Can you do a series for nepo baby of how her pregnancies went. Like cravings, her attire, what emotions she went through, the birth(s), how Eddie handled it, something with Wayne and nepo baby’s parents involved. I really LOVE when pregnancy fics are in depth
so overall nepo baby had a pretty good pregnancy each time- obv she was pregnant six times lol. she's one of those people who say like they enjoyed being pregnant, and she meant that.
she was sick a little, but nothing horrendous, and tbh a lot of the reason she felt so well was she was pampered the entire time. prenatal massages weekly, she went to birthing classes, and did yoga and had a birth coach/ doula. she spared no expense, neither did her parents or eddie.
the worst was with vega bc it was unexpected and was considered a 'geriatric pregnancy' so she was a little more on edge. the symptoms hit her a little harder and she was on bed rest for a long while.
eddie was so enthralled watching her pregnancies, watching how she grew, feeling the babies grow and move, and just how every single pregnancy was different.
she had the biggest cravings with the twins, duh, and they were the weirdest. she craved halloween pumpkin reeses during her pregnancy, and eddie had to scour the earth for them- paying too much to get them, because the easter ones would not cut it!!! she doesn't eat a lot of processed food as a mom (she's one of those that is into organic and farm to table, not vegan or almond mom like extreme, just more so free from preservatives bc they're harmful) and tried her best during her pregnancy but she got the weirdest craving for cosmic brownies and cool ranch doritios... together, when she was pregnant with zarah. eddie's in heaven bc fuck yeah he loves those, but also... together???? doesn't dare question it bc her hormones still rage from time to time.
she's insatiably horny all through the pregnancy with persephone. more emotional and cries all the time with kensington (eddie swears thats why kensie is emotional). with the twins she's sick the majority of the time and swells a lot, but to eddie its a win because her boobs are huge. the third trimester is the worst with them and she's super tired but tries not to be bc she wants to be with her other babies, and eddie has to constantly tell her to slow down and take it easy. zarah she's got the weird cravings, but it's her best pregnancy. everything's easy and relaxed (just like zarah in general) and she's just glowing and happy and excited. then with vega her hormones are on level ten and she's all over the place, mood swings left and right, and eddie is thrown each time lol (we'd expect nothing less from the mini queen of chaos vega).
I hc on my last blog she'd do home births, just for more intimacy and privacy. I think the twins and vega would be in a private hospital, just because it's safer and they were more high risk. eddie was a wreck each time, just so nervous because he thinks it's "hippy california ways" to give birth at home and is against it, but she wants it so they compromise. he makes sure there's some medical person there to help, not just the doula because it makes him feel better.
I think she'd do the classic 90's all white maternity shoot. probably a naked one for eddie too bc he loves her like this, thinks she's sexy anytime but she'd also just like to document her body when she was pregnant with her babies.
farrah throws her a baby shower each time in malibu, and it's always with the theme of the babies birth flowers (they miscalculated with the twins since they came early-ish lol). eddie always gets the flowers pressed and preserved for her. it's very bright and pretty and classic... then there's corroded coffin in their black and leather lol. and she really wouldn't have it any other way because that's authentically eddie.
the nursery's are always very personal and classic, but baby nurseries. she wants bright colors and pretty things, child things that aren't tacky but aren't dull (no beige toy babies sorry).
eddie always has a rocking chair, but like one of those comfy ones, because he's very serious about skin to skin time. he likes to rock the babies to sleep in it, most of the time falling asleep with them on his chest.
I think for the first few months, they'd keep a bassinet in the room with them for the baby to sleep in bc it's easier and they're both a little scared.
the hospital outfit is always the same for every girl, a tiny white gown with pink frills that nepo baby actually wore coming home that her mother gave her. she at least gets a picture for her mom, and saves it.
I'm thinking of doing a full pregnancy fic (no smut or very minimal, it's not the center focus lol) of rockstar!eddie and nepo baby, but which pregnancy would you like to see???

Our Family | Chapter 8
Pairing : Idol!Jaehyun x makeup artist!Reader
Genre : angst
Warnings : mention of cheating
Wordcount : 1.5k
taglist : @thejeongjaehyun @mooneaj @xxxx-23nct @chitaphrrrr
[series masterlist] // [previous] [next]
~
It's been a week since Jaehyun’s sudden attitude changed, his wording changed and he has not replying to your messages. As the same he barely comes home or comes home late. You stopped asking him why he did not come home and stopped waiting for him every night.
It’s the 14th week of your pregnancy, your little baby bump has now started to be a little bit visible on your belly. You started applying argan oil on your belly and you joined a prenatal yoga class. Prenatal yoga helps you with a lot of constipation, back pain, bloating, swelling and fatigue and make some new friends during the prenatal yoga.
2 more weeks and you can know the gender of the baby. You are excited to know if it’s a boy or a girl, but you don’t know if Jaehyun is as excited as you or not. Maybe he’s not.
~
Today Jaehyun comes back earlier than usual he will (he mostly come back midnight), you are on your phone calling Yeri since she’s afraid you're going to think a lot lately, so she'll call you when she's free. You are tidying clothes in the wardrobe in you and Jaehyun’s shared bedroom.
“Ya, Its Hana unnie second child already. She taught me a lot about how to take care of a baby, how to pump breast milk in an easier way and a lot a lot although I’m just on my 14th week pregnancy, she’s pretty nice.” You talked to Yeri.
“Then that’s great, at least you have someone talking about ‘baby’ with you.” Yeri said.
“Yeah that’s great.” You said then you heard the room door opening. ‘Jaehyun came back home at this time?’ You thought that it was abnormal for him to come back at this time but you did not talk to him and he just went straight to the bathroom.
“Jaehyun is back. I’ll talk to you later.” You tell Yeri. “Ok Bye, remember I love you as always. Be a happy mum everyday!” Yeri said then laughed. “Thank you, I’ll always be.” You said.
Your phone is running out of battery so you walk to your bedside table and get a power bank but something caught your attention, Jaehyun’s phone. His phone keeps on blinking, someone is spamming messages. You are curious, you wanted to check if he was really cheating on you so you took his phone but those messages caught your attention.
Ju Won [13:31pm] : Will you come to my place?
Ju Won [13:31pm] : I’ll let you do whatever you want 💦🍆
Ju Won [13:31pm] : I’ll wait for you at my place
There’s more but you feel disgusted to continue seeing the messages. Now, you are sure Jaehyun is having an affair. You are just in the 14th week of pregnancy and Jaehyun is eager for another girl.
You wanted to cry. You are lost, so lost. You don’t know if you should ask him face to face or pretend you have never seen their disgusting conversations. But you choose to escape from believing that he had an affair in your 14th week of pregnancy.
But Jaehyun came out from bathroom, saw you sitting on the bed, spacing out.
“What happened?” He asked, drying his damp hair with a towel.
“Nothing.” You said then walking out of the bedroom, you don’t want him to see your watery eyes.
But he reached out to hold your wrist, “ What happened, you can always tell me.” Jaehyun said. ‘Tell him? Tell him what? Tell him you just found out he had an affair?’ You thought.
You shook your head and sneered. You let go your wrist from his hand.
“(Y/N) what happened.” His voice increased a little.
“No, nothing happened.” You said.
“I've told you many times, I'm busy with our comeback, stop being so childish and immature. I’m tired as well not only you!” Jaehyun yelled at you. It’s the first time he yelled at you since you two started dating.
“Yeah I’m being childish, I’m sorry I’m immature.” You said and left the house. You had no where to go except for you and Jaehyun’s house, so you went to Han Gang. You see a sweet couple cuddling with each other, it reminds you of you and Jaehyun when the two of you just started dating.
You two started dating secretly, You and Jaehyun will be going to Han Gang whenever he has no practice, no comeback and no schedule.
He often surprises you with flowers, cakes, presents or any other stuff and every day you spend together is like a couple who just started dating a few days ago.
Jaehyun was a really sweet boy back then but now you don’t know if he is still the boy you knew 4 years ago.
You go back home a while later and you sleep in the guest room. You don’t know if Jaehyun stayed the night at you and Jaehyun’s house or if he spent it at ‘others’ house. That night you thought about a lot, what did you do to make Jaehyun have an affair? Will he divorce you? What about your baby? You thought about it a lot until you didn’t notice you had fallen asleep.
~
Today you are having your 15th week pregnancy check up, you are able to know the gender of your baby already. This time you go by yourself, you don’t know if Jaehyun remembers it’s your 15th week pregnancy or not but he did not take the initiative.
“Hi Mrs Jeong, nice to see you again. How do you feel?” Dr Kim asked.
“I’m doing great, thank you.” You said and smiled.
“You are able to know the baby’s gender today, are you excited?” Dr Kim asked.
“Yeah, I’m pretty excited.” You said and smiled.
“Ok, please lay down on the bed.” Dr Kim said and pointing towards the bed.
“Your husband did not come today? Do you want to wait for him to reveal the baby’s gender?” Dr Kim asked.
“Nevermind, I’ll tell him. He’s busy.” You said and smiled, feeling heart breaking. You pulled your shirt up to your chest and Dr Kim applied some EcoVue to the device then started scanning your bump through the device.
“Your baby is very healthy.” Dr Kim said. You smile widely as long as your baby is healthy, you’ll be happy.
“So should I reveal your baby’s gender already?” Dr Kim asked again.
“Yeah sure please.” You said and smiled. Dr.Kim tells you the gender and show you your baby through the device
“Here you can see it? These are the baby’s little feet, see?” Dr Kim said and pointed them out to you.
“Yes, I saw it.” You are very happy and you cried.
“Ok, that’s all for today.” Dr Kim gave you some tissues and gave you the ultrasound picture she had just printed out.
“Thank you.” You got the ultrasound from Dr Kim then left the room.
You are looking at the baby's ultrasound picture all the way back home. You caress your bump, your baby is inside of you.
You are back home after your check up but you see Jaehyun is packing his stuff.
“We are going to Gyeonggi-Do to film NCT Life. I won’t be home for 4 days.” Jaehyun said. You nodded and went into the bathroom. ‘He had forgotten the check-up today’. You thought and showered yourself under the shower head and you cried.
Jaehyun was ready to go out but he heard your cries, he went back to the bedroom. When you came out of the bedroom, you saw Jaehyun sitting on the bed. “Haven’t you gone out?” You asked him but he asked, “Are you crying?” You quickly wiped off the tear drop on your cheek and shook your head.
But he walked toward you and said “What’s going with you recently.” He frowned. “I told you I’m busy-“ “Did you cheat on me?” You couldn’t stand anymore, you had to talk to him.
“What?” Jaehyun frowned. “Did you cheat on me? With Juwon?” You asked, tears escaping from your eyes. “Did you check my phone?” Jaehyun said. “Yes, I did so what!” You screamed. “Do you still remember I had an ultrasound check up today?” You asked but Jaehyun didn’t respond. “See? You don’t even remember.” You started crying.
“It was you who talked bad about me.” Jaehyun said frustratedly. “I talked bad about you?” You frowned. “Juwon told me you marry me just because of my money!” Jaehyun yelled. You can’t trust what Jaehyun just said.
“So you trust her rather than me?” You asked and cried. “I don’t know.” Jaehyun shook his head and shrugged his shoulders. You are so disappointed, he trusts Juwon rather than you.
“Ok I get it, then I’ll leave.” You said and packed your stuff. “You really married me just because of my money?” Jaehyun asked. You didn’t answer and continued packing your stuff. Jaehyun stopped you by holding your wrist, “answer me!” He yelled. You don’t want to hurt yourself anymore so you just answer him, “whatever you think it is, I’m leaving, leaving you.” You cried and left the house.

stray kids when their s/o is pregnant with multiples—
written by: 🐝
genre: fluff
warnings: pregnancy, swearing
thank you to @mrsunshine999 for requesting this!!
+++
bang chan ♡
• chan’s so prepared to be a father!!
• he’s terrified, as most first time parents usually are, but he’s so so so SO excited to be having kids with you
• he’s even happier when he finds out you’re having twins
• “i want more 🥺🥺”
• “they haven’t even cOME OUT YET-“
• “could u squeeze out more babies please 🥺🥺🥺”
• chan is sosososo protective of you
• it’s really sweet actually
• he’s always touching you in some way, just wanting to make sure you and the babies nearby
• chan likes to touch ur bump
• like,, A LOT,,,
• if he could choose, he’d never let go ☺️☺️
• chan definitely spends a lot of his spare time thinking of names for ur kids
• unfortunately, neither of you can seem to agree on anything
• you both decide to wait until after the babies are born to come up with something
minho ♡
• okay so y’all are having triplets
• he’s thrilled
• get used to ridiculous name ideas tho,,
• “babe...”
• “yes, minnie?”
• “could we pleeeeaaase call the babies soonie, doongie and dori??”
• you: 😐😐😐
• minho: 👁👄👁
• “absolutely not”
• “bABE PLEASE-“
• much like chan, he’s fiercely protective of u
• if anyone so much as looks at u the wrong way, they’re getting a shoe thrown at their head
• and when ur babies are finally born he’s the same
• one of his cousins said the babies weren’t even that cute and i’m pretty sure he burst a blood vessel trying to suppress the urge to throw a table or smth 👀👀
changbin ♡
• not to roast him or anything but when the sonographer said y’all were having quadruplets he passed out,, in the middle of the sonography room,,,
• “can you check again??”
• “sir i’ve checked 1000 times, i’m certain-“
• “just chECK AGAIN-“
• once changbin got over the initial anxiety, he was over the moon about it
• “damn, is my sperm on steroids or smth??”
• “changbin pls 😭😭”
• he’s seriously caring tho
• he always makes sure you’re on time to your prenatal classes and doctors appointments
• and he’s all read up on the latest child rearing tips and tricks 😌😌😌
• but absolutely expect changbin to pop ur pregnancy ball from bouncing on it too hard
• (we all know changbin has a phat ass)
hyunjin ♡
• you were both really nervous about having triplets, but hyunjin more so than you
• mostly bc he felt so powerless
• you were carrying T H R E E babies when most people only have O N E
• so he promised himself that he’d be there for every moment of your pregnancy, holding your hand every step of the way just to make sure you never felt intimidated or alone
• 😭😭😭 don’t mind me 😭😭😭😭 just sobbing over hyunjin 😭😭😭😭😭
• he buys designer baby clothes all 👏the 👏time👏
• u try and tell him to slow down but he doesn’t listen
• “c’moooon, we’re having triplets! we’re gonna need lots of baby clothes!”
• “not designer baby clothes! they’re just gonna poop and puke all over them!”
• “idc, no child of mine will be dressing like some n00b”
jisung ♡
• ur pregnancy was quite a tough one
• you both knew it was likely gonna be that way, but that didn’t stop it from being any less difficult
• “these kids kick too damn much”
• “c’mon, it’s a good thing they’re kicking. it means they’re healthy and active.”
• “that’s not the issue, it’s that they’re kicking each other and i’m getting caught in the crossfire”
• “do you need me to have a word with them?”
• “sure?” 🤨🤨
• “hey, you two. quit fighting”
• *the babies continue to beat the crap out of each other, elliciting a groan from you”
• “don’t make me come in there! i’m your father and you will listen to me.”
• it didn’t help much but it’s the thought that counts
• (dad!jisung has me so soft 🐝)
• on a similar note, jisung ALWAYS knows how to lift ur mood when ur feeling particularly hormonal or sensitive
• whether it’s giving you a back massage and cuddles
• or just listening to you vent
• jisung tries his hardest to be a supportive presence bc having twins is a big deal and not everyone knows what ur going through
felix ♡
• being pregnant with triplets was an experience to say the absolute least
• ur pregnancy was so w e i r d
• strong!! pregnancy!!! cravings!!!!
• onion rings with strawberry jam 🤢🤢
• pickle juice and vanilla icecream 🤢🤢🤢
• apple slices and mustard 🤢🤢🤢🤢
• felix insists on cooking for u
• he’s so disgusted by ur food cravings, but pretends not to be bc ur so sensitive that any sort of criticism will have you bawling ur eyes out
• and if you start crying, so does felix
• and then everyone starts crying
• felix is sosososoSO gentle with u
• he’s very careful not to wake you in the night
• and he’ll help you put ur shoes on and get dressed when u get too big to do it on ur own
• which he loves 💕❤️
• looking after you is a big thing for felix, especially with three babies on the way
seungmin ♡
• he had this weird premonition/feeling/dream that y’all were gonna have a lot of kids
• but seungmin could NOT have comprehended that y’all were having quadruplets,,,
• he’s similar to changbin in that he was in a state of shock and disbelief when he found out (unsurprisingly) but it didn’t take long for him to get used to the idea of it
• bc quadruplet pregnancies tend to be shorter, he wanted to get all the important stuff out of the way first
• like putting together the nursery
• he enlisted the help of his group members bc there was just so much stuff to put together
• chan, hyunjin, minho and changbin got the most stuff done, whilst jisung, jeongin and felix sorta just fucked shit up
• you and seungmin sorta just watched from the sidelines like: 🤭😮
• making sure that you felt confident in yourself as a parent was really important to him
• which brings me to this cute fact: seungmin compliments and praises you ALL👏THE👏TIME👏
• “you’re so good at this!”
• “your bump looks so cute, i’m gonna rlly miss it”
• “our kids are rlly lucky to have u as their parent”
jeongin ♡
• jeongin couldn’t make it to the first scan because the weather was so awful and no bus would take him, so you went on your own and called him after to tell him the good news
• “we’re having TWO babies??? in one go???”
• “yes, innie, we’re having twins!!”
• “but I’M a baby!! can u really handle two more???”
• as much as you two both like to joke, ur pregnancy really matured him as a person
• jeongin was determined to be the best possible father for his children, no questions asked 😌😌
• so he read all the books.....
• and went to all the prenatal yoga classes.......
• and did all the things you’re supposed to do.......
• but, for jeongin, that didn’t quite feel like enough
• he only felt ready to be a parent when he spoke with his dad and grandpa, who both confided in him that they felt just as unprepared and inadequate as he did and that’s sorta just a part of being a parent
• fortunately, that gave him a lot more confidence
• and when your due date came, he handled everything so calm and confidently

