Wels has this habit of ..borrowing Doc's coat. It’s not the best for someone who’s wearing full armor all the time, and let’s be honest, the coat has seen better days. But it’s his coat, and there’s something comforting about it. When they’re just chilling, no armour, no pressure, Wels loves slipping into it. It’s big on him and weirdly comfortable even though it doesn’t exactly provide much warmth (especially if you’re used to full-body armor), but in those rare moments of downtime, it’s the most comforting thing in the world.

And Doc just lets Wels be because what else can he really do? xd

There's a whole list of reasons Doc wouldn't stop him, but a lot are variations of 'Wels looks really good in it.' The fact it's left in places Wels can easily find it... That's unrelated.

Question abt the xisuma and keralis doodle in the cozy xisuma post;;

Do the hermit's not know what xisuma's face looks like and keralis is one of the only ones/the only one who knows, or do the hermit's know what his face looks like but we as the audience for some reason don't?

I think as far as I’ve decided, Keralis, Cleo, and Doc are the only hermits who have seen Xisuma’s face.

and adding to that hypno sees zedaph and is shocked because this man has No swag. he’s always having fashion rivalries with zaeden but his counterpart just wears an ugly sweater all day

kasper meeting keralis is also just. endless innuendos and by the end of 5 minutes everyone’s so done with them both

wels and hels seeing their counterparts is like damn hels you’re not dead? never mind you look even more fucked up than usual

tango is slightly disappointed that lulu is bdubs’ horse but he ends up befriending her after giving her an apple

cleo is glad to see her counterpart still throws hands with jevin regularly (although he’s a slime and not radioactive)

and octavian is like. i’m supposed to be THIS guy? they can’t even scam people correctly

I find it really fucking funny that our doc, wels, false, impulse, xisuma, and ren have worked their asses off to heighten their in-system communication with each other and make fronting with each other and switching between each other really smooth and easy simply because they all want to crowd into front every now and then to rap out the entirety of hermitgang together

I love the idea of the hybrid glitching trope in fics so much. Like the fandom has just determined that some hermits are part animal or mob or other and that sometimes they don’t get to choose how big that part is because of a glitch?

Cleo, Doc, Tango, Cub, and Jevin becoming hostile? Incredible angst potential but also humor because imagine you’re chilling with your buddy Cleo and she just starts burning in the sun and trying to eat you randomly, or Jevin keeps trying to jump into glass walls, or Tango keeps shooting fireballs at you, or Doc won’t stop hissing when you get too close and is suddenly terrified of cats. Cub is actually being relatively tame… as long as you stay away from any skulk sensors or shriekers so you don’t summon him.

For the more “animal” oriented hybrids, it’s more about wrangling than anything. Ren has gone full wolf and someone has to stop him from trying to chase down and kill Gem, Etho, and Zedaph, who will not stop running, because wolves kill foxes and sheep. No one can get False and Grian out of the sky (which is a problem because, evidently, a falcon can and will try to kill a parrot), XB disappeared into the ocean somewhere, and Scar, Beef, and Joel are… being relatively chill. Turns out a cat, a bull, and a raccoon are actually pretty easy to deal with comparatively.

As for the more esoteric or out there hermit hybrids, things are even weirder. Skizz wants to track down Impulse but Impulse won’t leave the nether and Skizz can’t enter it right now. Pearl is shapeshifter, so she’s just resigning herself to uncontrollable shifts and trying not to break anything when she randomly sprouts horns or wings or a tail. Juppet’s “handler” is gone so he’s fully just out of commission, and had to be placed in his little one by one base for the time being because he can no longer move. X looks fine outwardly, but he’s actually struggling to not fully turn into void mist inside his suit.

And for the hermits who I don’t headcanon as hybrids (Bdubs, Keralis, Hypno, Wels, and Mumbo) they’re just trying to keep things in line but maybe not doing a great job given just how quickly the situation would probably devolve, especially as X is trying to fix server issues (being the only admin who’s currently… reachable) while also trying to remain corporeal.

