The room of the quint motel room was quiet, the only sounds filling the air were the combined breathing of you and Derek as you stared at the paint cracks in the ceiling. His finger was brushing up and down your arm from where his hand crawled up from beneath you, your hand drawing the faintest shapes on his bare chest as you tried to swallow a smile, the content that filled your body making your nerves vibrate with happiness.
It was Eli's idea to send the two of you away for a little romantic getaway once summer break rolled around, he was left in the loving and teenager-friendly hands of Melissa while the two of you booked into a motel upstate, closer to the forest, just like you preferred it. Your relationship had been developing far quicker than either of you expected and though you were happy with the little instant family you'd found, it was definitely good to have some alone time again, even just for a little while.
"Do you think Melissa is doing okay?" you pondered out loud, having spent a few too many minutes worrying about Eli being too much for her to handle, she might have survived a Scott, but surviving an Eli was a different story. "Like do you think we should call to check in?"
"I think she's fine," he breathed, the smile on his lips was a familiar one, one he couldn't control as easily as the others, it was because this family thing came so easily to you that it made his heart soar every time. "We can call him tomorrow if you want," he knew you would want to, knew that as new as being in Eli's life was to you, it was a role you filled perfectly.
"Sorry," you were shy in responding to that, shifting to lean onto his chest more, taking the sheet with you to create a layer between your bodies, cheeks warming and making you feel slightly silly as he raised a brow at you. "I just feel a little bad stealing his dad from him for so long," he cupped your cheek, always eager to have a hand on you in some way, basking in the look of bliss that you couldn't hide even if you tried.
"I'm sure he doesn't mind," he noted, thumb brushing a fallen lash from your cheekbone, humming when you leaned into the touch, a little hint of pride circling his stomach that you reacted to him so naturally. "As I know him, I don't think sending us away was just for our benefit alone," fair enough, you thought, he was a teenager after all. "Now why don't we stop worrying about things back home and enjoy our time together instead," his suggestion was paired with a soft smirk, far too little of a gesture to make your spine tingle as it did. "You tired yet?" you shook your head, but he could tell it wasn't completely true, your heartbeat gave you away.
"Maybe a little," your admission was followed by a small yawn, his eyes softening as you brought a hand up to cover it, never failing to look absolutely adorable doing the most mundane little things. "I don't want to go to sleep yet."
"That's risky," he teased, squeezing your waist gently, forcing you closer, practically moving you right on top of you as you rested your elbows on his chest to prop you up. "If you don't get enough sleep we risk having a grumpy girl in the morning."
"I think we should risk it," you replied quickly, stealing a quick kiss and smiling instantly when he smiled against your lips, not surprised when he stole a few more in return, pleased when you groaned lightly at him pulling away, head pushing back into the pillow to see you.
"You take many risks then, sweetheart?" he had a feeling that he knew what the answer would be, but he was eager to hear you say it even if he knew. You shook your head, raising a hand to his head, dragging your finger through his hair slowly, and thoughtfully, humming to yourself as you took him in.
"None," you admitted and you wanted to kiss him again he looked so sweet, so concentrated, taking in every word or lack thereof as he waited ever patiently for you to finish. "My biggest risk was saying yes when you asked me out," you explained with a smile, just the thought of everything the two of you'd faced since then was enough to make your heart skip around in your chest. "Dating an older guy with a kid and a reputation?" you shook your head in faux seriousness. "Risky business."
"You think it paid off?" his arms circling your body were answer enough, the sheet slipping away in the process leaving you chest to chest and earning yet another flash of heat in your cheeks.
"I'm not sure yet," you bit your lip to hide the smirk that begged to tilt into your face, managing the perfect look of innocence as you locked eyes with him.
"Oh?" he caught onto what you were doing right away, a smirk of his own on his lips as he flipped the two of you over, almost breaking when your giggles filled the room, hands grasping his shoulders as your eyes softened even more, if possible. "Guess I need to show you what I'm good for?"
"Again?"
"Well, trouble, you said you didn't want to sleep," your giggles grew louder as his lips brushed over your jawline, lowering in their well-known torturingly slow pace down your neck and taking a little detour across your shoulder blade, a sensation that tickled through your entire body. When he looks up with a devilish grin hidden behind the kindest and most loving eyes, you knew, though you'd never doubted it before, that the risk most definitely paid off.

I'm Not Yours
Derek Hale x Sarah McCall
Timeline: In S2E4, when Derek is training his betas, one of them tries to kiss him.
Derek's POV -
Isaac barrels towards me with a vicious look on his face. I stare at him, unfazed. Like that can scare me. He leaps at me but I push him out of the way effortlessly. Sure, the momentum makes it difficult, but not difficult enough.
Erica jumps at me from above and I toss her to the ground. She's no better. In fact, she's worse. Isaac at least has the mind to know that he isn't the best, but Erica is full of overconfidence. It's going to get her in trouble someday.
Boyd looks at from above, and cringes as both the betas fall to the ground. I know their bones are broken, they must be. Guilt creeps up my spine, but I shove it down. If I'm to teach them how to protect themselves, then they must sustain a few injuries.
"Does anyone wanna try not being completely predictable?" I ask with a frown.
It is then that Erica jumps at me. But she doesn't try to attack. Instead, she wraps her legs around my waist and presses her lips to mine. Eyes widening in shock, I push her away immediately.
"Don't ever do that again," I say, fury churning through my body. My eyes flash red and I see fear in hers, but I don't care.
I don't want to be kissed by anyone who isn't Sarah.
"Why?" She asks, scared, "Because I'm a Beta?"
"No." I say, "Because I'm Not Yours." I make sure to wipe my lips, just in case her lipstick has left a mark.
Isaac groans from beside her, uninterested in what just happened. "Are we done? I got about a hundred bones that need a few hours to heal."
I bend down in front of him and break his finger, "A hundred and one."
Isaac looks at me in shock and pain, and I hiss at him. "You think I'm teaching you to fight? Huh? Look at me! I'm teaching you how to survive! So if you don't wanna die, I suggest you take this seriously."
I stalk away from them and rush to my loft after putting my jacket on. I had promised to meet Sarah there, and I don't wanna be late. I don't want to miss even a single minute I have with her. Her brother thinks that it's just him who has to do a lot just to see his girlfriend, but he's wrong.
I have to do twice as much just to catch a glimpse of Sarah.
She waits at me at the loft, her long hair flowing behind her because of the wind.
"Angel..." I say. It's one of the few nicknames I have for her, another main one being 'honey'. She turns around and looks at me. Joy fills her eyes and she rushes towards me, throwing her arms around me. She doesn't care that I smell like tar and dirt, doesn't care that the dirt is all over my clothes and face.
Tumblr media
I wrap my arms around her, breathing in the scent of her sweet-smelling hair. I kiss her cheek and all the emotions I've bottled down almost spill out. No, I can't let that happen. I have to stay strong for her.
She steps back and looks at me with tearful eyes. I pull her towards me and kiss her deeply, savouring the flavour and taste of her soft lips. She opens her mouth and I slip my tongue inside, exploring her mouth. She tastes like the sweet fruit at the end of countless hardships.
Sarah tastes like mine. There's not a lot I can call mine, but Sarah is mine. And I'll be damned to let anyone hurt her or take her away from me.
And the moan she gives makes me wanna carry her inside and show her just that.
But I have to keep the lust in control since I'd rather talk to her and hold her in my arms in those few stolen moments we have together than have sex with her.
I draw my head to let her catch her breath. I can go on for longer, werewolf lungs and all. But she's human. My human.
I caress her cheek gently and press a kiss to her forehead. "I've missed you, my Angel."
"I've missed you too, Sourwolf." She sniffs.
Tumblr media
"Come on," I say, "Let's go inside."