Soul to Souls Master List
“Wait...what? Excuse me? Did you say ‘babies’? As in plural?” Anna looked from the doctor to Dean and back again with a look of shock on her face. Anna had seen the visions of their twins, but it still took her by surprise to discover it was actually happening, inside of her.
“Well, yes,” Dr. Ryan chuckled lightly. “Here we have Baby A on the left. And right here, we have Baby B, but if you look closer you can see Baby C nestled on the right. Baby B seems to be measuring smaller than it’s siblings, but I assure you that is completely normal for multiple births. Congratulations, Mom and Dad; you’re having triplets! But, they are not identical. I see three separate sacs. All that means is that your babies will be fraternal triplets.” She moved the wand again and they could hear the second heartbeat, followed by the third.
Anna turned her face towards Dean and saw a single tear fall from his eye. He stood up from his chair and grabbed her face firmly with both hands kissing her full on the mouth right in front of the doctor. “I love you, Red,” he whispered against her lips.
“I love you, too, Dean,” she echoed. What about the vision I saw? I only saw two babies, not three. What does this mean? She quickly threw up a silent prayer to God, hoping He would answer this time.
“Okay, you two. I am showing gestation at seven weeks and 3 days. Does that sound about right? That gives us a due date of May 3. Spring babies!” Dr. Ryan proclaimed as she wheeled the machine away. “I am going to let you two have a few minutes. Get cleaned up and dressed and the nurse will be back with some information for you to take home.” She patted Dean gently on the back as she left the room.
Anna reached for the towel to start cleaning the gel from her belly, but Dean beat her to it. For a rough and tumble hunter, she already knew him to be surprisingly tender and gentle. He reached for her clothes as Anna removed the robe, turning to place it back on the table. She quickly put on her underpants and jeans and grabbed her shirt, pulling it over her head. She felt Dean’s arms wrap around her from behind, and he placed his hands over her belly.
“You are gonna be an amazing mom, Red. I can’t wait to see you growing with our babies, and I can’t wait to meet them. They are going to be so in love with you, just like I am. ” Dean sniffed, placing his chin on her shoulder.
Turning in his arms, she saw his eyes well up. “Babe, please don’t cry.”
“You know, my entire life, I’ve only experienced pain, and loss, and then you came along. I think these are the first happy tears I’ve ever cried,” he admitted. “I’m the luckiest man in the whole world.
“Dean, I’m already the luckiest girl in the whole world. I have you. Now we have three babies on the way. It couldn’t get any better than this.” She leaned her head into his and they just stood there in their own little world until the knock at the door brought them back.
A few weeks after that first appointment, Dean made the decision to give up hunting, and only provide research and support for other hunters now. He had started picking up shifts at the garage in town so he could be home for Annaleigh during the pregnancy, and their children once they were born. The decision had all but solidified for Dean the minute she took the first test back in Sioux Falls.
Dean had always had overprotective tendencies when it came to his family, especially his brother, but now he had gone all mother hen on his girlfriend. He made sure she ate right, took all her vitamins, and he even enrolled her in a prenatal yoga class.
With Dean being home every night, they fell into a very domestic routine. They were always cooking and cleaning, and the sex couldn’t have been more amazing. Annaleigh was exhausted most of the time, but the doctor said that was normal.
A few weeks later, Dean left for the garage earlier than usual. Anna took her time getting out of bed and ready, throwing on a pair of light blue leggings and a navy sweater, quickly coming to the realization that carrying triplets meant her figure was growing faster than she could have imagined and nothing really fit anymore. She really needed to get some maternity clothes, sooner rather than later.
Anna was walking to her studio for her first appointment of the day with Alyssa, who had pulled a few muscles in her back during some...extracurricular activity. Since she was a close friend, Anna didn’t mind opening a little earlier for her. Alyssa was just getting out of her car as Anna unlocked the door. Anna set her keys down and was suddenly overtaken with an excruciating pain that felt as if she were being split in half.
She dropped to her knees in the small kitchenette just as Alyssa walked through the open door. “Annaleigh?! What happened?” She was on her knees next to her in an instant.
“I don’t know...a cramp, maybe?” Anna whimpered as another one ran through her middle. She rolled to her side and clutched her abdomen and heard Alyssa gasp.
“Anna, don’t move okay? I am calling for an ambulance, then I am calling Dean.” Alyssa’s voice was shaking and Anna knew there was something terribly wrong; she could feel it.
“Alyssa, what aren’t you telling me?” Anna asked, fear now evident in her voice.
“Honey, you’re bleeding.” Alyssa was crying as she placed the calls, holding tight to her friend’s hand.
Doctor Ryan was all the things a good physician should be in a situation such as this; she was kind and empathetic, but Anna could tell immediately it was not going to be good news as her doctor walked into the hospital room. Dean was seated next to her on the bed, and she reached for his hand the minute they saw her face.
“Annaleigh, Dean, I am so sorry; one of your fetuses has spontaneously aborted,” Doctor Ryan began with a tear in her eye.
“Doc, what does that mean?” Dean practically whispered, squeezing Annaleigh’s hand.
“It means that one of your babies has died. At your first ultrasound, I mentioned that one of the babies was smaller than the other two. They were growing much faster and Baby B just didn’t have enough room to grow and thrive. I know it doesn’t help, but that can happen with multiples. I am so sorry, I should have warned you of the possibility.
“In spite of your loss, the other two are doing extremely well, maybe even because of it. That being said, I am putting you on bed rest for a couple of weeks as a precaution and have you come back then for a follow up,” she explained before apologizing once more. She slipped out of the room, giving the grieving parents time alone.
Annaleigh felt Dean’s grip tighten on her hand, and she could feel his eyes on her. She lifted her head and met his eyes, tears falling freely. Anna released his hand and reached out for him with both arms, scooting over in the small bed. Dean’s large frame dwarfed hers as they clung to each other, grieving the loss of a child they hadn’t even known, but couldn’t have loved any less.
Carding her hand through his hair, she felt him rubbing small circles on her swollen middle as sobs left him. They comforted one another the best they could through their own pain. Thinking back to the visions she had seen, the loss of this child explained why Anna only saw two babies. Perhaps Dr. Ryan was right; maybe the loss of one child meant the survival of the other two.
Annaleigh was released from the hospital a couple of hours later with strict instructions to take it easy for the next two weeks until her follow up appointment. No working, no lifting, no chores of any kind. If she thought Dean couldn’t get more overprotective, she was terribly mistaken.
After they returned home and Anna fell asleep on the couch, Dean went to the grocery store. With a full refrigerator and cupboards, he meal prepped for the entire week while she slept. Less time in the kitchen meant more time with her after work.
He made arrangements for all her friends to come check on her throughout the day so that she never needed to be alone. While she was grateful for her friends coming by regularly, even if it was at Dean’s insistence, there came a point when she just wanted to be alone. Everyone had a breaking point and by the end of the first week, Annaleigh hit hers.
“Stop!” The shout pierced the otherwise peaceful evening Dean had planned.
Wide eyed and slightly taken aback, Dean gaped at her.
“Dean, I’m sorry. I love you and I appreciate you taking care of me, but stop,” Anna sighed heavily, tears filling her brilliant blue eyes. “I cannot take any more of your smothering!”
“Red, I’m sor-.”
“Don’t be sorry. Just stop. I’m not cold, I’m not hungry. I’m not a child and I don’t need babysitting! All I want is to be alone! Stop scheduling my friends to spend time with me, they have lives and jobs, and don’t need to be here all fucking day!”
“I’m just trying to take care of you the best I know how,” Dean stiffened, his voice cracking. He stood from the couch and headed for the stairs.
“Where are you going?” she demanded.
“You said you wanted to be alone, so I’m honoring your request and going to bed, in the guest room, so you can have some space from me,” Dean sniffed, not even turning to face her.
“Dean, baby, stop please and look at me,” she pleaded, urging him to turn around.
Steeling himself against the flood of emotions coming from both of them, Dean slowly turned to face her, wiping a hand down his face in an effort to clear the tears that he had shed in his failure to make her feel safe.
“I’m sorry for being ungrateful, please come sit with me,” she started. Once he returned to the sofa, she snuggled up to him. “I’m sorry I yelled at you. I’m feeling frustrated because I can’t do anything, and I just need to be by myself sometimes. That doesn’t mean I don’t want to be with you, but I need you to stop with all your worrying, and just be with me.”
“Red, I am here with you whenever I’m not working,” Dean argued, failing to see her point, when her face fell.
“No, Dean. Not just present, not taking care of me, but here with me. I’m not the only one that went through a loss, is going through a loss. We haven’t had the time to ourselves to grieve the loss of one of our babies, but I don’t want to do it alone, I want us to do it together,” Anna cried softly into his shirt.
Knowing she was right is what hurt the most. Dean shifted his body, pulling her into his arms, and, for the first time since they left the hospital, the two of them found solace in each other and grieved for the child they would never meet.
Two weeks later, Dean and Anna sat in Dr. Ryan’s office, listening intently as the doctor talked. Everything was looking normal and both babies were growing. Doctor Ryan, pleased with the test results, lifted the bed rest, but left some restrictions in place. Anna was instructed to cut back her hours at work and the doctor wanted to see her every two weeks instead of monthly, which would be typical for a single pregnancy.
Dean honored her wishes to be alone during the day, for the most part. He had stopped asking her friends to come over while he was at work; instead, Dean came home every day for lunch, and cut back on his own hours. He only worked every other Saturday now, and instead of hovering, he just spent time with her.
“Dean?” Anna murmured as they laid in bed one night a few weeks later, not having really discussed it since the night she blew up. “It’s okay, Baby. We are going to be okay.”
“I know, Honey. It’s just a lot to process. First, you tell me you had a vision of twin sons, then we find out it’s three, then th-this, and I can’t help but feel that maybe it really isn’t in the cards for us. What if the doctor is wrong? What if your visions aren’t real?” Dean’s voice was cracking, and she knew he was trying to keep it together for her. She pulled him closer to her.
“I don’t know either. But, I do know that we can get through it, together. Just...you have to talk to me, Dean. I know this put a lot on you, feeling like you have to take care of me all the time, but please don’t bottle it up like you have done your entire life, okay? Promise me that if you need to talk to me, you will. We are in this together, and I am not going anywhere. God has told me His plan for us and I have to have faith in that, just like I have faith in you, in us,” Annaleigh promised him as they held each other close.
Pretty soon it was Christmas and Anna could barely see her feet, even though she was only a little over halfway through her pregnancy. This, of course, made sex more challenging than it had been in the first few months, but with the hormones raging inside her, she was not going to let that stop them. Since Doctor Ryan had lifted her bed rest, she assured them intercourse would be fine, but cautioned them to be careful. Since then, they had pretty much stuck to the basics, but with Dean, even vanilla was incredible.
Anna had only one client one late December day, and it gave her plenty of time to contemplate what she was going to do for Dean when he got home from work. Or rather, what she was going to do to him. As soon as she was done for the day, she closed up shop and headed back to the house, feeling excited and already highly aroused.
She had recently been shopping online for sexy lingerie that didn’t leave her feeling fat. She was surprised to find several styles online that would accommodate her ever changing figure that were also incredibly sexy. The best part was they were delivered the day before. Dean was going to lose it and she couldn’t wait, feeling her panties getting wet just thinking about it.
She ran a nice warm bath with the lemon bubbles that Dean loved. She scrubbed, shaved, and lotioned from head to toe to make sure every inch was kissably soft. She left all the lights off on the main floor, leaving only a couple of candles and the fireplace to light the space. Anna placed a few beers in an ice bucket for Dean on the coffee table while she opted for sparkling water.
As she lay propped up on the couch cushions, trying to make herself comfortable and still look sexy, she looked around, pleased with the ambience of the room and dripping with anticipation for Dean to return home. She didn’t know how much longer she could wait before she took care of her own needs. Just a little bit longer. She was rewarded for her patience when she heard the rumble of the Impala just a few minutes later.
“Honey, I’m home,” Dean called out as he walked in the door.
“I’m on the couch, Babe,” she greeted him.
She could not see the kitchen door where she was, but she heard him drop his boots. The moment he hit the archway leading to the living room, she practically heard his jaw hit the floor. He let out a low growl as he slowly stalked toward her on the couch.
“My God, Red,” he whistled in appreciation. “You look so fucking sexy.” He reached down and grabbed her hands, pulling her upright so she was sitting, facing him as he dropped to his knees on the floor in front of her. His long fingers traced the peek-a-boo cups of the delicate lace on the black and sapphire blue babydoll negligee.
He placed one hand on each knee and gently spread her legs open, a low moan rumbling from his chest. “Crotchless panties? You naughty girl. Someone’s in a mood.” He wrapped his hands behind her knees and pulled them so her ass was on the edge of the couch, keeping her legs spread for him. Leaning down, he trailed his nose from her ample breasts, down to her navel, peppering her rounded belly with kisses. Dean stopped at the waistband of her barely there panties, inhaling her scent. “Smell so fucking good, Red.” He ran two long calloused fingers over her dripping folds without interference from the fabric.
Anna moaned as he traced her wet folds, opening even wider for him. “Dean.”
“You are soaked, Red. Is this all for me?” He leered at her, his eyes dark with want as he brought his fingers to his lips, licking her slick from them.
“This is always for you. Only for you. Because of you,” she murmured.
He licked one stripe up her center with the flat of his tongue, stopping just short of where she needed him. He continued this torture for minutes. She couldn’t take any more teasing and grabbed him by the head to lead his face to the sweet bundle of nerves that had been throbbing with desire for him all day. It did not take long for him to take over and dive in, taking her clit between his luscious lips and sucking until she lost it, free falling into the abyss of her orgasm. A string of filth fell out of her mouth followed by his name.
“You are the sexiest thing ever, you know that?” he panted against her skin as his lips sought out every inch from her center to her swollen breasts up to her neck. “I can’t get enough of you. There will never be enough of you, Annaleigh.”
He quickly shrugged off his clothes, letting his thick, hard cock spring free from its constraints. He eased his way back up her body, paying special attention to her overly sensitive breasts and nipples. He freed them from the lace cups, taking the firm nubs between the thumb and forefinger of each hand and rolling them just enough to set free a new flood of arousal down her thighs. The wanton moans escaping her mouth spurred Dean on and he took one in his mouth, running his tongue over it expertly with the just the right amount of pressure and suction. He was the only man who was able to make her cum from this alone and she did, as if on command.
“Damn, Red. You cumming with just some nipple play is fucking hot,” he moaned into her mouth before he continued kissing her.
“Babe, I just need to feel you inside me, so you better fuck me now before I do it myself,” Anna moaned, coming down from her second high.
“As much as I’d love to see that, I gotta feel that tight pussy, Red,” Dean groaned, stroking his length as he helped her up.
Although her belly was not too big yet, it still had became difficult for Dean to fuck her into the mattress or couch like he used to. Together, they had discovered a few new positions that they felt would work well for them. Dean held her hand as she turned around so that she was facing the back of the couch, with one leg on the armrest. He placed one foot on the couch and entered her from behind, agonizingly slow. He set a slow pace with his thrusting, heeding the advice of the doctor, and avoiding deep penetration.
Although his movements remained shallow, he picked up the pace as she held onto the back of the sofa. Anna could feel her third orgasm building again from deep within her core. “Faster, Dean, faster,” she pleaded with him. “Oh, Baby, you fill me up so good. Your cock feels so good, Dean,” she moaned.
“Cum with me, Red. I’m so close, I want to feel you cum so hard around me,” Dean grunted in her ear. As if she wasn’t sexy enough, hearing her get filthy turned him on even more. He pulled her up until her back was flush with his chest and lowered her leg, pushing them together. He could move faster, but it would prevent him from going too deep.
Anna reached down to her swollen clit, craving the additional friction. She threw her head back, meeting Dean’s strong shoulder. He reached around and covered her hand with his, helping her cross the finish line just before he did.
They collapsed, exhausted side by side on the couch, trying to regain control. “You are amazing, Dean. I love you so much,” Annaleigh confessed to him as she cupped his cheek, and he closed his eyes, leaning into her touch.
“I am so lucky to have you, Red. I couldn’t love anyone more,” he confirmed. With that, they dozed off, lazily tucked into one another.
Just into her third trimester, Annaleigh had three months of pregnancy remaining. Doctor appointments were every other week for the last trimester, but this week’s visit included another ultrasound. She and Dean had discussed it and, initially, they decided to let the genders of their babies be a surprise, but after encountering too many disagreements when planning the nursery, they made the choice to find out. Neither of them cared, as long as both babies were healthy.
Dean had dropped her off at the clinic a few minutes early, saying he had to run to the shop, but would be back for the ultrasound. He had been acting really weird lately, but she figured it was nerves and his protective nature kicking in again. With the most recent snowfall, he wouldn’t let her drive herself anymore, so she sat in the lobby, reading and waiting.
After about thirty minutes, the nurse finally called her name. Just as she was getting up from her chair, Dean came rushing through the doors. “Hi, Honey. Sorry I’m late. There was an accident on Main,” he explained, following her back to the exam room, his hand on the small of her back.
Thankfully, she didn’t have to have an exam today, just the ultrasound. She lifted her shirt as Dr. Ryan rubbed the cold gel over her swollen middle.
“Mom and Dad, there is a note here that you want to find out the genders finally?” Doc asked.
They both nodded, holding hands as she worked the wand over Anna’s belly.
Dr. Ryan continued. “Okay. Here is Baby A, and it looks like we have a healthy baby boy! Let’s take a look at Baby C…”
Did you like it? The nicest thing you can do for a writer is reblog their work and tell them, and others, how much you like it!
Yeah, go ahead, yell at me. It’s okay; I can take it. And I deserve it.

