I made a new pattern for doll cargo pants, and I have been testing variations. These are... more or less inspired by Y2K fashion. Kit, Shani, and the rerooted redhead Looks Tamika doll I've named Letitia, are wearing these. I don't think I've ever put more than six real pockets on one pair of doll pants, but these all have seven. I also made a new top and sleeves for Shani.

(The Heart Family MTM hybrid girl, who sneaked into one of the photos, is wearing an outfit I made in 2023/2024, but never got around to photographing much.)

The diorama in the background is made mostly from cardboard and egg cartons.

@dolligrafik thank you. I figured those were all compatible skintones. I've used that Fryda for so many body donors. I've got a growing collection of Fryda and Karl heads lying around 😄

Anyone know a good mtm skintone match for this doll? I can't find her on any of the charts I usually use

I think I've seen some people put her on the petite looks with the Karl face but I'd rather not make her petite.

I'm guessing maybe the brunette soccer player or floral bun?

I'll probably go with the soccer player cause you basically have to auction off an organ to get a floral bun mtm these days 😄

I recently realized that this is my first in box "new" holiday Barbie.

It's probably silly but I think I'll leave her in the box for now and open her on Christmas.

These were taken in the "Ihmeellinen pieni maailma" miniature fair in Espoo, Finland in 2024. The art workshop diorama was created by Susanna, the Ken and Kaarna doll story creator.

The dolls Ken (orange dress), Kaarna (short blue-dyed hair, Mackie sculpt, orange shirt that says "Fuck The Universe", and Mari (the blonde who models for the live drawing) are characters from the Ken and Kaarna doll story.

There were a bunch of dolls from many different people visiting the diorama, it was very fun.

My dolls pictured here visiting the diorama: the guitar-playing Kit (Barbie Looks) with the skull top, the cyrvy Daya fashionista hybrid with the paint-splattered white coat, Becky (the wheelchair user), Trichelle MTM hybrid with the green and black crop top.

These were taken at an interactive doll meet spot at the "Ihmeellinen pieni maailma" miniature fair in Espoo, Finland in 2024. This art workshop diorama was created by Susanna, the Ken and Kaarna doll story creator.

Here are some of my dolls visiting Susanna's art workshop diorama. Kit (Barbie Looks #3), Yolanda (Blue Brocadd Fashionista head on a petite MTM body), Midna (90s Diva/Midge MTM hybrid), and Shani (90s Shani MTM hybrid) are my dolls. Mari (blonde CEO face Curvy MTM hybrid modeling for the Croquis and paintings) is one of Susanna's dolls from her doll stories. Also, in the fifth photo, there's a lovely cat child art doll by another creator (ttmpelko_creations on Instagram).

@dolligrafik you know, I got that side glance mermaid and didn't even realize it was the tori sculpt until much later. Her hair is definitely poly. it's not the really rough, straw like poly so its manageable 😊

I've also seen that one of the Santa barbies from last year is a Tori.

Tori is so cute. Has mattell ever used her face sculpt for any other dolls?

If not, they should.

Now that I'm a little bit better at doll hair I'm going to try and fix her hair. When I first got her I took down her ponytails to wash her hair.

I thought I could put it back but I was very wrong and made a mess.

I stole the girl's pants, the least I can do is fix her hair 😄

Barbie Looks Tamika reroot.

This was my first time doing curly doll hair. Should have rooted in more hair/a different pattern to make sure her scalp isn't visible, but after some arranging, it turned out okay. She's wearing a Creatable World top, Rainbow High lace overshirt, jeans I made, and Barbie shoes (that I painted a bit).

The hair is saran, and it was curled around pipe cleaners and set with boiling hot water.
