jacob/renesmee & the werewolves as a whole in twilight š
Soulmates as a horror concept.
You WILL love this person. It doesn't matter who you loved before; any feelings you had, any promises you made, they will become inconsequential as soon as you lock eyes with the stranger Fate has picked for you.
There's no way to stop it.
There's no way to say "no."
You will meet someone and with a single glance, both of you will become someone new, someone who's now bound to this stranger whether you like it or not, want it or not.
Trapped in a dance together until the day you die.
#the funny thing for me is the way meyer goes back and forth on whether it's a horror concept or a good thing#like the narrative presents it as a bad thing for leah for sure but not so bad for sam & emily#and then jacob is pretty obviously and intensely disgusted by the idea of imprinting most of the time#except when he is exceptionally desperate to get over bella#but even then it doesn't seem like a good thing it seems like an act of desperation and honestly almost a kind of suicidal ideation#and then the ending... it's so creepy... bella reads renesmee's thoughts and she sees that she feels possessive over jacob??#like yeah she's a baby and babies are often possessive of like toys and shit and then they grow out of it#but she hardly has a normal or well-adjusted growth period???#does it not seem most likely that growing up super fast and powerful and then having someone who is forced to love you unconditionally...#like if that's not a formula for corruption i don't know what is š#i really wonder if meyer even realizes the horror potential here or if she just straight up doesn't#like is she just thinking āno this is fineā or is the horror subtext intentional??#breaking dawn sequel where renesmee is the villain is what i'm saying#(no fucking way though 'cause meyer is straight-up scared of making her characters suffer)

okay, okay, okay, bear with me
mobei jun already knows about shang qinghua as airplane
oki ive decided to take advantage of the fact that WE NEVER GET A MOBEI JUN POV AND I'LL BE FORVER SALTY ABOUT THAT SHIT
but like, shen yuan figured airplane out REAL fast, right? they barely spent time together before the immortal alliance and then it takes one surprise before airplane is saying stupid shit, right?
and i cant help but think, mobei jun aint dumb and he's been spending How Many Years crashing at shang qinghua's leisure house whenever the fuck he feels like it?
he also finds shang qinghua to be Hella Sus because come on, ofc he does. a human just declares their undying loyalty to you after one fucking meeting??? even if he believes shang qinghua is being sincere in the moment, the fact that he was so quick to betray his sect doesnt speak of a loyal servant
so why wouldnt he snoop? why wouldnt he pay extra close attention when shang qinghua says shit that doesnt make sense? why wouldnt he notice when shang qinghua speaks or writes in a language that he doesnt recognize? airplane canonically isnt fluent in english so if he used a bit of it, especially chinglish, wouldnt mobei jun be able to learn some of the meanings of the words just by context clues? especially when he has YEARS to decode it? like if airplane was fluent, maybe he could hide the meaning, but a limited vocabulary adapted to another language isnt actually super hard to decode. it's the same reason that you can generally understand what slang means before you look up the definition. you might not know what 'rizz' means, but you can pick up the meaning from context clues.
anyway im over explaining the linguistic aspects ALL IM SAYING IS what if airplane kinda depends heavily on chinglish to be his Secret Language that Theres No Way That Anyone Here Can Get. and sure, for most people, it does seem like gibberish. but again, mobei jun has YEARS at his side and reasons to nitpick at it and decode it.
like what if airplane had a habit of writing out pidw plot points in chinglish bc look he is Going to forget shit no matter what, he wrote that novel a lifetime ago, but theres some info thats pretty important for him to Not Forget. so mobei jun is just left with a huge stash of Impossible Information that shang qinghua writes about
everything ranging from future events to obscure demon world facts that theres just no justifiable reason for shang qinghua to know about and just everything in between.
but also what if shang qinghua wrote his feelings? his thoughts? his issues? like cmon, he literally has NO ONE to consult with about the insanity of his life before cucumber-bro, and his life is really crazy, and he used to be the person who wrote out his feelings via novel but look dude he's not about to tempt fate by writing out another novel rn so a diary makes sense. or at least like, random venting
and again, this isnt even mentioning airplane having some potential verbal fuckups that mobei jun can add to his ever growing file of "shang qinghua has something fucking going on"
and like, maybe mobei jun hasnt actually figured out the exact truth but he has some eerily close guesses. or maybe airplane wrote a lengthy journal explaining literally his entire fucked up life and mobei jun knows Everything.
look im just a little bit obsessed with mobei jun casually being aware for YEARS that shang qinghua is from another world and might have once had god-like powers over this world. i think this is very funny and i think it could work in a canon compliant way. cuz i also like to think that some of mobei jun's aggro at shang qinghua was a mixture of
you literally wont tell me who you really are. you claim to be my loyal subject but you wont even tell me your real name and Yes I'm Upset About That
you fucking fucker, you literally PLANNED that horrible event to happen???? you suck so bad omfg. THAT WAS TRAUMATIZING FOR ME YOU JERK NO I DONT CARE IF YOU FEEL BAD ABOUT IT NOW
your handwriting sucks and im mad that i didnt just have to decode your weird other language, i also had to decode your fucking horrendous handwriting and i dont know if i can ever forgive you for that
you barely ever show your real personality in front of me and i have to learn how you really feel by reading this fucking notes and YES IM UPSET ABOUT THAT
i also just love the idea of Something Happening to do with the multiverse and basically mobei jun is the only one who isnt remotely surprised lmfao. binghe is in crisis mode, cucumber thinks he's gonna die, airplane is freaked out, and mobei jun is just like "yeah, figured some dumb shit like this might happen. you didnt know binghe? dont you pay any attention to your husband :/ dude, they're not even good at hiding it, i thought you were supposed to be smart"
also the simultaneous heartattacks that cucumber and airplane would have that mobei jun just KNOWS like thats hilarious. imagine they need to talk about something secretly in public and its super urgent and mobei jun just starts using chinglish or webspeak or something perfectly and cumplane are FREAKING THE FUCK OUT
mobei jun: that mofo is hella sus, but keep it on the dl. ttyl i need to do a vibe check
cumplane: ?!?!?!?!?!?

nerd astrology ā jujutsu kaisen (001)
hey yāall! i wanna give my personal opinions on what my favorite characters from my favorite video games, mangas/animes, & comics would be astrologically. today, iām starting off with the students of jujutsu kaisen!!! [spoiler warning]. š ima discuss some canon events of JJK. not giving away too much plot though, but just so ya know.
YUJI ITADORI ā āi like a tall womanā¦ with a nice big ass ā just sayinā.ā
gemini sun. pisces moon. sagittarius rising.
heās so sociable, kind, and friendly. very concerned with others & their wellness, thus the seventh house sun. his fixation on āproper deathsā & ensuring justice. it seems like a blend of seventh house and jovial energy. he super go with the flow and adaptable. and heās very powerful. i think he also love to laugh. even when aoi todo was beating the fuck out of him, he still humored his question when asked. he can be really philosophical / thoughtful. especially with others. he likes to think, and thatās a quality gemini, pisces, and sagittarius all share. i do also see scorpio, but maybe his mars.
MEGUMI FUSHIGURO ā āi donāt have a preference. as long as she has unshakable character, i wonāt ask for more.ā
scorpio sun & moon. capricorn rising.
that resting bitch face say earth. the capricorn rising in particular is because he had to grow up wayyy too fast. his pappy was incompetent. but he very aloof & calculated (calculation is ruled by capricorn!). i was thinking he could be a virgo rising, but he lack the neuroticness of a mutable. allat scorpio & capricorn would make sense considering his technique is shadows, though. he is very compassionate & concerned with āthe right thingā as well though, which explains the sun conj moon in the eleventh house.
NOBARA KUGISAKI ā āif hell froze over and danced the lambada, still no.ā
sagittarius sun. aries moon. taurus rising.
loud, brush, aggressive, etc. i find this quality is most people who have a combination of aries & taurus in their charts. the impulsive aries & stubborn taurus create someone with a mixture of that head-butting energy. her personality is big too. can be a bit blunt, as i notice with a lot of sagittarius placements. but the girl can fight. thatās for sure. and sheās pretty smart / calculated.
MAKI ZENIN ā āif i stayed there [at the bottom], i wouldāve hated myself.ā
scorpio sun. capricorn moon. aquarius rising.
i feel she is so saturnian in how her family rejected her. a lot of saturnians are forced into independence at a young age. that detriment moon does a lot in her family ostracizing her. still, sheās insanely disciplined. she had no cursed energy (energy is solar in nature, & saturn is the sunās detriment) but she compensates for that just how raw she is with practical combat. i think her tenth house scorpio sun would make sense also in how she presents herself ā kinda hard and unapproachable, but really sheās just complicated.
TOGE INUMAKI ā āfish flakesā¦ā
pisces sun & moon. capricorn rising.
he so weird, & thatās why i luv his character sm. anyways. that calm presence he got in social situationsā¦ i feel could be a saturnian ascendant. i could see aquarius, but i couldnāt see a third house in aries for him. which is why i opted for capricorn. instead, he would have a saturnian second house & a jovial third house, which can show his restricted speech but the large impact of his words. i could also see pisces ascendant but iām not sure about a first house sun, iād guess first house moon before that. heās not aggressive, but he gon do what he got to for his friends. giving third house moon. also. the fact that he chooses to communicate with food ingredients is the most third house moon thing ever, and the fact nobody (aside from his circle) understands is the most piscean third house thing ever.
PANDA ā āthe answerās obviously pandas!ā
taurus sun. pisces moon. libra rising.
a sweetheart and a voice of reason. heās really laid back & chill, which is super venutian to me. i think thereās a major focus on harmony for him. but again, just ācuz he venutian donāt mean he bitchmade. the way he fucked mechamaru up was insane. i chalk it up to his eighth house taurus sun. i think people forget that taurus (the bull) can be aggressive if they want to. other than that though, heās adaptable and really just wanna avoid unnecessary fall out. he will take it there if yāall want to though.
some of these i have mixed feelings about. but whatever. iām gonna start reading the manga soon, so as i get better acquainted with the characters, my opinion might change.
thanks for reading!

