After fixing a minor singularity, Mash, your servant and you had to wait before Rayshifting back to Chaldea. Apparently there had been some interferences that made difficult going back.

You’d been waiting for at least half an hour with no updates on the situation, so you decided to stretch your legs and go for a walk.

Mash was worried at first; it would be dangerous for you to go alone in case a monster attacked you, but you reassured her it would be fine. You wouldn’t wander too far after all.

After a couple of minutes walking, you found a small clearing in the dense forest. There were some beautiful flowers growing in the ground and you felt like taking a closer look at them. You didn’t recognize the type of flowers they were, still you thought they were really pretty. There was something about them that made the flowers look special, so you decided to pick up one. Perhaps they would be a nice detail for the servant who accompanied you in this mission.

Diarmuid

- He was a bit worried about you. You weren’t away for a long time, but in these woods you wouldn’t know when a ferocious boar monster would appear.

- He was relieved when he saw you picking up some flowers. You seemed happy surrounded by nature, the rays of the sun gently caressing your skin.

- “Hey, Diarmuid, look.” When you noticed his presence you hurried to meet him “This flower is really pretty. It somehow reminds me of you.”

- He tried to speak but found himself unable to. He just stood there as you gently tried to put the flower on his hair.

-“See? It looks really nice on you.” You were oblivious at how tense he felt by having you so close.

- Despite his nervousness he chuckled and advised you to go back were Mash was in case Chaldea solved the communication issue.

- That day when he returned to his room, Diarmuid left the flower you gave him in a small vase (and Fionn teased him a lot for it).

Bedivere

- Mash asked him to go look for you, just in case something happened; connection was reestablished and it was time to go back home.

- He found you sitting in the grass, mesmerized with something on your hands. When he called your name you made him a sign so he would come closer.

- ”Look Bedi! I found this cute little blue flowers so I decided to make this” You showed him the flower crown that you’ve been making. He thought it was adorable.

- “I was planning on giving you just one of the flowers because they reminded me of you. In the end I thought it would be better to make you something with them instead.” You admitted laughing.

- He didn’t know what to say. He wanted to thank you when you interrupted him to put the flower crown on his head. It turned out to be smaller than you expected.

- You teased him a little, saying he looked really cute with it. Then you winked at him and that was what turned him into a blushing mess.

- Luckily for him you didn’t notice because if you did he would probably die from embarrassment.

Arjuna

- He was already following you after you announced you were leaving. It was not that he didn’t trust you, he knew you wouldn’t get into trouble, but he wanted to make sure no monsters were nearby.

- After making sure there weren’t any enemies, he approached you. You seemed to be occupied inspecting some wild flowers. Did they catch your attention because of something special?

- Sometimes he found your behavior peculiar, he couldn’t understand what was going through your mind.

- Especially he didn’t understand why you liked him to accompany you so often in your missions. He thought it was nice that you cared about him, even if he couldn’t express it out loud.

- ��Master, perhaps we should get going.” Before leaving you took one of the flowers, one you were looking at with a particular interest.

- Once you went back to Chaldea you gave the flower to Arjuna, claiming it was a small token of affection. You didn’t want to give it to him earlier because you didn’t have one for Mash.

- Arjuna took the flower gently on his hands with a faint smile on his lips. He would make sure to treasure your gift.

The stern look in his eye hardly matched with the delicate touch of his warm hand, lanky fingers were soon entangled into the soft fabric of your shirt, your shoulder left alone and all his to claim. Your skin was softer, he thought to himself. Prettier too. But, he wasn't going to say it out loud.

Your mind was lost elsewhere as you overlooked at the city scenery beneath you, illuminated by the bright full moon that was hung up high in the sky. The atmosphere around the two of you was tranquil, maybe even a little romantic thanks to Diramuid's secret little attempts. He didn't like seeing you getting worked up over the things that he was supposed to worry about, it was his main duty to protect you and keep you safe, happy too. It was comforting to him to see you smile and hear you laugh. It made him feel just a little bit more alive, as silly as it sounded. He was ready to steal a star from the heavens themselves if you so gave him the command.

He was yours to use however you saw fit.

How would Lancer Cu, Astolfo, Yan Qing, Diarmuid and Rider Medusa react to learning that thier Master LOVES massages and being rubbed, her head specifically is her favorite spot to be rubbed/massaged! I've always had a hc that Cu is super good at giving massages his warm hands also help with that.