anonymous asked: could you do pregnancy headcanons with orange cassidy or chuck taylor 🥺
As promised, here’s Pregnancy HCs with Chuck Taylor! Enjoy!
He wouldn’t know how to react at first
He’d leave for a few minutes once you tell him that you’re pregnant, saying that he was a bit overwhelmed with his emotions
When he came back, though, he’d bearhug you (as gently as possible ofc), apologizing for making you worry and immediately telling you how excited he was to be a dad
I feel like he exudes Big Himbo Energy™, and as a result, he’s gonna be super clueless a lot of the time
He’s gonna try his best to learn; he takes a bunch of parenting classes with you, and What To Expect When You’re Expecting is the only book he’s read cover-to-cover in months
But he’s still gonna be confused when you complain about how the smell of pizza makes you nauseous when you used to love it, or how your feet hurt even though you’d just woken up
Trent is there just as much as Chuck is; they’re both so confused, but they care for you and they’ll try to help when they can
Honestly, if you need anything productive done in terms of your pregnancy, you’d be better suited to ask Orange or even Sue; Best Friends are excellent hypemen, but they can barely make toast between the two of them without starting a kitchen fire
Speaking of which, Chuck hypes you so much!
When you do anything, he’s gonna tell you how incredible you are, whether that’s changing a diaper during a parenting class or just walking from the bedroom to the couch
He’s gonna fistfight anyone that dares to bother you
He knows that you’re emotionally sensitive, and the first time that MJF asks if you’re gaining weight or, God forbid, Brodie Lee tries to recruit you, it’s lights-out time for them
He went to one prenatal yoga class with you and he loved it more than you did; he made friends with the instructor, a nice lady named Brenda with four young boys and another baby girl on the way
He’s gonna make a list of every dietary restriction that the doctor recommends, and he’ll try to go along with them in support (although he might still fall off when you’re not around)
He’s not super openly emotional during the pregnancy, he tries to be a calming force for you, but he does cry the first time he hears the baby’s heartbeat because he realizes that he made a child with you. That the three of you are gonna be a family.
He proposes letting Orange and Trent fight it out for godfather rights. This is a bad idea, and you tell him no.
When you go into labor, he calls everyone in his contacts, and suddenly half the AEW roster is meeting you at the hospital
He fights through it, but he lowkey doesn’t want to be in the room before the anesthesia kicks in; the pain that you’re in breaks his heart
He passed out while you were delivering. He was mildly traumatized for a while after that experience; he didn’t know what to expect but that wasn’t it
He manages to get a picture of you holding your son for the first time, and it becomes his favorite photo of anything, ever
The joy on your face, the way that you look so beautiful as you meet the baby you’ve known for so long...it’s magical to him
He absolutely dotes on you and your son (who you name Gregory James because of-fucking-course that would happen); you have to beg him to sleep because he doesn’t want you worrying about anything
He wanted to fight the doctor that made a joke about giving you a “husband stitch” because he did his research like a good partner and he knows how badly that can fuck things up in the long run
He’s the sweetest, albeit dumbest, father to ever exist and you love him so much for it
#chuck taylor headcanons#chuck taylor hcs#chuck taylor headcanon#chuck taylor#he's such a cute little himbo

A Collection of Season 7 Oliver/Felicity Pregnancy Fics
Hey guys! So many of you enjoyed the S1-S6 canon-divergent pregnancy fic list that I decided to make a S7 pregnancy fics list as well - this time, the list contains canon missing/alternate scene fics, post-7x22 fics (pre-Crisis or completely canon divergent) and canon divergent fics.
Also... Yeah, I put it into alphabetical order (well... tried). It was a pain. I hate singing the alphabet song in my head because I’m an idiot who can’t remember the alphabet. ENJOY! If you have any other recs to add to the list, please let me know xx
A Moment of Grace - 4.2k - by juliesioux // Very short one shot of the hours that I think followed Felicity telling Oliver that she is pregnant. It is tender, sweet, sexy and told exclusively from Felicity's POV.I wonder just how nervous she must have been telling Oliver about it but this is all about how they communicate when words aren't necessary and when they are, how they are shared. [Post-7x15]
a once-in-a-lifetime love - 1.8k - by inlovewithimpossibility // Felicity squeals a little as he lifts her into his lap with the utmost care, nuzzling her neck before planting a few kisses there. “Oliver?” “I ordered you fries and a chocolate shake.” He tells her and Felicity grins, pulling back to grasp his face in her hands. [Extended 7x18 scene]

Don’t Dream It’s Over Chapter 19
Series Summary: Liam and Ali thought that their relationship was perfect, but their whole world came crashing down when Constantine called him back to Cordonia. Four years later they meet again at Liam’s bachelor party, determined to make things between them work even if it isn’t always easy.
In this AU, Liam and MC (Ali Moonessar) dated for a year in New York while Leo was still crown prince. They broke up when Constantine asked Liam to come back to Cordonia, but they meet again at Liam’s bachelor party before the social season. The story will contain flashbacks, which will be italicized, of their relationship and follow them as they try to navigate the season with Ali as a suitor. I’ve messed around with the timeline a bit so that it fits the story better. I’ve also added in a few OCs of my own.
Pairing: Liam x MC (Ali Moonessar), Platonic!Drake x MC
DISCLAIMER: I’ve changed up the timeline of the social season a bit to fit my story better. I’ve based it off of some research I did on the British Social Season. Some of the dialogue was taken directly from Book 1 of The Royal Romance but was changed a bit to fit my fic.
Also, I’ve never been pregnant so the small amount of information about pregnancy that I stated in this chapter was based purely on my research on the topic. I apologize if any of it it inaccurate.
TRIGGER WARNING: Mentions of a panic attack and abortion.

