I concede that fanfiction usually has a happy ending. But I am dying to write a tragedy. I want to make people cry. I wanna cry while writing it. I want an empty hole in my soul and a pain in my chest because I feel the suffering of the characters so viscerally that I feel it like it's my own.

I want to write Steven Strange realizing too late that his FWBs is actually the love of his life, but only when she's dying in his arms.

I want to write Severus Snape meeting Hermione in the past, growing up and waiting for when his memory of her and the present would come together, only for Severus to be cut down the moment she returns.

I want to write Sherlock Holmes realizing he loved Molly Hooper on her wedding day and having to watch her finally walk away from him, and knowing it's the better choice.

I want to write Loki meeting his match, only to watch her slowly fall in love with his brother and he with her, while he works through his rejection and ultimately his hope that they find happiness even if it breaks his heart.

I love the dynamic that both Sherlock and Moffat era Doctor Who have where there's the protagonist who's obviously a weirdo (Sherlock, The Doctor) and then there's the co-lead who at first seems like the "normal one" but if you pay attention you realize is actually also a weirdo (John, Amy, Clara) and then there's the supporting character who actually is normal and as a result is straight up not having a good time (Rory, Danny, Molly).

So this prompt was "cold pizza," and I also used a 30 Day Writing Challenge for this "All Of Time And Space" fic ("Write about a girl's night"). I haven't updated this series in ages and it has a complicated backstory so please feel free to read the series from the beginning if you're confused.

A Feeling Of Normalcy - Sherlock walks in on a girls night in at Baker Street and finds he likes the normalcy, even if it is fleeting in the long run.

Sherlock let himself into his home to be greeted with the cheers of women and the smell of pizza. He grinned. Ever since Anthea’s return from traveling with the Doctor, she was around Amy more. Molly and Amy had become quite good friends despite Rory’s attempt to attack Amy, mostly because Molly was very good for Rory and the attack had been influenced by The Silence. Martha came round quite often as well, and from the look of blonde frizzy curls peeking around the corner, River was here as well. Sherlock got more situated into the sitting room and saw some other women there as well.

“Oh! Sherlock, we weren’t expecting you back yet,” Amy said, getting up with a slice of pizza in her hand. He saw it had green peppers and olives with extra cheese, her favorite. It looked cold, but she was eating it anyway. “It’s the World Cup, and I have the best TV and sound system, so we’re all here watching England vs Argentina.”

“Don’t mind me,” he said. “I can go back to John’s place and stay there for a bit.”

“No no no, join us,” Molly said, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. “I want to hear about your latest case before I read about it on John’s blog.”

“Well, Lorna was there with us, providing us with military details that John was iffy on,” he said carefully. This case had UNIT ties, so Lorna was providing information on what Madame Kovarian had been up to, though the scope of what she knew had been limited. He’d been closeted with Kate Lethbridge-Stewart most of the day and Lorna had only been there for part of it, and then the both of them had gone to her and John’s home to have dinner and go over everything with John.

It was already beginning to be a headache.

But Molly was familiar with some of Lorna’s history, and how Melody had been kidnapped and rescued, so her eyes widened and she nodded. “I hope you solve it soon, then.”

He mouthed “thank you” to Molly and the squeezed in next to Amy on the loveseat. It was a tight fit with River there, but he didn’t mind. “Anything interesting going on in your life, River?”

“I met a new man, and we’re living together,” she said happily. “In Darillium.”

Sherlock’s heart sank. The next time she’d see the Doctor after that she’d be lost to them all, though he had the idea she could still pop up from time to time; there was so much he still couldn’t fathom about his daughter in her adult form no matter who tried to explain it. It was one of the few things he’d freely admit he didn’t understand.

“One night last twenty-something years,” Amy said, leaning into her husband’s space to whisper in his ear. “And this new man is an older regeneration of the Doctor. Or a newer one who looks older. Caught a glimpse of him dropping her off. He reminded me of you.”

A small smile settled on his face. That was some good news, at least.

A cheer went up among the women as England scored another goal in overtime. He knew soon everyone would leave and River could tell him more, and he could go into details about the case with Amy and the others, but in the meantime, it was nice to have a modicum of normalcy in his life. Made for an interesting change, and a nice one, to boot.

-> 69. It's been almost two years since I entered the world of fic writing. Enjoying my time!

2.) What's your current AO3 word count?

-> 204,949.

3.) What fandoms do you write for?

-> I've written for BBC Sherlock, Sherlock Holmes - Arthur Conan Doyle, Harry Potter, Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, and Good Omens, so far.

5.) Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

-> I respond to all the comments, sometimes to say thanks, sometimes to elaborate on something. I love responding to comments, and receiving new comments always brings me joy (obviously).

6.) What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

-> The Fall , I think. Although there are quite a few, but this one is the saddest.

7.) What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

-> I mostly write happy endings, so it was a bit difficult to choose. But I think Whisper.

8.) Do you receive hate?

-> Not hate, exactly but rude comments, sometimes. Including bots. But that's also rare.

9.) Do you write smut?

-> Yeah, sometimes. I've written porn both with and without plot. It's fun.

10.) Do you write crossovers?

-> I've written two crossovers by now. One was BBC Sherlock/Harry Potter and the other one was BBC Sherlock/Better Call Saul.

17.) Writing weaknesses?

I struggle to write descriptions when I have to set a scene. I'm an impatient writer, and I find it painfully boring.

Sometimes I tend not to follow the "Show, don't tell" rule. I've been trying to avoid this thing in my current WIPs, though.

I sometimes don't have the patience to write anything more than a drabble-length fic.