Sorry I could only come up with some really short ideas for this one. The ideas did not want to cooperate with me

Cu Chulainn (Lancer)

The first time he finds out, he can't help the image of you as a dog flashing through his mind for a second.

He'll massage/pet the top of your head pretty much anytime you ask, he finds it pretty cute.

Astolfo

Physical affection is actually one of Astolfo's love languages, so upon finding this out he was over the moon.

He'll massage the top of your head as long as you hold him while he does so. He gets to give and receive affection, so it's perfect.

Yan Qing

He's another one who kind of gets the dog-like feeling from you once he finds out. Especially once he saw you basically melt the first time he massaged your head.

He often does it when you need to chill out, or when he just wants to watch you melt into his touch.

Diarmuid

He found out by accident. He went to give you an affectionate head pat and watched you just melt into his touch. Now it's become a routine thing for the two of you.

During the quiet moments in Chaldea, you can easily be found leaning against him while he massages the top of you head, the two of you just relaxing.

Medusa (Rider)

This version of Medusa isn't... as big of a fan of a lot of physical touch as many of the other servants. But the exception to that seems to be you.

She'll give you the massages you want in private mainly, since this sort of thing is a very private and intimate thing to her that she doesn't want to share with anyone else.

Diarmuid is wary at first, when you grab his hand and smile. Dragging him along whatever adventure you had planned for the day. The Lancer worries, he worries for you. It wouldn't be the first time that a Master fell under his spell.

The thoughts and worry plaguing his mind as you lean against him, resting your head against his arm before you peacefully doze off.

He worries.

The worry that your affections only stem from a curse rather than what you truly feel towards him.

Yet as more time passed it became clear to the Lancer it was just who you are. A sweet and affectionate Master who would hold hands and hug even the most dangerous servants.

So Diarmuid eases into it, the feeling of familiarity and comfort. 

It really took effort. Not to steel his nerves every time you touched him so liberally and freely. To ignore the feeling of distress and panic and to lean into that small warm feeling in his chest.

You notice it.

It starts slowly, from stiff and polite reactions in the beginning to a moment when Diarmuid's hand grips yours first. Gently intertwining your fingers, as you both walk next to each other.

And one day you see it.

It is one of the more boring days and you are awake at the crack of dawn for change. You felt a bit annoyed that sleep decided to allude you, but that annoyance soon fades away as you see a familiar figure strolling through the hallway.

With a skip in your step, you easily catch up to the Lancer and slide your arm around his waist in a side-way hug. Diarmuid chuckles and slows his pace so you can match it more easily, it is a little gesture but you are grateful for it nonetheless. 

You cast your gaze upwards and there you see it, how Diarmuid lips quirk upwards in an easy smile while he catches your gaze with his own. The corners of his eyes crinkling in mirth as his smile truly reaches his eyes.

You feel warm.

"Good morning, Master"

Diarmuid voice is a soft drawl, his arm moving around your shoulder to lock you against him as you fall into step with him.

It really is a good morning today.

“Ah, y/n, I was just looking for you.” You winced, turning slowly to face Dr Roman with a tired smile. “Just one week of rest, one week. Why is that so hard?” Roman merely shrugged, lips pulled into a taught smile. “Sorry, but apparently saving the world doesn’t leave much time for breaks.” “Except the annual holidays.” “Well, yes.” He scratched the back of his head.  You chuckled and shook your head. “Come on, show me the fire I’ve got to put out.”