OC origins
Thanks @paeliae-occasionally here, @the-golden-comet here, @leahnardo-da-veggie here, and @honeybewrites here!
Rules: tell us the origin of the names and personalities of a couple OCs!
I already did Lexi and Maddie here! I also like talking about character design changes so here we go.
Ash:
Ash's first incarnation was in Draft One of TSP. She was Alexia's best friend Aurora FlitƩ. I don't remember how I came up with the name. She was also ten with little personality, although she had more than Alexia. Aurora seemed to be overdramatic, more than anything. She had telepathy, which has remained consistent. Aurora had pale skin and freckles like she does now, but that's about the only thing that has stayed the same. She was originally based on my best friend though I gave her longer hair, down to her waist. I described Aurora's hair as a blackish brown with red highlights, though I just made it brown in Draft Two. Aurora's hair progressively got shorter over time until it became Ash's much shorter hair in Draft Five, where her hair changed to black. Her eyes used to be blue but soon became greener until they were completely green. I'm not sure when I got rid of her glasses. I don't remember defining Aurora's wardrobe, but I remember it being layered and colorful. Now, Ash wears mainly jeans, T-shirt, and a plaid overshirt. In Draft Five, I also gave her rings. In Draft Two, Aurora's surname was Austin, but I changed it to its permanent Hathaway in Draft Three. The name Ash was chosen because when starting Draft Four, I had another character named Aurora in what later became SOTL (her name isn't Aurora now either lol), so I realized I should probably change her name, especially since I was growing less fond of it for her (nothing against the name itself). I felt like she still needed an A name, so I improvised Ashley while I was writing. However, I tried just calling her Ash and I got attached to it right away, so I went back and changed previous mentions (this was while writing chapter one). Ash Hathaway still sounded good so I kept her surname. Personality-wise, Ash has changed quite a bit. She's still super hard to get down, though, so I need to work very hard on her. So this will be hard to describe. Ash isn't overdramatic anymore, that's for sure. She's a lot more reckless than she used to be. She is more curious and prone to liking adventure, which is something I'm trying to emphasize more in Draft Five. Scientifically-minded, I'd say. In Draft Four, I felt Ash's descent into obsession and refining her power and sinking into jealousy etc happened too fast. I'm going to have to fix it, which I'm trying to do. It's hard to describe her progression when I'm in the middle of it!
Gwen
Gwen's equivalent character did not exist until Draft Two. Like most here, she was originally based on someone I knew before I changed her up a bit. In Draft Two, Gwen's name was Andrea Armstrong, though in Draft Three she went by Andy. Andrea never made an official appearance, she was just a planned character, but Andy had one scene at the beginning of Draft Three. In Draft Two, Andrea was planned to have the power to take characters out of books, but in Draft Three I planned it to be invisibility, which it stayed throughout the rest of the series. For her design, Andrea/Andy had light brown skin, hair, and eyes. I'm not sure what her wardrobe was. Gwen still has very light brown skin and eyes but her hair is darker, though she usually wears it in a braid. I gave her glasses when I decided people with invisibility typically need them, but she didn't get them until Part Three of Draft Four, while in Draft Five she got her glasses during Part One. She also now wears boy's jeans (for pockets), a tank top, and a sweater. I think Andrea just came to me and I thought Andy was a cute nickname. Gwen came up because the friend she was based on wished her name started with a G (because her crush had a name that started with a G... Oh, middle schoolers...) so I fulfilled her wish, and Gwen was the first name I thought of. Since she was always meant to have a Mexican mother and Italian father (or equivalent), I looked up Italian surnames because I couldn't think of any off the top of my head, and just said "Gwen [surname]" until something sounded right, and since it's Amante and I assume the list was alphabetical, it didn't take me too long. Personality-wise, Gwen used to come across as a lot more shyer and hesitant than she turned out, despite keeping her introverted nature. Gwen became even more loving and caring and compassionate etc than ever, soon getting a fire burning inside her, which only happened due to what I put this poor girl through in Parts 2-4, or at least what's drafted of them. Starting Draft Five, Gwen had developed so much in Draft Four into a character I love dearly, with many layers to her, so she was easier to write and build up.

My Spidersona's Fighting Style (in Gifs):
Disco-Spider!Diane
Got this idea from the lovely @hrhmimieucliffe who has THE BEST OC and THE BEST ART jkfgjjkhgdfkg
I know the TikTok Trend is one gif only but i don't respect tiktok and I don't take orders neither does he
Derby Demolition -
This ain't all Disco-dancing and party-prancing - Diane LOVES Roller Derby too. And growing up in a house full of older-'brothas', Diane knows how to tussle.
More into Impact Play, you're more likely to catch an elbow to the teeth rather than a web to the face.
Diane punches, trips, headbutts, elbows, shoves, chokeholds - you name it, she'll do it. And her main weapon are her skates.
Diane is known to fight 'feet-first', with lots of kicks, and her skates are like her brass knuckles.
Getting kicked in the face with the truck (metal part) of her skates, you're 100% coming out of it with a broken nose. Lots of criminals in 1294 has crooked noses for a reason, ouch.
The Speed -
Diane's biggest asset is her speed.
Categorized by Lyla's systems as a 'Speedster Spider', like Jessica Drew - Diane belongs to a class of Spider's known for showing up fast and ending fights quick.
If you're on foot, on bike, in a car - you're not out-running her. If you're on land - you're not out-gunning her. If she wants to catch you, she's on your ass like white on rice.
People don't expect much from the skates - but surprisingly, she avoids much of the typical issues most Speedsters do. No gas tank to worry about, no loud engine, no need to stick to streets, can't be knocked off them - plus she can stick to freaking walls.
She's a speed power-house all by herself.
With Super-strength and training, Diane has legs stronger than Serena Williams on steroids. Using tactics to pick up speed, flips, skating on walls, and holding on to cars, Diane can clock up to 85-100mph (130-160kph) - almost twice as fast as the top speed skater, or a bit over the world's fastest pitch, doing this by using her webs as a slingshot for her.
She's fucking fast.
Style Points -
If you're gonna do it, do it well, am I right?
Diane is all for the style points - often pulling flips, axel spins, and turns from figure skating.
Part function and Part flair - Diane does this to pick up velocity while skating, or she'll attach one of her gold bangles to a web, spinning rapidly to swing it around her.
But it's also for fun. Like most Spider-people, she loves to show off and talk back during battle, and doing flips are her way of running circles around a villain.
You're a hardened criminal with malicious intent but you're getting your ass-beat by a walking Lisa Frank sticker, PLUS she's listening to Rick James on a Walkman, PLUS she's doing Olympic flips and shit.
This has become an in-joke with her fans.
From a New York where the neighborhoods are split into strict 'Police-Managed' and Black Panther territories - the general opinion of the public is pretty split on Disco-Spider because of it. At the very least, J.Jonah - a more militant Black Panther radio host - seems to think she's conceited and a 'lost sista'. Whatever, Hotep.
But one of the symbols of support for Disco-Spider is a simple white sign with a ten on it - like figure skating judges.
Created by Disco's supporters at the Discos and Queer Clubs she protects from police - the signs give Diane 10 out of 10's on style points.
Likewise, Black-Owned shops in the area can display a small '10' sign in their window to show they're under Disco's protection, along with '10' stickers on sign posts that are placed in areas she's considered to watch and patrol.
Disco and her supporters call her territory 'Disco's Haus', often referring to Disco as 'MamaDisco', though - they don't know Diane's really only 20. For their safety, most of them do not know who she is, and Disco might attend queer balls and discos masked. Though she usually just goes as plain-ol (yeah right) Diane.
Isn't it crazy that Diane ALWAYS misses it when Disco is here? Bummer.
10 outta 10 she's a bad bitch

hello, I wanted to request a one shot for Tao Ren with a fem reader who is extremely insecure about her abilities as a shaman in combat even though she is an extremely powerful healer and support. You donāt have to do it if you donāt want to, it is your choice. Thank you!
Hello!! Thank you so much for your request! I hope you enjoy it! <33333
Tao Ren With A Healer Reader Who's Insecure About Their Shamanic Abilities šæ
Before he decided to fix up his attitude, he used to make fun of your abilities. Being a healer doesnāt exactly provide you with any super strength or flashy abilities. If you werenāt physically strong outside of your abilities, then he wouldnāt see you as a threat.
Heād mock you whenever he could, but he eventually realized how useful your power was in battle. Depending on how fast you could heal yourself or others, youād probably be a pretty formidable opponent.
Itās kinda like with Faustās skeletons and how they always get back up. If you could do the same at a fast rate, heād be a little intimidated. Of course, he also considers if certain wounds heal faster than others.
After he eventually softened up and got to know you, heād lessen up on the comments towards your abilities. Heād realize that he was being childish and even ask you more about how your powers work.
Something he realized was that your power also meant that you had a lot of knowledge of medicines and various healing procedures. Of course, you couldnāt save him when he died because you werenāt there, but he appreciated the effort you made.
One day, you asked him if he could help you train in combat. Heād be shocked, since he honestly didnāt think you needed the training. Sure, you were a little reckless sometimes in the field, but he figured you could handle yourself.
When you explain how helpless you feel with your lack of combat abilities, he realizes how important strength is to you. Begrudgingly, he decides to help you.
Heās initially apprehensive about the idea, since he sometimes forgets to manage his own strength. Heās used to going all out on his enemies, but he doesnāt want to do that to you. He does a few practice sparring sessions to access your current strength and what you need help with.
Your agility, coordination, and flexibility are fine. The main issue is the lack of physical force behind your attacks along with your endurance. Since you were so used to using most of your mana to heal yourself, you didnāt have much endurance against physical attacks. He literally beat you in a fist fight in five minutes!
He starts training you in his spare time, which is how he gradually grows closer to you. He watches you grow in strength, and he also grows alongside you. Even when he was learning the spells from Haoās stupid book, he learned them with you.
One shot š:
Ren let out a grunt as he blocked your oncoming strike. Another session of hand to hand combat, another session of teaching you to be stronger. Ren didnāt really get it. To him, you were already pretty strongā¦yet, it seems you didnāt see it that way.
āCome on. Donāt tell me thatās all youāve got? Have you not learned a single thing?ā Ren remarked mockingly as he easily dodged your weak attack. He suddenly dealt a sharp roundhouse kick to your stomach, watching you brace for impact.
To his surpriseā¦you didnāt fall. You let out a groan before quickly dealing a kick of your own. He didnāt have time to react, causing him to lose his balance and fall over. Incredible. You had finally landed a proper hit on him.
He watched you hurry to his side, frantically asking if he was okay. He let out a scoff, but he supposed it was just your nature as a healer. He let out a rare chuckle and looked at you, smirking proudly. āGood job,ā he whispered, āWeāll start again tomorrow.ā
He watched you jump up excitedly. You were so proud of yourself. He couldnāt help but cup your cheek, causing you to gasp in surprise. āTry and add some more power to your kick next time,ā he added teasingly before grabbing his sword and heading back inside, leaving you flustered and stuttering on the ground.
He couldnāt help but chuckle to himself. This just got a lot more interesting.