She slips her hand in mine and we walk inside the loft. Sarah beams at the simple arrangement of the place and looks at me. "I've missed coming here."
"I know, I'm sorry," I say ruefully. The loft has not been the same without her. After we got together officially, Sarah used to hang out at the loft frequently. At one point, she was living with me. Those were the best days of my life. Just being with her, inside her and spending time in her presence gave me more happiness than anything else.
But then Gerard Argent showed up along with his pack of Hunters. I turned Isaac and Erica, and Sarah's brother started to hate me. I don't care, Scott's a child. He'll understand the ways of the world after growing up.
But unknowingly, that caused a rift between me and Sarah. It was too unsafe for her to be with me, with hunters prowling around and an unknown beast to add to the list. I know how low Gerard can sink, he can threaten and hurt Sarah just to get to me.
I once had a thought of breaking up with her for her own safety, but she had said to me "I'll carve your heart out with a scalpel and keep it as a prized possession if you ever do that." And that had led to a passionate make-out session.
Tumblr media
"Derek..." Sarah's voice makes me look at her. But she isn't looking at me, she's staring at my jacket. "Why do you smell like women's perfume?"
Aah, that is Erica's fault. "Oh, it's nothing. I was going to tell you." I begin casually, but she looks anything but casual. Sarah's glaring at me like she never has before, and I gulp. "Angel, believe me, it's not what you think."
"Then what is it?" She hisses viciously, and at that moment, I can't help but admire how strong and confident she looks.
Right, back to the point.
I explain everything to her, starting from training to the point where Erica kissed me, and at the end, Sarah looks like she could commit first-degree murder. "I pushed her away immediately," I say, desperation clawing at my insides. Will she believe me?
Sarah glares at me. Then, she looks at her feet with a sigh. "Do you like her, Derek?"
"No!" I exclaim, aghast. "Honey, she's my beta, and she's also underage. I don't like her. I don't like anyone but you."
She doesn't look at me. "It's fine, Derek. If you don't like me anymore. I get it. It's been a hard couple of months. And I understand if you wanna be with me. Maybe a werewolf will be better for you."
"Sarah," I ball my hand into a fist. "Look at me."
She doesn't budge, and I gently lift her chin up. Her warm, chocolate eyes meet my werewolf red. She looks a bit frightened, and I wrap my arm around her, pulling her hard against me.
Tumblr media
"Look at me, Angel." I growl, "You're the only one I like, the only one I want. So don't even think for a second that I'll look at anyone else the way I look at you."
"I'm sorry," She says and my eyes go back to the usual green. "It's been so hard recently, so I thought that you'd give up and...." She looks at me worriedly, "Start looking for someone else."
"Sarah," I say calmly, "It's been very hard, yes. But I'm not giving up on you. On us. It's you for me, Angel."
Sarah gives me a shaky smile, and I continue, "And as for Erica, I pushed her away immediately and warned her to not do that again. You know why?"
She looks at me expectantly and I kiss her softly. "Because I'm not hers, Angel. I'm yours."

Favorite Niece
Derek Hale x Fem!Argent!reader
Other Characters: Kate Argent, Allison Argent (mentioned), McCall Pack (mentioned)
Warnings: cannon level violence, but nothing too bad, Derek tied up, slight S1E11 spoilers
Summary: She is the older sister of Allison Argent and, unlike her sister, knows all about the supernatural world. What happens when her aunt visits and happens to capture her boyfriend?
Word count: 1,650
My family was well known in the hunter community. Each member was trained either as a hunter, or a leader. My mother was the leader in our family, until time came for me or my little sister to take her place. Allison and I had just moved to Beacon Hills with our parents. She was a sophomore while I was a few months away from finishing my senior year. My little sister still didn’t know too much about the supernatural world we lived in, but me, my aunt Kate had been teaching and mentoring me for years.
She saw the world in a much different light than I did though. She believed that anything supernatural should be killed, while I, on the other hand, thought that those living in peace and protecting their own people and spaces shouldn’t be put down.
When we first moved here, I met Derek Hale while out in the woods, practicing my knife throwing. He had stopped running when he heard my frustrated yells and curses, coming over to investigate and make sure no one was hurt. We were instantly drawn together, neither of us wanting to stay away from each other for more than a few hours. The fact that I came from a family of hunters was one of the first topics that came up when we first got together. When I assured him that I saw the world in a vastly different way than my family, he and I became inseparable.
Everyone in the hunting world knew the Hale’s, and their story. I didn’t want to believe that someone could be horrible enough to trap a family in their house and let them burn. But when Derek opened up and told me about the night of the fire, about the pain he went through after losing his entire family, I swore off hunting completely.
Now, we had been together for nearly half a year, and when my aunt Kate came into town to visit, Derek and I had to keep things even quieter than usual. Scott and Stiles both knew Derek and I were together, but we had them keep things to themselves when my baby sister began hanging around with the three of us and Derek.
“Hi there my beautiful niece.” Kate smiled widely as she came into my room. I set my notebook down and turned around in my chair, making sure my phone was face down so she couldn’t see my messages.
“Hey Aunt Kate.” I smiled back at her, hoping she couldn’t feel my anxiety rolling off my body in heavy waves. I hadn’t been able to get a hold of Derek for hours, and with the small group of hunters in town, I was overly nervous.
“You at a good place for a break?” She nodded back to my homework. “I wanna show you something.”
“Umm.” I closed my laptop after saving my English report. “Yeah, I can stop for the night.” I slipped my boots on and grabbed by burnt orange sweater as I followed her out the front door. “Mom, dad, Aunt Kate is kidnapping me for the night. Love you!” I yelled back into the house before getting in the car. “So, where are we going?”
“I have a surprise for you.” She had been teaching me more and more about the hunting world as I had been trying to keep her off my back with my relationship with Derek. “You’ve been making so much progress in your training with me. I can’t believe how quickly you picked up knife throwing, and I swear you’re a natural shooter, so I thought I would surprise you with a very easy first hunt.”
My blood ran cold, and it felt like my heart stopped beating. “What do you mean? You know how I feel about hunting.”
Kate rolled her eyes. “I know, but you’ll have to get over it eventually. What if something comes after your baby sister one day?” Threatening Allison like that made my entire body freeze. She knew how protective I was over my little sister, how I’d do anything to keep her safe and out of the hunting world if I could. My dad had just started teaching Allison the basics, so the thought of her being thrown into hunting like I was scared the hell out of me. “You need to know how to protect yourself and your sister.”
She opened her door and got out of the car. When did we stop? “Where are we?” I followed behind her, not being able to see much as we wondered through the darkness, only to stop in the basement of what I recognized to be the Hale house. “Aunt Kate?” My heart was pounding as I followed her farther into the basement, only to come to a room with Derek chained up to a metal frame, wires connecting the metal to the circuit box on the wall, my curious eyes widening in shock and fear.
“Surprise!” She gave me a wide grin and held her arms to her side, effectively making Derek jump awake and his eyes land on my face. “What better way to kick off your hunting life than to take out one of the most famous werewolves in Beacon Hills?”
My breathing was a bit heavier as I stared at Derek. His side was bandaged up, the wires of the circuit box disappearing under the black tape, and he looked like he hadn’t sept in days. I knew Kate had been torturing him, probably sending too much electricity through his body as her way of getting him to talk and not letting him heal properly. “You...you want me to kill Derek Hale?” I looked at my aunt like she was crazy.
“Yes!” She wrapped an arm around my shoulders and dragged me closer to the werewolf. Derek bared his teeth and growled at my aunt. “See, he’s just so feisty.” She didn’t know he was trying to protect me, not himself.
“Derek?” My voice was soft, my aunt taking it as disbelief, not my fear for his life. “I can’t do this. He never did anything to me.”
