Dip for Dinner
Do you like dip? Dill dip and pretzels. If you were here, what would you like to dip? Crackers? Chips? Tell me...what is your favorite dip?
Want to sit across the table from me and share this bowl of dip?
Consider this...As the day unfolds and the routine of life carries on, there comes a moment when the desire for a break from seriousness and a touch of imagination and fun take over. The invitation to sit with me at the table is a conscious choice to shift gears, stepping away from the mundane and inviting you to take a deep breath and enter into the conversation.
Imagine a scenario where the responsibilities of the day begin to wane, and there's a yearning for laughter, shared smiles, and a bit of fun. This invitation isn't just about filling the air with words; it's an intentional effort to explore the lighter side of life, seeking out topics that spark joy, fond memories, or even a touch of spontaneous silliness.
The conversation might delve into childhood adventures, favorite movies that never fail to bring a smile, or even imaginative 'what if' scenarios that transport us to a world of playful fantasy. It's an opportunity to share, tell about quirky preferences, and perhaps even to uncover shared interests that might have been overlooked in the rush of daily life.
This invitation isn't bound by a specific setting—it could happen over a casual dessert, during an after dinner walk, or even as a text message. It's an acknowledgment that, amidst the responsibilities and challenges of daily adulting, there's an inherent need to tap into the wellspring of playfulness and fantasy that often resides within each person.
So, when I invite you to eat food with me?, it's an encouragement to embrace the lighter side of life, fostering imagination, fantasy and shared moments that may leave both of us wanting more.

Dill Dip Recipe
Ingredients:
1 cup sour cream
1 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons fresh dill, finely chopped
1 tablespoon fresh chives, finely chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Prepare the Herbs: Finely chop the fresh dill and chives. If you don't have fresh dill, you can also use dried dill, but fresh herbs provide a more vibrant flavor.
Mix the Base: In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine sour cream and mayonnaise. Stir until well blended.
Add Flavorings: Add the chopped dill, chives, minced garlic, and fresh lemon juice to the sour cream and mayonnaise mixture.
Season: Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste. Start with a pinch of each and adjust according to your preference.
Combine Well: Mix all the ingredients thoroughly until well combined. Ensure that the herbs and seasonings are evenly distributed throughout the dip.
Chill: Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the dill dip for at least 1-2 hours. Chilling allows the flavors to meld and intensify.
Serve: Once chilled, give the dip a final stir and transfer it to a serving bowl. You can garnish with a sprig of fresh dill or additional chives.
Pairing Suggestions: Serve the dill dip with an assortment of crackers or pretzels.

Vegan Cauliflower Fritters
These delicious cauliflower fritters are inspired by a Palestinian dish known as ‘mshat’. They’re often eaten as a breakfast or snack (but we usually enjoy them as a light lunch!) and they’re served with a spicy tomato and dill dip called ‘dagga.’
