Arcane women accidentally confessing to you. | Sevika, Jinx, Caitlyn, Vi x Gn!Reader
This is very self-indulgent, so enjoy.<3
Content: pre-season 2 because I want to be happy rn, slight angst if you squint, fluff, accidental confessions, maybe ooc??, cursing, sfw
Reader has no set pronouns!
((Not proofread))
》SEVIKA
She was resting at the last drop with you during some downtime in between missions. One hand lingered on your hip whilst her metallic one held onto her cigar, eyes focused on the pocker game she was playing with a couple of Silco's other henchmen. She always kept you close this way, a clear sign of who you belonged to despite never having said a word about it yet. It was a mutual understanding only you could have, and so she didn't think a confession was necessary.
Until today, it seemed.
You were secretly helping her cheat a little and eventually told her the winning move, which earned her a large sum of money. Letting out a smug laugh at everyone's angered and defeated glares, she gave you a lazy grin. "Thanks, sweetheart. This is why I love you." She hummed to you, smoke exhaling from her dark lips, before she froze ever so slightly. Well, it shouldn't be that much of a surprise to either of you, and yet she couldn't help but chuckle at your own stunned face.
Looking at the men around her, she threw some poker chips towards them, clearly asking for another round. She wasn't the type to get flustered or shy anyways, so her moving on like nothing happened was on brand.
The only acknowledgment you got, however, was the hand on your hip tightening.
》JINX
She has a hard time hiding her feelings for you due to her rather energetic and extremely clingy nature. But there is still a clear distance between you two that she's too scared to cross. It was a deep fear of ruining everything she had with you in case her confession went wrong. She'd rather you consider her your best friend for life if it meant for you to stay at her side. She didn't want to lose more people after all. And yet, as fate has it, she eventually lost herself in a good and happy moment with you.
You were tinkering on some projects in her hideout whilst listening to music. Her head was leaning against your shoulder as her eyes traced your focused gaze. Jinx felt so content and at peace in that moment that she couldn't stop the words that spilled out of her mouth. "I love you." It took her a second to realise what happened, and her body was quick to flinch away from you. You kept her in place, however, with a free hand placed against her head. "Hey, it's okay. I love you too. I'm not leaving." You reassured her quickly with a smile, one that made her heart skip a beat.
She may not see herself as deserving of you, but she's glad to have you at her side anyway. Hopefully forever.
》CAITLYN
Caitlyn was good at hiding her emotions from you. In fact, she had refused to tell you in fear of breaking the professionalism you two had and, most importantly, your friendship that she cherished deeply. And so, she was very careful not to reveal a single thing... until her confidence betrayed her and caused her to slip up.
You two were reviewing a new case together, and whilst she wasn't paying attention, she accidentally slid you her diary over. It unfortunately looked too similar to her work notebook, something she only realised the moment you opened it and froze in surprise. She may have scribbled your name all over it. She may have childishly drawn hearts around your name. She may have made it awfully clear that she loved you. And it made her wonder if there was a god out there that hated her deeply.
"... My apologies. Please ignore that-" "-Haha, I'm so relieved that I'm not the only one who did this!" You let out a soft laugh before pulling out your notebook and showing her similar pages to her own, just with her name written all over them. Her face was flushed from how flustered and embarrassed she was, but alas, she too couldn't help and chuckle at how silly this all was. At least you felt the same.
》VI
It's not like she didn't want to confess her feelings to you. She just didn't know how! Her confession should sweep you right off your feet in her mind, and yet nothing she came up with seemed good enough. Vi hoped that her flirting would get the point across, but she lacked the confidence to go any further than compliments. She just didn't want you to think differently of her and therefore kept her distance for the most part regarding the subject. That is if she could keep it in for lobger than she already has. She always felt so strongly about others, after all.
So, during a little hang out session in a bar somewhere in Zaun, she attempted to find the courage to tell you how she felt. Whilst she went off to go and get you a drink first, however, a drunken man showed up at your side and started flirting you in a rather uncomfortable way. You tried making it clear that you weren't interested, but as he went to grab your arm, a hand slammed in between you two onto the bar table. "Hey, I think they told you no, asshole." "Who the hell are you?" The man barked back, yet Vi didn't back down and simply blocked you from his view with her body. "I'm their girlfriend, now fuck off." She hissed, and the man just rolled his eyes before walking off grumbling.
Silence filled the space in between you two until you chuckled softly. "Girlfriend, huh? I like the sound of that." You hummed, secretly trying to ease her embarrassed mind, that quickly recovered at your words with a sly grin. "You do?" You mirrored her smile with a nod. "Very much so. I'm glad we think alike."

Welcome to my atrocious shipping chart, I apologize in advance
Their opinions on eachother:
Headcanons below:
I've been having a story going on in my mind and it's just progressively evolved over time and this is the culmination of that specifically, so I'll try to explain the context of it here:
MAIN THING HERE IS THAT THE BEASTS (for the most part) "GET ALONG" WITH THEIR OTHER HALF
In my au thingy once they get along both half's get stronger, as if the soul jam becomes more whole (yes the ancients still ascended and reclaimed their soul jams as the rightful owners)
Burning Spice:
Got defeated by golden Cheese Cookie, after she left and he awoke from under the rubble of his castle he went to seek her out, to continue the battle, he wanted to be defeated, to be bested by the only worthy opponent, it was his DESTINY to crumble to her hands, he desired it so much. When he found and re-challenged her, she originally did fight him, but upon seeing how badly he wanted to be destroyed she decided to make him one of her treasures. At first he HATED it and would remind her how he could destroy all of it if he wanted to, but after months of slowly wearing him down he's now her right hand cookie and personal guard, very quick to fight anyone who gets to close to her radiance, he is referred to by the kingdom as "his anarchist".
Shadow milk cookie:
(because his actual story will be coming out soon I'm so paranoid about having to retcon this in the future) he has defeated pure vanilla cookie, finally! After so long!!! But wait, why didn't this victory feel right..? Why was the soul jam not reacting properly? Upon vanilla cookie crumbling should it not go back to him? Spoiler alert, no, no it did not as he was not worthy of it and the light was actively fading, as he began to slowly feel weaker with the progressive fading, having to think fast and make a decision he was not sure if he'd regret, he put all of knowledge to use and revive pure vanilla, centuries of being the representative of knowledge sure does come in handy! Ever since that day and discovering if the light fades so would he, he's tried to stay close to pure vanilla out of convenience, over time it becoming an actual friendship, though he is still overly protective/possessive of him to make sure no one hurts him.
Explanation of the relationships:
Golden cheese
- appreciates how Pure Vanilla's kindness is not conditional and relishes in the praise, though she's worried over him slowly spending less time with White Lily
- loves how loyal Burning Spice is, she is aware he's obsessed with her but she interprets it as him being greedy for her attention (it kinda is ngl)
- has fun doing stuff with shadow milk cookie, they like going to events together like parties and just messing around, they can joke with each other comfortably
Burning Spice
- kinda obsessed with Golden Cheese, seeing her as the only cookie allowed to be stronger than him, he doesn't let other cookies fight her as they're "not worthy"
- mostly sees pure vanilla as one of Golden Cheese's treasures and feels an obligation to her radiance to protect him. Is too uncomfortable to get closer to PV because he reminds him so much of pre-corruption Shadow Milk
- the new shadow milk cookie is definitely more lively, and ever since SM got along with PV his pranks have become more harmless which is enjoyable, one of his oldest buddies
Pure Vanilla
- Golden Cheese is one of his oldest friends, after everything that has happened he doesn't want to lose his friends again, he's slowly spending more time with her as White Lily is busy with other stuff and after everything he just wants to spend time with his friends
- after learning to get along with eachother, shadow milk is actually enjoyable to be around! They can talk about intellectual magic stuff, enjoy food and drinks, play games like chess, or just spend time together in comfortable silence
- does not have any strong opinions on burning spice as they do not talk much, though he isn't sure why considering how often they hang out, PV is confident he's seen BS looking at him sometimes when he thinks he isn't looking
Shadow milk
- pure vanilla is calming, when they feel worked up over something he's always there, PV is helping him get along better with cookies
- Golden Cheese Cookie is (currently) his best friend, they jokingly got along under the pretense on not being huge on WL but their friendship kept improving
- it's too much fun to prank burning spice, like SURE he could just find something they both find fun but as long as BS doesn't how actual disdain towards them he's not gonna stop! He loves to tease him too :)c
If I think of anything else I might add It? Idk, genuinely I just like having good guys in media make the bad guys nice, I enjoy "I can fix him" so much, THE ANCIENTS FIX THE BEASTS I SWEAR
#cookie run kingdom#burning spice cookie#golden cheese cookie#pure vanilla cookie#shadow milk cookie#pureshadow#burningcheese#au shinanigans#idk what the AUs called tho cuz its just a story in my mind that wont go further than small stuff like this

✦ nobody gets me, you do - averyjameson
a/n: wooo games untold release day!!! the first part of this is so silly help i love max summary: avery has the worst interview in the world, with constant interruptions and snide comments. jameson is watching it from home, (along with his brothers, max, and lyra) and finds himself going to see avery, despite her team telling him no. wc: 2.4k
max was watching her best friends interview live on her phone, sitting in her boyfriends bed.
she could read her like an open book, and could tell something was definitely wrong.
“xander,” she called out the boy next to her who was solving a 9x9 rubix cube leisurely, laying on his back with his hands up in the air. “are you seeing this? look what they’re doing to my girl avery.”
xander sat up, and watched for a few seconds. to xander, she looked how she did the first time he ever saw her: scared, uncomfortable, but trying to put on a brave face.
after just two seconds, he called out at the top of his lungs: “jamesoooonnnn.”
no response.
max pulled xander out of the room — much to his dismay, and finally spotted jameson in one of the libraries.
she barely got a word in before jamesons eyes flickered to her phone that was still playing the interview. his brows furrowed, “you’re watching the interview too?”
“…of course i am,” she deadpanned, “i’m literally avery’s girlfriend.
xander raised a brow from beside max, and jameson and him shared a confused look. “oh… right.” jameson said as he nodded slowly.
“yeah…!” xander added. “how could i forget?...” he chuckled awkwardly, rubbing the back of his head as his eyes flickered between jameson and max.
“you guys are weird…” max trailed off, confused at their strange reactions, when she said something so completely normal in her opinion.
“but look!” she exclaimed, “she literally looks so… uncomfortable. in their right mind allowed this interviewer to have a job?” she said, as the two brothers looked at the tiny screen on her phone showing avery’s interview live.
they quickly ditched watching it on the phone, because jameson suggested they watch it on the large tv in one of their living rooms.
max rolled her eyes, muttering something under her breath that sounded like, “of course you’d suggest that.” but nodded anyway as the three made their way to the nearest living room.
avery shifted in her seat slightly, her smile just a little off and strained as the interviewer asked another prying question.
“so, how does it feel to have your entire life handed to you on a silver platter- or shall i say, gold?” the audience laughed at the last line. his tone was light, but the implications were hard to miss.
avery smiled, like landon had rehearsed with her, trying to maintain her composure.
“who the hell is this guy?” jameson scoffed, “seriously?” he stood up from the couch they were sitting on and ran a hand through his hair.
“i wouldn’t exactly describe it that way,” she responded far too fast, so she went to correct herself— otherwise she wouldn’t her the end of it from her team. “but i’m endlessly grateful for all the opportunities i have, and for all the experiences.” she said with a smile that looked a little too sweet and practiced, that it made jameson sick.
the interviewer leaned forward, a cruel smirk on his face that made avery want to grimace. “oh?” he challenged, “so you’re saying the billion-dollar inheritance didn’t change your life overnight?”
xanders usual playful grin was gone as he muttered, “avery looks like she’s about to walk out.”
“she should.” jameson was now pacing in front of the TV, unable to stand still any longer. “if i’d been there—”
“but you’re not,” grayson said calmly, standing beside another couch that lyra was sitting on. “she’ll handle it.”
lyra had heard everyone in the room a few minutes earlier, and suggested her and grayson go see what was going on.
jameson’s eyes focused laser sharp on the tv once again as he heard the interviewer mention his name, before turning back to look at grayson.
“she shouldn’t have to handle it, grayson.” his voice cracked with frustration.
her heart raced, but she managed a small laugh. “i think anyone’s life would change with something like that. my life has changed a great ordeal, but it’s more complicated than—”
“and what about your relationship with jameson hawthorne?” he interrupted, not caring for a single word she had to say. “was that part of the package deal?”
the live audience laughed, and avery just smiled politely, frustration flashing behind her eyes that only the people closest to her could spot.
grayson was going to say something to calm his brother down, but didn’t get the chance to.
“oh, this guy is a fucking comedian, isn’t he?” jameson ran another frustrated hand through his hair, chuckling lowly as he exhaled. “i’m getting him fired— bankrupt for gods sake.”
he knew how snobby-privileged-rich-kid he sounded even to his own ears, but he didn’t care.
“yeah,” lyra chimed in, who rarely ever agreed with jameson. “i’m with you on that one.”
jameson shook his head, letting out a blow of air that it almost sounded like a whistle, “goddamnit, i don’t care, i’m going. her team and the paparazzi can go to hell for all i care.”
he turned off the tv, he couldn’t bear to see avery uncomfortable for another second.
nash stood leaning against the wall, sending a slight nod to jameson. “you need a ride?” he asked, alluding to the motorcycle jameson loves to use when he needs to blow off steam.
with no complaints from nash, jameson knew that he was doing the right thing.
he muttered something under his breath along the lines of: “too dangerous,” and shook his head. and with that, he made his way to the stairs.
everyone shared confused glances — jameson hawthorne, saying something was too dangerous? something has seriously changed.
“is it just me… or is jameson being weirdly responsible right now.” xander muttered as he looked at the turned off tv infront of him.
grayson and lyra shared a look that communicated the message; ‘…he’s still not responsible.’ but didn’t say anything.
max nodded at xander in agreement. “it’s the avery effect.” she stated matter-of-factly. “i don’t know about you, but whenever i’m around her i feel like… woah, i just want to be a better person, you know?”
xander thought about it for a moment with his hand on his chin, and then nodded ,like max had said something profound.
he looked up at her, and then they both nodded in sync, sharing a high five.
nash, who was still standing leaned against the wall, stifled a laugh, shaking his head in amusement before walking out of the living room.
he was definitely going to be mentioning the “avery effect” to libby later.
—
avery sighed as she finally got in the dressing room, leaning her head back on the door and shutting her eyes.
she got to go home in half an hour now, finally.
atleast she was done with that interview.
she walked away from the door, slumping in her chair as she brought her hands to her face, looking into the large hollywood style mirror infront of her.
she was hyper-aware of everything around her—the feeling of her clothes scratching against her skin, the way her makeup suddenly felt heavy on her face, the ache in her cheeks from smiling, and the slight tremor in her hands.
avery re-enacted the smiles she gave throughout the interview, wondering if they looked too fake, if she needs to start tweaking them, and overthinking just about every small detail.
5 minutes had passed, and she was still staring into the mirror.
surely this wasn’t healthy, but she stayed practicing the answers she gave, sighing in defeat when she remembered how people would take it as snappy and defensive.
god, she wouldn’t have wished that interview from hell on her worst enemy.
her reflection started to look weird to herself, but she kept practicing the right way to smile, to not look fake.
suddenly, there was a knock on the door, and her attention was diverted from the mirror for the first time in 10 minutes.
“yeah, come in!” she called out quietly, eyes fixated on the door, nervous to see who it was.
hair and makeup? someone from her team already there to scold her? or god forbid, the interviewer— her thoughts were all silenced when she saw pair of familiar green eyes.
“jameson,” she breathed out, “what are you doing here?”
his hair was a tad messier than usual, and his eyes seemed panicked as he looked around the room, until they finally met hers.
he shut the door behind him and locked it all in one swift movement and walked over to her, standing behind her chair she was sitting on.
his hands found her shoulders, but she stood up and turned around, meeting him face to face.
“heiress,” he put his calmest voice on as his hands found their way to the sides of her face. “i was watching— we were watching the interview at home.” his eyes flickered between hers, “are you alright?”
she smiled a little, letting out an exhale. “yeah, why wouldn’t i be?” she shook her head in an attempt to portray she was confused.
it was slightly difficult for her to act like she was perfectly fine, when she had spent the last 20 minutes doing nothing but overthink.
he brought her out of her thoughts once again. “avery.”
“what?”
“i saw the look on your face— you may be a good bluffer, but not with your emotions. not with me, atleast.”
unfortunately for avery, jameson could see what she was feeling when she tried her hardest to hide it, even from her own self.
she sighed, trying to shrug it off. “jameson, it’s just one interview. they ask questions like that all the time—it’s part of the job.”
“i don’t care if it’s part of the job. you never asked for this.” his voice was hard-edged, his hands moving down her shoulders, then down to her hands. “you looked uncomfortable, avery. you shouldn’t have to be fine with that.”
“i was managing it,” she countered, tilting her head up to look at him, trying to ease the tension. “that’s what i’m supposed to do.”
her hands fiddled with his fingers with a mind of their own. it was a tell tale sign she was holding her feelings back. jameson knew it better than anyone.
“and that’s the problem.” he didn’t speak to her condescendingly, or in any way that was trying to belittle her. he was just worried.
he simply cared, and it made avery’s heart soar.
“they’re counting on you to just handle it every single time, like it doesn’t get to you.” his voice was low, “you shouldn’t act okay with it just because it’s easier. it’s not right.”
she wanted to prove that she was okay, that she wasn’t bothered, and that he didn’t have to worry about her, but she couldn’t, because then she’d be lying.
she let out a small sigh of defeat, “you’re right, jameson.” she shook her head, “i know… i just— i don’t want you to worry about me, or anyone to worry about me.”
“tough luck.” he replied, voice low but unwavering as his eyes searched hers.
she opened her mouth to argue, but his hand gently brushed a stray piece of hair from her face, and the words seemed to fade.
“its the worst thing in the world, seeing the hurt on your face. i hate it.” avery looked down, but he tilted her chin back up. “and,” he murmured, “i hate the people inferior who project their own problems onto you, because they feel like they can, even more.”
avery couldn’t argue with the rest of what he said, but she needed to say something.
“no one’s inferior to me.” she mumbled
“please,” jameson said with a deep chuckle, “i could name quite a few.” he said. “for starters, that interviewer—“
avery cut jameson off with a light laugh, a sound that made jameson feel like the sun was shining down just for them two.
his eyes flickered all around her face, his own smile growing as he committed the picture to memory. “he was the worst. am i wrong? tell me i’m wrong.” he teased, selfishly wanting more laughter out of avery because he loved it so much.
she shook her head vigorously, “no,” she laughed, “god, no. he was the worst. i hate that idiot.”
jameson let out another one of his bigger chuckles, “keep going,” he joked, “there’s my heiress.”
avery rolled her eyes jokingly, feeling the last of her worry fade away. “i wanted to punch him square in the face,” she said, and jameson rose his brows in amusement and nodded enthusiastically.
she continued, “but that doesn’t matter anymore, because you’re here now, and that’s more important.”
he let out a breath, his shoulders loosing the last of their tension. “is that so?” he murmured, his hand slipping around her waist, pulling her a bit closer.
“yeah, it is.” and before he could protest or mention anything about her emotions any longer, she leaned up and pressed a soft kiss to his lips.
he melted into her, arms wrapping around her fully, and tighter. she felt like she could stay in his arms for all eternity as she put her arms around his neck.
the kiss was brief, reassuring, but enough to melt away the last traces of his worry.
when she pulled back, jameson was looking at her with softness in his eyes— one rarely seen by others, but always seen by her.
his thumb brushed over her cheek, and his eyes travelled her face all over. he looked deep in thought, and avery could sense a question was stirring.
“heiress?”
she hummed, “yes, jamie?”
“you know, i never mean to be,” he hesitated slightly, “overbearing, or controlling, i just…” he paused, pressing his lips together in a line as he racked his brain for the right words.
“yeah, i know, jamie.” she nodded slightly with her hand brushing the sides of his face, understanding what he couldn’t verbalize.
his hand held her hand that was on his face, and moved it back down.
both their hands were locked together now, and jameson rested his forehead on hers gently.
avery was so sure he would lean in for another kiss, perhaps one less tentative, now that she could see the tension had dissolved from his shoulders.
she let herself relax, realizing that she stopped fidgeting with jameson’s hands a while ago.
he brought her so much peace without even trying. she wondered if she ever did the same for him— and then jameson broke the silence.
“i’m still getting him fired, by the way.”
avery laughed quietly, almost scoffing in amusement. she bit back her smile as she shook her head, taking a slight step back, hands still intertwined. “of course you are.”
“for you, heiress?” his cheshire grin slowly returned, reeling her back in close. he shrugged, “i’d do much worse.”