Catch Up: Masterlist, Costumes (Don’t Dream It’s Over One shot)
Ali’s shoulders relaxed under the warm spray of water, and she leaned her head against the shower wall, trying to focus on her breathing. It had been two days since she spoke to Maxwell and Bastien, and she had definitely noticed Charlie hanging around more since then. She was glad it was him and not some random member of the guard that she had never met, but it was still strange to know that she needed security.
She turned off the water and wrapped herself in a towel, before wandering back into her bedroom. Her brown eyes swept over the gold dress that she would be wearing tonight, and she bit her lip nervously in anticipation of what was to come.
Liam had decided that it would be nice to get everyone together for a dinner. He believed that it would be a good chance for all of the noble children to get acquainted with one another. They were the future leaders of the country, and he wanted them all to be on good terms. However, the dinner wasn’t the cause of Ali’s anxiety. Now that they were back at the palace, Liam had taken to spending nights with her again, and she knew that she needed to tell him everything tonight. She couldn’t put it off any longer. He deserved to know. Not to mention, it was dangerous to keep it from him with the looming threat of someone leaking it to the press hanging over her head.
Ali slipped on her dress and shoes, pausing for a moment to look at her reflection in the mirror. The small heart shaped pendant that Liam had given her the night of The Masquerade twinkled as it caught the light, and for some reason it was calming to her. Her eyes travelled down to her stomach, and she placed her hand on top of it. She had been researching pregnancy nonstop for the past few days, and she knew that she probably wasn’t going to be showing anytime soon. By her calculations she was only just barely two months along, and it was by sheer dumb luck that she even found out this early. But, knowing that there was a baby growing inside of her caused her heart to swell with happiness. That is until she remembered who the baby’s father was.
She dropped her hand, straightened her posture, and left to meet Maxwell.
“Hey! You’re early,” he said, opening his bedroom door.
He had expected to meet her right before they went downstairs the way he always did.
“Yeah, I wanted to make sure I was on time,” she said, awkwardly rocking back and forth on her feet.
Maxwell moved aside so she could come in, and she perched herself on the edge of his bed as she watched him tie his shoelaces. She glanced around his room, her eyes going wide at the book she saw on his nightstand.
“Are you reading a pregnancy book?” she asked with a smile as she grabbed it and began flipping through it.
“Yeah! I figured if I wanted to help you I would need to understand what your body is going through,” Maxwell said as he finished tying his shoe. “Not that I could ever fully understand what your body is going through. You know, with me not having a uterus and all.”
Ali smiled at Maxwell’s sweet words.
“That’s really nice of you, Max!”
“I’ve been brushing up on my prenatal yoga too! Not to toot my own horn, but I think I’ll be ready to start teaching classes any day now,” he said, with a smile as he shrugged on his jacket.
“Brushing up? As in you already had prior knowledge of it?” she asked with a playful smile, not really thinking anything of her words.
A blush rose up onto Maxwell’s face, and he sputtered for a moment.
“Pshhhh, what! No! Why would I know anything about prenatal yoga? You’re the only pregnant woman I’ve ever met before in my life. Like ever,” he said nervously.
“Um, okay,” Ali responded confusedly, “Thanks anyway. It’s really sweet of you. You’re gonna be a great uncle!”
“Not just a great uncle,” Maxwell said returning to his usual demeanor, “I’m going to be Maxwell Jr.’s favorite uncle!”
“Maxwell Jr.?” Ali questioned with a smile. “What if it’s a girl?”
“Maxine,” Maxwell responded immediately. He had obviously given the topic a great amount of thought.
Ali watched as he made his way around the room, grabbing his wallet and shoving some dirty clothes into a hamper before making his way back to stand in front of her.
“So, are you excited to tell him?” he asked.
Just like that, the previous fun that they had been having disappeared. She began to fidget nervously again.
“No, I think I’m going to throw up,” she said, running her hand up and down her arms, in attempts to calm herself down.
“Maybe that’s just morning sickness,” Maxwell responded.
“Trust me. It’s not.”
“I think he’ll be happy,” he said, trying to make her feel better.
Ali looked up into Maxwell’s eyes and saw genuine hope there. It almost made her feel bad for being so cynical. But then she remembered that Maxwell wasn’t the one carrying the future king’s illegitimate child.
“I guess we’ll see,” she said, wanting to just drop the topic. “So who’s going to be at this dinner?”
“All of the suitors, Ben, Bertrand, Drake, Tariq, me, and two other noblemen I don’t think you’ve met. Neville and Rashad,” Maxwell responded.
She had been briefly introduced to Tariq already, but neither of them had ever gone out of their way to speak to each other, and he had seemed rather dull if she was being honest.
“Is there anything I need to know about these other noblemen?” she asked, as they began to make their way down to the dining room.
“Well, Rashad is pretty laid back. His only issue is that he doesn’t mind spending time with Neville,” Maxwell continued.
“Wow, Neville’s that bad?”
“Just be prepared to hear him insult Drake for being a commoner all night.”
“But, I’m a commoner,” she said as they walked through the palace halls.
“Yes, but he can’t insult one of Liam’s suitors right in front of him.”
They lined up with some of the other guests outside of the dining room, and Ali quietly observed the two men that she hadn’t previously met.
“I better not have to sit next to the commoner,” said one of them as the dining room doors opened.
“I’ll take a guess and say that’s Neville,” Ali mumbled to Maxwell under her breath.
He nodded wordlessly, and they found their seats.
“Of course she’s seated right next to the prince,” Kiara said to Penelope in an undertone as Ali sat down.
She took a deep breath and psyched herself up for what was sure to be a long night as everyone took their seats as well.
“Thank you all for joining me this evening,” Liam began once they were all seated. “As we are the new generation of leaders I thought it would be nice for us to spend an evening getting to know each other.”
“I think that’s a wonderful idea, Liam. However, many of us are already acquainted with each other,” Olivia spoke from her place on Liam’s other side.
There was a brief pause in conversation as the first course was served, and everyone began eating.
“Well, it’s been some time since we’ve all been together like this, and I do believe there are a few new faces here as well,” Liam said with a quick glance in Ali’s direction. “Lady Alison, I believe this is your first time meeting Lord Neville and Rashad.”
“Yes, it is,” she said, placing a kind smile on her face. “It’s very nice to meet you both.”
“It’s nice to meet you as well, my lady,” Rashad responded politely.
“Rashad spends most of his time on business trips. He’s often away from Cordonia for long periods of time,” Liam explained.
“I do enjoy my travelling, but Cordonia is my home,” Rashad elaborated.
“I completely understand. You can build a new home anywhere in the world, but there’s always a special attachment to the first,” Ali said.
“Exactly,” Rashad said, a small smile on his face.
“And where was your first home, Lady Alison?” Neville asked.
“I was born and raised in New York.”
“Oh,” he said.
“You seem surprised, Lord Neville,” she said, an amused smile on her face.
“It’s just that you look…” he trailed off, nodding in her direction as if that was supposed to make his point clearer.
“I’m sorry. How do I look?” she asked.
“Exotic,” he finished.
Ali had to stop herself from gagging.
“Yes, well my parents were first generation immigrants. They moved from the Caribbean to The States before I was born, so I was born and raised in New York,” she said, the displeasure evident in her voice.
“Good to see you’re as charming as ever, Neville,” Lizzie said sarcastically, causing the man to narrow his eyes at her.
Liam nudged her foot gently under the table, and when she looked over at him she could see him holding back a laugh. She narrowed her eyes at him and kicked him back harder, biting back her own smile. He let out a small cough to mask his laughter, but this did not go unnoticed by Olivia who was watching their interaction closely.
“Liam, it was so nice of you to set up this lovely dinner. Although, I have to admit I’m not completely sure why Drake’s here,” she said, smirking over at the other man.
“It’s because I’m a joy to be around, Olivia,” Drake shot back sarcastically.
“Yes, the man who never smiles is such a joy to be around,” the redhead responded.
“Drake has been a fixture at court since he was a child. He has also served as my trusted counsel more times than I can count. It seemed inappropriate to do this without him present,” Liam responded, ending the conversation with a hint of amusement in his own voice, obviously entertained by the interaction.
“I think Drake’s great!” Maxwell said happily from his spot on Ali’s other side.
“Yes, I’m sure Ali does too,” Madeleine mumbled as she brought her wine glass up to her lips.
Ali narrowed her eyes.
“I’m sorry I didn’t quite catch that,” she said, smiling sweetly.
Well, this night was going just about as well as she had assumed.
“I just said that I’m sure you agree with Maxwell’s sentiment. We all know that the two of you are quite fond of each other, but I was wondering when you planned on telling Prince Liam just how fond,” she said, a venomous smile on her lips.
“I’m sorry. I’m not sure what you’re referring to,” Ali said, bringing her own water glass to her lips and taking a sip of the cool liquid in attempts to calm the butterflies that had just erupted in her stomach.
“I’m referring to the fact that you’re pregnant with Drake Walker’s child,” Madeleine said, getting straight to the point and looking extremely proud of herself.
Ali, who had still been drinking her water, choked on the liquid and brought the glass back down to the table, attempting to clear her throat as several gasps were heard throughout the room. Maxwell patted her back in a way that was well meaning, but still unhelpful when you were choking on water.
“I’m sorry, but I’m still not sure what you’re referring to,” Ali said, her voice hard now and her shoulders tense.
“Oh, aren’t you?” Madeleine said, placing her phone on the table.
Ali and Drake’s voices filled the room from the speaker, and it felt like all the air had been sucked out of it as everyone heard their conversation from the first day of the Apple Blossom Festival.
“You’ve been avoiding me.”
“Yeah, I have.”
“You can’t ask me to get you a pregnancy test and then pretend like it didn’t happen.”
There was a momentary pause as neither of them spoke.
“Damn, what are you going to do?” he asked.
“I don’t know. I’m scared, Drake.”
“We’ll figure it out. I promise,” he said.
“I can’t have a baby! I’m still a baby!”
“Eh, I think you’re more of an angsty teen than you are a baby.”
“Sorry,” Drake said. “Look, I know you’re scared, but everything’s going to be okay. You’re not alone in this.”
Another moment of silence followed.
“You have to tell him,” he continued.
“I can’t. I don’t know how.”
The recording cut off after that point, but that didn't matter. It had already confirmed that she was pregnant.
Ali couldn’t breathe. Her initial reaction was to believe that this was all her fault. If she had just told Liam when she first found out then they wouldn’t be in this situation in the first place. He wouldn’t be finding out like this. The room seemed to be closing in on her. She was having a panic attack.
“Ali,” Liam said her name as he gently touched her arm.
He was sitting right next to her, but it sounded as if he were a million miles away. Kiara was muttering rapidly in French, and Olivia looked as if she had just been slapped in the face. She refused to even look at Bertrand. Then, a thought occurred to her.
“You didn’t hear the entire conversation,” she said, her voice hoarse as she tried to breathe normally.
“What?” Madeleine asked, the smile on her lips wavering the slightest bit.
“The entire conversation. That wasn’t the entire conversation,” she continued, trying to ignore the tightness in her chest.
“Y-yes, it was,” Madeleine responded, defensively.
“Actually, it wasn’t. You only heard what the person you had following us bothered to listen to,” Drake finally spoke up. “If you had heard the entire conversation you wouldn’t be making careless accusations.”
“What are you talking about?” Madeleine asked, her anger now evident.
“It’s not his baby, you idiot!” Olivia spoke up, quickly realizing what was going on.
Ali looked over to Liam for the first time since this conversation began. He hadn’t taken his eyes off of her the entire time, and his mouth was still hanging open in shock.
“I’m sorry you found out like this. I was going to tell you tonight,” she said, rising from her seat and walking to stand next to him.
Ali grabbed Liam’s hand and placed it on her stomach, still holding onto his wrist tightly. Liam was looking down at both of their hands intently. He didn’t speak for a few moments, but there were tears shining in his eyes when he looked back up to her.
“Are you sure?”
Ali nodded, and she was surprised at the large smile that crossed his face. Liam shot out of his seat and pulled her into his arms. He effortlessly lifted her off the floor and spun her in a circle. She wrapped her arms tightly around his neck in surprise and didn’t bother to stop the laugh that fell from her lips. In that moment they both forgot where they were. They forgot that they were in a room full of people, of women that were supposed to be vying for Liam’s hand in marriage.
“We’re going to be parents?” he asked, pressing his forehead to hers.
“Yeah, we are,” she said, gripping onto the lapels of his jacket tightly.
Happy tears were streaming down his face as he pressed kiss all over her face. His lips brushed against her forehead, her nose, her chin, and both of her cheeks before he finally pulled her into a sweet kiss. Both of them getting lost in each other.
“Well, this is awkward!” Lizzie said loudly, in attempts to draw them back to their current setting.
The two of them looked back over to the table to find a mixture of both shocked and confused expressions. Maxwell, Ben, and Lizzie were beaming at them excitedly. Olivia and Madeleine both looked furious but neither of them said anything, while Penelope and Kiara both looked upset, but resigned to the fact that they were never going to be chosen anyway.
Ali nervously glanced at Liam, but even though they were in an uncomfortable and unconventional situation, the man couldn’t keep the smile off of his face. He kept one hand on the small of her back, and she was interested to see how he would diffuse this situation.
“Prince Liam, Lady Alison, please come with me,” Bastien said, opening the dining room door and striding purposefully into the room.
Ali shot Liam another nervous look and followed Bastien out the room without a second thought, listening as Liam remained behind for a moment to address the dinner party.
“This wasn’t exactly what I had in mind when I told you to tell him,” Bastien mumbled to her under his breath.
“Yeah, it wasn’t what I had in mind either. But, at least we know who was following me,” she said back as Liam joined them.
“This is bad isn’t it?” Ali said, as he placed his hand on the small of her back.
“It is. But, I can’t seem to care right now,” Liam said, smiling down at her with love in his eyes.
“I’m sure your father will,” Bastien stated, breaking up their conversation and beginning to lead them up to Constantine’s office. “I already have someone up there explaining everything to him.”
They stopped outside of Constantine’s office just in time to see another member of the guard emerging from the room. The man looked shaken up, and he glanced nervously in their direction before continuing down the hall. Liam squeezed Ali’s hand reassuringly before entering the room with Bastien following behind them.
Constantine was leaning back in his office chair, his hand resting on the desk in front of him. The only light in the room was coming from a lit fireplace in the corner, and it was casting menacing shadows across his face. It almost made him look like a Disney villain.
“Please, sit down,” he said, gesturing to the chairs in front of the desk.
Liam pulled one of them out for her and allowed her to get situated before sitting down on a chair next to her. He rested a hand on her knee protectively and looked over at his father, an unreadable expression on both of their faces.
Ali was doing her best to refrain from showing her nervousness, but it was still obvious by the death grip she had on the wrist of Liam’s hand.
“So, it seems that the two of you have had an… eventful evening,” Constantine said, his voice filled with controlled anger.
She wasn’t sure what she was supposed to say. If he was looking for an apology he wasn’t going to get one. Her initial reaction was to blame herself, and she still did. She felt terrible for how Liam found out, but Madeleine was the one who had caused a scene.
“Yes, we have. I should be congratulating you. You’re going to be a grandfather,” Liam said, a smirk on his face.
Ali could tell he was trying to keep the mood light, but it seemed to have the opposite effect on the king.
“How long have you known?” Constantine asked, his gaze hard as he looked her over.
“A few days, sir,” she answered, her voice cracking slightly.
Her grip on Liam’s wrist tightened even further, and he reached over to place his other hand on top of hers, gently rubbing circles on her skin.
“And how long did you plan on keeping this information to yourself?” he asked, grabbing a bottle of bourbon from the side of his desk and refilling the glass next to it.
Liam’s eyes narrowed at his father’s accusatory tone, but he said nothing, his jaw clenched tightly shut.
“I was going to tell Liam after dinner tonight. I didn’t know that Madeleine knew or that she was planning to announce it,” she responded, her voice quiet but stronger this time.
Constantine looked at her appraisingly as he sipped from his glass.
“You were reckless,” he said, turning in his seat to meet Liam’s eye.
He laughed humorlessly before continuing.
“Leo has been reckless since the day he was born. He’s caused countless scandals that we’ve all had to help cover up and do damage control for, but never once has he gotten anyone pregnant!”
“That we know of,” Ali mumbled sarcastically under her breath.
She saw Bastien hold back a smirk at her comment, but Constantine didn’t seem too pleased with it.
“Get out! Both of you, get out of my sight!” he yelled, motioning for Ali and Liam to head to the door. “Bastien, stay behind.”
The two of them didn’t need to be told twice. They both scrambled out of their seats like scolded children and were out of his office in a heartbeat. They stopped once the door had closed behind them, exchanging nervous looks.
“Maybe I shouldn’t have said that,” Ali whispered.
Liam broke out into a grin and went to pull her into his arms, when they heard Constantine’s voice through the door. She brought a finger up to her lips in a shushing motion and pressed her ear to the door, pulling him to do the same.
“You’ve known this for a week, and you still didn’t come to me with it?” Constantine questioned, the same controlled anger in his voice as when they had first entered the room.
“I’ve only found out for sure a few days ago, sir. I’ve already set Lady Alison up with a guard, and I’ve been keeping her safe since,” the other man responded.
“That’s not the point! I told you to come to me with anything you found out about her, anything that could stop her from becoming queen. But, you kept this information to yourself and now look at what’s happened!”
Ali’s jaw dropped at his words, and Liam had a similar reaction. However, his shock was quickly replaced with anger, and she was forced to grab onto his arm to keep him from storming back into the office.
“I’m sorry, sir. I believed that due to the… sensitivity of the situation, Alison should have had time to come to terms with things before it was brought to anyone’s attention,” Bastien responded.
They didn’t stick around for the rest of the conversation. Ali pulled Liam away from the door, and led him back to her room. She shut the door behind him and turned to look to him. They were truly alone together for the first time since he found out about the pregnancy, and she wasn’t sure what to do now. There was a mix of anger and sadness on his face, and she wasn’t sure which topic she should address first: the pregnancy or his father’s intention to keep them apart.
She opened her mouth and closed it a few times, trying to figure out what to say. She kept searching for an articulate and neat way to tell him everything that was going through her mind, but when she couldn’t she just let the words spill out of her mouth. She told him about the Drake and the pregnancy test, about how someone (apparently Madeleine) wanted to make the press believe that Drake was the father. She told him about the guilt she had been feeling for keeping the pregnancy from him and how sorry she was for not doing it sooner. She let out all of her fears about what was going to happen now that everyone knew, but reminded him that she loved him and wanted this baby more than anything in the world.
Liam listened intently as she rambled on. She was about to start talking about what Constantine said when Liam stopped her.
“That was a lot of information to get in thirty seconds,” he joked, pulling her down to lay on her bed beside him.
She cuddled into his side, her face burning with embarrassment.
“Are you mad?”
“About what?” he asked, furrowing his brows in confusion and running his hand up and down her back.
“That I’m pregnant. That I didn’t tell you sooner,” she said.
He sighed and pulled her closer into him.
“I understand why you needed some time, but I do wish I hadn’t come out the way that it did,” he said.
“I’m so sorry. I was so scared, and I wanted to tell you, but I just kept picturing the worst case scenario, and every time I decided to tell you I would remember that your father didn’t think I would be a good queen, and-” she began rambling once again, her words coming out in a nervous jumble before Liam quieted her.
“I know that it wasn’t your intention for this to happen. I’m more upset with the situation than I am with you. If I wasn’t crown prince, if we didn’t have to worry about the press or the people, if I was just a normal man, then we could be celebrating instead of worrying right now,” he said more to himself than to her. “I still can’t believe we’re going to be parents.”
His voice was more cheerful when he said this than it had been a moment ago.
“Are you okay with everything?” she asked.
“I should be the one asking you that,” Liam chuckled.
“Well, you just found out that you’re going to dad and that your dad is a snake, so I just figured you may need more comforting than me right now,” she tried to say nonchalantly, but the bitterness was still evident in her voice.
“I can’t believe he was looking for ways to discredit you,” Liam said, running his hand down his face.
“I’m just glad he never found anything. I’ve never been more thankful for my boring ass life,” she said with a laugh.
“Your life isn’t boring,” Liam said, leaning down to press a kiss to the top of her head.
“It was! Before I came here my time consisted of me going to work, class, and then going home to binge watch Criminal Minds,” she said, pulling herself out of his arms and sitting up. “But, look at me now. I moved to a different country, and got knocked up by the future king.”
Ali looked into Liam’s eyes and smiled softly as his hand came up to cup the side of her face.
“We’re really having a baby,” he murmured, sitting up and pulling her into a gentle kiss.
Ali sunk into his embrace, her body falling on top of his as he lay back on the bed once again. He kissed her softly, not willing to pull away from her until they were both desperate for air.
“I love you,” he mumbled, before flipping them over and moving down to lay his head against her stomach where he repeated the words once again.
Ali smiled and began running her fingers through his hair. Liam’s arms wrapped around her hips as she did this, and it was just a matter of minutes before he was lulled to sleep by her gentle touch and soft breathing.
Ali woke the next morning to find Liam sleeping soundly beside her. She was still in her dress from the previous night, but he had woken up at some point in the night and pulled her blankets over their bodies. She sat up in bed and raised her arms above her head, stretching her muscles. Two arms snaked around her waist, pulling her back into the bed. Liam rested his head against her shoulder and pressed a few soft kisses to the exposed skin of her neck as his hand lovingly caressed her stomach.
“Good morning, my love,” he mumbled sleepily against her skin.
Ali turned to rest on her side so she could face him.
“Good morning,” she said, tracing the stubble on his jaw with the tips of her fingers.
He turned his head and pressed a gentle kiss to her palm, opening his eyes fully for the first time that morning and taking in the expression of the woman lying next to him.
“You look upset,” he observed, his voice still gravelly from sleep.
“I’m not upset. Just a little anxious,” she admitted. “What do you think your father’s going to do?”
Liam sighed and pulled Ali into him. She buried her face into the crook of his neck and closed her eyes.
“I’m not sure,” he began, his mind already reeling with ideas of how to proceed from here. “By now the news has probably made its way around. He can’t deny the pregnancy because a room full of people heard it confirmed.”
“I still can’t believe you found out like that,” Ali groaned, pushing her body closer into his. “I always imagined telling the father of my child that I was pregnant in a cutesy way. Not by being outed at a formal dinner party.”
The sound of Liam’s laughter filled her ears, and she pulled herself up so that she could glare at him.
“It’s not funny!”
Liam tried to suppress chuckles and sat up next to her when he failed.
“I don’t know how we ended up here, but I wouldn’t trade it for the world,” he said, pressing a gentle kiss on her forehead when his laughter finally subsided.
A loud knock interrupted their moment and they exchanged looks of disdain.
“So, time to face this, huh?” she asked, getting up and trying to straighten the dress she had fallen asleep in.
“We’ll do it together,” Liam reassured her, getting to his feet and grabbing his jacket from where he had carelessly thrown it on the floor the night before.
Ali took a deep breath and opened her room door. A pair of blue eyes were looking back at her with sympathy.
“The queen wants to see you and the king wants to see Liam,” Charlie said, taking in their disheveled appearance.
“What are they trying to do by separating us?” she narrowed her eyes and looked back at Liam.
“I don’t know, but you should change before you meet with Regina,” he said, stepping forward and giving her a gentle kiss. “Don’t worry, I promise everything will be okay. And, don’t let her intimidate you.”
“That’s a lot easier said than done!” Ali called after his retreating frame.
“Everything will be okay!” he called back.
Ali looked over at Charlie incredulously, but the man simply shrugged in response. She rolled her eyes and let out a sigh.
“Give me a second to get changed.”
She dressed quickly, not wanting to keep the other woman waiting, but also not at all looking forward to their meeting. The fact that Constantine and Regina wanted to meet with them separately didn’t sit well with her. Why couldn’t they speak to them together?
“How bad do you think this is going to be?” she asked Charlie as he trailed alongside her on their way to meet the queen.
“I don’t know, but remember she can smell fear,” he joked in attempts to cheer her up.
Ali glared at him and he shrunk away from her gaze, shooting her a sheepish smile in apology.
“Okay, I can do this,” she said to herself, straightening her spine and knocking on the door to Regina’s study.
“Come in,” the queen called through the door.
“Good morning, ma’am,” Ali said as she entered the room .
“Lady Alison, please join me,” she said, motioning to the small sitting area of the room.
Ali awkwardly perched herself on the edge of the chair next to Regina’s.
“Tea?” the woman asked, already pouring hot tea into a small teacup and handing it to her.
Ali accepted the cup and took a small sip of the liquid. She had always been a coffee person and didn’t really care for tea, but she thought it would be inappropriate to refuse it.
“So, it seems that we have run into a spot of trouble,” Regina began, leaning back comfortably in her chair.
Ali mustered up a small smile, but remained silent.
“Of course, we can’t deny the rumors that have already begun to spread. Not when an entire dinner party heard it confirmed.”
“I’m sorry that happened. It was my intention to tell Liam in private, but Madeleine announced it before I had the chance to speak with him,” Ali said, bringing the teacup back to her lips again.
“Yes, well Madeleine’s actions were unfortunate for all of us,” Regina responded, a hint of anger in her voice.
Ali nervously glanced out the window, unsure who Regina was more angry with, her or Madeleine.
“But, that being said, we can still take care of this before it gets out of hand. So, how much?”
Ali furrowed her brows in confusion.
“I’m sorry, how much what?” she asked, placing the teacup back onto its saucer and putting it down on the small table in front of them.
“How much do you want to make our little problem go away,” Regina said casually.
Ali’s jaw dropped, and she made no attempt to regain her posture, her mind moving a million miles a minute.
“M-make our problem go away!” she said incredulously. “You mean to get rid of it?”
“Yes,” Regina replied calmly.
“Oh, my god!” she said, shooting out of her chair and pacing up and down in front of the queen. “I- I can’t believe… I don’t want money!”
She continued her meltdown, the queen relaxing in her chair, watching her reaction with a look of amusement. Ali felt sick to her stomach at the proposition. Even more so to the fact that Regina seemed to find her reaction entertaining.
“Come now, you can’t possibly believe that you and Liam are just going to have this child and live happily ever after can you? The fact that you’re carrying an illegitimate heir to the throne is bad enough, but that can still be remedied. However, Cordonia would be doomed if you became queen,” Regina said with a laugh.
Ali opened and closed her mouth repeatedly in a way that resembled a fish. She had no idea what to say to that.
“Yeah, cause I’m sure the people would just love the thought of me aborting Liam’s baby,” she finally said sarcastically.
“Oh, no, not an abortion. You lose the baby and run home to New York overcome with grief. Liam mourns for a day or two and then chooses another one of the suitors and moves on with his life,” Regina states, a feigned look of sympathy on her face.
Ali let out a humorless laugh and gripped the sides of her head in her hands.
“So you would just lie to everyone?”
“Yes.”
“Wow, you really have it all figured out, don’t you?”
“Yes.”
“Well, sorry, but that’s NOT going to happen,” she said, turning without another word and walking out the door.
She ran straight into the Charlie in the hallway, tears welling up in her eyes as the weight of Regina’s words fully came down on her.
“Where’s Liam?” she asked him through gritted teeth.
“I think he’s back in his office. I take it the meeting didn’t go well,” he said, looking over her red rimmed eyes.
She turned and walked into the direction of Liam’s office without another word, barely aware of the man trailing behind her. Already overcome with emotion, she threw his door open without even bothering to knock.
“You’re stepmother just offered to pay me off to have an abortion and leave the country!” she shrieked.
“What?” Liam asked, caught off guard because of her sudden appearance and not fully processing her words.
“I’ll make a terrible queen anyway, so you can just tell everyone that I lost the baby and decided to leave, and then you can just move on with your life!” she continued, beginning to pace the length of his office now instead.
“My love, please calm down,” Liam tried to say in a soothing voice.
However, this only served to agitate Ali even more.
“Don’t tell me to calm down!” she yelled hysterically. “I’ve never been more insulted or disgusted in my life! And that’s saying something considering I’ve spent the past three years as a waitress for drunk frat guys!”
“Bastien, Drake, please give us a minute,” Liam spoke into the corner of the room behind her.
Ali turned and noticed the two men standing there for the first time since she entered. They both looked extremely uncomfortable and wasted no time in heading to the door.
Liam’s heart broke as he looked back at the woman he loved. He had seen Ali upset on several occasions. He had seen her break down and have panic attacks. He knew what her bad depression days looked like, and he knew what she was like when she was feeling insecure. But, the man had never seen her look this distraught. There were tears streaming freely down her face, and her entire body was shaking.
“My love, look at me,” he said, walking over to her and taking her face into his hands. “That is not going to happen.”
He leaned down and pressed a gentle kiss on her forehead, keeping his mouth against her skin for a few moments longer, in attempts to calm her down. His thumbs unconsciously stroked her cheeks, wiping away her tears. Ali wrapped her hands around Liam’s wrists, desperate to keep him close to her after the things that Regina said. As they stood there, the sound of Ali’s sobs the only noise filling the room, neither of them knew what to say, only that they needed to be near each other.
After her breathing had finally returned to normal, Ali released Liam’s wrists. She was about to move away from him when he pulled her back into him, their chests pressed together and his forehead resting against hers.
“Marry me,” he whispered softly.

