Choosing the Right Foods for a French bulldog with a Stomach Sensitivity There are few factors which needs to be considered while buying the Best Food For French Bulldogs With Sensitive Stomach. 1- Protein The optimum protein for dogs with a well-balanced amino acid profile and being easily digestible for dogs with sensitive stomachs. A dog's stomach is far more forgiving to fish and poultry than beef or any other red meat. Salmon is a good choice if you believe your dog can manage fish. Besides being easy to digest, salmon is also a good source of healthy fats, which can benefit the appearance and health of your hair and skin. 2- Carbohydrate Carbohydrates have a significant impact on the digestive health of your dog. Wheat and maize are common ingredients in many commercial dog meals, which can be difficult for certain dogs to digest. Choosing grain-free dog food or food that includes oats, rice, or potatoes is a better alternative. Your dog's general well-being will benefit from these carbohydrate sources, which are simpler to digest and include more fibre and minerals. Also Read : Best Bed for French Bulldog 3- Fat Low-fat dog food will help your dog if it has difficulty digesting fat. Fat absorption can be detected by the presence of light-coloured, foul-smelling faeces that is overflowing with undigested fat. It can signify that your dog is having trouble digesting fat, so you should consult your veterinarian right away if you observe this. Conclusion If you have a French bulldog with a delicate stomach, these above mentioned meal options are perfect for you. They all have elements that provide the necessary nutrition for your dogs continued good health, happiness, and strength. Even if your French bulldog is an adult, most of these dog meals will help him keep his weight in check. For example, some of the above foods are meat-based, and some are grain-based, so you'll need to know your dog's dietary requirements before deciding on food from this list. Last but not least, consider what your French bulldog enjoys. A new brand of food may be necessary if they don't like it. Your Frenchie, like us, will want to savour their food! Why Use petfood Storage Containers?
You certainly don’t need to use a storage container for your dog’s food if you’d prefer to not , but there are a spread of reasons that it is sensible to try to to so. We’ll discuss a couple of of the foremost important benefits you (and your dog) will enjoy if you choose to store your dog’s food during a storage container below.
Tumblr media
They Keep Food Fresh
When food isn’t stored properly, there's a risk of it spoiling or going stale and losing nutritional value; your pet may even be less curious about his or her food when it changes texture and flavor.
Using a storage container to stay your pet’s food fresh may be a good way to make sure you’ll never need to throw out stale kibble!
They exclude Bacteria and Pests
Nobody wants to believe bugs or rodents in their homes, but these critters can sometimes find their way into our pantries and wreak havoc if we aren’t prepared.
With a durable storage container, you won’t need to worry about pests chewing through food bags or getting into through small openings. Bacteria and mold also will be held cornered by an airtight container that keeps moisture and bacteria out.
Convenient Storage and Use
Depending on what you would like a food storage container for, different styles offer different perks! Some come on wheels for straightforward portability, while others are stackable or have different compartments for a multi-pet household.
Many containers have easy to open lids, saving you the effort of always having to roll up a food bag every day . Many storage containers even accompany a scoop for straightforward , measured meals!
They Keep Your Dog Healthy
By keeping your dog’s food in an airtight storage container, you’ll be protecting your pet from harmful bacteria and diseases transmitted by insects and rodents.

Plastic Containers
Plastic options are often cheaper than other materials, but you’ll want to form sure you search for products that are made with BPA free plastic. you'll also got to wash a replacement bin a couple of times so as to urge obviate the plastic smell.
Many plastic containers are translucent or transparent, in order that they make it easy to stay an eye fixed on what proportion food you've got left — this may help prevent the “OMG! I’m out of petfood ,” reaction which will occasionally occur with opaque containers.
It is good idea to seem for a thick, durable plastic that won’t be vulnerable to cracking or susceptible to being chewed!
Stainless Steel Containers
While chrome steel products are usually costlier than plastic alternatives, they're durable and long-lasting. chrome steel petfood containers also are pretty inert, in order that they won’t react together with your dog’s food. They’re also very easy to stay clean, which can help prevent your dog’s food from spoiling.
Many people also appreciate the sleek look of chrome steel , and need to avoid the smell of plastic!
Wood Containers
Wood may be a little bit of a throw-back material that some manufacturers use to form storage containers. many homeowners love the design of natural wood enclosures, and they’re usually very durable too. However, they are doing have a couple of drawbacks.
For example, wood (unless it's finished with an honest water-proof sealer) shouldn’t be wont to store unbagged food, because the pores within the wood can allow molds or bacteria to persist. Additionally, wooden containers are rarely insect-proof, so you'll find yourself with bugs in your pet’s food.
Also, wooden storage containers are rarely airtight, in order that they won’t help keep your dog’s food as fresh. Hope that you got a some tips from dog food storage ideas.

How To Feed Your Dog Part 5: How Much Does It Cost To Feed My Dog?
Many people don’t really have an idea how much their dog food costs are. A few math problems can get you the answer and help you find the best food your budget can handle. To do this, you take the number of grams fed from Part 4 and the number of grams in the container as a whole. The food I have been using as an example is Purina Pro Plan Sport All Life Stages Performance 30/20 Salmon & Rice and it comes in a 33 lb bag, to find out the grams I just put it into google and get 14968 grams so you need to divide the fed grams by the total grams to get the percent fed a day
133/14968=0.89%
So each day, you are feeding .89% of the total food in the bag. The next step is multiplying the percent fed by the price of the entire bag which is $52 so what you have to do is multiply the percentage fed by the total price to find the cost per day
.89%*52=.46
So it costs 46 cents a day to feed this food. You can do steps 4 and 5 with several different foods to find different prices based on the number of grams that will need to be fed to make the calorie intake. When picking food, make sure to pick high-quality foods! This site is a good one to make sure the company is accurately representing its food to the public.

