I dunno if I already mentioned it but I absolutely love Pokemon AU Cedric- He does contests and his mons are a Roserade that used to belong to his uncle before he passed, a shiny Mega Gardevoir bc the black dress is just gorgeous, and a Milotic that he got during what I like to call his Failboy Fisher arc-

Basically he's from Unova but one time he went to Hoenn to visit family over the summer, and he set his sights on fishing up a Feebas- Except this man is just. Horrible at fishing. Cue a montage of this dude in a suit and a "women want me fish fear me" hat getting pulled into the water, having his lunch stolen by Wingulls, a Corphish clamped onto his arm, the works-

Kyogre gets freed and torrential rains sweep through the region, but despite protest from family and people trying to evacuate citizens to higher ground, Cedric goes out to keep fishing anyways- He probably got struck by lightning once or twice but HE FINALLY CAUGHT THE DARN FEEBAS- LITERALLY THIS IMAGE ASKLFJDS

anyway :D I imagine/plan a lot of stuff involing Jame-joe and his twin's doll bodies, enough that i made this ref (though i'm still deciding on their interior, maybe it'd be cool if they had some sort of mock skeleton in their torso but idk yet

they can like, feel touch but generally speaking they don't feel pain the way humans do. Like removing a limb isn't painful and so they'd do so frequently for stuff like reaching for things, I think Joey-janes would be the one giving Jame-joe a hand more often then the other way, not for any particular reason other than i want them to have distinct roles in their duo. despite being magically reinforced they're not made for like, harsh conditions or extended athletic ability so it doesn't take too much to break them, they're ball jointed with a few joints being exceptions so I think Jame-joe keeps a 'first aid kit' if you will of stuff for quick repairs (extra finger joints, a little wire hook for pulling elastic back into place, a sewing kit of course, and a bag of pixie-dust that can temporarily hold the magic that makes them together until they can get it properly repaired.

while Jame-joe handles repairs (when they're on their own) between them, Jame-joe only cares about being functioning/practicality so any other doll-body-Maintenace goes to Joey-janes

also just: sound effects: they could have a mario movie style emotional hug but instead it's all just *clink* *creek* *clankity*

anyway! I still have a lot of development on this story to do but i got a solid couple of other character concepts and just came up with the strange but i think might go hard idea of a vampire-snow white? if I'm going with a fairy-tale setting i might as well have fun with fairy tale characters lol

Absolutely loving the notes on what every little part is made of down to the blush! And the choice of onyx for the eyes is really nice since it's super opaque and shiny looking when it's polished

I looked it up and some of them have these bright white bands so I'm picturing a doll with like, that effect where an eye has an extra circle around it? Like this!

GOOD GOD, its been a decade since I last touched, or even heard of that game!

Got it when the PS4 released, and it was the first game ever played on it!

It was the first infamous game i played, and I fell in love with each of Delsin's powers, and abilities!

His powers were new and unique to me, and shattered my expectations, as I thought he was gonna have something generic, and mainstream, like fire bending, water powers, super strength, and power to fly, ETC...

At first, i thought the first powers he got was fire, but after reading tutarioul, HE WAS CONTROLLING LITERAL SMOKE.

I loved that... Man time flies too fast...

I dont know what this "Eilimtura" thing is you seem to be working on, but I would love to see someone do something with those kinds powers again, after all this time!

Would be very nostalgic to see.

Honestly I've planned to watch the Infamous series to both learn and, well, know more of the game because my curiosity is peeled ;w;. And, because of Xavi ask, I feel more invested towards it <3.

Admittedly I even looked at concept art of the abilities through the power of Google because I was curious of how they've done it nwn.

Eilimitura is, in a sense, my own creature taming game project ;u;. It is an idea I had since around 2013-2014, but never pursue further with it until 2018 where I started collecting designs first as I write the story I had in mind ( I do need to put them in script format to make it easier. The story itself is not done-done, as there have been some revisions and edits. Admittedly the story itself is much better now than it is back then ^^. Back then story, to give a snippet for the beginning ( It is NOT like that in the current story. I completely redid the story from scratch, after feeling so uninspired and dissatisfied with the original ), originally the player is in a train ride with their parents ( Originally the main character was intended to be a minor ), where they were returning back to their hometown after years in the city. Awoken from a bizarre "dream" where a mysterious voice have spoken to them. Letting them know that their choices can effect the lives of others and potentially the course of the world. And blah blah ehhh. I really didn't like this and the rest of the story tbh ;-;". The story felt too basic, there wasn't as much of a good hook, and admittedly at the time there were a couple of plot holes ( No ome pointed this to me because I've wanted the story itself to be a surprise. So story aspects I keep to myself. But I do reread them after certain lengths have reached ).