FMLS90 10/1- Tell us about your fitness journey so far
Growing up I did dance, cheer, and a little bit of gymnastics but I quit everything by the time I got to high school.
In high school I never worked out. I hated gym. In college I would randomly work out at school or on breaks at home at the gym (treadmill, elliptical, bike)
After college when I moved in with Dan, we joined the gym together and we would just do random cardio and weight machines together.
Once we got engaged is when I started to really get into exercise because I was trying to lose weight for the wedding (I did). I would workout 2 hours a day (the bike, Jillian Michaels DVD’s, Pilates on Netflix, wii exercise games). It worked (with calorie counting) but it was so unhealthy for me. Bad relationship with scale, working out so I could eat bad foods, crying when I gained a pound.
After I got pregnant with Gavin in 2014, I stopped running and did my fitness classes until I wasn’t comfortable (about 24 weeks) and just kept up the walking. I also did prenatal 1x a week almost the whole pregnancy. After he was born, I tried over and over and over again to start running but I ended up gaining so much weight after he was born that running became even harder. I would usually do intervals. I was at the gym too, just taking random classes (yoga, kickboxing, weight classes etc).
In 2016 I decided I wanted to do more yoga so I started doing it at home and loved it. Eventually I decided to do a beginner series at studio near me and I’ve been hooked ever since. I’ve mainly practiced vinyasa but I also like power and heated. I’ve done slow flow and restorative. I’ve done tons of workshops, master type classes, I tried kundalini, etc.
I did a couple kickboxing classes at a kickboxing studio near me and it’s so fun but I twisted my ankle and stopped going (and it was expensive!) I’ve done spin with my mom at her gym once in a while (I love spin! I just don’t have any studios near me).
After I got pregnant with Cecilia, I still practiced (prenatal and some vinyasa/slow flow) but I just couldn’t bring myself to do any other kind of exercise. Even walking was rough. I was exhausted. I averaged a yoga class 1-2x a week for the last 3 months. And now that she’s here, I’ve been slowly trying to get back to a consistent practice (3-4x a week). I tried running again (for the 900000th time) but it’s so hard for me to run with so much extra weight on me. So I think I’m done with running. I keep telling myself to get back into it... but why?? It doesn’t make me happy. And it hurts.
I’m not sure what else I want to do besides yoga. I miss that kickboxing studio. Part of me wants to splurge once I’m back at work and do that 1x a week or so. I have a treadmill so once the weather cools down I can use it to walk and not worry about dying of heat exhaustion in the sunroom. I’m trying to remember exercise should be fun and not a punishment!!

Welcome to Motherhood
THE TEST CAME BACK POSITIVE, NOW WHAT?
But, what if you're not ready? You don't know if you'll be a good Mom.. Breathe! Everything will be OK.
Whether planned or by complete surprise, I'm more than sure you are wondering what to do next.
Focus on the basics right now doing so will set the tone for the next 9-10 months with minimal stress.
Step 1. Schedule an appointment with your Primary car physician.
They will confirm the pregnancy and advise you on choosing specialists to help monitor your pregnancy. Some family practice doctors provide prenatal care and attend deliveries.
How will they confirm? Most PCP will confirm via urine and/or blood. Me personally I'd prefer urine but the reality is that sometimes urine will not suffice, be prepared for blood work. Make sure you are hydrated, drink at least 16oz of water prior to your appointment. Trust me, you will be glad you did.
Step 2. Take a trip to your local Vitamin Shop or GNC and stock up on Prenatal Vitamins!
Prenatal care starts in the womb, keep your energy levels high by taking nutritional supplements to supply you and baby with essential minerals needed as you both develop.
Pros:Reduce the risk of a whole array of conditions, from the annoying to the harmful, including:
Anemia
Fatigue
Leg and muscle cramps
Low immunity
Postpartum depression
Weakness
Low appetite
Skin irritation
Brain fog
Cons: Honestly there aren't many cons vitamins are necessary however you may experience heightened pregnancy side effects such as
• Nausea. To avoid this, opt for a chew able vitamin vs a huge pill. If you don't mind taking pills try taking your prenatal vitamin with food (and never on an empty stomach). It also helps to take them at night, so you are asleep when the nausea would potentially kick in.
• Constipation. You have the iron content to thank for this.
• A change in urine color or odor. B vitamins, in particular, may be the contributing factor, though these are harmless changes.
Recommendations:
Ritual-Essential Prenatal (vegan)
Natures Way- Alive
Honest CODHA Complete
Pink StorkTotal Prenatal Plus (vegetarian)
Step 3.Find an (OB-GYN) or a nurse-midwife.
Which is the best recommendation?
Such a difficult question to answer and so subjective.
But really the question is ‘what are you looking for in your doctor?’ since every OBGYN has their own approach. It is more like a matchmaking service when deciding who to choose. Research both to see which is best for you.
(Keep an eye out for a separate post going into further detail.)
Step 4. Get Business Savvy
Speak to your Insurance provider. These key questions will provide you with a better understanding of what to look forward to financially.
Does the policy cover prenatal care?
Do I need a referral to see a specialist/OBGYN from my primary care doctor? (more details in step 5)
Are labor/delivery costs included?
What are the co-pays, coinsurance, and deductible amounts?
Is prenatal testing covered (ultrasounds, amniocentesis, genetic tests)?
How long after delivery is my hospital stay covered?
Will I need pre-authorization to receive prenatal care?
What hospitals and doctor’s offices are within the preferred provider network?
Are non-traditional deliveries covered (midwife, home-birth, etc.)?
Are private rooms covered or will I have to share a room?
Step 5. Consider your health history.
If you suffer with any chronic illnesses such as diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, epilepsy or a previous antenatal complication that might require special care then it is wise to try and see an OBGYN who has a special interest in caring for high-risk pregnancies.
Some doctors will have a special interest in IVF pregnancies and twin births which is a growing field as more women than ever are having their first baby after age 35 and often with the help of an IVF clinic to conceive.
Step 6. Select a hospital or birthing center.
YOU ARE IN CONTROL!
Now that you have a better understanding of what your insurance covers
You can chose where to give birth whether it be in your home, at a hospital or at a birthing center.
Do your homework, know your options and create a birthing plan. Remember your baby will come when he or she is ready, they have a plan of their own. Learning to accept, adjust and advance will help you deal with the reality that plans are ever changing,
Your plan is simply a guide, you may experience road blocks, detours and at some point you may have to negate your original plan.
Obstacles are necessary most end up working out BEST case scenario. I say that to say, do not get discouraged! If your plan doesn't pan out exactly as you envisioned it. Remain open minded and prepared to adapt. This is where you begin to create your new balance. Everything will be just fine, you got this!
Step 7. Its all in your mind!
A happy, healthy baby is every mothers dream. Remaining stress free & in positive spirits is the key! A positive attitude starts with healthy mindset. Understand perfection does not exist however progression is what matters most.
Here's how you can stay in positive spirits:
Eating well: a balanced diet will benefit you and baby. ditch the junk food and opt for healthier options. There's an alternative for everything now a days so do not worry you can satisfy your cravings the healthy way.
Staying active: We all want to snap back to our pre-baby bodies, do not be afraid to work out during your pregnancy (unless advised otherwise by your doctor). You will be glad you did. Muscle memory is real and though you may not be able to see your toes at the moment remember it is only temporary.
Getting enough sleep: enjoy it while you can, because you will not get a full 8hours of sleep for at least the next 24 months. Do not feel guilty for taking that mid-day nap or sleeping in until 12pm you are creating life and beauty sleep is essential to maintaining that pregnancy glow.
Build your village: Its tough if you are the first friend in your group to become pregnant. Who will you talk Mom & Baby stuff with? Having support from friends and family is vital. If you lack in either department now is the time to be open to creating new Mom bonds. Check recommendations below.
Communicate with your Partner: Vocalize what you need from them during this time. You guys are entering this journey together and should provide support for one another. Make it a priority to attend appointments together.
Draw closer to your family & friends: Lean on them! Let them know you are entering a new phase of your life and will need as much support as you can get. Be open and inviting, allow your family & extended family to attend doctors appointments with you. Those you select will begin to bond with you your partner and baby on a more intimate level.
Take parenting classes: Enroll in prenatal yoga, and join meet up groups. You'll be surprised at the life long connections you'll make, not to mention you'll have a list of friends to confide in & eventually schedule play dates with. You can also invite friends and family to these classes/meet ups.