Dragons Rising: Season 2
I'm a little bit more nervous to watch season 2; I like watching things that make me feel happy, and from the brief spoilers I've gotten about this season, this is probably gonna be more sad than anything... But I'll try.
I will be continuing to work on the two pieces I was working on before, so check the bottom of this post if you want to see my progress! (This goes for my season 1 notes post, too, by the way.)
ā ļø Spoilers for episodes 1-5!
Divider by cafekitsune
Episode 1: The Blood Moon
New Jordana look, huh? I don't really like it right now, but I can grow to get used to it.
So are the lines on her face just... permanent?
Good to know Raz has night vision.
Jordana is clearly scared about all of this... I wonder how long it will take for her to switch sides.
The bad guys always seem too distracted, intentionally taking their time to get to their targets. I kinda understand why it was that way for the little phone video in the beginning of the episode, since it's such a cramped space to work with and the movements might cause motion sickness. But with every other fight? No.
Wow, Ryu grew up quite fast.
Fugidove? In 2024?
Holy fuck, the news reporter remembered Pixal? Most of the ninja didn't even remember her. Actually, practically nobody in Ninjago city. He's either a super fan, or the writers completely forgot that fact for this season.
Is Intelligent George a parody on someone? I can't tell.
Did Sora really have to spell that out? Did they just... not think that that people watching the second season had already watched the first? I feel like spelling it out like that will make people not want to go back and rewatch the first season to see what they missed.
Also, with how much bigger Ryu is, I would've thought more time had passed. The way Sora had said that line makes it sound like she just unlocked her true potential instead of it being like... a few months ago or something.
Okay, so now we're on the "Arin really wants elemental powers" thing. He seemed mostly fine with that last season. What changed?
Arin, if you're looking for someone to be talking about those still lost in the merge, why the hell would you watch a Youtuber who only wants to talk about the ninja to sell merch? There are plenty of people that you could talk to; the people you're currently around would be far better to talk to about this. I know that they don't have the solution right now, but they are far more likely to come up with one before a fucking Youtuber.
Sora and Arin are such good friends. Even if their interests are completely different, they still partake in the other's activities, especially when the other is looking blue.
Poor Frohicky, lol
Zane would have already heard and figured out these figures of speech back in like... season 1 or 2. But he's still cute. I like that Kai and Zane are playing the video game together.
The layout of this game makes me think of the TMNT arcade game. Nice touch.
Hm... so Lloyd's getting more visions... or he's having a nightmare... or both?
So... Zane and Sora are gonna get taken down. Is Arin going to rebel, betray them? Beatrix is clearly coming back, which I figured would happen after she disappeared into that merge-quake at the end of last season.
Wu watching over his nephew is nice, but... where's Garmadon? Sure, Wu is probably more iconic and a better teacher, but Garmadon is Lloyd's father. I want to see him again... would he have the same golden glow that Wu's ghost does, or would he have a purple glow or be a purple void?
Also, where's Nya? I don't think I've seen her at all this episode.
Why is Arin's voice so soft now? It's like he's constantly whispering into the mic?
Kreel not even denying that she tried to make their mech explode back in episode 1 lol
Wait is the junkyard ghost Wu?
Wow, that was a small investigation montage.
I like Ryu's teenage model over the baby one, but he reminds me a little too much of Toothless.
That old lady shaming those throwing away a good dragon... but not taking the dragon? Oh, come on; she would've totally tried to take Ryu back home with her. It's an old lady thing.
Oh my god, Arin stop self-pitying; this is not the time.
Arin, they will be proud of you; you're a ninja.
Lloyd's gonna have a heart attack.
Woah, the camera during this fight is really wobbly. It actually feels like Arin, Sora, and Ryu are in danger.
The actual panic in Lloyd's voice.
Give me the smoke guy's name. I need it. He's really cool.
Episode 2: Shattered Dreams
Wait, the writers of destiny are still a thing? I would've thought that they would have disbanded after it was proven that writing the future didn't actually mean anything.
Their idea of fun is bagels? Yeah, I can see it.
Wait, so their entire religion isn't completely founded on made up bullshit?
Lloyd, why would you drink that?
Sora, you sound like Raven Queen.
Arin, that's robot-ist. In front of Zane? Really?
Y'all are in broad daylight. So much for being ninja.
Everybody judging Sora's graffiti, including Zane lmao
Hitting Zane in the head with a non-magic teapot lmfao
The Gong of Shattering is such a terrible name.
Poor Arin, lol
Oh, no. This is Arin's undoing. He's gonna hit the gong in order to try and get an elemental power, he'll turn evil, and then fight beside Raz. I'm calling it now!
I really enjoy Percival's character now. He's learning, he's helping out, and he seems to be kinder than when he was under Beatrix's rule. I think the rebellion was good for him.
The Master Writer was so scared, he didn't even try to run. Wow. Anyone will let the bad guys overthrow them, huh.
Euphrasia should seriously train with the other ninja; she's far too weak to be looking after a kingdom alone. (Yes, I know that they're making all the ninja really bad at fighting to make it look like the smoke ninja is way stronger than them, but still.)
It's not called the Blood Moon for anything good. Is it ever?
You're supposed to be sneaky; that glowing green spinjitzu is not sneaky in any way.
Why did Euphrasia have to say that? She could have looked relieved instead of saying that terribly said "Thank goodness your okay!"
Zane, that doesn't answer shit. A written language can't look evil. That's the dumbest shit I've ever heard.
Should Euphrasia even be here to save the Master Writer? She's using a crutch. Actually, does literally everybody have to be here for this? Bigger groups are hard to be stealthy with, and most of them aren't really being useful. They should've picked three to go in while everyone else stays behind as back up.
So Raz was the reason the worms turned evil last season. Hm...
I'm still not over it. Why is Ryu here? It should've been Lloyd, Arin, and Zane; Lloyd because he needs to confirm his visions, Arin because he's really foreshadowing something, and Zane to confirm the stupid language thing. Euphrasia would've been a good choice to bring if she wasn't using a crutch. Everyone else is just... here for no fucking reason except to just listen to the Master Writer. They're not really hiding, so any of the wolf-masked characters could easily find them. They didn't bother animating anyone except Lloyd and Arin going up the wall; they all just kinda teleported. This is bothering me so bad. (Not everyone has to be here to listen. The three that would've gone could've spread the information off screen so it didn't become too repetitive.)
See, I fucking told you. Now Lloyd's having another panic attack.
Why did the gong only affect the wolf-masks? Is the detail I missed that they have to be wearing the wolf mask to be affected by the gong? That seems dumb.
Lmao Kai
Woah, Zane glitching.
Episode 3: Beyond the Phantasm Cave
Wait, where did Kai's mech come from?
Of course when Lloyd asks for an answer, the source dragons come.
Wow, that source dragon from season 1 is so convincing, he convinced the other source dragons within seconds.
Why wouldn't Sora believe Lloyd after all of this?
Aw, Kai checking on Wyldfyre.
Nya, you trained under Wu for how long? You would know that, yes. He would bring you guys somewhere based on half-understood dreams.
Why is Zane always the one to keep an eye on the ship? Ugh.
"Now it sounds like the rotor sneezed!" Lmao Lloyd
It's sweet that Sora and Arin are talking to each other about fond memories, but... why? This came out of nowhere, and they just arrived at their destination. The writing here feels a little clunky.
Aw, now they all have grappling hooks.
Wow it sure took those snake things a while to come out to try and kill them.
Uh oh, Kai's powers not working very well...
Is this like the future telling ice thing in the original series?
Sora that is quite clearly static. How the hell did you think that was Kai?
Oh man, it's all their worst fears...
Oh, shit... The Jaya thing I've seen fanart for.
Poor fucking Nya... this is foreshadowing.
They have airjitzu. They could take the jump a lot more carefully.
Episode 4: Force From The East
Ooh, finally! Back to Cole.
God, Geo and Cole are so fruity.
That was a mouthful of exposition. They could've had a mini flashback of that moment from last season when Cole left and followed Wu. Sure, Geo didn't see that, but this show has never shied away from showing other character's perspectives during flashback sequences told by another character.
Geo being worried about Cole.
They're such an artistic family.
Bonzle is gonna make Geo panic.
Kai and Nya working together is sweet.
Me, too, Arin. Me, too.
The dragon speaking English instead of using telepathy or whatever.
"Should we... ask them what they want?" "Sure. What do you want?" *Gets obliterated* Lmao
Geo's so silly.
Finally; Cole comes to the rescue!
Bonzle's hiding something... I'm not sure what just yet. But she knew that they could leave when they previously couldn't.
Why does Zane have a Frohicky plushie? I'm so confused.
Why isn't Cole surprised to see Zane?
"- why do you have a frog-man-doll?" "It is a long and barely comprehensible story." I love them.
So that's why I thought the Glacier reunion was so... weird and terrible. They're in the middle of a chase scene.
I like how Zane tries to decipher what the problem is by examining his face... I'm so normal about this pairing, I swear.
I like how this episode is split into the stuff that Lloyd and crew were doing and Cole and family were doing, but I focus on just the Cole and family stuff. Mostly just Cole and Geo. They're family is really sweet and care about one another so deeply. Fritz and Spitz need more to do, though; they're kinda just... kids in the middle of everything, but they seem to be as strong and fast as the rest of their family, so... idk
Episode 5: The Spell at the Waterfall
Ah, the Zane and Frohicky side of the plot.
I understand what Frohicky is trying to accomplish, but Zane has already gone to him if he has a problem with the things he's doing. That's just the kind of guy Zane is. This tactic might have worked better with Kai or Lloyd.
Zane whacking the bad guy with the stupid fucking doll lmao
Why wouldn't Bonzle have told them earlier? Lmao what a mouthful.
Oh, so that kinda makes sense... kinda. For Bonzle to know when the could leave. But she would've sensed that opening a long time ago, and probably would have looked more worried throughout the beginning of last episode.
See? The entire Cole and Geo family is artistic.
Bonzle met Master Wu?!
Kai and Nya are so epic.
So, wait. i thought Wu would have taken her to meet the ninja, but I guess not?
Aw, Cole and Geo getting emotional about Bonzle's story.
"This reminds of the old days. Count me in." "That's what I'm talking about." Ugh... I love them too much...
So is one of the source dragons helping Raz? Or am I going crazy?
Of course, there are some critics I have. But I'm liking this so far, even with how often Lloyd was getting panicked and the amount of foreshadowing to future episodes I was getting. Still a little nervous about what's coming, though...