Current story is much different and I am much more satisfied with it nwn/. I still wish to keep the story to myself for the time being, as I still love to make it a surprise to others ( Once I reach to script format, I do plan to get second opinions from those close to me. And I will be firm with them being honest with me too. I don't want people to just pay me in the back and tell me everything is perfect, hiding away opinions of need of edits ;-; ) ;7;. But yes the genre is creature taming! Adventure, action, and sneak in a bit of horror element too ( Not too much! Just a bit ;D ).

Because of Xavi advice and suggestion, I admittedly do want to play around with lesser known elements!

I Will admit that I have decided to have the implementation of extra elements be sub-types that is manmade rather it being sort of natural ^^/. But to make them more special, in a sense, said sub-elements are only seen in some Eiluminias ( Rare creature variants. Think of shinies, but if it alter appearances in some way, change their elements, have them access to that specific elemental skills, and that's it ouo. ). Having only some Eiluminia be able to hold access to these specific elements would honestly make them feel even more worth-while to obtain. Not just have them be a trophy and that's it >u<.

Infamous will be an inspiration, yes yes! Of course I will have my own touch in a way >u<. Admittedly I did added a manmade element that did pop to mind to add. Pictus, or moreso Paint. That was a mix of inspiration of Splatoon ( I don't play the game but I know of the series ) and Namine from KH ( She doesn't paint. She moreso draws. But that artistic ability is what inspired the idea nwn ). Having art as more of a skill on creatures would be fun to play around with :D.

Quill’s Quills Update

Well, none of these are actually quills but! NEW PENS. *~FANCY~* new pens! ouo

Quill took advantage of the back to school sale and bought a neat bundle of cool brush pens and gel pens and shiny metallic pens and just--some really nice writing/art stuff! As practice and to learn how to better use these, y’all lovelies can expect an event coming up where you can request something for me to write with my new pens!

As for just a general update: Apologies for the lack of activity recently, but Quill’s planning on going back to school and the last minute phone calls and emails are uh. Stressful and rather time-consuming! But here’s hoping it all goes well and I get to have a fun semester~

Coming up soon, I’d like to do up a new updated version of the comic sans (or maybe not actually comic sans because I enjoy ~gRapHIc DEsiGn~ too much) powerpoint for Anchored Souls and a few excerpts with graphic edits? That is a fun thought-experiment... Yeah, if he dug around deep enough I Black could do something like that... Would keep her from even trying to get back to land if she biologically can’t.

Also I like the idea of a cuttlefish mer-reader huhhhehhu... Definitely cuddle fish with Black, he can entwine their tentacles a bit.. Which is a very weird sensation considering she’s just getting used to the sensation of having tentacles, let alone feel his on hers.

Her ‘living conditions’ are going to be the same as the fic, he’s going to trap her in one place and wait until she accepts to be his mate. Which he understand will take a while since being permanently tied to the ocean is one BIG change, and she didn’t even know he existed before he kidnapped her!

Red is going to be super alarmed when he sees her. She’s very obviously part human... And when he finds out that she was a human makes Red all the more, uh... unforgiving to Black. Don’t know if he’s going to make her his mate right off the bat after he rescues her, but... With a little time, perhaps. He’s definitely going to stay close to her and teach her all he knows about living in the ocean... And keep her away from Black.

as of right now there is no dub Viz Media, who most recently did the redub of sailor moon (AND ITS FANTASTIC BTW SO IT GIVES ME HIGH HOPES FOR MATSUS), had sent out a tweet saying that the dub was going to be released some time in October of this year but …nothing happened?? my buddy @arr-jim-lad even contacted them about it, and they responded that there were no updates to mention. ://///SO right now sub is all we got haha

ITS REALLY GOOD THO SO ITS NOT LIKE A NEGATIVE OR ANYTHING BC THESE VOICE ACTORS ARE AMAZINGdef my fave voice actors of any sub ive watched (and ive watched quite a few)

