HONESTLY i just did the challenge because i wanted to prove myself that i can draw milgram for a whole month and im glad people enjoyed my art!! however art might not be posted as frequently as everyday unless i take up another challenge (Which is unlikely, i'll save my energy for other months with the challenge)

i will be on artfight later this july! i will do a post when that time comes and it'll be mostly oc art (i like drawing for other people and for myself)

is grumblr a separate thing to the wider tumblr roleplay community (and existing hs RP community inc fantrolls and other things? or what's up xD. as a long time roleplayer looking in just curious if you all know eachother)

grumblr doesn't have to be its own thing, as long as you tag your hs rp blog as grumblr, its grumblr. The whole shtick is that its troll Tumblr (though theres humans and cherubs scattered around as well). You can make blogs and post as little or as much as you like and interact or not with whoever you want

It started out in i think around September 2023 with roleplay blogs parodying subreddits. The people that were there at the start I think formed their own discord servers and things but It grew from there into a larger rp community. I always stayed exclusively in the grumblr side of roleplaying, since the noncomittal social media aspect made me join in the first place (i think i joined in November 2023?)

Most people don't know each other at the start i think but find friends within the community via the roleplay. I didn't know anybody at the start (and hadnt roleplayed in years actually) but i formed lots of friendships within the community which im immensely grateful for. I know it may seem cliquey from an outside perspective but its really not, all you have to do really is interact (which is scary asf at first but its not).

There's been some downs unfortunately but that's how it is with every community. In my opinion grumblr is a very creative concept and overall great thing. I don't think i ever would have made so many friends without it, and it really made me love making art and OCs again. Its really fun.

Sure! The community is very open so long as you agree to all of the guidelines (found under the #jjbarp-community tag). I'll be putting my answers below the cut.

All you'd have to do is send me a DM so I know which blog to add! I will state, I'm currently unsure if I can invite sideblogs - I couldn't invite my own sideblog, but that may just be because I'm an admin; and insofar, everyone who has joined has done so via their main. Luckily, you can easily just reblog posts from your sideblog/RP account into the community to have it appear on the respective page (which I do recommend to have a sideblog for RP, so that you can have a dedicated pinned post or page for your characters and boundaries.

For what characters to play, so long as they fall within or very adjacent to the JJBA verse, you'll fit in! I am keeping this specific to JJBA, but multiverse characters are always welcome to interact with those in the community. Parody blogs of canon characters, OCs that are a part of the JJBA universe, and canon multi-muses are allowed in. Basically, if it falls under JJBA, you're welcome! If not a character/OC from JJBA, you can still interact with blogs in the community (as the community is public) but not be in it yourself - if that makes sense!

*Welcome to the word of Ender Shift. *Where monsters and humans encounter a new kind of soul. A soul that doesn't belong. A soul not from the overworld or underground, but a different dimension entirely. *Humans don't know what to do with someone who looks so monstrous.. so down below she fell. My name is Lucid and my pronouns are they/it! I've been in the Undertale fandom for a good while and this is probably the first AU/AT I've made and put full effort into to get it off the ground. Below is information and I apologise if it's too much to read. I have it sectioned up so hopefully things are a bit easier to read!

A bit of a content warning, though I doubt it's too much that the Undertale fandom can't handle. This blog will have blood, violence, substance usage(tobacco[cigarettes] and alcohol), mental disorders/disabilities, slight body mutilation(primarily to the face[eyes & mouth], not that much, probably only a few panels/frames), and swearing!

Posts will have TWs/CWs in the tag and comics will be put under a cut after written warnings. Viewer discretion is advised. Please take care of yourselves. 🤍

This is an Undertale AU blog composed of comics, videos, and stories. The comics will be combinations of drawings and Gacha-based characters, poses, and such. If you do not like it, simply don't click.

This crosses over with Minecraft - specifically focused on End and Nether, but it also includes the Deep Dark and a custom dimension/customised take on a dimension. Though, most features outside of the End won't be added until later. (:3)

This is not a Sans, Papyrus, Frisk, Chara, or Asriel centric AU/AT(though they all do get sight touch-ups on their designs). This is an OC centric AU/AT. If that isn't your cup of tea, simply don't interact with this blog. This is not to say that the characters won't show face, but they are not the main centre focus of the AU/AT.

