Thanks to the internet, and the prolific careers of Leonard Dreyfus and his siblings, Mac was able to dive even deeper into their family history. It turned out Leonard was part of a successful brood, and soon enough Mac was reading about his famous elder brother Desmond - the first man on the moon - and his younger sister Violet, the hollywood starlet. It was simply amazing - how had so many notable people come from the one family?
The enduring Lenny and the Rollers community of fans had mapped out the entirety of Leonard's family and background, and wikipedia provided Mac with all of their names. Leonard was born in England to parents Alexander and Margot, but grew up in the suburbs of Del Sol Valley in a neighbourhood that was now highly gentrified and revered. And the internet sleuths had pinpointed the exact home.
Mac found themselves out the front of an indimidating retro-modern home, hoping that this in fact was the house that Leonard Dreyfus and his siblings had grown up in. Steeling themselves for the awkward conversation with its new inhabitants, Mac walked up to the front door and knocked.
When they had explained their expedition to uncover their relations to the homes famous pre-occupants, the new owners were more than happy to invite Mac inside. The house was incredibly chic, tastefully refurbished in the intervening years, and its occupants a successfuly power couple.
Walking outside, Mac noticed the rose bush in the yard, perfectly maintained and manicured. They pulled out the photograph they had printed out of the Dreyfus family and held it up, noticing the similarities. This was it - this was the house that they had grown up in. Mac was chuffed that their investigation had brought them here - that they had been right at every step so far.

D.U.D.E Bios: Saraid Grady-Sullivan / Sara Lucifarian (2021)
The Wrathful Imp Sara Lucifarian
Same pic as Sara hasn't changed much.
The seventh of the seven, the fireball of a young lady, Sara Lucifarian. Sara isn't particularly smart, wise, cunning, tactful, any of that, but she has what the others lack, pure rage that can be released at a moment's notice. If Damien were honest he'd probably say that Sara even scares him, but Damien would never admit such a thing, rather he has taken to locking Sara in a cage whenever she fights or locking her outside of buildings for street fights so that her rage may never be directed at him.
"Dare you to."

ETA2: Someone on Twitter showed me a list of of Marvel’s Emmy submissions. TFATWS was submitted as a drama series, not limited series which I don’t understand. Maybe to avoid competition with WandaVision? But I think that is why Mackie didn’t get it either because lead actor in a drama is a tougher category than lead actor in a limited/mini series.
Cle Bennett, Daniel Bruhl, Desmond Chiam, Carl Lumbly, Danny Ramirez, Wyatt Russell and Georges St Pierre were all submitted as “best supporting actor in a drama series.” And I think that is too many. I don’t really know how these things work but I would’ve just submitted Russell and Lumbly. Bruhl has name recognition but he didn’t do a lot of drama acting.
Anyway, Don Cheadle was the only one submitted as guest actor and Julia Louis-Dreyfus was the only guest actress.
You can see here.
Carl Lumbly should've gotten a guest actor Emmy nomination. I love Don Cheadle but he didn't do as much.
ETA: Slight update on this. Apparently he was credited as a supporting actor not guest actor so he could not have gotten Don Cheadle's nomination.
But why are three dudes from Hamilton nominated and not Carl? I mean, they were great but the actual movie wasn't a great adaptation or anything.
I'm concerned Marvel didn't submit him because I don't see his name listed on awards odds making pages. (I do see Randall Park as Jimmy Woo though.)

