After a small hiatus I'm regaining interest in DnD (5e). I'm mainly a dm, but I've gotten to play a couple of times and it's always such a joy. My objective now is to dm a campaign I've had in the works for years.

I wanted to share some characters I've played! First my favourite, and used the longest. Xander of Candlekeep a.k.a. Xander the Great.

(Lvl 3 09/22 - Lvl 5 11/22 - Lvl 7 03/23)

Grew up in the Library-City of Candlekeep as an acolyte. Loves books and stories but he is not that great at learing, he's big tho, so they made him a guard. His dream was to be a renowned wizard, but everyone laughed at him and nicknamed him "Xander the Great" (as in big and clumsy, idk if the pun works well in ENG).

One day he was guarding a forbidden section and couldn't stop a mysterious person from taking a "How to be a Lich for Dummies" book. He left the city in search of the stolen tome, trying to learn magic and help people along the way with his new friends.

I love the build I made for him. He's a Human Fighter (Eldritch Knight subclass) with the Ritualist feat. That way he can dedicate all his class spells to combat focused stuff, and fill the book of rituals with utility spells, like a true wizard! His familiar is an owl names Egagròpila (pellet in catalan).

That way I covered the weak spots in the existing party (in need of a tank, someone with INT, and some utility).

I played him for a year from lvl 3 to lvl 14, when we finished the campaign, and let me tell you, it was crazy fun playing him at high levels. Such a fun experience. I love this game.
