my jekyll and hyde twins aged up :) literal emotions. eugene and scar are such good parents all of their skills were maxed. however ... ollie and scar have been nemesis since he was a toddler. i dont know what happened or why but its just growing more now that hes older. this house is a bit of a mess and we shall see why soon. freddy and scar centric but ollie being mean isnt helping. love him though

3.188 Tardy for the party

My stomach was screaming when I got home, chastising me for neglect. I always eat breakfast, but maybe it was too early today. The how or why didn't matter because I was quite ravenous and needed to get something in my stomach ASAP. But it was like 3:30 in the afternoon. Too late for lunch, but way too early for dinner. I wanted to have just a light snack and suck it up for a few more hours, but everyone else was hungry too, so I made dinner. I don't like feeding Desiree this early because she'll need something before bed, too. She's not mature enough to understand hunger is not the end of the world, and I don't want her thinking bedtime snacks are a thing.

Speaking of Desi, Sophia plopped her in the high chair and gave me a hard side eye as she walked past. I had just got home and had done nothing wrong that I know of, so I turned my attention to Desi. She had paint smeared all over her face and looked like she was late for a Spooky Day dance or something. I got closer and saw it wasn't paint at all. At least not in the literal sense. Honestly, it was cute and kinda funny, but I was much too confused and kind of concerned about how this happened to laugh.

"Uhhh... She got into your makeup?"

"She has her own makeup now," Sophia said sarcastically. "Be sure to thank Chi Chi for the gift."

How in the world did I miss that when I unboxed all the gifts? And why does a toddler need a makeup kit?? Her daughter was this young once, so why doesn't she know what a horrible idea this is? Thank goodness Desi put it on her face and not the walls.

She took advantage of our attention and began telling a story about what llamas eat in video games. How she even knew what a video game was, I have no idea, but the story was sure entertaining. Maybe Tami let her play games on her tablet when we were in El Ciudad. Sophia disregard her hunger and sat next to Desi, hanging onto her every word. I, too, love hearing her talk, but that didn't stop me from grabbing something to eat first. I grabbed a plate for Sophia too and put it in front of her.

Desi is learning about context clues and picking up words at light speed, and I love hearing how her mind works. Children at this age are such a wonder, and it's going by way too fast. In just two days, she'll evolve again, and as much as I want to see how she continues to grow, I kinda wish she'd stay right here a little longer because I'm honestly not ready to share her with the world yet.

i understand that tma is a podcast and no canon description or ethnicity has been given to literally anyone except a select few (select few being jude perry, adellard dekker, oliver banks, annabelle cane etc etc) whatsoever, but people who are particularly vocal about their dislike towards how jon has a very decided fanon interpretation and their dislike towards that jon interpretation, idk, they are very weird to me. you can headcanon jon or any character that does not have a canon race, anything you would like. you can headcanon jon as a blond white dude, you can do whatever you want! even though people will look at an art or interpretation of jon that isn't the fanon accepted south asian-british man with long-ish dark hair with graying streaks and they might say, "oh! i didn't even recognize him", it will be celebrated.

but it's very weird to see people genuinely being mad about it. the fanon interpretation of jon, of course, is that he is south asian-british, and people being mad about that just leaves a bad taste in mouth. we desi folks barely get any positive representation AT ALL, and it's very frustrating considering that we are literally everywhere. 1 in 5 people living in london are of south asian heritage and even with that number, we had no canon south asian character until sam came along. and i have seen people treat this headcanon with such nuance, they do their research and many try to incorporate different elements into his design as well. people complaining about it, insisting how they see jon as a white guy tm, it's just in poor taste. especially considering the fact that people who are vocal about it, their only alternative for jon is thinking of him as a white guy. i have seen several poc headcanons for jon that aren't just making him desi, i have seen a persian jon that i think about all of the time, i have seen a latino jon.