AN OPEN LETTER TO RADIOHEAD
London, April 24th 2017
Dear Thom Yorke, Jonny Greenwood, Colin Greenwood, Ed O’Brien and Philip Selway,
You’re listed to play Tel Aviv in July this year.
We’d like to ask you to think again – because by playing in Israel you’ll be playing in a state where, UN rapporteurs say, ‘a system of apartheid has been imposed on the Palestinian people’.
We understand you’ve been approached already by Palestinian campaigners. They’ve asked you to respect their call for a cultural boycott of Israel, and you’ve turned them down. Since Radiohead campaigns for freedom for the Tibetans, we’re wondering why you’d turn down a request to stand up for another people under foreign occupation. And since Radiohead fronted a gig for the 50th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, we’re wondering why you’d ignore a call to stand against the denial of those rights when it comes to the Palestinians.
Radiohead once issued a statement saying: ‘Without the work of organisations like Amnesty International, the Universal Declaration would be mere rhetoric’. You’ve clearly read Amnesty’s reports, so you’ll know that Israel denies freedom to the Palestinians under occupation, who can’t live where they want, can’t travel as they please, who get detained (and often tortured) without charge or trial, and can’t even use Facebook without surveillance, censorship and arrest.
In asking you not to perform in Israel, Palestinians have appealed to you to take one small step to help pressure Israel to end its violation of basic rights and international law. Surely if making a stand against the politics of division, of discrimination and of hate means anything at all, it means standing against it everywhere – and that has to include what happens to Palestinians every day. Otherwise the rest is, to use your words, ‘mere rhetoric’.
You may think that sharing the bill with Israeli musicians Dudu Tassa & the Kuwaitis, who play Jewish-Arabic music, will make everything OK. It won’t, any more than ‘mixed’ performances in South Africa brought closer the end of the apartheid regime. Please do what artists did in South Africa’s era of oppression: stay away, until apartheid is over.
Yours,

[SF] [MF] Dreamscape, the first entries
This story is inspired by my favorite show, Dream Corp LLC. It takes place in the same universe. I am mainly writing this for fun and it will be a series of journal entries. This is the forward and set up for future entires. It is incomplete and I just want some feedback. Please go easy on me. Otherwise, I hope y'all like it!
This is my first real shot at carrying out these sessions on my own. So pardon any disorganization and missing facts in these notes. I do my best to be diligent with my note-taking during dream sessions. A lot happens in a short period of time and it is still currently illegal to release any video/audio recording.
My name is Dr. Desmond Dreyfus, LPC, LAT, and LDT. For those of you who do not know, “LDT” stands for: “Licensed Dream Therapist”. The government approved the practice of dream therapy using a combination of experimental virtual reality technology and sedative drugs after many years of research. So far there are only a couple of firms in existence that can legally practice this type of psychotherapy.
After working for the first dream therapy firm in existence for twenty years, I finally received my credentials as an LDT. This allows me to break away and administer treatment using my own methods.
These entries will highlight the main problems patients are dealing with when they arrive at my firm, administration of the dream technology, the exploration of their subconscious, and the result of the session.
Patients are hooked up to the machine using a brain net and VR cameras. This allows us to view the patients subconscious on our projectors. Following setup, they are sedated using a small dose of ketamine. This allows the patient to enter a dream-like state before they are calibrated in the dreamscape.
We are able to speak to patients through an intercom system and try to guide them towards the parts of their subconscious that they need to confront. This varies by patient and circumstance. The only other interaction with the patient that occurs while they are under is with a cybernetic implant. This implant is a USB plug that sticks out of my forearms and wired to my own brain. I plug into the same mainframe that the patient is hooked up to and I am able to enter the dreamscape alongside the patient in their subconscious. I am one of two doctors that currently possess this technology. It is new and risky to use.
The main goal of these sessions is to break through mental barriers that normal talk therapy cannot accomplish, and present a new perspective on life that patients would not otherwise have seen on their own.
Dream technology is still very new, and a lot of trial and error occurs. I will do my best to keep a professional environment and the patients safe.
And to whoever is reading this, I hope you get as close to the same experience reading these entries as I did performing the treatment. It may be funny, sad, shocking and boring. Whatever your reaction may be, try and continue your life with a little more self-reflection.
Entry 1: Patient 7, Night Terrors
Patient 7 was among my first subjects when my practice opened its doors. He was experiencing night terrors and was unable to fall asleep for months. After screening Patient 7 we gathered that his night terrors were due to the loss of his mother. She had committed suicide last year and was unable to move past his grief.
We went through a few sessions of talk therapy to make him comfortable with us observing his thoughts with our tech. This took place over the course of two weeks, three sessions per week.
On the day of the dream session, we went through the standard procedure of hooking him up to the machine and began the sedation process.
My assistants sedated the patient and began the calibration process. We are still getting familiar with the full potential of this technology. The results of these early tests were unpredictable, especially with finding the root cause of nightmares.
I spoke to my tech operator during calibration and told him to stay on his feet in case the patient needs to be extracted early. Exposing people's worst nightmares on screen can lead to exacerbating the trauma.
The process of extracting the patient from our reality and planting them into the dreamscape is remarkable. The patient falls asleep in the same fashion as anesthetics. On the screen through the POV cameras, you can see their vision dissolve like tiny two-dimensional leaves blowing in the wind. They no longer see the room they are in and they enter a large open landscape that looks like it is made of dark blue glass. Small purple lines pulse with energy in geometrical patterns throughout the endless horizon. TRON is about the closest movie that compares to this universe. I do not know if this is what our subconscious truly looks like or if it is just the illusion that is painted by our tech. We will learn more as we go along with these sessions.
Calibration takes place with an NPC sign spinner. The patient needs to focus on the sign and imagine the sign spinning in their mind. It creates a hypnotic effect and helps us reach the depths of their subconscious. I am not sure why this is programmed into our tech. It must have been a gag by the software and hardware engineers. I hate those guys.
Following calibration, our screen became distorted, and we could not see the images very well. A female figure appeared in front of the patient from the POV cameras but we could not make out who it was through the distortion and blurriness. Even though the screen was blurry, something seemed off about the woman’s face
I asked the tech guy if the face on the screen looked strange. He noticed how off the woman’s face seemed and re-rendered the POV cams.
The screen reloaded and the face was still heavily distorted. As a matter of fact, it looked destroyed. Caved in like a smashed watermelon.
“Oh my god, that IS her face.” The tech commented.
Patient 7’s nightmares began with a vivid image of his mother standing in front of him. After his mother committed suicide, he needed to identify the body when the police found her. She suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head and it destroyed most of her face in the process.
I tried to keep the situation intact. I asked through the intercoms: “Who is this to you patient 7?”
Patient 7 began to cry hysterically in the dreamscape and his body convulsed in the main chamber. I told the tech to hold off on pulling the patient out, but to be ready to do it on my command. This was our chance to reconcile a deep-seated fear. I went into the main chamber to plug in.
I hooked the USB plugs to the cybernetic implants in my forearms and connected to the mainframe. I then entered the dreamscape with Patient 7. He was screaming hysterically and the confrontation with his dead mother continued. I yelled out to him, “Patient 7! This is your mother, is it not?”
To be continued...

