Welcome to my newest AU: Lost but everyone who ever stepped foot on the island has some type of usable magic power from that moment on. Rules for this is every power has a drawback and it only activates at a critical moment to their character arc. Here's what powers I assigned them:
Jack Shephard: Can heal people using his own life force. He can only give up to 50% of his own life force to do this, if the injury can't be healed by that, he can't save a person. Jack's power doesn't activate until way into Season 6 because he didn't have faith in the island.
Kate Austen: Has the same power as Blake Belladonna in RWBY. Both are characters who are established as people on the run because of their past. Their powers reflect that. Whenever Kate is attacked, if she reacts fast enough, she can leave behind a shadow of herself to take the hit for her.
James "Sawyer" Ford: The angrier he gets, the more damage his punches do. On the other hand, if he gets genuinely sad and devastated, his physical abilities are significantly stunted and damage is almost non-existent.
Charlie Pace: Can focus on a person and play or sing a song that reflects their true nature. This can be used to gather information about them. He can only do this once per person.
Claire Littleton: She can sense danger, even when there otherwise isn't any indication of it.
Hugo "Hurley" Reyes: Can speak to the dead. Activates off-island.
Sun-Hwa Kwon: Can accelerate the growth of plants and the natural healing process of animals and people. She has to know and understand the species to do this.
Jin-Soo Kwon: Can communicate with the ocean to go with the "son of a fisherman" theme. If his head is underwater the ocean tries to kill him tho.
John Locke: Is the only one who doesn't have a power. He's like Mirabel Madrigal. He's deeply important to the story but he has 0 magic. He himself and other characters throughout the story think that he does during varying points of time but it's always the MiB messing with him. He realizes this at the end. Can you tell I like angst yet?
Michael Dawson: Can create a magic shield using his own stamina. Shield disappears when his stamina runs out.
Walter "Walt" Lloyd: Astral Projection. Self-explanatory.
Vincent: Ages normally and can die of old age but is otherwise virtually indestructible. Usually animals don't get any powers but Vincent's was given to him by Jacob directly to assist the survivors.
Sayid Jarrah: Can burn a person with his touch when he wants to. Doing this inflicts an equal amount of emotional pain to him as the physical pain he causes. I like angst.
Shannon Rutherford: Can master any skill within 30 minutes if she puts her mind to it. Never figures this out because she has been told that she's useless all her life and believes it. Only uses this once when she translates French but thinks those are lucky guesses.
Boone Carlyle: Blood-bending. Mostly gave this to him because everytime he angrily stares at someone you can tell that his blood is boiling. Never uses this once during his lifetime though.
Rose Henderson Nadler & Bernard Nadler: Have a soul link with one another. They can always tell how the other is feeling and neither of them can die while the other still lives as long as they're on good terms. Virtually indestructible unless you kill them at the exact same time but why the fuck would you.
Ana Lucia Cortez: Pyromancy. Fits her vibe. Also bound to stamina.
Elizabeth "Libby" Smith: Can read people's emotions.
Mr. Eko: Precognition. Can tell what he needs to do when and can anticipate things a couple seconds before they happen.
Benjamin Linus: Everytime he lies (to convince someone of his lie, sarcasm not included), it slightly alters reality in an unexpected way to make his lie appear like the truth. This is how Anthony Cooper gets to the island after Ben tells John about the magic box. The result of his lies is always unexpected and can backfire. He can't make something specific happen intentionally. His power activated during the purge.
Juliet Burke: Ice-bending. This has nothing to do with her character but I've previously seen Elizabeth Mitchell in Once Upon A Time and The Santa Clause and both times she plays a character that has something to do with winter. Also bound to stamina.
Ethan Rom: Superhuman strength. Self-explanatory. It actually takes multiple shots from 6 guns to take him down in this AU.
Harper Stanhope: Can see people's time of death over their head. Was very confused that Juliet's said 1977 and Ben's was way past his normal life expectancy.
Goodwin Stanhope: Idk what his power is but it's certainly not danger sense. 💀
Roger Linus: Can sense fear. Terrible power for a terrible man. I love Ben, I promise. I also love angst tho. The moment Ben killed him was the only time he didn't sense any fear from him, which scared the shit out of him.
Desmond David Hume: Activates his power after the events of "The Constant". Can see glimpses of people's past and future upon touching them. Can only do this once per person.
Frank Lapidus: Always lands safe. Literally always lands on his feet like a cat. Also applies to planes / helicopters he flies.
Charlotte Staples Lewis: Can speak any language after hearing it spoken once. Growing up with this was very confusing off-island.
Miles Straume: Reading the final thoughts of the dead. Self-explanatory.
Daniel Faraday: Stopping time for up to an hour. After using this power, he can't use it for 24 times the amount of time he stopped time for. Only can use it in present time.
Illana Verdansky: Able to tell when people lie.
Danielle Rousseau: Her bullet or arrow always hits the target unless the target specifically blocks it.
Alexandra Rousseau: Can make herself invisible. Used for stealth.
Karl Martin: Can accelerate his speed. Bound to stamina.
Mikhail Bakunin: Telepathy.
Eloise Hawking: Chain Reaction. Once a day for 5 minutes she can see the effects of every action of hers she thinks about.
Charles Widmore: Can take a glimpse at people's destiny. Only can do this once per person.
Richard Alpert: Can't be killed by anything ever. Can't even die of natural causes. Can't die.

