Regresses from around age 4-7

Has a bad habit of pushing herself to stay big until she breaks down and regresses involuntarily 

On the Isle regressing would mean showing weakness and she could not afford to be seen as weak by anyone so she put a lot of effort into controlling her regression 

Once she was in Auradon she struggled to let her guard down and it took a lot for her to allow herself to regress when she needs it 

Her regression is something she is pretty insecure about. Her mother would hate her if she knew she was doing this and she struggles a lot to not feel like a failure for giving in to her regression. She knows things are different now and she knows her mother is gone and can never hurt her but that particular wound is going to take a long time to heal 

Incredibly energetic. Evie once joked that she might actually be more dexterous and coordinated while little than she is when big after chasing Mal around the room for almost an hour trying to get her to put on shoes 

She is a bit of a terror while little. She carries herself with the same confidence as big Mal and is extremely stubborn and opinionated. On the rare occasions where she is still and quiet it’s a very bad sign because it either means she is planning something or something has caused her to become very very afraid or upset 

Mal has a very hard time sleeping when little. Bedtime usually takes at least and hour or two of comfort, bargaining, and tantrums 

Because of how hard putting her to bed is, the VK’s have completely given up on trying to get her to nap. There were many attempts fueled by desperation and fleeting hope but none were successful

Mal has a hard time staying still and will squirm to be put down if she’s picked up. The exception is when Jay picks her up to spin her around or hang her upside down or toss her onto the bed while they are playing 

She loves bathtime so much but she does need a lot of supervision during it because if she isn’t watched constantly she will 100% end up flooding the dorm 

Mal is very active while little and loves to run around. She loves to roughhouse with Jay. It took a while for them both to learn the differences between play fighting and real fighting and even now the two of them have to be very careful not to hurt one another by accident

She also likes to play games where she hides and tries to sneak up on carlos

Mal is very creative and loves to do art projects! She makes a huge mess no matter which art supplies she is using but she is so excited and happy while doing them that the other VK’s can’t bring themselves to be too upset with her 

She loves fruit. Strawberries are her favorite but she also loves blueberries, oranges, watermelon, mango, blackberries, passion fruit and pomegranate. Not apples though. She doesn't trust them 

Messy eater most of the time unless Evie is the one watching her. She likes to make people proud of her and Evie gives her lots of praise when she has good table manners 

Ben won her one of those cheesy giant stuffed bears at a carnival once and now whenever little Mal gets sad or upset its the first object she turns to for comfort

Evie made Mal several sets of play clothes for when she’s regressed but its really 50/50 of weather or not she will wear them 

It was hard for her to tell the others about her regression and they actually didn’t know about it at all until just about a week after the coronation. It took even longer for her to tell Ben 

Ben and the other VK’s are her caregivers

Evie usually has to talk Mal down from being embarrassed after she’s back in her big headspace 

While she is little Ben calls her princess, and the VK’s call her little fairy. They have also entered a friendly competition where they try to call Mal a word for purple and a descriptor with the same first letter. Some highlights have been violet vagabond, Lavender lunatic, and hyperactive heliotrope 

Mal has discovered that when she is little she needs boundaries. However because of the other VKs experience with punishments back on the isle none of them are really willing to provide discipline. Because of this it falls to Ben to enforce rules and place her in time out if need be. He is very good at staying calm and being fair and it’s been good for Mal to see that boundaries can be places that don’t hurt or make her feel awful about herself

When Diana and her twin Jason was born after her, Jason was left to be disposed off in Amazon, only for him to disappear a second later.

Clockwork saw the possibility and took the freshly wet newborn swapping him with The Fenton's stillborn.

For what he saw in the possibility of the future was nearly endless as he did what he had to do.. for the best outcome to come forth..

A pebble here, a rocket ship toy there, an inch of furniture moved then so that incident doesn't happen, a poster paper on that tree. Minor tiny changes to help bring the visual to the present.

All leading to clockwork giving 19 year old sleep deprived danny an small yet important task to deliver a scroll in another dimension leading up to his body regressed in that dimension timeline the moment he slipped in and out the portal.

Diana knew she had a twin brother out there.. and she was going to find him.

What she didn't know that he was literally falling into her arms, when she and Superman went to check on the Glowing lararus pit portal made near metropolis.

Tiny little boy who look completely tired as he went unconscious holding a purple and green scroll in his hands, wearing clothes 3 times his size.

anyway. ben collects regressors in the form of VKs. all of them. starts with carlos, then obviously mal, then uma, then harry. it just keeps happening and he just has to accept it he is apparently the perfect cg

Yes I do! I haven’t interacted with the fandom in a few years but it used to be a major hyper fixation for me! Sorry if these aren’t the best I honestly haven’t watched the movies in a few years <3

- Carlos probably regresses to around 2-3

- he’s super clingy, especially to Evie (I mean you can’t tell me Evie wouldn’t just be the worlds best cg)

- sweetest little boy in the world, always smiling and blabbering to everyone he sees

- biggest sweet tooth ever. All sugar is kept out of reach.