Native to Mexico, Blind Cave Fish find their way around by means of lateral lines running along the lengths their bodies. The lines are highly sensitive to fluctuating water pressure. However, not all forms of Cave Fish are truly blind: some have degenerated sight and some are totally blind, while still others have lost their eyes completely.
About 30 populations of Blind Cave Fish are known, dispersed over three geographically distinct areas of Mexico. At least three have full cave forms—blind and without pigment. Another eleven known species have cave, “normal,” and intermediate forms. At least one species has both cave and “normal” forms but no intermediates. Different forms can interbreed, making this species ideal for studying convergent and parallel evolution, regressive evolution in cave animals, and the genetic basis of regressive traits. This, combined with the ease of maintaining the species in captivity, has made it the most studied cavefish and likely also the most studied cave organism in the world.
Say it with me now: aposematic. It’s just a big word meaning that when it comes to the natural world, bright colors often signal danger. This is the case with the Poison Dart Frog. Native to tropical Central and South America, these species are diurnal with brightly coloured bodies. These mostly small amphibians are often called “dart frogs,” due to indigenous peoples’ use of their toxic secretions to poison the tips of blowdarts (though this practice is much rarer than popularly believed). Poison Dart Frogs are dedicated parents, raising their young in secluded, watery nurseries. They mate much like fish: Females deposit the eggs and the males fertilize them. While they’re occasionally seen clutching one another, these are usually territorial wrestling matches between 2 males.
If you’re anything like us, there’s nothing particularly common about a vampire bat. Found all over the Americas, the Common Vampire Bat is rare among bat species because it has maintained the ability to run on land and has relatively good eyesight. They have a unique, bounding gait when they do run. The forelimbs are used instead of the hindlimbs to propel forward, as the wings are much more powerful than the legs. Feeding mostly at night, Common Vampire Bats eat primarily mammalian blood. Their most common food sources are cattle and horses, but they’re also known to go after wild prey like the tapir. However, they do seem to prefer domesticated animals, favoring horses over cattle, and female animals over males (particularly those in estrus).
Also known as the Mexican Walking Fish, the Axolotl is actually a salamander. Native to Mexico, Axolotls are unusual among amphibians because instead of developing lungs and taking to the land, adults remain aquatic and gilled. Axolotls were sold as food in Mexican markets and were a staple in the Aztec diet. The coolest thing about Axolotls is their regenerative abilities. They are capable of regenerating lost appendages in a period of months. Some have even been found restoring less crucial parts of their own brain. They can also accept transplants from other Axolotls, including eyes and parts of the brain. Axolotls are used extensively in scientific research because of their unique healing abilities.
Matamatas inhabit slow-moving blackwater streams, stagnant pools, marshes, and swamps in northern Bolivia, eastern Peru, Ecuador, eastern Colombia, Venezuela, the Guianas, and northern and central Brazil. Strictly aquatic, Matamata Turtles are large with an oversized triangular head. The unusual head also has distinctive flaps of skin and a horn on its long snout. A Matamata’s shell resembles a piece of bark, and its head mimics fallen leaves. As it lays motionless in the water, skin flaps enable the turtle to blend into the surrounding vegetation until a fish comes close. Then the Matamata thrusts open its large mouth as wide as possible, creating a low-pressure vacuum that sucks prey into its mouth. This is known as suction feeding. After snapping shut its mouth, water is slowly expelled, and the fish is swallowed whole. Matamatas cannot chew.
The Komodo Dragon, also known as the Komodo Monitor, is found in the islands of Indonesia. These predators truly look like relics from the age of dinosaurs. Komodos are the largest living species of lizard, growing to a maximum length of up to 10 feet. In rare cases, they can reach up to 150 lbs. A nightmare with scales! The unusually large size of the Komodo Dragon has been attributed to island gigantism, with little competition from any other carnivores. Komodo Dragons dominate their ecosystems. They’ve even been known to attack humans. They hunt by ambushing prey including invertebrates, birds, and mammals. They have glands in their lower jaw which secrete several toxic proteins, shown to contain anticoagulant properties. Komodo Dragons also hunt in groups, a rare behavior in the reptile world.
The Desert Ironclad Beetle, or Blue Death-Feigning Beetle, is native to the deserts of the southwestern United States. It has been known to feign death when threatened. They’re actually popular pets due to ease of care, hardiness, and longevity. The powdery blue coloring of these beetles comes from a wax secreted throughout their bodies that keeps them from losing moisture. They cannot climb on smooth surfaces (plastic or glass). As pets, these insects require little to no additional heat or humidity. They need dry sand, something to hide in, and not much else. They don’t drink water, sourcing hydration from foods such as apples. They can even eat dog and cat food.