2. How do I know who’s who? I already know some of the easy ones, thanks to you.

one of my fave aspects of this show is that after a few eps, despite them all having the same face, it becomes VERY EASY to tell them apart haha this is part of why the character writing is so strong imo!

but here’s a few tips and tricks to look for just in case you cant tell right away!

the easiest thing to get the hang of first when it comes to noticing the matsus is def their designated colors! Even when theyre not in their trademark hoodies they can usually be seen wearing their colors somewhere on themselves so if you cant tell who’s who right away LOOK FOR THE COLORS!!

if theyre all wearing matching outfits you can look at their hair shinies bc they’ll usually be their color when nothing else is! (tho those are a bit more subtle in coloring bc ..well..shinies haha)

each of the bros has a standard neutral expression, and some of them have fun quirks that make it very easy to tell who’s who! lets start backwards this time \(ouo)/ (mostly bc from the start the youngest bros are def easiest to recognize…besides karamatsu ofc)

he’s the designated “cute” boy, and the worst/best self-centered millennial stereotype. actually a total mean girl in disguise, and (according to his bros) a “vile monster”. i love him and he’s a cute demon. not the worst bro but pretty darn close.

the hyper-active, forever smiling, incredibly powerful, baseball boy! if something weird and crazy is going on jyushimatsu is either directly involved or about to be. he’s always laughing, smiling and making weird jokes/noises. a very sweet boy who is entirely too powerful. He often dresses as animals, and is used as an “attack dog” to torture whichever brother he’s commanded to (usually oso). A very unpredictable boy to say the least. Its hard to imagine an ooc version of him bc there isnt much he would not do or say.HE IS MY FAVE BEST SUNSHINE BOY

neutral expression: 8Dvoice: lowest pitch of the bros but also the loudest, often making weird/nonsensical sounds/noises such as: BBBBOEHBA!! 8Dquirks: - often goes cross eyed - is incredibly strong, can lift and throw his adult brothers like nbd - never has eye shinies in the anime unless he’s about to cry - wears shorts when everyone else is wearing pants, also some times wears a traffic cone on his head- wiggly arms and sleeves too long (even when its not the hoodie, usually his sleeves are always too long haha)- only one hair sticking out on the top of his head

💜Ichimatsu (purple cat man)💜

the designated darkmatsu, ichi is the slow moving, constantly slouching, quietest boy who thinks cats are way better than people. the least motivated matsu, even going out to do fun things (like drinking or gambling) is some times too much trouble. for him a good time is laying on the floor and thinking about death (and also cats). a fan of torture, if the situation calls for causing trauma he’s suddenly very talkative and plays w his voice a lot. he is the second brother (after my boy jyushi) that is often called upon when one of the other brothers (or anyone) needs to be tortured. i love this boy and he is good to my fave boy god bless suujimatsu

neutral expression: B(voice: usually very low, slow and monotone quirks: - eyes always half lidded, no shinies - always slouched- messy hair (some times w cat ears)- only bro to wear track pants (w the line on the side)- has a diff cat in his lap almost every ep, but does not actually own one- two hairs sticking out on the top of his head

the resident brother mom and a total idol otaku, choromatsu isnt concerned w much else besides his idol obsession and proving he’s way more responsible than his brothers. he often walks todomatsu to the bathroom at night and waits for him to finish since youngest bro is scared of the dark (reminder theyre both grown men in their 20′s). he thinks he’s better suited to be the oldest brother and leader rather than osomatsu and even points it out once, with agreements from both todomatsu and ichimatsu.if anything crazy happens choro is the first to scream about it not being ok. he’s got the strongest will of all the brothers and can never be persuaded to change his mind about a situation. he’s not a fighter at all and usually chooses to stay on the sidelines even if he agrees w whatever the bros are fighting about (killing god for instance).he’s under constant stress bc he’s pretending to do his best while his brothers are terrible i love him give this poor green man a vacation

neutral expression: :voice: higher pitched, not as high as todo but still higher among the bros, and usually using it to yell @ brosquirks: - smallest pupils, no shinies (in the anime)- usually has a worried expression- wears plaid a lot- is irritated almost all the time - wont look for a job bc he’s determined to be an idol manager- no hairs sticking out on top of his head

karamatsu is EASILY the most recognizable matsu. w those amazing eyebrows, constant use and abuse of anime eyes, wild variety of glittery, revealing, and leather clothing its no wonder he’s called painful oh my god i love this man DID I MENTION HE SPEAKS RANDOM ENGLISH FOR NO REASON AND ITS GREATalso he’s probably the most caring brother who genuinely wants his brothers to be happy and know theyre loved very much by him ;;

