ha, so yeah. this week was phenomenal with the plagiarism of three of my fics, anon hate, and now being FIRED. sorry in advance for the rambling

i literally just applied for a position at another location for the bakery yesterday. i am moving to my mom's residence in the next state over since my medical expenses have become so much and my mobility has diminished. but now i will have little to no finances to move and have no job lined up

the company is telling me i can appeal the decision after 30 days and be deemed able for rehire. i am trying to get in contact with the other store i applied to, to see if there's any way we can maybe move forward despite this. because it's retaliation from my direct management here, i would swear by it

but yeah, so i have to put myself into that weird, rent will be late because i moved out / broke my lease, stretch the prescriptions i have until further notice, still provide necessities for my cats, and move three hours away by the end of the month situation. my insurance was cancelled the second i signed the termination papers and my upcoming surgery will have to be cancelled

i'm just...feeling so lost and beat down. i really don't know what's even happening right now. i just....yeah. there is absolutely no pressure at all, i promise you, but i'll be linking my ko-fi in case anyone wants be kind enough to toss me a few dollars. but i love y'all so much anyway, truly.

the sheer support and outpouring of love in the wake of everything that happened this week has brought a smile to my face. i have so much love for y'all and this little community as a whole! droves of kind and loving people far outweigh the bad in my experience and for that i am grateful ♡♡

but i'll be taking a small break from being chronically online while i try and sort everything out as best i can (will still have access via mobile in at my new residence but need to get internet set up)

Before we call anon rude because let’s see it from their perspective, imagine getting an entire feast to eat. That can be pretty hard to start with so much that’s going on, but if they start with one thing they know they’ll like (aka one character they like) that can be the start for them leaping to other characters to finish the story and the bigger story. I struggle the same way to start book series if I don’t have at least one character that drives me to read it, it’s all about what can be the hook to push them through. Sounds like the anon is neurodivergent (just a guess) so they might genuinely not see it as rude and see it as a solution to even play the game to start with.

Btw absolutely adore the game, the complex and rich characters making them all so unique is amazing. The art is so pleasing to the eyes I love it!! I’m waiting for it all to get out at once so I don’t get too impatient. Shae however interests me the most, which routes will have the most lore for them? Will there be routes that give more lore in general based on decisions you make or do they all share the same amount? (I mean general lore not just Shae lore)

Apologies; we are not trying to accuse any asker of being rude! We are simply explaining our perspective as the developers / are trying to broadly encourage folks to dip their toes into other areas of the story outside of the main route(s) they're interested in, especially considering some routes will be made available sooner than others, and these other routes will likely contain additional scenes/lore of everyone's fave(s) regardless! We want to give each main cast member an equal amount of love (and lore) regardless of their overall popularity, so our goal is not to tut-tut anyone for having strong preferences for one character over the others, but rather to explain that you may be surprised by how much *more* you learn about your preferred characters in the other routes. That's all!

For Shae... Well, they were a foot soldier for one of the worst periods of the War. Lore wise, any other story that touches on the War will likely have content relevant to them and their experiences. ^^

We left Loyalty's Meander at the same time our last guests did. Apparently, the horrible murder-cult vibes weren't enough to deter them, so now we have allies! That's nice, I guess.

Blackthorn learned to walk while we were road-tripping and I couldn't get this scene from Ice Age out of my head while I was trying to draw it so you just get the scene instead.

Thanks to the vehicle mod, it only took us eight days to get here, so here we are! I can't wait to see the ship!

There must be a dev on the team that wants to make players hate using Zayne. It's the only explanation why on the no stellactum boost levels, he keeps getting enemies that jump around to different sides of the map, when he's the only one who doesn't have an ability to pull or group up enemies in any of his kits🙃

I think from now on I'll be playing Fromsoft games online because...I missed so much stuff that I only ended up finding thanks to player messages. I couldn't get into the ruins of Unte my first playthrough and I literally just followed the trail of messages telling me every individual step to take.

I would never think to burn the dead Furnace Golem nor realize that there's a ritual with the stone sword there or that there is a small area where you can fight the golem with relative ease.

Most of my favourite areas came from looking at a wiki but like...if I just played online, there would be so many vague and weird comments helping me find my way.

I know I've been reblogging some generally negative takes on Astarion (that I do agree with), but I also want to take a pause and point out that I actually do like him. Quite a lot, actually! He might be one of my favorite characters in media right now.

But so is is Karlach. And so is Lae'zel. And Gale, and Wyll, and Shadowheart, and Jaheira. I really do love them all, and I think the pedestal Astarion's been placed on not only does a disservice to the other characters by stealing some of their spotlight, but also to his own character by singling him out when he, like all the characters, works best in the group.
