Hey, you're a goddamn rp prompts blog! Rebrand or stop putting the gross political shit on main! Stressing people out who are actively engaging in a RECREATIONAL hobby is a bad look.

Now I was tempted to just delete this but I feel like I have to respond.

I am assuming that this is because I recently reblogged exactly one post about a political bill that would gut encryption and subsequently cause issues with Rp (and other internet activity.) I plan to delete it at the end of the month, when the bill can no longer be passed. I did just realize that I'd forgotten to tag it with "not a meme" and have done that, so you can filter that tag and not see that stuff.

As for other "gross political shit" I have reblogged a few about changes to tumblr so people can know what is going on, and a few things with links to stuff like resources that could help someone out.

Now I have just went through my archive and did delete a few things that must have gotten posted on here by accident when I was planning to put them on one of my other blogs. However, that may happen again and if it bothers you then unfollow.

This blog is not a super active one, I tend to just use it to keep memes for my own personal use, and have barely posted anything in the past year. I keep it up so people have access to the resources and edited memes, and if you don't want to see whatever I post on here that may be non meme related (like tips for the RPC and things like that) then just unfollow.

Also, just in case anyone is wondering what kind of "gross political shit" I'm here believing in:

Trans rights are human rights

Trans women are women, Trans men are men

Women should have the right to choose what happens to their bodies

Climate change is real and a problem

Cats are an invasive species and should be kept indoors

Police should not have unfettered power and should be held to a higher standard of behaviour than

Everyone should be housed and fed and able to live with dignity no matter their ability to work

Vaccines are good and work, and people should not be able to work with the most medically vulnerable people if they are unwilling to do what they can to protect them. (aka nurses/doctors should get their vaccines because they're supposed to be helping sick people, not carrying plague)

Also capitalism is a plague and billionaires should not exist.

THE PLOT REVEEAAALED. Part 1 // Since I’m retiring off the rpc in a week or two, might as well spill the deats of my plans ✌️ This correlated with an overarching plot taking several of my muses ( here, @laprimera , @luxestial , @koraichalcum and a miraidon I wanted to make ). This is also main verse ( ie-Scarlet version Turo, Sada is mortis and Turo comes back after the events of SCARVIO ).

FROM THE BEGINNING - Turo was a brilliant boarding student attending Naranja/UVA academy. He’s largely left to his own devices and expected to stick to his studies as his parents were largely aloof and distant but understand how incredibly intelligent he is. Turo largely felt the same and focused purely on his academics hoping to become a great researcher like Heath who’s studies he’s admired through his Violet Book on strange phenomenon and Pokémon found in Paldea’s very Crator.

His course was largely in the sciences and physics but he figured he’d explore a little with the schools large curriculum. Pokémon battling became something he was incredibly good at once he literally broke it down to literal science and stats. Meanwhile his other interests was in computer and software engineering with robotics to boot that’d make him standout from his peers (as well as alienating him at the same time). He went to class with a large amount of Paldea’s current teachers all to varying degrees of familiarity though never really having close friendships with any. Sada however became something of an annoying intellectual rival and close friend at the same time, sharing an infinity for Heath’s work.

They had a back and forth for some time during his time at school. Meanwhile he was quickly ascending as the top trainer during the academy’s treasure hunt season and taking the gym challenge. Eventually he would be recorded in Paldea’s Hall of Fame as its champion at one point (which can still be seen in Paldea’s library) but quickly lost interest once the challenge was done so to speak. Perhaps he was driven with far reaching goals and pivoted back to sciences instead. During this time he’d take some apprenticeships, his first being under an engineering company working on some peculiar and very tech forward armor for some strange Pokémon called “Mewtwo”. It was heavily under wraps esp with who it was being commissioned from but it was here working alongside brilliant minds in tech and computer engineering that it became his calling.

Apparently it was lucky he had to go back to Paldea to finish up schooling cause uh,,,apparently there was a freak accident that wiped out the company in Kanto not to long after. Ah well.