You followed him back to his room, Cu materialising out of thin air beside you as you walked through the door. A couple of others were there as well, Da Vinci of course, Medusa beside her chatting away happily, Lancelot and Kojiro  stood calmly beside each other surveying the servants, your gaze followed their line of sight to where Siegfried stood to attention beside the console. You offered him a soft smile before glancing over at Roman. “The floors all yours.” He coughed. “It’s a fairly small singularity, all things considered, but still. Should be fairly easy to deal with, it looks like it’s all Archer class. The readings are picking up one servant, also Archer class, but nothing worse than you’ve handled before.” You frowned, casting a sideways glance at Seigfried. “I’m sorry Seig, I promised I’d take you next time but…” He nodded his head. “Do not apologise Master, I understand. The Archer class is strong against my own, and it would not do to weaken my Master in such a way. Perhaps next time.” You nodded sadly. “I really am sorry Seig.” “I see, so you apologise to him and yet you scold your King?” You rolled your eyes as Gilgamesh appeared in the center of the room in a shimmer of gold. “I don’t scold Gil, I merely point out that you turn down such missions.” You sigh. “Do you want to come?” “Of course not, this is not a mission for a King. Take your dog with you.” “I intend to. But I won’t hear any complaints out of you when we return, agreed my King?” Some of the newer Servants shivered, muttering between themselves worriedly as Gilgamesh narrowed his eyes at you, but you didn’t flinch merely keeping your gaze levelled on the King of Heroes. “Such an impertinent Master, be thankful I am fond of you mongrel.” He huffed, disappearing into golden mist once more. “Well, now that’s done, who else can I take?” “Surely I’m more than enough Master?” You glanced over your shoulder at Cu and grin. “Gods it’s a good thing you’re pretty, if you think I’m letting you go into anything alone you’re an idiot. As wonderful as you are, even you can’t take on waves of enemies alone. “Lancer, prepare yourself! I can’t hold this spell for long.” Lancer readied himself at [Name]’s words. “God of the North wind, Boreas, God of the East wind, Eurus, God of the South wind, Notus, God of the East wind, Zephyus, Your faithful servant besieged you to lend get your strength so that she may vanquish her mighty foe!”

The wind tore her hair away from her usual bun, letting it whip freely around her. Had it been any other time, Lancer would have appreciated the sight of her unbound black tress. As it was, the wind she summoned started to clear a path to Caster. Lancer tensed up as her wind went closer and closer to Caster. ‘Come on…Just a bit more…’ Just as Lancer caught a glimpse of Caster, her spell failed and she collapsed.

“My lady…!” Luckily, he managed to catch her just before she hit the ground and lowered her down gently. Saber and Rider, who had stopped their assault on Caster when [Name] started her spell, prepared to resume their assault on Caster. Rider offered to buy them time to think of another plan to defeat Caster as [Name]’s plan had failed. Lancer didn’t hesitate to break Gáe Buidhe so that Saber could defeat Caster. His number one priority was to get [Name] to safety now that she was unconscious and vulnerable. However, he had to ensure that Caster was defeated first so he stood at the water’s edge cradling [Name] carefully as he watched Saber defeat Caster.

Lancer laid [Name] down as gently as possible at an abandoned building. It was unfortunately the best place that he could find for now.

“Lan…cer?”

“My lady!” *Her eyes narrowed for a brief moment before they relaxed again. It was a testament to her weariness that she didn’t even bother to correct him.

“Where are we?” “An abandoned building, my lady. I apologise, it was the best…” Lancer trailed off as [Name] raised a hand to silence him. They both kept silent as [Name]’s eyes darted around, absorbing every minute detail of their surroundings.

“Diarmuid, where’s Gáe Buidhe?”

“I…broke it so that Saber could defeat Caster. I apolo…” This time, [Name] pushed herself up and placed a finger upon Lender’s lips to silence him. They stayed as they were for what seemed to be an eternity until [Name] collapsed upon Lancer’s chest. What meagre strength she had accumulated from her brief rest had been spent.

“You are apologising a lot today, aren’t you, Diarmuid?” asked [Name], her tone mildly scolding.

“I apolo-“

“You are doing it again, Diarmuid. You have no reason to apologise to me, after all, you merely did what you thought was best at that moment. Besides, we are a team, not master and servant.”

By the end of her short speech, her voice was scarcely a whisper. If not for their proximity, he would have never heard it.

“My lady…”

Suddenly, Lancer tensed up and he tightened his hold on [Name].

“Diarmuid?”

“Someone’s here.”

“Go, Diarmuid.”

“My lady…”

“Go on, I await your return.”

“Yes, my lady.”

He hated to leave [Name] alone, especially when she was so vulnerable but he couldn’t disobey her either.He wasn’t very surprised when it was Saber who met him in the courtyard of the abandoned building. At the very least, they would finally be able to finish their battle.

She watched from her spot as the two servants fought it out. Such honourable warriors, there were no one more deserving of the title ‘Heroic Spirits. She was glad to have met them despite her reluctance to enter this war in the first place.

Suddenly, a shadow was casted upon her and she looked up to see Kiritsugu pointing a gun at her. 

“Mr. Kiritsugu, how…expected,” she whispered quietly as her lips formed a small, wry smile. 