Native to the islands of Indonesia, Babirusas were once used as gifts to royalty. Their preferred habitats are tropical rainforests along riverbanks. While related to pigs, Babirusas do not dig with their snout like other pigs do (except in mud and swampy grounds). The diet of the Babirusa includes leaves, roots, fruits, and animal material. The strong jaws of a Babirusa are capable of easily cracking hard nuts. Male Babirusas tend to live solitarily while adult females and their young are found in groups, which can number up to about 80 individuals. The tusks of adult males are used to fight: Upper tusks are for defense while the lower are offensive weapons. If the tusks aren’t ground down regularly, they can eventually grow so long that they penetrate the animal’s own skull.
The Legless Lizard, also commonly called Pallas’ Glass Lizard or the European Legless Lizard, is found from southern Europe to Central Asia. They can reach lengths of nearly 5 feet. They are tan colored, paler on the ventral surface and the head, with a segmented appearance that makes it look like a giant earthworm. They aren’t truly legless. Small rear legs are sometimes visible. Though the legs are barely discernible, the Legless Lizard can be quickly distinguished from a snake by its ears and eyelids.

Improvements I'm going to make to my body:
Lose excess fat. A little fat on my hips, butt, and thighs can stay, and I know my tiddies aren't going anywhere, but I want at least 30 pounds of it gone.
That said, I also want to build a significant amount of muscle, so I'll likely not weigh less than 140 lbs when I reach my goal.
If I could have a body like this one IG user I follow called tobesuperwoman, that would be amazing. She's so muscular and has such thick and strong looking thighs and a small waist, she looks like a dream.
A thigh gap is unlikely considering my goal is muscles, but firming up my inner thighs would still be great.
I want to be able to stand up for longer than 5 minutes without my back hurting like a bitch.
I want to be able to carry more stuff when returning from grocery trips. My husband prefers to carry particularly heavy things like jugs of cat litter, bags of dog food, and grocery bags full of canned goods, but I'd like to be able to carry more than the bags containing eggs and bread without pain.
I want to be able to do literally anything without dislocating ribs. I have severe scoliosis and this shit happens ALL THE TIME but my chiropractor says if I build a good amount of muscle in my upper back it won't happen as much if at all.
I want my breasts to not sag so much. They literally reach my stomach and I hate it. I'm going to be doing intensive chest workouts to try and improve this.
I want to get rid of my hip dips. They're annoying. If I wear low rise pants, no matter how loose they are, they look like they're squeezing my love handles.
I want a rounder, firmer butt and firmer thighs.
I also want my thighs and calves to be more proportional. As of now, my calves are skinny but my thighs are thicc.
I want my 6 pack and tiny waist back. I can live with my waist being 28 inches instead of the 26 it used to be, as long as I have my 6 pack and my hip dips are gone.
I want my arms to be toned up. They don't have to be skinny; some nice biceps might be cool. I just want them more proportional and less jiggly.
I want my jawline and cheekbones sharper and my collarbones visible.
I want to be able to wear my wedding ring again.
I want to get rid of my tan lines and make my skin even and milky pale again. I plan to use homemade exfoliating scrubs with lemon and tomato juice for this.
I want to figure out a way to remove my body hair without making my skin horribly dry and unbearably itchy no matter how much or what kind of lotion I use. More power to the folks that like their body hair, but I don't like mine. It disrupts the smooth texture of my skin and it's dark and coarse and I want it gone. I can't use Nair until all the scabs from scratching heal, and when I shave I have to take several steps to make my skin slightly less itchy when I'm done. I want to try waxing but I need to decide on what kind of wax to get.
I want to whiten my teeth. This should not be hard; I just have to remember to brush my teeth every day. But I forget so often. Might need to set an alarm for this too.
I want to keep my skin clear and soft. I've made an excellent face scrub that I'll post a recipe for. I just have to use it regularly.
I want to keep my lips soft and rosy. I have a homemade lip scrub, I just need to remember to use it. I also need to remember to use lip balm all the time.
I want my hair to be soft and floofy. It usually is when it's freshly washed and dried, but it frizzes easily.
I'm thinking about getting a layered haircut. I haven't had one in over a decade, but it might help make my hair look more floofy. The age of straight and sleek is out. The age of waves and floof is in.
I will NOT focus on how much I dislike the things about my appearance I don't like. Instead, I will focus on improving and working toward my goals until I have the look of my dreams.

Everyday Life in a RV
Another beautiful day in Florida!  I ABSOLUTELY understand now why snow birds make their way to Florida to spend the winter.  The weather here is second to none!  While we arrived in Florida a little early and caught the end of summer temperatures (in November) with slightly high temperatures and incredibly high humidity, the weather has since leveled out and is practically perfect every day.
When Mark and I planned this venture, we vacillated as to whether or not we would tow a vehicle.  We knew we “wanted” a vehicle and having one would be more convenient.  However, we ended up settling on getting fold-able electric bikes (e-bikes) and to be inconvenienced by having to run our errands in the RV between stops or on our e-bikes.  That has turned out humorous on more than one occasion.
As an example, we had issues with the drain in the RV shower and worked on that problem tirelessly.  Let me rephrase, Mark worked on that problem tirelessly.  My “work” involved paying for my very first “pay” shower at a park in Oklahoma where I had to choose between three showers.  One had a tarantula guarding the inside of the front door.  Nope.  The second had a wolf spider guarding the shower floor.  Nopity, nope, NOPE!   The third was just right.  More accurately stated, it didn’t involve any intimidating spiders or snakes so I took it.  I don’t remember how much it cost, but I would have paid serious money for a decent shower that didn’t involve creatures that could kill me.