He’d finish his time in Paldea with honors and end up being in a long relationship with Sada into marriage. The two had moved past differences and noticed just how passionate they were for each other and their love of exploration. While Turo did go out of region to pursue further schooling for a physics doctorates he’d continue to work and thrive with Sada in creating their own research labs so they may persue their interests. Jacq and Clavell were picked up as part of their research team and a surprise baby boy, Arven, came into their lives. They’ve taken to bits of Heath’s work that have yet to be explored again in Paldea mostly out of fear and intense taboo. They’d both be made Paldea’s new regional professors known for their brilliance and research break throughs on some of Paldea’s environmental mysteries but still be hushed as equally screwy and far too ambitious. Their plans to set up a research lab INSIDE the Crater was gwafed at by any partners or sponsors they presented to. The Crater hadn’t been touched for 200 years for a reason. Heath had lost a lot of his research team and came out half-mad babbling nonsense about imaginative Pokémon and the crystals that held some powerful mystery. Even further before was Paldea’s founding history finding nothing but misfortune trying to explore its depths..

But thankfully someone DID see the potential in their work and exploring further. Their project was funded and picked up by the, at the time, young champion Geeta who took over Turo’s place as league champ (a seat he pretty much abandoned tbh) and the reformed League alongside the academy. So long as they could use their research for their students and Paldea they’d help out and even venture with them in it’s unknown depths. Finally their work was moving forward.

And it went off better then expected! Eventually they would discover the terastilization phenomenon involving the teracrystals within the Crater, in which would be renamed “Area Zero” to coincide with the other parts of Paldea. He could’ve stopped there. With the newfound acclaim he and Sada would’ve been more then okay exploring other avenues. …But the power of the crystals begged to go further then just a tool for Pokémon battling. It was very reactive to any tool they paired it with. Turo had tinkered with its properties a bit during their initial research project. Programs and machines he’d code and engineer became incredibly efficient with a teracrystal core, almost as if the energy was lifelike. In their exploration they came upon the mysterious, huge, entity they called Terapagos dormant at the Crater’s core where they hypothesized is where the source of the crystal and power came from. Attempting to wake it made everything around them unstable due to the enormous energy fluxes. It was best kept asleep but that didn’t mean they could not use its power still (not knowing at the time the danger for even being in its presence). Sada and him had the same idea of perhaps pushing the boundaries further.

They’d build a Time Machine to explore places and things no one has ever touched on before. Sada wanted to see the past and Turo wanted to see if his research would impact the future. It was done in secret though. Both of them had turned jaded and suspicious of company and even the League helping out. Little did he or anyone on the team know about the cognitive effects of the crystals or Terapagos. The episodes of hysteria or intense anxiety breaks within the team were chalked up to just being underground for so long without sunlight or being overworked. The team was thinning out the further their work was going but he paid little mind on anything but the research at hand. With their team having less hands he’d have to spend more time underground working. At some point he’d even neglect going up to see his own son and any advice to come up was ignored. Too much to do. No one understood that.

There was a lot of strain in the coming days between a team that would not stop leaving, mood swings, and intense cryptic visions he’d be plagued with. He’d envision whole conversations with Terapagos that called itself “MOTHERSHIP” beckoning they continue to work for knowledge sake and the mysteries it held that was unearthly. Clearly…it wasnt a Pokémon at all. But the further he prodded the further he lost sight of reality.

He and Sada once a happily married couple were always at ends with one another. Neither could agree where to take the project or how their research panned out. Something wasn’t adding up and Turo was slowly seeing through the cognitive haze. The Crater was dangerous and perhaps…they shouldn’t have touched upon its mysteries after all. The crystals were actually a lot more unpredictable and unstable then expected, the new Pokémon emerging from the rips in time space they created were on a confused rampage even more then what the league could handle and it was impossible to manage a whole lab with just two. He and Sada were the last scientists here. Geeta who became something of a close confidant even hesitated to continue protecting the labs at such hopeless odds but stood by despite her and the league being kept mostly out of the loop with the Time Machine.

But no word to leave would make Sada budge. By then their relationship had deeply soured, on the verge of divorce, and Turo caught in his own impudence simply left her to her own devices. He abandoned Area Zero, his wife, his young son, and everything he built in Paldea and would go on a ten year run not looking back.

catching up to dash since early morning is wild. but since everyones putting their two cents in lemme throw a bet in from someone who's been in poke rpc for some seven or so odd years ( hell some people have been around longer LMAO ).