Kate rolled her eyes at me, dropping her arm and going over to the circuit switch. “Sure, you can. You just have to take the first few steps.” I hadn’t taken my eyes off of his, until I heard a small click, and Derek tensed up in pain, a loud roar tearing through his chest.
“No, no, Aunt Kate, stop! Stop!” I shrieked, running over to her table, and flipping the switch off. Derek relaxed back against the metal wall, a breath of relief falling from his lips. “Stop.”
“Oh, come on sweetheart, he’s a monster. Our family, we hunt them down to make sure they won’t ever hurt anyone.” My eyes were wide as I stared at Derek, his bare chest heaving as he took in all the air he could before my aunt would turn the machine back on.
“He hasn’t hurt anyone though.”
“But he will!” Her voice was getting louder and louder, almost yelling at me. “You need to understand that werewolves are dangerous and need to be put down.”
I was silent for what felt like hours, both Kate and Derek looking at me, waiting for my answer. “Ok.” I sighed. “You want me to kill him, fine. But I don’t want you breathing down my neck telling me I’m doing something wrong. Go wait in the car.” I had to convince her that I would go through with it. My fingers trailed over the black handgun sitting beside the machine on the table, slightly trembling. “Please, just let me do this my way.”
A proud smile covered her face as my eyes dropped to the ground. “Alright! I knew you were my favorite niece for a reason.” She clapped her hands together. “I’ll see you outside in twenty minutes.” Kate turned and walked out of the house. I didn’t move until I heard the car door shut behind her, then I moved quickly up to Derek’s side.
“Derek?” I placed my hands on his cheeks, turning his face to look at me. “Look at me, please.”
“Why? You wanna look into my eyes as you kill me? I knew it wasn’t real.” The pain in his words broke my heart.
My eyes filled with tears and I held onto his cheeks just a bit tighter. “Derek, I am nothing like my aunt. She is crazy and thinks anything supernatural should be killed. I can’t do that. I could never do that, especially not to you. I sent her out so I could get you free, so I could save you.” My hands smoothed down his sweaty hair. “Please, Derek, you gotta believe me. I could never hurt you.”
“You do this, and it’s not just Kate that will come after you. It’s all her hunter friends, your mom and dad, maybe even your sister someday. You’re ok with that?” His eyes locked on mine, listening to my heart for a change in pace.
“For you?” I smiled softly, resting my head against his. “Anything.” He leaned forward, pressing a searing kiss to my lips before I pulled away. “You see a key?”
He rolled his eyes. “Move.” I listened to his order, stepping back, and watching his movements carefully. Derek planted his feet, balled his hands into fists, and threw his arms forward, snapping the metal cuffs off his wrists and tearing the black bandage from his side. “Now let’s get out of here.”
“Just a second.” My feet carried me up in front of him, my hands resting around his neck as I pulled him down for another kiss. His arms came to wrap around me, pulling me closer to his chest for a moment before leaning back and taking my hand in his. “You scared the hell out of me.”
A car door slammed outside the old Hale house. “We need to go.”

kiss it better
stiles x reader
wc: ~1k
like the stydia kiss in season three when stiles is having a panic attack, except you're the one panicking and he kisses you!
obviously details a panic attack so trigger warning for that
"(y/n)?"
stiles knocked softly on your door, frowning at the lack of response. he called your name a few more times to no avail, slowly opening the bedroom door with a deep breath. he called out your name again, sounding his presence before even looking in the room. was he concerned you were unresponsive because you were dead? yes. but he was still a man of respect.
his heart grew heavy in his chest as his eyes fell on your frame. you sat on your window sill, legs curled to your chest and a heavy blanket wrapped around your figure as you balanced on the ledge of the open window. not in a concerning way, stiles decided. you didn't appear ready to jump, but rather more... pensive. he couldn't see much of your face, as you faced the activity on the street below, but he could hear that you were crying. the entire scene was gut-wrenching to him.
you, on the other hand, considered it pathetic.
you didn't hear stiles entering your room, lost in your own world as tears stained your cheeks. your once racing thoughts had been numbed by feelings of dissociation, no longer having the energy to even ruminate anymore. you pulled your weighted blanket tighter around your body, hoping at this point it would just crush you and swallow you whole. you nearly fell out the window at the the sound of stiles calling out your name.
"... (y/n)?
you turned to face him, and you swore he almost looked as sad as you did.
he stepped hesitantly towards you. "i'm sorry, we just, we haven't heard from you all day. are you... are you okay?"
the fatal question.
as soon as the words came out of his mouth, you choked out a sob. the emotions you had detached yourself from came flooding back into your system, and you lost control.
you couldn't breathe. you couldn't think, yet that was somehow all you were able to do -- no words would come out no matter how hard you tried. stiles ran to your side immediately, pulling you from the window and onto the ground. he tugged you against his chest, holding you as tight as he possibly could as if he was afraid you'd run.
as if you had that kind of control over your body in this moment. you felt yourself beginning to hyperventilate, no longer feeling like you could get any oxygen into your lungs. it made you panic more, and while you knew stiles was talking to you, begging for your attention, you just couldn't seem to pull out of it.
everything was overwhelming again, and you felt like you were in a trance -- if a trance could be absolute hell. you needed to snap out of it. you screamed in your head, begging, pleading with your brain to think rationally.
it was no use. you were stuck like this forever, you thought.
stiles didn't know what to do. he'd dealt with his own panic attacks before, but seeing you in one short-circuited his brain. he was panicking himself, the thought of you hurting this badly physically bringing him pain. he pulled you off his chest, trying to get you to look in his eyes. trying to pull you out of it.
"(y/n), please, I need you to listen to me."
"please, just please look at me."
"i need you to breathe, please, i need you to listen to me. you're right here, I'm here, you're safe. whatever this is, it's okay, I promise, just, please."
there was nothing you wanted more than to cooperate, but you weren't in control anymore. you sobbed harder, feeling defeated.
stiles' breathing was getting quicker too, feeling helpless. he just needed you to hear him, to come back to the present. he needed you to breathe, he needed you to breathe, he just --
his lips hit yours with a force, silencing your mind in an instant. your eyes widened as you felt him against you, his hands pressing on either side of your face holding you close to him. you saw his eyes squeezed shut tightly. you felt his choppy exhale against your face. suddenly, you were here again -- present. you could smell his cologne and hear your stereo playing softly in the background.
your eyes fluttered closed and stiles let out a sigh into your mouth as he finally felt you relax against him. he held there for a moment, his soft lips on your chapped and swollen ones, lightly running his fingers through your hair as he felt your body begin to calm down. you let out a shaky exhale through your nose as you laid a hand against his chest, and he knew you had come back down to earth.
he pulled back slowly, his eyes opening to lock with yours. your lips remained slightly parted, shaky breaths coming out at a much slower pace than just moments before. you both just sat there, inches from one another, and your eyebrows furrowed as you took in what just happened. his eyes flickered down to your lips, causing him to lick his own subconsciously.
stiles spoke first. "i, um,"
"i read somewhere once that holding your breath can help stop a panic attack."
he paused for a moment to clear his throat. "so, when I kissed you, you, uh, you held your breath."
"oh,"
"yeah,"
you nodded slowly, feeling your heart rate return to normal for what felt like the first time in days. you leaned back slightly, taking in his whole frame. you took a deep breath, butterflies beginning to replace the sickly feeling in your stomach. "thank you."
"no problem."

Little Handprints
There are little handprints on the walls. Eli has little hands. Case solved.
Based on the incorrect quote
Tumblr media
Read it on AO3, here
Stiles leant against the kitchen counter, dragging his hand down his face as he let out a heavy sigh. A heavy case load and late nights were starting to wear him thin. And even when he wasn’t working late, his mind ran rampant, making sleep near impossible.
He rubbed the sleep from his eyes, pinching the bridge of his nose as he tried to wake himself more.