Getting back to the shower repair -- Mark got parts at three different hardware stores that didn’t end up fitting/working.  So, we eventually fixed the RV in the Home Depot parking lot so we could return parts as necessary.  It was hot as bejesus that day, but Mark didn’t complain.  He took advantage of the return policy and got our shower back up and in running condition before we left the parking lot.  While I don’t mind doing my part, I’d be happy as to not have to pay for another shower anytime soon.  But let the record reflect, I’m a giver.
Between RV stop locations, we usually plan a grocery store venture and/or a Costco run.  While our fridge isn’t Costco worthy by any stretch of the imagination, we do buy Costco dog food for Riley and Duke (and red wine need not be refrigerated).  This particular stop we are at for a full month and while I’m not out of red wine (yet), we did need a few necessities.
On Sunday after church service, Mark and I ventured over to the local Winn-Dixie (grocery store) on our e-bikes, which is approximately three miles from our RV for some necessities.  We both take our backpacks to carry groceries, but on this particular venture we needed a few more things than would fit in both of our backpacks.  For example, we NEEDED the half ham that was on sale for only $10 (love those post-Thanksgiving sales)!!  Also, diet Coke was on sale, buy two 12-packs get one for free!  Our backpacks were full of salad, coffee creamer and other necessities, so I convinced Mark it wouldn’t be a problem to bungee cord anything else down to the back rack on our bikes.  He was a willing participant as long as he could get his diet Coke.  This is a picture of Mark with the half of a ham and one pack of diet Coke.  While this picture doesn’t represent the “Clampett look” I was sporting with the other two diet coke 12-packs AND groceries, it does give you an idea of how humorous such a simple thing as grocery shopping can be.
Tumblr media
Much of the rest of any given day is like everyone else’s, EXCEPT looking for stuff.  We have such a small amount of space and we kept very few things.  However, nothing is more frustrating than knowing you have something and in 31 feet of space, you can’t find it.  Many times I’ll be looking for something, like the dog’s nail clippers.  I know I have one ... but where in the 42 bazillion little containers, cabinets or under storage compartments it is, I have no clue.  I’ve lost these dumb dog nail clipper thingies TWICE now.  I don’t know what is up with that, but I’ve noticed that on a rig this size, that tends to happen.  You know it exists.  You know it’s in your possession...somewhere.  You’ve seen it in the last few months, weeks and sometimes days ... but when it’s necessary to find it, it’s no where to be found.  Grrrr.  I’m blaming this problem on the size of the RV and praying it’s not my old age kicking into high gear.
Learning how to live in 31 feet of space has been interesting, fun and challenging.  I love our little space in life.  It’s portable and I can take it to any place I’d like.  I can enjoy the outdoors in any state, any weather, any place I desire.  That’s pretty cool.  It’s also easy to clean and doesn’t take too long to clean.  It’s such a little space, cleaning is done in a breeze.  With two dogs though, cleaning needs to be done more often than one would hope (definitely an argument for getting rid of the dogs, but we all know that is never going to happen).
I also get to spend a lot of time with my husband.  I like him.  I love him.  I enjoy his company.  I find him hysterical even in the every day humdrum of life.  So I enjoy having him around.  We also have our subtle ways of getting our own alone time.  It may involve a walk, a jog, a bike ride alone or sometimes its as simple as putting in ear buds as a signal that “I don’t want to interact”.  We are both independent, so just taking on a project is usually a signal to the other that we are “good” on our own.  None the less, it’s been a great experience for us both and we still enjoy each others company.
The other thing I get asked about quite frequently is the bathroom situation.  Yes, there is only one bathroom.  Its not a Jack and Jill bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub and a separate closet with a toilet.  It is a dry toilet with a small sink and stand-up shower, all in one small space - meaning one person can stand between the sink, toilet and shower.  There is a spray wand next to the toilet to fill the bowl with water and a foot pedal that is used for flushing.  The sink is small, like a doll house small, but large enough for the task of washing hands and face, and brushing teeth.  The shower is plenty big.  I’m 5 foot almost 2 inches and I can stand up in it.  Just kidding - my 6 foot husband can stand up in it, so it’s definitely functional (now that the drain has been fixed).  There is a vent in the ceiling with a push button exhaust fan and the toilet is like a regular toilet, except for needing to fill it with water yourself.  That’s the bathroom situation.  Nothing glamorous and generally no secrets.
My husband and I don’t keep the same hours.  Meaning, it’s not all that uncommon for him to get up between 3:30-5:00 a.m..  At the same time, I’ll look at the clock, do a quick calculation in my head and then a happy dance over the 4 hours I still get to sleep.  When my husband gets up, he’s really respectful of the fact that most normal people are still asleep, including his wife and two dogs.  So he quietly relocates to the living room/dining room area and does his thing until the sun comes up.  We have levelers on the RV, so his movement is negligible.
As soon as I stir, or when Mark gets stir crazy, he’ll take the dogs for a walk.  There is nothing subtle about that process as much as Mark tries to keep it contained.  Our 70 lb. black Labrador retriever, Duke, moves about the cabin like a bull in a china shop.  Between his wagging tail slapping against the cabinets and his incessant yawning, even the neighbors are ready for him to WALK ALREADY!  Riley, our 23 lb. Japanese Spitz isn’t all that cooperative either.  She gets a psychotic episode and is afraid to walk across the vinyl floor.  Yes, she’ll step out on it, and step back on her little piece of carpet, then back out on the floor and back on the carpet.  From underneath the comforter all I hear is Mark loudly whispering “Riley, come!” and the tap-tap-tap of Riley’s toenails on the vinyl floor several times until she drums up enough courage to make a break for it and hurriedly jogs across the four feet of vinyl flooring between her little piece of carpet and the door.  As my friend Wendy says, she was perfect until I got her.