yk im getting a lil annoyed at eleceed cuz ok i am totally fine with guestellaxkayden getting together, and the fight vs confession misunderstanding is funny as hell. However, why the fuck does guestella think kayden is into jiyoung if shes literally like 19. A lot of ppl think shes 20/21 but i feel like if jiwoo was 16 at the start and is now 17, then having a 20/21 y/o as a love interest is weird as hell cuz no way would i wanna date a 17 y/o. I could see if it was a one-sided crush but they make jiyoung blush a lot too. Anyway, why would a literal 30 y/o wanna date a 19 y/oš or even a 20/21 y/o. Like no thanks lol, he (should) definitely see her as a kid.
But what iām annoyed at is that i feel like the current āguestella thinks kayden is into jiyoungā is just a filler continued miscommunication issue to drag out the kayden guestella arc, and it doesnt seem like much thought was put into it because of this plot hole created that messes up jiyoungās age into my opinion. Iād like to think the author is not a weirdo who is pairing a minor with a younger adult (aka 16 vs 20 or 17 vs 21, both are quite weird) and then also making guestella think itās realistic for a 20/21 vs 28/30 y/o pairing. (Obviously this is realistic irl in SOME cases, but overall i think its unnecessary to put that into this comic, as a 21 y/o i am at a very different point in life than someone that much older)
Tldr: i think author needs to make ages more clear, or at least make others treat jiyoung younger if theyre pairing her with jiwoo.
even if shes the head of shinwha and āhad to grow up too fast bc she has to protect everyone and is super powerful,ā theres gonna be at least someone (ergo, kayden and co) who would treat her as her age, because they are just as (probably more idk) powerful as her.
uhh after writing this im confusing myself even more, none of this is my hardcore unchanging belief its just my opinion after most recent chapters, but feel free to leave ur opinion so i can compare!!!

