For those of you who don't remember, The Shape of Water had just won the award for best picture when the second round of trailers for this movie dropped and they HEAVILY implied that these two would be in a sexual relationship by pushing this scene in particular.

I just think that is fucking hilarious to this day. They were actively targeting the fish fucker demographic.

(and it worked because I went to go see this movie based only on the premise of robot sex. Was a good movie but no robot sex was had. Disappointed.)

Personally, I cannot interpret this as anything but pure, consummate love.

Throwback Thursday: It was 5 years ago when we were celebrating award season for The Shape Of Water, and I got to live my dream of being in an old musical dance number (dressed as an Amphibian Man, of course) with the amazing Sally Hawkins.