Tumblr media
Everyday life in an RV is pretty much like everyone else’s everyday life,  with a few slight nuances.  Mark and I could have made different choices so as to not have to bungee cord our groceries to the back of bikes, live in a home that we sleep in and drive, live in such a small space, and/or waited until the dogs were gone to start this venture.  But for us we talked about the choices we were making in advance and collectively agreed while some things would be inconvenient, we would give it a whirl and see what we thought.  If we found we hated it down the road, we’d make a change.  So far, we don’t hate anything about it.  Quite this opposite.  We are super glad we took this journey and in the way we did.
As I mentioned previously, we are transitioning to a “newer” journey.  We found the boat that we would like to live on and have an accepted offer on that boat.  Because there are still many steps in the process (it’s sooooooo different from buying a house) and too many things could go wrong that it would be premature for me to talk about the specifics of the boat.  However, in my next blog I’ll talk about the boat purchasing process and hopefully we’ll be far enough along in the process that I can reveal a thing or two about what I hope to be our new home.  Stay tuned....
Until we meet again,
Sherri (and by contractual obligation, Mark)

Item #: SCP-038
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-038 is to be watered twice per day via overhead mister. Should the mister break for any reason, attendants should water SCP-038 by hand until it has been fixed. Lighting is provided by computer-controlled lighting array. Attendants watering SCP-038 by hand and maintenance personnel fixing mister or lighting should wear hazmat suits to prevent accidental cloning.
Description: SCP-038 was found on an abandoned farm in █████████████, New York, in 19██. It was at first thought to be a common apple tree. However, upon closer inspection, it became apparent that SCP-038 was growing things other than apples and, in fact, other than fruit.
SCP-038 has the ability to clone any object that touches its bark. Objects begin growing almost instantaneously and reach maturity within a matter of minutes. A weight limit of 90.9 kg (200 lb) per object has been recorded. Objects that SCP-038 has thus far cloned include: apples, oranges, watermelons, eggplants, candy bars, snack foods (See Addendum #1), televisions, toasters, laptops, keys (See Addendum #2), chairs, wine, DVDs, CDs (See Addendum #3), cats, dogs, and people.
Human and animal cloning through SCP-038 is not recommended, as they appear to age quickly. The majority of these clones live, on average, two (2) weeks. After thorough examination of the deceased clones, it has been determined that they had begun to ferment before death.
Object is currently held on Site-23 and there are currently no plans to move it.
Addendum #1: Dr. Klein has requested that personnel discontinue the cloning of items from the vending machines. (See Document #338-1)
Addendum #2: Dr. Klein has requested that personnel discontinue the cloning of personal items. (See Document #338-1)
Addendum #3: Dr. Klein has requested that personnel discontinue the cloning of movies and music. (See Document #338-1)
Addendum #4: Dr. Klein has requested that personnel discontinue the cloning of cans of Miller, Budweiser, and Foster's. Dr. Klein has furthermore expressed customary disapproval of the quality of such cloned items. (See Document #338-1b)
---
Document #338-1: "I would like to remind all personnel that SCP-038 is not, I repeat, not a toy. It should not be used for cloning car keys, movies, music, or items from the vending machines. If this behavior continues I will be forced to limit access to SCP-038. — Dr. Klein"
---
Document #338-2: It has been noted that SCP-038 is able to clone SCP-500 — however, such pills only work 30% of the time, with chance of successful healing dropping as time since cloned increases. In 60% of the cases where the infection is permanent, symptoms of infection remain, though further infection is neutralized.
---
SCP-038 Partial Testing Log - select experiments only For full test records and reports, contact affiliated researchers for authorization
Date: 11/08/████ Intent: Confirmation of mass limit: investigation into consequences of exceeding limit. Summary of test results: 400 pound steel ingot made contact with the outer bark of SCP-038. Chamber vacated as a precaution. Cloned ingot grew at typical speed, but growth halted abruptly short of completion. Examination of the end of the aborted facsimile revealed a rough texture superficially resembling miniature-scale tree bark. Item detached from SCP-038 as typical, and was subsequently found to weigh 90.91 kilograms, or almost precisely 200 pounds.
---
Date: 11/08/████ Intent: Investigation into duplication of non-biological animate matter. Summary of test results: SCP-173, deemed a suitable test subject because of its lack of verifiable life processes, introduced into containment chamber by Class-D personnel. Contact made with the outer bark of SCP-038, and SCP-173 returned immediately to containment. SCP-173 facsimile began development at typical speed, beginning at point of contact. As consistent with previous results, growth halted at the 200-pound threshold, in this case terminating development after replication of the head, right arm, and partial upper torso. Class-D test subject was ordered to break eye contact with clone. When test subject eventually blinked, no movement was observed in cloned material. Extinguishing and reestablishment of containment chamber light supply revealed no apparent reaction from cloned material. Experiment concluded. During storage of cloned portion of SCP-173, it was observed that the partial facsimile was in fact making violent gestures, at a dramatically slower rate. Movement was shown to continue regardless of state of observation.

Sorry I haven’t made anything WIP related in the last few days.