The Surprise
hacy fic for @theballetslippertheblackhoodie prompt: Harry finds out he’s going to be a father ......again.
Harry has had many bad days but this had to be one of the worst, maybe the the worst day of his second life. It had actually started last night though and the usually upbeat whitelighter didn’t let last night’s fumble try to ruin his day today, but oh no fate insisted his day be ruined.
First, last night his date with his Girlfriend, Macy was cancelled. She was running late from a science conference on the future of bioengineering and space and had grabbed something to eat at the conference center’s cafe. Then when she finally got home they at least tried to fit in some intimacy and Macy was too tired, again, to keep going, he let her fall asleep on his chest then slid out of bed and went to the bathroom for a cold shower.
Macy hadn’t been wanting to get intimate with him, sexually, for the past two weeks except once for one round of love making. When he gently asked her if everything was ok and if had done anything wrong she denied it and kissed him and told him how sweet he was. He was beginning to question if she wasn’t that into him anymore, if she only got with him on a whim and a year and 3 months into their relationship maybe her affection for him sizzled out. He shook his head under the cold water and tried not to let those thoughts intrude again. He’d do anything for Macy to be happy, but it hurt him to think it might mean to let her go if it would make her happy again.
Then today he had gone to work as usual, and was checking his twitter and was of course doing numbers with the academia side of twitter but spied a suspicious activity of tweets in his mentions. A faceless twitter troll had taken to attacking his person, calling him and women in general all sorts of unsavory names and slurs, while he blocked and reported the troll instead of engaging them, it made his blood boil when the troll especially said very tasteless and racist things about his Macy, when he tweeted an article done on her recently. You could insult him, but never insult women and never ever insult the woman he loves. He stormed to his office and set down his things with his research text making a slam. If his day couldn’t get any worse in walked in Professor Crollins, the head of the political science department to bother him. She was an older woman, in comparison to his physical 37 and her actual age of 53, and she apparently was very into Harry’s “vibe” as Maggie put it after she busted out laughing when he told her of the predicament. The situation of Crollin’s infatuation had began a few weeks ago when a benefactor and tenured professor of the school wanted both department heads to work together to form a joint class for next semester’s class options.
“Hello, Professor Greenwood. I came by to drop off another rubric for a possible project for next semester class. I can’t wait to teach it with you, I’m sure it’ll be an enriching experience for everyone involved.” she smiled.
Harry internally shuddered, it wasn’t well known outside his charges that he was in a committed relationship with the resident head of the science lab, Dr. Macy Vaughn. And even though it wasn’t public he had told Prof Crollins that he was not available to go out for drinks, ever, the last time she asked him to grab a drink with her.
“Actually Prof. Crollins I’m not going to be teaching that class, my TA Melanie Vera will be taking it. I offered her the position yesterday and the benefactor interviewed her.” He stated. Prof. Collins straightened and fixed him with a look.
“What is it with you and those Vera Girls, and the other one that’s their sister. You’re around them an awful lot, in fact don’t you live with them? I thought you had your own place?” she accused.
“Um, we’re family, of sorts.” he fidgeted. He tried to tone down his public appearances with the girls he could excuse Mel because of her work in the women’s studies department, but not with poor Maggie who got some weird looks when he escorted her around arm in arm to discuss demon and witch things. They started using the excuse that he was their “Uncle” of sorts from their dad’s side, except Macy who just would call him a close friend.
“Hmph, well if that’s how you want it.” she walked off in a huff, and Harry exhaled, now he was annoyed and upset by a twitter troll and a woman who couldn’t understand the word no.
After that his day was just full of little stupid things that just added on to his annoyance. His favorite tie got ruined when someone tripped into him with their Starbucks drink and even though he orbed home to change shirts the tie was completely stained. He got into a heated discussion with one of his headstrong students who he hated to refer to them as, but it was true, a pain in his arse. The student even annoyed Mel with how bold and one track minded they were. His lunch went poorly too as he couldn’t even leave his office because he was swamped with papers, his tea supply had ran out, which he cursed himself for not realizing it, and he’d forgotten his lunch. He had to eat some rubbish tasting crisp from the vending machine. Macy had barely texted him back all day. Now he was feeling really shitty....
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Macy was thinking of a way to tell Harry the big news, she was pregnant, and 6 weeks along. She had tested herself 2 or so weeks ago, and a test she did at the lab confirmed she was pregnant, with a baby, by Harry. She had been nervous for the past couple of weeks since finding out, unsure of how to tell Harry, but she decided to do it tonight in a casual way because she could feel Harry getting more upset with himself as the days passed, knowing Harry he probably was beating himself up about whatever he thought he did wrong, which he did nothing wrong.
The night their baby to be was conceived was a night Macy remembered and she knew exactly what day it was. Mother’s Day, she was sad as hell that day along with her sisters and after they all celebrated it together, in honor of Marisol(and Mama Roz) she sat in her room crying because while she braved it, it was a reminder that she didn’t really know her mother as well as her sisters. She released the pain that caused her to lose her mind to the Source 2 years ago but she still felt a human pain inside. Harry had found her and she had him take her surface pain away by replacing it with pleasure and comforted her with kisses and passion.
She actually had left work early and made her way out on a task of shopping at multiple stores. She picked up soft wool yarn & a guide on how to knit for beginners, color swatches, some premium tea(for Harry), a toddler’s sectioned plate(it was so cute she couldn’t resist snagging the last one), and a prenatal yoga book. She of course knew it was too early to be buying some things, she had hear fears about her own baby’s health but she decided to focus on positive things. Like her adding another member to the Vera-Vaughn-Greenwood family. She was so engrossed in shopping she didn’t noticed Harry had texted her a few times. When she made it back home, she texted Harry that she was off work a little early and she’d be at home if he wanted to see her. He texted back ‘Yes, Please.’
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Harry dragged himself to his feet when he was finally done with a pile of papers, and orbed himself to the Vera Manor.
“Macy?” he called out.
“I’m in the living room Harry, could you make some tea? I bought some premium stuff from that high end food shoppe today.” she called back.
“Sure, my love.” he sighed, he really wanted some tea to be honest. Harry walked to the kitchen and found a plate with children’s characters on it, from that Sesame Street show, he thought maybe at first it was a childhood plate of one of the girls, but it looked brand new, it had dividers in it, maybe they wanted it for meal prepping?
“Macy, why is there a plate in here with elmo on it, is this one of Maggie’s new meal prep things?” he asked confused.
“Its toddler’s plate silly, for toddlers to eat out of.” she replied.
Hm, whatever, he learned to stop questioning the girls quirky antics further long ago. He inhaled the fresh tea and it almost made his rubbish day disappear. Once he got into the living room to cuddle it would be better. He made his tea tray up, and grabbed some small bite sized cookies he found, pink and blue sugar cookies.
“Macy, I’ve been wanting to see you all day darling.” He gazed at her with love. “Erm, what are you doing?”
“Hm?” she looked up. Macy was currently sitting on the couch surrounded by a big pile of jumbo sized yellow and white wool yarn. “Oh I’m going to learn how to knit, and make a small blanket.” she answered. “Maybe some little shoes or a scarf afterwards.”
“Macy, a knitted pair of shoes aren’t practical unless your a baby, which those are more like socks. Socks are more practical.”
“I also got some color swatches, I wonder which one is a little more gender neutral, maybe this pastel mint green or pastel yellow?” she asked.
“Either one seems fine, dear.” he said preparing their tea.”What for?”
She hummed with a grin, and he sat down next to her and shot back up to see the rectangular object he just sat on. “What is this?”
“Oh I picked up a new book for exercise.”
“Oh” he responded, pouring a cup of tea for her before reading the title.
“Prenatal Yoga for First Time Mothers.” he read aloud. “I’ve heard it’s actually quite good for women in pregnancy to take up specialized Yoga, in fact I was discussing the other day-” Harry paused for a minute, blinked, and turned his head slowly to Macy who was stirring some sugar in her tea. “Macy dear.... why did you buy a book of yoga for pregnant women?”
Macy sipped her tea, and looked at him with mischief in her eyes.
The fatigue of not wanting sex, the toddler’s plate, the yarn and knitting baby shoes, the book, the color swatches in colors suitable for a baby... bloody hell the pink and blue cookies... she’d even had been touching her belly a lot lately.... was Macy? Could she be?
“Are you?” his eyes began to gleam with tears threatening to burst in pure joy.
“You’re going to be a Father, again, Harry Greenwood. I’m 6 weeks pregnant!” she said setting down her tea cup, to clasp his hands.
“You are pregnant... you’re pregnant. I’m going to be a Father...” he stood up and scooped Macy up twirling her around, away from the yarn as to not trip. “I’M GOING TO BE A FATHER! OH, Macy, my love, I love you.” He kissed her all over her face. She laughed, and some tears of joy streamed down her face as well. They laughed and kissed for what seemed like ages.
“You wanna go celebrate?” she nuzzled her nose to his and nodded upstairs. He responded by kissing her.
Perhaps this was the happiest he’s been in a long time. This was one of the best days of his life.

22 weeks
Man oh man time flies when you’re growing a baby. I can’t believe it’s been a month since my last post! I had a pretty eventful month. I had my 20 week anomaly ultrasound, took a week off to staycation with my man, and finished off with my last centering appointment yesterday.
The anomaly scan was kind of cool, kind of awkward, kind of scary.
The cool: baby is seriously looking like a tiny human. They take a long time looking at all her parts from head to toe, zoomed in and close up. I could see the outlines of her little face, all her little hand bones, the chambers of her heart. Makes my heart feel so full.
The awkward: they require you to have a full bladder, so I have to chug a bunch of water 90 minutes before the appointment and go in with out going pee. Then they push around with the ultrasound and it’s crazy uncomfortable. Also the room we were in was very cramped. I felt bad for babydad because he was stuck in a weird spot and I could tell he was craning to see and it was killing his neck. I wanted to let him lay on the table with me so he wasn’t so uncomfortable himself. Lastly awkward/cute, she was moving all around again so it was hard for the tech to see certain things, so she kept jiggling my belly and mooshing it around to try to get her to move a certain way or get her hands out of her face. It was kind of funny but also weird to be handled like that.
The scary: a week later I got a call from the doctor. She told me that they found two abnormalities. The first I had noticed the tech type on the screen when we were in the ultrasound, so I had anticipated it, choroid plexus cysts. I noted she took a lot of different shots of baby’s brain, and then on one shot she typed “choroid.” The name stuck with me and I googled it afterwards. They are cysts that form in the baby’s brain during development in an area that doesn’t affect functioning, but they can be indicative of chromosomal abnormalities. I read a lot about them in the week before the call about what they were, as well as a lot of blogs and posts from other moms about how they were seen on an ultrasound but went away and baby was healthy. I didn’t tell my boyfriend about it until after I talked to the doctor because he is the BIGGEST worrywart in the whole world and he frets crazy hard about chromosomal issues because he has a cousin with Downs. The cysts are actually connected to a different genetic disorder, trisomy 18, which is much more rare but also more dangerous for baby. The second abnormality can be indicative of downs, pyelectasis, an enlargement of the renal pelvis (a part of her kidneys). Before this ultrasound I had a genetic blood test done that using science magic separated my blood from baby’s and tested for these genetic disorders. They all came back negative. When I spoke with her on the phone, the doctor assured me that these abnormalities are fairly common and usually go away later in the pregnancy. A geneticist was consulted that determined I didn’t need any counseling because the genetic test is much more accurate. Despite these reassurances I still had to sit down with babydad and tell him the news and he reacted as expected. We spent hours looking over information online both on the abnormalities and the other things they look for in the ultrasound. He kept asking if they had checked the baby’s heart or if they had checked for other signs of Downs, and I kept assuring him they check everything. They never provided me with the long list of “normal” tho so he was uneasy for awhile.
After we got through that we had a staycation! We took a whole week off to just hang out and relax, and of course plan for baby. We finally started in on the registry, which is crazy overwhelming and exhausting. It is hard to anticipate what we are going to need, and to anticipate stuff that is available and popular that we DON’T actually need. It took work but I think we have a pretty good list going so far. We also did some fun stuff. We took many walks, went to a movie, went to a museum, went to a nature reserve, and hilariously ended up going to Target every single day. I always scoff at using vacation time without going on a real vacation, but it was really really nice just spending time with my guy.
My centering appointment was little frustrating. I am STILL gaining weight despite really stepping up my exercise and trying to watch what I eat. I do still eat out or grab taco shop about once a week, so I’m probably going to be chopping that out too. It’s really hard when you’re hungry all the time! I also started the fall semester and Im taking one class. It’s really tempting to grab a frozen yogurt after because my favorite froyo spot is right next to school. Gotta do better I guess. I go in for my diabetes screening blood test in two weeks so I have to be extra good. I do NOT want to get the diabetes. Aside from that depressing disappointment, I was also able to confirm with the doctor that everything else on the ultrasound was normal, and she showed me the long list of all the things they look at that came back perfect, so that was reassuring. Last month they told us we would be doing yoga and I was excited, but it turned out to be kinda... wack. It was crowded and the instructor was oddly loud and chatty. She had us do a few poses in our chairs and we still kept bumping into eachother. I got a few nice stretches out of it but the yoga I do on my own at home is much better. Oh well at least I know I’m not missing out by trying to find a prenatal yoga class!
I’m determined to get some 22 week shots this weekend. Hopefully it doesn’t take me a month to post them this time!