The Last of Regret
A little Emmrich/Rook fluff near the end of the game. I thought a certain moment could have used some more power so I gave it a go. We do love seeing a slightly more disheveled and panicked Emmrich, after all.
I'm being a bit vague on details because it contains massive endgame spoilers if you haven't finished the game. Suffice to say. If you want some good Emmrich and Rook hurt/comfort and angsty fluff, I've got what you need.
There was no air here.
No sound. Not even the whisper of wind.
All color had lost its saturation.
There was no warmth, nor was it cold. And still Sivan shivered, hugging herself. This was not like the rest of the Fade. And this was all there was. All that there was ever going to be. Forever. One long endless looping staircase with only the dead for company.
“I’m sorry, I’m so sorry,” she whispered, eyes closed. She couldn’t feel if she was crying. Her heart hurt, but all sensation had lost its bite. She wished she could cry. Or scream. How long had she been walking in circles?
Varric told her she had to let go. She had to accept what had happened, but how could she when this was all her fault? She should have stopped Varric from confronting Solas, she should never have sent Harding out with such a small team, and Bellara….she hadn’t been fast enough. She should have caught her, should have chopped off the blight tendril before it had snatched her away.
Too late now. She was just some stupid city elf up against literal gods. Why did she think she could win? She was never good for anything. She’d failed Varric, failed her own city, failed…oh no. No, she couldn’t think of Emmrich. Not now. If she thought about him she’d sink to the ground and never get up again.
C’mon kid, what did I just say?
”It’s too hard!” She cried. “I’m not ready!”
No one’s ever ready, but you can’t stay here.
Varric wasn’t really here. It was only in her head. All of it had only ever been in her head. Stupid, stupid; should have known Solas would play tricks on her. Should have seen it coming. But the part of her that could hear Varric knew he was right. She couldn’t stay here. Even if she couldn’t defeat the gods she couldn’t fade away in this prison. A clean death, a good death in a fight, that was the way to go. Not disappearing like this.
As if tugging her boots through swamp mud, Sivan made herself climb the endless looping stairs. She did not look up. It would be Harding’s face again, Varric’s, Bellara’s, even her own parents’ and she couldn’t face them. Couldn’t let them see her like this. Failure, worthless, mistake…
I thought I felt it over here!
The sound was far away. “Lucanis?” Just another memory, another lie.
It’s faint, but he’s definitely on to something.
”Neve?”
Sivan stopped, looking around. But the expanse was as gray and devoid of life as ever. Maybe that was all there was. Echoes. But her heart stirred.
The Fade is distinctly thin here.
”Emmrich?!” There was no mistaking it that time. She had heard his voice. Bright, with his usual encouragement, but with a note of unmistakable panic that sent her running up the rapidly forming fade-steps. “Emmrich!”
Did you hear that?
That was Davrin! She could hear them! It wasn’t just the hollow sorrow eating her alive.
The Fade shimmered ahead and Sivan felt air in her lungs for the first time. A sheen of white glinted against the gray. Just like the small Fade tears she had seen so many times before. There was hope here, fragile and wild and oh it was so good to feel something, anything outside of the crushing regret.
She went running into the white tear and the solid arms that caught her.
I’ve got her!
We’ve all got her. Pull!
Sivan spilled out into the bright light. Her heartbeat resumed in her ears, the blood in her veins moved again, and she could feel. Everything. The colors of the Lighthouse almost made her shield her eyes. Her lungs felt as if they would burst.
But she was out.
On the crumbling courtyard stones.
And she was certain she was alive.
“Rook!” Davrin laughed in astonishment and it was such a good sound, such a pure sound.
It was then she realized the arms around her had not let her go, but were in fact squeezing ever tighter. “Darling, my darling…”
Sivan wrapped her still nerveless arms as tight as she could around Emmrich. He was real. Her hands went over the back of his coat, up to his jaw, her fingers skimming through his gray hair. He was here. She kissed him even though she knew how particular he was when it came to public displays of affection. She didn’t care. She had to feel him, had to make sure this wasn’t another one of Solas’ endless tricks.
He returned her kiss with such fervor she was grateful she was already kneeling on the cobblestones. Her eyes spilled over with tears. He crushed her to him as if needed to check if she was as much a reality as she herself doubted. She didn’t care if she couldn’t breathe.
“Think we could give ‘em some fucking privacy?” Sivan could have laughed at Taash’s words but her mind was far too jumbled. Everything was so bright, so loud, so solid.
But Emmrich was all warmth and safety and familiarity. Already he pressed light kisses against her cheeks, the tip of her nose, under each eyelid, and with each she felt a little more real. “Extraordinary as ever, dearest,” he said softly. “Only you could return from the very Void itself.”
“A prison,” she gasped, trying to order her thoughts. How to even begin to explain? “For the gods. Solas…he…”
”Breathe,” Emmrich commanded gently, a hand on either side of her face. “Slowly.”
His dark eyes were welcoming, guiding—was he crying? She flailed in a poor attempt to reach out for him again, but he held her still. His chest rose and fell in a deep rhythm that she felt compelled to mimic. The tightness in her lungs eased in pieces. Emmrich brushed the curls from her eyes and when she felt less like she was choking she let herself relax against him, tucking her head under his chin.
“Darling, should I take us inside? You would be far more comfortable if—“
”No,” Sivan said against his coat, burrowing as deeply as she could, curling around herself. “Stay. Please.”
”But you’re shivering.”
”No’m not.” Her teeth chattered.
“Rook, it is a delight to have you contradict me again, even though I admit I have no desire to let you go as yet,” Emmrich said with a laugh that sounded so tired, so grateful. “I thought that I might not…that—to have the last things we said to one another be that horrid argument…”
Sivan reached up and placed a tentative finger against his lips. “Love you too much to care about that.”
“What?”
Her dear man looked so shocked. And how Sivan adored those looks of bewilderment when she would sneak in a compliment here and there. His tear-stained eyes went wide. “Was scared to say that before, too,” she admitted. “Everyone I ever loved, they’ve…”
It was his turn now to stop her thoughts from spirling. The blanket void of regret was going to be hard to shake, Sivan realized with a pang.
Emmrich hushed her, his fingertips skating down her cheek. She knew when he was studying her. His deep look of intent and awe stilled some of her shivering. Perhaps she shouldn’t have said it so suddenly. Stupid! She should have planned it out better. Made some sort of occasion out of it as he no doubt would have.
“Say it again, dearest. Please.”
His faint, pleading voice undid the last string of regret tied about her heart. Sivan smiled. “I love you.”
Emmrich swallowed up her words with a kiss that nearly knocked her backwards. Heat pooled within her as she tried to match him. This, oh this was never something she would ever take for granted. The sterile edges of what that prison had done to her sloughed off.
“To think you lost only to hear you say that,” Emmrich said as Sivan rubbed her forehead to his, taking comfort in simply sharing the same breath. “You truly are indomitable, Rook. One of the many reasons I love you, too.”
Her face hurt from smiling. When was the last time she’d heard those words? When was the last time anyone had ever loved her? Ghosts now, all ghosts, but Emmrich was here. Alive. And wholly hers.
“I think I can stand now,” she said. Her body was still shaking, but from something other than grief.
“Then I will help you up, my love.”