I see a lot of posts focused on the individual experience, and thats great and not so great at the same time. It's tumblr, I get it. For the longest time peeps have been putting up with their time and energy being spent on the outside just to get online and want to relax. Let's not forget the mental illnesses that make energy and attention just impossible literally to do things lmao.

I love seeing people taking steps to take care of themselves. The early days didn't have carefully made boundaries and I saw so many peeps get burnt out making this a job more then a hobby, getting abused, a lot of nasty stuff but all that changed when the attitude changed. It's been so much better for everyone that way.

But I also observe the community in this .. or lack of in some ways. There's also been a lot of people leaving because of little interaction or in some cases being shunned from events that are supposedly open. That's a recent movement. I remember dash wide spontaneous events, the rpc sharing and evolving a plot that may have started from one blog before connecting so many others, raid battles with legendary pokemon that went out of control, etc!

Im not saying you can't have a circle of pals. I sure do! I'm saying have instances of being open for others to interact and get involved. I'm sure a lot of peeps wouldn't have even met their pals without having that oppurtunity to participate in something small that became something very big! This hobby is great because there's a community to share and be apart of and to deny or shun new players or even current ones who want to be part of something great is counterintuitive for a community at whole. Whether thats rb'ing memes, letting peeps comment on ic posts or dash posts, having starter calls, making aus that aren't connected to a plot so it's easier to open to new engagement, etc.

Course there's the argument of "its my X so I will say what or who goes into X" and you're right! There's a perfect balance of boundaries understood and being made and maybe opening the narrative to players who genuinely look interested and try to join who listen to said boundaries and participate fairly and with anticipation.

But more then anything make it easy to do so. I also remember the period when people would put cryptic rule passwords in their rules. Like...Im talking they broke them up, scattered them around all around their tiny text, glow up pages and if you get one word wrong theyd tell you try again....lol. We don't need that. Getting the nuisances of society is hard enough least of all for the peeps who have conditions that make this extra hard. I'm talking from someone who has an extreme case of social anxiety (doctors word for it, not mine LAUGHs) and ADHD. I don't communicate or participate like regular players. In fact I only gauge how well I can play with someone by casual one off ic back and forth first and build from there. Maybe by the third or fourth interaction Im brave enough to reach out via DMs. I literally have panic attacks and take a week to answer IMs that come out of the blue asking to participate which is just the regular thing to do in the rpc, but I literally can't do that. Sadly I've been reprimanded for trying to have casual back and forths throughout the years despite how apparent I make it that I have a very hard time going into IMs or asks without knowing you first.

We should make ourselves accessible! We talk about making front pages accessible for those hard of sight, google documents to make things easy, icons and all that but don't really talk about making the important communication between peeps accessible for people with handicaps too.

All in all this is my opinion and observation! The community changes every few years and it's interesting to see how it turns one way or the other. You dont have to listen to me or any of this really! Be as private or as open as ya like. This is after all a hobby and Im literally turning into the old man in the corner on his rocker literally and figurately.

something I want to say as I've been struggling with some feelings lately. when someone you care about, look up to, interact with, etc decides to block you without saying a thing to you they're losing a friend, you're losing nothing.

if you are replaceable or disposable to someone then they are not your friend, and they were never interested in or capable of being a friend to you. which, isn't a bad thing; people don't mesh, that's fine. but if people care they'll treat you with care and respect, they'll treat you like a person, not just a blog that's following / interacting with them.

thus, my reasoning becomes they never had anything to offer me, or didn't think I was worth the effort, so the only thing lost is the potential I was investing in by trying to be a friend. which also, don't stay in friendships that use you / are one-sided ! but in this case, you were willing to be a friend and they weren't; that's their loss, not yours. they lost a potential friend and partner, you lost a potential deadend / energy sink.

idk. the RSD has been hitting me especially hard, I'm looking forward to my doctors appointment this week so I can discuss getting anxiety medication. I'm just trying to come to terms with rejection in the best and most positive way I can. it still hurts, but I'm okay. just struggling a bit.

don't waste your time on people who don't give you a second thought. there will always be someone in the rpc who cares and wants to interact with you and be a friend. and, as a reminder, just talk to people if you have a problem or you don't want to be friends anymore. anxiety sucks, I know it does. but please just communicate with me; we're both adults, we're both anxious, we'll get through it best we can. I will always value communication, even if it's hard. I do my best, truly. I would rather face my anxiety and talk things out than lose potential partners and friends, every time.

also, reminder that you can block anyone for any reason. I support blocking, I use it myself. I'm not shaming anyone for blocking. it's just hard not to assume the worst with RSD so I have to come with ways to logic to myself and make myself feel better / make it easier to move on.

