I know Riddle is always portray as a doctor due to his family but considering his unique magic, I think a judge is more suitable for him.
Since he's always authoritative during his time as housewarden back in NRC and since he has memorised all 810 rules, it's no surprise that he can do the same for the law.
But here's the juicy part: since he has the law by his side, he can bend some to however he pleases especially declaring mc guilty or not, he could even sentence mc for house arrest in his house and even control the police force in a way (or ask Deuce)
I agree!!!! I have this headcanon that, though Riddle's expected to study medicine and become a magic doctor like his parents, he actually wants to pursue a profession in law. There are a few hints in twst that show he's interested in law, so imagining him as a judge or a lawyer is always fun!! <3
But then that makes him all the more dangerous if he has the law at his side. ;;;; and since he knows the laws like he knows the back of his own hand, he could easily find loopholes and ways to exploit and tiptoe around certain things. Imagine he's the judge you go to so he can review your restraining order against [insert twst guy here, although I like to imagine Floyd hehe] and Riddle uses your vulnerabilities and the law to his advantage so he can keep just fearful enough to keep coming back to him (or keeping in close contact with Officer Spade, who can alert Riddle should anything happen and he'll be more than happy to help in any way he can).
Aaaaaa something about corrupt people in law who use it to their advantage (or to hide behind it as a form of protection when they do something illegal) is always so delicious to consider in yandere... orz because it could never be him, right? Surely not. He's with the law! Why would he ever do something that goes against it and could potentially get him in big trouble? He's the least suspect ever. :) and all while he plays a perfect, sweet, law-abiding judge, you remain shackled in his home. If Riddle waits long enough, they might even declare you dead in absentia. He's studied (and presided over) his fair share of missing persons cases that have made it to court. He knows what not to do so he won't end up before a judge much like the other sorry fools who have stood on trial before him.
He holds the gavel and, unfortunately, the law in the palms of his hands. You can't outsmart that which is already two steps ahead.
(Also, in book six Azul mentions how nice and convenient it would be to have a friend who is attached to and knows the law when he's in a bind. Thinking about Riddle who helps Azul cover up your kidnapping so that the both of them can share you in secret.........)
#twisted chit chat#yandere twst#riddle is playing 4d mind chess while you're still trying to escape his basement by dislocating your ankle#it's impossible T_T

idk having chronic pain with perfectly normal mris and xrays and no other visible signs of injury has made me feel crazy about any other pain i experience. literally got easily injured syndrome and moderate constant pain yet apparently nothing is actually damaged in there beyond a tiny bit of early wear and tear. so now whenever i do think ouch maybe i’m injured, Anywhere on my body, i think nah my brain is inventing pain again and nothing could possibly be wrong. but it still hurts so bad either way lmfao
#nothing will teach you to dismiss pain like having doctors look at your painful joints and say nope! nothing broken or torn! bye!#and yet i can dislocate any finger with the lightest pressure and i can feel things in my ankle shifting when i relax my foot#which is the thing i think hurt it this time#like?? wym no damage? are you sure????#anyway#they’re just gonna tell me to rest it so idk#p

my skeleton is held together with overstretched rubber bands and a whole lotta hope
#connective tissue disorder#hypermobility#If I hang upside down by my ankles I have to tighten my leg muscles to stop my ankles from stretching too far#I can slide/pull my ball-and-joint sockets apart without dislocating them#If i sit wrong my knee will subluxate until I unbend it all the way#and it hurts more and more until it pops back into place#I can stretch and pop my back just by bracing my elbows on my knees and relaxing my back muscles while breathing out#when I stretch my back and sternum pop#my sister says I sound like I'm made of legos

