it’s been a hot minute and I am feeling really rusty, but here is a Sherlolly piece, something cute and sweet because Lord knows it’s needed.

I probably should fiddle with it a little more but I’m just gonna post.

  God-damn it all. Not only did he have gorgeous eyes and a sultry voice that could keep her hanging on every word, but that smile— oh, Molly, do relax.

  Molly stared at him then, as if to study him. He bought her... but not to suck the blood right out of her? A vampire, who's a detective no less, bought her for some sort of reason and it wasn't for the — as she thought — the intended use. Well... that was good, wasn't it? He wasn't going to kill her. So... why?

  ❝I see,❞ She finally speaks again, hands down her front, fidgeting amongst themselves to give her some sort of distraction. To believe him outright would be absurd; she didn't know the man, and he was a vampire, as if to remind herself. All those books, going on about how vampires were nothing but folklore, a myth— God, she wanted to slap herself. ❝I suppose I should be lucky, then.❞ Her voice was neutral, nothing pleased, nothing cruel. She wasn't about to start singing his praises for saving her… after all, she wasn't out of the woods yet, was she? She'd been bought, for God's sake.

  Her head turned to glance at the next human victim, bids already being placed on them to either be a captive or someone's next meal. A shiver went through her from top to bottom, her head swivelling back around to look at the man. Why did he have to be so bloody tall? ❝…If you didn't... buy me...❞ her cringes as her throat suddenly feels tight; she hates the very thought of it, ❝for that— then why?❞ Surely he hadn't found out about her skill with a scalpel and medicine. No, absolutely not; she was pretty careful about that. A woman wanting to learn medicine, study the human body? That was very much frowned upon in this sort of society. She was smart, and she should bloody get to prove such!

There   is   a   rush   to   his   step   as   he   leads   her   away   from   the   podium;   there   was already   another   human   being presented for buying,   one   he   couldn’t   give   a   single   damn   about.   Funny,   that.   Especially   considering   that   the   reason   why   Sherlock   ushered   the   petite   woman   off   the   podium   was   more   so   they   weren’t   turned   into   a   spectacle   for   the   gathered   public   to   witness,   rather   than   allowing   the   merchants   to   carry   on   with   their   bids.   

She   seems   to   finally   find   her   voice   and   says   something   that   puts   a   delighted   grin   on   his   face.   Oh,   he   bought   himself   a   smart   one!   Then,   of   course,   she   has   to   open   up   her   mouth   and   negate   herself   with   another   question,   but   Sherlock   will   let   that   slide.   He   supposes   that   the   ordeal   of   the   night   had   left   her   with   quite   a   shock;   after   all,   it’s   not   a   common   practice   for   humans   to   get   caught   and   sold   for   their   literal   blood.   Usually,   they   just   get   caught   somewhere   in   the   woods,   or,   as   some   vampires   like   a   touch   of   irony   and   humor,   near   the   town’s   church.   

“I   am   a   consulting   detective   that   happens   to   be   a   vampire,   Miss   Hooper.”   Finally   he   stops,   a   good   distance   away   from   the   crowd,   where   Watson   was   already   waiting   by   their   carriage.   “I   have   no   intention   of   harming   you   in   any   way,   I   wouldn’t   have   alluded   to   your   possessions and the possibility of their fetching   otherwise.”   His   tone   is   both   patient   and   anything   but,   as   though   he   was   talking   to   a   child,   patronizing   her   just   a   touch.   “Whether   you   choose   to   believe   me,   or   not,   I   didn’t   spend   a   small   fortune   just   to   suck   you   dry,   as   you’ve   so   dubbed   it,   and   toss   your   lifeless   body   into   a   nearest   ditch.”   Try   as   he   might,   however,   he   can’t   explain   why   exactly   he   had   bought   her;   the   answer   evaded   him   as   well.

ALSO!! I'll be totally reworking Molly's about page bc it doesn't fit the whole blue/yellow aesthetic we got going on, and I'll be making a connections section for her.............. would anyone like to be added, or discuss a connection with her??

I'll be finally here tonight!! Sorry for the disappearing; since my granddad passed away, life's been all over the place, so getting to here has been a struggle. But Molly's muse is definitely in full swing again so I'm really excited to get to things!!

Anyway, I think Molly deserves to be taken out on a nice date, whether it's a meal or walk in the park, or both