Mental health problems is kicking my ass, and work is eating me alive. I’m honestly at the point where I’m looking for another job just for the two months I have left for summer break. The pay and the financial aid that comes with it is no longer worth destroying my mental health.
30 year old adults act like children when it gets busy, there was no training involved, and a new girl started sobbing in the drive through tonight because she doesn’t know how to do DT and was going slow and one of the managers yelled at her.
The usual managers I’m stuck with only treat certain people nicely, and others, not so much. Like, this isn’t a big deal and the worst that would have happened was me puking because I cannot handle meat, whatsoever, and the manager put chicken in my salad and served it to me (thank god a co worker informed me because when I’m starving, I’m not the best at noticing things). If she had done something with strawberries or another food I’m allergic to, I think I’d have been spiteful enough to eat it and let myself go into shock. A nice, shocking, sobering reality of messing with people’s food.
Puking isn’t bad, in my opinion (I’ve pretty much adjusted to it--and I’m not bulimic! My body just sucks), and I’d have been able to tolerate it enough. But spitefully letting myself potentially die in a very terrifying manner? No, not really.
She rolls her eyes when I try to talk to her, does not understand that a barely 90 lb, 5′0 person cannot lift a metal container full of liquid very high.
This barely the tip of the ice berg. And I relapsed a few days ago.
She wanted me to stay for longer than my shift yesterday (no breaks, nothing) and I was like, “I’m pet sitting. I have a diabetic dog that needs his insulin and to be fed so he doesn’t get sick.” and she was like, “It’s just a dog.”
So I informed her she is very much welcome to pay any ensuing vet bills, which usually can get to the near thousands for one sick dog.
I’m one that tries to advocate kindness and politeness. But I do reach a snapping point--and I’m there.
And I have to prioritize myself, and my mental health over good pay and a much needed resource.
Besides, I’m getting to the point where I’m super proud of what I write and make that I could possibly do commissions?! in the future?? And other chances for financial aid help for school will crop up! The customers are fairly decent, and even cool a lot of the times, but I ended up with a bad crew. My hiring manager is amazing! But everyone else aside from like three or four people are so-so to downright, “You make me miserable”.
So, I’m just applying to where I can. I wish I could get my old job back, but while they’re super understaffed, they aren’t hiring right now because corporate is still corporate and aren’t letting them for reasons I forget (a reprieve? idk).
Like I told my dad tonight, sure, I’m making more than what I had in a long time (and could likely afford an apartment if I keep 40/hours a week) but I have to put my sanity and mental health first. I’ve come this far not to just let it dwindle back down to where I was a few years ago.
Self preservation is never a bad thing.
And from that tl;dr:
I’m kind of creatively stuck. There’s stuff I want to do, but have had early morning shifts or I’m finding myself unsure of posting, especially with stuff towards Ichor because it’s not exactly on the same level of So Said the King in terms of fantasy. And the content might be off putting, since when I first started it, I was in a dark place and I’ve kept a lot.
And I don’t know how introduce the world that’s basically our world but it has covens (witches), magic, angels, and a few other things. Like. I have our laws of stuff to follow.
And idk if people want to read a story about the deconstruction of chosen ones, or a story where a trans girl is one of the main characters who kicks ass but is still super femme and dating a bisexual girl and they’re literally the only endgame pair. But it’s still not the main focus and they’re already established--and they do have moments of affection but in the overall story, not so much.
I need to talk about it more, but I don’t know what to talk about. People liked Bailee’s aesthetic, at least!
I DUNNO. I’m sleep deprived. Gotta think positively, I know this. I’m doing my best, and I did make some stuff the other day, so I win in that department!! I’m just having a bad brain. Day. Two days. I dunno. The passage of time doesn’t exist.
And there’s always tomorrow. Tomorrow can always be better.

How to Cook the Best Rice You`ve Ever Had
Tumblr media
Rice is the grain that fuels the world.
It's low-cost, easy to expand, and also nutritious, which is why it's a staple food for nearly fifty percent of the world, consisting of greater than one-fifth of the overall calories that us people consume.
What it's not, though, is interesting. I don't think my pet dogs would even liven up for a pot of rice for dinner.
What they-and most people-don' t understand, though, is simply exactly how delicious rice could be when it's prepared to perfection.
They likewise don't understand that obtaining it ideal takes some ability as well as technique, too.
Add too much water, boil for as well long, or utilize too much warmth, and you'll wind up with something ranging from blah to burnt.
Use the proper rice to water ratio, simmer it appropriately, as well as utilize your heat well, however, and also it's entirely various dish.
And that's exactly what this post is going show you: the basic science of making superb rice.
By completion of it, you'll understand just how to turn this humble little grain right into something special and also whip up exceptional rice with ease.
So, if you're all set to prepare the very best rice you have actually ever had, keep reading.
How to Choose the Right Rice
Tumblr media
The first step to food preparation impressive rice is choosing the type of rice you wish to cook.
For the purpose of this article, we're mosting likely to concentrate on the rice most typically consumed: long-grain white rice. The techniques you're mosting likely to discover use equally to all kinds of rice, though, so feel complimentary to attempt your hand at the various selections to discover just what you like most.
The initial point you should recognize is rice comes in three grain sizes-long, tool, and short-and your option must depend upon the texture you such as and the meal you're making.
For example, long-grain rice is best for a pilaf or stir-fry meal whereas medium-grain makes better sushi as well as meals where you want a little bit a lot more eat. And also if you want something velvety like risotto or dessert, after that you'll need short-grain to obtain that rich texture.