I think it’s fine to age up characters and write aged up versions of them. Obviously I’m not talking about the 1000 year old l.oli who looks like a child and still behaves like one. That’s weird and not what I’m talking about.

But take for example my sheik muse who has both a child verse and an adult verse. Some people would argue that’s not ok. It’s always baffled me. For me I’ve always been interested in exploring older verses because I’m an older mun. I’m in my 30’s now. A lot of the media I write and roleplay for has been around since I was a kid. I find it perfectly okay to want to explore the characters as they grow up.

Additionally I think it’s okay because truthfully a lot of characters should not be minors. This is really prevalent in jrpg’s. I call it the J.ude M.athis problem. Jude is a character from T.ales of X.illia who is 16. But he’s a practicing doctor and in his last years of med school. He’s not stated to be a genius like the twins in 14 are. HE’S JUST IN MED SCHOOL AT 16. Like that makes no sense. It happens sure but holy shit. This is what I mean.

A lot of the F.E cast suffers from this too and like idk. Maybe I just wanna cut down on the prolific number of child soldiers that just EXIST in each F.ire E.mblem title.

◈　what made you pick up the current muse(s) you have?　 ⋯ 　For my fandomless OCs, it's just because I love their characters or have grown to over the years and to get to know them more so that when I write about them in my WIPs, they are fully fleshed out characters. Of course, there may be some differences between for example Tori & Alex in the RPC and Tori and Alex in my WIP about them. But I do feel RP helps me to get to know my muses a bit better. (I'm not going to do all of my fandomless OCs but I will say that I do love all of them. And have books planned for many of them, after I finish the books of Tori & Alex's story.)

For Antoinette, I was inspired after seeing Beauty and the Beast (2017), idk why. Something about that movie just caught my muse and I was like what if one of the feather dusters was gay and black and ...yeah, Antoinette was born! I absolutely adore her. <3

For the [Redacted] Doctor, they were born out of a desire to see T'Nia Miller portray the Doctor (even though she was already in Doctor Who. I know, I know. But so was Peter Capaldi.) And then I kind of developed a personality for the Doctor and a story and yeah. The rest is history. <3 I adore them so much too. <3

For The Thirteenth Doctor, what can I say? She's my Doctor and I love her. And I can relate to her so much, but I also admire her character as well. So she's an interesting muse to play. I love RPing her. <3

For my Witcher muses: Yennefer, Ciri, Renfri, and Jaskier: Yennefer I love but do find difficult at times. However, I welcome the challenge. And I look forward to getting better at slipping into her voice as time goes on. Ciri is my favorite character and so it was an easy choice picking her as a muse. Similar to 13, I can relate to aspects of Ciri while admiring others. And that makes her an interesting muse to play. Renfri, I loved her story in the book and in the show, and wanted to make her really come to life. Jaskier is probably in my top 5 favorite Witcher characters, at least in the show. He brings some lightness but also is not too light that it takes away from the realism. He's a well-rounded character, I think. I often suck at portraying male characters, at least IMO, but Jaskier was an easy one for me to write because he's not super macho or anything lol. And he's a character I can also relate to in some ways, so yeah.

For my Bridgerton muses: Daphne, Eloise, Benedict, Simon, Kate, and Penelope. I adore Bridgerton. It's like Jane Austen meets Gossip Girl with more diversity and so once I finished watching s2, I was like....I need to add muses. Daphne is a character I really enjoy and s1 is told through her perspective, so you really get to know her. Eloise is ahead of her time and so bold and I love her for it. Benedict is artistic and sensitive, especially for the time he lives in. Simon is also a character I really enjoy watching and getting to know in s1. Kate is probably my favorite character of all (Eloise is a close second. And Daphne is a close third.). And Penelope? Who wouldn't want to explore her complex character?

Now on to my Arcane muses. Vi, Caitlyn, Jayce, Viktor, and Mel. Vi is a bit of a challenge, but like with Yennefer, I enjoy it. Caitlyn is probably the character I relate to the most out of these muses of mine, so of course I had to RP her. Jayce, I thoroughly enjoy him. Viktor same. Mel same.

