From the shadows of ancient lore to the relentless wilderness of the modern world, prepare to be consumed by terror in author Ken Austin's electrifying supernatural thrillers, Rally of the Damned: The Wendigo Awakens and Rally of the Damned II: The Skinwalker Chronicles. This chilling series blurs the line between the living and the undead, thrusting readers into a battle against forces as old as time itself.
"Rally of the Damned: The Wendigo Awakens" is a supernatural thriller set against the rugged backdrop of the Black Hills during the legendary Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. The story follows a group of motorcycle riders whose gathering turns into a battle for survival as an ancient evil—embodied by the Wendigo, a creature from Native American folklore—awakens. As eerie legends begin to manifest, a sinister force unleashes chaos, turning the rally into a battleground where riders and townsfolk alike are drawn into a terrifying fight for their lives. Through gripping chapters like "Whispers in the Black Hills" and "Firefight at Dusk," the novel weaves a tale of bravery, friendship, and resilience, as riders clad in leather face off against an insatiable darkness. This story combines themes of brotherhood, sacrifice, and redemption, drawing readers into a relentless journey where the roar of engines meets the chilling howl of spirits. It's a thrilling, unforgettable ride.
"Rally of the Damned II: The Skinwalker Chronicles" weaves a gripping tale of supernatural terror set against the raw, rebellious energy of the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota. Friends Charlie, Jason, Ted, and Travis, seasoned rally-goers, face a new danger when a Skinwalker—a fearsome creature from Navajo legend—emerges, fueled by vengeance and dark rituals. As bodies with horrific, ritualistic wounds start to appear, fear spreads through the biker community. Joined by allies like the enigmatic Spirit Rider and brave Sierra, the group prepares to fight this ancient evil with silver bullets, sacred chants, and ancestral knowledge. Together, they form a courageous front, intertwining age-old lore and modern resolve to protect their community from an otherworldly threat.

The first European to discover Monterey Bay was Juan Rodríguez Cabrillo on November 16, 1542 while sailing northward along the coast on a Spanish naval expedition. He named the bay Bahía de los Pinos, probably because of the forest of pine trees first encountered while rounding the peninsula at the southern end of the bay.

When I went to adopt one of the corn snakes I stuck my hand into both terrariums to see how they would react. When I stuck my hand into Helios’ terrarium, I knew I sensed his energy. He came close to my hand, was a bit skittish, yet curious. It’s only been 3 days now since I’ve had Helios, and he’s already comfortable with me handling him. I went to put him back in the cage and he threw a fit and climbed my arm (there’s a giant branch I set him on), & so I didn’t want his core temperature to drop so I had to gently put him back. He ends up climbing the branch, poking his head out, and climbing back on me when I put my hand out again because I couldn’t resist, it was too sweet! I am so happy I am tearing up. He is so special to me, grateful for this little noodle, welcome home Helios! 😍🥹😭🥰🐍💚
