i was thinking about this all day im gonna hella ramble too much

to reiterate and expand on what i kinda said in that post's tags: im genuinely cautious when it comes to the canonicity of deleted scenes and script changes for most things because, well, things dont get included in the final product for a reason sometimes.

trust me i know about deleted scenes. ive had months of work erased from existence because of deleted scenes. and sometimes it really was for the best

and im equally if not more skeptical of things like.. lore coming from outside sources. if its not in the original media, its questionable. film novelizations, game adaptions, spin-off comics, all that stuff is usually written by some third party with little to no input from the real writers. unless it gets some serious seal of approval and that shit actually gets referenced in the next film, then im like "ok im listening." Otherwise, i shrug it all off as maybe-canon side adventures until contradicted

THAT SAID

sometimessss those nuggets of lore or characterization from deleted scenes/iffy canon off-shoot material are sick af so we just kind of adopt it anyway!!! we all do it!!!

FUCKIN. The goddamn Saw franchise makes me insane with the different cuts of each film so we basically choose our favorite canon already. so. its a bit loosey goosey here sometimes

ok first of all i KNOW im gonna forget things so imma just kind of list and describe what i can remember off the top of my head. i dont actually have things like the scripts memorized i only know some moments that get passed around between us little freaks like drugs

and this little bit of characterization from all 3 goofballs here despite us not really seeing much of it in the film:

Strahm being a butthead just interrupting Perez and Hoffman having a nice little talk because he hates his ass so much

Hoffman being more of the annoying little flirt that i know he is in my heart

Perez being charmed by him, the two of them having a cute little bonding moment as acquaintances for a moment there, and then STRAHM AGAIN being a butthead

i love them. i LOVE THEM

its very important to me that Perez kind of liked Hoffman. it makes his betrayal hurt so much more

this whole moment. i love this. ough. as much as i loved this scene already, in my head i pretend the scene played out like this....

also, i cant list off everything because theres so much its a little depressing, but there's a lot going on in the Saw 3D script that is tragically cool. they really leaned into Hoffman going off the deep end and i enjoyed that. and how grisly his scar was originally supposed to be, and the symbolism with his declining mental state. and his interactions with Lawrence being a little more fleshed out. its just kind of neat. i think the film would have been a bit stronger if they stuck closer to a few of their earlier ideas

edit: OH MY GOD HOW CAN I FORGET ABOUT DELETED FILMED SCENES LIKE THE ROCKSTAR MOMENT. THAT HAPPENED OK U CANNOT TELL ME OTHERWISE. and amanda is 100% haunted by what she did to Adam

and as for spin-offs that are absolutely not canon, this description of Hoffman from the video game from Tapp's POV is intriguing.

i love annoying and weird colleague Hoffman but i also really enjoy the idea of shy and weird colleague Hoffman.

also, boring cop Hoffman who wont bend the rules? that is so much more interesting than the hashtag brutality moment.

too bad this game is like. well. yknow. not very good. i dont think thats a controversial statement

I've been thinking more about technical side of the comics and I wanna talk more about the phantom blot's framing after finally getting to read "Mickey Mouse Outwits the Phantom Blot"

What I really find fun and what I honestly didnt notice at first bc I was so in the story is that the comics use framing thats most often used in horror projects, something what I personaly call "trapped perspective" as we all know the Best horrors are the ones where we dont see the monster most of the time but what alot less people know and even use (and is slowly getting lost in mainstream media right now i fear) is getting us the viewers only seeing one perspective from one of characters eyes, I mean little to no jumps to other characters and perspectives or even shots away from the main character

Of course Outwiting of the Phantom Blot doesnt really stick to that too much, we cut back to cheif o'chara (and minerva for like 3 pages ToT) after mickey "goes missing" but that cut still follows and even adds to what the technique is meant to do that being making us "feel more mortal"

When we watch, read or sometimes even write stories were obviously an above being, we almost expect to know whats going on all the time and very little happens off screen away from our eyes and when it does its soon implemented or explained what happened still giving us information we need even with the "plot twists" were soon back to knowing everything

The trapped perspective strips us of that "power" we don't know whats going on and mostly know only what the main character knows sometimes even less and that almost makes us feel like a character watching from a hiding spot playing the same rules other characters are, were not able to just cut to see what the main threat does and let a breath of relief out all safe and cozy in out bed while reading, were not having this fear of the unknown lifted off our shoulders it only deepens overtime especialy when the only explanation we get to what the villian is doing is as there doing it and succeeding often explanation coming from their own mouth

In Outwiting of the Phantom Blot while we do cut perspectives a bit we never see the phantom blot oh his own with mickey away exept for one panel

(gorgeous simple use of texture btw just look at the clash between still black texture of the blot and the window and the fine texture on courtains and gentle one on shadows Oh truly beautiful)

While were not fully trapped with mickey We don't feel as free as in other stories i feel and thats an extremly good thing especialy for this story even at the end its only explained what the police needs to know and we don't get flashbacks or overexplanation to what he was doing during the story only what he did beforehand and what lead to the whole fiasco

I honestly also enjoy how the blot seems much more like a gentleman in this than in alot other comics, a very ruthless sick bastard gentleman, and I enjoy seeing him loose his manners and gentle speech overtime as he becomes more and more angry with mickey Honestly great writing top noch pacing and the structure made me kinda feel like im watching a movie at some point

Wow if only mickey was a well known character that some studio would want borderline needed to make a movie about and had used this almost whole ass whopping 85 year old comic as a base or inspiration or something ahahaha

okay here is a thought that has been bouncing around in my head like a tv logo on a black screen

again, feel free to modify if its not accurate/doesnt make sense BUT

so even though morri has their limits when it comes to cold weather, i'd imagine theyre still a bit more resistant to it than your typical human, especially one that was in cryosleep for 5 years

so i propose that he and morri are on a mission in the dead of winter and theyre just pushing forward because, yknow, it has to get done, and morri is so focused on the task at hand that they don't realize that their partner is halfway hypothermic until jj makes it known somehow (i'll leave that up to you)

The best part about being fully robotic is the intimate understanding Morrigan gets with everyday machines. The toaster isn't going to work when it's dirty, and Morri finds that reasonable. The microwave doesn't like tinfoil, and that boundary should be respected.

And cars, especially old ones, do not like being cold.

A sentiment Morrigan deeply shares.

"I know," they murmur soothingly to the engine of their pickup. They inch closer to the hood. "You just need to start. It'll be warmer then."