Motherland: Fort Salem muses: Raelle, Tally, Abigail, and Scylla. I relate the most to Raelle and Tally but I adore Abigail and Scylla as well. I love the show in general and it being taken off Hulu is my villain origin story lol. <3 So portraying these wonderful muses just made sense to me.

Ann Walker is the character/person I relate to the most in Gentleman Jack, I'm much more of an Ann than an Anne, though I'd say I have aspects of both. LOL. But yeah, I felt like she was underappreciated so I picked her up as a muse.

Laura & Carmilla from the Carmilla Webseries & Movie: I'm pretty much the bisexual nonbinary version of Laura. LOL. So I had to RP her. And while I can't fully relate to Carmilla I do adore her as a character, so RPing her seemed to make sense.

Now on to my ASOIAF/Game of Thrones muses: Daenerys and Arya. These two are my favorite characters in that world. And I can relate to and admire both of them. So like with 13 and Ciri, that makes them interesting muses to play.

◈　is there anything you don’t like to write?　 ⋯ 　Besides the obvious topics that I'm uncomfortable with that are in my rules, I'd say I don't want to write angst for the sake of angst. Like I love angst, don't get me wrong. I adore angst. But it has to make sense for my muse and their story. I feel the same way about fluff, btw. hahah. As long as the mood makes sense for my muse and their story, though, I'm good.

◈　is there anything you really enjoy writing?　 ⋯ 　Angst. Hurt/comfort. Fluff. Romance. Smut (sometimes). I enjoy writing anything and everything.

◈　how do you come up with headcanons?　 ⋯ 　It varies depending on muse. Sometimes if they're a canon muse, I'll react to themes or ideas or scenes in their canon. Or even fandom interpretations of them. For my OCs, I tend to think of headcanons based on what I feel needs expanding on. But tbh, I am always open to suggestions for headcanons for any of my muses.

◈　do you write in silence or do you play music?　 ⋯ 　It depends on my mood. I've done both. Hahah.

◈　do you plan your replies or wing them?　 ⋯ 　I'm much better at winging it, but I don't mind plotting and working things out if it's what my RP partner prefers. I'm flexible like that :)

In light of more talk about Batman Beyond in the rpc (good, it's fucking peak), and talking with @2ndbat (FANTASTIC BLOG GO FOLLOW), I have revamped my Incurable/Terminal verses to go from just Old Man Crane to straight up Batman Beyond.

That said, I will be outlining the general setting and the differences in both verses here! Enjoy!

NAME: Professor Jonathan Ichabod Crane SPECIES: Metahuman AGE: 68 HEIGHT: 7’10” WEIGHT: 280 lbs. OCCUPATION: Professor of Psychology at Gotham University, Professional Therapist and Psychiatrist, Career Criminal (formerly), Supervillain (formerly) AFFILIATIONS: Gotham University (formerly and currently), Di Vaio Crime Family (formerly), Quorum (formerly), Secret Society (formerly), The Injustice League (formerly) PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: A veritable colossus of muscle, Jonathan Crane’s rehabilitation worked out far better for him than any could have ever hoped. After finally receiving proper treatment and diagnoses, Crane’s medications and fear suppressants allowed him to finally regain some sense of routine beyond getting up in the mornings and putting his body through Hell. Eating, sleeping, and exercising regularly has enhanced Crane’s physique, to the point where even at 68, the giant still seems to be in his physical prime… “seems” to be, that is. Though his hair has begun to gray and his face is showing signs of his age in the form of wrinkles and laugh lines, Crane is no less gorgeous than he was two decades prior. Crane has gone completely blind in his right eye, and still uses a prosthetic left arm and right leg thanks to injuries suffered when he was 30. MEDICAL INFORMATION: McCune-Albright Syndrome, Sleep Apnea, Asthma, Fibromyalgia, severe burn injuries, blind in right eye, missing an arm and leg, severe brain damage and nerve damage MENTAL DISORDERS: DID, Bipolar Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Seasonal Affective Disorder, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder

