I let my impulsive thoughts win and I am now ready to take care of my skin when I become a ghoul.

Regarding the recent discussion about the Walton Goggins character. I have a couple of thoughts about the skin condition of prewar ghouls.

Firstly, it is obvious that everyone's skin is in a different state due to the different conditions whey have lived. However, I think that many pre-war ghouls who survived the events of the fourth part and retained their sanity and social interactions must have a great will to live, as well as iron discipline.

I think that Jack Cabot felt good enough about Edward to make the effort to rescue him after the ghoulification. He probably came up with a simple recipe for a cream from the ingredients available at that time (oil, herbs), which helped to disinfect and heal burned skin. Later, Edward began to prepare this ointment himself. Perhaps it was similar to Boro Plus (probably familiar to everyone), or to Rescuer ointment, very popular in my country (a mix of cow butter and rose essential oil, works very well and smells like a strange but cool candy).

I think Ed's ointment smelled a little weird, but better than a lot of things in the wasteland, heh. Something like pine resin, licorice, bitters like Jägermeister. Ed was a pleasure to hug, he was clean, warm and smelled good.

Of course, Edward was in much better conditions than many other ghouls. However, I think he shared the recipe with anyone who wanted it.

Working for the Cabots, his military background, and his overall personality meant that Ed followed old habits and was very careful about his hygiene, treatment, and exercise, which allowed him to remain in relatively good physical shape. Yes, I love him too much to let him suffer. However, I still believe that almost all of his skin is covered with severe whitish burns and scars received in battles, ears and lips are almost gone, some of his teeth are also missing (although they have been replaced with primitive iron prosthetics, this is the best Jack could try) . His joints are deformed and he suffers from pain in his knees (also due to being so tall) and in his fingers.

In conclusion, even a well-preserved ghoul is not perfectly preserved, hehe.