Now, there are several selections are long-grain rice, including white, brown, jasmine (Thai), and basmati (Indian/Pakistani).
These rices are the fluffiest and also most flexible due to the fact that they don't clump as well as stick like their medium- as well as short-grain counterparts.
Medium-grain rices consist of Japanese-style rice (made use of making sushi) as well as Bomba (utilized making Spanish paella).
These rices are slightly sticky and also have a stronger, chewier texture once cooked.
The short-grain family of rice has one of the most starch, making it the stickiest and plumpest when cooked.
For example, Arborio is the popular short-grain rice made use of to earn risotto and rice pudding.
Should You Consume Wild rice or White Rice?
This inquiry warrants a post of its very own, truly, however I'll offer the Cliffs Notes here.
The long story brief is brown rice is reduced on the glycemic index and even more nourishing compared to white rice, yet that does not always mean you shouldn't consume white rice.
If you have a healthy and balanced body fat percentage, generally consume a healthy and balanced (healthy) diet, as well as exercise consistently, there's no reason to avoid white rice. Consume the kind of rice that you like most.
How to Store Uncooked Rice
Store your rice in the sealed bag or container it came in, as well as maintain it in an awesome, completely dry place.
Once you open the bag or container, reseal the extra section or move it to a container with a closed lid. Make sure to label your container with the expiry day if you're using wild rice (it does not last as long as white rice).
You could also keep rice in the refrigerator or fridge freezer to further shield it from dust and also pests.
How to Cook the Best Rice
Tumblr media
The very first action to cooking excellent rice is thoroughly rinsing it to get rid of excess starch (and also make the rice less sticky).
This exemption right here is when you're making a velvety recipe like risotto. In that instance, don't wash the rice initially due to the fact that the starch is exactly what provides the meal its texture.
Most individuals simply utilize a filter for washing, yet if you want to truly ensure your rice prepares to prepare, do this:
Add the rice to the pan you're going to prepare it in with adequate water to cover it. Swish the rice around delicately with your fingers up until the water is gloomy, drain pipes the pan and also replenish, and repeat this procedure until the water remains clear after swishing (3 to 5 rinses, generally).
Make sure to fully drain pipes the water out after your last rinse, too-excess fluid will certainly toss off your rice-to-water proportion and food preparation time.
And that brings me to the cornerstone of cooking good rice: the appropriate rice-to-water ratio.
Getting this ideal makes all the difference and also needs just three points: rice, water, as well as a medium pan with a tight-fitting lid.
For every (dry) mug of rice that you intend to prepare, you require to consist of 1 3/4 mugs of water (you could throw in a rub of butter and also pinch of salt too, if you like).
Leave the pan uncovered and also bring the rice to a boil over high warmth, and also as soon as the water is rolling, transform the warmth to low and also cover the pot.
You want to bring it down to a simmer so the rice could absorb the water and begin steaming, which is going to cook the rice ( not boiling water). Hence, if you hear the rice still boiling away in the frying pan as soon as you have actually reduced the warmth, you have to reject the volume even more.
Next, established a timer for 12 minutes and also do not lift the cover or stir the rice. You require to maintain the vapor in the pan.
Once the timer is up, lift the lid quickly to see where points are at.
If you still see water simmering, allow it to cook for a couple much more mins, but maintain a close eye on it. As soon as the liquid is absorbed (no water visibly glittering) and also the rice looks plumped, get rid of the pan from the heat.
Don' t take the rice out of the frying pan simply yet, though. To ensure your rice has that flawlessly even, fluffy structure, you have to mix it as well as then let it rest in the pan with the lid on for at the very least 5 minutes (you could try out different remainder times, as well, as much as 30 mins even!).
Finally remove the lid as well as fluff the rice with a fork. Currently it's ready to serve!
How to Store Cooked Rice
If you have leftover rice or are meal prepping, allow the rice to cool down before storing it. Then location it in an airtight container and refrigerate.
Cooked rice will keep in this manner for 4 to 6 days.
You can likewise freeze it for as much as 6 months.
How to Reheat Rice
Tumblr media
This is just one of the beauties of rice. It's extremely simple to reheat as well as, when done correctly, preferences great every time.
The most fail-safe means to reheat your rice is in the microwave.
Place the rice in a microwave-safe meal and also include a sprinkle of water per offering fist-sized serving.
Then, cover the meal and also cook above for 30 secs, enable the rice to sit for about 15 seconds, and also fluff it with a fork. Repeat home heating and fluffing in 15-second intervals if you 'd such as the rice to be hotter.
If you 'd rather reheat on the stovetop, include the rice to a pan with a splash of water each serving, cover, and heat for 5 mins over reduced heat.
Another yummy method to reheat leftover rice is to pan-fry it. Below's an easy way to do this:
Heat some veggie or peanut oil in a wok or saute frying pan and afterwards add the rice.
Break up any kind of clumps as well as stir it making certain it's equally coated with oil. Continue stirring up until the rice is heated up through and also golden.
Throw in an egg as well as some leftover veggies, maintain stirring, and voila, you've obtained tasty, revamped leftovers!
3 Delicious Rice Recipes to obtain You Started
Once you can make a killer pot of rice, you prepare to go past the basic.
Give these very easy and also tasty recipes a try and I assume you'll be happily stunned how tasty 'healthy and balanced' food such as this can be!

