If you know, you know 😝 So back in May the wonderful Tough Pigs fansite held what they called Muppetational May where there was a different muppety/fraggly/Sesame prompt every day of the month. Day 14 was time travel and the first thing that popped into my head was Gobo and Matt being Doc and Marty from Back to the Future! I just thought they fit the characters perfectly and took the risk to try it out! I recently redrew this (above) cause I loved the idea so much! But the original is below! I owe a lot to Muppetational May it really helped me develop my art style. I’m not the best drawer nor will I ever be but I am proud of how far I’ve come with my muppets and Disney characters ahha! 🙈🥰❤️

Why did I wait this long to start watching Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock, this is exactly what I needed

So a few days ago John Tartaglia did a Q&A via Instagram Stories answering whatever questions he could about Season 2 of Back to The Rock - while most of his answers were (understandably) vague, this one piqued my interest:

Given the way he stretches out the "maybe" AND the look on his face, it's pretty likely that when he says "maybe" he means "yes" (though this obviously isn't 100% confirmed, he could be trolling us).

So with that in mind -

In last episode, Change of Address, Doc tells Gobo that his real name is “Jerome Crystal”.

Which makes his name actually “Doc Jerome Crystal” or “Doc Crystal” which sounds a lot like “Dark Crystal”

As in Jim Henson’s The Dark Crystal

You learn somethin’ new everyday!

Muppet Fact #985

In the last episode of Fraggle Rock, it was revealed that Doc's name is Jerome Crystal. At the 2001 MuppetFest on the second day, Associate Creative Director and Staff Writer Craig Shemin asked during trivia, "On Fraggle Rock, what's Doc's last name?" No one could respond so he said, "I'm ashamed of you people!" Although not officially stated, the name Doc Crystal is a pun/reference to The Dark Crystal.