I love Soup Group, because a cursory glance would make people think Gem Holds the braincell, she doesn't not, Impulse used to hold it but he gave it to Bdubs for an gift which left the Soup Group braincelless but Bdubs eventually traded it to Etho for a Saddle who traded it to Cleo in exchange for a bodyguard, Cleo then threw it at Jevin in an attempt on his life, he then traded it to Wels for a Snickers bar who eventually gave it to X who handed it to Doc for safekeeping who gave it to Ren who kept it until Scar stole it and traded it to Grian for shenanigans, Grian eventually gave it to Mumbo as a welcome home gift and Gem bullied Mumbo into getting it back. Everyone is about 60% sure Tango had the braincell at one time but no one can track where.

Pearl says she had it once but never said anything so who can tell.

Foxes love bites

Etho tries his hardest to not bite his friends and wearing his mask does help but sometimes he slips up and playful bites one of his friends. Etho has made a list of what it's like to bite different hermits

Cleo: taste bad and will bite back

Grian: chicken

Jevin: bad idea very slimy

Joel: not bad also bite him back

Wels/X: his teeth still hurt from biting them one after the other. Their armor does taste different

Mumbo: taste like redstone

B-Dubs: mossy

Impulse: Static shocked him, ow

Tango: Spicy

Doc: WRONG ARM. BAD IDEA

Scar: mmm tastes like cookies

BILBY PEARL. I go absolutely mad for bilbies.. SO NOW YOU PUT IT ON THE AUSTRALLIAN!?!

Bdubs- must. creature. And the absolute shortest! AND MUST HAVE PONY TAIL.. you get it? Cause- cause of the hor-*dies*

Impulse- Imp! But with gold schtuff

Skizz- this man is hairy. And a dove! I understand the Angel and Demon complimentary designs with those two but I just prefer bird. Also he skipped leg day.

Scar - He has leg hair and armpit hair a hundred percent. ALSO leg braces whenever possible!❤️

Ren- any dog that is medium or large, but not extra large like some mastiffs or Great Dane.

Jimmy and Martyn - I’m seriously leaning to just doing golden retrievers for them now.

Etho - arctic fox with his big puffy jacket! Maybe he has iron on patches of the mother land and Heinz beans?

Joel - Definitely a tanuki in hermitcraft X but everywhere else I’d say raccoon. (It makes no difference in my design)

Cleo - clearly a zombie, But you need some freaking cool eyes for her, she deserves it.

Doc - we need that goat body on that man. AND HIS MECH EYE IS A GOAT EYE!!!

Zed - sheep. Don’t even.

Big B- I’m really thinking Newfoundland dog for him ngl. He’s just chill like that and then HE CAN DIG MORE HOLES. but definitely creaking for wild life

Joe - he needs his mullet and glasses. DO NOT PLAY WITH ME. And juppet dearly beloved ❤️ he’s so silly.

There's some vague plot-talk under the cut, not too many spoilers tho! I have no much planned and there's way too much I have drafted to spoil in one post anyways 😭

It doesn't take Genshin lore 100% straight, there are some plot points, characters, and events that are changed/straight up don't exist to make the story flow better and make more sense (also Genshin is extensive as HELL and there are virtually a million things going on at the same time).

While the plot is about the Evo group as a whole, the story itself mainly follows Jimmy, as he and Lizzy work to become harbingers. Why are they fatui? How are the main 5 from Snezhnaya yet the plot takes place in present-day Tevat? How did they get there? Why aren't they together? These are all questions that'll be answered through the fic or as I update on my silly little blog :) !

(And to not hype you up too much, I AM A BAD WRITER! TERRIBLE EVEN! Ive written 1 chapter already but I'm still trying to find a beta-reader cause I'm too nervous to post it 😭)