He put his finger to his lips in the universal gesture of silence. She cocked her head to the side. In response, Kiritsugu hands her a scroll.

‘A Self-Geas Scroll. A magical item used by Magi to form an unbreakable contract. Binding spell… Affected Party: Emiya Kiritsugu. The Emiya family crest orders the following. The pledge is to be observed by the affected party upon fulfilment of the conditions described herein. Pledge: Kiritsugu, son of Norikata and the fifth descendant of the House of Emiya, will be forever forbidden from harming or intending to harm, [Name] [Middle Name] [Last Name]. Condition…’

 After reading the scroll, she looked at Kiritsugu searchingly. She gathered the magick stored at the amulet around her neck before speaking into his mind. To his credit, he didn’t even flinch. In fact, the only outwardly respond he showed was the slight widening of his eyes.

‘I won’t do it.’

Kiritsugu responded by pulling the safety of his gun.

‘After all, it doesn’t matter, does it? You are going to kill me either way. A master without a servant can form a pact with another servant and you can ill afford that.’

For a moment, she thought that she saw a shadow of surprise pass through Kiritsugu’s face.

‘Kill me, Emiya Kiritsugu. Let me be but another life you sacrificed in your quest to save the world. However, will you listen to this girl’s final wish?’

He lowered his gun slightly and she took it as her cue to continue.

‘Ensure that my death isn’t instant.’

This time, she definitely saw the surprise on his face. She smirked. It was a highly unusual wish as most people hoped for the opposite.

‘I wish to say farewell to Lancer.’

He nodded and shot her in the aorta, ensuring that it gazed the aorta so that she would bleed out in 5 minutes.

‘Thank you.’

The gunshot rang across the abandoned building.

Lancer’s head whipped towards the direction where the gunshot came from so fast that he gave himself whip splash. He immediately abandoned his stalemate with Saber when he saw that the gunshot came from where he had left [Name].

“My lady!” 

He raced towards her, hoping against hope that she wasn’t shot. His heart had never been filled with such rage as when he saw her bleeding from where he left her with Emiya Kiritsugu standing over her holding a gun. He readied his lance to slay the miscreant who dared to harm his lady.

“Diarmuid!”

Her voice was authoritative and they had been together long enough to know that she wanted him to stand down. He tore his gaze from where he was glaring at Kiritsugu to look at her. He barely registered the shocked gasps of Saber behind him.

Her right hand on her chest was stained with blood while she used her left hand to gesture for him to come to her side. He approached her while keeping Kiritsugu in his line of sight. As he got closer, Kiritsugu backed away to give them some privacy.

He dropped down on his knees next to her as she smiled at him. Her face was paler than he had ever seen and that only makes the blood on her lips stand out even more starkly. He held her gently and lowered her carefully to not aggravate her wound so that her head rested on his knees in hopes of making her more comfortable.

***His clothes changed to the daily wear that [Name] had bought for him and he made to tear it apart to make some makeshift bandages.

“Lea…ve it.”

“My lady…”

“Leave. It.” 

“My lady, I can see the blood on your clothes.”

She opened her mouth to answer him but more blood merely dribbled out of the corner of her mouth. Instead, she spoke into his mind.

*‘Is that so? I will find even darker clothes next time then.’

She tilted her head to the scroll resting innocently at her side so he picked it up and read it. His eyes widened with understanding as he read it.

“My lady! You should have let me die.”

 ‘Do I seem like such a heartless person to you, Diarmuid? I would never even think of sacrificing another’s life for mine.’

“I don’t mean to insult you, my lady, but I have already died once.”

‘It doesn’t matter. Kiritsugu had no intentions of allowing me to live either way.’

“But…”

“My servant. By her Command Seal, [Name] [Middle Name] [Last Name] orders you, Lancer, to not take revenge upon…” she coughed, causing blood to bubble out of her mouth. “Emiya Kiritsugu or anyone else that you hold responsible for her death.”

“My lady!”

“By my Command Seal, I order you to return to the spirit world upon my death. And by my Command Seal, I order you to not form a pact with another master for the duration of the 4th Holy Grail War.”

More blood spilt from mouth and her face was bone white.

“My lady! How can you possibly expect me to do such things?”

When you said you had a new type of tea you wanted him to try, he was not expecting the plastic cup with a pretty large straw. Honestly, he thought at first you would be doing something similar to a tea ceremony, but okay. He'll try it.