Love is War
[Irene x Reader]
Note: I….friggin….love….Kaguya-sama so much. It’s just a funny show to watch and I’ve wanted to make something inspired by them. I had a lot of fun with this.
TW: a lot of second handed embarrassment
(She’s kinda like Kaguya)
You sit across from Irene in the empty student council room, the evening light filtering through the tall windows, casting long shadows that add a layer of mystery to the already tension-filled silence. Irene is flipping through some papers, meticulously reading, yet somehow ignoring your presence. Her focus, as always, is sharp, precise — but you've noticed the subtle glances, the way her lips curl ever so slightly when she thinks you aren’t watching.
You lean back, determined to stay calm. After all, if you show any interest first, it’s game over. Irene is the president, elegant and controlled, respected and even a little feared. And you, as her vice-president, know every one of her mannerisms by now, but this silent tug-of-war — this feeling she hasn’t just caught your eye but your heart too — has been going on for months. But you’d never give her the satisfaction of saying it first.
“So,” you say, nonchalantly, “another meeting… just us, huh?” You emphasize the “us,” making sure it sounds casual enough to not raise suspicion.
She raises an eyebrow, not even glancing your way. “You’re the vice president, remember?” She flips to the next page. “Or did you forget why you’re here?”
Ouch.
But you can play it cool. “Just making conversation,” you reply with a smirk. “Not everyone spends hours in silence like you do, President.”
She finally looks up, her eyes sharp, and for a second, you’re caught in her gaze. This is all part of the game, you remind yourself. Whoever slips first, whoever lets their guard down, loses.
“I don’t mind silence,” she says with a smirk of her own. “Unless you’re uncomfortable?”
“Oh, of course not,” you scoff, leaning forward. “If anything, I think you’re the one struggling to keep it together.”
She narrows her eyes, amused. “You think I’d give in that easily?”
“I didn't say anything,” you tease and put both of your hands up in innocence. Though your heart's pounding, every word a risky gamble. “You seem pretty close to breaking. Maybe you’re just waiting for me to say something first.”
Irene tilts her head, a glint of mischief in her eyes. “It’s funny. You think you’ve got it all figured out.” She leans in, just close enough that you can feel the warmth of her presence. “But if you’re so certain of yourself, why haven’t you said anything either?”
The challenge is clear, and for a moment, you’re both silent, the air between you practically crackling. You’re staring at each other, each waiting for a sign of surrender, for that one misstep.
Just then, you notice her hand on the table, fingers lightly tapping. You reach out, instinctively, to still them, and in that moment, her eyes widen slightly, the faintest flicker of surprise betraying her usual composure. Your hands linger for a heartbeat longer than necessary, and you can feel your own face growing warm.
You pull away, breaking the silence with a chuckle, hoping to cover up your own slip. “Nice try,” you say. “But I’m not that easy to trick.”
She looks at you with an unreadable expression before her lips twitch into a soft smile — a genuine one, not her usual restrained, dignified expression. “I’ll admit, you’re a little harder to deal with than I thought,” she murmurs, almost to herself.
You raise an eyebrow, feeling a rush of victory. “So, you’re admitting I’m getting to you?”
Irene crosses her arms and raises a brow, leaning back in her chair as if sizing you up. “Well…since you’re so intent on making conversation, how about a game?”
You match her confident expression. “A game, huh? Alright, let’s hear it.”
She holds up her fingers, ticking off each word. “Twenty. Questions.”
The challenge is clear, and your eyes narrow as you smile. This is an opportunity. If you ask the right questions, you might get her to reveal something. “20 questions?"
“Yes,” she says, looking far too pleased with herself. “I’ll ask first.”
You nod, already strategizing your responses. There's no way she’ll get you to slip up.
“Alright,” Irene begins, her tone deceptively casual. “Are you… seeing anyone right now?”
You blink, but you manage a cool response. “No.”
She hums thoughtfully, tapping her chin. “Interesting. Your turn.”
“Are you seeing anyone right now?” you shoot back immediately, watching her for any reaction.
She raises an eyebrow, giving you a slow smile. “No. Next question: Do you have a… special someone in mind?”
Your face heats up, but you don’t let it show. You tilt your head, pretending to consider. “No,” you say, stretching the truth just a bit. “Do you?”
She smirks, but her answer is quick. “No.” There’s a spark in her eyes now, and you know she’s trying to rile you up. “Have you ever… spent an embarrassing amount of time thinking about someone without realizing it?”
You narrow your eyes. She’s getting clever with these questions. “No,” you lie, feeling like she’s closing in. “But have you ever been caught staring at someone and couldn’t look away?”
Her smirk falters for a split second, but she recovers quickly. “No.”
The room feels charged with each back-and-forth. Neither of you wants to back down, and every question seems to dig just a little deeper, as if you’re both trying to pry open a box that’s already bursting at the seams.
Irene leans forward, her eyes glittering. “Do you… think about me when you’re alone?”
The question catches you off guard, but you’re not about to let her win. “No,” you reply, keeping your expression neutral. “Do you think about me?”
Her lips twitch, almost into a smile, and her answer is a soft, measured, “No.”
There’s a beat of silence, and you’re sure she’s lying. But you’ve both committed to the game, and there’s no turning back now.
You decide to turn up the heat. “Have you ever wondered… what it would be like if you and I were… something more?”
Irene’s eyes widen slightly, and for a fraction of a second, you see a crack in her calm exterior. “No,” she replies, but the tiny hesitation is enough to make your heart race.
“Are you sure?” you press, grinning.
“Yes,” she snaps, recovering her poise with a steely look. “Absolutely sure.”
You can’t help but laugh, sensing her annoyance. But she doesn’t let you revel in it for long.
“Do you get jealous if I talk to other people?” she asks, raising an eyebrow challengingly.
“No,” you answer immediately, fighting the urge to look away.
Irene chuckles, clearly unimpressed. “Liar.”
Your cheeks warm, but you keep your gaze steady. “Sure, like you’re any better,” you say. “Have you ever gotten jealous seeing me with someone else?”
She narrows her eyes, leaning just a bit closer. “No.”
There’s a pause, tension thick in the air. Both of you know the series of no are getting less and less convincing, but neither of you is willing to back down.
Then, Irene clears her throat, her voice softer than before. “Alright, last question. And you have to be completely honest.”
You nod, bracing yourself. “Fine. Go ahead.”
She looks you dead in the eye, her expression unreadable. “Do you… feel anything special for me?”
Your heart pounds, the air between you both thick with unsaid words. You can feel every second stretching, every fiber of your being shouting to say something, anything other than—
“No.”
Irene’s eyes widen, and for a moment, her carefully guarded expression slips, replaced with something almost vulnerable. But she recovers, her smirk returning, even if it’s a little shaky.
“Good,” she says, trying to sound indifferent. “Neither do I.”
You both sit in silence, staring at each other, knowing you’ve just lied through your teeth and realizing that you’re both too stubborn to admit it.
But then Irene leans back, her smirk shifting into a resigned smile. “Well,” she says, standing up, her voice teasing, “it seems we’re both in the clear, then. No one’s losing anything here.”
You watch her walk toward the door, and before she leaves, she glances over her shoulder, her eyes holding yours for just a second too long.
“Good night,” she says softly, with a smile that tells you maybe, just maybe, she’s as frustrated as you are.
“Good night,” you manage to reply, watching her leave, and for the first time, wondering if this game is even worth playing if it means you’ll never actually win.
-
Back in your dorm room, you close the door and let out a long, frustrated groan. You’d spent the entire day locked in a ridiculous back-and-forth with Irene, trying to make her slip up, but "nooo", she had to be as stubborn as ever. You throw yourself onto your bed, grabbing your pillow and thrashing around in irritation.
“‘No,’” you mutter to yourself, mimicking Irene’s voice in the most exaggerated tone possible. “'No, I never get jealous, no, I never think about you, no, I have no feelings whatsoever!’” You yank the pillow over your face and yell into it, hoping it’ll somehow drain the frustration boiling over inside you.
“GET OUT OF MY HEAD BAE JOOHYUN!”
-
Meanwhile, across campus, Irene is pacing in her room, arms crossed tightly over her chest. Every step she takes sounds like she’s trying to stomp a hole into the floor. She mutters angrily to herself, face contorted in a mix of anger and — if she were to admit it — embarrassment.
“‘Do you think about me when you’re alone?’” she scoffs, doing her best impression of your voice, throwing her hands up in the air. “Absolutely not, why would I?” She frowns, blushing despite herself. “As if I’d be the first one to say anything anyway!”
She huffs and, in a rare moment of unchecked frustration, grabs her textbook off her desk and slams it down, a futile attempt to squash the annoyance bubbling inside her. She’s never felt so embarrassed — or so irritated that she can’t stop thinking about you.
“No,” she grumbles to herself again, as if the more times she says it, the more true it’ll become. “I am Bae Joohyun…why would I fall for you?”
-
Back in your room, you’ve started pacing now too, every nerve on edge. You catch a glimpse of yourself in the mirror, your face twisted in frustration, and throw your hands up. “This is ridiculous! I don’t even care!” You stomp over to your desk, slamming your hands down like it might somehow snap you out of this bizarre Irene-fueled haze.
“Of all the people I had to like,” you grumble, throwing yourself back on your bed, arms flailing dramatically, “it had to be the one shortie who won’t admit anything!”
-
Meanwhile, Irene’s found herself in a similar scene, on her bed, legs kicking the mattress in frustration. “And that kid KNOWS what they’re doing,” she says, voice muffled by the pillow she’s now buried her face in. “Just sitting there with that smug little smile, asking all those RIDICULOUS questions like they didn’t care one bit!” She lets out a loud, frustrated sigh, tossing her pillow across the room.
It’s not even five minutes before she stands, determined to shake off the restless energy building inside her, and starts pacing her room again. Each step lands with heavy frustration. She mutters under her breath, trying to convince herself: “It’s not a big deal. This is… nothing. And they were obviously lying anyway, just to mess with me. I mean, why would they ask those things unless they were trying to make me crack?”
-
At the same time, you’re staring up at your ceiling, arms crossed, muttering to yourself. “She just has to be so stubborn,” you say, voice heavy with annoyance.
“Every single answer, every question — it’s like she’s actually trying to lose her mind on purpose!” You cover your face with your hands, shaking your head. “But no, she’s just too proud to admit she feels anything.”
-
In the end, both of you spend the next hour or so in almost synchronized frustration — you, rolling around on your bed, groaning loudly every few minutes, and Irene, sighing dramatically and flopping from one end of her bed to the other, trying not to think about how much it bothers her that you refuse to admit anything either.
It’s only when you both wear yourselves out from the mutual thrashing and muttering that a sense of calm settles, leaving you both sprawled on your beds, staring at the ceiling, each lost in thoughts of the other.
But even in the quiet, both of you have the same thought lingering, echoing annoyingly in your minds:
“Why can’t they just confess already?”
“Why can’t she just confess already?”
-
The next morning, you drag yourself into the student council room, feeling the weight of sleep deprivation clinging to your eyelids like cement. You glance at the clock — 8:15 AM. You’ve barely gotten any sleep, and it shows. Your eyes are bloodshot, your hair’s a mess, and every step feels like it’s being weighed down by the universe itself.
You slump into your usual chair, rubbing your face. The room is eerily quiet, save for the faint hum of the fluorescent lights. No one else is here yet — except for Irene, sitting in her usual spot across from you, who seems just as disheveled as you feel. Her hair’s a little frizzy, and her posture is slumped like she might collapse at any moment.
You exchange a tired glance. Neither of you says anything. There's no point in it. It’s obvious you both didn’t sleep well, and it’s all because of that ridiculous game.
"Morning," Irene mutters, sounding less like herself than usual, her voice hoarse and low.
You nod. “Morning. Did you… sleep at all?”
She gives a small shake of her head, eyes slightly glazed. “…No.”
You groan. “Same.”
“I can tell,” she says, voice tinged with equal frustration.
You both fall into an exhausted silence, but just as the tension begins to build between you once again, the door creaks open. Seulgi, the treasurer, strides in, bouncing on her feet as usual, though today she seems extra chipper — like she’s somehow been recharged by a full night of sleep, which you both desperately lack.
She beams at you both. “Good morning, my higher ups! You two look like you barely survived the night.”
“Thanks for the observation,” you mutter sarcastically, leaning back in your chair, trying to ignore the painful throb in your skull.
Seulgi raises an eyebrow, clearly sensing the tense energy in the room. “You guys didn’t get any sleep, did you?” she teases, looking between the two of you. “Too busy scheming with each other, huh?”
Irene gives Seulgi a deadpan stare. “We don’t need your commentary, Kang Seulgi.”
Seulgi shrugs, unfazed. “Okay, okay, no need to get defensive. You two need a distraction.”
With that, Seulgi pulls a small notepad from her bag, flipping it open with dramatic flair. “Let’s play Would You Rather,” she announces, practically jumping into the chair beside Irene.
You blink at her, too exhausted to even care about the idea of playing another game. But Seulgi’s already too deep into her plans to let you escape.
“Would you rather,” Seulgi starts, voice rising in enthusiasm, “have the ability to read anyone’s mind, but only while they’re eating something, or be able to talk to animals, but only in a language they don’t understand?”
You glance at Irene, already half-suspecting she’s not going to entertain this nonsense, but to your surprise, she lets out a small sigh and leans in, trying to humor Seulgi. “The animals. No contest.”
“Really?” you ask, raising an eyebrow. “Why?”
“Because I could ask a certain bear to stop stealing my snacks,” Irene mutters, eyes narrowing like she’s speaking from personal experience.
"I know nothing" Seulgi whistled and looked away, feigning ignorance.
You chuckle, despite yourself, because somehow that seems oddly relatable. But Seulgi’s not done yet.
“Okay, next one!” Seulgi says, flipping her page. “Would you rather always know when someone’s lying, but it makes you physically ill, or never know when someone’s lying, but it makes you constantly question everything?”
Irene shoots you a look, probably knowing where this is going. You tap your chin dramatically.
“I’ll go with the first one,” you say, your tone dripping with sarcasm. “I already get physically ill just dealing with you.”
Irene doesn’t miss a beat. “I’m starting to think you might be lying about that,” she retorts, a small grin playing at the corner of her mouth.
Seulgi, clearly loving this back-and-forth, just grins wider. “Alright, now for the real fun one…”
You both exchange a look of dread.
“Would you rather,” Seulgi pauses for dramatic effect, “have to sing every time you want to communicate, but only in opera, or be unable to speak at all and only express yourself through interpretive dance?”
You both sit there, silent for a moment, processing the absurdity of the question. Then, without missing a beat, Irene responds, deadpan, “I’d go with interpretive dance. At least it’s not opera.”
You stare at her in disbelief. “You would dance? For everything? For your class presentations?”
She shrugs. “I mean, it would be easier than singing opera in front of the entire school.”
You scoff, leaning back in your chair. “I’d rather sing opera. It’s at least... dignified.”
Seulgi looks between the two of you, laughing to herself as if she’s witnessing the world's most ridiculous standoff. “Okay, okay, one last one. Would you rather accidentally confess your feelings to the entire school, but the person you like doesn’t hear, or have to live your life with a giant embarrassing secret that no one knows except you?”
You freeze. Irene’s gaze flicks to yours, and for a brief, horrifying moment, it feels like the entire world has just turned its spotlight on you both.
Seulgi’s watching, clearly loving the discomfort she’s causing.
“I—” you start, but then you hesitate. “I’d rather have the secret,” you say quickly, then add, “I mean, I don’t want to confess in front of everyone!”
Irene laughs — a soft, almost bitter laugh — and answers quickly, “I’d pick the same thing. Secrets are easier to deal with than... that.”
You both stare at each other, and for once, the silence between you doesn’t feel as tense as before. In fact, it’s almost like... you’ve just admitted something without even trying.
But Seulgi, ever the expert at reading the room, lets out a dramatic sigh. “You two are impossible,” she says, shaking her head in mock disappointment. “But at least we had fun.”
Irene and you exchange a glance. Neither of you says anything, but the hint of something unspoken lingers in the air. Something that wasn’t quite said in the game, but was definitely felt.
“You know,” you mutter, standing up and stretching, “next time, we’re just playing chess.”
Seulgi grins, already plotting her next absurd question. “You got it. But just so you know,” she winks, “I’m totally adding opera to the rules.”
Irene shoots you a look as if to say, See? This is your fault.
And for once, you can’t help but laugh.
-
A few months pass, and life in the student council room has somehow become a bizarre, ongoing comedy show. You and Irene continue your ridiculous push-and-pull game, each day a new round of Who Will Crack First?. Neither of you has budged an inch, and yet neither of you has let up on the passive-aggressive scheming either.
It’s as if you’re both living in some weird, never-ending loop of “will they, won’t they” — and it’s driving everyone around you absolutely mad.
Seulgi, who’s practically an expert at this point in navigating the absurdity of your interactions, has given up trying to intervene. She now finds it hilarious, often leaning back in her chair with a smug smile as she watches the two of you exchange cryptic looks and challenge each other with passive-aggressive “Would You Rather” questions.
One particularly awful morning, Irene walks in wearing her usual perfectly put-together look — except today, her blazer is slightly askew, her hair a little more chaotic than usual. She’s clearly been running on no sleep, but as always, she gives you a pointed, unamused look when you glance at her.
“Not today,” she mutters, sounding exhausted, and collapses into her chair with a sigh.
You blink. “What’s wrong with you?”
“I’m tired of you,” she snaps back, without hesitation.
You sit up straighter, a smirk tugging at your lips. “Oh? So you admit it now?”
Her head whips to face you. “I didn’t admit anything, you idiot.”
“Right, right. Of course not.” You lean back in your chair, arms crossed, trying to play it cool, but inside you can feel a small victory bubbling up.
Yes, you’re getting to her. Keep going.
Before you can continue your “I’m always right” victory lap in your mind, Seulgi enters, holding an envelope in her hands.
“Good morning, everyone!” Seulgi greets, sliding into her chair and tossing the envelope onto the desk in front of you. “Got this for you,” she says, looking far too pleased with herself.
You blink at it. “What’s this?”
Seulgi leans forward, grinning. “Well, someone (ahem, our vice-president) just got accepted for the student exchange program. With a full scholarship, no less.”
You freeze, staring at the envelope as if it might suddenly burst into flames. It takes a moment for the words to fully process in your tired brain, but when they do — you can’t help but feel a mix of disbelief and excitement.
“Wait… you’re kidding,” you mutter, flipping the envelope open. Sure enough, it’s real. You’ve been accepted into the program — and with a scholarship at that. You can barely wrap your head around it, the magnitude of it overwhelming. A chance to study abroad? This is huge.
"I MADE IT MOM!!!" You shouted, as loud as you just won a well fought war.
Irene, however, is not as happy for you. She glares at the envelope, as though it’s personally offended her. “Congratulations,” she says, her tone dripping with sarcasm.
You grin, almost smugly. “Thanks, Pres. I’m going to study abroad! How cool is that?”
“Right, so you’ll be gone for how long?” Irene’s voice has a sharp edge to it, and you know instantly that something’s bothering her.
“I’m not sure,” you say, waving it off, still too distracted by the possibility of it all. “Maybe six months? Maybe more. It’s exciting, right?”
Irene doesn’t respond. Instead, she leans back in her chair, arms crossed, staring at you with an unreadable expression. Her lips are pressed together like she’s holding something in.
“You know,” you say, enjoying the rare moment of feeling like you actually have the upper hand, “maybe you should congratulate me properly. This is a big deal.”
She gives you a sharp look. “I don’t congratulate people who act like they’re already the best at everything.”
“Oh, please,” you laugh, “that’s not even true. We both know you’re just upset that you won’t get to have your daily dose of me tormenting you.”
Irene narrows her eyes, leaning forward like she’s about to bite back with something absolutely scathing. But instead, she just sighs. “Fine. Congratulations. I’m sure you’ll do great. Now, I’ll just go back to pretending you aren’t about to abandon me for six months.”
You blink, caught off guard by her sudden change in attitude. It’s almost like she’s… jealous? No, that can’t be right.
“Wait,” you say, your voice sounding strangely unsure, “you’re mad?”
She raises an eyebrow, looking at you like you're the dumbest person alive. “What do you think, Einstein?”
“Are you actually mad that I’m going abroad?” You almost can’t believe you’re asking. This is a new level of absurdity. She’s always acted like she doesn’t care about anything — least of all you.
Her response comes in the form of a heavy sigh, followed by her leaning back again with a dramatic thud into her chair. “I just don’t get it,” she mutters, staring at the ceiling like it’s the most tragic thing in the world. “One moment you’re here, annoying the hell out of me, and then poof — off to some other country like it’s no big deal.”
“Is that jealousy?” you ask, incredulous. “Pres, is that—”
“No!” She snaps immediately. “I’m just annoyed that you’ve been torturing me for months, and now you’re going to vanish, leaving me alone with Seulgi’s stupid games and that.”
You look at Seulgi, who’s grinning at the back-and-forth with a cup of coffee in her hand like she’s watching a reality TV show unfold before her. “I’m just here for the drama,” Seulgi mumbles under her breath, casually sipping her coffee.
“See?” Irene gestures to Seulgi. “I’m stuck here with this.”
“Well, if it’s any consolation, I’m just as confused as you are,” you joke, tapping the envelope on the table, “since it looks like I’m leaving you here to suffer alone with your secrets.”