A/N: Sorry it’s late!
One of the great things about working in academics, in your opinion, was the fact that you got extended holiday breaks. You were spending most of your days hanging around the house with Marshall in your pajamas, going for a nice evening walk in the snow (usually still in your pajamas), taking breaks from the organizing and measuring of your office to look at baby furniture and watch movies, usually watching Grey's Anatomy over the phone with Tyler before bed. Basically, the only thing you had to get dressed for these days was your prenatal yoga class and, even then, you were just wearing yoga clothes, so it was pretty much pajamas.
Today, though, however, you'd actually put clothes on because you and Marshall had a errand to run. He was sitting in the passenger seat, sitting up like he was a human, and you got some interesting looks and laughs as you drove. He looked so happy with himself though, that you couldn't resist taking a picture when you were at a stop light, sending it to Tyler. Marshall started cowering, however, when you drove towards town, and you suspected he thought he was going to the vet again.
"It's okay, we're going someplace fun," you reassured him, although he still looked doubtful when you pulled into the parking lot. You definitely knew that he'd been to a pet store when he was a puppy, because you'd been with him a couple of times when Tyler needed to grab dog food, but you weren't sure if he'd actually been to a pet store as an adult dog who you couldn't pick up anymore. The good thing was that he was pretty well-behaved and even-keeled, so you biggest worry would probably be him taking out a shelf of items with his wagging tail.
It was pretty humorous watching his eyes widen once you opened the door to the store as if he'd never seen such an incredible place before. He looked up at you, like he wasn't quite sure he was even allowed to go inside but, once you told him he could, he stepped inside and started sniffing immediately.
"Hi," the girl behind the counter said brightly, her eyes cast downwards, "What's your name?"
You answered for him, and her eyes flicked up to yours again. "Can he have a treat?"
When he heard the word 'treat', Marshall immediately sat down, and then started swiping at the air, trying to show off his ability to shake a paw. "Yes," you said with a laugh, and she came out from around the counter, crouching down in front of him.
"I didn't have to ask you to sit," she said, giving him two treats, which he took happily. Afterwards, she asked you what if you needed help finding anything, and you said you told her you were just looking for Christmas presents, so she left you to browse.
You went to the Christmas section first, because they needed Christmas toys, in your opinion. You chose a Christmas tree that looked pretty chew proof for Gerry, and a soft reindeer for Marshall because he liked to cuddle with his toys. You were picking out a penguin with a squeaker for Cash, when you noticed a box of candy cane dog treats. And then you got an awesome idea, and added it to the collection that you were creating.
And then you went to look in the regular toy section, picking Gerry out a puzzle toy that you could put treats inside that would hopefully keep him occupied because he'd apparently been having some....behaviour issues lately, and you found a toy that looking like skipping rocks for the pool or lake for Cash (and that Tyler would probably enjoy, too). You were just deciding on a ball for Marshall that you could kick and throw and that also floated on water, when your phone pinged with a text from Tyler.
Tyler: Are you taking my dog on a date?
Tyler: Make sure he pays
Tyler: He'll probably try to get in your bed after just fyi
You laughed to yourself, and then you realized, that while you had a collection of presents for his dogs, you had absolutely no idea what to get for him. Nothing seemed quite right, and you wondered if maybe you should try to do things differently this year. You'd already gotten gifts for the pups, who were really easy to impress, and you knew Tyler had stuff for the baby. So, maybe, you could just exchange Christmas presents between your "kids" for this year. It wasn't like there was anything either of you needed, anyways.
With your six toys and the holiday dog treats, you went to the check out counter, the woman from earlier before looking over all of your purchases and smiling down at Marshall. "Someone's a lucky boy," she said, as she started to ring everything through.
"Oh, they're not all for him," you said, "For his brothers, too."
"How many brothers does he have?"
"Two," you answered, and before she could ask said, "All labs."
"Three labs?" she asked, and you noticed her glance at your belly, so you instinctively rubbed it, "that must be a busy household."
You opened your mouth, and then shut it again, because you weren't about to start explaining that they weren't your dogs. "It is," you said, "But there's a lot of love, too."
"I'll bet," she said, bagging up all your purchases. "Have a Merry Christmas, guys."
You were so overtaken by the Christmas spirit and all the decorations at the shopping plaza that you decided to stop at Starbucks for a holiday themed drink, and got a puppaccino for Marshall, which he devoured in the car.
When you got home, you contemplated calling Tyler, but you couldn't remember whether he had a game tonight or not. And then you remembered the internet.
You crashed on the couch as the phone was ringing, to which Tyler answered, "So, did he kiss you?"
You didn't know what he was talking about, until you remembered the text he sent you in the store. "Yes," you answered, "With tongue."
"That's aggressive," Tyler said, and then, "Hang on, babe, one sec."
You were expecting him to set the phone down while he did something, but instead you heard him say in a stern voice. "Gerry, stop that. Those are expensive shoes."
You heard a shuffling noise and then a sigh. "Sorry," he said, "someone is acting like a two year old."
"Well, isn't he?"
"Not in dog years," he said, and then, in his dog voice, "Oh, and now you want to cuddle with me, huh? Are you sorry for what you did?"
You shook your head, laughing. "I had a question," you said, "About Christmas."
"Santa's real," Tyler said, "Don't let anybody tell you otherwise."
You snickered, laying back on the couch and running a hand through your hair. "No, I was wondering if maybe you and I could not exchange Christmas gifts this year?"
" Why?" Tyler whined.
" Because, I know you already got stuff for the baby..."
"So? You always get presents for me and the dogs. I'm not allowed to get you a present, too?"
" Tyler, I just don't think we should --""
"Well, it's too late," he said, "I already have your present."
"What is it?"
"I'm not telling you," he said, "That'd defeat the whole purpose of a present."
Obviously. But you really just needed an idea of what it might be so you could get a comparable gift. "Is it something for the baby?"
"Mmmnope, that's separate," he said, "Well, kind of, I guess, in a way."
"What does that mean?"
"It means that you might enjoy it while you're pregnant. But it's just for you," he said, "And it's not what you might think, either."
"What?" You questioned. You definately hadn't hinted that there was anything you wanted because there wasn't.
"I mean, I understand if you want a vibrator, but I don't really feel comfortable buying that for you. It's kind of personal thing."
"Tyler!" You yelled, in shock that he had just said that. But, in all honestly, you shouldnt be that suprised. "Seriously...."
He laughed loudly. When he was done, he said, "It's just a little something. You don't have to freak out or anything."
You sunk back into the couch, even more if possible. "I don't know what to get you."
"You don't have to get me anything for Christmas," he said, "you can just get me twice as many presents for my birthday, it's fine."
"If you're getting me something for Christmas, then I'm getting you something for Christmas," you said, "What do you want?"
"A really big hug?"
"Tyler..."
"Uhh..." he make a noise like he just fell back into the couch. "Honestly, I'd be really happy if you baked me some cookies. Like, a whole tin I can take back with me and not have to share."
You were about to respond when you heard a knocking noise, and then a ruffle of paws against the floor. "Hey, babe, I gotta head out for dinner," he said, and then after you said "okay", he added, "With some of the guys. I'll call you later, okay? If Gerry doesn't eat my entire house while I'm gone. Cash, you're babysitting."
After you said goodbye, you laid your head back, looking up at Marshall sitting at the under end of the couch, staring at you. "What do you think I should get for your Dad?" you asked, and he just tilted his head, still staring at you. You reached up, scratching him behind the ears. "Well, you're no help at all."
It seemed impossible, this year, for some reason. Nothing quite seemed to fit quite right, or be the right combination, and then you realized why.
What did you get for the man who had already given you the best gift ever?
Nothing seemed like it would ever be enough.
**
"C'mon," you said to Marshall, opening the door to the car so he could jump out, grabbing the box of candy cane shaped dog biscuits, ready to enact the plan that had come to you in the pet store. You grabbed the tray with your peppermint mocha and Marshall's puppaccino to set the Christmas spirit even more, unlocking the door to Tyler's house with one hand, setting everything down, and then going around to turn on lights. And turn on some Christmas music.
"Are you going to help me with the tree?" you asked him, but he just sat down and then pawed your leg, and you realized he just wanted his treat. So, you gave it to him, while you ventured into the garage, realizing that this was going to be the hard part. You found the box with the tree first, realizing that it was way to cumbersome for you to lift by yourself right now. So, you took piece by piece out, setting them in the living room, while Marshall was licking his container of whipped cream across the floor. You might have created a bad habit.
You huffed as you used your legs to push the couch out of the way just enough that you could set the tree up, Marshall looking at you like you were crazy for moving the furniture. Finally, it was out of the way enough that you could begin setting the tree up, standing back and taking a sip of your Peppermint Mocha every now and then, singing along with the music as you fluffed the tree up. Once you were satisfied with it, you plugged in the lights, and then went back into the garage for the boxes of decorations, bringing them up to the living room. On your last pass, you noticed through the window that it had started to snow again, so you opened the garage door, deciding to put your car in there while you were here so you wouldn't have to wipe all the snow off it afterwards.
Marshall was waiting for you at the door when you went back inside, and you leaned down to pet him. "I'm not leaving you here, don't worry."
He left and came back with a rope a moment later, pushing it against your leg, and you halfheartedly reached down and tugged it a little, knowing that if you went hard, he could pull you over. You also realized that Tyler hadn't really packed any toys for him, probably because he had thought he was hurt so, other than the couple of tennis balls you had around your house, Marshall hadn't had any toys, so you made a mental note to take a couple with you when you left.
You opened the bins, taking a look at what you had to work with, and then you noticed the Dallas Stars ornaments sitting on top, and remembered that you thought he had a game for tonight. You turned on the TV, flicking through the channels and muting it, so it didn't compete with the holiday music you had going. You finally found it, and saw the game was still scoreless. St. Louis, that's where it was.
His ornaments were kind of a hodgepodge, probably because he didn't always spend Christmas here. There were the Dallas Stars ornaments, a couple of hockey related ornaments you recognized that his Mom had given him when he was a kid, and quite a few dog ornaments, that probably his mom had given him at some point as well, as well as several of those cinnamon ornaments that you'd made together your second year of college, when you'd got yourself a mini Christmas tree for your apartment but didn't to spend money on ornaments. The rest was a mix of plain Christmas balls, like he'd just bought them at the last minute to fill in all the holes. They didn't even match. You made do, as best as you could, thankful that the lights were white so there wasn't a huge clash. You were almost done, when you found something hard, wrapped in tissue at the bottom of the box, and you unwrapped it to find an ornament, one of which you had very similar, that you made in the ceramics portion of art in eight grade. His was, well, it was absolutely horrible looking, paint swiped across it at the last minute, and you remember Kirsten mercilessly making fun of him for it, even before they were together, and before you really knew him. You hung it on a branch, right front and centre. And then you dug into the last wrapped item, but it fell out and you started laughing immediately, half bending and half squatting to pick up the tiny curve of wood. You remembered it, when he was taking this woodworking class in eleventh grade, and he'd been excited because he had this elaborate plan to jigsaw a skate out of wood. But the skate, as he showed you, kept getting smaller and smaller, and he ended up having to form it into a hockey stick, and he ended up failing the assignment, and you'd had to bite your lip not to try and laugh when he showed you his finished project. His mom, if you remembered, said something like "that's great, honey," when he showed it to her, and the both of you had exchanged a look like it wasn't.
You hung that on the tree, too, and were about to go about your project, when you realized that Marshall was sniffing the box of treats that you had bought, and you had a sudden vision of the tree toppling over as the dogs attacked it, especially with how Gerry was apparently acting. You sat down on the couch to rethink your plan, noticing that it was snowing even harder now, and you really, really were not in the mood to drive home while it was snowing. So, ordered yourself a pizza and went to Tyler's room, rummaging through his drawers to find yourself a pair of pj pants and a shirt. And then you found a string of garland, working on weaving it through the stairs, hanging the candy cane dog treats off it when you were done. Marshall was very curious about what you were doing, so you had to instruct him not to eat all the treats right now.
It looked pretty great, in your opinion, when you were done. The only thing you hadn't done was hung the star, because you'd have to stand on something to do so, and you didn't want to do that when your centre of gravity was constantly changing. But, at least his tree would be up and decorated when he got home for the holidays.
You ate your pizza as you watched the end of the game, finally crawling into bed with Marshall afterwards, arranging a variety of pillows around you, with him curled up by your legs. Both of you fell asleep pretty quickly, and you could hear Marshall start to snore just as you drifted off, too.
It was so much lighter in the room when you woke in a daze, realizing that what woke you was Marshall growling by your feet. You reached your hand out to pet him, thinking he was dreaming, but his head was up, and he was staring at the half open door growling. You didn't hear anything, other than snow falling off the tree outside. "Marshall," you said lightly, frowning when he bared his teeth, not even looking at you, "It's okay."
All of a sudden, he lept out of bed, barking like you'd never heard him bark before, pushing past the door, and then you heard a voice. "It's just me." It startled you, but it seemed familiar, and then you placed it, flying out of bed yourself because you could hear Marshall still barking and a commotion on the stairs.
"Marshall!" you yelled, throwing open the door, and seeing Tyler's Dad standing there petting Marshall now, who had calmed, although the hair on the back of his neck was still standing up, a remnant of him trying to make himself more intimidating.
When Marshall saw you, he came back over to you, and you crouched down, petting him, "It's okay," you said, and he licked you on the face, and then you asked Paul, "He didn't hurt you, did he?"
"Nah, he was fine once he realized who he was," he said, "Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you. Tyler didn't tell me you were here."
"Oh, he doesn't know I'm here," you said, and then you cringed, "I mean, he gave me a key. He just didn't know I was here, tonight."
He laughed, "It's his house, you don't have to explain it to me," he said, and you stood back up slowly, your legs feeling shaking when you realized you that you were standing here, in front of Tyler's father wearing Tyler's clothes, with a pretty noticeable baby bump. And you had no idea what to say.
"You're...." Paul said, his eyes eyes drifting downwards and your hand going over your belly, because there was no way of hiding it. "I didn't know you were....expecting."
Shit, shit. Shit, shit, shit.
"Yeah," you answered, "Umm...Tyler was going to tell you over Christmas."
He nodded a little, looking like he was deep in contemplation. "So, you're....living here now? With Tyler? I didn't see your car or anything."
"Oh, no, no," you said quickly, "I just came to set up the tree. My car's in the garage. It was snowing, so I didn't want to drive."
He smiled then, for a moment, "That's just what I was coming over to do this morning."
"Oh sorry, I didn't realize."
"No, no, I'm sure you could do a better job of it than I could anyways," he smiled, "I just wanted it to be here for when Tyler got home."
You stood there for a moment, just looking at each other and then you realized the reason he thought you were living there, was because he thought the baby you were having was Tyler's. Which it was. But only kind of.
"It's his sperm!" you blurted out. And then you realized you just said the word 'sperm' again, to Tyler's father, and you shook your head.
"What?" Paul asked.
"I...I wanted to have a baby," you said, "And Tyler donated sperm. At the clinic. We went to the clinic a lot." You realized you were rambling now, trying to make sense of anything, and avoid telling him all the details.
"It's not his responsibility," you tried, rubbing your hand over your belly more.
"Oh," he said simply, and then he scratched the back of his head, much like Tyler did, "Well, I should go. Let you go back to sleep."
"It's okay," you said. It wasn't like this was your house anyways.
"Nah, I just came to do that job anyways," he said, looking like he was thinking about going, "You're not, you weren't planning on staying here tonight were you? I'm sure you can, I'm not saying you should go."
"I was going to go home," you said, and then added with a laugh, to make him feel like he wasn't putting you out, "There's no groceries here, anyways."
"Oh," he said, "Do you need groceries? I can..."
"Oh no, I've got plenty. At home."
"Okay," he said, turning away and then back again, like he didn't know quite what to do. "I'll just shovel the driveway for you before I go."
"Oh, that's okay," you said, leaning down to pet Marshall, hoping to steal some of his calm. "You don't have to do that."
"It's no trouble," he said, "you should be safe."
You knew you weren't going to convince him otherwise, so you accepted, a mix of 'take care''s and 'it was nice to see you"s as he left, and you ran your hand over your face as soon as the door closed in embarrassment. And then you realized you weren't even wearing a bra, either. Great.
You took a long shower, needing to completely wash all the awkward off you, realizing that you'd need to call Tyler and tell him, but you couldn't face that right now. Maybe after breakfast.
After you got out of the shower though and realized that Paul was no longer in the driveway, you went back into Tyler's room and your phone was lit up with a text.
Tyler: HAHAHAHAHA
You groaned, focusing on making yourself pancakes , and feeding Marshall, and then trying to enjoy said pancakes.
It was probably 40 minutes later when your phone rang, and you answered it with a heavy "hi", to which Tyler responded with giggles.
"I can't believe my Dad walked in on you," he took a break to breathe, "in my bed. And that Marshall tried to attack him."
"It's not funny," you said. It was mortifying is what it was. "And I was not in your bed. I was in the hallway outside your bedroom."
"But you were in my bed," he said, "Why were you in my bed?"
"Tyler," you started.
"I gave you a key, you're allowed to use it," he said, still sounded amused by the whole thing. "I'm just curious, why were you in my bed?"
"I...." you looked down at the dog at your feet, and remembered not to give away the whole surprise, "I came over to get some toys for Marshell and it started snowing so I just decided to sleep here."
If he didn't believe you, he didn't let on. "Were you naked?"
"No, I was not naked," you said, "I was in your clothes. Which is worse."
Tyler laughed. "How is that worse?"
"Because it's like...it's like we're sleeping together."
"Well, we did sleep together," he said.
"Yes, but I don't want your Dad to know that," you said, and then you remembered there were so much more important things: the pregnancy. The baby. "What did he say?"
"Uh...I'm not sure if he really believed you," Tyler said, "Or me. I might have to show him the paperwork."
"Oh god," you muttured, sitting down at the kitchen table again.
"Babe, it's fine," Tyler said, "Honestly. Honestly, he's probably just glad I got someone pregnant on purpose."
You made a small noise because telling everyone was a lot, and you didn't expect to be so involved in the process. Especially when Tyler had said it was his responsibility.
"Don't worry, I'll fix it," he said, "You're really making this easy on me, you know."
"Hmm?"
"You tell everyone, and then I just get to swoop in and smooth everything over," he said.
"Okay, I did not tell your mother, you let it slip."
"You told her you were pregnant," Tyler said, "that helped. You wanna tell my sisters, too?"
"No."
"Please?" He asked sweetly.
"Not a chance."

