Could I get a little context about the "DinoDad!Starscream" AU?

I just read the post of the ask you recently answered, and I find the scenario interesting, but I could use a little bit of context, if you don't mind 😅

Yeah, I decided to give that specific AU a proper tag with 'Dino!Dad au' to make it easy to consolidate all the posts about it.

Overall, it's a TFP divergence of the Rogue!Starscream based on an ask sent in. Basically, Starscream made completely different decisions where he managed to find a Primal Artifact with the capabilities to revive Cybertron from sheer desperation and pure gambling... only to have it disintegrate in his hands. The Emberstone then utilized the bones within the pool it was housed for an eternity to bring back a little Predacon femme to life along creating a brand new line of beastformers with a baby Utahraptor and Deinosuchus bones.

Starscream isn't in a really good mental space prior to this, so he gets weird dreams and audio-visual hallucinations of his dead trinemates that implore him to take them in. I'm keeping vague on whether or not he's having a complete breakdown due to Seekerkin quirks as he's essentially alone and without resources or if Skywarp and Thundercracker are really speaking from beyond the grave since the Aligned verse is just that wild.

Bottom line, I've been receiving a lot of asks in regards about this AU since last year, and I'm going back into it since I've given it more thoughts where to take it as I really want to explore the concept where Starscream remains a rogue, delve into Predacon species and their relationship to modern Seekerkin, the (mis)adventures of a father with his animalistic and semi-feral children, Starscream forming friends/acquaintances with a random rural community and the local college, and actually has the power to actually make a decision on whether or not to rejoin the war on either side...

Plus, I think it would be absolutely hilarious for both sides to go 'pstpstpspt' to him for different reasons. Autobots since Tempest, the littel Predacon femme, has the capability to seek out Energon deposits as her sensors are more finely tuned and far more advanced than modern equipment, and the majority believe that Starscream has no parental instinct or will allow M.E.C.H. access to them. Deceptions as Starscream has now become the foremost expert in extinct frames and the only mech with healthy sparklings, so Shockwave can't let that professionally slide and Soundwave would like to hear pattering little pedes to tell himself that the movement was worth it as those three wouldn't have the yoke of the Golden Age upon them.

“Unpack Your Heart”, and Jake's request is that Stevie sing it for him 😭

I really loved that Stevie sang for Jake on the drive from the hospital, he's such a good big brother. Do you think we'll get to see more of Stevie singing? Maybe he and BradBrad will sing together for Jake to keep his spirits up when he's at his sickest. And now I've made myself sad, so I'm going to imagine the DinoDads doing silly things to make everyone laugh.

Jake would absolutely want Stevie to sing it. But he could never actually ask Stevie that. They don’t have that kind of relationship. They are: Annoyed Big Brother and Annoying Kid Brother. They can’t get all mushy around each other 😂 whereas Mary reads her brothers like a children’s book.

Stevie actually hates Bradley, simply because he’s dating his little brother. He thinks Jake having a boyfriend is great in theory but not in practice. He comes around though 😂 and yessss singing ❤️❤️❤️❤️😭

Oh the Dino Dads 😂 Mav tries to sing and they all offer him money to never ever do that again.

1. Given Null's Lusus killing track record, it shouldn't be surprising that Null killed this guy's dad. Poor Dinodad. :')

2. Excirz made the DnD Paladin equivalent of an Oath / Vow to always look after and protect Parlus. Every day Parlus is in Null's grasp is another day Ex is in agony. lol.

3. His dog Toska is officially a disability aid animal! Toska is trained to listen for sounds that are important for Ex to know about but can't really pick up on easily.

I'm just kidding, here's a snippet about them:

The names for the two more unfamiliar beast-modes came far more easier for Starscream. Quickstrike for the more mobile one as they scurried everywhere, pitching out a low, terrifying vocalizations that seem to echo throughout the cave. The name derived from the large, sharp talon on a spread, segmented pede -more akin to a servo and startlingly similar to the Earth avian creatures- used to hook across surfaces with little care. Undertow for the other as it suited the aquatic nature, disappearing down in the pools to wait for Starscream to venture into it and ram against his legs as well as the proclivity for scurrying underneath to trip him over like an overexcited turbo-hound or a durasteel brick of photovoltaicat sitting in the most inconvenient spot to its master.

The Predacon, however, proved more difficult...

Skywarp whispered his tribe's tales in Starscream's left audial, and Thundercracker murmured in the right one; their ghosts as haunting as the little one's blazing pink optics, tracking him quietly in that predatory manner.

It wasn't an focused sight of a small, clever creature, but with a gaze that shined with intelligence.

Starscream's throat constricted, intakes clicking and shuttering as he tried to dig through the buried memories of Skywarp's heritage. The little one was a Wild thing, so it was best to give a name suited by his Wilder trinemate's standards.

Vosians had done it by combining celestial power and future aspirations for the newspark or mentee. Praxians followed a tradition by imbuing a name with hunting. Those raised in the Wastelands were a brutal, practical people, and they have a waiting period to see what potential abilities emerge as well as to see if the newsparks survived in the first three cycles.

It took three months, but eventually Starscream settled on Tempest to honor the massive storms that once plagued Cybertron's surface and Thundercracker's own name as she once devastated a battlefield with sonic booms and for a similar nature to his former Right-Wing. A quiet, steady presence by his side, dropping a hunk of Energon crystal into his lap as the Predacon nipped the others into line, often herding them back from the opening of the cavern. There was a gentleness that he would never expect from the long-extinct species, but it wasn't a weakness as he witnessed the ferocity in that frame, a roar that cowed the others into submission and the strength and tactics to back it up.

Perhaps Thundercracker (along with Skywarp because he never turned down a setup with explosive raw chaos nor had he denied Thundercracker anything in life) had managed to bargain with Primus and Unicron to give Starscream a child of her own temperament because who else but the Creator and the Unmaker could give life to extinct frames and create new ones from organic bones?!