- he gets supper talkative when he’s little

- he always wants to play wrestle with Jay, who is always super gentle because I mean, can you imagine what Evie would do if one of her babies was hurt?

- his big sister Mal (4 when she’s little) is super protective of him

- he loves physical affection and is always wanting to at least have his hand held

- gets a toy puppy who looks like Dude and brings it with him everywhere

- has more energy than anything in the world and is super hyperactive

Jay agere headcanons

Regresses pretty big. Usually around 7-10 years old 

Huge big brother energy whenever he regresses at the same time as any of the other VKs 

He sometimes struggles to realizes he’s regressing and for a long time he wasn’t even aware that's what was happening to him 

He mostly felt confused and a little embarrassed about his regression before learning that the rest of his friends regress too. Having that solidarity on the Isle, even if he didn't have the words for it yet, felt great 

Once they came to Auradon and learned what regression was he could confidently put a name to his feelings and there was a lot of relief in knowing that it was something that happened to other people and not just something strange or wrong with him  

Little Jay soaks up praise like a sponge and will do almost anything for a pat on the back or a “good job” from whoever is watching him 

While regressed Jay will occasionally have a bit of a stutter and tends to forget words 

He is a very upbeat and enthusiastic little 

Drums his hand on his legs, tables, walls, really anything within his reach when he’s excited 

He doesn’t typically nap; however, once when he was outside relaxing with the other VK’s on a very sunny day in the grass he couldn’t help but nod off. Evie took about 1000 pictures of him while he slept 

Jay is a very physical guy. When little he loves to have his hair ruffled or be given high fives or piggy back rides. Generally he just craves physical affection 

He loves to play games like tag or red light green light or hopscotch. Basically any game where he gets to run around

When he has the time he also likes to go walking down by the ocean and collect sea glass and other cool rocks and shells. Collecting things helps him manage his sticky fingers and keep him from swiping peoples things on instinct 

He does struggle not to steal much more while regressing. His impulse control is simply not there and the habit has been ingrained in him for so long since stealing was one of the only ways he could get his father's attention 

Jay loves getting to try new foods but his favorites have all been comfort foods that his dad used to make back on the Isle but was never able to get quite right due to the lack of fresh ingredients 

Jay can be a bit of a messy eater due to old habits from having to eat quickly on the isle but he’s working on it

Jay also has several lego sets that he and Carlos share which he loves to play with 

Carlos built him a fidget toy designed specifically for when Jay was having a hard time kicking his thief habits. Fiddling with it always soothes him and helps keeps his hands busy 

Jay told Ben about his regression after seeing how the young king responded to Carlos regressing. Jay wanted someone who was more regularly at tourney practice than Carlos to know and be able to pull him aside or help him out if he accidentally regressed on the field (which happened several times)

The VK’s take care of him but he usually feels he doesn’t need a caregiver and really is just happy to have people to keep him company and hang out/play games with  

He is a sucker for classic young man nicknames like kiddo and sport 

The other VK’s set up a star chart for Jay as a way for him to earn rewards for good behavior. He loves getting to put new stickers on the chart and always gets really excited when he’s earned enough to pick out a prize. It makes him feel very accomplished

Do you have any headcanons about the VKs (Disney's Descendants) finding out Mal is a regressor? I don't think she'd intend to be but she'd feel comfortable and safe around her gang. I also think eventually that'd extend to Ben but still ^^ I love them

yes yes yes i have thoughts on this ehehehe

so i believe that mal would not know at first that she regresses, this is something that evie actually figures out first. random research for fun, a psych class, someone else in their class (chad mayhaps?) regressing and it becomes a Thing to talk about, whatever the case may be, evie knows that regressing is a thing, and she notices some lil traits in mal

mal obviously denies it like crazy, she is NOT a regressor she does NOT act like a little kid or feel like one ever!!! (these are lies, evie knows this full and well, but she plays along)

eventually, the two of them get to a point of acceptance where mal admits that maybe sometimes she sort of kind of regresses just a lil bit. and evie takes care of her, helps her start to enjoy and make good use of her regression! it's nice to have a big sis!!

then they are just hanging out with jay and carlos in the boys' room for movies one night and mal feels small, she wants to cuddle, and evie doesn't try to hide it or anything. she knows that the boys will learn about it no matter what so they might as well just rip the band-aid off.

carlos is immediately curious about the whole thing, and he asks a million questions that are very overwhelming for a tiny mal. evie explains as best as she can to him, and she tucks that lil reaction of his away for Later. carlos also just wants to try to play with her, make her smile, get her to do silly dances with him, that sort of thing

jay is a bit more awkward about it at first, and he doesn't really know how to treat mal when she's small. he tries to ask her, tries to ask evie, but even still when they hang out and mal's small, jay is sort of the one interacting with her the least. at least, until he learns that mal just really likes his cuddles and his voice. she has to take the initiative at first, bringing books over to him and plopping down beside him to make him read to her, but after that it makes their relationship much more easy-going. (also jay gives her piggyback rides because she is CLEARLY too small to walk, carlos!)

and then yes of course i think ben attracts regressor VKs unknowingly and this cannot be stopped lol
