Devin and Ivy only had like two scenes together in the show, but that was enough for me to fall in love with them, and I started to imagine how things could've been for them if they had met under different circumstances.

Charles is under some kind of magic spell/curse/etc and is delirious, at risk of hurting himself so Edwin has to use magic to tie him down and keep him safe while he tries to work out a cure.

Series Masterlist

You walked into your bathroom, scrubbing the blood off your hands. Blood seemed to seep through every crevice, getting under your nails. A knock at your door had you scrub your soapy hands even harder. A voice called out, causing your breathing to shallow.

"Y/N?" The voice called out again before the door was forced open, the person walking into your room. With a startled noise, hands wrapped themselves around your, forcing your hands apart. "Hey. Hey. Don't do that."

Your eyes dart up to the face of the figure, revealing Riven looking at you in sympathy. Tears began to build in your eyes but you sucked in a deep breath, sucking the tears in as well.

“I’m fine.” You stated, your voice shaking ever so slightly before continuing, “Riv. I’m fine.”

With a shake of his head, Riven turned around to leave and began walking out the door. You walked with him, closing the door but Riven’s foot in the door stopped you from closing it fully.

“You don’t have to be fine. If you’re not, it just means you’re human.” Riven said simply, before removing his foot from the doorway and walking away. You looked at the closed door for what seemed like minutes before you left the dorm. As you walked into the corridor, you bumped into a new face outside the Winx suite.

“Oh. Hi. I’m Flora.” The girl you had walked into said, holding a hand out for you to shake.

“Y/N.” You replied, quickly giving her hand a shake. It wasn’t too short like you were disgusted by her or too long to seem like you were heavily attracted to her but concise. Nodding slightly, you walked away, continuing to look for someone. 

Eventually you headed back towards your dorm after the unsuccessful search for Riven or Sky. You flung yourself face down onto your bed, arms wide next to your side. Suddenly, your dorm door slammed open as you heard heavy breaths from behind you.

“Did you do it?” Andreas’ voice rose as he spoke. “Did you help Silva ESCAPE?!” 

“What?” You turned around to face Andreas, confusion written all over your face. His eyes darted over your face, looking for any hints of recognition.

“You didn’t.” Andreas acknowledged before leaving, leaving you to call after him.

“Aren’t you going to apologise?!”

“Right there in her drawer and the pincers on that thing match the bite marks on Devin. It's what attacked him. Rosalind knows it.” Bloom said on the group call between her sitting with Stella and Aisha, Silva with Sebastian and Musa with Terra. Sebastian flicked through the photographs he was sent, Silva hovering next to him.

“Wish I recognized the language.” Aisha said, causing Musa to pipe in.

“Yeah, Terra didn't either.” 

“It's one of the dead ones. Rosalind must have got the book from the Royal Archives.” Silva explained.

“I think I remember some of these symbols from school. I was a bit of a history buff. Um, I can probably figure some of this out, but it'll take some time.” Sebastian stuttered slightly, glancing at Silva.

“We don't have time. Three fairies are missing. Only one is back. Whatever is in that book, it's the key to what Rosalind is up to.” Bloom chuckled nervously before glaring slightly at her phone.

“What about if we had a guide to help us translate it?” Silva asked Sebastian.

"It would be a start, but there are thousands of symbols. There should be a translation text in the library.” Sebastian explained, leaning back slightly in his chair.

“Uh, Rosalind closed the library. She said she's weeding out inaccurate propaganda.” Bloom explained to Silva and Sebastian after a quick glance at her companions.

“Always a good sign when a leader controls access to books.” Stella snarked.

“Uh... Y/L/N might know. They’re a history nut too. Get them involved.” Silva explained, Sebastian’s eyes widening slightly at the mention of Silva’s favourite specialist.

��No. I don’t think we can’t trust them.” Bloom shook her head as she spoke.

“Why not?” Silva asked, indignantly.

“They... appear to be on Rosalind’s side... With Sky’s dad.” Aisha tried to explain.

“My house. There's one at my house.” Silva sighed, seemingly giving up on that line of questioning. “The bookcase in the sitting room. You know where I mean, don't you, Stella?” 

“Yeah. Yeah, I do. I've been there with Sky. Y/N came with occasionally.” Stella nodded, explaining after a brief glance from Bloom.

“Oh... Sky's house.” Bloom replied.

“Yeah, I'm... I'm not sure Sky would want to go.” Silva sighed.

“I have class off to, uh, do reading for Rosalind. I can probably borrow the Harveys' car and just slip out.” Bloom explained.

“I'll draw you a map to the house.” Silva retorted.

“Someone was here. Probably someone who knows where Silva is. This should send them a message. Now, burn it down.” Andreas ordered Riven and Dane as they stood outside Silva’s house, Bloom and Sky hiding inside. The specialists outside began coating the place with gasoline before striking a match and letting it fall onto the gasoline. Flames rose and smoke began to seep through the floorboards where Bloom and Sky were hiding. Twigs snapping had Riven, Dane and Andreas spin their heads around to find a stumbling figure walking towards the house.

