Thinking many are dingos and don’t know it. Here’s my case:

- many people do not know that dingos are their own seperate species, and not just feral dogs or an ancient dog breed.

- wolves and other popular animals get a lot of rep while dingos don’t really have any

- they are more diverse than many believe, and if it weren’t for politics that would probably have several subspecies and already are known to have three eco types

- they live in all sorts of environments including snow, mountains, desert, coastal, tropics, bush, forest, plains

- pre-colonial times there were two kinds - camp dingos and wild dingos

- some are completely wild, some feral, some pets, and everything in-between

- they come in a massive range of shape, sizes, fur patterns and length

- they can do WELL (not just manage) as both pets and completely wild (wild as in hunting on their own - not feral / living off of human stuff)

ok I just wanted to rant about dingos thank you very much and I want more folks to kinsider being a dingo because they always go to other canids first and I want dingo friends

I think it's an interesting thought! I know that I'm not a dingo since I know my caninekin is fluffier like a wolf, but it's something some people might want to take a look at!

Not the normal content here, but related. I sketched some prototype ideas for anthro sonas based on some of my theriotypes.

They're a dingo named Dixie, a serval named Bender, and a burrowing owl named Georgia (goes by George). I thought about combining animals but it feels more right to have a few separate ones since I feel so different between these identities.

New theriotype unlocked: Dingo

Have you ever thought about looking into having a canine theriotype before? Like if you want it so badly maybe you just are it and you haven't come to accept that's what you are yet?

See ok I've looked into canines and canids and even some feliforms like hyenas before, and I've covered nearly everything unless there's some obscure species I've missed.

I know for certain it can't be a domestic dog theriotype because I've been around actual dogs and that's what made me completely sure I'm not a dog therian. Literally nothing lines up.

Other then that... I've worn canine identities before. I've "been" a wolf therian in the past, as well as a coyote and a dingo and a jackal and a maned wolf and every species of fox I could find.

And ultimately at the end of the day I know I'm not a canine because I know my reasoning behind it: I want to be a canine. I WANT to find some theriotype that's going to help me fit in. Same reason I want a feline one so badly: I want to fit in with the majority of a community that I feel like an outsider in.

It's not a good faith search for answers like my sable search was, it's me looking for a way to feel included in a community based around identity.