The sound of plastic clattering caught his attention. Stiles turned to look where Eli sat in his booster seat at the table. The food tray on his seat was splattered with toast and jam.
“You okay there, Trouble?” Stiles asked.
Eli giggled as he snatched up one of the pieces of jam-covered toast that he had knocked over and took a bite out of it.
“Yeah,” he chirped through a mouthful of mushed toast.
The nickname that had come from Eli’s comedic timing; Stiles’ dad said something about trouble following wherever Stiles and Derek go, and Eli toddled in after them at that moment, prompting the
Sheriff to say, “And here’s trouble!”
The name stuck. And it proved to be fitting on several occasions.
Stiles slid the coffee pot from the percolator and poured the dark liquid into his mug, heaping in spoonfuls of sugar before walking around the corner of the bench and into the dining room.
“Yummy?” Stiles asked as he walked over to the table and sat down next to Eli’s booster seat.
“Yummy,” Eli replied around another mouthful.
Stiles gave him a soft smile before resting his elbows on the table and letting his heady fall, heavy, into his hands.
“You okay?” Eli asked, his sweet voice coiled with worry.
“I’m okay, bud,” Stiles replied, unable to lift his head. “Just tired.”
He felt something tap his cheek. He lifted his head and turned to see what was poking him.
Eli held out a half-eaten piece of toast for him.
Stiles couldn’t help but smile.
“Thanks, bud,” he said softly, taking the piece of toast offered to him. He ate the toast, dusting the crumbs off his hand before laying his head back in his hands and watching his son eat his breakfast.
He let his mind drift, the world blurring into swirls of colour and movement. His eyes grew heavy as the seductive embrace of sleep crept into the back of his mind. His heavy eyes drifted shut and he sank into the darkness.
“Stiles?” Derek called from the hallway, starling Stiles.
“Hmm?” Stiles hummed questioningly—the most he could muster up.
“Why are there little handprints on the walls?” Derek asked, peering around the open doorframe of the dining room.
Stiles blinked a few times, his mind rattling through the mess of thoughts for an answer. He lifted his head slightly and turned to look at Eli in his high chair.
“Why are there little handprints on the walls?” he whispered.
“Because I have little hands,” Eli answered, holding up his jam-and-crumb-covered hands to show him.
Stiles turned his head to look at Derek.
“Because he has little hands,” he repeated.
Derek let out a soft chuckle, turning back towards the hallway to hide his smile.
It took a moment for Stiles’ brain to catch up with what he said, realisation stirring him enough for him to sit up and drag his hand down his face.
“What is it this time?”
“Markers,” Derek answered. “Thankfully, it’s the washable ones that Lydia got him.”
“I’ll clean it,” he volunteered, pushing back his chair as he tried to summon what little energy he had left.
“No,” Derek said softly. “Trouble and I will clean it after we finish breakfast.”
“I’m Trouble!” Eli said excitedly, perking up at his nickname.
Stiles and Derek couldn’t help but laugh.
“Yes, you are,” Stiles said softly, smiling lovingly as he reached out and gently tousled Eli’s hair.

This is a little sterek college AU (are they human are they werewolves who knows) one shot that I wrote on my phone with no beta or editing So apologies for the errors! The premise is a little vauge on purpose in case I want to expand this into a full story later but basically its an "Everyone grew up together" kind of vibe. Made Derek only 3 years older to make him still being in college realistic. Enjoy!
The car slowing to a stop woke Stiles. Blinking around and not fully conscious he asked confused:
"Are we there already?"
Derek glanced over from the driver's seat and chuckled.
"No we still have like three hours. It's just a traffic jam."
"Oh," stiles sat up a little straighter and looked around, clearly still half asleep. "We'll still get there early right?"
"Yeah, gps says we'll arrive at 1, so plenty of time for move in," Derek assured as the traffic began inching forward.
"Good, I need to talk to the housing department," Stiles pulled out his phone, fingers moving rapidly as he typed.
Derek smiled indulgently. It was Stiles freshman year of college and Derek had never seen him so excited.
"To get your key?" Derek prompted when Stiles didn't elaborate.
"No, I need to see if they have any empty rooms," Stiles tone was almost vague, his attention on his phone. "Or any double rooms with only one occupant. Here look there's an alternative route-"
"I'm sorry what?" Derek cut Stiles off. "You have to ask about a room? Stiles it's move in day! The day you move in!"
"Yeah so I have to get a room to move into," Stiles rolled his eyes. "So the earlier the better! Here, take the next exit so we can get around-"
"Mieczyslaw Genim Stilinski!!" Derek didn't roar, they were in a closed car but it was a close thing.
"Hey hey hey, why are you middle naming me?" Stiles demanded. "Forget that, why are you first naming me?!"
"Because your father isn't here to do it!" Derek growled. "You don't have a place to live?"
"Well I did! But then Scott decided to room with Allison instead and I told him not to worry about it but when I called the place we were going to rent from they said I couldn't rent a two bedroom as one person so yes I'm going to talk to housing when we get there!" Stiles waved his hands around as he spoke, getting more agitated. "What else was I supposed to do?"
"I don't know, stiles, ask the adults in your life for help?" Derek pointed out.
"Dad has enough on his plate and I had already told him scott and I were set," Stiles sounded embarrassed.
"Your father is not the only adult in your life," Derek reminded, though not harshly. "What about my parents, hell Laura would have been happy to help or I don't know me??"
"Your parents were busy getting cora all set up," Stiles pointed out. "And I thought about calling Laura but her semester just started too..."
"And me?" Derek prompted. "I'm not exactly new at this!"
"Honestly I forget you're an adult too," Stiles admitted sheepishly.
"Stiles!" Derek groaned almost closing his eyes but the traffic began moving again and he focused back on the road.
"I know I know!! That's why I want to get there early, so I can get this sorted out with the housing department!" Stiles desperately explained again before holding out his phone again. "So can we take the alternate route?"
"What if you moved in with me?"
Stiles jaw dropped and he half lowered the phone. Derek wasn't looking at him, the older man's eyes on the road but he was growing in thought.
"What?"
"Move in with me," Derek repeated. "It's small but you wouldn't have to worry about rent, you could save the money you make at your job. It's technically off campus but it's not far to walk. There's also a bus stop out front-"
"But you hate having roommates!" Stiles interrupted. "And isn't it a one bedroom?"
"Yeah it's a little place but we can make it work. And you're not a stranger so I think I'll be fine," Derek smiled slightly. "What do you say?"
"Okay," Stiles was almost breathless. "If you're really sure..."
"I'm sure Stiles. Now we've still got like two and a half hours to go so go back to sleep. I'll wake you up when we get there."
"Okay," Stiles said again, smiling this time. "Thanks Der."
"You're welcome," Derek responded with a smile.
*****
"I'm sorry I have so many books," stiles frowned apologetic as they hauled the last two boxes up the stairs to the apartment.
"It's fine, Stiles, I promise," Derek said for what felt like the hundredth time.
They dropped the boxes by the half full bookshelves in the small living room before pausing to take a break.
Heading to the kitchen Derek pulled a couple of bottles of water from the fridge, silently greatful he had come the week before to clean and stock the apartment. It hadn't been used in months and had been dusty. Derek had wanted move in day to have as minimal work as possible so he had come to prepare.
"Are you sure about me not paying rent?" Stiles worried voice pulled Derek from his thoughts.
"I told you it's fine. I don't pay rent, why would I make you pay rent?" Derek held out a water bottle to Stiles. "My parents own the building, specifically so family can use it without having to worry about paying for accommodations. There's always a few units empty. This one has been mine since I started school."
"If you're sure," Stiles relented. "Do we need any groceries? I can make a run!"
"Sure," Derek started but he was interrupted by a knock on the door and it swinging open.