THE TRASH KING BROTHER!!!!i kid, i kid sort ofimplying that the matsus are not all trash boys is just a joke tbqhfor me osomatsu was absolutely the hardest bro to recognize when i first watched the show, and i think the biggest tip i can give for him is just to look for the red boy scratching under his nose. also the boy who looks like he would buy and sell you. he’s a pretty brilliant con man and a good fighter too, but his laziness outweighs anything that he could possibly achieve in. he’s absolute trash but in a way still lovable?? OH ACTUALLY if youre familiar w the anime Lupin the Third just look for the brother that makes the most Lupin-esque faces he’s got that classic-anime-comedy-male-lead look more than any of the other bros so that might help you recognize him!

Ayyyy! It’s pretty fun, though you are deffo right in that it is a space hog. x_x

Overall, the only reason I haven’t yet been decimated by the difficulty climb is because of all these shiny 1st anniversary freebies. I haven’t run out of stuff to do (and I have plenty of accumulated stamina still) so it’s deffo one of the most engaging things I have at the moment. Whether the shine will stick remains to be seen, I’m already feeling the grind trudge trying to evolve some of the more elusive things (Miho amirite).

The art is very cute and has such a clean cohesive style throughout! The designs are very hit or miss tho. most of the super common creatures are just.. the sort of fodder you can find in any MMORPG, very forgettable. The good shit is in the rare territory which are certainly very nice in design! Just doesn’t quite blow me away in beauty like Otogi, but ey, high standards lol. (Little unfair cause overall I like 2D art better than 3D and considering the models they use for battles, I can see the constraints in keeping from more elaborate designs. Still, wishful thinking and all that.)

I’m still trying to figure things out and I’m not down from the new game high yet so I can’t say for long term engagement, but I’ll definitely try and give this game a good run. (ouo)b

       this is my first munday here so hi everyone~! quick introduction as well i suppose (sort of summarizing a few of the other munday things) -- i’m grey and i use they/them pronouns! i am a college senior, comp. sci. major. i’ve written for fun since i could actually write, but I’ve been roleplaying (krp specifically) since fall 2014! Do you prefer to brainstorm your plots or wing them? Do you have no preference in either?

i’m not so sure so far as what winging a plot would be -- i like to have a pretty good idea of what’s going to happen. not necessarily detail by detail, but having a good idea of the setting and how long a thread will go, if there might need to be any location changes or time skips possibly?? those are good things to discuss. you can’t always tell how a muse will react to things until you’re writing them in that moment, so it’s good to be flexible in regard to those changes too ouo

What kind of writing memes do you like, if any (sentence starters, drabble memes, head-canon memes, etc)?

i don’t particularly like sentence starters, as it’s hard for me to come up with fitting context for them. i love headcanon memes for sure but it’s a bit hard for me to say for anything else, as i’ve not had a lot of experience with them!

What’s the easiest way to plot with you? Alternatively, what is the easiest way to contact you for plotting?

i love animated stuff! most anime, western stuff like legend of korra, atla, steven universe, young justice, teen titans, etc.; i like action movies i guess? superhero stuff is pretty alright but uh pacific rim and mm: fury road are two of my favorite movies. unless it’s pretty gripping i have trouble paying attention (and also no matter what it is i usually prefer to watch with subs bc i always get a lot more out of it that way)

Would you be interested in the occasional group viewing of a movie/series/drama/cartoon/etc, if one were to be organized?

This has taken me two and a half hours to sort. I do have several shinies in Legends Arceus and Violet that will need to evolve qwq. I've plan to get all gender variants and almost all forms ( Only forms I won't get is Furfrou style, other Miniors, and all Alcremie flavors. Well... Alcremie I debate. Since the original plan was to have just 7 different Alcremie sweets. I have 7 shiny Milceries, although I wish it was 8 to have at least 1 remain as a pre-evolution ;-; ). My shiny hunting is on and off, hence no huge progress qwq

I did became unfortunate with missing out on some shiny events. This is moreso because of moments that is either irl circumstances that was happening during that time or the internet was down / not accessible.