Artair's Ability Profile
A exhaustive but subject to change LONG list of Artair's abilities and how they affect him, with ooc notes (beware it's like six pages whoops):
These are sorted by the entity they derive from and their respective concept embodiment-- though I'll keep it to only what he is capable of currently, and the downfalls.
I will also say, the intention with Artair and his abilities as a celestial eldritch 'fae' thing is to write him undergoing the changes from being human to being Something Else while also making cool stories. He is capable of a lot that could make him overpowered eventually, but it is developing slowly (what he has now is after a decade) and I care more about him being just a guy and someone who is flawed and contending with the changes, rather than making him magically able to fix everything and 'the most powerful guy in the room'. I'm aiming more for 'looks weak but is actually strong when it comes to down to it, and can do great and terrible things for people he cares about... but also has no idea how to use any of it unless desperate enough, and often has it cause problems'.
I know it can be hard to play with someone if it feels like there's no chance for tension or they're too strong-- so despite the extensive list, I'll strive to keep it under control as best I can. And if you find me overstepping, PLEASE let me know and reel me in, I want this to be fun for everyone more than I care about anything else!
NOTE: I would like to state that the abilities that manifest are often tied to the person and who they are. Artair's manifestation process has been one of the most extensive due to his own self-inflicted desire to save everyone and throw himself into danger. Also, his super bad luck is a reflection of himself as well. He ended up with a lot of power as he's moved away from being human, and he keeps growing within those Embodiments as he 'furthers his potential'.
The abilities themselves did not and do not force him to have the personality he does; his personality influenced which would manifest, due to him embodying the concept or already having some connection to it or a thought process that connects to it. This is true for most all other humans of my world, should they accidentally start the process as well.
+=[====>
Sirius [Vitality, Altruism]:
Artair heals faster than humans do. Unless extensive enough, most wounds will heal without a scar. He can also use healing abilities that close injuries for whoever he uses them on, even to the extent of revival from death if he performs it fast enough, though not without consequence. His abilities within the altruism domain are minimal currently, mostly provision of an aura of comfort and relief from a degree of pain. If Artair is emotionally falling apart or spirals far enough, some of his scars and old injuries are liable to reopen on their own and bleed. Especially if he shifts into an alternate form due to instability or channeling too much energy. For now, when he preforms any kind of healing, he transfers the injury on to himself instead, healing his target and placing the harm as it is or worse on himself in a trade. He could channel the harm to someone else, but he just ---won't. He doesn't know how nor would he want to. Sometimes, his desire to comfort overwrites other things, and he acts on impulse in a way meant to comfort without being fully aware why he's feels the urge. He does not have to act on it, but usually he will because he feels useful and like he is doing something right when he makes others feel better in some way. Within the blend of Vitality and The End, Artair is unable to die. Wounds are painful, but he isn't affected by them like he used to be, and if he does die, he comes back shortly after. There does not seem to be a limit on how much he can die. NOTE: This ability is one that can affect other muses as part of the healing nature. I will do my best to always ask for consent before allowing Artair to do as such and limit him in that regard as needed, depending on the wishes and comfort of the rp partner. Can be weakened to some pain relief instead of true healing, or not utilized in thread.
Nimbus [Storm -> Lightning/Water/Wind]:
Stormcalling. Artair has an easier time channeling electric abilities when using his spellweaving. He has essentially become a lethal taser before, on accident, when in desperate need to survive, especially when pinned or held down by something intending harm. Sometimes, when casting spellwork, a storm will form and his hair will move like a breeze is ruffling it, and water will begin to pool around him as a central point. His emotional state can effect the weather, making it rain. Conversely---- his emotional state effects his ability. He has been in so much duress that he summoned lightning storms to the area he is in, causing extensive damage. He has also accidentally electrocuted friends by being touched when emotionally unstable, though not to any lethal degree. He now has an aversion to being touched when upset, and will actively try to push away others or escape by leaving, if possible. Often if he's upset enough to start sparking, he realizes what's happening, and in doing so stresses himself to a point of becoming more dangerous for everyone around him.
Eden [Plants, Knowledge]:
Artair remembers almost everything he learns. He basically has a photographic memory, and learns skills and knowledge unnaturally fast. This includes things such as hobbies and crafts, languages, the structure and components of devices, and athletic positions or endeavors. In his alternate form, he can see from the perspective of every eye that manifests around him. With plants, sometimes his spellwork summons flowers and plants at his feet. He feels at home in the woods or forests, connected to them deeply, and almost never gets lost. He always seems to find what he needs within them. He has a deep love of plants, and the ones he nurtures in his garden always seem to thrive. However, Artair finds himself uncomfortable if he's away from vegetation too long, though he can't explain the discomfort he feels. He also finds himself taken by wanderlust often, a desire to be in the deep wilds, and to find new types of plant life to cultivate (likely an overlap between plants and knowledge for himself). And with knowledge, while he learns fast, he often is compelled to seek new knowledge and Understand something. He feels under-stimulated if he's not doing something, usually trying to resolve something or solve an issue or learn something new. If he learns about something he doesn't know, he also feels the need to know more about it, and will either do research or ask questions until he knows enough to sate that innate desire. He can control it, but it's unpleasant resisting, especially when he's always been curious by nature about things he didn't understand. He has the capacity to get lost in the knowledge he's cultivating and lose time, or to lose himself to seeking it so much so that he oversteps. He also struggles with having so many perceptions when he does see out of the eyes he can manifest.
Null [Creation, Possibilities]:
This one has not made much impact at all, except when his form has changed. Breaking into pieces and coming back together and fragmenting into a fractal glitching mess as he's lost to past, present, future and it warps him in reality, which manifests itself as an eldritch change to his body. He also in that form can vaguely see the branching paths of the future, of others' futures, but he doesn't understand them and they overwhelm him instead of being anything helpful, and it kind of isn't anything he can even focus on with everything else from all other Embodiments hitting him at once in that form. Has the potential to end up putting himself in a horrific time-loop, if the right factors line up. [Thread idea?] Also the potential for changing shape, especially with his other form's transient nature, but he hardly has the idea of how to look human again when the deepest part of him is now all too aware he isn't.
Zephyr [Emotions, Magic Energy/Spirits]:
NOTE: It's hard to find a singular word that encompasses what I mean with Magical Energy and Spirits/Ghosts. I thought about using Mana given the Polynesian roots of it as a concept are close, but with limited knowledge, I didn't want to misrepresent anything, since it's likely not a perfect 1 to 1. I will be continuing to think of a term to use, since I'm trying to condense the embodiment to one word when possible.
What it is meant to mean is a connection to the concept of Magic itself as an essence and source of energy connecting all things living or otherwise. The idea for how the world works I have is that there is like a second overlapping layer, a thin gossamer veil between the physical world and one created from and filled with magical energy. This well of magic passes through ley-lines like veins or roots and overlap with one another, and spread magic out from there like capillaries so everywhere teems with it. This concept includes spirits as well as ghosts, since without physical bodies they are composed of life-force without a vessel, and need energy to continue existing. They kind of become part of energy by proxy. (link to a post detailing these two beings to a degree).
These are two of the most developed Embodiments Artair has connection to.
When it comes to Energy and Ghosts/Spirits, Artair has a surplus of energy, which is very --- for lack of a better word, magically delicious. Like a raw current. Almost like he himself is a major ley line trapped in a human body, in a sense. It's in his aura, his blood, every cell and atom of his body. It doesn't do much for him, and honestly is part of the reason spellcasting is so hard on him, but also, due to the damage he took to his soul from an event-- he leaks that energy out in the air around him like a bleeding wound of energy.
He has a charm to prevent things from sensing this leaking energy that functions as a glamour, which keeps most strong entities that might sense him from noticing unless they inspect his aura or person too closely-- he still has to sometimes deal with minor spirits hoping to take some, since they give more attention to individuals, but those are easy to wave away. He can see them, regardless if they want to be seen, in their death state or their natural form, due to being linked intrinsically to energy and them being a manifestation of such, given it acts almost as a life-force for them. He is incredibly spiritually intertwined and attuned.
This can manifest within his senses as well. He can see spirits or other beings that are not physical, things like souls and the energy they exhibit. He can also hear spirits even if no one else can, when they speak, which is helpful when they do not have the energy to show or their body is in such a state that speaking would be impossible if they were truly corporeal. He can also smell and taste souls and spirits, in the sense that each one has a distinct 'aura' with equally distinct feelings or scents or 'vibes' which he can pick up on. These often have some kind of taste, touch, smell, and feeling to them. This affects both supernatural and the living, though it's more attuned with incoporeal creatures, since their soul and energy is more exposed. This extrasensory ability also makes him particularly good at reading the aura and energy of spaces as well, usually able to feel where someone died and the echoes of their emotions in that space, as well as find bodies if a ghost is tethered to it. He's also able to sense emotional and energy based auras, which can translate to picking up the vibes or feelings of a place that has more than average, including places that are cursed or haunted, places where strong emotional feelings were felt in excess (a hospital and the loss and death is a very difficult place for him to visit where he's surrounded by the spirits, but even just the place themselves feel so grief-stricken and lonely and angry and scared and-- of death). This can extend to people as well, if they were to be possessed, though unless he already knows you as a person, the overlap and surpression of a soul might not be inherently obvious to him do to being unfamiliar with the soul in question, unless the host is resisting enough to feel like a separate entity to his senses.
Sometimes, Artair will get caught unawares or the entity will be strong or desperate enough, or he will allow it-- and in those cases, an entity not strong enough to appear physically can feed on the energies he emanates, and connect to him. This ends up being overlap between emotion and energy, where spirits tap into him and he-- channels them, in a medium sense. This tends to mean he remembers and sees what happened to them, and they sap his energy, getting enough strength to manifest and communicate. Unfortunately for him, this often leads to reliving the ghost's experience as if he was undergoing it himself.
The fracture to his core and the leaking energy also mean that when someone casts some magical effect on him, it works more effectively, and more intensely on him. This can be a problem, especially since that means using a spell directly on himself is risky as well. He tends to use objects to hold a spell instead. One of the last times he used a spell on himself out of lack of choice, he turned into a merperson, which was meant to last for ten minutes-- and he didn't grow legs for days, and continued growing scales for weeks after.
He is also dangerously vulnerable to possession by entities, which is another reason for the charm's existence.
For the Emotional Embodiment, Artair can pick up others' emotional states. He can feel their emotions as if they were his own, or as sensations. He can kind of get a sense of intentions from others when he's around them, though he still struggles to know exactly what he's feeling unless it's something obvious enough. In this vein, he can also feel pain that others are feeling, emotional or physical.
Overlapping a little with energy again, He can also pick up auras and vibes of people and places and things. A place where bad things happened or something malicious is lurking will feel dangerous and set off silent alarms for him, due to the blend of energy and emotion. He can feel the feelings that infect the air. If he picked up on a memory inside an object, he could tell if it's a warm and soft recollection-- and tapping into its energy, he may be able to experience it himself in a similar way to channeling entities. He may pick up the feelings a ghost is bound in by their presence. He also can pick up a general aura from a person, kind of an imprint of how others feel about them and their own nature-- though I like leaving that to the other mun what their muse would feel like to him as a presence if they want to have it be a thing.
Emotions can also be dangerous. Artair tends to pick up everything, even things people don't want him to feel. And if there's too many people around him, he can get overwhelmed easily by the volume of thoughts and feelings and intentions that each individual brings to him. He's like a radio receiver without any control to direct it into different channels. it's all at once, overlapping. Artair is used to the never-ending noise of everyone, but sometimes it is too much. And sometimes it is hard to tell where he begins and someone else ends, what's real, what's his, and what's just him feeling someone else's emotions.
The other issue is that it goes both ways. while most of the time Artair is the recipient of others' emotions and feelings, if he feels something too deeply, he can accidentally-- reflect that feeling, onto everyone around him. It has only happened once, where he was so heartbroken by the loss of someone that his heartbreak affected everyone in the building and made them grieve with him. He is terrified of that continuing to happen, or controlling someone else. Sometimes, he's afraid of any romantic entanglement, due to the worry that he is somehow reflecting his own affections on them.
Another thing he has done once is....turn all the emotions off. Once when too overwhelmed, he willed himself to feel nothing- and he did. It was almost an overlap of emotions and the void, where he was nothing. It was not a state he enjoyed being in, because it was cold, and empty. He would rather be an empath and help others how he can.
Alistair/Aria [The End, Misfortune {Luck?}, Void]:
This one has hardly manifested in most ways. The biggest is that perhaps in overlap with Vitality, The End will not let him die. At least, not permanently. Coming back and pressing onwards are definitely suffering in their own right; he will just die until he won't. He does have a strong belief that he ruins everything he touches, not entirely unfounded in some regards, and in moments of duress he can cause things to disassemble, architecture to suffer structural damage and crack and crumble, or plants around him to wither and rot. Beings can sometimes feel the effects as a seeping weakness and draining sensation. The End is death and decay of all things, and he effects them in equal measure in that mindset.
Disaster and Misfortune has also manifested, but it does so as if a punishment for Artair for himself: he has abysmal luck, and often bad things happen to him. He has underwent more horrors in his life than many, and has been killed, hunted, tortured, almost eaten, worse. He almost seems to want it now, to be the one carrying all misfortune. Seems to overlap with altruism in his extreme need to protect all others from any harm, and his spiraling if he fails to do so.
The void has only manifested in feeling a empty hollow inside of himself, where due to past harm he has lost pieces of the core of himself. It is also the realization, deep down, that he can do nothing to save anyone, despite any and all efforts. He's doomed to be alone, to be empty, and to lose everything. Especially due to immortality.
The features of Artair that manifest these Embodiments in his other form are visible ribs in his chest, and dark ichor pouring from his body in places, especially where his heart should be, as well as pieces of him breaking off, though that last could also be attributed to possibility as well.
Further Abilities:
Artair can see in the dark. If anyone looks closely, his eyes have a faint glow, and reflect almost like a cat's. Very Cryptic Energy.
When Artair screams, it has a haunting melodic effect. It tends to show cause bad omens and signs of bad luck in the area affected, including cracking mirrors and glass. Anyone who hears it will feel like they are being cut or bruised over their body and their head will ache within an oppressive atmosphere. It ends the moment Artair stops screaming and doesn't leave an lasting physical effects. (Artair is part Banshee on his mother's side. His wail will not kill or mark for death but it still has negative effects)
Artair's singing voice is unnaturally good. He can sing almost any pitch but he leans towards haunting melodic tones that might be unnerving as they are enrapturing for some. He is part siren on his mother's side as well, so his voice is magic and mildly enchanting, but not captivating to the same degree. More likely if you end up listening you might lose track of how long for and find his voice nice to listen to. He can also can hold his breath longer than usual and was a natural swimmer when he was learning.
Artair is immortal. He has not aged since his manifestation began (when he was 22 and lost his left arm). He does not need to eat or sleep as much as a human does; he is unsure if he needs to at all.
Artair has the capacity for weaving spells via Magic. He can tap into almost any kind, though he often suffers whiplash. when he channels the energy through himself to conform it to his intent, the core of his being it would be channeled through is damaged extensively. Between this and the level of strength he has, it tends to have horrific whiplash for him, often damaging his body or weakening him when he casts something strong enough. He can counteract this some, by using materials, often with an aligning meaning to his intent to take some of the brunt and strain.
Artair has eye markings on his body, each one manifesting every time he changes. When in his other form, eyes can be seen through the darker underside of his hair, and floating around him as markings, or in dark areas on his body. He can see through them, when in his other form. As a person, they just mark his manifestation and seem to be a part of his transformation. Sometimes when he's upset and worked up enough, they can start appearing in the air around him. His actual eyes, specifically the iris of his left eye, fractures into pieces when he turns into Something Else.
Artair has wings. While he seems to have some ability to control where they manifest on his body and what kind of wings they are, the colors seem to stay the same. Black feathery wings with a sunset gradient on the inside seem to be the most prevalent. His emotional state seems to conjure them and determine the number and location, depending on what his desire is for. When stressed enough, they will manifest, and likely be to hide himself, or escape, if he can. They also manifest when he is utilizing powerful enough magic. He has not figured out how to summon them at will. NOTE: There are faint eyes on his wings, on the outer primaries. The type of wing that manifests can also vary, between types (elliptical, soaring, etc.) He mostly summons feathered wings similar to a crow's. Moth or Butterfly wings are also possible, with similar coloration. He has wing tattoos along his back and under his pecs, forming into top surgery scars.
He has sharp teeth now, and his blood is red with a gold glimmer. The closer he is to manifesting or changing, the more gold it is. When it dries, it seems to evaporate, but leaves behind a reflective rainbow oil-film interference effect where it had spilled.
Artair can turn into--- Something Else. It's only happened when he's been in too horrible a situation or he's tapped too deep into himself, but he knows he's capable of it now. However, he has no idea how it happened or why or what he is. It's just some fucked up version of him that scares him just as much as he assumes it would terrify anyone else. He thought he was human for the longest time, so this change is hard, because he has no idea how to navigate it, or what he is. Maybe with time he'll come to see it as part of him and embrace it, but for now it is a scary unknown.