It's a while before they find the problem. Morrigan is no mechanic. All they have is an understanding of how things work; a knowledge of progression from problem to solution. They futz with the engine, snuggling as close to the car as they can to get away from the snow caring their boots and hoot and hair.

Finally, something shifts. "Try it now," they yell over the wind.

JJ turns the key from inside the ratty pickup.

Several, heartbreaking seconds later, he lets go. "No dice," he shouts.

Morrigan sighs. Their breath would be visible in the air, if they could see anything to begin with. Back to trial and error.

They lean over the engine and study it thoroughly. Coolant, oil, power steering, all where they need to be. Everything between is complete and utter jargon. But if they don't fix this, JJ's going to freeze to death.

Cold is the problem. Getting the car started is the solution. There is no other way to keep JJ alive.

Humans are fragile. Morrigan despises it.

"Take a break, Mor, you're bluer than your eyes!"

"Can't," they yell back. "The pickup won't stop us from freezing if it's dead."

"Five minutes!"

They ignore him, focusing instead on a section of pipes, or tubes, maybe cords, from beneath a bigger piece of plastic. Something seems out of place here.

Morrigan closes their eyes for just a second. Just enough to reach for a manual, or any piece of information they might have downloaded in the past.

"--Morri, Mor, hey, there you are, you need to come inside the car right now."

"Jace...?"

It's suddenly much, much harder to see. They can't differentiate between the snow and the light warnings across their vision. Their ears are ringing.

"Yeah, it's me. C'mon."

The balance system shrieks as they're suddenly on their side, lifted from the ground. JJ deposits them unceremoniously inside the cab of the pickup, and climbs in after, slamming the door.

Without the howling of the wind, the ringing in their ears gets far louder.

"Morrigan, you can't do this, you can't work until there's nothing left. You're gonna get yourself killed."

"Can't die," they say matter-of-factly. Not like you. "Just get replaced."

JJ's hands still from where they were trying to rub warmth back into their fingers. He sighs, and squeezes. "I don't care, 'kay? Now focus on warming up. You feel like ice."

They internally click off the cooling system, forcing the inner components to carry their heat a little further through the body. Normally this would be dangerous, but desperate times call for desperate measures.

And if Jace Vela Journey is being serious, it's desperate times indeed.

Something heavy is placed on their shoulders and they flinch, slightly, at the new weight. "Here. You need it more than I do."

JJ looks far colder without his thick wool letterman on, the tank top beneath bare in the black interior.

"Hey, no," Morrigan tries to protest, but their jaw is suddenly clattering too much to get the words out. He's human, he'll die without it, he can't--

"Give me your hands," JJ says.

They can't move. Their joints have locked, clicking like ice. He takes their hands anyway, blowing hot breath on them, massaging it in.

Morrigan tries to tell him he's going to freeze to death. His blood will turn to ice. His skin will go white and dead, his body will shiver uncontrollably and then go horribly still, his eyes will close for the last time.

It's a logical progression from problem to solution.

Morrigan tries again to speak, but all that comes out is a jumble of noise.

"Hey," JJ says soothingly. "The storm will pass. It'll be okay. Just a long night."

They try to shake their head, and it jerks uncontrollably instead, a popping in their joint. Their body is too cold to function.

"Relax." JJ pulls them against him, and rubs a hand across their shoulder. "It'll be alright. I'll warm you up."

That's not what matters, Morrigan would scream. But nothing comes out.

Nothing but a strangled whimper.

It's going to be long, long night indeed.

and then the storm passes and they're warm and happy ANYWAY morri is so fun to write. i love their mental pathways. and jj apparently is just incredibly huggable. i think i want to hug him

the main reason i dislike this episode and need for speed is because zack doesnt ever get to learn. he was impulsive and it was bad in duke of vermeer, he was impulsive and it was bad in boston tea (okay fine, it shows us his younger self! fine with that) BUT THEN HE IS IMPULSIVE AND ITS BAD AGAIN NEXT TIME. FOR THE SAME REASONS whyyy wouldn't they take duke of vermeer as an opportunity to show his growth instead of making him out to be some angry no control childish idiot who sacrifices untold amounts for a little payback. and drags ivy down with him EVERY TIME

there's something so cool and sinister about ivy smiling, reassuring him, and then slowly pulling down the ski mask to hide any emotion. ivy and zack seem like they could have been prime targets for VILE recruitment- they could have gone down a much darker path

Shadow Realm Physical Location Theory

i'll be showing each variant simply to allow for interpretation, but i genuinely believe the last one i show is going to be the proven one.

[1. Recent Popular Theory]

i don't believe this is the most accurate understanding of the shadow realm, mostly because of the scale. many believe that the scarlet aeonia is where bayle's mountain once was, but i can't fathom why or how that would be the case when you consider the rest of the map and its elevation(s). it also doesnt seem to align the suppressing pillar with anything and charo's hidden grave doesn't appear to be hidden by any means in any manner. very little about this rendition seems to answer much, nor beg much question of anybody's understanding of the lore. it's an interesting layout to say the least, and would at least fill in the middle portion of the land

[2. First Personal Theory: Separate Lands]

no occupied land is taken up by another occupied land this way. The Suppressing Pillar is literally in the middle with this one, and Bayle's mountain serves as a landmark between the Bestial Sanctum and the Giants' Mountaintop. notably, this kinda "mirrors" a few landmarks of the map from base-game locations (for example, St. Trina's location would be approximately somewhere below the Divine Tower of Caelid, where we find the Godslayer Greatsword)

similarities between opposing parts of the map somewhat support the idea, but the theory is a bit loose and started falling apart in my head due to the position of the Erd/Scadutree being somewhat displaced between the realms, as well as some seemingly superficial placements like Rauh and the gravesite plain seem weirdly on their own (which frankly doesnt help the fact that they were both the hardest to figure out the lore of, personally)

one might argue that the displacement of the tree is similar to Ranni's spirit being partially outside of her vessel, but that could also be true of what i present to you now..

