your man keeping you busy with work of your own these days?”
Luca scooped up another spoon of salted caramel ice cream. For a brief, insane moment, he’d considered trying something different like hokey pokey or choc chip but in the end, he’d found his favourite and had no interest in exploring other options.
A bit like how he felt about Ryan the first time they’d met. “Yeah, it’s been pretty fun. And Ry is really happy to be back in the air so much.”
“Is it weird? Having to step back now that Skye’s son is older?”
“Nah. I like having Ryan to myself to be honest. And plus, it means I can come visit your lame ass more often.”
Izzy blew a raspberry in his direction, making him laugh. He was teasing. There was absolutely nothing lame about Isobel Morrisini, queen of the Italian underworld and close ally to the O’Riain clan. She perched beside him on the edge of the penthouse’s private gardens, watching the eternal city that was Roma pass by below, beautiful and serene. From here, the ancient coliseum and scattered ruins were bathed in gold light. Luca loved visiting Izzy and Nico in Rome, but already he was homesick with the insistent tug calling back to the highlands and the stones.
“How far along are you now?”
Izzy rubbed her belly, the swell there only just starting to be obvious through the flowery sundress she wore. “Almost eight months. Sometimes it feels like it’s taking forever, sometimes I worry it’s going too fast. We’ve both wanted this so much.”
“I’m glad Vito’s gone now,” Luca said quietly, digging around for the last dregs of caramel. “You won’t have to look over your shoulder anymore.”
Izzy gave him a telling glance. “Nor you. Lainey’s gone?”
“Yeah. Ry dealt with her. I should have let him deal with her years ago when she first started her shit but I was… I dunno. I think I was kinda smug. I didn’t know she could be so dangerous.”
“I don't think anyone could have. But she’s gone now. They both are. Now we get to live the rest of our lives with the men we love.”
“Yeah,” Luca brightened then swung his legs around to climb off the edge. He helped Izzy up too. “God, if Nico sees you like this, he’s gonna freak.”
Izzy laughed. “Oh, he knows. He just knows better than to argue with me now.”
“Still, precious cargo and all that.” Luca gestured to her belly.
“Do you want to feel him kick?”
“What?”
“The ice cream must have woken him up. He’s moving around.”
Luca found himself morbidly curious. Not that he hadn’t been around babies, Kate and Skye pumping them out like it was going out of style, but it was another thing entirely to feel one moving around on the inside.
It kinda grossed him out a little.
Izzy laughed at the expression on his face. “Luca!”
“What! Sorry, I know it’s the miracle of creation and blah blah, but like, isn’t it just, fucking weird? Like… that. In… there. I’m-“
Luca pulled a face, only causing Izzy to laugh harder. “It’s really not that weird.”
“Not to you,” Luca sniffed, but he gingerly poked her belly, only for Izzy to roll her eyes and flatten his palm against the curve of her stomach. “This feels very hetero,” he muttered, only for Izzy to shush him.
At first there was nothing, then a tiny little flutter. His eyes widened. “Holy shit!”
“See,” Izzy looked smug. “Not so weird.”
“Wow. Okay,” Luca pulled his hand away. “So if it’s a boy, you’re gonna call him Luca, right?”
Izzy covered her mouth, trying to hide her laugh. “Um. No.”
“Come on, it’s a good name. And I totally just bought you that gelato and snuck you onto the roof so like, naming your first born after me totally seems like a pretty good deal.”
“Your husband’s black credit card bough the gelato,” Izzy corrected, sweeping past Luca in a swirl of flowing sundress.
He trotted after her, undeterred. “Do you know what Luca means? Bringer of Light. Ry says it's perfect because I remind him of sunshine. How cool is that?”
“Luca-“ Izzy started.
“See, just look how much you already love saying it.”
“Oh for god’s sake,” she melted against him, clutching his arm and finally giving up on holding in her laughter. He giggled right alongside her until they made it downstairs and back onto the street. Across the road, the gelato sign was still lit up in a neon glow and the two black cars flanked its shopfront, ready to take them home once they’d had their fun.
Izzy’s hand tightened on his arm. “You know. I’m not sure I’m ready to go home yet.”
“Aren’t your feet aching? And other pregnant lady stuff? Kate always complains about her back hurt-ow!”
Izzy pinched his side, hard. “You are such a brat.”
“I know,” he grinned then tugged her back across the street. “Come on, let’s get seconds then!”