"Hey nerd, how's unpacking going?"
Both men turned to see Erica kicking off her shoes by the door.
"Hey Erica!" Stiles greeted brightly. "It's going pretty good! We got the sleeping arrangements sorted first then hauled everything in!"
Erica froze for half a second at the sight of stiles before smiling.
"What are you doing here?" She asked
"Oh I'm living here," stiles glanced between his two friends "did Derek not tell you?"
"He did not," Erica gave Derek a pointed look and the older man rolled his eyes.
"Cut me some slack, I didn't even know until like 3 hours ago!" Derek gave Stiles a face. "Someone thought they could show up on move in day and just find a place to stay!"
"Oh?" Erica grinned and Stiles blushed.
"I'm going to go get some groceries now," he muttered avoiding Erica's eye and she laughed.
"Whatever Batman," Erica plopped on the couch, pulling out her phone. "Bring me back some chocolate?"
"Sure," Stiles agreed easily. "I won't be long!"
"Ok be safe and call me if you get lost!" Derek said sternly.
"This isn't the preserve Derek, GPS actually works here so I think I'll be fine!" With that stiles left, waving as he pulled the door closed.
As soon as she hears the door latch Erica jumped up rouding on Derek.
"This is a terrible idea!!" She exclaimed. "Why would you even suggest it?"
"If you're gonna lecture at least help me unpack his books," Derek answered, dodging the question.
"Seriously Derek, what were you thinking?" Erica grabbed a box and began opening it.
"Well I wasn't gonna let him be homeless!" Derek hissed. "He's my best friend-"
"Who you've been in love with since you were what 8?" Erica crossed her arms.
"If we're getting technical since I was 3," Derek admitted.
Erica did the quick mental math before asking:
"God Derek, was he even born??"
"Um not yet."
"Derek!" Erica groaned. "What are you going to do if he brings someone home? You'll be in jail for murder!"
"I'm not that jealous!" Derek said defensively.
"No but you are that protective!" Erica countered.
"It won't be a problem anyway, Stiles isn't going to bring anyone home," Derek said dismissively.
"Are we talking about the same stiles?" Erica raised an eyebrow. "Stiles stilinski? The boy who dated Lydia Martin! Stiles stilinski who dated your sister and your cousin not to mention half the lacrosse team! Say what you want but that boy can pull!"
"Okay so we cross that bridge when we get there!" Derek continued putting books on the shelves, avoiding Erica's eye for a moment.
"Yeah okay," Erica crossed her arms. "We'll see how that goes."
"You want a tour or what?" Derek huffed, changing the subject.
"Obviously," Erica grinned. "Why else do you think I came over?"
Derek refrained from rolling his eyes and gestured for the young woman to follow him. He gave a quick tour of the living room and kitchen before opening the door to the bedroom.
"There's only one bed?!" Erica rounded on Derek, her disbelief written across her face.
"It's a king, we can share," Derek shrugged. "We have before."
"This is going to end so badly. This is a disaster," Erica stood dumbfounded. "Seriously what were you thinking?"
*****
"I was thinking 'hey one less thing to stress over' Scott I wasn't thinking about how in each other's space it would be!" Stiles nearly threw his hands up in exasperation. "I didn't exactly have another option!"
"You should have told me! Allison and I could have got a bigger place or you an I could have done this first semester together and she and I could have moved in together next semester!" Scott's worried voice came over the phone and stiles could almost see Scott nervously pacing.
"It's Derek Scott, it'll be fine!" Stiles tried to sound confident.
"Who you've been in love with since you were old enough to walk!" Scott pointed out.
Stiles groaned.
"I know, I know. But honestly, how bad can this be?"

Oh my God.
Their faces are suddenly so close. Like, so very, very close.
Stiles tries to tamper down his nerves (completely unsuccessfully, of fucking course) by taking a much-needed breath.
He then stammers out the words, "I've, uh, I've, I've never, um—"
Calm. The fuck. Down.
"It's the same as it is with a girl, Stiles," Derek says, all matter-of-factly as if they're not just about to kiss.
Holy fucking shit!
"Just… hairier," the big guy adds.
Stiles wets his lips and nods and states, “Because you're a boy," oh, so intelligently. "I mean, y'know..."
Gulp!
"A m-man."
One of Derek's thick eyebrows slowly climbs his forehead, face looking as if the haughty display should be taken as some sort of admonishment and it is so fucking hot that Stiles's ridiculous dick jumps for joy inside of his khakis.
Traitor.
"Actually, I'm neither," says the dude who would put any of the Greek Gods to shame and he flashes that rare, toothy, wicked-sexy smile.
Fuck!
Then Derek shifts and growls, "I'm a werewolf," before licking the gasp right out of Stiles's mouth.
.
for @greyhavenisback (and now i really must try and go back to sleep, zoiks!)

Monique at this point idk what associates with dilf!derek cuz he basically is now with Eli so😆 would you be up for something like Der picking you up from a night out all drunk and he’s all sweet and patient with you?
TIPSY | D.H.
word count: 1k
warnings: reader being a lightweight, mentions alcohol consumption- I included your idea of reader meeting eli as well, fem!reader, age gap
Tumblr media
Derek was surprised, to say the least when you told him you were going out for some drinks with Malia, for many reasons but the biggest was the fact that he knew without a doubt that you were a lightweight and in comparison to Malia who quite literally couldn't get drunk, he knew the night wouldn't be ending all that well for you. So, when Malia called saying you refused to let her drive you to her place because you insisted that Derek pick you up, he wasn't surprised and didn't waste much time driving over to the bar to get you.
He heard Malia lovingly reprimanding you before he even turned the corner to see you sat on the curb, twiddling your feet to the beat of the music streaming out from the bar, looking a lovely mess as you hummed along. He couldn't help a small grin at the sight of you, already expecting a rough ride home when you jumped up and stumbled, caught by a very frustrated yet not any less caring Malia who was just as happy as you were when he stopped in front of you.
"Bear," you cooed, excitement earning a little hiccup from you as you reached for him, his arms ready to catch you as you hugged him, hands snaking around his torso as you brushed your face up and down his shirt, unintentionally mimicking a cat, delighted by the fact that he came.
"Hi, honey," he purred right back, a warm hand resting on your lower back as he shook his head, knowing the use of the pet name would keep your dazed mind busy long enough for him to turn his attention to his cousin watching the whole scene play out. "You were supposed to watch her," he reminded her and looked down at you, eyes fighting to stay open as you brought a hand up to fiddle with the zipper of his jacket. "How much did she have to drink?"
"Not enough to have her this drunk," Malia argued and she was right, you'd have defended her if you were more yourself, you truly only had a few cocktails, maybe a few more than you should've but definitely not enough to have you pushing a little past tipsy. "She only had a few of those sweet drinks, she clearly just can't hold her liquor."
"Okay, thank you for calling me and for staying with her, I'll take her to my place," you were happy with that, looking up at him with big eyes and your chin on his shirt as he brushed some smudged mascara from the side of your eye. "You like the sound of that?" he teased and when your smile grew he simply had to kiss your nose, it's boyfriend taxes for having to witness such cuteness without warning.
"Is Eli home?" now, were you sober that question would not have made you excited, were you sober you'd have been completely terrified to officially meet Eli for the first time in this state. You'd heard all about him and him about you, greeted each other over voice notes, or waved at him over facetime before he headed to school, but never the big deal first meeting.
"He is," you gasped, and pulled away, wiping at your face, then softer than a second ago you brought a hand up to wipe at his as well, fixing his beard and nodding when you approved of your work.
"Now we look pretty," you explained and turned to Malia who had assumed you'd forgotten that she was there, to begin with. "Do you want to come to meet Eli too?"