Dear Eleanor
I'm so happy for you and your little family! What a wonderful new addition.
I have some wonderful news to share with you too. I'm married! I am now Mrs Lionel Fontenot. Oh, it was such a whirlwind romance - we met on set of my new television show and he just swept me off my feet. I figured why wait when you find the right man!
Please do not be offended that I did not invite you to the ceremony. It was a very short and fast engagement and the wedding was quite intimate - gosh, I think some may have thought it was a shotgun wedding, if I'm truly honest, though it definitely was not! I think Mom is happy though, now we're both married! She can rest easy.
I do have some sad news as well, though. I know you don't have a television so you probably didn't see the news, but our dear Uncle Desmond has passed away. It has been some time since Aunt Trudy died, and he was definitely lonely. He will be remembered as a great man in history.
Your sister, Daphne.

D.U.D.E Bios: Saraid Grady-Sullivan / Sara Lucifarian
The Wrathful Imp Sara Lucifarian (2020)
The seventh of the seven, the fireball of a young lady, Sara Lucifarian. Sara isn't particularly smart, wise, cunning, tactful, any of that, but she has what the others lack, pure rage that can be released at a moment's notice. If Damien were honest he'd probably say that Sara even scares him, but Damien would never admit such a thing, rather he has taken to locking Sara in a cage whenever she fights or locking her outside of buildings for street fights so that her rage may never be directed at him.