Irene glares at you. “Stop talking about my secrets. It’s not like you even have any.”
You grin, sensing that you’ve touched a nerve. “Oh, I do, don’t worry. Just waiting for you to—”
“Stop talking.” Irene snaps, her voice so sharp it’s almost a threat.
The tension in the room is so thick you could cut it with a knife, but you don’t know whether to laugh or just keep pushing her buttons. It’s getting harder and harder to tell if she’s frustrated because of your “secret” or if it’s just the ever-present game you two have been playing for months.
Seulgi, clearly sensing the climax of your endless drama, looks between you both with a smirk. “You two are ridiculous,” she says, sipping her coffee and savoring the war, like a general on the side watching her neighbouring countries fight.
And as always, you and Irene stay locked in your little game — still stubborn, still not admitting anything, but both of you a tiny bit more frustrated than before. You can’t help but laugh, even though you’re not quite sure whether it’s from the excitement of the exchange program or the absurdity of your constant back-and-forth with Irene.
One thing’s for sure — you may be leaving soon, but the game will never truly end.
-
The days leading up to your final day at school felt like a drawn-out episode of Who Will Break First?.
The tension between you and Irene was palpable, like two magnets trying to repel each other while secretly waiting for the other to snap. It was absurd, and yet, you couldn’t help but be thrilled by the idea of ending this ridiculous game once and for all.
The exchange program was looming on the horizon, and you were determined to win this war — no more games, no more indirect jabs. One of you was going to finally confess, and it would be grand. You weren’t just going to do it quietly or casually.
Oh no. You had bigger plans.
Way bigger plans.
You could practically feel the dramatic music building in your head as you sat in the student council room, staring at the whiteboard, mapping out your elaborate scheme. It had to be perfect, a moment so spectacular that Irene would have no choice but to confess. You had one chance, and it had to be memorable.
The idea? A scavenger hunt.
But not just any scavenger hunt. A scavenger hunt for the heart.
“How can I make it even more dramatic?” you muttered to yourself, looking over your ridiculous list of clues and challenges. Every challenge would lead Irene closer to her inevitable fate — confessing her feelings, of course. But it couldn’t be too obvious. You had to make it like a game, because she would never confess otherwise. She was too proud.
You could already hear the sound of her internal monologue: I can’t let them get away with this. I’ll show them I’m not some softy.
Little did she know, you were about to turn this into the most obnoxiously grand gesture ever.
The next day, you casually walk into the student council room, where Irene is sitting at her desk, looking as stoic as usual. Her hair is perfect (obviously), and she’s in the middle of filling out some form that looks like it was written in some ancient bureaucratic language.
“Good morning, Pres.” you say nonchalantly, as if nothing is out of the ordinary.
She barely glances up at you, just giving a quick nod. “Morning,” she mutters, not even bothering to make eye contact.
Perfect. The stage was set.
“You ready for the game today?” you ask casually, leaning over to get a peek at her papers.
Her eyebrow twitches slightly. “What game?”
“The game,” you say dramatically, “The scavenger hunt. The ultimate scavenger hunt.”
Irene freezes. “What?”
You grin, feeling the thrill of your scheme starting to take effect. “It’s simple, really. I’ve set up a series of clues around the campus. Each one will lead you to the next, until you finally reach your destination. And guess what? You’re the only one who can participate. No one else is allowed.”
Irene stares at you as if you just suggested she run a marathon in high heels. “A scavenger hunt? Are you serious?”
“Yes.” You give her an exaggeratedly dramatic nod. “You’re going to love it. Each clue is going to lead you to a place that’s important to us. You’ll figure it out. Eventually.”
She blinks, clearly confused. “And what’s the point of this ridiculous hunt?”
“The point is,” you say, leaning in like you’re about to share the world’s greatest secret, “by the end of it, you’ll finally admit that you can’t stand it anymore and you will…”
You paused for a moment “…confess your feelings for me.”
Irene’s face is completely deadpan. “You’re out of your mind.”
But she’s intrigued. You can tell.
“Okay, okay. I’ll bite. Where do I start?” Irene asks, crossing her arms with that same defiant, no-nonsense look that always drives you insane.
You hand her the first clue, which is written in ridiculously dramatic handwriting. “Go to the place where it all started,” you say, practically bouncing in your chair, “You know, where we first met. Good luck.”
Irene glares at you for a second before unfolding the note. Her eyes scan it quickly. She’s already halfway out of her seat when she mutters, “This is so stupid.”
And off she goes.
What she doesn’t realize is that you’ve set up each clue in the most bizarre and over-the-top way possible.
The first stop is the fountain near the school entrance. But it’s not just a simple clue — oh no. You’ve surrounded the fountain with floating balloons that spell out “LOVE,” because you’re subtle like that. Next to the fountain, there’s a big, obnoxious banner that says, “First step to confessing your feelings: stop running away from the truth.”
When Irene arrives, she looks at it, rolls her eyes so hard you think they might get stuck, but follows the instructions anyway.
“Ridiculous,” she mutters, lifting the balloon with one hand and searching for the next clue.
Next, the clue leads her to the library — but not just any section of the library. It’s the aisle where you first bumped into her accidentally (totally not planned) on that fateful day. The shelf is stacked with books on love and confession. (Of course, you also made sure the most embarrassing ones were in plain sight.)
By the time she reaches the next clue, which is hidden inside a cookie jar in the student lounge, she’s had enough. “This is the worst thing you’ve ever done,” she says under her breath as she rips open the paper and immediately glares at the next clue.
It’s just one word: Confess.
Irene stares at the note for a solid minute, as though she’s trying to will it to self-destruct. “This is… absurd.”
She’s so close now. You’re practically jumping out of your seat, grinning so wide you’re certain she can hear the smugness radiating off you.
The final stop is, of course, the student council room. You’ve cleared out all the other council members and arranged the room like an oddly romantic restaurant, complete with candles (yes, real candles, because you’re extra) and a giant cardboard cutout of the two of you from a school event that she’ll definitely recognize.
“I swear to god, if you’ve done anything worse than this, I’ll…” Irene trails off as she steps into the room, eyes widening at the display.
You cross your arms. “Well?”
“Are you really going to make me do this?” she asks, her voice dangerously calm.
You grin, barely containing your excitement. “I think it’s about time, don’t you?”
Irene looks at you, deadpan as usual. “You’re impossible.”
You wait, your heart practically beating out of your chest.
She doesn’t say anything. The silence stretches for a few seconds, and just when you think she’s going to snap — she sighs. “Fine.”
She’s this close.
She takes a deep breath, looking you straight in the eye, and says in the most dramatically deadpan voice possible:
“I hate you.”
And just like that, you snap.
“WHAT?!”
“I said I hate you.” Irene smiles smugly, enjoying every second of your frustration. “But I think you’re kind of an idiot. And I’m sort of impressed by your sheer lack of self-awareness. So, confession done.”
You stand there, utterly flabbergasted.
“That’s not a confession!” you shout.
“I didn’t say it was a good one,” Irene retorts, crossing her arms. “But at least I win.”
And with that, you both realize — you’ve just played yourselves.
As Irene starts walking away, her smug expression plastered on her face, you stand there, still stunned, your heart hammering in your chest. You had come so close to victory — and then she just dropped the bomb on you like it was nothing.
I hate you.
What kind of confession was that? Sure, it was dramatic, but it was barely even close to what you had in mind!
But something in your chest tightens. You can’t let this end like this. No way. You won’t let her get away with this. Not when you’re so close
You take one step forward. Then another. You’re walking after her now, and you can feel the heat rising in your face as you approach. The whole scene plays out like a movie, but not the cool action kind of movie. No, this is a slow-motion trainwreck happening in real time.
“I—” You stop yourself. What the hell am I doing?
Irene turns around, still smirking as if she just hit you with the world’s greatest comeback. “What? Did you come to call me an idiot again?”
“No! I mean—YES, but—” You flounder, trying to hold on to whatever shred of dignity you still have. She raises an eyebrow.
“I can’t believe this is happening,” you mutter, realizing that at this point, the only way to salvage your pride is to act like you meant this all along.
You take a deep breath, already feeling the cringe crawl up your spine. “I—I think I like you. A lot.”
You don’t stop there. No. That would be too easy.
“Bae Joohyun, I think... I think I’ve liked you for a long time, and... and this whole thing, the games, the scavenger hunts, the balloons... it’s been ridiculous and stupid and—”
Your voice cracks, and you internally scream. This is so embarrassing. Why did I think this would work against the Ice Queen?
Irene just stands there, her smirk faltering for the first time. “Wait—are you—”
“Yes! I—yes! I like you, okay?” you blurt out, and then immediately want to crawl into a hole and disappear forever. “Like, really like you. More than I can even explain. And maybe I don’t always show it, and maybe I’m not the best at this, but I’ve spent so long trying to... uh... win this stupid confession game, and now I’m realizing that I... don’t care about that anymore. I just want you to know that I like you—like, like you—and I’m tired of pretending I don’t!”
There’s a moment of silence. You stand there, your face glowing with humiliation, hands clenched at your sides, waiting for Irene to react. You almost can’t bear to look at her. You can feel the awkwardness radiating between you like a thick cloud, and it’s so heavy that it might as well be an actual physical presence.
Irene doesn’t say anything at first, just stares at you with wide eyes. Then she opens her mouth, and you hold your breath, half-expecting her to laugh in your face or walk away.
Instead, she says, “...Are you... done?”
You blink rapidly, still trying to process her words. “What?”
“Are you done?” she repeats, her voice more amused than anything else. “Because that was about the most painfully awkward thing I’ve ever witnessed. I mean, are you seriously this bad at confessing?”
Your face turns bright red, and you immediately want to crawl under a desk and live there for the rest of eternity. “I—No! I mean... Yes, I am. I just... I don’t know how to do this! It’s like every time I try, I keep making it worse, and now I’m... I’m...”
You throw your hands up in exasperation. “I’m just going to shut up now.”
Irene crosses her arms, watching you with a mixture of amusement and exasperation. “So, what exactly are you expecting from me now? A confession back? Do you want me to one-up you with some dramatic gesture too?”
The secondhand embarrassment is reaching a point where you feel like you might die from sheer awkwardness. “I—”
“Well, guess what?” she interrupts, her expression softening just slightly. “You’re not the only one who’s bad at confessing, you know.” She pauses, letting the words sink in. “I’m just better at pretending I don’t care.”
Your eyes widen. Wait. What?
“You’ve been so obvious for so long. But you’re... you’re a mess,” she says, voice dropping into something a little more serious now. “And I didn’t want to be the one to make the first move. I didn’t want to admit it either.”
Your brain short-circuits. “Wait, so... you—”
She gives a dramatic sigh and steps toward you. “I’m just saying,” she continues, “You’re such an idiot. And I can’t believe it took this long for you to get a clue.”
And then, out of nowhere, she leans forward and kisses you.
For a moment, everything stops. Your brain ceases to function as you try to process what just happened.
It takes about five seconds before you realize that you’ve been kissed, and another five seconds to realize that you’re staring at her wide-eyed, as if this were the most confusing thing to ever happen to you. But you’re also feeling like you might pass out from sheer shock.
As Irene pulls away from the kiss, you’re still standing there, completely shell-shocked. Your head is spinning, the words in your mind tumbling over each other, and your whole body is shaking like a leaf. You can’t believe what just happened — you’d been playing this ridiculous back-and-forth for so long, and now it was finally over.
Sort of.
Irene looks entirely too smug for someone who just outplayed you at your own game. “Well, that was definitely a moment, wasn’t it?”
Your mouth opens and closes, but you’re too dumbfounded to say anything remotely intelligent. You can feel your cheeks burning with embarrassment, your brain still processing the fact that she kissed you like it was some kind of casual Tuesday.
“Um... can I... can I just...?” you trail off, desperately trying to regain your composure, but it’s like trying to catch a greased pig.
Irene, on the other hand, seems completely unaffected, smirking as she watches you fumble. “What? Are you still processing it, or...?”
But before you can even think of a response, you hear it.
A very loud click.
Both you and Irene freeze at the sound, and the two of you turn towards the source of the noise. And there, standing a few feet away, is Seulgi — grinning like a cat who just got into the cream.
“Oh, this is rich,” Seulgi says, holding up her phone. “Vice president, you really should’ve told me you were planning on doing a ‘confession’ scene. I thought I was going to have to orchestrate this myself, but lucky for me, I had a feeling something like this would go down.”
“No...” you mutter, feeling the blood drain from your face. “No, no, no. Did you seriously just—?”
“Oh, you bet I did,” Seulgi replies with a grin so wide it should be illegal. She’s clearly enjoying every second of this. “You two have been at this for months. I was just waiting for the moment when one of you would finally break. And I caught it all on video!”
You can feel the panic rising in your chest. “Kang Seulgi, no! You—You can’t—”
She takes a few steps closer, completely unfazed by your distress. “Oh, don’t worry. I won’t post it... yet,” she says. “But let’s just say I also have some... interesting footage that could influence your future decisions.”
“Seulgi, you wouldn’t,” Irene warns, her voice uncharacteristically soft.
“Oh, I would,” Seulgi chirps, tapping away on her phone, her fingers flying over the screen. “I have all the juicy bits. You two were so painfully obvious, I might just have enough material for a whole documentary about your embarrassing little love war.”
(She said the title card! Don’t sue me thank you)
You turn to Irene, a look of pure despair on your face. “Please tell me this is not happening.”
“I swear to God, Seulgi, if you even think about blackmailing us...” Irene starts, but then her eyes flicker to the phone in Seulgi’s hand. She hesitates, realizing there’s really no way to undo this.
“Oh, I’m just kidding,” Seulgi says suddenly, and you almost collapse in relief, but then she adds, “Mostly.”
“What do you mean, mostly?” you ask, now suspicious.
Seulgi just looks between the two of you, her grin only growing wider. “Well, I was going to use this footage to make you two suffer with some embarrassing compilation videos... but honestly? It’s more fun to watch you both squirm. You’re so pathetically obvious, it’s hilarious.”
You groan and throw your hands up in exasperation. “I can’t believe this. Of course, Seulgi would have been lurking in the shadows, ready to capture every moment.”
Irene, meanwhile, takes a deep breath and glances at the phone again, looking more irritated than ever. “You better not show this to anyone. Or I will make your life a living nightmare.”
“Oh please,” Seulgi says, tapping the screen. “I’m just going to enjoy watching you two suffer in peace for now. But you know, if you’re ever interested in... making a deal... I’m all ears.”
Irene crosses her arms, giving Seulgi a death glare. “You really want to start blackmailing THE president and vice president of the student council? Don’t forget, I have connections.”
Seulgi raises her hands in mock surrender. “Alright, alright, I’ll back off... for now. But let’s just say, I’ll be keeping my eyes open. You two are so obvious.”
As Seulgi walks away, still chuckling to herself, you and Irene stand there, completely defeated.
You’re both speechless.
“I can’t believe this,” you mutter again, this time to Irene, who’s clearly just as done with the situation as you are. “I swear, Seulgi is too much.”
Irene lets out a long sigh and places a hand over her face, as if trying to hide her sheer embarrassment. “This is never going to be over, is it?”
You shake your head. “Nope. I’m stuck with this for life.”
“I don’t think I can show my face at school tomorrow,” Irene admits, finally letting out a little laugh despite herself.
“Same,” you reply, feeling the humiliation deep in your bones. “I’m going to pretend I’m sick. I’ll fake an injury. I’ll fake... I don’t know, something.”
“You should,” Irene agrees, “and I’ll be right there with you. The entire school will know about our ‘confession’ before lunch.”
There’s a brief silence between you both, and then, at the same time, you both erupt into groans of frustration and turned away from each other.
“This is why I hate you.”
“This is why I hate you,” Irene replies, her voice thick with secondhand embarrassment.
And there it is — the grand culmination of months of tension, teasing, and awkward games. And it ended up with you both being caught on video, standing like two idiots while Seulgi secretly enjoyed every moment of it.
Today’s result: Both lost (even with a fcking kiss)
-
The week after you left for the exchange program felt like a blur for you — the excitement, the new environment, and the unfamiliar routines made everything feel like a whirlwind.
But back at school, Irene was in a much different place.
Every day, Seulgi would come to school with a new glint in her eyes, a mischievous smile tugging at her lips, and a phone hidden somewhere on her person. She wasn’t as sneaky as she thought; Irene could spot her from a mile away, and each time, she’d smirk to herself.
“I swear, you’re enjoying this way too much, Bae Joohyun” Irene would mutter, though the grin never left her face.
And why wouldn’t she? Each time Seulgi presented her with another batch of pictures — snapshots from the infamous day of the confession — Irene’s heart would flutter in the most embarrassing way.
There was the one of you, mid-sentence, as you tried to pull off your grand declaration. Your face was a perfect mix of awkwardness and desperation, eyes wide as you blurted out the confession.
The best part? The expression on your face was so utterly panicked that it made Irene burst into a fit of giggles every time she looked at it.
Then there was the one of you standing there, your hands raised in dramatic surrender, as Seulgi’s camera flashed. Your face was a blend of mortification and determination. Irene would often catch herself replaying that moment in her head — how precious you looked, fighting so hard for that confession you never thought you’d be able to get out.
But the one that made her giddy the most was a candid shot — one taken right after the kiss. It wasn’t a perfect picture by any means, but there you were, lips still pink from the kiss, standing in complete shock as Irene pulled away with that smug smile plastered across her face. You looked like you’d just been struck by lightning…
…and Irene was absolutely in love with the image.
Every time she glanced at it, she could feel the warmth in her chest, the little skip in her heartbeat.
But the real kicker? The deal she made with Seulgi.
“If you promise to keep these between us... and not use them as leverage against me,” Irene had said one day, as Seulgi grinned with her phone in hand, “then maybe... just maybe... you’ll get something in return.”
Seulgi had raised an eyebrow. “And what exactly are we talking about here?”
Irene’s eyes glinted mischievously. “The ‘one’ photo you really want. The one where I’m looking adorably happy in front of that dork. I’ll give it to you... for a price.”
“Deal,” Seulgi said instantly, knowing exactly which picture Irene was talking about — the one of her, holding her phone with a soft smile, staring at all the pictures of you. The one where the subtle joy in her eyes was enough to make Seulgi’s heart melt.
And that, of course, meant that Irene had the perfect little “deal” in her pocket. She now had the ultimate keepsake of her vice president and all those memories of their relationship’s unspoken history — one that no one else would ever know about. Not just the hilarious moments, the embarrassment, or even the kiss itself, but the sweetness of it all — tucked away in her phone, a secret only for her to see.
The first time you sent her a message after you’d arrived at your exchange program, she stared at her phone for a moment longer than necessary, then quickly typed back:
“I miss you already. Do you remember that day?”
She hit send before she could overthink it. Almost immediately, she received a reply.
“Of course I do, Joohyun.” you texted. “How could I forget? My life will forever be haunted by that day, thanks to Seulgi.”
Irene couldn’t help but chuckle, a small smile tugging at her lips.
“I’m not letting you forget. I’ll be keeping all the best pictures. After all, I did get the perfect shot,” she teased, her fingers flying over her phone.
“You wouldn’t dare...” you wrote back, but Irene could tell you were joking. Your words were playful, the tone light.
“I would,” she replied, sending a winky face along with the message. She then paused, allowing herself to enjoy the quiet connection between you two.
As Irene walked through the campus, heading toward the student council room, she felt oddly content. Despite the distance between you now, despite the teasing and the games and the back-and-forth, there was this undeniable warmth in her chest. She might have started this war thinking she’d win, but now that it was over, she realized she had already won.
You.
Her vice president. The one who had made her life absolutely ridiculous and frustrating, but also the one who had somehow captured her heart in the most unexpected of ways.
Irene flipped through the pictures once more (and the candid shot that she had set as her lock screen)— the ones of you two together — and her smile softened. It was official.
She was never letting go of this.
As she walked into the council room, still holding her phone close to her chest, Seulgi shot her a knowing look. “So, when are you going to send them all the photos and just admit you’re head over heels for your vice president?”
“Soon,” Irene said, her voice thick with happiness, as she swiped through the next batch of pictures. “Just... one more time. I want to keep this to myself for a little longer..”
Seulgi rolled her eyes but couldn’t suppress the grin that followed. “You really are hopeless. It sounds more like you definitely lost this war, isn't it?”
“…maybe.” Irene admitted, unable to stop herself from smiling widely. “But I’m hopelessly in love.”
And with that, she tucked her phone away, heart full of giddy excitement, ready to face whatever came next. After all, she had time. The war might have ended, but this?
This was just the beginning.

