I'm kinda tired of dungeon meshi fans blatantly misinterpreting Kabru's goals, motivations, and character so they can ship him with Laios...like obviously it's awesome if you enjoy Laikabu but can you nooot twist Kabru's intentions for involving himself with the guy who constantly triggers his monster trauma and pisses him off so bad he gets brain damage so that he turns into "the guy who wants to suck Laios's dick" as his entire character? I've even seen people cut off Kabru's words to make it seem like he is admiring Laios because it would disrupt that narrative

Not getting over the duality between when you meet Rugan for the first time and he plays the Big Bad Zhent, promising you that Zarys will have your head if you steal their cargo, threatening you to be sure you don't cheat him if you convince him to make a deal "the Black Network had eyes and blades everywhere", kinda showing off with "I'll tell my associates to expect you".

And when you reach their hideout and Zarys just fucking roasts him publicly non. stop. "YOU GAVE THEM THE PASSWORD??" "You have fire in you, if only Rugan was like that we wouldnt be in this situation". "The Zhentarim look out for one of their own - even if it’s Rugan."

why is everyone pretending like cyberpunk edgerunners is good. the writing is so bad i hate it

#i'm rewatching it for the third time 😋#i remember seeing a post i think from demilypyro abt how 2077 was a shitty game that everyone forgot how bad it was because of the anime #and the anime is terrible #all of the reviews online call the ending sad but it's literally just 🧍��♂️ okay so. big whoop.#which would've been great for like to explore the futility of doing jack shit in this world bc it can be taken from you like that #they did a good job of this in the first 6 episodes before the timeskip #but the timeskip ruins everything #and u have to balance how unsatisfying that kind of thing is w the reality of that's just how it is #but NO #it's SAD because EVERYONE DIED #we didn't get a chance to slow down with the characters and get an update post timeskip #and the timeskip negates everything interesting about lucy (my fave 4evr)#and it changes her from a strong independent character that's scary good at her job because she was a lab baby and trained since birth and #an archetype of character i like in cyberpunk (a character that looks sexy without sexualising themself or getting sexualized by others)#(and in context most people wear something similarly revealing regardless of gender or presentation and modesty is the outlier)#wait i take that back she does flirt with david in her introduction scene. but i think it was done tastefully to show that she's confident #in herself and her abilities. and not in like an i'm hot do what i want way. we see her in the same episode being genuine and vulnerable #on multiple occasions. and then it reveals she was just buying time for her group to ambush him #she's a really interesting and cool character guys i swear #but the timeskip takes that and turns her into a stay at home expecting mother damsel in distress wanting to settle down and start a family #and the domesticity is so disturbing bc its like. i guess she wants to leave the edgerunner life behind to live on the moon.#BUT THAT'S SO MUCH DIFFERENT THAN WHAT THEY DID HERE #she doesn't pass the bechdel test anymore suddenly. who is she #they mischaracterised my blorbo so bad #it's like their writing budget got slashed mid show.

started watching another home makeover show and it hit me once again how much I want an AU where George and Sapnap are the hosts of a 'siblings getting their own rooms' show (they compete on which room suits their respective kid best) and Dream is one of the cameramen who ended up commenting out loud about something so he ends up being a faceless fan favorite. George does flirt with Dream a lot. Sapnap is very tired of it. They also compete about which room Dream would like the best, which is not the point of the show but in their hearts it is.

#it'll be the kind of show no one expects to succeed but dream's clip goes viral #literally he's not even supposed to be part of the show but everyone wants to hear what he has to say #and it works out well because george and sapnap are obsessed with getting his approval #dream does not have interior design background so he honestly has no idea why anyone listens to him #what he doesn't know is he is VERY GOOD at knowing what the kids want because he's good at listening and also figuring out what they NEED #like there is an episode where this girl wants generic princess stuff but it turns out she just really looks up to her big sister #so dream finds out she likes art and building things with her own hands and there's a whole segment #where you just see his back while this kid is teaching him how to build a castle #and you see george watching from the side COMPLETELY BESOTTED #I NEED TO WRITE THIS FIC #these men in the car makeover show keeps on bantering i feel like it could be flirting #i need to use this energy into something less crazy (dnf is less crazy than these people)#like why did this man program his droid to answer the question 'is donny cute' 😔 and it answered yes but only when he is not talking #boi u just called the beefcake who kept hugging you cute #how am i not supposed to think about dnf
