I’m proud of myself for cutting down from the 83kg weight class to my new 74kg weight class. It was a hell of a journey cutting weight and maintaining/ gaining strength, but we got it. Finally decompressed enough in the process of morphing into another new life to come up for air & compose an update after my first week with @nunez3dmj! Which was also the last week of my previous life - so these are concluding clips at my previous main gyms at GSU & Fort Stewart. We are starting off kicking up the aggression for my last bit of fat loss I've been working on so I can get to a long building phase a$ap while feeling fully myself. Lifting 4x/wk with fucking beautiful flexibility in compound lift choices.. ngl I don't love the BiG tHrEE I just have this "don't be a pussy" thing all the time. Which was a fair enough reason for me to keep doing them until I realized I was probably handicapping my bodybuilding priorities with movements too systemically taxing to get as much quality muscle activation as I could, esp as I've lost weight & strength. I still would like to powerlift... but when you zero in on what your ultimate priority is, the more it feels like life or death to you & the more you understand you have to cut away & refine your focus to get there, the more cutthroat you become with the extra that is even .01% in the way. I cherish the situation I've manifested & I'm more driven than I've ever been. 》Chose smith squits as my main squit movement - I've actually never done these & I'm V INTO IT. I get way more out of my legs than I ever would in a squat to the same depth. At the same level of exertion I wouldn't have come back up the first time. #PWRBLD week 50 - last one before the deload & I better not be wrong this time😭 Weight budged a little finally after the macro cut last week, hit a new low but haven't seen it since as it has bounced back & forth. Seems to be where it really starts fighting. Currently battling whether to cut for another cycle after this coming week's diet break or pull the trigger on the gaining phase I've been patiently waiting on. I'm still not comfortable with my composition, esp my stomach which was not so much the case the last time I cut. I don't want to accept this as the best it's gonna be as far as a general walking-around state heading into a building phase, but I'm also weighing the aspect of the future & how long I wanna wait to get there. /existentialdread whatever here's the clips × LB squits ft. the morning cleaning crew hype... first venture back under the bar with the tattoo - still not quite healed so the solution was wearing a hoodie for all 3 sets to protecc & sweating my absolute ass off. × Binch lotsa reps × Decline × Incline + drop × Deficit didlifts & @js.aesthetics making more than enough noise × Rack pulls × DB rows - I think I've honed my weight-bearing technique here... same side foot forward to discourage spinal rotation, AND all my weight in that foot, with only my back toes on the ground. Really keeps the pull strict by not allowing body weight to shift back at all. × After hearing @nunez3dmj talk about it one thousand times I decided to try out some myoreps on some of my accessories, & this happened to be my v first one. I am a fan & am now doing it on a lot of stuff.
