Notes: This is what I was working on all up until November! I wanted to finish it in time for a fan event, but, it didn't quite happen in time that way. (Maybe I can finish it later this year?!) For now, please enjoy the preview! I was also working on this together with a mutual - the track choice was mainly their idea, but I was trying to help find scenes that'd fit, and I managed to make quite a few moments work; You'll notice it's slightly different from my usual styles, but I'm also trying to relate specific moments and framing rather clearly here!!

(I'll admit theres a couple lines I thought were harder to work with; I'll figure those out later, but the track was overall fun for them regardless and I really enjoyed trying to make this!!) {As usual, a bit of manipulating scenes does happen, but its not ultra-heavy edits; all of these scenes come direct from canon formats for the most part, with some simple scenic manipulating otherwise!}

Happy A.S.A.W Week 2k25, Everyone!! (02/18)

This particular AMV preview is a preview, as it is mainly un-finished; However, it is planned to contain similar themes + discussion of implied orientations, namely Koushiro's. (Taichi's is Hinted, Meanwhile)

There is a tiny KouTai relevant moment, from mid-Kokuhaku {Tri} included near end. I've used it in many of my AMVs by now.

The specific implied headcanons are: AlloAro{spec}!Koushiro; Demi-romantic Pan-sexual Koushiro Pan-romantic Demi-sexual Taichi in semi canon compliancy or canon-implied verses; {Bi-romantic Demi-sexual Taichi if going very specifically by hard canon readings} where even the 02 epilogue, along with any of where Tri~The Beginning is left fully intact, (with Taichi {Demi} having a preference for Koushiro) Taichi doesn't like to separate Demi-sexual from Demi-romantic when it comes to Taichi's OWN feelings, so Taichi is extremely supportive of Koushiro in this, even if Koushiro doesn't completely KNOW at First.

I forgot about my own dang poll xD Well, that's no so strange, considering everything.

I'm shocked that Infinite Possibilities placed last. I hope folks are enjoying it. I find the real world consequences of digimon and what people might think of the Chosen and how the government could be involved truly fascinating. I really love that fic. Although definitely trying to make it realistic and go over what all the Chosen would think is a huge challenge. I've been struggling with the next update, because I need to get some things straightened out, so I guess letting this one lag a bit is fine while I sort some plot stuff.

I expected Tri: Integrity Lens to place last. It's always been my poorest performing longfic, which I assume is because... Well, Tri wasn't received that well. I actually have most of the next chapter ready, but I feel unsure about it. The purpose of the chapter is to show Koushiro and especially Eimi's mental state just. Crumbling. It also sets up contrast for how Eimi and Koushiro will react to the events at the end of Kokuhaku. But I don't think what happens itself is that... Compelling. It feels like, "Here, have this setup chapter," which is never how you want to feel about your work. And I could cut it, but... It's a fic, you don't have to be concise. But it does have a really cool nightmare sequence.

Er- long story short, I could update this one before too long!

I expected Puits d'Amour to place first. It's a ship fic, which tend to be popular, and also... I was reading it the other day and it's. I realize I wrote it, so saying this may be gauche, but it's really good. Like. I wrote this??? Get out.

The next chapter is entitled Brothers, and it focuses on Osamu, with whom I am obsessed. I've always wondered what would have happened between Ken and Osamu if Osamu hadn't passed away, given that their parents set them up for a horrific sibling rivalry. In PdA, the stakes are heightened by the Ichijoujis relying on Osamu's talents to lift them from poverty, while further entrenching themselves into poverty to support his academic growth. Meanwhile, Osamu is keenly aware that his social and economic status will forever stand between him and success; there will be barriers he cannot surmount with any amount of talent, effort, and/or skill. His bitterness is natural, but it's preventing him from seeing and understanding the people around him.

So, I guess I will update PdA or TIL next. Thanks so much for your votes and interest! Love you!

This has got to be the easiest question in the challenge, because Kokuhaku is the best, at least it is for me. And I’ll give you one simple argument:

SORA’S HAIR IS IN BRAID FORM!!!!!

