Okay, but what if, after graduation, all the students band together and create a gigantic contract that states that, after their deaths, their respective UMs are to be given to Malleus, so he'll never be alone?

The contract's paper received protection from Vil's Fairest One of All, so it's basically indestructible (it can only be broken after Malleus himself dies).

Future Malleus tries to use everyone's magic at least once per day.

It's a Deal, Off With Your Head, Bind the Heart and Split Card are very useful for his daily activities as a ruler, he uses Oasis Maker to water his garden and help in times of drought, I See You is mostly used to keep prized possessions in check and Sleep Kiss has saved plenty of people.

The more destructive abilities like King's Roar are mostly used in times of peril (or when he wants to be petty and dramatic), and the same goes for Bet the Limit. Shock the Heart, Laugh With Me and Snake Whisper are very useful for intel gathering or pranks.

He uses Unleash the Beast whenever he visits a colder climate or just wants to change forms without turning into a dragon (he becomes a black wolf with green eyes, very fluffy). Doodle Suit is often used to make food taste terrible (he misses Lillia, even his atrocious cooking), while Fairest One of All protects all gargoyles frim erosion.

Far Cry Cradle is used to reminisce fond memories, and he likes to use Meet Me in a Dream to visit Ortho, who is still alive. He LOVES dashing around with Living Bolt.

He can't exactly use Gate to The Underworld, since it's hereditary and troublesome, so Idia gave him an indestructible tablet with a custom gargoyle game and a "Idia Mode" (the tablet makes annoying remarks, like "GG Folks" or "This RNG really is awful").

And then, the leather-wearing and hot badass LARPing as a werewolf-- who has been bullying you non-stop for the past few days-- enters the room loudly proclaiming "Ferocious love blooms with each new Spring."

That is exactly how it happens in canon, and it makes me absolutely insane.

Man, genuinely there's little that excites me more than encountering queerness in fiction where I wasn't expecting it. I'm gonna be thinking about Kikuhiko/Yakumo from SGRS for so long.

Even setting aside the subtext of his feelings for Sukeroku, the narrative around his relationship to gender norms and his own expression is so fascinating. Guy who grows up steeped in rigid 40s gender roles and actively tries to enforce them, yet only truly feels like himself when he's acting on stage as a woman. Guy who says his life would have been better if he were born a woman and then refuses to elaborate.

The song "Red" almost perfectly fits both Rose and Ace, with one exception- both of the twins hate being called Red (the only person allowed to call either of them Red is Gil, and that's because his vision isn't great and he can't tell the difference between the red-haired members of the crew at a distance and he's kind of colourblind, but even he tries to call whichever twin he might be seeing Hearts because he knows they hate the nickname that much,) calling either one Red is the fastest way to kill yourself on the Isle.

I think the best way to resolve the "Naruhodo is Phoenix's ancestor but also asoryuu is real so ???" debate is to hypothesize that Naruhodo is Phoenix's ancestor but not directly. Maybe his sister had a kid and Naruhodo is Phoenix's great-great-great-uncle or something like that, where the family resemblance (and the lawyer genes[?]) would still carry through but Naruhodo did not have a child with a woman