"I think we've had enough Malia time tonight, don't you?" Derek was already searching for his keys in his pocket, a little nod telling Malia that he owes her for looking out for you, the girl giving you a quick side-hug and pretending to ignore you very loudly saying goodbye to her.
It was a mission getting you into the car, you insisted on walking yourself and failing horribly at the act, you'd never really mastered walking in heels sober let alone a little drunk but Derek humored you. However, when you were trying to buckle yourself in with shaky hands and pouted lips he decided to step in.
"You all settled in?" he asked, looking around to make sure you were comfortable, a stray jacket he'd left in the car already propped behind your head and legs folded rather uncomfortably under you.
"Almost," you breathed and he raised a brow at you, curious about what you needed, trying to think of something to use in case you were feeling sick but you simply pouted your lips more, lifting a red-painted finger to point at your lips. "A kiss," you demanded and he would be cruel to make you wait, he wanted to cave instantly, but of course, he didn't.
"You want a kiss?" his hand was still on your stomach from where he held you back to buckle you up and he was happy for that because it gave you an excuse to touch him, both hands gripping his as you nodded. "Alright, since you asked so nicely," and he didn't make you wait any longer, brushing a quick kiss onto your impatient lips.
"Okay, now you can take me home," he laughed lightly at that, squeezing your hand before closing the door and walking around to the other side of the car. You took hold of Derek's hand again as soon as the car started, twisting yourself so you could watch him, the smile not leaving your lips as he drove, not even when you started falling asleep.
Derek carried you into the house, trying to be quiet in the living room but it wasn't much use when he bumped a lamp with your legs, cursing under his breath when the light in the hallway turned on a few seconds later, a tired and confused Eli stumbling into the room.
"Dad?" he was barely awake, looking around for context clues until his eyes landed on you, fast asleep in his dad's arms, snoring lightly and Derek quickly reminded the boy to be quiet. "Is that Y/n?" he asked, much softer this time, with many more questions on the tip of his tongue after his dad nodded. "Is she okay?"
"She's fine, I'm going to get her into bed and then I'll explain," and that's what he did, cooing softly when you moved around after he tucked you in, mumbling incoherently but cuddling further into his pillow, entirely unphased by your surroundings now that you were surrounded entirely by his scent.
"You have a girl in your bed," Eli noted from behind the kitchen counter, a smirk on his face as he took a long sip from his glass, the now empty jug of orange juice standing next to his fisted hand.
"I've never done that before," Derek replied, looking back to make sure he closed the door before joining his son in the kitchen. "I didn't want it to happen like this, I know she didn't either. We had a plan and I was supposed to talk to you about it first."
"It's fine, dad," he sighed, and Derek was surprised to see the smile on his lips, the boy looking rather smug from where he stood. "It's not like it's just some girl, it's Y/n," he stated very lightly, and he'd never say it out loud, but it was annoyingly obvious how much happier his dad was since meeting you and it was even more obvious how much he cared for you. "Your Y/n," he added and Derek wasn't sure his heart could be filled with so much pride because of such a simple sentence but he was wrong, very wrong.
"You'll love her," Derek beamed, in thought really, trying to figure out how to make the next morning as perfect as possible, for you and for Eli. "She's so special, Eli, you'll love her."
"I'm sure I will," he agreed and they shared a light laugh, them having a heart-to-heart was a foreign concept in the Hale house, foreign but entirely welcome. "So should I bring up her being drunk at breakfast?"
"Not if you enjoy living," and Eli knew the man was not kidding.

Read to Me
Derek Hale x Fem!reader
Other Characters: Lydia (briefly), Stiles (briefly)
Warnings: none, this is finally a cute piece
Summary: When she gets home from work, all she wants is for Derek to read to her.
Word count: 844
After a long shift at the little bakery I worked at in town, I wanted nothing more than to change into comfy clothes and take a nap. Children had been running around as their mothers talked, screaming and knocking things over, people had snapped and shouted at me when I told them we had run out of the cookies that just had to have, and I dropped nearly every box I picked up through the day.
I slid the large door of Derek’s loft open and stepped in, shutting it behind me. “Welcome home.” Derek greeted sweetly from his spot on the couch, a book opened in his hands, but leaned against his chest has he greated me.
“Ugh.” I groaned, dropping my bag, and marched into the kitchen to toss my keys on the counter before heading into the bathroom where I knew I left my change of clothes. My bakery clothes were tossed into a corner of the room and were quickly replaced with leggings, a white tank, and my burnt orange cardigan before I rejoined Derek in the living room.
“Long day?” He questioned as I dropped onto the couch by his side, resting my head on his chest and curling my hands into the fluffy sleeves of my cardigan.
“Children screaming, people shouting at me. I’m exhausted.” I was far too tired to go into detail about my day like I usually did when I got home. Derek’s hand began rubbing my arm soothingly, watching as my eyes drooped closed and I enjoyed the warmth radiating off my werewolf boyfriend. I shifted a bit more, laying farther on his chest while also throwing one of my legs over his hips, hiding my face in his neck.
“Now that you’re home, what do you want to do?” He wondered, his hand still tracing over my back slowly.
“Read to me.” It came out more as a soft demand than I had wanted it to, but all I wanted was to do absolutely nothing with the man I loved most.
Derek chucked and picked the book up from its slouched position in his hand. His voice began reading, from what I assumed to be the spot he left off at when I pounced on him earlier. I was completely lost about the plot of the story, not understanding the characters background enough to keep up, but listening to Derek read, even if I was confused, was comforting. I slowly forgot about my horrible day, forgetting the screaming kids and the rude adults, just focusing on laying here in the loft as Derek read to me.
His hand would only briefly leave my back when he turned the page of the book before going back to gently running his fingers over the soft material. I was nearly asleep when the door slid open loudly and a very wound up Stiles walked in. “I swear he’s an idiot!”
The slam of the metal door was enough to make me jump, Derek’s arm tightening around my body to make sure I didn’t fall off the couch, and to reassure my tired mind that we were safe. “Stiles. Out.” Derek barked at the teen with a growl rumbling in his chest. I had cracked my eyes open to glace at Derek.
“But Scott, he’s…” The boy barely got out before Derek’s signature glare was plastered across his face. “I just…”
More footsteps sounded from the hall and I groaned loudly, tucking myself further into Derek’s side, not ready to face any of the pack’s problems at the moment. “Stiles!” The voice belonged to Lydia. “Can’t you tell they need some space?” I could practically hear the girl’s eyeroll. “Leave them alone, at least for the night.”
“But Lydia...” Stiles attempted to complain but was silently shut down, from what I guessed to be another glare from Derek and now Lydia. “Ok.” He sighed and his steps faded out into the main hall of the building.
Even though Stiles left, I had yet to hear the door close. “Enjoy your night off. I’ll do everything I can to keep the others away for the evening, but I can’t promise he won’t call the moment the sun rises.”
“I’m locking the doors and turning our phones off tonight.” I mumbled to Derek before speaking up for Lydia to hear. “Thanks, Lyds, I really owe you one.”
“You’ll just have to go shopping with me.” She teased. “Bye guys.”
I waved her off without ever looking up from my place on Derek’s chest, only once the door was shut, did I move to look up at my werewolf. “I swear, we need a lock on the damn door.”
Derek’s chest rumbled with a laugh as he pressed a soft kiss to my head. “It’s at the top of my list for tomorrow.”
“Good.” My head fell back down to his chest while Derek began reading from the place he left off at when we were so rudely interrupted, this time, sending me into a deep sleep that wasn’t interrupted until Stiles called, literally the moment the sun crossed the horizon.

Pairing: Void/Stiles x reader
Warnings: surprisingly not many, unrequited love??, scary void??, mentions of murder/killing/death threats???
Summary: void corners you in the empty school and gives some insightful advice
Word count: 1.9k
Tumblr media
“Void?” you breathed into the darkness.