18.) Will you write dialogue in another language?

-> Haven't done that before, but I might, if I wanted to. Preferably in one of the 3 languages I speak.

19.) What was your first fandom?

-> BBC Sherlock. I started writing in January 2022.

20.) What's your favourite fic that you've ever written?

-> It was a tough choice between two or three works, but I'd say Superficial Wound, Deep Feelings. This is the first fic I wrote in the Victorian era style (for ACD canon fandom). Canon compliant to The Adventure of the Three Garridebs. Bittersweet ending.

  Molly inwardly groaned. She was a woman of medicine, not a woman of marriage. Especially when it's being forced upon you. Her parents had discussed the matter of their daughter — Molly — getting married, they'd put it off for so long just to see if it'd eventually happen... but no. It didn't. There were no callers, no one requesting her. Though, when you thought about it, who could blame them? She read books and pet her cat more than go to events and meet people.

  ...But then her parents introduced him to her. Sherlock Holmes. He was already quite infamous for his detective work, along with his partner; Doctor Watson. They'd been featured in the morning papers plenty of times, and they'd even crossed paths on some occasions. He was really quite handsome, and maybe Molly harboured a little bit of a crush, but it was nothing other than that. He usually tended to look at people with disdain if they weren't on some sort of level with him. Was she? Maybe in terms of medicinal knowledge, but... well.

  It wasn't like that mattered at the moment, did it? Their parents had clearly been in talk with one another, and thus; this was the outcome of it. Molly Hooper, sat there with her hair tied up in a loose bun; strands tickling at her face as if to lightly frame it, her hands gripping at her skirts to stop them from fidgeting... him sitting across from her with a cup of tea in his hands, looking at her as if to examine her, to be put under his scrutiny.

  Sucking in a breath, she attempts to make some form of conversation, ❝I... um... I assume you had no idea of this arrangement, mister Holmes?❞ And right after the words left her mouth, she was mentally cursing herself. Who'd start a conversation like that with a man like him? A very smart and intelligent individual— for God's sake, Molly.

1. What fic of yours would you recommend to someone who had never read any of your work? (In other words, what do you think is the best introduction to your fics?) Oh, that is so hard. I've been a fic writer for over 25 years, so I have thousands of fics. I think I'd recommend either Five People Who Never Died (And One Who Did) (CSI: NY, Canon divergence regarding character deaths), my All Of Time And Space series (Wholock - Sherlock/Doctor Who, main pairing is Pondlock aka Sherlock Holmes/Amy Pond, episode rewrites merging both canon universes + kidfic where Sherlock is Amy's babysitter as a kid), The One I'm Most Proud Of (Bleach, gen Ukitake & Hitsugaya), Side Trip (BtVS/Queen of the Damned movie, gen Spike & Jesse, side Spuffy and Lestat/Jesse), love is a battle, love is a war (Sherlock, Sherlolly, fantasy AU), yet our roots remain as one (MCU, rewrite of a "Thor: The Dark World" character death, start of a MCU/Sherlock crossover series which I also recommend but if you only read one, read this and the direct sequel), traces and whispers and guilt held too tightly (Star Trek AOS, Spock & Amanda Grayson, post-2009 ST, dream stuff), The Art Of Love Is Largely The Art Of Persistence (Sherlock alternate series 5, set in San Diego County - Sherlolly...my longest fic and my personal favorite fic ever written) and all of the fic in this tag and this tag (all of the friendship/relationship Leonard McCoy/Molly Hooper fics I have written...I created this ship with my friend in RP and I'm the biggest shipper of this ship, dammit).

9. How do you find new fic to read? I follow a few AO3 bot blogs, some rec blogs, and a ton of fic writers. I also love reading stuff people recommend to me from fandoms I may or may not be in...as long as I have a passing familiarity with the fandom I'll read it.

16. What’s an AU you would love to read (or have read and loved)? Oooh! I have an answer for this that I have read! My friend @dreaminonao3 has a few fics started that are modern-era Pride & Prejudice (2005) reimaginings with Caroline, Mary and Kitty paired off with her amazing OMCs Thurston, Leland and Gabe, respectively. I also really enjoy her modern au!Penthony (Anthony/Penelope) fics for the Bridgerton fandom and her rewrite of MCU canon where Steve wasn't from the 40s but he was actually a Templar Knight (I am also the inspiration for her popular fic enabler fic, so yeah...I'm her biggest fan).

48. What’s the last fic you read? Do you recommend it? The last fic I read was a Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries ficlet called Vows that I do highly recommend (married!Phrack, sickfic)

Hermione Jean Holmes, the only child and daughter of Sherlock Holmes and Molly Hooper. She was named by Molly, named after a character from Shakespeare's The Winter's Tale, a story that Molly seemed to enjoy.

She's smart, confident and cunning. Her smarts come from both of her parents, one being, probably, the world's smartest detective and a doctor, a pathologist. Hermione's inspired to work in medicine and with it, though she's also slightly interested in the Government side of things, thanks to her Uncle.

She's aware of the dangers that lurk around London, or the world rather, for being the daughter of one particular man. A man that basically sought out trouble, the cases he wants to find and solve. She doesn't mind that, though. In fact, part of her, the tiniest bit, sees it as thrilling.

Hermione is closest with her mother, Molly, but she still loves her father all the same, even when he's running out of the door with her Uncle John following behind. ❛The game is on❜, apparently—a saying he'd say quite often when a level 8 or 9 case popped up.

No doubt she'd get into the same amount of trouble if it were her, Ron and Harry running around London, doing similar things. Ronald Weasley and Harry Potter are her best friends and all.
