What's more is that it happens AS they brought everyone Willy killed back to life/erased some of the harm he did to others. So there is a non-zero chance one of the teens assumed not that Sparrow could turn into a wolf, but that a wolf was enchanted to turn into Lark by Willy and everyone just decided they were twins.

every so often i remember that the teens have never encountered another druid before and don’t know that wildshape is a thing that exists and i think it makes lovewolf sparrow better and in my head the teens had more of a reaction to seeing an adult turn into a wolf seemingly out of nowhere

the prophecy was a lie. Hero and Normal never needed to be trained. they never needed to be in DADDIES HQ. code purple could have been avoided.

more than that though, Lark was hoping so bad that he could redeem himself for unleashing the Doodler by killing it. but he didn't manage to do that, and a group of kids saved the day instead. the thing he dedicated his entire life to is over. there's one thing he's good at, killing monsters, and there aren't monsters to hunt anymore. I just can't imagine he's handling any of it particularly well.

If I had a nickel for every time a ttrpg comedy podcast I was interested in had a jump to an epilogue that included a PC confirming a relationship that took everyone including the dm by surprise just by calling the other person a pet name… and everyone went along with it and yeah they're together now.

Am I the only one who wishes the whole "the Doodler is an eldritch god with a mentality of a teenager who views the world AS THEIR FATHER" was expanded more on? Viewing the whole world as "your father" is such an interesting metaphor and I think they could've played with some unique concepts there. When the Doodler took a physical form I wish they made Dood be more curious about the world around them, viewing it as something greater than them (like a greater figure of authority, akin to a parent), basking in both it's positivity and lashing out at it's negativity (mimicking a teenager with a complex relationship with their father). Having Dood's viewpoint on the world and humanity parralel the teens own relationship with their dads. Or even reading Dood's "doodlerification" of humans as subconscious teen rebellion, a childish and naive way to cope with your troubles by releasing wrath upon other people. Getting angry at your "parents". There are so many fun allegories and metaphors that could've been expanded on imo that sadly didn't get a chance in the spotlight :(