Read this before interacting
It had been several days since I came to the castle. … But my situation remained unchanged.
No matter how begged him to, the fairy refused to break the curse or even extend the deadline.
(I’m forbidden from leaving the castle too, so I don't have any other options…)
What hurt me even more was Ellis.
Ever since learning about his connection with Jude, I’ve started actively avoiding him.
(Just this morning…)
= Flashback Start =
Ellis: Good morning, Kate. I brought breakfast.
Ellis: I’ve got your favourite freshly baked bread with raspberry jam.
Kate: …
Ellis: … I don’t mind if you don’t talk to me, but please eat. I’m worried about you.
Ellis: You won’t have energy without water, nutrients, and sunlight…
= Flashback End =
Feelings of guilt welled up in me again when I recalled the sadness in his face as he left.
(I really do want to go back to being friends like we were, but I just can’t find the right chance…)
I wandered into the castle garden to clear my mind.
Looking at the briar made me think of him—
Kate: … Ellis…
I unintentionally called out his name.
In an instant, the briar in the garden rustled and crept towards me— suddenly, small white flowers bloomed from them.
(... It’s almost as though they’re trying to cheer me up.)
(I remember how I used to see briar as my friend.)
During my childhood, being a princess meant that I didn't have many people I could talk freely with and was hence often feeling lonely…
I’d always talk to the briar growing in the castle’s back garden.
(I’d tell it all sorts of silly things… like how much I loved raspberry jam or how the air smells after it rains.)
(... Come to think of it, I gave the briar a name too.)
There was once where a gardener tried to clear out the briar for being a nuisance, so I gave it a name to protect it.
“This is my friend! Don’t cut it away! It even has a name, it’s—”
(I… what did I name that briar again?)
I tried my best to recall… but in the end, I couldn't remember it at all.
Still, the flowers blooming from the briar were a beautiful sight and gave me the courage to apologise to Ellis for my recent attitude towards him.
Kate: I wonder where Ellis is right now…
Just as I muttered those words under my breath, the briar started stretching in one direction.
Kate: Are you… pointing me towards Ellis?
When I asked, half-convinced, more white flowers bloomed rapidly as though telling me that I was right.
Kate: Thanks, I’ll follow you.
Having grown accustomed to the peculiarities of the fairytale world, I followed after the briar.
…
(Oh, there’s Ellis… and is that Jude with him?)
Ellis: — Why don't you break Kate’s curse, Jude?
Ellis: She really wishes for you to.
Jude: Ha? Don’t ask me such stupid questions. I’m tryin’ to do somethin’ ‘bout her illness, ain’t I?
(Do something about my “illness”...?)
(The thing I have is a “curse”, isn’t it? … What illness is he talking about?)
Kate: What do you mean by that, Jude?
Jude: W-when did ya… were ya eavesdroppin’?
Ellis: Jude. Kate looks like she really wants to know, so just tell her about it.
Kate: Please do…!
Jude: …
Jude sighed… and began telling a truth I never knew.
Apparently, I had an incurable disease and my time was limited.
Jude learned of this by chance and in an attempt to help me, he cursed me so that I would fall into a deep slumber for 100 years right before my death.
Jude: After ya fall asleep, I’ll spend that 100 years searchin’ for a cure and pay back my debt.
Kate: So you were trying to help me… thank you for that.
Kate: But why didn't you clear up the misunderstanding earlier?
Judes … Says the daughter of the stupid King who won’t listen to a damn thing anyone tells him.
Kate: I-I’m sorry my father was rude…
Kate: … But I’m glad I found out about it now.
Kate: It means I won't have a misunderstanding towards you anymore… and I don’t have to think I’ve been “betrayed” by Ellis.
Ellis: … So does that mean we can go back to being friends?
Kate: If you’re alright with it, of course. … I’m sorry for treating you so coldly.
Ellis: I didn’t mind, so you don’t have to worry about that either.
Seeing Ellis’ smile at me like flowers blooming had my heart racing again.
— It felt like it was urging me to realise something, a certain feeling.
…
Later that night, after Ellis and I cleared up the misunderstanding between us and reconciled.
Ellis suddenly asked me a question after dinner.
Ellis: You don’t need Jude to break your curse anymore?
Kate: Of course not! The purpose of Jude’s curse is to keep me alive, after all.
Ellis: …
Kate: … Ellis?
Although I thought my answer was to be expected, Ellis looked surprised.
I began to worry if I had said something strange.
Ellis: If you’re fine with the curse not being broken…
Ellis: … Does that mean you still want to live?
Kate: …? Yeah. There are things I still have to do…
Although I had put it on hold for a while, I needed to find what was missing from this story and correct the twists.
(Oh… but if I fix the twist and return to my original world…)
(I won’t be able to be together with Ellis anymore.)
When I first came to this fairytale world, all I could think about was that I had to find a way back…
But along the way, I started feeling like I didn't want to leave. The main reason was Ellis.
(I want to spend more time with Ellis.)
(I want to eat delicious food with him, enjoy beautiful sights together… I’d even love to go on another journey with him.)
(I want to know more about Ellis. I want to see his smile from even closer to him…)
Those desires flowed endlessly through me, filling my heart with a strong yearning.
(Could this feeling be… love?)
That said, my life was still in danger and it wasn't the right time to be confessing to him.
(I’ve decided… once my illness is cured, I’ll tell Ellis about my feelings.)
However, while I was making that decision, I didn't notice that Ellis’ twilight coloured eyes had darkened and clouded over.
…
And so, the search for a cure to my illness began.
Although, in reality, it was Jude who did most of the actual searching and mixing potential medicine while Ellis took down the pursuers sent by my father and the assassins targeting Jude.
Meanwhile, I took care of our meals, clothes, and living space, supporting them in their everyday lives.
— But there was no progress, and time continued slipping away.
…
Jude: … We’re short on medicinal ingredients, so I’m headin’ out. Be back in half a day.
Although he’d never admit it, Jude looked worn out as he spoke before leaving the castle.
(Is it really alright to leave everything to Jude? Maybe there’s more I could be doing to help…)
Ellis: … Something on your mind, Kate?
Kate: Yeah. I’m just… frustrated that all I can do is watch from the sidelines…
Ellis: I see… is there anything I can do to help?
Ellis: I like you, so I want to give you strength.
Kate: eh.
(W-what kind of “like” does he mean…?)
I was a blushing mess but when I glanced at Ellis’ facial expression, he looked the same as always… he didn't look like he was confessing his love.
Kate: Just in case… Ellis, do you like Jude?
Ellis: Jude? Yeah, I do. I owe him, after all.
Kate: I-I see…
(... Thank goodness I didn't jump to conclusions. Ellis’ definition of “I like you” is platonic!)
It was a little disappointing, but I quickly regained my composure and returned to the topic.
Kate: Umm, anyway… I think I should do some research on my illness too.
Kate: Will you help me?
…
And so, we made our way to the study that Jude said was off-limits to us.
Kate: Found it!
Thanks to Jude’s meticulous personality, it didn't take long for us to find what we were looking for.
The research report about my illness was stored neatly in one of the desk drawers.
Kate: Um, let's see… “Briar Disease”?
According to the report, I contracted the disease by pricking myself on the thorns of a special kind of enchanted briar.
(Briar? Could it be…)
I was suddenly reminded of the briar I would talk to as a child.
(I remember being pricked by one of them and coming down with a high fever.)
(... Maybe that’s when I contracted this illness.)
“When the time comes, the thorn embedded in the body will rapidly grow, destroying the patient from their insides and ultimately resulting in death.”
“The only solution is to completely eliminate the existence of the briar the thorn came from, whether it is by burning or other means.”
As I read further, I found out that Jude had already identified the briar in question and it grew in the royal castle’s back garden.
However—.
“The briar is stubborn and unyielding, resisting all attempts to eliminate it.”
“It's a monstrous plant that regenerates even when burned or cut down. All efforts were in vain.”
Kate: So Jude concluded that it’s impossible to destroy the briar and started researching other ways to cure the illness.
Ellis: Yeah, he really tried every method he could come up with. He drowned it, froze it, burned it… you name it.
Ellis: The most painful one was when he chopped it up.
(Ellis was involved in trying to kill the briar too…)
(Since the briar is thorny, holding it while chopping it up must've hurt really badly.)
Ellis: … Hey, Kate.
Ellis: Do you truly want to cure your illness and continue living?
(I want to live, and… I want to keep talking to Ellis more and more.)
Kate: Yeah… of course.
Ellis: I see… so that’s your current wish.
Ellis: It’s… different from back then.
For some reason, Ellis wore a rather lonely smile.
Kate: Ellis…?
Ellis: … I understand your feelings. Well then, let’s go.
Ellis: If we go now, we can kill the briar.