Eleanor attended the small and private funeral for her father with her aunt Stella. It was a terribly sad affair - all of her aunts and uncle were there, shocked that their brother had passed so suddenly. Though news had spread far and wide through the media of his death, the family had wanted to keep his farewell to themselves.
The funeral meant that Eleanor would see her mother and twin sister for the first time since she had run away from home. She had anticipated it might be awaked, to see them in these circumstances, but she was so sad about her fathers passing that she had hoped they would perhaps reconcile in grief. It made her hurt and sad, though, when her grieving mother walked straight past her and refused to speak with her.
Daphne however was not so cold. She approached Eleanor and apologised for their mothers behaviour.
‘She is in quite a state, really. I don’t want you to feel bad, but I think she has convinced herself that your leaving caused Daddy too much stress and impacted his health. Don’t worry though, I know that’s not true. We all saw how he liked to live.’
Eleanor was glad to see and speak with her sister again. She told her that she and Gary had secretly married, and that they were expecting a baby. Daphne smiled at her and congratulated them.
‘I know we haven’t always been the same, Eleanor, but I do miss you being here. Could we perhaps write to each other, keep each other updated on our lives? I don’t want you to be gone for good.’
Eleanor liked that idea very much, and the sisters were finally able to reconcile their differences at their fathers graveside.

Margot Dreyfus was buried in the cemetery next to her husband, Alex. Her children and their families attended her funeral and mourned their dearly beloved matriarch.
After the funeral the discussion turned to how the family should deal with their parents affairs. Maggie had been living in the family home still, with Stella there to look after her. It was a big house, and nobody really felt like moving into it.
'I don't want to move back to the suburbs. What about your family, Des?' said Violet.
'Oasis Springs is our home now. It would be too far for us to come back here. The children are settled and have friends,' said Desmond.
'I don't want to move back here - Buddy and I are happy finally, and it would confuse him if we came back and lived in this house without Mom,' sighed Pearl.
Leo felt sad, thinking of the empty family home he had always known. 'I don't think Valerie would want to move here,' he conceded.
The Dreyfus siblings all conceded that the house should probably be sold - but forgot to ask what Stella thought. Always left out of the conversation due to being younger than the others, her opinion hadn’t been sought. Where would she go if they sold their parents house?

Leo had been pondering for days on whether he could see himself marrying Valerie. He felt at odds with himself - marriage, family life, it wasn't ever on the cards for him. It didn't align with his rockstar lifestyle, or who he saw himself as.
In the depths of his dilemma, Leo took a roadtrip to Oasis Springs to see the one man he knew he could ask these questions - his big brother Desmond.
Leo played with his little niece Beth and found himself enjoying himself in Desi's quaint little family home filled with love. Desmond watched on with his brother and child and smiled - Leo, he knew him best. He had crafted his persona as a musician and a rockstar with a cool exterior, but he was still his little brother who needed reassurance and guidance in life.
Leo confided in his brother his hesitations with getting married. But Desi reassured him that he had so much to gain. 'You don't have to move to the suburbs,' he teased. 'You'll do it your way, Leo. If you love this girl, and you want to be with her, then just pop the question. She clearly loves you too. You've got nothing to lose, and a whole lot to gain.'
Leo watched the way his brother played with his daughter, saw how happy he was, and thought perhaps... he would like that too.

In Memory of Margot Ruth
Rest in Peace Margot Ruth, heir to the 1950s of the Langston Legacy.
Maggie was probably my most favourite sim in this Legacy since Daisy. Born while her parents were away serving in WW2, she was raised by her grandmother Ruth on the family farm. She had a troubled childhood and a difficult relationship with her mother and father. She married her childhood friend Alex and created a big, happy family of her own. Maggie made mistakes in her life, but she was always there for her family through the good times and the bad.
In her lifetime Maggie maximised her Cooking, Gourmet Cooking, Piano and Parenting skills, and achieved her lifetime want of Big Happy Family.
She is survived by her children Desmond, Leonard, Violet, Pearl and Stella, and her grandchildren Buddy, Bethany, Jeffrey, Eleanor and Daphne.