A/N: This story contains themes of a sensitive nature.
Empty at the News
“Elizabeth?” The nurse enters the waiting room calling my name to let me know that it’s my turn to be seen by the doctor. Harry places his hand on the small of my back, guiding me towards the door as we make our way back into the exam room. “Room number 3 please.” She points the way towards the room, allowing my husband and I to enter before her.
“Hey, I love you.” Harry whispers in my ear, giving me a kiss on my temple. My husband’s lips feel soft and warm against my skin, and his statement calms the butterflies that are flying frantically with worry in my stomach. I sit up on the exam table and let out a deep breath as I run my fingers along the hem of my shirt.
“So what’s been going on?” The nurse asks as she sits at the computer.
“I’ve been feeling some cramping. I’m just a little worried; didn’t have this with my first pregnancy.” My voice is shaky as I explain the symptoms I’ve been experiencing for the last 22 hours.
I’m 14 weeks pregnant with our second child. When Grace turned two, Harry and I decided that even though he was starting tour soon, it was time to add to our family. It took about three months to get pregnant, and we were extremely happy when it happened. Harry was so excited he tattooed the date on his ribs, just like he did the day we found out about our Gracie Bug. Starting a tradition.
The cramping and discharge started yesterday morning. I’m hoping it’s just from the prenatal yoga class I went to, but Harry and I discussed that it was best to be safe and get it checked out.
“When did this start?” The nurse asks.
“Um, yesterday morning.” I state, running my hand across the small bump that has recently appeared.
“Have you had any spotting or bleeding?” I look towards my husband before I answer the nurse. He gives me a smile that is laced with concern, but I can tell he is trying his hardest to console my worry.
“Not exactly; some weird colored discharge, but no bleeding or spotting has occurred.” I state, looking down at my feet as they hang from the table. The nurse types some notes into her computer before she stands up and pulls out a sheet from the cupboard above the sink.
“I’m not sure what type of ultrasound Dr. Coombs will want to perform, so would you mind taking everything off from the waist down? That way you are prepared for either one?” She hands me the sheet and I give her a nod and tell her thank you. “Alright! I’ll go grab Dr. Coombs, and she will take a look.” The nurse closes the door when she exits the room, and I close my eyes, letting out another deep breath.
Standing up, I slide off my yoga pants and knickers, handing them to my husband. Harry folds my clothing into a pile and places them on the chair next to his. I sit back up on the exam table, placing the sheet against my lap, and I lie down, attempting to get comfortable on the awkward and cold table. I close my eyes and breathe, seeking to calm my anxiety. Suddenly, I’m startled by a screeching noise, and my eyes pop open.
“What are you doin’?” I ask with a small giggle at the sight of my husband.
“Want ta hold yer hand!” Harry continues to scoot his squeaking chair across the tiled floor of the exam room. Harry adjusts his seat so he is positioned by my head. Tangling his fingers in mine, his thumb rubs circles against my skin, and it gives me comfort that he is here with me.
“I hope everything is okay.” I state, letting out the concern I have had since the cramping started the previous day.
“Hey, it’s gonna be okay. Harry’s lips pull into a slight smile. My eyes search his face, and I can see that he is just as worried as I am. “Whatever happens, we have each other and our little Gracie Bug.”
“I hope she is having fun with Gem.” I say, optimistic that our two and a half year old is being a good little girl for her aunt. Harry called Gemma this morning and without hesitation she agreed to come spend the day with Grace.
“I’m sure they are havin’ fun. Grace wanted Gem to do her nails.” Harry chuckles. “She took Gemma straight to the cabinet full of her nail polish. Grace didn’t even care we were leaving in her excitement to spend time with her auntie.”
A small knock comes on the door, and my heart rate skyrockets as the door opens and our doctor enters the room.
“Good morning Elizabeth and Harry. How are we today?” The doctor asks as she shakes Harry's hand before sitting down on her chair with wheels.
“Could be better.” I say with a small shrug.
“The nurse said you have been having strange discharge and cramping?” She clarifies.
“Yes.” I look over at Harry who is still holding my hand; the anxiety is present in my face, and I can see in his expression he understands I’m scared.
“The cramping started after her prenatal yoga class. Could that have something to do with it?” Harry asks, wanting to give the doctor all the information we have.
“If you exercised before becoming pregnant and have kept it up, it shouldn’t affect anything. But let’s take a look, shall we?” She rolls her chair across the floor towards the ultrasound machine. “I’m going to try an abdominal ultrasound first to see if we can find out what’s going on.” Reaching across me, she folds the sheet down and lifts my shirt over my bump. The gel she squeezes on my stomach is warm and gooey and although I am worried, I am cautiously excited to see our baby.
Dr. Coombs places the machine on my stomach and pushes slightly. She moves it across my bump, searching for the baby. “Let’s see if we can find this little one. Sometime it takes a minute this early. They are small and like to hide.” She moves the machine back and forth on my stomach, pushing different buttons on the screen but it seems that she isn’t having any luck.
“Do you see the baby?” I ask, my voice is shaky as I don’t remember it being this hard when I was pregnant with Grace.
“I think I’m gonna try a transvaginal ultrasound, see if we can get a better picture.” She says. There is something in her voice that worries me. I take a deep breath and squeeze Harry’s hand as she wipes off the gel and prepares for the transvaginal ultrasound. Harry lifts my hand to his lips and places a kiss on my skin.
The next moments pass in a blur. Our baby, our sweet beautiful baby, doesn’t have a heartbeat. My heart shatters as my husband and I cry in each other’s arms. The amount of love we had for this little one is already so great, and it breaks my heart to know we have lost it.
Harry makes an appointment for a D&C that will be performed tomorrow, and we get in the car to go home. The car ride is silent as we both try to process what has just happened to our little family. When we get home, Grace is watching the Little Mermaid in the family room. I cuddle up with my daughter as I feel the numbness take over my body.
I’m not sure how I feel. Upset. Angry. Sad. Hurt. Broken. Unsure. Confused. Distraught.
Harry joins Grace and I on the couch after he explains to his sister what is going on. They hug as they both cry, feeling the heartbreak. In two short weeks we were supposed to find out what we would be having and now we have nothing.
Grace falls asleep resting against my stomach, and I wonder how we are going to explain. How do you explain to a two year old we aren’t having a baby anymore? I push the thought out of my mind as I lean into Harry. I can feel the tears rolling down his face and into my hair. I allow the tears to fall from my eyes, hoping it will help me feel better.
The rest of the evening is spent talking very little. Tears are shed, hugs are given, feelings are kept locked safe inside. If I express how I feel, that means this is real, and am I ready for this to be real?
Harry is an amazing husband, as I know he is hurting just as much as I am, but he takes the job of calling our parents. We were waiting until we found out the gender before we told anyone except family, so he only has a few calls to make. Anne insisted she come right then to help with Grace while I have the necessary surgery tomorrow.
-------
Two days ago I had surgery and thankfully it went without any complications. Harry put Grace down for her afternoon nap and enters the bedroom to find me wrapped in a blanket, holding the soft bunny we had purchased for our baby. I run my hands over the ears of the brown creature, and I can feel the pain in my heart aching deep with each moment that passes.
“Can I cuddle?” Harry asks, making sure he can join this moment of pain and sadness. I nod my head and let out a small hum, allowing him to slide in next to me on the bed. He wraps his arms around me, pulling me close towards his body, and I feel a sense of security wash over me.
“You alright?” I ask him. He has been quiet about his feelings since the doctor’s appointment.
“Um… I’m struggling if I’m honest with yeh…” His voice is extremely quiet and timid as he puts his feelings out in the open. His hand reaches out and runs down the opposite ear of the bunny. I feel the tears well up in my eyes as I watch his long fingers across the soft fabric of our baby’s bunny. “Yeh know, when we got pregnant with Bug, I loved her so much. The amount of love I had was something I never thought I would experience again.” Harry sniffs softly, and I know he is feeling emotional, and I am glad he is opening up. “When we got pregnant this time, I felt that same immense amount of love. I wanted to give this baby everything I could. To give it the love it deserves and needs.” Harry grows silent for a moment, and I let his words sink into my heart.
“You know, I’ve been thinking about this a lot.” I say softly, feeling ready to express my thoughts. “I think this baby could feel our love. How special is it that we were able to love that baby for 14 short weeks?” It’s hard to see the positive in this situation, but how amazing was it that we were able to have the opportunity to carry this soul alongside ours for that time?
“This baby was a blessing. And how lucky are we to have Gracie bug?” Harry says thoughtfully.
“So lucky.” I pull the bunny close to my chest and allow the tears to fall down my cheeks.
“Hey.” Harry says softly. “I love yeh. I will always love yeh. We will get through this right?”
“Yes. Together.” I say, turning in his arms so I can look at him in the eyes. “Hey. I love you. Always and forever.” I place my lips on his, sealing a kiss that is full of love and comfort.

Chapter 56: False Horizon, Pt 2
The class dismissed and David found the observing professors waiting for him outside the classroom.
"I thought for a moment there that the class was going to overrun you with questions," George mentioned sternly.
"It seems there is a bit of fascination that surrounds my situation, but it's not something I seek. I think once I get a few lectures in, the luster will wear off and the curious ones will drop the class once the homework and tests start," David said, almost frantically pleading his case. George smirked.
"Relax son…you course corrected in a way I think few could. Welcome to the math department," he said, as he extended his hand. David sighed in relief and shook his hand vigorously in return.
"Thank you," he said, as he smiled.
"Let's show you to your new office," George said, as he followed the other professors. He couldn't wait to tell Margaret.

Baron Samdi looked out to his flock and his eyes greedily drank in offering baskets that were brimming full of donations. Years of his overbearing, Bible thumping father was finally paying off. He knew exactly how to speak to people like this. They were lost people, looking for miracles in a world that gave them nothing but tragedy. He knew how to deliver to them and collect their money at the same time. And not lose a wink of sleep doing it.
To be wiped from the face of the Earth, only to return is an undeniable message to the world. Hope, faith, belief... all shall be rewarded. The miracle of 828 was for all," he preached, as the donation baskets continued to be filled.
"Now, those who feel called to testify are welcome," he announced, giving his podium over to members of the congregation. A young woman rose from her seat and stepped up to the podium and Olive watched her new friend.
"I'm Chloe," she announced.
"Hi Chloe," the congregation greeted.
"I'm a Believer. I was pretty broken when I first came here," she continued.
"Yeah, I'm not gonna lie. My parents, they just...they didn't get me, and I was lost," she said.
"But then I heard Adrian talk about how we're all connected, about how we're all a part of the miracle of 828. And Adrian says if you accept that miracle, we'll all be saved," she said.
"Well, it's already saved my life. I believe," she confessed, before taking a seat. Olive smiled at her, as they listened to others share their truths.

David got home that evening and Margaret could hardly contain herself, as she rushed to him. She yelped slightly, as he scooped her up and spun her around.
"Oh…" she sighed, as he kissed her passionately.
"Is it safe to say it went well?" she asked, as he finally put her feet on the ground again.
"I got the job…" he answered and she hugged him again.
"Oh David…I'm so proud of you. I knew you'd get it," she said, as their lips met again.
"It was a little rough there for a minute. Most of the people in the class came to heckle an 828'er I think…but TJ really helped me. He came to the class and helped me steer them away from the crazy and to the actual lesson," he said.
"Well…then I'm going to have to thank him for helping the man I love," she replied, as they swayed together.
"Half the class probably won't show up next time…but I'm in the door," he said.
"They are lucky to have you…you're amazing and all the stuff about the plane will wear off," she assured him.
"You never doubted me for a minute, did you?" he asked fondly. She smiled.
"Not even for a second, my love," she replied, as their lips met again.
"Mom had a Calling today," Henry said, chiming in from his place at the kitchen table.
"You did?" he asked in surprise.
"Yeah…I met this really nice woman after prenatal yoga and we talked for a minute. But then there was this horrifying gargoyle thing on top of her SUV and it was my voice saying to "Open her eyes." I have no idea what that means," she replied.
"Honey…that's terrifying," he said, with concern.
"It was…but I'm fine and Henry and I think we know how to find her," she replied, as she looked at their son.
"How?" he asked.
"I saw a sticker on the back of her vehicle and looked it up. Her son plays soccer nearby so I thought we'd go over and see her tomorrow," Margaret said.
"Okay…but promise me you'll be careful," he pleaded. She smiled and pecked him on the lips.
"We will be…but she was a nice woman and the gargoyle isn't really there," she said.
"In many cultures, gargoyles aren't evil, but they ward against harm and evil influences," Henry chimed in.
"I've heard that," David said.
"So…is it protecting her from something?" Margaret wondered.
"I'm not sure…but still be careful," he said. She nodded, as there was a knock at the door.
"Oh, that's Regina," she said, as she answered the door and they shared a hug.
"Hey…you sounded urgent on the phone, so I came as soon as I could get free," she said, as she hung her coat up.
"It kind of is…and it's something that can't go further than between us," Margaret replied, as they sat down on the furniture and David joined them.
"Of course…has something happened?" Regina asked.
"Yes…and we want you to know that we didn't like keeping this from you as long as we had to, but Vance insisted," David replied.
"Vance?" she asked.
"He's alive…he faked his death to keep investigating the Major," Margaret answered. Regina sat back.
"Wow…definitely didn't see that one coming," she said.
"Unfortunately…there's more. The Major seems to know a lot about your research," David replied.
"But that's impossible," Regina said.
"We think you have a leak at the hospital that's feeding information to the Major. Vance has a plan, but he was against letting you in on it," David replied.
"But we told him we couldn't keep you in the dark any longer and let you be used," Margaret said.
"We knew you'd want in," David added.
"You're damn right I do," Regina said, as he handed her a file.
"What's this?" she asked.
"We know the Major wants to control the Callings and be able to create her own brand of toy soldiers so we've picked someone random from the plane and we want you to help us plant this information," David replied. Regina smirked.
"Then she takes the bait and we find out who she is," Regina said. He nodded.
"I like it…and I want in. If someone is stealing my research, then I'm going to expose them," she said. They smiled.
"We were right to let you in on this and we're sorry we didn't tell you sooner," Margaret said.
"I get it…Vance is a spy. That's how this stuff works and you two are definitely not cut out for the whole subterfuge and deception game. I am though," Regina replied. David smirked.
"Yeah…something tells me that you'll be ten times the spy I am," he replied.
"Do you want to stay for a celebratory dinner?" Margaret asked. She smiled.
"I'd love to, but what are we celebrating?" she asked.
"My husband, Astoria's newest and most brilliant math professor," Margaret announced. Regina smiled.
"Congratulations," Regina said.
"Thanks," David replied, as Margaret went to the kitchen to start dinner.
~*~
"Yes…his name is Neal Cassidy," she said, feeling like a broken record. She had called every holding facility and prison in the city, trying to find Neal and was about to give up. Until she struck gold.
"You have him?" she asked, as she listened to the man on the other end.
"Perfect…I need to see him," she said, as she put the address into her phone.
"The infirmary?" she asked, as she sighed in exasperation.
"He's a recovering addict…you can't give him that stuff. I'll be right there," she said, as she slammed the phone down and got her stuff. She hurried out to her car, but stopped in her tracks, as another Calling assaulted her senses.
~*~
She, Henry, and Neal are on the plane again. The plane rocks, as thunder booms outside and it shakes under the turbulence. That's when Emma saw the gaping hole in the plane.
"This Calling makes no sense…Neal wasn't on the plane and there was no hole in it!" she cried.
"He's in trouble…we have to save him," Henry said, as they watched Neal be sucked out of the plane in horror.
~*~
Emma came out of the Calling and hurriedly got in her car, before speeding off.
~*~
Neal opened his eyes, only to find himself strapped down to a bed in some kind of infirmary.
"Hey…what's going on?" he asked.
"Relax…Mr. Cassidy, you had a bit of an episode," the orderly said, as he watched the nurse fill a syringe.
"What…what are they giving me?" he asked, but he didn't answer.
"Dammit…what are you giving me!?" he demanded to know, as he struggled with the restraints.
"Calm down…it's just something to help you sleep," the orderly replied.
"What is it?" Neal demanded to know.
"Mostly Midazolam," the orderly answered.
"I'm in recovery! You can't give me that crap!" he cried, but it was already on its way into the IV and he was unable to rip it out.
"You'll need to take it up with the doctor in the morning," the nurse said, as he continued to struggle.
"But if you don't want more…then you need to calm down," he added. Neal didn't have a choice anyway and slowly slipped into unconsciousness.
~*~
After dinner, Regina arrived at the facility that Margaret and David told her about. She was admitted and walked into the room where Vance awaited her.
"Dr. Mills," Vance greeted.
"Nice little come back to life trick, though you didn't have to disappear for almost six years like us," she quipped. He smirked and he motioned her to take a seat.
"I assume David told you about my plan?" he asked. She nodded.
"And I'm all in. If someone is spying on me, I want to help take them down," she said, as she brushed her hair away from her face.
"If they are stealing my research to use the Callings and us against people, then I want to rip their hearts out," she added. He looked at her with a note of surprise.
"Theoretically, of course," she continued. He smirked.
"Somehow I think you'll be a better spy than David," he said. She smirked.
"David has love to ground him and can't go as far as I can. If it's Whale…I'll destroy him and the Major right along with him," she said.
"Then welcome aboard. We have a small window so it's best if we rule Whale out right away," he replied.
"He's at the hospital now. I'll go back to work and ask for his help in the lab to get a feel for what he's after, if anything," Regina said.
"It's a start…" Vance said, as she rose from her seat and headed out.
~*~
His hand slid down her thigh, which was wrapped around his waist, as he pumped deeply inside her. The sounds of ragged breathing and impassioned gasps filled their bedroom, as they made love.
"David…" she breathed.
"Love you…so much," he rasped, as he kissed her lips and she writhed beneath him in pleasure. He expertly coaxed her climax from her and came soon after. He rolled onto his back and she rested atop him, as they both came down.
"That was a very informative lesson…Professor Nolan," she purred playfully. He grinned and kissed her tenderly.
"Well…you are a very attentive student, Mrs. Nolan," he replied playfully, as he pinched her rear.
"Mmm…then you're not going to make me stay after class?" she asked.
"Actually, I am…I feel that there is much you could school me on too," he joked.
"As long as I'm your only private student," she said. He smiled and kissed her passionately.
"Only you…it's only been you and always will be only you," he assured her.
"You're not seriously worried about Suzanne, are you?" he asked. She focused her eyes on his chest and the little circles she was drawing with the pads of her fingers, which was making his toes curl.
"Not at all…I mean, it's not of any concern that the Dean of Students, who used to have the hots for my husband and probably still does, will be working closely with him," she replied. He gave her a look and she looked up at him sheepishly.
"I'm not worried about you, of course…but she might make a move. A lot of people see seduction of a married person as desirable and you're quite a catch," she replied. He smiled and kissed her tenderly.
"But I'm your catch. If she makes a move, it'll just be awkward and embarrassing for her, because she's going to find out that I'm hopelessly and desperately in love with my wife," he replied. She smiled and slipped her arms around his neck, as their lips met again.
"You still hate her?" he asked.
"Always…but at least she's not as bad as that crazy fur woman in college that used to look at you like you were something to eat," she replied.
"Oh yeah…she was pretty crazy. I don't know who would want to wear real fur all the time," he said.
"No one…that's why she married rich to develop her weird and cruel fashion line," she replied.
"I feel bad for him," he said.
"Don't…he's a Wall Street Tycoon like my father. It's the only reason I know anything about it," she replied.
"I guess evil finds evil," he said and she knew he was referring to her father and Cora as well.
"Mmm…and good finds good," she said, as their lips met in another kiss and their passion consumed them once more.
~*~
Regina arrived back at her lab and found Whale there.
"What are you doing in here?" she asked in an accusatory tone.
"I've been assigned to assist in your lab…I'm doing my job," he replied.
"I never asked for an assistant and you're a full fledged general practitioner that should be working in the ER. Why are you here and why do you keep asking so many questions?" Regina asked.
"I told you…they want me to assist in the next phase of implementing your new treatment. I'm more than a general practitioner…I'm a surgeon who has done more pediatric cancer surgeries than anyone in this hospital!" he argued.
"When you're not drunk," she countered.
"What the hell is your problem? You're insane and the only reason you're still here is your research. But we were handling it while you were gone and we can do it without you," he warned.
"Get out!" she hissed, as he threw his hands up and stormed out of her lab. Regina looked at the file that Vance had given her. She would leave it in case he wandered back in here and then they would know if there was a leak. Right now, she needed to talk to someone so she dialed her therapist.
"Hi Fiona…do you have time to squeeze me in today? I really need to vent," Regina said, as she listened.
"Thanks…I'll be right there," she said, as she hung up the phone, grabbed her bag, and headed out for her appointment.
