Antero, meaning "Love returned" and Devlin meaning Fierce Courage; Unlucky Putting these two together, I'd like to think that this name means ' Unlucky love brings ferocious courage ' which is... something :) Antero wasn't really born into the best of families. His father died long before he was born, and was raised by his mother alone, who wanted the best for him. The Mother and son would constantly travel, never staying in one place... as if running from something.... One day, whatever was hunting her and Antero down, caught them, taking his mother from him and abducting him, later dunking him in the ocean to die. Luckily for him, he was found by an assassin who took pity on the young boy, and raised him as his own (he was 10 at the time, and is 30 as of right now / the story's events) If you want to pair him up or have canon character / oc interactions, just let me know in asks, reblogs or pms!!!

Devlin is Absolute's assistant of a sort. Rather than get paid, Absolute is seeing if he can make Devlin human again.

If you noticed, Devlin has the same last name as Tempestt. They were married to each other, but being a widow is pretty weird when you both have died and are demons in Hell now.

The way demons work is that they become more demonic the longer they have been in Hell. Additionally, they get longer horns or more sets of horns. Devlin is relatively young in demon years, so he looks mostly human. He has been dead for longer than Tempestt has.

Anodite Devlin Levin!

I always headcanoned Devlin as Kevin's and Gwen's kid, so I wanted to redesign him a bit and add some of my headcanons

-1) he has a lucky cat/lucky girl cat patch that Gwen made him and embroidered into his favorite hoodie and sometimes he Lowkey takes over her identity as lucky boy and takes her cat mask with him on his little solo missions

-2) I headcanon anodites as a female only species (although they don't care much about gender) so Devlin is a trans man, in his anodite form, his top surgery scars are made of stardust and mana and have little stars shining in them.

-3) I also headcanon anodites as goat or deer like, so they have hooves and horns, the older the anodite, the longer their horns grow as a symbol of their power (Devlin is still a teen so his horns are relatively small, they start to sprout as itty bitty little nubs when an anodite is around 10-11, yes that's a Ben 10/Kevin 11 reference lol) I wanted the slight goat features to be a metaphor for how goats have been seen as a sign of secret knowledge, magic, witchcraft and the occult thought history so this is my way of saying I see anodites as the cosmos/universe version of a witch

-4) I also think Devlin would be very into spells and magic and Both him and Gwen would bond over that, Gwen would definitely mentor him in how to use spells and mix it with mana and his anodites powers.

Thank you!! I'm really glad my silly comics can entertain!! 🖤 You're the first to ask about this! She, like so many DU's, was not immune to Gortash's charms. Their relationship was like that of mating tarantulas. A hairy Gortash would cautiously approach Devlin and then she'd decide if he would live after they copulated.

Gortash might make an appearance in a future fan comic but for now I feel like no one is ever going to ask me to draw these two again. 😅 Full version at the patron place if you're really into it though! ✌

DEMONIC RITES - 1/2 "Vultures Ballet of Vita" I will explain each piece of the outfit and the next post, i'll explain how the clan goes with the demonic ritual and whats under the coat/layers :> --- Headpiece: It is based on a funeral bonnet from the 1800s, the beak is of a vulture and it's lined with teeth that get sharper at the beak area. There are the horns of death that are golden and a bit heavy. The headpiece is held together with a ribbon bow. The ribbon bow is also inspired by funeral attire, and there is a locket in the middle of it. Called "The First Ones", which is a locket that holds the demon's first tears, as a reminder of their origin. Overcoat: Pretty basic, has little golden dangle things at the end of it. Dress/Covering: Used to hide the legs! Very breathable. Is clippable too! Shoes: Called the "Ladder of Life", the lacing of the boot is to represent a ladder that you start from the bottom and as you make your way to the top, you get closer to the heart. They would only show the "Ladder of Life" to those that they trust because they are essentially, trusting them with the exposure of the ladder, aka their life. The Rwar's clan's Demonic Rituals are private events so only those who are invited would have to be those trusted by the birthday demon themselves. During the whole celebration, no other demon in the Clan is allowed to show their shoes as it would be taking away the attention, nor is the birthday demon till the appropriate time to do so. --- I'll explain why Demonic Rites are so important and heavily celebrated within the clan as well in part 2! The Devlin's are a weed in this Decades Challenge. There are so, so many of them and they keep popping up. The fault is mostly because of Helen Arnold and Albert Devlin...

Helen Arnold was a descendant of the Langston family. She was Agnes Scott (nee Langston)'s grandchild. Agnes married Albert Devlin who was...

The nephew of Leon Devlin (father of Primrose and Marigold). Leon had a brother named Timothy, who had three children of his own including Albert. Albert Devlin had 6 children - one out of wedlock, and 5 with his wife Helen. His siblings also had many children.

What you can't see is how many descendants have flowed on from this branch of the tree - especially because there were so many sons, so the name Devlin kept on carrying.

David Devlin was the great-grandchild of Helen and Albert. He was Pearl Dreyfus's boyfriend and he left her when she fell pregnant with their son Buddy. David went on to marry after this and had 5 sons. Only one of them produced a descendant, and all of them died of accidental causes in their youth.

Buddy's only son, Sam, married another Devlin 🤦🏼‍♀️

Nevertheless, there are still so many Devlin's hanging out as a result of their prolofic breeding. I can't keep track of them anymore.