Graven Hearts
After being unofficially banished from the Mourn Watch, rebellious Lisbette must recruit one of her former professors, Emmrich Volkarin, to help her defeat two ancient Elvhen gods. Hurt that her favourite professor never stood up for her when she needed him, Lisbette takes delight in provoking the handsome, silver-haired necromancer, perhaps enjoying herself a little too much.

Start with Chapter One
Chapter Four (NSFW)
Taash, Emmeric and Lisbette are exploring the ruins of a Warden castle in Rivain, chasing ghosts down corridors and attempting to raise various portcullises. Every time Taash looks in another direction, Lisbette squeezes Emmrich’s hand, or Emmrich strokes a knuckle softly down her spine, making her shiver in pleasure.
It’s been three days since they shared a kiss in his rooms. She’d practically launched herself at him, unable to help herself when he’d been so deliciously stern with her, and he’d opened his arms to her. Lisbette wondered if he would become flustered by her forwardness, but the professor wasn’t flustered in the slightest. She’d thrown him off balance when she’d sat in his lap that first day, but perhaps he is getting to know her better, and understands how she longs to provoke him, and so won’t allow it.
Or perhaps he enjoys it when she kisses him. It certainly seems that way.
Lisbette finds her former professor hard to resist when she feels his admiring glances everywhere she goes. Has she always had a crush on him on some level? She’d always looked forward to his classes and listening to his voice. His demonstrations were the most skilled and entrancing she’d ever seen as a young Mourn Watcher, and now watching him fight in battle, he was magnificent. Surprisingly swift and deadly for a man who enthuses, ‘Is it time for a cup of tea?’ and talks fondly to any wisps they come across.
As Taash goes on ahead, Emmrich grasps Lisbette’s hand and tugs her into an alcove for a kiss.
‘Emmrich, not that I want you to stop, but you seemed so angry with me just a few days ago. I practically told you to get out. Now we’re kissing. I know I started it, but...’
‘Did you start it?’ he asks with a smile. ‘As I remember you were asking your former professor for feedback, and I told you I had a present for you.’
She kisses him again. ‘I still haven’t got that present. But for the record, I take back being so harsh and implying I don’t want you on the team.’
‘And I regret judging you so harshly for your approach with the First Warden, and your reluctance about speaking with the Mourn Watch.’
The kiss quickly becomes heated, her back against a wall as he presses into her, her mouth opening for his tongue. Enough talking. She wants to be kissed, and kiss her he did.
Lisbette feels a fierce ache between her legs. Just kissing him isn’t enough anymore.
‘Please, when we get back to the Lighthouse tonight...’ She twines her arms around his neck and plays with his hair.
‘What Lisbette?’
‘Please can we...’ More kisses. ‘I need...’
‘ Emmrich. Rook. ’ Taash is calling for them. They can hear them walking up and down a walkway overhead.
Emmrich pushes his fingers between Lisbette’s thighs and rubs her sex through her clothes, his tongue moving with similar pressure against hers.
Lisbette’s eyes close, and she holds onto the lapels of his jacket so her knees don’t buckle. ‘Oh, gods. Fuck .’
‘I want to taste you,’ he breathes into her ear. He kisses her a final time, straightens his jacket, and strolls out into the courtyard, as casual as can be.
‘Ah! There you are, Taash. We got turned around. Lisbette’s here somewhere.’
Lisbette presses the backs of her fingers against her hot cheeks. Emmrich wants to taste her. Did he mean...? Gods. How is she meant to survive the rest of the day after hearing that?
--
Lisbette closes the door to Emmrich’s room and plasters her back against it.
Emmrich looks up from where he’s working at his desk, and gets to his feet. ‘My dear?’
‘Everyone’s looking for me. They all want something.’ Lisbette runs to him and throws her arms around his neck. She would much rather be in here kissing Emmrich.
‘Ah, so you thought you’d hide in here with me?’ he says with a smile.
She thought she might give him an opportunity to show her what he meant by I want to taste you , not that she was going to say that out loud. She’s too shy. There’s his bed upstairs, and she wishes he would take her by the hand and lead her up there.
His hands roam over her, stroking her jaw and her throat. Squeezing her waist. Then his thumb swipes over her nipple, and she moans into his mouth.
‘You make the loveliest sounds,’ he whispers.
‘I can make more,’ she says, gazing at him through her lashes.
Take the hint, Emmrich.
He does take the hint, hooking his finger into her blouse and slowly unbuttoning it. Her underclothes are nothing special, and she wishes she had coin and the time for shopping for something a bit more alluring. They don’t seem to bother Emmrich as he unlaces her top and casts it aside.
‘Aren’t you pretty?’ he murmurs, and sucks first one of her nipples into his mouth, and then the other.
Lisbette has to grip his desk with both hands to stay upright.
Gasping slightly as she watches him, she notices that his rather tight pants are growing even tighter.
Lightly, she strokes her fingers along his length through his clothes and is pleased when his breathing grows heavier.
Emmrich runs a finger around the inside of her waistband, pauses to look at her, and then undoes her pants.
On the desk? she wonders.
Apparently yes, on the desk. Oh, professor.
He pushes her back and pulls off her pants, underwear, and shoes, and then leans over her, kissing her throat, her breasts, her stomach, and then down to her...
Oh, yes. Definitely that kind of tasting.
Lisbette’s eyes close and her head tips back as his tongue curls around her clit. Her thighs hug his shoulders. She scratches her nails through his soft hair.
He pushes two fingers inside her, her tight heat closing around his fingers and rings and squeezing his flesh.
Emmrich can feel her nails digging into his shoulders, impatient for more, but he takes his time with her, slowing down the more urgent she is, just to show her she can’t have everything she wants as soon as she wants it.
But it will feel good just the same. He finds the spot inside her that’s the most sensitive and rubs it firmly.
Lisbette moans loudly, and then sits up, grasps his shoulders and pulls him closer, gasping, ‘Fuck me or I’ll die.’
Dramatic? Possibly.
Irresistible? Certainly.
Lisbette reaches for his pants, but he captures her hands and pushes her face first down over his desk, her ass pressing against his thighs and her curls tumbling over the desktop.
‘Comfortable?’ he asks her, one hand gripping her wrist and pinning it down.
‘Dying,’ she pants, her eyes half closed. ‘Please, Emmrich.’
He smiles to himself. One handed, he undoes his pants and frees his cock from the tight fabric. Lisbette is so wet as he draws the head of his cock up her sex to her entrance, and then slowly pushes inside.
Lisbette moans and arches her back in pleasure. She's been wound so tight and he's working his way through all that, burning down all her stress.
The sharp thrusts of his cock are making her see explosions of stars behind her eyes. Her insides were tightening deliciously, and every time he bottomed out inside of her she was pushed a little closer to her peak.
Locks of Emmrich’s hair is falling into his eyes, but he has both hands full of Lisbette’s hips. Her wetness is shining on his length and he can barely look away from watching himself thrusting into her. There are freckles all over her back. Her waist curves so alluringly. Her cries are throaty with pleasure. There’s too much to enjoy at once. He can’t cope. He needs this more and more, forever.
Lisbette is so loud that people must figure out where she is, and that she’s not coming out any time soon.
Her nails dig into his desk. Her back arches. She comes with a ragged cry and he quickly follows her, thrusting harder, completely letting go.
In the stillness afterwards, both of them are breathing hard. Emmrich traces a finger down her spine, admiring her bones.
‘You are beautiful, sweet Lisbette.’
‘You’re too good to me.'
‘Just good enough. I wouldn’t want to spoil you,’ he says with a smile. He does want to spoil her. Spoil her completely rotten, and he probably will.
‘I wish I could stay here with you. I suppose people are still looking for me. I should go out there,’ she mutters without much enthusiasm.
Emmrich pulls out of her and helps her up to sitting. ‘I think they might know where you are. You weren’t quiet, dearest.’
‘Oh, no.’ Lisbette covers her face. She looks so adorable sitting naked on his desk with her hair in a riot around her. She peeps through her fingers and smiles at him. ‘Sorry.’
He draws her chin up and smooths the curls back from her face. ‘I shall easily weather their teasing. Smile for me?’
She does.
‘Good girl.’ He presses a kiss to her lips. ‘Stay here and get dressed. Take your time. Drink some water. I will go out there and they may get all their ribald comments out of their systems on me.’
‘Really?’ she asks, gazing up at him with big green eyes.
He looks at her in surprise. ‘Of course. Why wouldn’t I?’
‘I thought I would have to...I’m not used to someone...’ Words seem to fail her.
‘What, Lisbette?’
She tries again. ‘That’s so kind of you. Thank you, Emmrich.’
The simplest courtesy made her lost for words. It made his heart ache. The Mourn Watch wasn’t a cruel or uncaring place. At least, to him it hadn’t been, but perhaps it had been harder on Lisbette, or perhaps the hard work and poverty of his youth was much further behind him than it was for her.
‘You’re welcome, dearest,’ he murmurs, pressing a kiss to her forehead. ‘Take your time.’
Emmrich leaves his room and finds the library deserted. Everyone has gathered in the kitchen, and they stop talking and stare as soon as he appears. Neve looks amused. Bellara is blushing and looking at her feet. Davrin has his arms folded and is scowling.
Emmrich meets all their stares with a charming smile, and says cheerfully, ’You all have five minutes to say whatever jokes and silly comments you wish to make to me, but if you even look the wrong way at Lisbette, I will raise several dead and send them into your bedroom as you sleep. All right?’
--
The following morning Lisbette knocks on Emmrich’s door holding two cups of tea. He opens it and smiles when he sees her stand there.
‘Tea? How thoughtful dearest. Do come in.’
‘It’s thank you tea,’ she tells him, following him into the room. ‘No one said a peep to me last night after, ah, I was a little noisy. Either you talked them out of teasing me or maybe they didn’t notice what we were up to after all.’
‘Perhaps they didn’t notice,’ Emmrich lies smoothly. He presses a kiss to Lisbette’s lips. ‘I’m glad you’re here as there’s something I want to ask you. I intend to visit the Necropolis today and I was wondering if you wanted to come with me.’
Lisbette looks pained. ‘Emmeric...’
He holds up his hands. ‘I know. But there is the Mourn Watch, and then there is our respect for the dead. You no longer esteem the Mourn Watch, but I think you still esteem our dead. Am I right?’
‘You sound like my professor, not my lover.’
‘Dearest, I hope I sound like someone who cares that a fellow Nervarran has been cut off from her culture. These rituals we perform are as much for us as they are for our dead.’
Lisbette groans and buries her face in the front of his shirt. ‘Was this your plan all along, to seduce me into going back to the Necropolis?’
‘I can’t say that upon seeing you again I thought ah! My beautiful former student, I must convince her to perform rituals for the dead by bedding her as lovingly as I am able.’
‘Can’t you just bed me again, as you put it?’
‘Darling, you needn’t do anything if you don’t wish for it, but you should go if you miss it.’ He dips his voice lower. ‘And to indulge me, because I have always wanted to walk hand in hand with my lover through the memorial gardens.’
He’s been imagining it vividly all night, proudly showing off his beautiful girl to all the wisps and spirits.
She looks up in surprise. ‘You never have?’
‘I have never had a Nevarran lover. Former flames of mine would not set foot in the place.’ He pauses. ‘How about you?’
‘Why, would you be jealous if I said yes?’ Lisbette teases.
Emmrich examines the rings on his fingers. ‘I am too old and jaded to be jealous. Envy is a young person’s emotion. Have you? Strolled hand in hand through the memorial gardens?’
She shakes her head. She’s barely had anyone that she might consider a lover. Certainly no one who cares for her as much as Emmrich does.
He offers her his elbow with a smile. ‘Then allow me to escort you, dearest. The gardens are so beautiful this time of year.’

Paring: Bradley "Rooster" Bradshaw x fem!Reader
Warnings: implied smut, Hangman being himself, love sick Rooster
A/N: Just a little something I thought of awhile ago for Rooster🩷
If there was one thing about Bradley "Rooster" Bradshaw was that he loved you more then he loved flying.
Rooster and you had just got engaged and the two of you could not be happier, that was until he got his orders to return to top gun. Bradley having to return for a mission did put a damper in the wedding plans but thats what you signed up when you said yes to marry a Naval fighter pilot right?
"How would you feel if I came with you" you ask while eating dinner one night
"You mean to San Diego" he looks up from his plate asking
"Yeah why not as long as I have wifi and my laptop i can work from anywhere"
"Baby that would be amazing" he said with a big smile grabbing your hand
"It's settled then after dinner I'll look for flights"
"Why not drive out have a little impromptu road trip, we'll take the bronco" Rooster says
"Even better" you reply
After dinner you begin packing and making preparations for your trip seeing how you only have a few days to get things in order.
3 days later the Bronco is packed, Playlist is made and you and Bradley are on the road heading west to San Diego!
♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
After a great yet tiring trip you make it! You were able to find housing right off a base that offered short term stays. You pull up to the little house and start to unload your things.
"What do say we go to hard decks for a drink tonight baby" Bradley says wrapping his arms around you "wanna see who else was called for this mission"
"Sounds great hopefully Nat did I miss her" you tell him "let me shower the rest of the road trip off" you say walking down the hall before pausing taking your shirt off you turn to Rooster "you gonna join me fly boy or..." before you could finish your sentence Rooster is already down the all throwing you over his shoulder "have I ever turned you down"
♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
An hour later you and Bradley are pulling into the parking lot of hard deck. He jumps out and jogs over to open your door and help you out and you both walk in.
"Baby I'm gonna go bathroom then I'll get us a few beers" you tell him "ok baby heres my card" he replied with a kiss and handing you his card
"Bradshaw, is that you? Is this how I find out your state side" Rooster hears Phoenix say while she's playing pool
"Yeah well thought I'd surprise you" He says with a cocky smirk. She then takes her shot and hits him right in the stomach with the pool stick "guess I surprised you back, it's good to see you"
"Its good to see you too" he says then gives her a hug
"How's that girlfriend of yours" Phoenix ask
"Well she's not my girlfriend anymore, She's my fiancé and she's great she's in the bathroom right now, she'll be so happy to see you" he tells her
"No shit you popped the question congratulations"
"Thank you..."
Before Rooster could say anything else another voice from his past comes to his ears
"Bradshaw, as I live and breathe"
"Hangman, you look...good" Rooster says
"Well I am good Rooster I'm very good, in fact I am to good to be true" the cocky pilot says taking a shot at the pool table eyes never leaving Roosters
Rooster just rolls his eyes at the cockiness of his fellow pilot, as the group starts talking about the mission they will all soon be on.
Meanwhile you walk out of the bathroom and over to the bar and wait your turn to order. You look over your shoulder and see your fiancé and he sends you a wink.
It still amazes you that after all this time he still gives you the same butterflies as he did the night you met.
♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
As Rooster is still talking to his friends he see y/n at the bar and sends her a wink, little did he know Hangman also saw y/n at the bar and wanted to prove how good he was. The problem was he didn't know who she was but he was about to find out...
"Well look what just walked in" Hangman says and everyone looks over to the bar
"Yeah thats..." Phoenix starts to say but is stopped by Rooster
"Damn that girl is fine" "look at that ass" Rooster hears Cody and Fanboy say. Rooster just smiles to himself. Nobody had ever met Y/n or even knew about her but Phoenix
"And Rooster I'm about to show you just how good I am. If you'll excuse me I'm bout to go by a beautiful lady a drink and get a number" Hangman says walking away towards the bar
"Aren't you gonna stop him" Phoenix ask
"Nope he'll find out real fast that my girl can take care of herself" Rooster says with a smirk.
Back at the bar you are still waiting for the bartender when you hear a voice beside you
"Well what brings a gorgeous woman like you in a navy bar" you turn and look and see it's one of the pilots Bradley was just talking to.
You shoot Rooster a look and he just winks and that let's you know you can have some fun.
"What can I say I love a man in uniform" you say in a flirty voice. "So you gotta name mr navy"
"Jake but my callsigns Hangman"
"So a pilot even better" just then the bartender makes it your way
"What can I get you ma'am" he says
"2 coronas with lime please" you go to give him the card Bradley gave you when a hand stops you "I'll take care of it" jake says handing the man his card.
"Well thank you flyboy" you say
Hangman continues to flirt and throw his best pick up lines your way, you are trying hard not to laugh. The bartender comes back with your beers and you pick them up but not before Jake throws his arm around you.
"So what about you give me your number" he says "we can go out one night what do you"
Neither you or Jake saw but that was it for Rooster it was funny but he isn't gonna let any guy touch his girl
"You know..." you start to say as you try to move his arm when you hear Roosters voice behind you
"Hangman"
"Can we help you Rooster" Hangman says again in a cocky voice with a smirk
"Yes you can get your arm off my fiancé" He says with a cocky smile while Jake's smile falls from his face
"No way Rooster this girl is to hot for you" jake says laughing til he finally looks and sees the ring and the dog tags around your neck how did he not see any of that before he thinks to himself then pulls his arm off you.
"Yeah but thanks for the beer man, come on baby Nat is dying to see you" Rooster says grabbing your hand and tipping his beer bottle to Jake
"It was nice meeting you" you say hopping down off the bar stoll with a wave leaving Jake standing there speechless.
♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
"Nat I'm happy to see you I missed you" you say hugging Phoenix
"I missed you too I can't believe you didn't tell me you got engaged to this man"
"Its been less then a month I haven't told many people yet plus I never know how to get ahold of you"
"Baby let me introduce you to everyone this is Coyote, Payback, Fanboy, Bob," just as Rooster is introducing you to everyone Jake walks over "and you met Hangman" he says with a laugh
"Nice to meet you all and Hangman thanks for beers" you laugh and everyone joins in
"That was a mean joke" Hangman says
"Sorry how bout next round on Bradley and me" you say as a peace offering
"Deal" he says
A few minutes later you are getting another round for everyone when you hear the sound of a piano. You don't even have to turn round to know who's playing it
"You shake my nerves and you rattle my brain
Too much love drives a man insane
You broke my will, but what a thrill
Goodness gracious, great balls of fire
I laughed at love 'cause I thought it was funny
You came along and you moved me honey
I've changed my mind, this love is fine
Goodness gracious, great balls of fire"
You walk over and sit on Roosters lap while he sings.
Kiss me, baby, you kiss his cheek
Ohhh the feels good
Hold me, baby
Well, I'll still love you like a lover should
You're fine, so kind
Got to tell this world that you're mine, mine, mine, mine"
♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
You get home that night a little tipsy and very touchy
"So wanna have some fun Lieutenant Bradshaw" you say stripping your clothes off
" I love when you call me Lieutenant" Bradley says running his hands down your hips to your ass
"Well Lieutenant have your way with me"
" On one condition...you leave the dog tags on" he says kissing down your neck
"Yes sir"

