I keep hate-reading plague literature from the medieval era, but as depressed as it makes me there is always one historical tidbit that makes me feel a little bittersweet and I like to revisit it. That’s the story of the village of Eyam.

I'm still trying to figure out how to draw and make it looks like a comic. It's fun but difficult for me to get the right tone of skin and hair. Please let me know if this looks too pale or dark. I'm sorry if it is weird but I can fix it!

It's really crazy I'm old enough to know the screentone was a sheet of sticky paper and I used to buy it from art supply shop when I was... like early teen? I'm not good at drawing so mostly I helped my friend making manga, putting tones. Now I'm doing it on digital I don't know what I am doing

I love how many small moments there are in the show where Charles and Edwin just look at each other to check in with each other. As if their reaction only makes sense if it is mirrored by the other. It's in this kind of synchronicity and their seeking & giving of reassurance that we can really see that they have been together for over thirty years..

Well, he tried... he just wasn't prepared to handle a boss fight with a strong magic user.
Edwin Payne doesn't use physical violence but I still think he should get to punch someone in the face on Charles behalf

I'm curious...
Reblog to make the post go 'round and all that. Maybe explain in the tags or replies why you're using the theme you're using if you want.
And if you're not aware yet, you can change your theme in the Settings > Dashboard section.
For mobile that would be Settings > Account Settings > Color Palette, but with less options.

Today I want to talk about our Edwin Payne, George Rexstrew. The physical aspects of his performance regularly blow my mind. The posture. The way he walks. The way he twirls when he turns around. And then his hand gestures being so precise and so perfect for the character.
Then there's the absolute world of difference between flashback Edwin's movements and present day Edwin's movements. Flashback Edwin's movement is very closed off, protecting himself from everyone around him. But present Edwin's movement is so open and free and confident.

I remember when I first watched the show, I thought that the only explanation is that he was possessed by a gay Edwardian ghost. But no. It was George putting so much thought and care into every single detail of his performance. We're so lucky to have him as our Edwin. And I can't wait to see what he does next.

fic snippet (coffeeshop au)
Edwin was no longer going to the coffee shop for the coffee. He was unwilling to admit it to anyone yet, but he was going for Charles. Charles, who liked the same sorts of stories he did; Charles, who used odd, interesting-to-study phrases from a bygone decade; Charles, whose lips looked soft and hard at the same time, whose hair he wished to thread his hands through and –
“Oh, for goodness’ sake,” Edwin murmured to himself as he approached the front of the line. Such thoughts would not do today. He had a lecture in an hour.
He ordered his café au lait, paid, and moved to talk to Charles as he prepared it. “So, to continue our conversation from yesterday,” he said, “you are a fan of Holmes?”
“Just the BBC show,” Charles said, looking faintly embarrassed. Edwin wondered why.
“I have not seen it before,” Edwin told him.
“It’s on Hulu.”
“I do not have Hulu, but I am certain that my friend Niko will allow me to use hers.”
“Ah.” Charles spoke in too casual a voice as he poured the milk into Edwin’s coffee. “Girlfriend?”
“No,” Edwin said. “I am gay.”
“Oh, that’s sick,” Charles said. “I’m bi, so we’re, like, the same.”
The heavens opened. Birds sang. Edwin left the coffee shop feeling like the world was a place of wonderful glory and beautiful majesty.

I sometimes think we as a fandom need to acknowledge the fact a little more that we got a canonical "I love you" that was reciprocated immediately and without hesitation.