[3. Current Personal Theory: "Limgravesite" Theory]

i believe this is my final answer to where the realm of shadow is; it may be physically separate from the lands between but it was once part of it.. hell, the realm of shadow even snaps to my phone screen's center when placed and it lines the crucible up with the center cloud:

the Rauh civilization held the Knowledge of Stone, and held great control over the water. their proximity to liurnia is surely no accident. it is only separated from Liurnia by Belurat and its bastion, Stormveil. it is also clear on the map that there is a rift directly across where stormveil's bridge is. it is likely that- and with however marika's rite worked- with the disappearance of specific structures and areas like Belurat and the Rauh Ruins, Liurnia may have begun to flood due to a lack of redirection or lower areas for water to shed toward, like the abyssal woods.

this also answers for other geographical oddities like the Weeping Peninsula being made an actual peninsula in the case that both maps were fully combined. Charo's Hidden Grave would fill the gap, while explaining why the Peninsula may be "Weeping." the Cerulean Coast is literally a sea of blue flowers among a titanic burial ground, and we know that blue magic is heavily tied to water. red magical aspects like seen in Charo's Grave have been almost completely erased from the Lands Between, barring a single weapon from "Eochaid" and one single mysterious bearing hunter. this red magic is likely meant to be akin to copper and blood, which rely on using an internal force to exert a will upon something. blue magic is harnessed extrinsically; pulled from an outside source.

kind of interesting that like. at least w/ the 3 villager characters im familiar with (ed, terrance, & patches) there is definitely like. some correlation between how their dialogue is done & their, like. level of power. & like i dont think its in any way purposeful, but. like…

patches’ dialogue is done through text on-screen. he doesn’t seem to have any more power than your average villager. branzy kinda drags him around places & patches doesnt like it but there isnt much he can do about it.

ed is voiced by kakujo directly. ed also, uhhh. dragged himself out of nonexistence & somehow gained control over every hostile mob. and also he can use tools. so that’s. uh. Yeah,

terrance’s dialogue was originally, before his death, done using text on-screen, like patches. however, after his death & subsequent respawning in the nether, by the branzycraft finale (& for most* of echocraft s2), he’s voiced using a text-to-speech program. also worth mentioning that the piglins were referring to him as lord terrance? oh, and, uh, also, after him & branzy reunite, terrance drops branzy into the echocraft server?? he’s also done interdimensional travel at other times; in branzy’s ec2 halloween special, terrance went through some sort of interdimensional rift to get to the echocraft server (its possible he also made said interdimensional rift but im not sure on that??), and later in the season he also made a machine that could do things like take them back to branzycraft.

i don’t. know what my point is with this. but uh. Yeah

(*terrance was also voiced by branzy with a voice changer for a little bit after the Machine messed up his voice)

Ok today we're going to review Star Wars: Lost Stars (or *Estrellas Perdidas* since i have the ESP version)

Note: Includes Spoiler Free and Spoilerfull section, you'll be warned

It a really old book i decided to read cuz i had it in my house and i heard good things about it.

Spoiler Free Section:

The book is pretty good, the author already had a good number of releases earlier. It doesnt drag that much its very fluid, one or two chapters that takes place halfway across the book feel slow but its not a deal killer. For a YA novel no character feels horribly corny, at least not cornier than a regular star wars character, although they do start introducing a bunch of characters halfway that i mostly couldnt remember.

The legacy characters are used pretty solidly, they dont take all the screen but they arent sidelined entirely since they are pretty important to the story, aside from Darth Vader and Princess Leia most of them only get namedrops here and there, and those that do appear regularly arent particularly famous. You dont need to know who Mon Mothma or Admiral Piett are to enjoy the book. The romance is good enough, its not god tier but you can tell the author has experience writing and she makes it very natural, the romance itself doesnt start until halfway making it feel fluid with the character arcs.

One thing that did bother me for some reason was the cliffhanger, I thought it would be a sell for Episode 7 or some sequel to the book, but its just an open ending for a character that will never appear in another piece of media, and a very unsayisfying open ending at that.

I'm gonna give it a 7.5/10, closer to a 7 than an 8. Recommended for anyone who likes Star Wars and/or YA novels, if youre not into either you might not like it, but its not amateurish like most YA novels post hunger games, it has essence.

Ok now it's time for the spoilers:

The biggest detail that I found odd but I grew to appreciate deeply was the characters never getting over Alderaan and the Death Star's respective explosions. The EU and New Canon have both wanked Star Wars powerscaling so much we forget blowing up a planet is a big deal and this book makes the characters feel that. Having an imperial from alderaan who witnesses the event and instead of defecting doubles down on his loyalty is really interesting.

I also like the change in characteristics from the rebel and imperial main characters, SW usually portrays the empire as rows of rich white people (and a blue man or two) and the rebellion as a very diverse group of humans and aliens so making it so the loyal till the end imperial is a black woman who sees it as a way out of space detroit and the rebel who defects after the events of a New Hope a rich white guy who sees the empire more cynically is an interesting take, although this may be up to personal interpretation.

I did mention that the legacy characters are handled very gracefully, much better than those Disney+ shows could manage, but there was a chapter that did feel too fanservicy, where the imperial main character, Ciena, is the one sent to tow Darth Vader's ship after the death star blows up, it seemed too forced of a meeting between the two, seeing as Ciena ends up in Darth Vader's Star Destroyer anyways for the events of episode V and VI, besides that I didnt feel any problem with the og characters.

The alderaanian imperial, Nash, left a lot to be desired, the book employs a lot of timeskips so it can extend over all the inportant years it needs to, but Nash's character arc doesnt adapt to these, seeing him go from a cheery imperial pre episode IV to an angry loyal commander during and after episode VI isnt handled *horribly* but you dont see the progression since they dont take enough time on him to make you feel the change, I do like that he isnt made comically evil and he does love his friends even at his worst, that is appreciated humanization.

Finally, the post Return of the Jedi events are a bit rushed, you can tell Claudia Gray wasnt allowed to spill too much details on the events since this was released before The Force Awakens, but the insider look on post Endor empire is pretty good, I dont necessarilly agree with the empire surrendering one year after Endor in the new canon, but the book makes it clear that the Emperor quite literally was holding the empire together by himself via duct tape and lightning and how him and Vader dying sent everything downhill, the Battle of Jakku is a great example of it, showing the Empire just getting completely pummeled.

Any character I didnt mention by name I dont have much to say about other that they were either very good if they first appeared on the first half (The other protagonist Thane and other imperials like Jude or Kendy), or a bit forgettable if they first appearned on the second half

Ciel took a moment to stand at attention as General Ironwood called for her. “Yes sir?” 

“I need you to come with me.” 

Ciel paused for a moment and looked over to the tube Penny’s body was kept in as it was repaired and rebuilt. Her hand shook for a moment as her tone slipped from its usual tone. “What for? As Penny’s keeper, I am supposed to stay by her side no matter what until she is repaired and functional.” 

Ironwood nodded and turned to walk off. “There’s an important matter I would like to discuss with you. Please, follow me.” 

