Mryrzindrax: Status: Alive Gender: Male Race: Black Dragon Alignment: Chaotic Evil Personality Traits: - Malevolent: I love telling younglings they are going to fail. The more you tell them, the more they believe it. The cycle always repeats for me delight. - Patient: Where the young minds seeks to obtain, I seek to keep. - Adaptive: Times are changing, to keep your mind in the past, you won't live up to reach the future. - Jealous: If you can't beat them, then trap and destroy them. Claim their feats as your own.
Background: Mryrzindrax is an ancient black dragon who lived in the swamps of the north of the Sword Coast. For centuries, he terrorized those lands, tricking adventurers and trade caravans to their dooms with his army of lizardfolk and kobolds, while allowing other dragons and wyverns to do the same while paid him in gold. His long life has been a calm one, notably lacking any ambitious goals other than entertain himself, he patiently observed over the towns of the sword coast, ever eager and waiting to see their downfall in the hands of incompetence and natural disasters, typical of those bipedal folks. However, those fateful days never came. Boostered by adventurers and peoples unwilling to surrender, the cities thrived despite all adversities, all dangers. The Cult of the Dragon, however, reformed under Severin brought him an interesting proposal after all, for an alliance with them and return of the dragon queen would cause the swift end of all those cities he watched over the years. If once unwilling to join forces with the cult due to his aversion to dracoliches, now he gave the cultists safe travel through his lands to fill the hoard gift for the dragon queen. He however, did very little to actively help the cult. Waiting to see if it was actually worth it. Well, it wasn't, the cult and the dragon queen were defeated by the united armies of the sword coast and bands of adventurers. Past eventual failures and an odd pleasure to see the cult failing in the end. Mryrzindrax begun to wonder if opposing the bipedal races was a smart move after all. Vanquishing plot after plot, scheme after scheme, times were changing and he should change accordingly too. Mryrzindrax begun experimenting with chemical defoliants and insect plagues. His goal was to form the clear frontiers of his realm against the bipedal races, destroying farmlands and making land impossible to raise livestock safely, he showed his cunning to them and soon representatives would try to settle a deal with them. His realm was safe, or so he thought, for the will of the bipedals to brave over the unknown would never cease. One particular day, coming from the southern mountains, a young red dragon arrived to his lands. The young one soon had to face his army, but attracted his attention before he was killed. This youngling was Launairk. Mryrzindrax offered him shelter in exchange of a payment in gold, and soon was entertained to watch the red dragon try to scare and steal caravans that passed through his land, ever so bold to ignore the treaty it was signed. The young red dragon wished to make an empire of his own, based on trade and subjects who loved him. Mryrzindrax entertained the idea by mocking its little possitibility to come to reality. 'Far wiser and stronger dragons than you already tried. They are all dead now.' Launairk's dream was a doubt even before he could ever pleasure to imagine it... 'Once you fail, little one, come back here. I will own you a favor for being so entertaining to watch you fail.'

A little thing made for my Tiefling Bard, Stray whom I got to use very recently in a one-shot. The first two characters with him are temporary party members he had for a job, whereas the "half-elf" in the rest of it is his story's main antagonist. Both his former emplyer, and abuser.
Stray is a big people person, but has a difficult time communicating important information he desperately needs to get out due to a curse placed on him by his former employer, Dimitri Courtenay. The YouTube description has a very basic summary of what that info is, just about as much as the video itself presents what he knows and how it haunts him even while he's far away and in a place that has a great deal of safety. Dimitri has left a lasting impression on him so while he is actively looking for help in dealing with them, he's still afraid and often second-guessing his goals because of the abuse and manipulation he endured during his time with them.

The quality of D&D actual play shows has only steadily increased over time. Every player is better than when they started, every DM is better, every member of each production crew is better, the editing and sound design in the podcasts is better, the encounter design is better, etc… I absolutely love the stuff from 5+ years ago and it’s only a testament to the people involved that they’ve made things better. We’re living at the best possible time for D&D content and there’s enough variety that you can find something to your taste. And that’s just great.

Uh oh, Gamers. I've got a new DnD character. Melete (she/they- pronounced "Mih-lee-tee") is a CN Centaur Dream Cleric for the setting/campaign "Black Ballad" by Storyteller's Forge! The premise is- everyone in the party has died and the adventure takes place in the afterlife.
She began life as a playful, benevolent fey who eased the dreams of human children and led them on fun little adventures through the woods.
As The War (tm) approached her territory, she became progressively more desperate and violent to protect both her fey and the children.
We're starting the game at level 11, so by the time she died (in glorious battle,) she was a guerilla commander/witch leading her fey comrades to sabotage warmachines and kill soldiers.
Anyway, I just came up with her Monday and I am Attached.

When the DM gives you a chiseled gargoyle on the verge of death who is supposed to die immediately after giving a short warning about an oncoming horde and you interrupt his death speech because you deserve a sexy little treat.
usually the DM gets annoyed because the PCs interrupt a villain monologue to attack how about interrupting a dying ally monologue to flirt
