This is a livable space.#I've helped out friends and family who were struggling and let me just say...I have seen some pretty dysfunctional living spaces.#Hell I've *lived* in some very dysfunctional living spaces.#Hording dishes under the bed was always something that grossed me out but it's unfortunately something I've seen people do way too often.#The horror everyone has upon walking into WWX's 'living' set up is so consistently 'Mate how are you living like this?'#It's honestly so integral to me that WWX's 'just left home for the first time' house/room be a depression/dysfunction pit.#You can learn a lot about someon's state of mind from how they keep their living space...and this guy is oozing 'deep depression'.#I don't think he's eaten anything but foods that classify as a struggle meal in a year.#Everyone is trying to stage an intervention but he just isn't in a good enough place to help himself.#By the way: I want to steer away from shaming people who have messy homes/rooms because life *does* hit hard sometimes.#My love language is coming into your home to do your dishes and do some housework. Don't apologize for the mess king.#Nothing could top some of the places I've had to help my older siblings out of.#I'd be okay with my flatmate having a severed limb and a blood pool at this point.#As long as he lets me take out the dishes from under the bed - We're good! My standards are so low at this point.

i think one of the biggest scams i've seen in my lifetime is the idea that it looks better to have to have all matching mugs, preferably that match your dishes
reblog and tell me about your coffee mug
#i never want to see a dish set come with mugs again#(actually i change my mind i just realized i could give them away as gifts#and my friends would have mugs that match my dishes#but only for fancy dish sets not the soulless ones from walmart)#i trend minimalism and matching aesthetics in real life so i AM the target audience for that kind of thing#and theres honestly nothing i love more than asking my friends about their unique things#and you lose that when you all have soulless matching mugs#my favourite mug is a 20oz thats half glazed and unglazed pottery#reminds me of living in yellowknife with miles and the coffees we made during covid#my previous favourite mug was a gift from my mom#an awesome 20oz mug with a cute downward dog with dog drawing

At the start of this project all I wanted was to 'learn how to draw' using comics as a medium and the MDZS audio drama as inspiration.
I've come *very* far from making simple, 3 panel black and white comics, and I truly do intend to go even further. Thank you to everyone who cheered me on throughout 2023, it has been an incredible year in so many ways I never could have imagined. I look forwards to drawing throughout 2024 B*)

#poorly drawn mdzs#art summary#It's so interesting looking back at how my style and technique changed throughout the year!#I used PD-wwx as the consistent factor (October is an exception) and you can see so many processes going on.#My little petri dish amoeba (with a little red bow to tell him apart from the other amoeba) <3#Whether it's getting new markers or trying out a new shading style - it's cool seeing a snapshot of my journey like this B*)#There's certainly been a slower curve to my overt improvement *but* I have become so much faster!#My life outside of drawing has been hectic and at several points extremely stressful this year. For all the work this blog has been-#-It has truly been a life saving anchor when the darkest of times have hit.#Love is hard work. Change is even harder work. Sticking to a goal I set out for myself and striving to keep going was worth it.#And I love drawing. I think there has always been something in me that longed for this. And it is finally tangible! I can draw!!!#I wanted to make a more elaborate year reflection where I looked back at my favourite comics and jokes.#but I'll leave that to the one year anniversary.#I have also been collecting a ton of statistics throughout the year and I am desperate to share them. *Sephiroth is in his office, where an alarming pile of letters is stacked on his desk. Angeal, Genesis, and Zack walk in*
Angeal: What's with all the letters?
Sephiroth: It appears the local elementary school decided to have students type their Santa letters on school computers this year. Unfortunately, the system's autocorrect replaced "Santa" with my name.
Genesis: Oh, this is priceless. The great Sephiroth, recipient of children's capitalist delusions. What do they even want from you?
Sephiroth: I'm appalled by how these children view Santa Claus as nothing more than a symbol of greed. "Dear Sephiroth, I want a playstation, a pony, and for my little brother to disappear forever. Love, Jessica."
Zack: Classic Jessica.
Sephiroth: "Dear Sephiroth, my dad said I can't have a pet lizard, but I think you're cooler than my dad, so you'll give me one, right? Love, Ricky."
Genesis: These brats are bold. I like it.
Sephiroth: And here's the most disrespectful one so far. "Dear Sephiroth, I want my own private island with a dragon, but not like a scary dragon, more like a cute dragon that matches my aesthetic and has good vibes. Love, Zack."
*Everyone looks at Zack*
Zack: Oh, come on! Zack is a super common name. So just because some ungrateful brat asked for an island and a pet dragon, you guys automatically assume it's me? You guys suck! I'm so much better than that!
Sephiroth: "P.S.: Actually make it two dragons, that way my buddy Cloud Strife can have one too. We're gonna name them Shredder and Ripper."
Zack: Hell yeah.

do people know that the dishwasher only uses like 4 gallons of water per run. thats like 2 minutes of shower. do people know it's not constantly spraying new water in there. it does like 3-4 batches of water per load. gang. dishwashers are super water efficient
#m talks#i get what that post is saying about manipulative advertisement#but the big issue i see w that ad about running your dishwasher every night is that it's making a false equivalence#just because it IS more water efficient to run a half load in the dishwasher than to /hand wash those dishes/#doesnt mean you cant just leave the dishes in the washer and run a full load in the dishwasher the next day#and for gods sake dont use dishwasher pods those are just as bad as filling your laundry detergent cup up to the brim#you dont need that much soap esp for a half load lol#if you just use the prewash setting you dont have to worry about the dishes being in there long enough to dry out. it will be fine