I Own You
This is a story for the anon who requested dark axl rose who is a villain and he seduces the reader.
I wrote axl as a gang!leader this will be a dark erotic thriller. I hope you like it, anon.
Don’t go out after curfew as the city of los angeles is terrorized by a gang, led by it’s seductive leader axl rose.
Warnings: axl is a gang!leader, smut including: knife-play, blood-play, threesome, an orgy and mention of orgy, fem!slash and mention of fem!slash, violence, drug use, language and strong sexual language. (I went a little crazy with this story)
Minors please don’t interact
Los Angeles is an interesting place to live. Everything is normal during the day when the city-folk would go to school or work. It seems like a nice place to raise a family. There is a catch, don’t go out after curfew as LA was owned and being terrorized by a gang.
Surprisingly, the population never hear the debauchery and violence that happens during the night. You see, this gang has connections to businesses including the local pharmaceutical company who sells a pill that people take at night so all they hear is silence.
The gang is called, The Family and is led by a seductive leader named Axl Rose. The group includes Axl’s inner circle of men and a young girl named Quinn. Quinn joined the gang after her father sold her to payoff a debt he had with the group.
Quinn is still a high school student and is allowed to go out during the day. While in school, Quinn became best friends with Y/N when she was new to town and didn’t know anyone. The moment Quinn met you she knew you’d be a perfect mate for Axl and birth his child who will take over the gang if he is ever got caught by police.
Quinn made sure to rush home to the family and tell them about Y/N. She found out you work the night-shift at a porn shop which means you would have to walk home in the dark after curfew. A perfect way for Axl to meet his pet.
You usually kept the door locked as you stock merchandise and hang around the cash register while reading romance novels.
You suddenly hear the sound of a shot-gun and a woman scream. You get scared but are curious about what happened. You look out the window and see a man with long hair and a bandana. He has the woman who screamed by her shirt collar that was ripped.
You felt yourself get heated as you watched him kiss the woman as her boyfriend lay dead. Turning away from the window, you couldn’t bear to watch the sight. Still feeling curious, you turn back to watch as the mysterious man fucked the woman out in the open street.
Feeling yourself unlock the door, you ran outside and yelled, “HEY, LEAVE HER ALONE YOU BITCH!!”.
He lets the woman go and as she ran off. He looked at you, annoyed. You start to panic as you run back to the shop your parents own, but the man is too fast for you and grabs you as you try and get away from him.
Pushing you against the door, he pulls out a knife and puts it against your neck as you turn away from him in fright.
“Did you like the show, darling”. He asks you with an evil smile.
You look at him innocently trying to give him a silent message to let you go. When you don’t say anything he puts his head on your neck and breathes in your scent. You roll your eyes as you feel yourself get turned on. You moan when you feel him bite your neck. Finally getting out of his embrace, you safely get in the shop.
“I’m gonna get you!” You hear the man say as he chuckles. Feeling a bit of excitement in your pussy, you make sure to lock the door as a fight breaks outside a bank and the man runs off to join his friends.
****
That night you couldn't sleep as images of what happen haunted your dreams. Worried that the man had given you a threat, you begged your parents if you could at least stay at home.
Your parents refused saying the hard work would do you good. At school the next morning, you greeted Quinn and asked her if she would hang-out with you at the shop that evening as protection. She seemed more of a bad-ass herself than you ever did.
You enter the school and see her at the cafe reviewing her notes for the morning math test.
"Hey, Quinn!” You call out to her.
“Listen, I need some help. My parents own a shop in town and always make me work the night shift. I need a friend to look after me and since you are the coolest chick in school I was wondering if you would join me?”
Quinn was silent as she thought for a moment. You are worried she would think it’s a stupid idea. Little did you know, she had other ideas.
“I will help you but you have to come to a house party I am throwing once we are finished”.
You sighed in relief and planned to meet Quinn after school so you could walk her to the porn shop. You are a little embarrassed at what she would think of it. What you don’t know is she is surrounded by sex at a daily basis in her home.
Once it was the end of the day, Quinn agreed to walk with you to work. It was slowly getting dark and you are nervous that this mysterious gang would attack you and Quinn. You didn’t realize that she was a member of the gang and as long as you are with her you will not be harmed. There was already talk from Axl, who had met you the night before that no other man from the group could touch you.
As you walked through the dark streets you thought you saw the man from the night before. You noticed a strip-club get raided and you gasped when you saw him. When he saw you, you grab Quinn’s hand and run to your shop which was just down the road. You screamed as you saw the man chase after you. You swear you heard him call Quinn’s name but you are too frightened to care.
Finally getting to the shop, you are too late as the man was able to push his way in.
“Hey, darling I knew I’d get you”. He laughed in glee.
“Leave her alone, Axl”. Quinn told him off.
Even though Quinn was the youngest in the gang she had a fierce attitude.
“Shut up Quinn, you know what happens when you are a bad girl”.
“Wait, you two know each other.” You say in disbelief.
Quinn introduced you to Axl as he smiled at you. You turn away, you can’t look at him. You had heard night-time stories about Axl and his gang of misfits. These stories would keep you up at night fearing for your life. There was a rumour that Axl’s gang would collect forgotten youth, more like forgotten women for their sexual pleasure. Women whose families gave up on them, but that was just a rumour, right?!
“Get out of here, Axl we’ll see you at the party later.”
Axl winks at you as he leaves the shop. To say you are speechless is an understatement.
“Why didn’t you tell me you know him?” You asked Quinn.
“It’s a sad story but Axl gave me a family when my own family gave up on me.”
You are shocked to learn the rumours are true. Axl really is a monster, how can he forcefully take young women against their will. Unbeknownst to you, these women happily joined the gang even if temporarily.
Giving Quinn a tour of the shop, you showed her everything. She had the bright idea of having you dress in one of the bondage outfits that your family sold. It was a piece of leather that wrapped around your tits and around your pussy in a zig-zag pattern. The out-fit even had a short skirt that barely covered your lady-parts.
You originally refused to wear it but when Quinn explained the type of people who would be at the party, you agree to wear it.
Time went by very fast as you and Quinn chatted about what life was like in the gang. You wondered how she was loyal to Axl and his gang mates. You admire Quinn’s positive attitude towards everything.
Finally it was time to change into your bondage out-fit. Feeling yourself get wet as you put it on, you feel yourself squirt and you moan as you watch Quinn lick your cum off your leg.
She grabs your hand after you lock up the shop and you walk together to her party.
*****
Once you enter Quinn’s party you notice there is a lot of rough housing. You look at each of Axl’s men, two looked past-out on drugs while the other three are having a group orgy with two women. You blush as you watch the women fight as they made out. You swear you saw them lick their tongues together. You whimper as you watch the scene.
Quinn pulls you away and walks you towards Axl who is sitting on a chair with a woman in his lap. She is topless in her underwear as she rubs herself against his jeans. He hides himself in her hair as you walk over to greet him.
Once the greeting is over, Axl offers you a powered drug. He watches with a smirk as you gladly snort the drug up your nose. When you feel the effects of the drug, you feel someone carry you upstairs to a bedroom and let you sleep it off. Axl grins as he has you right where he wants you. It’s only a matter of time that he will make his move on you. In bed, better yet maybe in the shower. Using the wetness of the water to get you off on his body was just perfect to him. You’ll literally look like a water goddess. He’ll wait as he didn’t want to scare you.
*****
It was dark, you didn’t realize you were sleeping in Axl’s home for a few days. You feel someone next to you, thinking it was Quinn you sigh in relief. You slowly start to wake up from your slumber and smile over at her.
“Thank you for bringing me here, Quinn.” You say to her with a smile.
She kisses your hand and looks over behind you. You turn your body around and you see Axl. Just as you are about to scream, Axl covers your mouth. When you have settled down. He gives you a light peck.
“Sit on my face, darling. Let me make you feel good.”
You know Axl frightens you but you are intrigued. You roll on-top of him and climb up his body until your clothed pussy is at his mouth. You look up as you pull your skirt up and move the leather material out of the way. As he starts to lick your flesh, you can’t help but to rock against him. You are so high in the sky, you don’t notice that Quinn began to finger herself as she watched. Axl was a master at eating you that it didn’t take very long for you to squirt in his face. He had his mouth open at the right time, drinking your cum. Once the encounter is over you slide down his body and kiss him hungrily, lining up your pussy with his cock. You hold your breath as he pushes himself inside you and you moan as you both become one.
Was this what Quinn and the rest of the gang wanted? You to be Axl’s play-thing and give him a baby? Regardless if it was, you didn’t care. You love the feeling of being with him in an intimate way and getting to share that experience with your best friend was even better.
When Axl climaxed inside you, you moan out his name in ecstasy. You swear you heard yourself call him ‘daddy’ in the heat of the moment. What you didn’t realize was that sex with Axl was your initiation into the gang. Every member of the gang had a different experience. The men in the group had to do something criminal like rob a bank while Quinn’s initiation was a group orgy. sexuality was open and free in Axl’s gang it’s how the members gave their love to one another.
*****
That was exactly three years ago, you now are the mother of a three-year-old girl named Willow who was the light in your life. Not only did Axl protect her from harm but also the family did too. Axl’s right-hand man named Duff imprinted on Willow and he felt the need to be her saviour from the dark life-style of Los Angeles.
You had disappeared since meeting Axl’s gang but your parents knew what you were up to. You later found out that your parents made a deal with Axl’s gang that they would give you up to them when you were of legal age. Meeting Quinn in high school was a set-up. Regardless of what happened in your life, you are happy and content being loyal to Axl. You would literally die for him. The final part of your initiation was, Axl cut his wrist and made you taste his blood. It made the love-bond forever. “well, coriolanus never played with dolls, but tigris and i did,” billy softly corrects, moving her left foot away from the water and reaching for her right one to repeat the process. he can tell just by the way she talks to him that she’s having a hard time believing his story. “did he ever say anything ‘bout me? my brother, i mean.” most of billy’s friends from thirteen don’t know much about his background and he can’t help but wonder if coriolanus’ ever mentioned him. “how can i convince you that i’m not my brother?” maybe all they need is time, billy thinks to himself, forgetting that he’s supposed to be on his merry way in the morning. but he can’t leave her here. she’ll die. “sorry to rain on your parade again, but last time i was at the capitol or in any penthouse, i was five years old. i’m a little older now,” he counters, but there’s no actual bite to his voice. he’s persistent but far from hateful or angry. “and i’m not a snow anymore. i took my mother’s maiden name after she…” died. but the word sours on his tongue. “to honor her.” he couldn’t call himself william snow while surrounded by rebels, and so he introduced himself to everyone as billy bonney. “that doesn’t surprise me at all. our grandmother hates people from the districts with a passion, fears ‘em, too. maybe you reminded her of our ma on top of it all.” not that their mother was born in the districts, but she had a very similar hair color, was a petite woman with a love for colorful dresses, much like the one she’s wearing now. “i’m sorry you got to meet her,” he sighs, cleaning the blisters on her right foot with utmost tenderness. he’s seen worse things. it doesn’t really bother him. “i’m not my brother.” he feels like a broken record, but what else is he supposed to say? her story sounds crazy and he’s still trying to wrap his head around it, but the blisters on her feet and the state that she’s in are a testimony of their own.
“lucy gray. that’s a nice name.” very beautiful, but it’s left unsaid, hanging in the air between them. she is very beautiful, even with all this dirt and scratches and matted hair. her eyes are very unique, hypnotizing. “nice to meet you, lucy gray,” he offers, briefly wondering if he should shake her hand but making no move for it. “what i meant by…?” he trails off, unsure what she’s talking about. he keeps glancing upwards, smiling shyly in hopes it might soften her demeanor. he dries her right foot and rubs some iodine into her wounds before pulling the other warm sock on it. he lets go of her ankle, her words still ringing in his head as part of him refuses to accept them — a liar with a bad heart, that’s not his brother, that’s not the coriolanus he remembers. “will you let me see ‘em? while we’re at it? i’ll just take a quick look and put some iodine on ‘em. you should change out of this dress anyway. can’t sit here all drenched, you’ll get sick.” his heart lurches into his throat as he can’t help but wonder what kind of wounds her clothes are hiding. bullet wounds? just little scratches? animal bites?
“mhm.” got what from his mother? being entirely wrong and insane? “hard to believe you did that.” the songbird muses, bitterly thinking how he has no heart for himself let alone anyone else. “last i checked…tigris, you and grandma’am all shared a condo. the snow penthouse.” lucy gray reminds since he’s out of his mind and can’t even think for himself. “you never spoke highly about your grandmother even back then. and she didn’t take a likin’ to me much either, so that makes sense.” of all things, he does seem to remember this information about his hateful grandma. “except— you did. you did attack me first in the woods the last time. so i came prepared this time.” dumbass, she bites her tongue from blurting that last word like she almost does. “lucy. my full name is lucy gray, you know that.” annoyingly glaring off to the side, “i don’t know what you meant before.” because at times, she was using him too— in the beginning. a part of her did spark care and love in her heart for him, there was a glimmer of it but it didn’t engulf her because she knew something wasn’t honest about him. she knew something was OFF. those bad feelings extinguished any forming burning love in her chest for him the second she began to sense those red flags arise, even long before he started shooting at her or lied to her. it’s complicated on how to put it in words, because at times her heart did flutter when he was kind to her and kind to maude ivory. when they exchanged kisses and that day at the lake— but all of that died and to her, he very well could’ve just been faking it all which makes it easier to pretend those feelings never happened. “course i cared for you, but i began realizin’ you aren’t the noble person i thought you were and i don’t go for people like that. a liar with a bad heart is a quick way to turn me off.” so in other words, no, she doesn’t have feelings for him anymore. if his kind acts were genuine like the acts he’s doing now, then she certainly would’ve changed her mind. it’s a weird feeling, seeing him be nice to her, it serves to irritate her even more because she would’ve liked coriolanus to be this person but instead he was a monster. is a monster. “there’s one on my upper arm,” covered by her sleeve on her left arm, “and a few cuts on my legs. but those’ll be fine...” she claims even though they aren’t as she watches him slip the sock onto her foot.