7 Surprising Ways To Help Your Pet Lose Weight (And Why It's Important)
Tumblr media
According to the latest veterinary surveys, over half our nation’s dogs and cats are overweight. This means almost 80 million pets are at risk for developing crippling arthritis, debilitating diabetes, catastrophic kidney and heart disease, high blood pressure and many forms of cancer.
How can you slim down your super-sized pet, keep them fit and reduce their risk of developing many serious diseases? The answer may be easier than you think. Try these seven tips to trim excess pounds from your pet and keep them trim. 1. Calculate Calories
If you don’t know how many calories your pet needs each day, you don’t know how much to feed. And don’t think you can trust the bag; feeding guides are formulated for adult, un-spayed or un-neutered active dogs and cats. That means if you have an older, spayed or neutered indoor lap potato you’re probably feeding 20% to 30% too much if you follow the food’s instructions.
Instead, ask your veterinarian to calculate the proper number of calories your pet needs each day. Another good starting point is to use this formula: Divide your pet’s weight by 2.2. Multiply this figure times 30. Add 70 and you’ve got a general idea of how many calories you should be feeding a typical inactive, indoor spayed or neutered dog or cat weighing between 6 and 60 pounds. ** [(pet’s weight in lbs/2.2) x 30] +70 ** Of course, each pet’s metabolism is different so be sure to consult your veterinarian before starting a diet. 2. Measure Meals
A pet parent’s single greatest tool in the fight against excess weight is a measuring cup. Too many pet owners simply fill the bowl or “guesstimate” how much they’re feeding. Even worse, some pets, especially cats, are fed an “all-day buffet” that results from the “just keep the bowl full” feeding method. The Association for Pet Obesity Prevention has done studies to show that feeding as few as 10 extra tiny kibbles of food per day can add up to a pound of weight gain per year in indoor cats and small dogs. After you calculate how many calories your pet needs, determine how much food you should feed each meal – and measure it. 3. Tactical Treating
First off, I’m not anti-treats. I am anti-junk treats. If you’re going to give your pets extra goodies, make ‘em count. Too many pet treats are what I call “calorie grenades” laden with sugar and fat blowing up our pet’s waistlines and destroying their health. Choose low-calorie, no-sugar goodies that provide a health benefit.
I like single ingredient treats such as sweet potato, salmon, and blueberry bites or functional treats that provide a bonus such as helping to keep teeth clean or promote mobility. Whatever treats you give, be sure to count those additional calories.  Many pet owners feed the proper amount of food but sabotage their efforts by adding one or two snacks throughout the day. As few as 30 extra calories per day means your pet gains over three pounds in a year.
Better yet, dogs don’t do division. Break treats into peewee pieces and divvy them out whenever your pet earns it. Be cautious of “guilt-treating” – the practice of giving your pet a treat because you feel guilty leaving them home alone. Instead, use treats only as a reward for good behavior. Pets (and people) need to learn to earn extra goodies. 4. Vital Veggies
As an alternative to highly-processed store-bought treats, try offering baby carrots, green beans, celery, broccoli, cucumbers, sliced apples and bananas or ice cubes. These naturally nutritious tasty tidbits are a healthy option for many dogs. Be sure not to feed dogs a full apple or banana, as they have high sugar content. For cats, try a flake of salmon or tuna when you’re feeling generous. While you’re at it, put down the potato chips and share a carrot with your pooch. You’ll both be healthier for it. 5. Hustle for Health
When it comes to living a long, pain-and disease-free life, research proves our most powerful partner is daily exercise. Speaking of partners, anyone with a dog has a built-in, no-excuse exercise buddy. For dogs, as little as 20 to 30-minutes of brisk walking is all it takes to boost immune function, improve cardiovascular health and reduce many behavioral problems. For cats, try playing with a laser pointer, remote-controlled toy or ball of paper for 5 to 15 minutes each day. Do yourself and your dog a favor and commit to daily walks, rain or shine. The health benefits of walking extend to both ends of the leash. 6. Smart Supplements
A couple of supplements may help keep your pet (and you) fit and trim.  Almost every dog, cat and person can benefit from taking a daily omega-3 fatty acid supplement. These powerful fish oils pack a potent anti-oxidant punch that has been proven to help prevent and treat numerous diseases. In addition, they may help ease achy joints and perhaps encourage weight loss. L-carnitine has been shown to aid weight loss and promote lean muscle mass in some studies. I’ve been prescribing (and taking) l-carnitine for over 13 years and been impressed with the results. Ask your veterinarian if either (or both) of these supplements make sense for your pet’s condition and which ones are good quality.
7. Cut Down the Carbs
Most dogs and cats don’t need a high-carbohydrate diet. Yet that’s exactly what most of us feed our pets. Many diets contain 60% or more carbohydrates when you analyze the food label. I suggest diets that have balanced protein and carbohydrates. As a general rule, I recommend trying a higher protein / low carb diet first for weight loss in my patients. Be sure to check with your veterinarian before making any diet changes. Pets with certain conditions, such as kidney failure, may do better on a different type of diet. It’s the responsibility of each of us to help our pets maintain a healthy weight. Just as you’d never walk your dog without a collar and leash or allow them to eat only pizza and ice cream (which many dogs would LOVE!), it’s up to pet owners to feed healthy, nutritious foods and treats and exercise daily. By using these seven simple suggestions, you’ll be on your way to your pet’s best – and healthiest – year yet!