Ciel lingered by Penny for a few moments longer before finally pulling away to follow General Ironwood. She kept a few steps behind the general as she walked, making sure to keep herself in proper form as much as she could. Her eyes glanced at her watch, carefully watching Penny’s vitals until they disappeared and showed only the time. “What do you need me for, general?” 

“I’m making a change of plans for your position. Seeing as Penny was a prototype to house the maiden and Specialist Schnee is too close to her sister for the responsibility, you are next in line for a new project.” 

“And what project is that?” 

“To be the defender of Atlas as the Winter Maiden.” 

Ciel paused in her step as she heard the words, not quite registering what the general had meant. “I’m not sure I follow what you mean.” 

“I’ll explain everything, however this needs to remain between us.” Ironwood stopped at a door and placed his hand against a scanner. The door opened and he stepped aside. “After you.” 

Ciel took a few slow and careful steps into the room and paused as she looked down into a medical bay with an older woman kept in one of the aura transfer machines. Her heart raced for a moment as she took everything in, her well hidden emotions starting to make their way out. “Who is she?” 

“She is the winter maiden. She is the key to the relic that this academy hides, and a wielder of magic.” 

“Magic… magic doesnt exist.” 

“It does, though it seems very few know of it or ever see it.” Ironwood sat down and smiled a bit. “But today, I want you to make a choice. You can become a protector of our kingdom in a way you never could before, or you can go back to watching Penny and wait for her to be rebuilt so you can be her keeper once more.” 

Ciel made her way to the window, eyes glued to the old woman. “What’s her name?” 

“Her name is Fria. She doesnt have much longer to live, but still long enough for you to make your decision. If you do agree-” 

“I’ll do it.” 

Ironwood paused for a moment. “Are you sure?” 

Ciel nodded and pulled back from the window and looked back at her watch, tapping it impatiently to bring Penny’s vitals back on screen. “It was my job to make sure Penny was safe and on time for everything, to make sure that she had a companion that was trusted and to make sure that anyone she interacted with would not hurt her or know what she is. And I… failed with that. But maybe I can keep her safe once she’s repaired. And protect Atlas.” 

Ironwood smiled and nodded. “Then we’ll start the transfer in the morning. I suggest you get some rest and prepare for it.” 

Ciel nodded and kept her eyes on her watch as Penny’s vitals rotated back onto the screen. Her heart slowed a bit when she saw that everything was still normal for her in the state she was in. Out of the corner of her eye, she watched Ironwood stand up and leave the room, letting her be alone as she let her thoughts wander on how to protect everyone.

“Again.” 

Ciel’s eyes glowed with a bright fire as she tried to take a few breaths and watched the field in front of her. Hard light projections of grimm started to appear in the training arena as her eyes moved to each one, trying to track their movements. With almost robotic-like movements, Ciel tried to mimic how she saw Penny fight, eyes moving from one grimm to the next as she sent out shards of ice, fireballs, and directed the wind to keep the grimm at bay. Her aura shattered again as a sabyr knocked her over and the program stopped. 

“That’s enough,” Ironwood called out from the observation room. “I’ll see you here again tomorrow, Ciel.” 

Ciel struggled to pick herself up as the flames in her eyes died down and the time on her watch started to slow down. She took a few breaths as her semblance slowed everything around her to a complete stop, standing still and letting her aura try to recharge slightly. While her semblance wasnt great for combat, as long as she stood still, she could get the rest she needed. Once she finished, she moved and dropped her semblance, letting time pick up again. “I’m ready for another round.” 

Ironwood paused. “Are you sure?” 

Ciel nodded and focused as she created a staff with her maiden powers, eyes blazing. “Again!”

-And oh, tavris they are doing you both dirty. like, its an improvement that vriska actually says something positive to him and that tavros did speak up against her at some points. but the narrative doesnt really want them to grow as a person. i think hussie has gotten too attached to vriska the unapologetic thief of light to the point that its reflecting badly on her and other's character development. okay fine i did say i wont take it seriously, but im a writer too. ofc i will notice the issues.

- this might be an unpopular opinion but i like the elevatorstuck music. gamzee is like, getting close to be my scrunkly like i know he does atrocities but he is really funny when doing it.

-the lands for the alpha kids are really fascinating. its less lively than the beta kids but im glad i actually get to experience the puzzles they have to solve on quests and its relations with the players' classpect. i want to see jane fulfilling her planets wish to be green and fertile. she gets too much shit talk from caliborn so i want to see her get a win yknow? and she's so goofy like her beta counterpart i want to see her happy and silly like egbert too.

-speaking of egbert, im kinda worried for him. can you believe it? he doesnt like con air anymore. i've been in his phase of starting to lose all joy in things i used to like and feeling lonely even with people around me and its not pretty. i know he went through a lot. i hope the experience with the dream bubble would make him happier even if just for a bit

-and another beta kids i want to be sad about: davesprite! he's so alone. all of his friends from the timeline is gone, he's not the main dave anymore and john keeps treating him like a replacement. its like he's relegated to a nobody who happens to have a recognizable face. poor guy.

-and to be sad again, i know i made fun of karkat a lot, but i have the biggest parental instinct for him. aside from terezi. he's the biggest crier out of the group. he's shouty and annoying but thats very much the kind of annoying shit that children do yknow? at first i dont like him because of his attitude to jade, but slowly i did warm up to him. he never really hated anybody and most of his tantrums are generally harmless to other people. in fact, he blames himself a lot about things that are out of his control. he's the one with the least body count from the rest of the trolls and he literally had to grew up hunted and unwanted by society. i want to give him a hug, i truly do.

My thoughts on the RWBY9 Finale

So, that after credits scene was just the most dissapointing thing wasnt it.

I’m going to be honest, the introduction of even bigger gods on top of the two D-bags does NOT improve my hopes for the series to return to a lighter, more fun tone in the end. It feels uncomfortably like a series about to lorecreep its way up its own backside.

But if there’s a chance that the final climax at the end-of-days gets resolved by RWBYJNPORE Calling Mom on the Brothers about their most recent attempt at species-wide extinction, that’d be objectively humerous at least.