Day 3 Aleheather week 2024
Day three, November 13th - Obsession/Therapy
Create something that shows obsession between Aleheather OR some form of therapy for Aleheather.
I decided to go for a deep dive into Alejandro's thoughts back in World Tour. Enjoy!
Alejandro was in distress to say the least. He never felt this way before. He wasn’t supposed to! Everything had been going according to plan thus far in the game. One by one his fellow competitors fell for his wit and charms and were knocked out of the ring. Easy as pie. But he could have never foreseen the one obstacle standing in his way from a total landslide win.
A spunky little minx with cold, slate eyes that dared defy him every step of the way.
And while Alejandro could handle her the best of times, she did the one thing nobody has ever managed to pull off. She got under his skin. She played, seduced, bested, and tempted him until he felt Eros’ arrow pierce him through the back and into his heart, and he knew, the instant she cornered him in the cargo hold with her fiery disposition that he fell in love with her.
This was not in his cards, and that made Alejandro stumped on what to do.
He could still play her, try and get her kicked out of the game. But the stakes were so much higher now. Alejandro wasn’t after just the money now. He wanted her, too.
Heather started out as just an amusing plaything for him. Someone for him to best along the way and show his superiority. But somewhere along the way she managed to sneak through his defenses and steal his heart. Alejandro greatly admired her unyielding spirit, brutal honesty, cunning, and alluring beauty. How can he not? She was his perfect match. A worthy rival. If someone was going to take him down it would be her for sure.
And that’s why Alejandro had to formulate a plan to get rid of her quickly. How can he get both the money and the girl in one fell swoop?
Heather had to go. That was unavoidable by now. She was becoming far too distracting for his own good. She was a weakness he cannot afford to have. Heather was way too irresistible when she was flustered, and it made it hard for Alejandro to hold back from teasing her every time he saw her. Alejandro would be sad to see her go. It would’ve been fun to compete against her in the finale, but he wasn’t going to take any chances.
The hard part is taking her down while also simultaneously winning her over. Heather would never accept being bested. If he boots her off he is losing any chance he might’ve had with her for sure. Alejandro needs to find a way to play smarter, not harder.
Perhaps he is looking at the situation at the wrong angle. What if he made it seem as though her elimination was out of his hands? If Alejandro made it seem as though he were her ally instead, he could get into her good books, while also pulling the strings in the background to pave the way for her elimination. He could exempt himself from all guilt and make himself look good in the process. She would have no reason to hate him then! Maybe this way, when he reached the finale he could profess his feelings for her and she won’t be so quick to turn him down. Alejandro and everyone in the cast knew she had a crush on him. Heather was just stubborn about it.
Either way, Alejandro is winning this game. He is going to get the million dollars and Heather will be his one way or another!

I'll never be able to take the theory that Vincent is Sephiroth's real father seriously cuz I cannot stress enough how important I think it is to the plot that Vincent wanted to fuck Lucrecia and did not get to.
#once again i jest but now i have to actually talk about it#like. okay we have no proof of any actual timeline for the dirge flashbacks other than. it was at least 30 years ago#so who knows how long they were at the manor. could have been weeks before The Incident. or months. or maybe a full year! who knows#but to me a timeline of like. they fucked and like a week later vincent found The Evidence and lucercia had her little breakdown#AND THEN EXTREMELY QUICKLY SHE AGREED TO THE EXPERIMENT AND IT COULD GO ONE OF TWO WAYS#1. she knew she was pregnant and thats why she agreed to the experiment cuz there was already a usable subject#and therefore she must have fucked hojo like a week after she fucked vincent AND THATS STUPID FAST FOR THESE EVENTS#or 2. she didnt know. agreed to the experiment. fucked hojo. and therefore thought seph was hojo's and NOT vincent's#AND BY THE WAY. i dont even actually believe hojo fucked either!!! cuz theyre both scientists so why wouldnt they think IVF was the best way#okay. well.... hojo is canonically a fucked up little freak. so. he might have taken the opportunity to... get in there.#also when did ivf even start being a thing? cuz that may play a factor into this if nomura even considered that#well either way lets just unfortunately assume hojo got in there#ITS STILL AN ODDLY FAST TIMELINE#also. fuck man doesnt lucrecia have a later line in dirge where she actually says shes in love with hojo? or something along those lines#IMPLYING ITS BEEN AWHILE SINCE SHE HAD THE FALLING OUT WITH VINCENT. YOU WOULDNT FUCK THE GUY AFTER ALL THAT SHIT#AND WHILE CLAIMING TO LOVE/CURRENTLY FALLING IN LOVE WITH HOJO!!!! LIKE CMON MAN!!!! SHE SUCKS BUT SHES NOT THAT KIND OF A MESS#i dont think vincent would fuck her until they sorted out their issues anyway and that CLEARLY didnt happen.#its VITAL that that did not happen!!!!#its just. if vincent and lucrecia fucked. everything would have had to happen EXTREMELY fast within like a 2 week timespan#and im just talking about up to when vincent learns shes partaking in the experiment. it was probably another week or two until vincent died#SO. logically it must have been like#fall in love->learn about the gimoire incident->refuse to speak to vincent->get obsessed with hojo->fall in love(?)#and then thats where i think its ambiguous on did the experiment become an idea before or after seph started to exist?#like chicken or the egg ya know. experiment idea or sephiroth zygote?#that feels fucked up to say. im so fucking sorry to seph to talk about this. yeah sorry i have to debate who fucked your mom bro#god imagine telling him that. like not even as a reveal thing cuz he knows who his father is. just like as a sick joke. your mom joke.#NO OH M Y GOD I HAVE A QUESTION NOW#in accordance to him having a photo of lucrecia in ever crisis. after he reads that jenova is an ancient (incorrect btw)#does he think that picture is still her? what about when he takes jenova's body from the lab????#oh my god 30 tag limit. FUCK. i need like a rant blog for all this vincent talk now. my brain is going a mile a minute

it's kind of weird to me that they didn't bother releasing sushi and tempura internationally at all but at the same time i'm kinda glad they didn't cuz like. yo-kai watch was financially failing in the west by the time 3 released. i feel like if they had released sushi and tempura the franchise would've completely tanked before we got sukiyaki which would've sucked. honestly if anything i feel like it's more surprising that we got all three versions of 2 instead of them just releasing psychic specters but tbf i think yo-kai watch was doing well in the west when 2 released. 2 is just inexplicably what killed the franchise despite being a masterpiece-
#puppy rambles#yo-kai watch#yw3#yw2#idk. i have a lot of thoughts on this stuff#still upset i didn't find out 3 released in america until a while after it did :/ could've gotten a physical copy if i'd found out earlier#but alas. i'm just stuck with a boring digital version. i mean the digital versions of yo-kai watch games are better but like. still#i never got maginyan in blasters even though i could've. the code or whatever was on the receipt but my mom bought it for me#from the nintendo website. and i don't think she checked it and i don't think i found out that was where it was until a bit after i got it-#i did get machonyan and jibanyan t/komasan t's codes entered though so i can get them on any playthrough now#unless i put the sd card in another 3ds since apparently it's system-based instead of sd card based??? which is really stupid#but you can probably bypass that with cfw and i do plan on modding my 3ds eventually#it'll just be a process cuz i don't have an sd card slot on my computer and idk if my moms would be willing to help#so i'll probably have to get a separate sd card reader or whatever. which i do think my moms would be okay with i mean#it's my system and they're cool with piracy lfskdjfjkfsdkljfd-#my moms are so cool <3 i just wish i could get them interested in yo-kai watch but they don't seem to care lfskdjfkjsfdjlksfd-#they determined the battle system doesn't sound fun but i might've just described it badly#i mean tbf. it is very annoying sometimes. especially when my healer just will not heal the other yo-kai#''DO YOUR FUCKING JOB TATTLECAST STOP LOAFING'' -me playing 2#that being said if 1's switch port ever releases in america i am totally playing it on the tv#i WILL force my moms to watch me play funni ghost game whether they like it or not /lh#if we do ever get 1's switch port i hope they make it a collection of some kind with 2 and 3 remasters too i would buy that in a heartbeat#i mean obviously i will buy any american-released yo-kai watch stuff in a heartbeat aside from maaaaaybe y-school heroes#(i'm sorry y-school heroes fans i just cannot get into it. from concept alone it sounds like i would not enjoy it)#maybe sangokushi too if we ever get that but i feel like we probably won't#idk if the franchise it's a crossover with is popular enough in america for that#i hope we get more english yo-kai watch content once ghost craft releases. kinda feel like it's testing the waters tbh#i know it's seemingly just a spiritual successor but still#i do hope that it being a spiritual successor doesn't mean yo-kai watch is over. i doubt that it will since like#punipuni still gets semi-frequent updates

"I know that everyone thinks he was this old many who was so out of touch with life but he knew exactly what was going on and he just wanted to make sure Jase was being safe, There was like a briefing at SHEILD not too long after about internal relationships and a whole new team dedicated to like HR and stuff." Jenna laughed, Jason had been so embarrassed and Jenna thought it was the funniest thing still. "I mean... I did have a fling with Johnny Storm and everyone hated it because there was this unspoken rivalry but like he was hot both physically and also in terms of temperature." She smirked, giggling to herself.
Letting herself laugh at Colts attempt to help her not continue to sour the mood, Jenna leaned back with a smile, tugging her blanket up around her arms and settling. "Thank you." She said softly, head leaning back against the couch for support as she turned to face him.
"It'll be fun that's for sure. I'll have to message Sarah and let her know you're coming. I'm sure she'll be excited but already half planned everything." She shook her head, Sarah was basically her sister as far as things went and she was so excited to see them this time of year. "With an extra permanent addition, I got lucky."
"Come on!! That's my right as older sister!! I get to play match maker." She said before lightly kicking his foot. "I'm sure theres more than one... how do you feel about Princess... mm nah Shuri's not around either..." Her mind went racing as she tried to find someone she could match him with. "No one is ever safe from Yelena, ohhh what about a hulk? I don't know if Jennifer is coming..."
"Bully, great another one." Jen continued teasing, eyes narrowing at the nudge as she continued to eat her pizza, pretending to watch the movie that was essentially just background noise at this point. "Jase is just extremely protective, I think it's his oldest sibling complex."
"There was a time where I offered to replace his door with one of those revolving ones." Jenna laughed, remembering the glare she got at the suggestion, didn't help that it was in front of their father who was then concerned at what Jason was doing. "I don't think he is anymore, at least not with people from that side. Less sexual harassment paperwork has been filled out." She chuckled, it had only happened once but she'd never let him live it down. He had been the one reporting someone.
"Things that were taken out after shit happened." She didn't want to speak about it, not over pizza but she would tell him eventually. "You don't need to make up for anything I'm just glad you weren't around for that... It wasn't a good time and Dad never forgave himself for it but... I'll explain another time." She huffed, shoving more pizza in her mouth to stop the talking.
"I just wanted family for the longest time, Like a proper family that did things together and celebrated the holidays and I got that now." She shrugged, feeling a warmth filling her as she thought of all the family she had now. "I don't know if peace is the right word, I mean the kids are grown but theres three little Bartons around and if Sam and Sarah come, theres two more." she shook her head with a smile.
"Yup, Yelena has a bit of a crush but Kate doesn't work like that. More platonic best friends that were enemies I guess." Jenna chuckled, remembering how excited Yelena was to introduce her to Kate when they decided to be friends. "Kate probably would, maybe even Carol but she'd off world at the moment... hmm I wonder who else is single and will be there.." She teased, already playing match maker in her mind.

i made an oc thats at least nicknamed "Stupid" and im constantly thinking about what a power move that is tbh
#toy txt post#i miss it i should play w her more often but it was going to be for a dnd thing that ive all but abandonded bc i feel like#i cant. do that but it sucks bc i had some cool fun concepts and characters but it was hard enough back then when i was just insecure and#knew nothing about dnd and was intimidated by the mechanics but wanted to try dming for some reason but now i just straight up dont know#what to do but i really enjoy those characters. i should just unlock the secret channelsand scrap the dnd game idea for now and keep the#concepts and im sure i could come up w something if i ever actually learned anything about that shit#anyway. my point being. im obsessed w my character i made up and you should be too cos its good shit#toxic anarchist half dragon demigod with authority issues whos an alloaro clown named Stupid Cupid.#i think her pronouns were whatever but also it/she? when i say toxic i mean it did have a bit of a Clown Cult.#Cupid i think is possibly its given name and Stupid was her clown ass addition and yes i do know of the song and yes it is on its playlist#obsessed w all the stupid overpowered characters i made in that universe. they were such good concepts. gulliver obviously. charybdis#silas (cupids father + previous (now deceased) god of chaos)#cupids mother who i dont think i had a name for yet but she was supposed to be kind of a neutral lawful (in a rules lawyering way)#moon paladin who hatefucked the god of chaos after failing to kill him which she was trying to do out of devotion to the moon#and she supposed to have what i can only describe as chainsaw powers? and she destroyed every gun in existence and killed anyone who knew#how to make them until there were no guns left bc silas kept being annoying w guns and was trying to use them on the moon. for reasons#so she really pissed him off and impressed him before she finally got to him and tried to kill him. and if she was even a minor god instead#of a 'mortal' it wouldve worked and thats the only reason he didnt die from her. and then her child. stupid cupid the clown#grew up and had issues and started a clown cult and wandered around usurping warlords and dictators before putting her aim on silas#and trying to kill him. but failing not bc she was mortal but bc he outsmarted it. but he couldbt bring himself to kill it so he had her#put to sleep for a thousand yrs until someone else killed him(he pissed off a stupid seagull druid who lured him into the path of Charybdis#who he'd ALSO pissed off and Charybdis mega killed him and then the gull druid was made the new god of chaos just to have someone fill the#roll but then they kind of suck at it? they did not want that much responsibility altho the immortality is nice. when they took over they#released cupid whos a bit of a legend but then the vibes are super weird bc cupid Definitely wants to usurp and take on the mantle of#chaos deity and gulliver idolizes her but doesnt feel great about just handing that over to it? and cupid has to grapple with not being the#one to kill silas. almost everyone she knew is dead. her mom isnt. the world has changed a lot. she finds out her cult is still going and#gets excited? but they have Changed. it disgusts her now. they are not the radical clowns she intended. the vibes are weird. she denounces#that and tries out piracy. she manages to get the moon paladin living chainsaw power?#despite not being aligned w their ideology at all. wow nepotism. then it was going to spiral into some fucking meta galactic shit and have#well. ran out of tags. anyway i miss this character i should figure out what im doing w this universe cos theres no way im dming rn 🙃

the depth of abandonment trauma i'm discovering i have is kind of insane
#my dad was absent by choice and my mom by circumstance and i raised myself#god. that's fucked up#i saw a reel earlier about growing up with an absent mother and it just stung me to my core#all the little things i forgot. coming to her about something and i couldn't show her it. she would be napping or praying or something#and want me to leave her alone. or i would want to tell her about things and she wouldn't feel well and i would never get the chance#i asked her so many times when i was a teenager if we could do things and she was always too busy or not feeling well or forgot#or couldnt or wasnt interested. and then she would complain we never spent time together or did anything fun#she didnt go to any of my plays. or my graduation celebrations#or my choir performances. i had to drop clubs to take care of her#she would be on the phone when i needed to talk to her about things or ignore me after my dad gave me verbal beatings to sleep#and i would have to sit in the hall and cry quietly from like ages 7-10 for her to pay any attention when it got late#i had to hide food wrappers in the trash because she restricted the kind of food i could eat and did the crunchy mom food shaming thing#i didnt tell her about my friends or my life or my online world or even when i was being stalked by my ex. because she wouldn't listen#i just felt quiet and small and worthless around her. nothing was ever a big enough problem for her for it to be worth anything more than a#one-off discussion that she would forget about. all she ever talked about was my brother and she gave him so many more chances than me#i love her still. she's done a lot of good things for me and my partner#and she's learning how to be better and she tried her best with a tbi and shitty marriage and other stuff#that being said. she still doesnt feel like my mother#an aunt if anything. but i dont think i can ever really see her as my mother#because she took all my care and kindness and then left me to raise myself when i needed her. both intentionally and not#and i dont know how to forgive her for that#wow! thats therapy topics for latwer. goddamn.#vent