first months as a (substitute/supportive) teacher - some thoughts (an incomplete list)
autumn holidays start on friday, so I thought I'd write down some thoughts on my experience of the last 2-ish months. I definitely have some growing and learning to do, it shows that I'm only half-trained for this
surprisingly I enjoy working with the smallest (grade 1/2) the most. it's partially that (unless they need me for substitute lessons) I spend the most time in that class and have gotten to know the pupils quite well. I know the routines of the class and I got into a great rhythm with the main teacher
the pupils are opening up a lot more about their interests and their lives, striking up conversations with me when they see me in the yard during break. I'm glad that I don't seem like a stranger to them anymore!
substitute lessons without tasks prepared by the teacher are more draining than I expected them to be. I also lack skills for coming up with substitute lessons for my subjects (let alone other subjects) bc I have very little experience of what they're already supposed to know/be able to do. especially in english lessons it's hard to find an appropriate level
being the only visibly and out trans nonbinary teacher is exhausting. I'm looking forward to the day when I've given substitute lessons in every class so I can stop explaining myself. I don't mind explaining queer topics to children and it's important to have those conversations but I'm the only one having them bc I have to, bc my genderqueer appearance raises questions and if it doesn't introducing myself as mr./mx. does.
related to that I'm excited to work with another colleague on a diversity concept for the school that focuses on queerness. our main objective will be to raise awareness in teachers and students
I still struggle to find an appropriate mix between being strict and being fun. with some classes it works well, with others I need to be stricter than I'd like to be, with others I need to ease off a bit.
schools are incredibly gendered spaces and while I obviously knew that it still caught me off guard (and tbh I think it's having an influence on my habits which I Don't Like At All). everything is very clearly divided into boys and girls. I'm generally good with gender neutral language, but compared to my first weeks I jump to use gendered terms much quicker now (example: saying "the girl in the red jumper" instead of a neutral version when I don't know their names yet), including when I talk about myself which feels weird
good quality sleep is so important. being a teacher is super demanding, especially in some more chaotic classes and showing up with only a few hours of sleep is Not It
being able to remember names really well really fast is a super power and I'm grateful I can do that every time I meet a new class for a substitute lesson. the kids are impressed (teachers too), but most importantly it creates a different atmosphere in the classroom. (it's also easier to remind them of class rules when they need it)
so far, the past months have confirmed what I've been thinking for a while: teaching is something I could do, but I'm less sure if it's what I want to do in the long run. so even though I wasn't able to start deaf studies this winter I'm sticking to my plan: try out deaf studies for a year (starting next autumn) and work on the side, then decide if a) I keep going like that to do the full deaf studies b.a. b) I pause deaf studies to do my teacher training and then evaluate again or c) I do my teacher training and pick up uni classes for fun after
#I think there would be more thoughts if I weren't so tired#if you read all of that and are still reading this thank you and I love you and please have some water#mine#bente rambles#teachblr#studyblr#uniblr#knife gang

Where I am: Page 614 of 719. Violet has just made the garrisons work but apparently something is missing. Xaden reads minds. Next chapters we'll talk to General Melgren.
What I think so far: I didn't like the book very much in general, but now this last part is becoming more interesting.
Positive points:
I'm enjoying learning more about magic and I liked the introduction of the rune thing! I like everything magical!
I like that we get to talk to Melgren, he and his giant dragon seem like super interesting characters. Imagine having the biggest dragon in the kingdom and the ability to see the future?! I mean, I'd read a book about him.
The action is starting to ramp up a bit more, which thank the gods, because this book is a bit fast-paced but at the same time very mini quests that don't really affect the plot that much!
I like the fact that we're redeeming Cat. Evil ex-girlfriend is such a lazy trope and honestly kinda sexist... just saying.
Dain is growing on me and I'm getting a bit on his side I think. I mean it wasn't really his fault. His dad asked him to see a memory of Violet and tell him which ok is horrible and intrusive and all that but then saying it was his fault that his dad tried (and in Liam's case succeeded) to kill them, I mean not really his fault.
Negative points:
Xaden reads minds... Okay, I thought it was a bit out of the blue, but okay, moving on
Xaden and Violet's relationship didn't convince me that much in this book. Maybe because they didn't spend much time together during the book??
Violet is beginning to be too special for me. She's the best rider, she's the best scriber even though she's not a scriber, she's the smartest, she's the most powerful, two ultra special dragons chose her, she's the best at runes, she's the best at magic, she's fast... like I get it, eye roll, is bordering on Mary Sue for me honestly.
Stars:āā(maybe 2.5)
Predictions: I have a feeling something is going to happen to her mum, I hope her mum finds out Brannon is alive. I feel sorry for her!
After friendly pushback about forgiving Dain: Nah, Dain's okay with me, he said he said goodbye to her because he finally realised that she was choosing Xaden over him and that their friendship was going to end and the book implies that this is the truth.
As for his father, meh, I think it was a bit like Xaden blaming himself for telling Violet, Violet blaming herself for trusting Dain and him reading her the memoirs, and Dain blaming himself for reading the memoirs and telling his father.
Basically, the only thing that separates Dain's guilt from Violet's guilt (they both check up on someone they shouldn't have) is that Dain has the extra step of reading someone's memories without prompting, which is horrible and quite intrusive. But neither of them knew what it meant. Like this chain from tell this to tell that was just the word "Abernathy" (it's not actually that word but I canāt remember the correct one... but it starts with A and has a y). Aetos dad was the only one in this chain who knew that this word meant that the marked ones were probably betraying the country because it was a border town and they didn't have authorisation to be there. Violet and Dain had little idea what secret they were guarding.
That's why I think he's to blame for reading memories without authorisation, but not for Liam's death (and that of the other girl).
After friendly pushback about Violet being a Mary Sue: Yes, Cat is the best at runes in the whole class, but Violet is the best at runes from Navarre.
Yes, it's true, she does have some major weaknesses like... She has to ask for help for some, and I emphasise some, of the multiple dead languages she can read.
It's just that even her supposed physical weakness kind of disappears in this book, like it's still mentioned sometimes that she needs to strap up her joints but she doesn't seem to have any other problems. She's beaten I don't know how many opponents without having to poison them.
Now in the first book, but even more so in the second, Violet doesn't need anyone, except from an emotional point of view. If everyone disappears, she can still do 90% of the story. She discovers everything, she has the most power. None of the others discover anything essential and the few times they're needed (like Aaric to open the files with royal blood or Jesinia to translate) they're always crutches because the whole plan was devised by Violet and they were called in by her and you get the feeling that if it wasn't for them it would be anyone else. I don't like it very much and once again it's an easy fix, just make her a bad scribe or a bad rider.