That’s all you gotta hear from me. 

Jokes aside, if you want to read my reactions to Kokuhaku, here’s the link, and I gotta be super honest here, I confuse episode 5 and 6 a lot. Like, those two are tangled in my brain and I don’t really know where one ends???

In Kokuhaku we had everything: drama, comedy, and more drama!!! Also, great characterization and excelent pacing. It was everything I hoped tri. would be. I cheated and instead of rewatching it, I read my comments (I’m so funny) and while we didn’t get many Takeru/Koushiro scenes, both their issues were CRAZY. Koushiro frustrated because he had no idea how to stop the reboot and Takeru knowing he would LOSE PATAMON AGAIN!!!! 

We also got Mom!Sora checking her list to make sure she had called everyone, Agent!Yamato confronting Maki, Koushiro!Burrito form, character development!Jou being the second showing up to battle and we even got DIGI JESUS BACK!!!! Ah, it was God tier Digimon movie.

Found the bottom image on the Interwebs while looking for more Takeru hats. I’m guessing it’s a poster that came with the Kokuhaku Japanese home release... does anyone know for sure?

(Also, if anyone has written or was ever planning to write fanfic about these kids and their shopping trip, I’d love to read it! Just saying.)

Takeru’s holding Patamon in his right arm, so he transfers him to his left while he fishes for his handkerchief, and then wraps his right arm around him to mop up the blood, keeping him balanced the whole time.

I just love all these little details in Tri. They could have just had him put Patamon down. But no, Takeru’s worked out a whole system for letting Patamon hang out on some part of his body - his arm, his head, his back - in any situation xD

My Commentary: This A.M.V. overall was made for FUN. Scenes used are mainly for a) timings and/or b) (lighthearted) character portrayals / analysis. Please remember that when you watch! The intent is this is meant to be viewed as a post-Kizuna timeframe, with Taichi and Koushiro reflecting on their past / history together.

You could even say it’s actually a directly pre-epilogue timeframe, and, also, even, that new upcoming movie is taking place in 2012... (a.k.a.) When they’re canonically young adults! (So Yes)

So, again, this A.M.V. is meant as a celebration of KouTai / Taishiro, along with Koushiro & Taichi BOTH, (no, neither Koushiro or TAICHI are NOT being left out, here) and is meant positively while I continuously poke light fun at My Favs.

“How did we get ourselves into these SITUATIONS, again?!??” - both Koushiro Izumi and Taichi Yagami, probably

There are about 93 clips total. (I’m honestly amazed I could save this one from crashing further)

I’ll see if I can smush in just a bit more in the future, (I didn’t even get to use anything from the DigiTri Stage-play or 2020 this time when I could have tried to fit them in too) but until then...!!

This A.M.V. is currently semi- (mostly) / FINISHED. As of now, the preliminary version up until ending is completed. Hopefully you find some enjoyment so far though! - The intro and Koushiro’s section took about 1 hour 15 min alone. - Taichi’s section took another 25~30 min or so (I’m rounding Taichi’s out to about 25.) - The 2nd to last finishing touch took another 45 min of editing for an about 17 second section. - This last one took almost 1 hour more. - And finally, the final stretch was 2 hours 35 min; (Add that all together, and it’s about) almost 6~ hours in total. (this time, it crashed multiple times in-between! I managed to save it!!) As a result of crashings occuring, I tend to use longer clips towards the middle and end. However, this time I somehow managed to fit in a bit more than usual! This one may not be 100 percent polished ‘soon’, but I’m aiming to work on it more by Oct. [If I can’t finish it by then, it’ll be put on the list of things to finish ‘sometime’] - There is also a single opening clip of Taichi from the Adv 2020 OP. - There are a few major “Kokuhaku” (Tri Part 3) mid-part spoilers. (All are Taishiro-focused scenes) As well as a few smaller ones of (scenes with) them + Chosen from “Soushitsu” (Tri Part 4) and “Kyousei” (Tri Part 5), no final Tri part spoilers.
