Crowley, the Snake of Ithaca when he was just… Bildad from Ithaca 🐐 He stole one (1) goat from all his different neighbors so that they'd think it would have been eaten by wolves (if only one is missing is not such a big deal, right?), and it worked! He ended up having one of the biggest herds of goats for free. Athena was like… damn bitch, that was smart. Blessed 👌✨

The sanctuary of their room was both comforting and restricting.

Rich found they could be themselves when they were away from all the prying eyes, (aside from God, of course). When they were alone, especially in their room, this was the closest he got to seeing the real version of Jake Dillinger. Jake didn't need to put on an act when it was just them.

But it was only in these moments of privacy that they got to be true to themselves.

"Do you think..." Rich started slowly, tracing shapes on Jake's chest. The question sat on the tip of his tongue. It was always risky bringing this topic up. He knew how Jake felt about it- the answer was always no.

The way Jake's hand froze in his hair, Rich could tell he knew what he was going to ask.

Rich sighed. "Even if it's just Christine-"

He shifted as Jake got up, Rich rolled onto his side.

"Come on, it's not like she'll go around and tell everyone about us."

Jake: "You don't know what."

Rich: "Uh- yeah, I think I do. Jake, she's your sister for Christ's sake."

Jake: "I don't want to tell her."

Rich: "Why not?"

Jake: "Why- fucking why? Because it's not safe."

Rich: "She's the safest person we could even think of telling."

Rich stood up and walked over to Jake, taking his hands. "The world isn't going to fall apart if we tell her..."

Jake was quiet for a moment, avoiding Rich's eyes as he held his hands tightly. He was bloody terrified of how he felt. Everything about this terrified him. Rich had a point, he was being ridiculous. Christine was the safest person they could confess to.

But he was terrified that she would turn on him. He was terrified he would lose the one other person he could rely on. He was terrified he would lose her.

The only thing that felt right, the only thing that felt truly safe was Rich. Being alone in their room, their lips pressed together, feeling Rich's hands hold him close.

He didn't want to talk about this anymore, this wasn't a conversation he ever wanted to have. He didn't want to think about it anymore.

"Jake...?" Rich asked softly. "It's going to be okay, she's not going to tell anyone..."

Jake didn't reply. Instead, he pressed his lips against Rich's. This wasn't going to stop Rich from thinking about it, this wasn't going to be the last time Rich would ask about it, this wasn't going to change anything. If he was being honest, this was probably more of a distraction for him than it was for Rich. If he could just focus on the feeling of Rich rather than the ever present feeling of fear and guilt, that would be nice for a while.

The way Rich gave into the kiss and snaked his hands to Jake's hips told him that he was going to get his momentary distraction.

The Museum

Gee, coming up with things for this was not unlike coming up with adventures for the Sorcerer’s Quest--brain farts galore! But I managed to come up with some stuff. I’ve got references to official MOTU canons, but I’m mainly doing my own thing because Trolla is free real estate for the most part. 

Okay, here we go. 

IRL you’d want a parent to be a chaperone, but Orko’s a Certified Good Boy, Montork trusts him to help keep an eye on children. 

Starting off by defining the Mage Emblems, because I’ve been looking for an excuse to do so in-story. Heck, this whole thing is an excuse for more Trolla worldbuilding, haha.

Doing a bit of exploring and seeing some prominent figures in Trolla’s history that I had fun coming up with (or rebranding into something else, i.e. Blim from the She-Ra episode ‘The Greatest Magic’ now being practically Santa Claus). 

And I’m skipping Dr. Seagg’s presentation because most of the artifacts he talks about aren’t really relevant to this tale, I will say he mentions belongings of the Ringbearers, and at some point, the Horn of Evil comes up. 

“Oh, he drives his sister up a wall, but he hasn’t done any property damage.”

Anyway, let’s go back to exploring this museum:

Considering that Ringbearers are extremely rare and Destroying Angels pop up at least once a generation, somebody had to keep them busy so that less innocents are killed in a rampage. DAs are extremely difficult to kill, you either need a Ringbearer or a Storm Spell cast by the Overlords (which was mentioned in an earlier post where one of Orko’s neighbors recounts the last Destroying Angel rampage), and the latter takes a bit of time to charge.

Anyway, I admit to being a little nervous touching on Eternia. With it being the main setting of MOTU, I’m trying to strike a balance between being faithful to certain key factors and tones and stuff, but also putting my own little spin on it. 

It is kind of funny to have this story set on Trolla and portray Eternia as the mysterious world the Trollans wonder about from time to time. In this AU, Trolla’s been cut off since the Ultimate Battleground, so they have no idea what current Eternia is like.  

Orko can ask the questions when he ends up on Eternia. 

Also, say ‘Hi’ to Adam! 

I know that’s not what He-Ro’s staff looks like... I couldn’t figure out how to draw it. TT_TT
