My Catwalk Kitties / Shadow High hybrid dolls! I adore them. The idea was sparked from @sleepytoycollection and their own Catwalk Kitties hybrid doll.

Making a Ramus doll now lol

The victims: Drew Carey body from the mid-late 90's and a Devilock Char Aznable body from the mid 00's. (Idk why my phone camera makes the Devilock body look so much more yellow than Drew's body, they are slightly different shades but not by that much lol)

Man I love it when dolls and action figures are held together with screws. :3 Makes hybriding sooo much quicker when I don't have to saw off the bits I wanna use.

I took this pic mainly because I was amused that Devilock put some kind of wax in the tummy joint for added friction/stability. I mean honestly there are worse options! Whatever works XD

The hips had screws, but they seemed to also be glued together. No prob, I like the Devilock butt better anyway, so I'm just gonna trim Drew's butt off and stick his torso on top of the Devilock hips.

Armssssss. I shaved a slant into Drew's shoulder holes as evenly as possible and greenstuff puttied the Devilock shoulder joint pegs in place. (It's a sloppy job don't look too close XD but I managed to preserve as much shoulder articulation as I possibly could with the tools I had on hand.)

Test fit...

More greenstuff and he's all stuck together! \o/

As you might be able to tell from the leg stance, I came up against a small issue with actually joining Drew's belly to Char's hips: both bodies were made before 3d sculpting and printing was a common part of toy engineering, so they're not perfectly symmetrical and have little quirks and imperfections from the master mold having been made off of handsculpted pieces. (One of those quirks is Char's legs seem to be slightly different lengths, and his buttcheeks are two different sizes. XD)

So I prioritized lining up the front over the back...

Eh, so it goes. I can live with it.

Next I need to find where I stowed all my little sample sized jam and honey jars so I can mix up some acetone goop to smooth the transition and cover the greenstuff. :3c

Then I gotta find a head to mod into Ramus, or start sculpting one from scratch...

Ahahahaha. The dangerous part of konmari-ing stuff but not getting it out of your life fast enough; I pulled both these bodies from my destash bins. ^^;; I pulled a couple more for other Lunar character dolls at the same time, actually.... >:3c

and here are these two, from when Ken had the jarringly realistic action figure hands and his stock face and hair paint, and Sunshine Family Mom had all the Sunshine Family-ness going on

also, it turns out that even though I had cleaned her vinyl, it still had a coating of clinging ick all over it, that I didn't discover until I used acetone to wipe off the first attempt at painting lips, and, oh, the acetone also wiped off the ick and revealed her actual plastic color. So I went over all of her exposed vinyl with acetone,and she ended up being a little closer match to the body, too

G1 My Little Pony Yum Yum as a doll is in progress! She’s got a body that matches her head, and I washed the gel out of Zip’s hair to see if this rooting pattern would work with the approximate hairstyle I had in mind. The outfit is just the one Shadow High Natasha came with, with a pink scrunchie from Target added on the bottom. Her head is a g5 Style of the Day MLP! These have a much improved head and body sculpt from the first run of g5s.

I want to give her Yum Yum’s classic bubblegum pink hair I think, and I have plans to make her a different outfit. I think Yum Yum loves anything with a Peter Pan collar and 1950’s/vaguely Sweet Lolita influences, with a touch of lovecore, since fashion inspired by children’s Valentine’s Day decorations matches her color scheme so well. Besides the poofy sleeved dresses with circle skirts, someday I visualize her in a pair of maroon corduroy overalls or an oversized heart sweater. As a stand in for cutie marks, I’m considering drawing elaborate, stylized back tattoos. G1 Mimic and Munchy are on my list for similar treatment at some point.

Demon Baby 2.0's wig arrived, so she's finally officially done.

She's a mystery cast off head I ordered years ago on a RH Bella body, and painted to look like a revamped version of my previous custom, Demon Baby.

I think instead of calling her DB 2.0 however, I'm going to call her Demonica.

I still love my original DB, but this revamp has been a lot of fun.

Ramus' acetone goop is probably hard enough to sand now, which means of course now I'm looking at other bodies to cut apart and goop together for other characters because my brain is still in goop mode. ^^;;

MH torso + Wrasslegal bottom with MH lower legs for Kyle... he's gonna be a bit skinny really, kinda wish I could find something more in-between MH and Ken to use for his upper half, in the right skintone, but I'm okay with this combo for him for now.

Hercules torso + Batman V. Superman waist, shrinken EAH Hunter head for Mel.... gonna be kinda sad to lose the better arm articulation, but the width of Herc's shoulders is kinda perfect for Hell Mel. Soooooo... yup.

Main thing stalling me now is I forget where I stowed the rest of my tiny jam jars for melting doll clippings in acetone... I know I've got 3 or 4 more somewhere around here...

why hello there tall Roxy from short Roxy (with equally hard to tame bangs)

@cosmomoore sent a VIP Pets Roxy that I was holding on to until I got a body with fantasy white plastic, but yesterday I decided to try the head on this 14" "pale but not white" body that @queenofsquids sent--the head fit perfectly, no need to modify anything, and it's a pretty good match proportionally (I mean...well...fantasy dolls are pretty wide open for what seems right in terms of finished proportions 😅) that I think I can overlook the different plastic colors.