While I am happy there was at least a hug and some handholding as they entered the door, the fact that there were no apologies or talking out of the initial spat between Ruby and Jaune. Not even a single moment of Rubies friends adressing the whole “you commited suicide” thing feels bad to me. It feels like this finale threw the entire seasons emotional turmoil in the trash and said “dont you look at the turmoil behind the curtain, here’s an expositionary picturebook sequence to distract you instead”. This finale didnt need lore, it needed an emotional resolution to some of the heavy-ass topics they decided to introduce this season. More “summer lore” teases, they still dont mean anything but at least confirmed the one thing we already knew for certain: Raven knows what Summer did. hence why she knew Ozpin couldnt be trusted. Ruby gets to keep her memories because she decided to be herself (and the herself she decided to be had memories so of course she keeps them). Jaune gets de-aged by an actual deus-ex-machina born of a new one-of magical wishgranting mechanic that has no real establishment in the cannon so far. Its not the ominous “ascencion” that’s been looming over the plot, its just an entirely new and seperate thing. I have mixed feelings on the use of the treeherbs to make Neo have an off-screen halucination scene was sort of anticlimactic for that resolution as well. Im not saying it doesnt work as an excuse to get her to fight off the cat from inside, but Neo is tied for the longest-running antagonist in the series, and due to her muteness a non-reading audience knows so little about her. Like if you read the books i understand she’s got a lot of backstory but if you’re like me and just watched the show you only know 1 thing about her: She’s Torchwicks personal Harley Quinn. So while having her halucinations off-screen is probably the correct choice, because it avoids having to exposit an entire backstory in her presumeable final apearance, it is also verry frustrating because she’s still such a vague character to a large swathe of the audience. Also really sucks how they ended Neo’s character with a vague “she’ll become something else” tbh. Like i get that the only NON RWBY character in Blazblue is probably too marketable for them not to keep a backdoor open for a re-appearance when drama suits. (And her treebody just happens to be next to a door that plops people out “wherever they are needed most” so consider her less “dead” and more “A Heroic Return Locked and Loaded for Deus Ex Machina down the line”) Best Bun is gone now. Im not happy about that in the least. I’ll admit i never really cared for little that much (i found them sort of over-cutesied. Like i get that was the point but production overplayed their hand i feel) Im happy Pyrrha’s sash is big again. Im not happy the hair is back though, and its weird that “fixing what Alex broke” turned Jaune back into Pre-fall Jaune rather then Slightly-but-not-yet-extremely-rusted Jaune. Like most of Jaune was already broken before Alex met her, so it seems the spell is perhaps a little too generous. (but im willing to let that slide :P) I felt that the finishing move against the cat was a bit.... much. like it seemed perhaps a bit excessive and focussed on flash. Which is a bit dissapointing because RWBY’s fights are best due to its more nuanced aspects. Not saying there isnt flash usually, just that the flash and nuance normally work together and here it ends in a big ball of everyone-turning-into-streaks-of-movement -------- Now onto my personal notes of judgement. Will i be sticking with the series seeing its current trajectory if a hypothetical S10 gets greenlit? I’ll say Im semi-optimistic, The introduction of the tree smith as a genuinely benevolent deity is probably the most important thing here for the series tonal trajectory. But then that is an indication of levity/hope, not the “fun” that has long been absent of the series. I dont think im abandoning the series completely after all, or at least not yet. Im still worried but no longer hopeless for the series future.

pririka is actually the first person you visit the hub with an all the people there seem to have been invited by her on a vacation to hinomoto (probably her employees?) she got the idea that you have to give gifts in times like this in hinomoto so you start by giving your many many base people, and plenair, some pancakes

its definitely a bigger hub than six, one pretty large room and yes i did find the weird jumping spot immediately. you can get on the roof which is ideal

menus seem.... easier to navigate?

and of course for at least some of these it quickly veers into psychological horror for a bit (see: emilia, whose hopeful bittersweet romance story has some Hidden Darkness behind it due to the sheer amount of times shes attacked + certain things she doesnt know about her family - namely what became of her parental figures between puck, petelgeuse, and fortuna alsdjfls)

i think otto would be a pathetic antihero figure in a mystery/psychological thriller disguised as a straightfoward adventure/slice of life story!! so not that much different from canon but now we get to see him play detective and balance the things he does behind his new friends' backs. you think its some sort of self-actualization story in the beginning where a kind anxious little guy finds himself some friends and a new home and finally makes something of himself - but really this is a tragedy of his own making because his biggest virtue (loyalty and dedication) is now the Worst Thing Ever <3 was he even a nice person in the first place??? yes and no, because the further you get into the story the more you realize hes been exactly the same this whole time. you start wondering if you should still root for him at all.

heinkel aka the Almost Protagonist of Rezero is. its very much a tragedy. probably the kind where we start when hes Already Horrible and then we go back and forth between the past and the present so we see exactly how he got here (as hes continually bashed into the ground in the present). hes the extremely flawed protagonist that you initially hate/dislike at first but then you pity him and wonder if he'll ever improve or die to all his flaws and trauma.... or you can start from the very beginning of his story and you Continually get the sense that something will go Very Very Wrong eventually.

reinhard is. i feel like his story would have the tone of a light hearted slice of life story except it rings hollow because almost Everything about his life is absolutely miserable. its a tragedy. its a horror story. and of course the one person hes ever met that treats him normally still Also recognizes him as a monster. and reinhard doesnt even know that the two of them are Both incomprehensible immortals... but the entire time the tone feels Light for the vast majority of it because reinhard is so used to being miserable and it seems like a fun fantasy story with a powerful but kind protagonist who lives a peaceful life. only for the veil to be ripped right off the moment someone is horrible to reinhard for the first time on screen and reinhard just reacts a little too serenely to it because hes Used To This. the cheerful music in the background is still playing. wait this show isnt fun anymore why are they all acting like the trauma is normal.

rem is odd because. well its a sweet romance in the beginning where both rem and subaru grow as people because of each other, despite rem's painful past and insecurities, but the cracks start filtering in - rem's a little too obsessive, theres something Very Wrong with her love interest, then she falls comatose. but then the audience gets a harsh cut to her waking up from her coma, remembering nothing, and its been a Whole Year, and her former love interest is now some dangerous stranger that she cant trust at all while theyre in already dangerous territory. and its all a rollercoaster from there as she (and the audience) try to piece together wtf is happening now!! wait actually that sounds super fun can you imagine the whiplash both rem and the audience would get post-coma.

