You walk upstairs to see the other living room, you see all three familiar faces but one catches your eye. Seeing that tall,pretty,blonde and green eyed girl on his lap. His face drops when he see's your face drop, he gets the girl off his lap but he's to late. Your already down the damn stairs.

You run down stairs tears falling out of your eyes, fidgeting with your phone trying to call your friend to pick you up. Matt's right behind you trying to get your attention,"y/n! y/n!" no reply from you, your just trying to get out of that damn house.

You feel the alcohol starting to kick in,fuck.You think to yourself. Your hands finally grab the door handle and slam the door in matts face, everyone's attention lands on matt. He doesnt care about everyone else, he tries to get out the door. But that familiar blonde girl taps on his shoulder "matty, what was all that about?" she says. "Nothing, dont worry about it grace." he says in a harsh tone.

He runs back up the stairs telling Chris and Nick that they need to go.

As you walked out that door, your bestfriend nicole was there to pick you up. "hey babes, are you ok?" she asked in a gentle tone. You didnt answer and just nodded, your nose was red, your eyes were red with runny mascara running down. She could tell you were not okay, but she didnt want to bother you now.

2 weeks later..

19 missed calls from chris, 6 missed calls from nick and 2 texts from matt.

You didnt even bother checking your phone. You hadn't even ate in 5 days, hadn't took a shower in 2 weeks.

You just curled up into a ball in your bed in the hoodie that Matt gave you on your first date. Nicole had knocked on your door, asking to come in. You didn't answer so she took that as a no and left you alone.

While you were depressed Matt just partied and hid his feelings, Chris and Nick knew what was up but didn't dare to ask.

You finally had gotten the courage to check your phone and instantly went through Matt's instagram. Just to find,Her.Her.Her.Her.Her. She was in every photo she was even tagged. You clicked on her tag just to scroll to see her perfect body, thats all she posted.

After a hour you were done,you threw your phone and just cried into your pillow.

Matt had cried and sobbed, just never so anyone could see it. He always tried to text you and call you, he just never could hit the damn button.

You knew posting Gracie on your story would torment y/n and you always tried not to press that damn button. But you always did, Gracie wasn't the one you wanted. You wanted y/n and you fucked up that night. You were drunk and Gracie was there, you knew your brothers weren't gonna interfere but you damn well wish they would've.

You had issues and she had issues, you two loved each other to the point it hurt. You wished you could've prevented what happened that night, you had wished it never happened.

I always came to Nick always trying to get his opinion and screaming into his face for not stopping me from all of this. At the end of the night I would curl into his arms and bawling wishing he were y/n.

A retrospective look at "Slow It Down, Cowboy"

wow. just wow, what a long, wild ride this has been! /pos

"Slow It Down, Cowboy" started as something inconsequential for me. A silly little one shot idea that I off-handedly mentioned to Val, which she loved. I mentioned one "Six Eyes Satoru Gojo" in my writings, and Val absolutely fell in love with the idea of him. She asked if she could write a one shot, just for herself, and before long we were making plans for what may possibly be my favorite fanfic project to date.

I want to make something very clear: CowBoy!JJK is nothing new. You can search it up and find thousands upon thousands of fanworks based around the idea. We are not the first, and we will not be the last.

However, I do think my lovely second brain, Val, and I bring something unique to the table: we are both from the bible belt. Val reigns from Texas and I from the southernmost Appalachian Mountains in North Carolina. Both of us were raised on farms!!

Speaking of Val, We Have A Little Word From Her:

HELLO!!! It’s Val now hehe. I’m gonna keep this as short and sweet as I possibly can, but if you have read anything of what I’ve written you’ll know it’s TERRIBLY hard for me to shut my trap. This entire AU has been such a whirlwind! It’s not often that you find someone who loves where they come from just as much as you do, and it’s less often still when you hail from southern/southwestern states. To be able to mix my favorite characters, my love for writing, and my love for my home into one AU has been so incredible, so exhilarating, and most of all so rewarding. I really have made a great friend through all of this, one that I’m EXTREMELY grateful for, as well as two great works of writing that I will think about FOREVER.

Through this AU, we were able to connect and share our cultures, and explore how they were similar and so, so different. We talked music and shared pictures of our respective birth places it was INCREDIBLE!! Of course, Val chose to set her story out in the developing west, where she's from and I absolutely JUMPED at the chance to be able to write something set in the south eastern mountains, the place that I have known was my home since before I could comprehend what home was supposed to be.

Although unintentional, it is not lost on me how our stories sort of ended up being shaped by the setting, with Vals centering around themes of discovery, exploration, and excitement, and mine containing themes of tradition, expectations, and strong familial bonds that transcend such. (and, of course, a splash of religious bullshittery bc who am i as a writer? yall already know)

I also wanted to say that I waterboarded Val and forced her to watch Young Guns (for research,ofc. not because it's my favorite movie at ALL)

Anyway she said it's the best movie she's ever seen (no she didnt but she did like it)

Is this too sentimental for two smutty jjk one shots? Y e s but I simply cannot care. This project became more important to me than probably anything I've ever written. I made a friend that I hope to keep for a long time and was able to somehow fall even more in love with these hills <3 I may cry on my next drive to work when I overlook the valley, I'm not gonna lie.

AITA for not wearing long sleeves? tw // self harm

recently i (20nb) had a particularly bad week and relapsed. i dont do anything that leads to any major injury but it does leave visible marks on my wrists.

after a few days i kind of forgot about them? i dont care about people seeing them all that much (obviously i do tend to wear longer sleeves to hide them, but theyre a part of me just like any other temporary scar. i dont bring them up ever i just let them exist. all this to say if i wear short sleeves its not the end of the world for me) and im in the middle of art school finals right now so hiding my scars is not my priority lol

recently i went out with my family (my mom [49f], my sister [16f] and my brother [14m] if it matters) to get haircuts. the haircuts are by a family friend (63m), and he is well aware of my mental health issues. once i got in the car, i realized that i put on a short sleeved shirt today. we werent exactly gonna go out and do stuff other than haircuts and burger king, so i thought it would be fine. the scars, at this point, have faded to nothing more than faint red lines and are barely noticeable.

long story short, my mom saw them and dragged me out to the car after our haircuts were done. once we got to the car she laid it in on me. she yelled at me, asking me things like "how dare you do that to yourself again", "how dare you show them off to [haircut guy]", "why did you think that wearing short sleeves was even remotely a good idea?". i tried to explain it was an accident, but she pointed to the scars and asked me how "that" was an accident.

i will admit that i didnt have a good answer for that and stayed silent. my mom didnt like that and accused me of everything from earlier again, and then marched inside for my siblings, saying she wasnt done with me.

im now back at my dorms after a very silent car ride. ive already texted my dad (49m) about the situation, who is backing me up, so hopefully the argument will resolve here, but judging from my moms visceral reaction, i feel like an asshole. the intent wasnt to "show them off", but i should have worn longer sleeves to hide them and make sure that i didnt freak out my mom. shes autistic and cant control her emotions very well (she hasnt gotten therapy for it) and she might have been stressed since ive had issues with sh for 7 years now and i was 4 months clean before i relapsed (and she mightve thought that i broke free of the habit).

... though as far as im aware, neither my mom nor my haircutter have had issues with sh in the past, and my haircutter didnt notice my scars.

im gonna post notes/reactions for each chapter :). i have read some chapters of duck avenger before, but i dont really remember them clearly and i didnt get very far. so im glad for this opportunity!