My cousin was trying to complain to me about how, when she dislocated her knee and told my sister about it, my sister tried to relate by telling our cousin how she went two weeks with her knee dislocating repeatedly once - and my cousin was mad solely because she didn't believe my sister and said "it's not possible to go that long with a dislocated joint" because from her singular experience it was too painful... And I was like girly I hate to break it to you but my sister has joint hypermobility which causes joints like her knees to dislocate or subluxate stupidly easy, and yes it absolutely is possible to go that long with it and I know this because I also have joint hypermobility and have gone an entire month with my shoulder dislocating repeatedly before. Like, news flash, people with disabilities get pretty fucking used to their chronic pain sometimes. I didn't even know my shoulder was out because my back pain is such a constant that the shoulder pain blended right in. Idk I guess my point here is, not believing someone's injury because their level of pain doesn't meet your standards is bullshit in general, but especially if you don't even know if that person is disabled in some way and therefore you base their wellbeing off of your own able bodied self. Shut up.
#disability#I've dislocated and subluxated my knees shoulders elbows wrists fingers toes and ankles man#Sometimes it's very obvious very painfully quickly (like my elbows and ankles) but other times it blends in w other pain#God the elbows are the worst. I can't use my arm the rest of the day even if I get it back in#I have had dislocating joints since I was THREE and I still REMEMBER my elbow dislocating at baby church and-#-having to be rushed to the doctor because I was screaming and crying and they had to put it back in place it hurt so fucking bad#Over the years I had to learn how to do it myself so now I usually can on my own#My shoulders also rotate pretty much constantly which sets my sternum out it place too it fucking sucks#Whatever#I was mad but couldn't take it out on her bc she's 14 and ignorant but I needed to rant#If your instinct is to go “I don't believe this person because what is visible of their level of pain isn't as high as I think it should be#Then you should shut up.

I'm actually kind of mad after wearing a knee brace (with patella support!) for 2 days because I just went down for breakfast not wearing it and my kneecap was wobbling loosely in its socket like it's done for years and I could FEEL how wrong it was and just had the biggest "you LIVE like this??!" moment and now i GUESS I am wearing a knee brace every time I go near stairs forever because it turns out it's not ideal if parts of your body have their own plans for every joint movement.
Mobility aids <3
#mad at myself for not even noticing it was weird even though I've known I have the stretchy joints for years now#honestly I need a full like. Scientific observation from behind glass hooked up to machines and doing silly little tasks for science week#please find out what is happening in here#I also got 1 ankle support and out of curiosity slept in it last night#and omg one foot resting upright made me realise how much the other was flat on the bed#when I lay on my back#the same thing that got me diagnosed in the first place#the rheumatologist who'd just told me I don't have cancer because of the bloodwork had me lie down to examine#he took one look at my flat fuck friday feet and like actually yelled in alarm and recoiled#which took some explaining#anyway he poked and prodded me but he already had said 'oh you have hypermobility and it's given you fibro'#this is why specialists also have to keep up with all the other medicines too :P#(i spent a weekend with my medic friend recently and she has Stories oh my god)#(was too busy talking to look at my feet even as I told her I'd dislocated my ankle and knee as we talked XD)#POINT IS I'm very slow to notice things about my condition#I quit chocolate for a year because I worried it was giving me migraines#and was too busy having migraines to notice the chocolate wasn't what gave me migraines

idk if other people experience this but i think the bad thing abt being naturally flexible is that it takes a lot more effort to crack my back/other joints in a satisfying way when i need to
#i think i am like clinically hypermobile except my joints sprain/dislocate easier and its hard to get like. comfortable sometimes#like my back ankles knees and elbows crack all the time but its never like. the great relief i am looking for

i hate the bad joint syndrome all my enemies are inside it
#my shoulder decided to give up overnight and pop out again . because it sucks and it hates me#now i keep impulsively shifting it around and that makes the pain More and it Suck. It suck bad. rrrrrrrr#usually it's my ankles that pop out the worst but at this point my ankles are nigh constantly pronated so. i'm so used to it i barely notic#but this shoulder . oughrg#when i was younger and stupider i would dislocate and relocate this shoulder all the time On Purpose because I was young and stupid#and my hypermobility was my Party Tricks. u know. how it is#<- said as though i don't still sometimes show off my joint fuckery for purposes of freaking people out#anyway. i think because i did that it just further damned this shoulder#regardless. ow.#i tried a stretch that online recommended and felt my Other shoulder pop instead so that was a fuckin. lie#clamtalk

My physio is proud of how much progress I’ve made! I’m going to get a good grade in ‘not severely spraining my ankles every damn day’, which is both normal to want and possible to achieve
#she's going to get me some proper orthotics! FINALLY!#I also finally got around to showing her the dislocatey shoulders today#because we've been so focused on my dodgy ankles and unstable neck#that it's taken us FIVE APPOINTMENTS to even look at the joints that dislocate most lol#and she just went. oh. that's not good. don't do that anymore.#the problem is carrying any sort of weight pulls them out of the sockets#but 1) lift life 2) my gender is gym bro 3) I am pathologically compelled to pack any rucksack full-to-bursting#so she gave me the whole lecture about dividing loads and never lifting more than 15Kg#I smiled and nodded#then grabbed my bag to go and pulled my shoulder out again#and we both just stared at it and then each other#I'm sorry ma'am I swear I was listening#chronic health#chronic health bullshit#radley rambles#hEDS#EDS