Wanna discuss how the Re:Zero storyline would look like (and how it would be marketed, lol) with any of the others as the main characters? I’ll go first:

For Emilia this is one of those wish-fulfillment romance books where a young, ostracized girl meets a powerful, mysterious, monstrous boy who is inexplicably devoted to her in his entirety. At first he doesn’t understand that she is a person and not a thing to be hoarded, but he soon realizes how he hurts her by failing to understand her as a human being and manages to change his monstrous ways for her sake. She and her maids have to teach him basic things like what is considered common courtesy, what is socially unacceptable, how to read… It is a story about a woman who has managed to be kind even in a world that seems intent on hurting her at every turn being rewarded for her kindness with a love interest who — admittedly has to learn to NOT be horribly toxic to her, but who does put in the work to do so, and who is always utterly in love with her.

For Roswaal it is a story about a very twisted protagonist who has been carefully making this time-traveling weapon of a boy in his own image — only for his plan to fail as his weapon gains a mind of its own and starts to rebel. And then as the rebellion succeeds, it becomes a story of a battle of wills, of him and the boy wrestling their wants and desires in order to achieve the best possible future for them both.

For Garfiel it’s a shonen sort of romp where things begin by his mysterious and powerful mentor character tearing down his walls and dragging him into the light practically kicking and screaming, introducing him into a world where he very well may not be the strongest thing alive anymore. He makes new friends, faces new foes, and grows stronger and stronger with each hurdle crossed as he trains and trains for his Captain and his Captain’s kind-hearted Lady, his reunited sister, the strong-willed girl he’s crushing on for years, his newfound brother figure — but all the while, and for all he looks up to the guy, it seems as though nobody can ever really put a finger on what exactly his Captain’s whole deal is.

For Beatrice it’s a story about how her life is turned around when the most annoying boy in existence shows up and gives her a way out of a prison that has kept her in her library for the past 400 years. This brat is very strange, even incomprehensible at times, but they slowly develop a brother-sister relationship as she grows more and more affectionate towards this mysterious stray brat of a contracted partner.

For Ram it’s some sort of sitcom surrounding the great resurrected Oni God, now living as the subordinate of the man who conquered her village years ago. Starring the loud boy next door with an obvious crush on her, her own conqueror/crush being a pathetic wet sock of a man with the moral backbone of a chocolate eclair, an incredibly annoying little brother figure who is her new coworker and also slightly insane, an alcoholic wet cat of a merchant, the young girl she is serving who slowly becomes her best friend — and also her comatose sister who has apparently always existed but whom she has no memory of past a few months ago.

For Petra it’s some sort of fairytale surrounding a young girl who is watching a mysterious stranger save her village time and time again. She thinks he’s just the coolest.

neither of us slept that night, both watching over parker, she slept through the night. "baby" eddie says, as i get up to use the bathroom. I turn and face him, "you've uh" he sighs handing me the other pair of joggers, i frown "what?" "theres some blood on your trousers hun" he says softly, i take the joggers and run to the bathroom, there being a small amount of bright red blood on my pants. 

"no no no" i mumble, quickly changing my trousers before going to the nurses desk. "umm, im like 8 weeks pregnant and theres blood and i" i rush out, the nurse nods "ok, relax" she smiles handing me a pad, "your parkers mum right?" i nod "go get cleaned up and we'll take a look alright" she smiles. 

I go back to the bathroom and put the pad on, the nurse has also handed me a clean pair of paper panties, it would do for now. I walk back into parkers room, where the nurse is smiling softly, "i can get you in for an emergency scan now" i nod "please" "alright sweet come on" she smiles softly, "does dad mind waiting here with parker" i look to eddie who just nods "i'll be here, it'll be alright" he smiles, i nod before following the nurse to the room where she's gonna do the scan. 

I lay on the bed and roll my jumper up as she sets everything up before putting the weird cold jelly on my tummy. "having any cramps?" i shake my head "there was just blood when i got up to pee" i mumble, she nods her head "alright lets have a look" she says looking at the screen. 

"is everything ok?" i mumble, she smiles and carries on looking at the screen, "baby doesnt wanna come out" she chuckles trying to find the little bean, "oh there we go" she grins, turning on the sound "theres babies heartbeat" she smiles as the sounds echos through the room. "everythings fine, probably just because you were a bit stressed, a little blood is normal, but if it carries on come back alright" she smiles handing me some tissue to clean my tummy. 

"can i hear it again?" i say, she nods replying the heartbeat again, "ive also got some pictures being printed for you" she smiles i nod "thank you" "its not a problem" she grins walking out the room. I listen to the heartbeat a little longer before walking out the room finding nurse mary at the nurses station with the scans. "i'll also get your discharge papers for parker" she smiles "shes all good to go home" 

"thank thankyou so much" i let out a sob, "i want you to relax and take things easy as ok" she smiles, i nod taking the paper work and scans before going to the small room parker is in. 

"hey sweetheart is everything ok?" i nod cuddling into his chest, "little bean is fine, i heard the heartbeat" i sob into his chest, "you did?" he grins "yeah,  and- and parkers alright to go home" i nod he grins "great, wanna sign the papers while i get her ready?" i nod and finish signing the paperwork, as we hand them over to the doctors before leaving the hospital. 

once in the car, i hand eddie the new scan photos "their ok" i mumble, "and p, p is ok to" i sigh, reaching back to hold her hand. "mcdonalds and bed?" he chuckles, i nod "please." Eddie drives us to mcdonalds, ordering us all food and milkshakes, before driving home. We get inside and sit on the sofa all together and eat our food, parker is sat in between me and eddie, munching on her chicken nuggets grinning at the both of us. 

Her lip is all big and swollen, but it doesnt seem to bother her much at the moment, a good thing she doesnt use her dummys anymore. She sips on my milkshake grinning up at eddie. "muma" she grins handing me the drink. "baby?" "muma" she smiles leaning on me, "i may have taught her that while you were out the room" eddie smiles, "muma, dada" she grins clapping her hands "yeah good job baby! and your parker!" i smile at the little girl. 

"rka" she giggles, grabbing another nugget. "mummy, daddy and parker" eddie smiles "and baby bean" i add "and baby bean" eddie smiles softly, putting an arm over the sofa to grab my hand as i turn and face my little family, knees up on the sofa, my side against the back sofa cushions. "muma, dada, rka!" parker grins placing a hand on my knee. 

I blow the little girl a kiss, and she tries to repeat the action, "i love you baby" i smile, putting my hand on top of her. She hums eating her food, before rubbing her eyes and letting out a yawn. "tired bubba" "mummmmaaa" she yawns, moving to crawl into my lap. I hold her close as she snuggles into my chest, legs around my waist and arms coming around me as well, "oh baby girl" i sigh rubbing her back. 