Unpleasant Coincidence
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/7d9c197cbb81e20cd090f43e939fdf12/0fa6510ce17cb7ce-16/s250x250_c1/6857d877f8f0950dd1fa70db30e43672f9d2a28a.jpg)
I've noticed an unpleasant coincidence on ABC's "LOST".
The series' showrunners, Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse never gave Michael Dawson the opportunity to reconcile with his son, Walt Lloyd . . . at least on screen. The epilogue, "The New Man in Charge" hinted that Walt had returned to the island to help his dad, who had become an island ghost, move on.
Also, Lindelof and Cuse never allowed Jin and Sun Kwon to reunite with their young daughter, Ji-Yeon. Yes, Sun had spent the first two years of Ji-Yeon's life with her daughter. But she was not given the opportunity to return to South Korea with her husband and Ji-Yeon's dad. And Jin never met his daughter. The coincidence? Both sets of parents were people of color. And none of them were given the chance to end the series with their children.
Meanwhile . . . Desmond Hume, who was last seen on the island, was probably assisted off the island by the new protector Hurley Reyes, enabling him to reunite with his wife Penny Widmore and son Charlie Hume. And Claire Littleton was given the opportunity to reunite with her son Aaron Littleton after three years. What did Desmond, Penelope and Claire have in common? All three were white.
I guess allowing white parents to reconcile or reunite with their children were a lot more important to Lindelof and Cuse than the non-white parents.

heres my lost sequel pitch,
Aaron, Ji-yeon are summoned or taken to the island by Hurley Ben and Walt. They are joined by the other children with connections to the island. Charlie Hume, Clementine, David Shephard (because he didn’t just come from nowhere, Kate was pregnant when she left the island) They help solve some mysteries of the island, gaps in knowledge not passed down from Jacob. More Ancient Egyptian lore, I also propose some Romans. There are still at least 2 unnamed Dharma stations, and the arrow could still be expanded on. It ends with Hurley and Ben retiring, Walt taking over, And it eventually passing to Aaron. The child born on the island. Walt is the main character and Micheal is properly redeemed.
The antagonist is of course, the ever votile Island. and a Billionaire who wants to exploit the island so they can be a trillionaire and they don’t care who they have to do to achieve that.
Other notes:
Smaller tighter cast. 15-20 episodes. For continuity, they should film in hawaii.
Actors from the original show are not required to come back, the exception is Jorge, and Emerson. Walt could be recast, but It would be lovely to see Malcolm David Kelly back in the role and fully explore Walt. But it gives the option for dead characters to come back as ghosts. I actually think not seeing Kate, Claire and Sawyer could keep their stories complete and safe. They could be mentioned off screen
Desmond goes go home back to Penny, hopefully the island is done with him, but the island isnt done with Charlie Hume. As the grandson of Charles Widmore he really is a legacy islander. Charlie and Aaron would clash over the leadership of the island.
Zack and Emma from the tail section finally get to go home to their mom. This has nothing to do with the story, but Cindy the flight attendant needs to reveal that at least.
They finally tell us who was shooting at the time traveling Losties on the Outrigger.
Bring some of the writers from Westworld over
Lean a bit more into the weird
Richard and Miles live together in a mansion off island. They can rest.
Kate and Sawyer have a weird relationship where they are together but not, because the other will never replace the ones they lost, but there is still love, and companionship.
Kate and Claire raised Aaron together, he calls them his moms. Maybe they get married.
Ji-Yeon gets closure about her parents, I think growing up she would have been very sheltered from the idea of the island. Give her the arch that Charlotte deserved.
New characters! Flawed Characters!
Vincent is immortal because Hugo made it so.
Thanks for reading, ttyl, I accept critiques and additions. tmtmtmtm abc pay me