Silence answered you, unsettling you more than you’d care to admit. You looked around the dim classroom, feeling your nerves dance in your stomach. The school was dark when the power was off. So dark that you could barely see to the other end of the room.
“Is anyone there?” you asked again, feeling panic claw at your throat as you waited for a response, every muscle in your body tensed.
Yet when you still didn’t get an answer, you started breathing a little easier. Maybe he wasn’t here. Maybe you could go home to your friends and forget about ever hearing that voicemail on your phone, threatening your family if you didn’t come to the school to meet up with him. To meet up with Void.
You let out another breath, letting your shoulders relax slightly as you turned towards the door. Void wasn’t here, and though that could mean you were here as a distraction, you couldn’t help but feel relieved that you didn’t have to see him. The Nogistune was truly terrifying, a supernatural creature you had no want to get to know.
“Going so soon?”
You froze, feeling like you’d just been dowsed in cold water. The hairs on your neck stood up as a wave of nausea hit you. Even still you didn’t turn around. You just stood there, rooted to the spot with your eyes squeezed shut, begging for this all to be a dream.
You heard Void’s soft footsteps as he walked up behind you, barely breathing. You waited with bated breath for him to say something, do something, but he just stood there behind you, enjoying the sight of your fear.
Suddenly you felt a finger trace your jaw and your eyes flew open to find Void standing right in front of you, a small smirk curled onto his face. You glanced behind you, but no one was there. When had he moved in front of you? Why hadn’t you heard him? You felt queasy as you thought of how silent Void had been, how he had purposely let you hear his footsteps, all to see you tremble before him. It was sick. He was sick.
You stared up at him, at the face that was once so familiar, now distorted and wrong, trying to find some shred of dignity inside of you. You didn’t want to seem afraid, but how could you hide your fear when he could smell it? When he feasted upon the very terror you were trying to hide from him?
Void stared right back at you, the smirk on his face slowly growing. He had bags under his eyes and he was very pale. You could only imagine Stiles was looking even worse, which made your stomach lurch.
“I’m glad you came,” Void finally spoke, the hairs on your arms rising just at the sound of his voice.
You swallowed thickly, trying to calm your heartbeat as he took a step forward, trailing his finger down to your throat, resting on your racing pulse. He smiled, his eyes flicking up to your face where he could no doubt see the terror written all over you, no matter your attempts to hide it away.
He grinned, the sight making your stomach drop. “Are you glad you came?”
Not really, you thought wryly, still able to keep your sarcastic demeanour even in serious situations. It was one of the reasons you and Stiles became friends so quickly; you were both too sarcastic for your own good. You knew in this moment though, where you were alone in an empty school with a Nogistune, that sarcasm would not help you.
So instead you just stayed silent, hoping Void would get to the point of why you were here. His hand was still on your pulse, which was unnerving you nearly as much as how close the Nogistune was to you, barely a breath away.
Void raised an eyebrow at your silence. “Not in a talking mood?”
Mutely, you shook your head. Void stared at you, cocking his head to the side as he raised his hand to lightly brush along your cheek. You did your best not to flinch, standing as rigid as a statue as you waited for him to be done with whatever he was doing. It was pathetic, you knew, but you didn’t have much of an option. You weren’t powerful like Scott or smart like Lydia. You couldn’t grow claws or punch with enough force to break walls. You were just an average human, one that Void could toy with however he wanted, because you certainly wouldn’t be able to do anything to stop him.
“Do you know why I asked you to come here?” Void asked, finally taking a step back.
Immediately you felt some weight on your lungs lift. You no longer felt like you were suffocating, because now you actually had space to breathe. Your eyes fluttered shut for a moment, but they were back open and alert as soon as he continued speaking.
“I asked you to come here because I have a theory.”
Curious, you couldn’t help but ask, “what theory?”
Void grinned, beckoning you closer with his hand. Reluctantly, you took a small step closer, but that didn’t seem to be enough for Void because he grabbed on your wrist and tugged you closer until you were flush against his chest.
Void looked down at you, tucking a strand of your hair behind your ear as an unreadable expression took over his face. “Stiles Stilinski is in love with you.”
You stared at Void, momentarily caught off guard. Stiles, in love with you? You’d been helplessly in love with him for years, yet you’d always believed it was unrequited, what with Stiles’ infatuation with Lydia, but now here Void was, telling you he was in love with you, and he’d know better than anyone wouldn’t he, having possessed him and all.
Even so you couldn’t bring yourself to completely believe him. There was the doubt that had followed you around for years holding you back, the doubt that came in the form of Stiles staring longingly at Lydia, or the smile she’d put on his face that you’d never managed to do.
“How do you know?” you asked quietly, relieved that your voice didn’t waver like you’d feared it might.
Void looked at you pityingly. “Oh don’t worry, he loves Lydia more, if that’s what you were wondering.”
It felt like a kick to the stomach. You knew he preferred Lydia over you, knew he loved her more, but to actually here it be said, be confirmed, was worse than you could have ever imagined. It felt like all your dreams were being crushed, like your heart was being squeezed as hard as possible, like someone had taken a sledgehammer to your chest.
After everything you’d done for him. Every night spent doing his homework for him because he had gotton side tracked with helping Scott. Every time you picked him up after he fell, not Lydia. Every time you comforted when he was upset, letting him cry on your shoulder while Lydia was who knows where. It was you who had helped him all those times, you who had been there for him through everything, you who loved him endlessly, yet he’d choose Lydia over you in a heartbeat.
It wasn’t fair, and it angered you beyond measure. Instead of focusing on your grief, you focused on the rage, knowing it would help you in this situation more than sadness ever could. Anger was a weapon, something Derek had taught you early on, and you intended to use it as such.
“That’s not what I asked,” you eventually said. “I asked how you knew.”
Void raised his eyebrows, pleasantly surprised at your change of attitude. “Well, it ties in with my theory, you see. I split myself from Stiles, but in doing so I seemed to take a bit of him with me, as he took a bit of me with him. Now, I’m not sure what that part of me might have manifested into. It could be aggression, distrust, or anything, really, but I think I’ve figured out what his part manifested into.”
You couldn’t help but cross your arms, irritated at his monologue. You had just gotton your heart torn in two, yet he didn’t seem to care as he talked riddles at you. You’d asked him a simple question; you wanted a simple answer in return. “Which is?”
Void’s lips curved into a smirk as he stared at you. “I thought it would be obvious.” At your silence he continued. “It manifested into his love for you.”
You couldn’t help the “oh” that tumbled out of your mouth at his words. This whole confrontation was starting to make a bit more sense, now that you had all the information. This meant, though, that Void was in love with you. Void, a Nogistune that had killed countless people, was in love with you. What were you supposed to do with that?
“Why are you telling me this?” you finally managed to say.
He cupped your face in his hands, his eyes hungry as he stared you. “Because I want you to join me, Y/n. Stiles doesn’t deserve you, he never will. All these people you call friends will sacrifice you without a second thought if it meant saving someone else. You will always be a second choice if you stay there.”
You stared at him, a million thoughts racing through your mind at his request. Join Void? Could you really stand against your friends? Fight against them? The people who you’d known for years, who had always stuck by your side?
Not always, a vicious voice spoke in your mind. Void is right. You’re always a second choice to them. Always second best, when you deserve to be first. He had spoken all your doubts aloud, cementing them in truth. You’d always ignored them, but now that Void had acknowledged them you weren’t sure you could anymore.
Didn’t you want to be someone’s first choice? Didn’t you deserve it? After everything you’ve done for all of them, and they couldn’t even care enough to put you first. The familiar feeling of anger returned, and you remembered your goal to use it as a weapon. You hadn’t thought you’d use it against your friends, but then again, aren’t they the reason you were angry in the first place? Don’t they deserve to feel your anger, to know what pain you’d gone through?