"my girl tired" eddie smiles softly, "mm, mumma" she says as eddie rubs her back. "can daddy have a kiss bub?" i say kissing her head, she shakes her head cuddling into me again. "awh parker baby" he says "mummmaaa" she whines, "ok ok baby" i sigh looking at eddie, he chuckles shaking his head "its fine" he grins. He gets up and takes our rubbish to the bin before leaning against the side taking the phone off the wall. "just gonna ring harrington and henderson give them a little update" i nod towards him. 

"Think we're gonna go get in bed and have a nap hey bub" i say kissing parkers head as she yawns again. "i'll join you in a minute ok" he smiles kissing my forehead as i carry parker into the bedroom. 

EDDIE POV 

"hey harrington, just wanted to leave you a message, parkers fine, brought her home this morning, thanks for last night man, we'll pop over again soon, um yeah thanks again" i sigh and hang up, it going to voice mail, he's probably at work. 

Next i dial hendersons number, "hi is dustin there?" "dusty bun" his mum calls, "helloo?" "hey henderson" i sigh softly, "oh hey eddie" he sighs back. "just wanted to let you know parker is fine, her lip is busted but shes fine" he hums "im really sorry again ed" he says, i smile "dude i said it was fine, we just got a bit freaked out yano, your still parkers favourite" i laugh, "but y/n doesnt trust me" "yeah she does, dont worry about her honestly, she was just in mum mode yano, like how your mum gets sometimes... but your mum is always in that mode" i grin "yeah, yeah, i get it" he sighs "im real sorry again" i chuckle "henderson your good i promise, wanna pop by later this week?" "umm yeah, yes please" "alright man, see you soon alright" he sighs "yeah, see you soon" "and henderson?" he hums "love you man" i smile, the kid being like a little brother i never had. "love you too" he says before we hang up. 

Putting the phone back, i go to walk towards the bedroom when the phone rings, i sigh and pick it up "hello, yeah, yeah ok" i sigh closing my eyes. "yeah i'll be there in a bit, alright bye" i sigh, rubbing over my face, i put the phone back. 

Walking towards the bedroom, i find parker curled up into y/ns side, as she plays with her daughters hair, her slowly drifting off as well. 

"hey baby" i smile bending down to kissing her head "hey, was waiting for you to join us" she says, her voice full of sleep and super quiet. I smile sadly running a hand over her forehead "bub, i've gotta get down to the shop, theres been some sort of accident or something" i shrug "i'll be a few hours max alright" i mumble kissing her lips softly, she whines a little "hey, hey no" i smile placing more kisses over her face "you girls get some rest, i'll be back soon alright? and just call the shop if you need anything kay?" she nods pouting at me. 

"baby" i sigh getting up and leaning down on the bed to wrap my arms around her. "few hours kay?" she nods "can i have a kiss please" she pouts, i smile softly kissing her softly, cupping her face, she moans quietly into the kiss but i pull away. "few hours kay" i mumble against her lips, she nods "few hours" i nod, placing a quick kiss to her lips again before leaving the trailer.

YOUR POV 

Eddie was still gone by the time me and parker had woken up, around 2pm. Carrying parker into the kitchen i dial the shops number and wait for someone to pick up. 

"Hello" "Hi is eddie there" i say into the phone, parker resting her head on my shoulder, "yeaah, yeah two seconds" the guy says "hello?" "eddie" i sigh/whine, "i know baby, i know i'll be home soon i promise, one of the new guys fucked this car up and we've had to completely pull everything apart to re fix everything" he sighs, "how has that taken this long though" he chuckles lightly, "its more of a bus type thing" he chuckles, "so we had to work out how to get under it safely and things hun" he grins into the phone, "bus?"

"yeah bus, why you fixing a bus?" i ask, confused, "bub its a tour bus, some band were travelling through just outside hawkins when it broke down" he smirks, "big money hunni" he sighs softly, "i'll be home before dinner kay?" i sigh into the phone and parker looks at me then the phone "dada?" she says pointing "yeah baby its dada" i smile softly, "dada" she says a little louder "put her on?" he says i put the phone between my ear and shoulder before moving to sit parker on the kitchen side. Then putting the phone to her ear while holding her side so she doesnt fall" 

I cant hear what he's saying but he must be doing the voices he does cause parkers giggling away, slightly confused as to how this is all happening, but amused none the less. "dada, muma" she says looking at me smiling, "can i talk to him baby?" she giggles, i take the phone and she pouts "dada" she frowns, "i'll be home before dinner, i love you" he sighs, i nod "i love you eddie" i sigh as he hangs up. "dada?" parker says tilting her head a bit. 

"dada be home soon baby" i say picking her up and taking her to the living area, putting on one of her kids videos, as we cuddle on the sofa. 

Parker has her muzzie from the zoo in one hand and her sippy cup in the other, "thirsty baby?" i smile playing with her hair, "ore mummaa" she smiles handing me her cup, "come on then bubba" i smile softly, taking her from the sofa, holding her hand as we walk to the kitchen, i fill her cup with some very watered down juice before handing it back to her. She brings the cup to her mouth and begins drinking before sighing as she drops it to her side and attempts to blow a kiss at me "your welcome baby girl" i smile, she grins and walks off back into the living area. 

I grin watching the little girl as she sits on the floor with her teddies and watches the tv. I grab my bag and find the ultrasound photos and put them on the fridge before going back to parker.

Please rant about why you didn't like how chapter 14 characterized Caramel arrow. I may not have gotten to it because I'm still stuck in chapter 11 but I'd love to hear it.