This rolls an ask blog, a comic blog, and a fanfic blog all into one. Characters to this AU will be listed below. Please avoid making ask blogs for the characters. Parody character accounts, fanart, etc will be permitted, but there are a few cases of AUs/ATs getting ask blogs made by people who aren't even the original creator.

As more things get made, links will be added. For the time being, though, please use the "search tag" feature of Tumblr on my profile! There will be tags for asks, the storyline features, character asks, incorrect quotes, side stories, and more.

There are quite a few different things that will be explained when the story begins. In the first post of the story, I will add a cut to the post of Keep Reading for information. Please know that the AU/AT includes things that most people may or may not like - for example "gendered" Frisk(demiboy, he/they) & Chara(demigirl, she/they). There are a lot of things changed, altered, removed, and included. Look, a person's gotta take creative liberties to make something, okay?

Characters in the AU are the usual - Flowey, Toriel, Napstablook, Sans, Papyrus, Monster Kid, Grillby, Undyne, Temmie, Alphys, Mettaton, Muffet, Asgore, Asriel, and Gaster[o_O]. There are also OC characters - Ciara, Lucian, Briar, Arial, Gabriel, Altair, Audrey, Cato, and Meyrul[Malachi]. There are also reference to Minecraft characters and mobs - Steve, Alex, Herobrine, Entity 303, Endermen[Named], Wither[Weston], Ender Dragons[Everleigh & Eastmund], and Warden[Walker].

Character designs and profiles will be coming soon! The canon characters of Undertale(besides F&C) and the human(oid) characters of Minecraft aren't going to have too much of a redesign and we all know the stats, abilities, and information of the Undertale characters.

7. Your favourite ao3 tag.

From my own fics, definitely “Desecration of Religious Artifacts” and “Quality Bedlinens Ruined.”  The latter featured on the AO3 tag of the day blog!  Otherwise, I am quite dull when it comes to tags.  

For other people’s fics, I always have a soft spot for “canon compliant”, “AU - canon divergence”, “hurt/comfort”, “angst with a happy ending”, “everybody lives/nobody dies”, and “soulmates”.  It is a bit of a miscellaneous list!  

9.  Thoughts on cliffhangers.

So long as they are ultimately resolved, I love cliffhangers. They are usually the sign of a plot-heavy fic and that’s my jam!  It can be frustrating if they aren’t resolved, but I can live with them if the story is still good up to that point.  I can always mentally write the rest in my mind.  

Although, the worst cliff hanger ever was an 80s TV show called Alf. The MC was a lovable puppet alient whom the family was sheltering. In the last season, he was captured by the government. The next season's premier was going to be the family rescuing him. But the show got canceled, so it ended with him looking out of the back of the van as he wass driven off to be dissected.

15.  What's your favourite plotless fic you have written?

I’ve only done a couple of fics that could be called plotless, but my favorite is a funny one: “His Complete Package, A Fanfiction Parody” https://archiveofourown.org/works/5326562 It is an affectionate send-up of some fanfic tropes - I set it in Game of Thrones, but the tropes are pretty universal.  

28.  Any writing advice that works for you and you feel like sharing?

I think writing is so individual, and particularly in fanfic there is no wrong way to do it so long as you are writing what you want and having fun.  

I guess what works for me is to always try to make my approach to a line, character, or plot point interesting. Often if I get stuck it is because I’m personally not invested in what I’m writing.  Maybe it doesn’t advance the story enough, or take the characters or world in a new direction.  So I have to go back and think of something different.

For example, in Not Alone, the third chapter was always going to be young Kell meeting someone in Grey London who is kind to him and helps him, they sit on the park bench together, and the person gives him something which ignites his trinket smuggling hobby.  All those elements stayed the same.  But in the first drafts, that person was Barron.  Who was really my only option if I wanted a canon character.  I try to keep close to canon where I can.  I got the first chapter out, and … the chapter just wasn’t flowing.  So I came up with the OC character of Adrian, who was a much more dynamic character, and let me have all sorts of fun with the lore.  I didn’t want him to come out of nowhere, so I made him Ned Tuttle’s great-grandfather.  I was really happy with the result - I banged chapter three out pretty fast, and it is one of my favorite things I have ever written.