You looked up at Void, searching his face for any hint of doubt, any hint that he didn’t actually want this. He only stared back at you hungrily, waiting for you to make your decision.
And you did.
You grabbed his neck and pulled him close, pressing your lips against him fiercely. He returned the kiss immediately, wrapping his arms around your waist to pull you closer. You melted into the kiss, letting him explore your mouth and give you pleasure with every flick of his tongue. You held onto him tighter, relishing in the way he made you feel. No one had made you feel like this, made you feel as powerful as you did in this moment. You could tell that Void wanted you, the way he gave a sound of approval from his throat when you pulled him even closer.
He lifted you up on to a desk, moving between your legs and you dutifully wrapped them around him, your hands pressing against his chest. Void tilted your head to the side to get better access to your mouth, one of his hands going to your hair and entangling them in it.
You felt powerful, and you knew you’d get revenge on you so called ‘friends’, with Void right by your side.

in his flannel
stiles x reader (no (y/n) use)
wc: ~900
a best friends to lovers trope is at no moment NOT running through my head
when stiles opened the door, his mouth was dry on impact. there you stood, innocent and ready to study for your upcoming test -- in his flannel. he didn’t remember when it came into your possession, but he didn’t care.
he didnt even know he wanted so badly to see you in his clothing, until now, where he just can't seem to take his eyes off of you.
you.
in his shirt.
"stiles? can i come in, or..."
you spoke suddenly, breaking stiles from his trance. he shook his head dramatically, cringing at his first impression at the door.
"yeah jesus sorry, come in."
he stepped out of the way, making small talk as you made your way to his room, unloading your textbooks and notes across his bed. you sprawled out, laying on your stomach as you began to flip through the pages. stiles' eyes once again fell to the way his flannel fell against the curves of your body, his own feeling too hot suddenly.
he hadn't really thought of you this way before. okay, that was a lie, but he never took it seriously. he’d known you forever, and anytime he felt you unconsciously slip into his thoughts, he felt embarrassed to be thinking of his best friend like that and pushed it away. but now, seeing a shirt he had worn a few days earlier now draped over what he can only presume as your bare torso, he was torn between feelings of cuteness aggression and wanting to rip the shirt off of you.
you could sense the gaze, looking towards his frame slumped at his desk, smiling as he turned away as though he'd been caught.
he cleared his throat. "so. where do you want to start?"
you weighed your response carefully.
stiles had left his flannel in your car the other night after dropping him off, and you hadn't taken it off since. originally, you'd put it in your backpack to bring to him the next day, however after being sleepless long enough, you grabbed it, hoping the extra warmth would send you dreaming.
you were awake the rest of the night.
you couldn't get over the smell. when his scent first hit your nose, you found it calming, sure it would bring you a sense of comfort and immediately put you to sleep. as it turns out, it was taunting.
with the smell of espresso and fresh linen overwhelming you, the only thing on your mind was stiles. everything about him, every memory of you two, every accidental touch -- suddenly, it was all you could think about.
in the back of your mind, you always knew there was something special about him. something deeper within him that drew the two of you together. stiles made you feel every single thing with so much more passion, so much more intention. but you'd brushed it off, convincing yourself you were crazy.
that he didn't feel that way.
but he was flustered, and you hoped you were right about why.
"so, where do you want to start?"
you let out a hum, toying with the topmost button on his flannel, blushing as you noticed his eyes honed in on your actions. you sat up slowly, trying to build any ounce of courage you had.
"i want to start with why you're being so weird today."
stiles cleared his thoat, scratching the back of his head and turning back towards his desk. he shuffled his papers. "I, uh I mean, I don't know what you're talking about, I'm being completely normal."
you sat up facing him, tugging at his sleeves. "sti-"
"why are you wearing my shirt?"
your eyes shot up and you frowned immediately. suddenly uncomfortable, you wrapped your arms around your waist and looked down.
"oh, im sorry, you left it in my car and I didn't think it would be--"
"no no it's okay i just-"
"-- an issue, i have a sweatshirt in my bag I can--"
"-- i like it"
you looked up at him, completely silent. your brain fought hard to process what he said and how you could be reading it incorrectly.
"you..."
"i'm sorry, i, that sounded weird, jesus. i just mean its fine that you, you know you're wearing it, and--"
"stiles."
he shut up. he knew he was rambling and he just hoped he wasn’t reading the situation incorrectly. he locked eyes with you, anxious and listless.
"i wore it so you would notice."
stiles felt hot again.
he took a shaky breath, trying to think past the growing tension in the room. he wheeled his chair closer where you were sitting.
"oh"
you swung your feet over the edge of the bed.
"yeah"
both of you would swear that time stopped. the air got thick, and the moment was a blur. you don't know who made the first move, but suddenly you were both standing, your lips against each other in a relieving kiss. neither of you had allowed yourselves to imagine this moment seriously, yet here it was, and you had no idea how you’d lived without it before this.
his lips moved sweetly across yours, nervous but needy. it felt like forever before you pulled away, your body impatiently reminding you of its need to breathe.
both of you blushed, foreheads touching as you relished in the moment.
"i think i'm going to start forgetting my clothes around you more often."

“I need to talk to you and not as your friend.”
Stiles and Derek are engaged, but Cora has something to talk to Stiles about first, and not as his friend. [AO3]
Tumblr media
Cora, Derek and Stiles sat in the living room, Cora and Stiles at opposite ends of the couch with Derek wedge between them.
They’d made it a tradition that they spent Sundays together, unless - of course - there was an emergency. Most Sundays they’d go for a walk through the reserve, watch movies together, or play the world’s most competitive games of Mario Kart.
Today, they were playing a few multiplayer games get Stiles had found for them.
In between games, Derek set his controller down.
“I’m going to get a drink,” he announced as he stood up. “Anyone want anything?”
“Don’t say ‘that cake’,” Cora growled at Stiles who was openly ogling his fiancé’s ass.
Stiles smirked, chuckling slightly. “Dr Pepper for me please.”
Derek turned to Cora, arching a brow and waiting for her request.
“Same,” Cora added. “Thanks.”
“Two Dr Peppers coming up,” Derek said as he skirted around the coffee table in the middle of the living room and out the door.
Once she was sure her brother was out of earshot, Cora scooted across the couch towards Stiles. She turned towards him and - rather abruptly - said, “I need to talk to you and not as your friend.” Stiles’ eyes widened with excitement. A small - joking - gasp escaped his lips. “We're friends?”
“Yes,” Cora replied, regretting it as she said it, “but if you tell anyone, I will deny it.”
Stiles nodded, expecting as much. “Okay. Will we still be friends after this conversation?”
“Yes, but I'm starting to reconsider my options.” Cora narrowed her eyes at him, a look of exasperation settling in to the shadows and creases of her face. “That’s beside the point! What I have to say now, I say as Derek's sister, not as your friend.”
“Okay...” Stiles replied, hesitantly.
Cora drew in a deep breath, calming herself.
“You two are getting married, and I'm happy for both of you,” she started, but her voice quickly took a dark turn, deepening to a threatening tone as her eyes pierced him, “but if you ever hurt my brother, if you ever break his heart or make him cry, I will hunt you down and kill you, got it?”
Stiles swallowed hard and nodded. “Got it.”
Cora’s glare softened as she sat back, relaxed. “Okay.”
“Are you back to talking to me as a friend again?” Stiles asked.
Cora fought the urge to roll her eyes. “Yeah.”
A spark of mischief lit Stiles’ eyes. “Dude, you won't believe what Derek's sister just said to me!”
Cora tried - and failed - not to laugh, letting out a short snort as she dipped her head to hide the smirk that turned up the corners of her lips.