shes a static character. NOTE. static characters are NOT inherently bad. but she has so much potential for being fucked up and questioning her loyalties and shit. as she stands she is just. There. she does a little bit of girlbossing but ESPECIALLy in chapter 14 she is just there to go its okay dark cacao ur doing the right thing it is alright u are okay :] and she doesnt even get resolution with affo. iirc they dont even rlly get a confrontation he just. Runs away. these r my main problems but ill get into a lot of wasted potential later. ill be so mad forever and ever they didn't let carrow kill affogato. like. she had a straight shot in the end when his sheilds were down and he was just trying to get away. ut she just goes "OHHH NO AFFOGATO IS GETTING AWAYYYYY" like babygirl you are the first watcher. What are you doing. i get that cr doesnt have the balls to violently kill him on screen but like u could have shot him and left him for dead at least. Like. .... idk. red velvet gets a crossbolt bolt to the face in TOSC its not too out there. but even then carrow seems like the type to want to kill someone cleanly and effectively no matter WHAT they did so she doesnt stoop to their level. so as far as my fanon goes she shot him thru the head when he was trying to escape. like again i know canon wouldn't do that but it is dissapointing to see nothing happen with him and carrow's arc yet another injustice to carrow's character. shes just. There honestly. like she doesnt DO ANYTHING. shes kinda just [woman standing discord emoji] you could honestly remove her from the plot without much difference which is. REALLY FUCKING SAD considering that she was so hyped up and is playable. her only real character trait is 'loyal to dark cacao'. which falls flat considering DARK CACAO IS FUCKED UP?? like i know affo is manipulating him or whatever but he had to have been at an incredibly low point in the first place - likely caused by dark choco's betrayel and the stress of losing so much , including many of his watchers, to the war. the main missed potential i see: the missed potential with her and dark choco. it's heavily implied he was very very close with her - and her mentor. she even has a line abt him being the one who taught her how to use a bow. it's p easy to assume he's the person who trained her and could probably be considered her non-blood informal older brother or maybe an idol. [i prefer the former but. Yeah] have her loyalty be split between the king who deeply hurt his people for decades [since even before affo i doubt it was good considering i can only IMAGINE how fucked up the kingdom was afrer the DFW with their watchers presumaby spread incredibly thin after so many losses] and FUCKING EXILED HER regardless of affo's imput and the prince who trained and partially raised her but has done so much fucked up shit and lost his path

NEITHER of them are good people. at least completely. do they deserve her loyalty? is she reeally doing good by following anyone?? is bias by being close to the royals clouding her judgement? she can't answer those questions

but No. dark cacao good everyine else bad :3. so dissapointing this is becoming more of a stretch but this is more a thinly veiled excuse to talk abt my fanon because i make her character so much cooler and sexier but. Ya! also not to say she was probably a trainee or barely out of training when dark choco betrayed everyone when he was probably her older brother figure andddd probably got shoehorned into the position of first watcher too fast since dark cacao was in such deep paranoia after getting betrayed by his own son he couldn't trust anyone short of who was practically his own daughter but. Ya! would have fucked. her cutscene thing says she became the first watcher at an incredibly young age. u can assume in canon that just means that she was so capable she earned it so early on but like. You could ALSO take rlly fucked up implications from that if you wanted to. like. Yeah. also i dont have as thorough thoughts on this but. it's sad that we didnt see much of her relationship with the other watchers. its obvious that they miss her, care about her, and are still loyal to her. i've always thought it was a really interesting thing that despite her exile and presumably being stripped of her title they all still call her first watcher. resisting the urge to talk abt her and magnolia so i wont but like. scenes with the other watchers could have rlly helped this!!! oh also if you ship carrow x affogato get the fuck off this post i actually hate you fuck you fuck yo ufuck yuyou fuck you. Die. thats all i remember for now. Bye girl.

I’ve been rewatching Ninjago out of nostalgia and I’m currently finishing Season 3 which is actually?? Decent?? I know the reason it probably leaves a sour taste in a lot of people’s mouths is the Nya love triangle and the villains could’ve been better but it feels like this is the season that the plot kicks it up a notch?

Like don’t get me wrong, I grew up rewatching Season 1 the most and love it even if some aspects haven’t aged well *cough*everyonemakingfunofZaneforwearingpink*cough*

Season 2 I think has a great first half (the idea that Garmadon purposefully tries to thwart the Ninja in ways to prevent his son from reaching his full potential so they don’t have to fight is interesting) but it’s second half feels disconnected and even rushed a bit for what was supposed to be the series finale 

The fight scenes are also just painful to watch and I laugh at how much of the time there’s like a group of them watching an one-on-one battle without making an effort to like,, help that person out

My favorite instance of this is when Cole tells Kai to take on the Stone Warrior in the museum like?? Why wouldn’t all of you fight him?? Why Kai specifically??

Side note, I love how the Overlord was clearly supposed to be the most ultimate evil bad guy ever and how much of an emphasis they made on “Oh remember this past season 1 event? Can’t believe this is our final battle!” *proceeds to make thirteen more seasons*

But with Season 3 it’s like

Ok yeah the Ninja becoming teachers in-between seasons when they’re supposedly still teenagers is weird which also keeping S4 in mind i refuse to see them as anything but in their early twenties excluding Lloyd 

Yeah Nya deserved so much better this season. Like really between Season 2 where she received barely any action as Samuari X and the love triangle, I don’t know what is worse but at least it felt like she received more screen-time

Yeah Evil Wu could’ve probably been explored more and it would’ve been more interesting if he actually,, spoke

Yeah it doesnt make any sense the Ninja knew the Serpentine had been stuck in the tunnels or the Serpentine saying they locked themselves in the tombs when later seasons contradict this but thats just Ninjago for you

But even including all that there’s some really great stuff like!

The decision to split Lloyd and the other ninja up actually works out well?? It gives a chance for the Original Four to shine on their own and for Lloyd to be still the super important Chosen One

Which then the writers gave us Lloyd and Garmadad bonding time which was so great

The fact they decided to make Sensei Garmadon swear off fighting and weapons makes him so interesting?? He will very much fvck you up but by allowing you to be the person to fvck yourself up

The whole interaction he and Wu had regarding protecting Ninjago’s future was great and you know the writers were cowards that feared if they didn’t kill Sensei Garmadon off that he’d prevent Wu from hiding secrets which is like 90% of where the suspense in Ninjago stems from

If you ignore how dumb the love triangle is, I do love the fact like others pointed out, it very much seems the reason Cole even starts showing an interest in Nya is because he does it out of spite for Jay getting upset at something he wasn’t even aware of 

I love Cyrus Borg--his excitement about the future of technology is infectious and I love how easily the writers could’ve had him against Pixel leaving his side and instead Cyrus encouraged her to go do what she wanted

The poor man does get captured and cyborgified twice in one season oof

Zane’s and Pixel’s relationship is actually pretty cute?? It’s literally the plot of Wall-E but I don’t care it’s still cute, whether you see it as romantic or platonic.

The idea of an evil eldritch spirit like the Overload being a computer virus isn’t that bad of an idea. I mean, he’s still a ridiculously weak villain but it’s still cool.  

The ninja go to space!!! Is it absolutely ridiculous? Yeah, but it happened and I still think it’s hilarious it happened. 

And then Zane’s sacrifice at the end?? It doesn’t matter if you know he comes back, it still hurts!

Also! The music is good?? Like S1 and S2 had decent music but it’s even better here?? Especially the Weekend Whip remix. This lego show’s music should not be as good as it is at times.