🤳🤯📝🎬
Lost ask found here!
🤳 What is your favorite behind the scenes clip/blooper?
I mentioned it in the last ask, but I haven’t watched any of the BTS or blooper reels because most of the time, they don’t have subtitles and I can’t understand most of what people are saying and it makes me angry, haha. I feel like I should look online and see if I can find bloopers with subtitles, though, because I feel like the bloopers AND behind the scenes clips would be amazing!
🤯 What do you think was the best plot twist?
Like, so many of them were good!! I absolutely loved the reveal of Henry Gale as the leader of the Others, and I loved the reveal of what was in the Hatch, and that John Locke was in the coffin at the end of season 4, but I gotta say, the best plot twist was the one that got me hooked on the whole dang show, which was the polar bear on the island. Like my brain was boggled. “Where are we?” Charlie asks. “WHERE ARE THEY?!?!?” I demanded to my mom, and then we hit play and watched the very next episode because I NEEDED TO KNOW.
📝 Pick a few characters and assign them superlatives (hoooo boi):
-Best Hair: James “Sawyer” Ford and Sayid Jarrah (I love his curls okay); be very hilarious if John Locke won this superlative though
-Biggest Celebrity Lookalike: Desmond Hume (he looks a LOT like David Tennent to me, okay?!)
-Most Likely to Show Up Late to Class with Starbucks: either Claire Littleton or Shannon Rutherford, I don’t know why, but that’s who comes to mind
-Most Likely to Break (Into) the Bank: Kate Austen. 😂 Sorry. Couldn’t help myself. Though I suspect in all reality, it would be either Sawyer or Hurley (that lottery ticket!!!)
-Most Gullible: John Locke (is it mean? a little. is it accurate? yes. poor guy)
🎬 If there had to be a spinoff/sequel/reboot, what would you want the most?
I legit think it would be adorable to see a spinoff about Hurley and Ben (and eventually Walt) dismantling the DHARMA Initiative if only so I could see Hurley take care of Ben and introduce him to pop culture and also heal all that shit the poor guy’s gone through by showing that he is cared about. But I also love Ben, so I’m very biased.
I would also love to know what happens to Aaron in the end. Like, does he ever go back to the Island? He was born there—what if he has a connection to it and it calls to him in his dreams or something? He has visions of people who died there, kinda like Hurley, maybe, and even though he shouldn’t remember it (he was just a baby!!!)? He has vivid memories of events that happen and he’s gotta figure out why. That’d be fun.
This is so much fun!!! Thanks for asking!!

Rewatching LOST
And there were quite a few kids born in this show. It would have been cool if there was a sequel reboot/next generation thing. First, let's figure out how old everyone will be in 2024:
Megan Pace: born 2000 (24)
Clementine Phillips: born 2001 or 2002 (22/23)
Julian Carlson: born spring 2002 (22)
Aaron Littleton: born October, 2004 (20)
Charlie Hume: born September, 2005 at the earliest (19)
Ji Yeon Kwon: born summer, 2005 (19)
(It is rumored/speculated that Kate is pregnant at the end of the series, so...)
David Austen: born 2007 (17)
Now for the adults:
Ben Linus: 58
James "Sawyer" Ford: 55
Desmond and Penelope Hume: mid-50s
Kate Austen: 47
Hugo "Hurley" Reyes: 49
Claire Littleton: 42
Rose and Bernard: 70s
Richard: 60s
Walt Lloyd: 30

Okay but I have to make yall understand the pipeline here is absolutely nuts
When I was 14 and watched lost for the first time I had such a huge crush on Desmond and I remember that was initially bc he reminded me of David
him being a sensitive emotionally intense slightly insane Scottish man
who also happened to have a scene where he dressed very similarly to the tenth doctor
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/6dff4e9290c9966ef27cfcf8e20c31ae/c3f27ffc3a928f0c-27/s540x810/83877976245c3e97c46d8fb715a0da582f650e4f.jpg)
But ohoho it gets BETTER
because NOW I realize- Desmond is basically a younger version of David’s Phileas Fogg. like. They both go on a journey around the world to win back their lost love and prove they aren’t cowards?! YOU CANNOT MAKE THIS UP
A song I really associate with Phileas is Dust and Ashes from Great Comet and I’d love to make an edit with it but I won’t bc you know why? I DID IT WITH DESMOND FIRST.
youtube
You wanna know the best part of all of this?
DAVID TENNANT AND HENRY IAN CUSICK WENT TO THE SAME DRAMA SCHOOL. LIKE FOUR YEARS APART TOO.
Thinking about how in an alternate universe David Tennant definitely played Desmond Hume in LOST