BIOGRAPHY: After a lifetime of pain and insanity, Crane's reprieve, ironically enough, only came about when the foundations of Arkham itself were shook to their very core, and he was finally assigned a new doctor. Instead of approaching Crane as though he were completely sane, the new doctor, Mannfred O'Malley (who had experience with Crane) immediately diagnosed him with DID, Bipolar Disorder, PTSD, Autism, and a slew of other diagnoses. CAT scans supported this, and Crane was immediately put on anti-psychotics, mood stabilizers, and anxiety relief medication. Crane had never been better in years, and at the age of 36, he was finally recovering. He began to sleep and eat much more regularly, and corrective surgery helped many of his physical maladies. Eventually, upon his release from Arkham, Crane stopped returning as frequently, and stopped completely once his prescriptions were moved to a regular psychiatrist in the city.

After 2 years living on his farm in good health, Crane gained an astonishing 100 pounds of muscle, no longer malnourished from his unhealthy lifestyle, and even had a growth spurt of 2 inches. Emboldened by his change, he applied once more to Gotham University, where he had taught so long ago, at the age of 40. It had been 15 years since his abrupt departure, but they still welcomed him back with open arms. At the age of 60, Jonathan Crane was now a tenured professor of psychology, winning multiple awards for his theories and experiments in regard to fear and the human mind.

And then, it all came crashing down.

On the eve of his 62nd birthday, Crane suffered from a horrible mental break - his hallucinations began to return, this time with a vengeance, and recognizing the pattern, Crane took an emergency leave of absence.

The news he received after returning to Arkham was horrid. After being physically examined, it became clear that Crane's spinal and cerebral implant, his constant companion for 55 years and a mark of Qorum's involvement in his life, had been spreading itself through his body, upgrading itself with cybernetic modifications. In addition, the fear toxin in his veins had irreparably damaged his mind, and he would suffer a complete and total cessation of brain activity soon. They could not give him an estimate of how much time he had left. Left only with the choice of how he would receive this news, Crane's path diverges.

INCURABLE.

SEEKING to prevent himself from repeating the mistakes of the past, Professor Jonathan Crane seeks treatment to prolong his life as much as possible, and experiments with the dosage on his medications, even against professional advice. Taking a sabbatical from Gotham University, Crane travels the world, looking for a cure for his condition. In distant lands, and lands not far from home, he dons the guise of a helpless old man, when in truth, he is far from it. After seeing the pain in the world, the same pain he once spent so much time contributing to, he dons the visage of "The Ward", a traveling alchemist seeking to protect the weak and the innocent, and to save problems. He frequently returns to Gotham whenever he can, even occasionally checking himself back into Arkham during particularly brutal episodes, but thanks to living frugally over many, many years, he has a good chunk of money saved up for his travels. Ironically enough, Crane is currently the closest he has ever been to activating his metagene, a feat which would completely halt his neural degradation and remove the implant, as well as halt his aging - if only he was even aware he was a metahuman.

ABILITIES: Vast intellect, resilient body, martial arts training, decades of experience, heightened awareness

WEAKNESSES: Frequent hallucinations, neural degradation, moves slow due to injuries and age

TERMINAL.

SOMETIMES it can be impossible to truly recover what one has already lost. Already cracked and fractured by his ongoing condition, Crane left his appointment with Doctor O'Malley a despondent and heartbroken man. Was this his reward, for trying to be better? He twitches, as though he can feel his body building itself up and breaking down at the same time. It isn't until his return to the city proper that he finds himself on the other end of a would-be-mugger, and he realizes nothing has changed. The Waynes, the di Vaios - even Zsasz's life had changed at the end of a blade. There was nothing to change for Crane, though. His hand shoots out before he can stop it. He breaks the criminal's hand - and then his neck. And he looks upon Gotham with a profound sadness. His past would only continue to haunt him, for as long as he let it. His mind fractures, and finally his metagene is activated... slightly. With enhanced strength, speed, and senses, but at the cost of his physical health and sanity, Crane dons the mask of Epimetheus, an amalgamation of all that he once was - Crane, Crow, Bones, Beast, and even Jonathan. He will slaughter his past, no matter how long it takes.

ABILITIES: Shapeshifting, heightened reflexes, enhanced speed, enhanced strength, semi-intangibility

WEAKNESSES: Complete loss of sanity, animalistic intellect, lack of higher thought (maybe)