I feel like Wally and Barry superspeed stress clean/organizing when they don't want to deal with anyone or are avoiding a situation. Kinda like how speedsters go into Flash Time or whatever it's called when they're panicking or trying to hide their feelings from their friends.
I see it being similar to the Young Justice comics (at least I think it was YJ, but correct me if I'm wrong) where Bart went into Flash Time ignored the other members of the Core Four when they came to see him, and was just... reading all the books in the library. Like my dude was so fast, they couldn't see him. You can get a better understanding of it from this post by @givemewallywestorgivemedeath where they have specific comic panels showing just how bad speedsters are at healthy coping.
Like imagine for a second that they do this. Barry Allen, at least my understanding of him which is partially based off a lot of headcanons (and projection but shush), is fairly organized. I think back to one of the animated comics (which might not be canon, I'm not sure but I liked the story) from a couple years ago, where he'd just come back to his job as a forensic scientist and was shoved into the archives for a while to organize everything. He seemed happy doing it, even using a little superspeed to hurry along the process. And I feel like a forensic scientist has to be somewhat organized and clean if they want to keep all the facts of a crime straight. I know it's a fandom (I think) interpretation that Barry takes cases when he's stressed to keep his mind off things, but imgaine him, when he's alone in the house and can't rant to Iris for whatever reason, he just goes full malewife mode and obsessively does a deep clean of the house, going as far as to reorganize the plates and glasses in the cupboards and taking meticulous care that it looks comepletly imacculate. Once he's done, he's probably hungry so he cooks himself a meal. He then has to put everything back in exactly the same way. Then he looks at the time, and knows Iris should be home soon, and speedruns setting up a romantic little date for the two of them.
And then Wally. There is no doubt in my mind that the man compartmentalizes everything. In the comics I don't think he's all that neurotic, but I still feel like everything has a place in his mind, however odd it might be. Especially when he was younger with the fab five. There was home, where he had to be quiet and obedient or else fear for his safety at the hands of his father, and his "job," if you can call it that, where he's a quippy extroverted kid. When he grows up, I think it starts applying more to time periods in his life than aspects of his present life. Most of it would be due to the overlap between his personal and superhero life, so it would be near impossible to seperate the two at this point. I mean, the guy works for his Justice League coworker when their both civilians, and one of his best friends, who used to be a super villian, works in the same building. Instead of a here and there situation, it would be a before and after. Before and after he got his powers, before and after he met Linda, before and after escaping the speedforce, and so on.
This might just be me projecting, but sometimes organizing or cleaning in one area of my life, can help make sure I can seperate everything evenly (for lack of a better word), and I can definetly see Wally doing the same, happening mostly before he got trapped in the speedforce when it was there vs here, but occasionally now when he gets overwhelmed. Sometimes when he stayed with the titans, they'd walk into the kitchen to see it comepletely reorganized. Sometimes Barry or Iris would visit him and see his room looking like it was a memorial rather than a 14-year-old's room that was actively lived in. As an adult he reorganizes and painstakingly cleans everything. Kids left their toys out? What are you talking about, they're neatly put in the bins like they should be. Stains on some the the clothes? Might as well do all the laundry. Oh, and don't forget to perfectly fold, match, and put them all away. Finished some leftovers and needs to clean the tupperware? No problem, while he's at it, he'll match the lids by size and reorganize the plates and bowls to save more room. Sometimes he completely changes the wat something is normally put away and leaves detailed notes to everyone who might, who just maybe, might have the slimmest possibility of being affected, telling them where he put everything.
Are they legible? Perhaps, on a good day. Probably not. It entirely depends on how he decided to write said notes. Did he decide to bullet point everything, skipping lines for each new point for visibility, or did he decide to write it like a fanfiction author who has never heard of an enter key? Does he use proper punctuation and grammar, or does he write like a seven year old during English? Is the handwriting even readable or is it just chickenscratch that only a pharmascist can read? Who knows? Wally West does what the vibes demand, and right now the vibes demand dyslexics to suffer! Or that a speedster halfway across the world responding to his stress and just perked up like a cat who has been awoken from a nap? Who knows? Not him! It's probably fine.
It was, in fact, not fine, as Linda broke into her own house instead of using her keys and speed talked at Wally to make sure her husband was okay. She then smacks him upside the head for making her worry so much.

Tobacco Beetle AU
This is background for the main hero, her friends, and potential future friends. Villains will have to be a separate post because this is already very very long.
Yay spidersona world building!!
Where:
This takes place in Richsten, a southern city with a port in Virginia. The city is not big, nor does it really matter to most people. New York is where most of the superheroes are, like the Avengers, and where many of the major crime organizations, like Hydra, put their focus. Not many look to Richsten. And that suits people in the city just fine.Ā
The city once was a hub for tobacco markets and things like cigarette rolling, with tobacco fields still lying just outside of the city. The smell of tobacco still fills the city, with its lingering smell reminding of the past that still touches the city. The movements of those markets out of the city and the slow movement away of the rolling factories has led to a slow decline of the city, leaving it poorer than it once was.Ā
Its age also leaves it haunted, full of ghosts. Just like the smell of tobacco, spirits linger throughout the city, reminders of the past that touch everything.Ā
Many villains are based off of TSSMās versions with some changes cause spidersona au lol
Martha Anne Taylor
Name: Martha Anne Taylor
CB Radio handle: Ginger Snap
Aka: The Dynamic Tobacco Beetle āBaccyā
Powers: Climbing walls, super strength, enhanced senses, immunity to certain toxins, can digest less nutritious food (like rotten food) with no problem, good at riding horses
Toolkit: rope shooters; designed after books she found in the library on grappling hooks. Shes not a brilliant scientist or engineer, but she can copy and twist. And she does her best. But they are not always operational to the highest standard. A lot of the times, she just jumps and climbs it it seems like she can get where she needs to without swinging
ginger cinnamon molasses cookies to offer villains.Ā
Brown leather armor, made by her own hand from bits of leather she has hoarded over the years from the stable her grandfather runs.
Weakness: Cold!! She gets slower and slower as she gets colder. at 39.2 Fahrenheit (4 Ā°C) she passes out. she learns to layer pretty fast.Ā
Homemade Biscuits and iced sweet tea. Offer those and she'll be distracted enough for you to go commit crimes
Age: 16ish
Height: 5 foot
Backstory: Martha has been living with her maternal grandparents since forever. The rest of her family has been chipped away over the years. Her mom died at childbirth, her dad died in a hurricane with her paternal grandparents when she was three.Ā
She is a horse loving history nerd who might be just slightly too obsessed with the American Revolution. And with history in general. She knows so much about the history of the city and feels like it is a part of her bones.
She ends up at an exposĆ© for Agrioscorp (oscorp of this world). They were developing pesticides to use against crop pests. Martha is there for a school project about crops and then she is bitten by a tobacco beetle (Lasioderma serricorne) that the pesticide was supposed to murder, but instead altered its genes and made it able to give powers through a bite. It gets one bite and dies. She doesnt know what to do with the powers at first. Shes never really thought shed do much, content to grow up like her grandparents and take over their carriage business when she is old enough too. Sheās not even really planning on college. She's not dumb, or unmotivated, just content with her lot in life. And then, two weeks after finding out she has powers, her Grandmother takes her on a surprise trip to New York to see the museums there. And then they end up in an attack. Some robbers. Human. Desperate. Her grandmother keeps her pushed back, unable to do anything. Some heroes burst in and the robbers, startled and scared of what is going to happen to them start firing wildly. Those the robber who shot her grandmother is felled by friendly fire and the other robbers are taken up by the cops and heroes.
Martha decides to become a hero. She doesnt want people to die like her grandmother had. But she also doesnt want to inspire fear. She grew up watching too much A-team, Red Dawn and Smokey and the Bandit to feel like police and government are the only paths to justice. So she suits up and heads out. She figures out how to fight, but more importantly to her, she figures out how to talk. To coax and to listen. She wears her opponents down until they are willing to talk and then she hauls them off to fill them with food at local bbq and breakfast places. She hoards all of her allowance to afford this. And some of those local business band together to create a small fund and find jobs willing to hire ex-cons. She listens to what the criminals have to say, their stories and their troubles, and tries to get them to places willing to help. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn't. A lot of people think that sheās just being taken advantage of. And she's fine with that. Life is hard enough without her adding to it. Some people just need a little mercy and grace.Ā
And so her career begins!

Easily possessed. But the ghosts cant do much other than talk before she passes out and they are expelled.Ā
Backstory: Ella was born sickly. Often her stomach does not take in all the nutrients and calories of food. And so she stays relatively weak. She is forced to be homeschooled, but not by her parents. She has tutors and often is ignored by her mother and father. She was lonely till a chance meeting with martha (before martha had powers). Martha starts helping her sneak out and hauls her around the city.
She loves myths and the supernatural and has dedicated much of her time to learning about them. She becomes the go to expert on ghosts in the group once Martha and Quentin realize just how haunted the city is.

He never wanted to leave New York. his mom left his dad when he was 5 and his dad died when he was 11. He was left with Phineas Mason (tinkerer) due to the man being life time friends with his dad. Phineas makes weapons for the underground and Quentin learned a lot of his coding and building knowledge from him or by working on his gear. He loves Phineas but they get into fights at times. One of the biggest fights was Phineasā decision to move them away from New York. That argument meant a long bout of silent treatment leading up to the move. But eventually, Quentin came around, understanding that there were too many heroes in New York for them to safely stay and continue to not be on the radar. And he doesnt love the idea of Phineas being killed or taken from him.
He ends up at the same high school as Martha and he feels like a fish out of water. They become friends as she helps him adjust and he starts to appreciate the city. He makes her a CB radio because she does not have a cell phone. He also becomes friends with Gywnn and Ella. He gets into a loud fight publicly against Norman Osborn for trying to keep Ella inside all the time. He is not allowed to visit.Ā
He ends up becoming a super villain, not out of any real anger or anything, but because he feels like the city needs one. It has a hero, doesnt it? Heroes need villains.Ā
He becomes friends with Baccy after his first defeat when he is dragged to a BBQ place: Woofsters. He helps her fight other villains when he feels like she needs it. He claims its to keep the name of the number one villain of the city. But he actually does it because he is besties with her and kinda doesnt want her to die.
Potential future friends!:
Name: Jackson 'Montana' Brice
Aka: tbd but leaning towards Tremors.Ā
Powers: None. But he is super willful.Ā
Toolkit: Makes his own shocker costume using a vague knowledge of mechanic from having to fix cars and guns growing up. It is a very very cobbled together piece of tech
Age: 19
Height: 5ā 6ā
Weakness: always hungry and is a bit on the weaker side than is healthy for his age. He also will do anything for his kids. Whatever sacrifice or thing that must be done he will do.
Backstory: Raised in the Brice family, a family of mercs who travel about and take jobs. Threatening and offing people. But mostly threatening. They have a right of passage to adulthood and being allowed to take jobs alone, typically taken at the age of 18. He did it at 15. And survived it. Before this point, he traveled the country and world with his dad.Ā
At 15 he enters the world alone with some lingering support from his family. At 17 he takes in a 16 year old Ox. The kid is bigger than him, but had been stuck in fight rings. He settles down in Richsten to provide some stability and let Ox get schooling. He ends up taking in a 14-year-old Dan who has been left on the streets.Ā
Montana feels responsible for these two like a father. Or older brother. Depends on the moment. They all work together as enforcers, taking on jobs for the big man. But he also does extra work, security for concerts, odd jobs around town, anything to get a little more money. And he skips meals when his kids arent around to save more. He keeps them afloat by the skin of his teeth and pure stubbornness.
He becomes friends with Quentin when Quentin cuts him a deal to fix a calculator for cheaper. He and Quentin like similar music and Montana helps him get into shows that Montana is security for. Quentin is happy to give more deals and over time its friendship. Close friendship.
And so when he ripped apart an RC car to get a lot of the components for his villain persona and it glitches after the first few times out, he comes to quentin. Who helps make it better after extracting a promise. No killing. And Montana is happy to agree.
Name: Ox Brice
Aka: tbd but Ox??? maybe
Powers: none. But is a good fighter
Toolkit: really good at just powering through pain. Good at watching and reading people.
Age: 18
Height: 5ā 11ā
Weakness: His family.
Backstory: Ox was abandoned young at an orphanage. An orphanage that kept the lights on by selling kids to fight rings. He was not well-loved by the staff and so when he was old enough to throw a punch he was sold. He learned quickly to keep his head down and mouth shut. He meets Montana when he is 16 when Montana is breaking up the ring on his own to get some other persons lost son. And he sees his chance and he helps Montana destroy the ring. Montana offers him a family. And Ox takes the chance presented to him.
Name: Dan Brice
CB Radio handle: Silver Tongued Devil
Aka: tbd maybe bulletā¦. idk
Powers: none. But!! Quick study and hyper good memory. This works both for and against him
Toolkit: mixed fighter. Spent a lot of time figuring out any fighting style he saw. Also good at info gathering
Age: 16
Height: 5 foot
Weakness: easy to egg into having a fight. Especially if the other Enforcers are insulted.Ā
Backstory: he grew up in a house with three other kids and a mom that didn't want him. His dad was a trucker and would let him ride along during summers. He loved those long hauls that took him away from angry slaps and digging words. He spent most of the rest of the time out of the house, learning as many different fight styles that he can to keep himself safe at school at the very least.
That all ends when his father is killed in a supervillain attack while trucking when Dan is 14. His mom packs him into a car and drops him in the middle of Richsten, telling him that he reminds her too much of his father and that she cannot stand for him to stay in her house. And he wanders the streets for a little bit until Montana finds him fighting off some guy tring to steal the little bit of money he has.
Starts talking to Martha and friends over cb radio for homework help and eventually becomes friends with them at school.

