strangetown, ready to begin playing. yeah, i got bored of ts4.

i love strangetown and i love the sims 2 but i've never been able to stick with one neighborhood for a long time, because i inevitably make it too complicated for myself, get overwhelmed and stop doing it. i don't want to do that anymore, i want to actually stick with a hood.

the hood is just strangetown + la fiesta tech. no downtown or shopping district right now, i want to keep the middle of nowhere vibe.

i couldn't resist adding some families, though

first of all, bella, of course. there's no clone townie here, just actual pleasantview bella. i was inspired by the implied storyline put together in lunar lakes in ts3. i know a lot of ts2 fans probably don't like it, but i do. so basically, what happened in my headcanon is that bella was abducted by aliens while pregnant with her and mortimer's 3rd kid, mathilde. the aliens used her as a test subject in a cloning project and dumped her in strangetown with her memory wiped when they didn't need her anymore. since then she's been stuck in strangetown and mathilde is the only remnant she has of her past life. i actually made bella a family sim since i figure mathilde is her priority now. though, i don't personally picture bella as a cheating romance sim or a gold digger even when married to mortimer.

emperor xizzle and burple from gba/ds, made by @/chrisnewbie :) not much to say here, it's all from the strangeytown custom hood. i just love these two though, i had to put them in.

tristan legend and optimum alfred, also by @/chrisnewbie. in strangeytown, chrisnewbie had optimum alfred living with lord mole, but i decided to change it for my hood, playing as lord mole didn't really interest me. i love optimum alfed, he's cool and he looks sort of like a dinosaur or something to me. he is a servo of course.

and horus menhoset ix, also by @/chrisnewbie. but i put him in a mummy outfit. he is a zombie, of course. i think playing with him will be interesting. an elder zombie shy popularity sim. i like it.

so yeah, now the only thing i need to do is the custom lifespan and i'm ready to start. i'm not sure if the clean template i used has scripted events, i hope it does but it's ok if it doesn't, i'll still try to act them out.

i'm a little bothered about something though, i downloaded a restaurant made by pleasantsims, and when i placed it down, there was literally a bartender inside of it? this really concerned me and i immediately bulldozed the lot, left the game and ran hoodchecker which did remove a bunch of stuff. i know that hoodchecker isn't a perfect fix so i really hope the hood is ok. but if it ends up not being ok, i'll accept it and just start over with a new strangetown, add all the new sims again, the new lots, etc. which would be annoying but i can live with it.

also, i added virginya feng by chrisnewbie to be the town's vampire since there's no downtown, but i made her a townie.

She didn’t care enough to try to figure out who they were talking about. However, she didn’t need to wait too long, as the mystery solved itself fairly quickly. To the sound of a collective, classroom-wide groan, the kid that sat behind her hurried to the front of the class, clutching a little robot under his arm. Her curiosity was... mildly piqued.

Just finished the first episode of the new gba series: birds of valhalla aaaannndd

I WAS NOT EXPECTING A NEW SERIES ALONG WITH THE BASTARDS VS ZOMBIES!!

When I tell you I got major servos and loyal vibes with this one

I immediately fell in love with these voices bro! Their both amazing

Also I felt so much sympathy for (how have I already forgotten which ones which....?) The black featherd one. Its ok buddy loud noises freak me out too

I already said this in the comment section but as a member of the (au)tism community I claim these two birdies

This kinda made me worried but they both have a lot I'm common with some of my ocs for a sp au I've even working on for like...2 years now so when that comes out just know that it wasn't on purpose

Also pali be out here with another astonishing pair of character designs!!!

I'd honestly be ok if there was no romance in this series just adventure and shenanigans but if there is going to be romance then I'd be OK with either of the characters being the love interest honestly

Project Strangetown: 18 Sims from The Sims 2: DS + The Sims 2: GBA

Since the DS/GBA story lines seem to take place in the same universe/timeline with a lot of character overlap, it made sense to combine them. I decided on a couple exceptions:

- I did not include PC sims (Tank Grunt, Johnny Smith, etc.) or any NPC that didn’t serve a story purpose (Saloon Chick, Safari Chick, etc).

- Some sims I feel are better suited for a different set so I didn’t include them here. For example, Cannonball Coleman and Futo Maki are, in my opinion, Urbz sims so I’m reserving them (and others) for that future set.

- Noticeably missing is Optimum Alfred, a servo. It seemed redundant to upload a servo that will be 100% identical to any in-game one.