“Motherfucker!!” You yelled over the crackling flames before you turned to the others. “I had important shit in there!”

“Little warrior. Go back to Alfea.” Andreas commanded you, Riven looking at you in betrayal at Andreas’ words. With a glare and a clenched jaw, you turned away and stomped away much like a child throwing a tantrum.

Later that day, as the Winx suite used the translating guide to help Sebastian decrypt the page he was given, you were sitting crossed-legged on top of your bed, typing as you spoke aloud.

“Right. Next up... Aster Dell and its consequences. Fuck.” You cracked your knuckles as you opened the various books around you. You looked at quotes, finding references to various other books before heading onto the library book spreadsheet you had created when you came to Alfea. The vibration of your phone next to you pulled you out of your research.

Virgil - the caller id read. You swiped to answer the phone, putting it on speaker.

“Hey, Darling.” A smooth masculine voice spoke out, your mouth instantly twitching into a smile.

“Hey Virgil. What’s up? I didn’t expect a call.” You asked, as you continued to type up your research, ensuring to save it.

“Those fairies in the Winx suite are up to something. And whatever it is, it’s dangerous.” Virgil blurted out, causing you to stop and turn towards your phone with furrowed brows.

“How do you know all this?” You questioned, leaning your head in one of your hands, your elbow resting on your knee.

“People seem to think just because you’re alone, it’s better at keeping this secret. It’s not.” Virgil explained nonchalantly, causing you to respond with a raised eyebrow.

“Did your earth abilities to spy again?” 

“Yes. But that’s not the worst bit.” Virgil tried to brush over. You smiled before letting the conversation to change.

“Oh. And what is?” 

“They don’t trust you because you’re on Rosalind’s side with Andreas. You know... The dick that abandoned you when you were 7.” 

“Well then. I guess this could only go one way.” You stated before the two of you spoke in unison.

“Revenge.”

Rumors! Spoilers! Fans in a frenzy!

While opinions were divided on the first season, it clearly made enough of an impact to warrant future iterations.

Not sure this is totally true.  Everything I’ve heard suggests the second season was planned from the start.... but it’s hard (for me) to tell how popular Fate really was since I’m here in the fandom that hated it.

Arguably these ‘controversies’ were nowhere near enough a reason to cancel the series.

And by arguably they mean we’re all still arguing about it!  *grin*  At least it gives me plenty to write posts about!

We’re happy to confirm that there are at least three new characters being introduced in season 2 including:

Flora – Described as an Earth fairy like her cousin Terra, having an easy-going nature but hiding a dark secret. They are casting a Hispanic female for this role.

Of course they are; it’s their only hope of placating their fanbase!  But I’ve seen rumors that an actress named Fiona Palomo was considered and she’s a Mexican actress whose appearance is A)totally unlike cartoon Flora and B)totally white.  This is just a rumor and of course many actresses would be considered before one is chosen, but this suggests the casting director may actually be tone deaf enough to cast another white-looking person!  It strains belief, honestly... we’ll have to wait and see for sure!

Sebastian – Featuring in season 2 of World of Winx, Sebastian will be making his way over to the Netflix series seemingly. Described as a student with a brilliant mind but with questionable morals.

The gay dude from WoW with the murder museum in his basement?  Oh please, make his Fate version be all into traps like basically Fred from Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated only gayer.

Also, “questionable morals” we’ve got Riven for that do we need another dude for it?

Grey – We weren’t able to find a reference to Grey (correct us if we’re wrong) from the original animated series. This character is set to be a transgender male described as a specialist with a secret (everyone is hiding secrets in season 2!). Furthermore, he’s set to have a relationship with Aisha in season 2 which he obtains with his “charismatic charms”.

“Greetings fellow teenagers! We know you like transgender people, so we’ll put one in our show!” --Brian Young, probably.

So he’ll be Nex, who has gray hair.  And “charismatic charms” again, we have Riven for that.  So we’re getting two more Rivens.  Much as I enjoy Freddy Thorpe’s Riven i don’t know that we need more of him.

A lot of characters with deep dark secrets.  That’s a lot of new plot to add when we’ve already got plenty to do with ditching Rosalind, busting Silva out of jail, Bloom figuring out her stuff, Stella dealing with her abusive mother, etc. The article says season two may have seven episodes instead of six but still, that’s not much time to tie everything up.  Does Fate hope to have a complete story arc by the end of season 2?  Are they already aiming for more seasons?  I suppose they sort of have to dream big, as creators of the thing, but it seems clear to me down here in the fandom that Fate got off to such a shaky start that it’s never going to go very far.  If I were Straffi I’d pull out of Fate and start building a live action movie that really is a Winx story based on the cartoon. 

I’ve also heard the names Ivy and Devin-- which may be leftovers from an earlier stage of development when writers were thinking of going with another earth fairy OC instead of going for Flora.  The season one rumors features a character named Jade who never turned up in the show so it’s clear they add and cut characters at several stages in the show’s creation.

The article has at least three “We want Dowling back!” comments. =)