#shining force#shining series#shining force data collection#hilarious that i found this before actually going to hunt for all the beep megadrives#anyway i love that their were a bit more humorous in this one#also love how max's retreat is portrayed as a leader skill like. bestie that's a spell. that's like forceful#max sinking in the castle of the ancients: man i'm so glad i learned egress. those hotheads would rather die here than let me go#adam right behind him: that's true. i'm glad you've found such great friends though master#max: ...#max: ...how are you still here?#adam whose only idea of leaving max involve getting blown up to death: ? i don't understand the question master#anyway. losing it at the disrespect for luke also#and yes i know the last world book said he doesn't like fighting no one knows what's going on with this guy i guess#everyone is too busy giving diane the most epic entries ever which is far more important#most valuable thing here though is. i think that's the first time bleu and karin's ship is teased? legit surprised to see that#i thought it was a thing decided on the fly for the novel just because Story Gotta Have Romance

ohhh my favourite part of ask games, (harmless) petty fandom drama. i know these are a lot so ofc feel free to pick and choose but im nosy and love gossip so if you feel like it *eyes emoji*:
1 2 (just for the drama lol) 6 (feel free to ignore i understand u completely but i live for drama lol) 7 (MORE) 8 12 (<3) 16 (*eyes emoji*) 21 22 (for some final positivity)
1 - the character everyone gets wrong cedric the sorcerer. he deserves respect as a person, and the royal family was wrong to deny him that, but he does little to earn respect as royal sorcerer. 'oh he has such a good and relatable arc' whup tee doo his grand finale was... *checks notes* doing his job correctly. the one he's been training for his whole life. color me unimpressed by a character that should have either left that job YEARS ago or put a little effort into anticipating what he'd be asked to do and practicing instead of trying to prove his worth through stunts and domination.
2 - a compelling argument for why your fave would never top or bottom can't do it lol, everyone's a verse in my mind
6 - which ship fans are the most annoying? shoutout to the time i went through the snape/lily tag and couldn't scroll 3 posts without a james/lily shipper trying to pull moral rank. however i think 75% of the hp fandom has ship rabies.
7 - what character did you begin to hate not because of canon but because how how the fandom acts about them? eh, none, i don't let fandom influence my interpretations of characters that way. cedric is closest but the fandom misinterpretation is just an additional annoyance, rather than a driving force
8 - common fandom opinion that everyone is wrong about 'cedric and sofia have a good relationship'. shipping or not, they're completely one-sided. what does cedric provide sofia with? he doesn't even listen to her particularly well.
12 - the unpopular character that you actually like and why more people should like them to no one's surprise, my first pick here is wormwood from sofia the first. he was created as a joke, ha ha the pet is smarter than the human master, but then the show makes you judge him by human moral standards as the foil to cedric's 'deserving of second chances'. the show itself asks you to view a character that cannot leave servitude as human, and wants you to believe that his station is right. it's so deeply unfair. i care him. i respect him. i want to see him take the power of humanity for himself, abuse it, naturally, because that's all humans have ever done to him, then grow into a complete person when he realizes he cares despite it all. knowing that, i feel like mentioning areelu should come as no surprise. doing great evil in response to evil that was done to you? that's so up my alley. up my pussy even. making her bond with daeran of all people is such a great idea, someone who cannot forgive her, but must move on and work with her regardless. it seems like most people write her off as too evil to live, but she's still a super genius. there's a lot to be gained by befriending her. the gold dragon ""redemption"" happens so absurdly fast though. 'oh shit guess this is pretty fucked up, so glad you're a piss-colored lizard bc that's the only way i'd ever listen to you' wrath's writing in general has a bit of a quantity over quality issue. a lacking-logic issue. no way my azata would sacrifice herself just cuz without knowing what areelu will do once she's gone.
16 - you can't understand why so many people like this thing (characterization, trope, headcanon, etc) - hero-type main characters in general. idk exactly what it is but i find most of them very dull, and often irritating. a lack of desires beyond duty? can't often be described as freaks? they just never have any footholds for interesting ideas to me. - gold aasimar cum. if you want something golden to come out of daeran's dick, you can just make him piss XD also does that imply his hair is naturally white? - daeran x chill/lawful/'boring' kcs - i can tell that on some level he wants the stability from people like that, but i can't see him actually bonding with them. esp not towards the start of the game. - truly, utterly pathetic meow meows. like, listen, i love shoving a character into a Situation and watching them flounder around, but they've gotta be proficient at something!
21 - part of canon you think is overhyped for just about everything: the worldbuilding. i think people get impressed by the mere existence of worldbuilding, rather than the quality of it. pf surprised me when i looked deeper into stuff and found it gave me the same 'this is a hot mess and i have to make shit up for it to make sense' feeling as stf. i expected better from a massive ttrpg but ok. for wrath, also the characters and the music. the characters rely on one-note personalities with maybe a ~hint~ of spice, with one extremely notable exception of daeran. the degree to which he beats out every other character in complexity is stunning, really. the music is... just fine? it's not amazing, it does exactly what you'd expect a track for that purpose to do. I think most of the tracks have muddy orchestration, too much focus on harmony/vibes and not enough on rhythm and melody. the one track i really love is 'a drink before the battle', it has a great flow and dynamics and i wish it played more often.
22 - your favorite part of canon that everyone else ignores the villains/antagonists, best part of literally any media ever

LMAOOOOOOO
What the FUCK is this.
I want to punt anyone who agrees with this into the sun.
I swear Ben 10 is one of the only superheroes where people seem to get their rocks off showing how shit of a media literacy ability they have.
The show is BLATANT about showing why he acts the way he does.
Like even if the first few minutes of the FIRST FUCKING EPISODE he shows stupidly good moral judgement, especially for a 10 year old. The fact he immediately thought to use the Omnitrix to "actually help people instead of making things worse" is fucking insane.
People give Ben unnecessary amounts of shit for supposedly acting like a 10 year old when even as a 10 year old he shows more maturity and moral fiber than most adults.
Ben being the future Hero of Heroes is well deserved. He's easily one of the most effective superheroes in fiction and easily one of the most dedicated.
Literally the only superhero I know of that is even more insane about their dedication (and actually has Ben as a role model, the series was fictional in his reality before the embodiment of the Multiverse made every possible fiction real, it makes sense in context) is Blake Morgan from Exponential Power and he has so much of a workaholic tendency that the various ultra powerful gods and stuff in setting have literally mandated to have him have mandatory vacations since he's literally (and continues to do so) done an infinite amount of work in a finite amount of time to help people in need all across the Omniverse.
Literally all of this post holy fuck. Ben never had an open relationship. Literally the only person to ACTUALLY cheat on their relationship is Julie because Ben thought they were still together when Julie got Harvey behind his back and started to date him.
If you're curious about Exponential Power here's the link and summary. It delves into lots of philosophy that's pretty interesting.
My Earth was just like yours prior to 2007. After? After that 80% of the population on every planet in the universe suddenly got a 4 way split between 4 superpowers. Super speed, strength, flight, and intelligence.
The universe didn't know what was happening or why. Until the first batch of people "leveled up" and saw for a brief infinitesimal point in time their skill tree. Infinitely branching and big, with their base super power made from a few of those branches spelling it out.
With the level up grew more power and versatility, growing exponentially at a liner rate.
Fast-forward 10 years and you had large parts of each planet able to obliterate mountain ranges in a single punch or circle the planet in seconds.
The changes brought on by the first showing of powers was massive. After 10 years of getting used to the new normal, everything changed again. The 20% of the population sans any of the Big Four started getting esoteric powers. Like my best friend Caleb, he turned into a 3D living shadow.
Me? I have mind control.
Yeah. Definitely not something you want to advertise, especially when you've always wanted to form a superhero team.
and Ben 10 hate comment of the year award goes to this fuckhead
