Page 1 TEETH THEET THETE TEETH +
I got that mouth sadness ------ We all got mouth sadness. IS THERE ANY OTHER KIND?
Stay golden you stupid fuckin' gob!
I want visible dental work - [AU]RGH
Page 2 ROT ROT ROT ROT ROT ROT ROT ROT It's just that I feel I [ROT] create my whole self through my mouth. It's where the talking, [ROT] eating, sex - so much of the self happens in the my mouth. ROT ROT I MAKE MYSELF [ROT] THROUGH MY MOUTH ROT ROT ROTTED ROTTED ROTTED ROTTED ROTTED ROTTED ROTTED
and when dental work is happening or immanent, I feel existential dread like real bone-pain* existential dread.
VISIBLE MENDING
Stones Corner Dental - from last year when I had a gold crown installed. I got it because I think visible mending is cool. And because I like the phrase "a rat with a gold tooth". And because if it's gonna cost 2K, I reckon it should look expensive. And because so much dental work gets done, and hidden, it has become such an enormous class signifier. Quiet Luxury, is people never noticing your teeth.
And because of Garden State and New Slang - The Shins Gold Teeth and a Curse for this Town. Were all in my mouth.
*Bone-Pain is a term I heard when a student dentist was removing my wisdom teeth. I was awake in the chair, they were using a bone saw to remove the root of the tooth from my jaw bone, and their supervising professor lent across my open maw and looking into my face said: "I know you're still feeling pain, I can see it in your face. Unfortunately we've already given you three blocks (anesthetic) and that's all we can give in this clinic. Not that it would help all that much because what you're feeling is "bone-pain", all I can say is - it'll be over soon".
I tell this story all the time, because I'll never forget. Teeth are a monster. Teeth are a blight! TEETH TEETH TEETH TEETH.

one thing that was v jarring about work capability assessment is she kept talking about my Depression, cuz it's. well i don't have an official diagnosis i don't think but i am on antidepressants so as far as the dwp's concerned it's the only thing that's Real. and i literally don't even really think of myself as Having Depression any more cuz i have cycled through 'if i work out the single just right diagnosis it will fix me' and i'm back at 'i am Insane but who isn't'. crazy in the political class sense. i do still fit the diagnostic criteria for major depressive disorder or w/e the actual official term is these days but that's not my Main Issue. my Main Issues are a) brain needs stimulants to work b) country descending rapidly into fascism c) over ten years into a tory govt d) cannot afford a therapist. at this point the depression is like the season one antagonist seven seasons into the tv show

Oh my goodness.  I’m sorry I have a life, unlike you all.
I can’t lay in bed or sit on my couch all day watching a medical drama or scrolling through Instagram to post something “aesthetic” on my story.
No, I didn't get a job.  Believe it or not you don’t need one to be a productive member of society.  Simply existing and voicing your opinion is enough.  And I’ve been doing plenty of that.
No you cannot follow me anywhere that might have my real name on it because I don’t want you ugly, jealous, skinny, acne prone, limp hair, gargoyle beyotches to harass me because you can’t get a date.
Anyways (just know I fully rolled my eyes when I typed that) I have been BUSY!  My google calendar has NO white space.  Every moment of my life is booked and accounted for.  And I am HAPPY.  This is what happiness is.  Being so productive that you can’t even think about anything below the surface is the cure to depression.  You should try it.

🦷 🦷 🦷 {traumatic flashback tiem} -Cabal
Dream's hand is on his jaw.
He knows that hand better than his own. Knows to expect an adjustment of some kind; to feel his lord's will pass through him and change something they've found wanting, whether it's the depth of his hungers, the set of his jaw, or some strange unnameable thing only Dream can feel. None of those this time: my teeth, the Corinthian thinks, knows, by the way Dream's hand drifts upwards towards his right eye. He starts to open it wider, playing at being docile because he's not allowed to bite and it'll go faster if he doesn't struggle, but--
A metallic clink: pliers in a bowl of teeth, HIS teeth, pried from one eye socket with surgical precision while he thrashed and roared and wept like an animal, which he wasn't and had never been. Cabal knew as much as he did that the thing on the table (himself, though he tried desperately to pretend it was something else, that he was somewhere else, that this wasn't happening) wasn't a person. He told it as much, very casually, and ignored the Corinthian's agonised snarl of protest when another tooth was pulled loose. Whatever was streaming from his mouth wasn't blood, and he wanted to push it back in along with the teeth Cabal had taken, but he couldn't MOVE.
He came back to himself in a slow, strange wave, and was appalled to find that two things had happened without his permission. The first was that his teeth were clamped around Dream's knuckles, desperately trying to sever his fingers, which hadn't bled so much as a drop in response. That was bad enough, but the second--the second was that his whole body was shaking, heaving with frantic breaths and sobs like an animal with an actual nervous system, which wasn't a reaction he could remember ever having to anything before, and Dream wasn't bleeding but the Corinthian's eyes were definitely wet with something.
Horrified, he did the only thing his instincts would let him: he bit down harder.

I’m so excited to get a good smile and healthy teeth. I’ve been self conscious about my teeth/smile my whole life. Yes, it’s more important that they’re healthy, and for the most part, they’ve gotten better on that front, so I think I can be a little vain and want to feel good about myself for once.

CARE OF THE TEETH.—The best time for cleaning the teeth is before breakfast. The first thing every morning, is to rinse the mouth out with cold water; then gently to pass over the gums (inwardly and outwardly) a fine piece of sponge fastened to an ivory handle, moistened with an equal quantity of tincture of myrrh and rose-water; after which, rub the surface of the teeth with a similar piece of sponge, moistened with the diluted tincture of myrrh, as above, with the surface covered with finely-levigated charcoal of the areca-nut. Then finish, by rinsing the mouth out again with cold water. A brush is sufficient for removing any morbid secretion of the gums that may collect on the inside and between the teeth. If this simple treatment be adopted, the person may be assured that he shall remain free from any fresh disease of the teeth, or pains in the jaw, and that the carious teeth which may have existed at the time, will be rendered sweet, and the progress of the disease effectually suspended.

Enhancing Dental Practices through Innovative Research
AcademicStrive #ResearchArticle #PeerReview #InnovativeResearch #Dental
The dentistry field is evolving constantly, and it’s important to be updated on the recent upgrades on the dentistry field. Academic Strive’s Dentistry & Dental Practices Journal (DDPJ) open access journal provides a lot of scientific advanced articles, and it’s open to readers for read freely. Here a discussion form an article:
They did two case studies:
Case 1: A complete denture replacement – replica technique using silicone impressions proved successful. Case 2: A slightly ill-fitting lower partial denture – relining with silicone was effective, avoiding a complete rebuild.
Tumblr media
Takeaway:
These cases highlight the success of replica techniques for complete dentures and relining for minor adjustments in partial acrylic dentures, both using silicone impressions.
Replica Dentures: Pros and Cons
Pros: Easy to create with stable impression materials, shorter appointments, easier patient adaptation due to familiarity with the existing teeth setup.
Cons: Requires thorough inspection of existing dentures to ensure suitability (e.g., no significant wear or incorrect tooth placement).
Relining Partial Dentures
Relining is a good choice for minor adjustments in partial dentures, especially for first-time denture wearers who need time to adapt.
Key Points required for Dental Teams:
Knowledge & Skill: Staying up-to-date on techniques like relining ensures successful treatment without compromising patient satisfaction.
Patient Selection: Careful evaluation of existing dentures is crucial for successful replica dentures.
Material Selection: Choosing the right reline material (soft or hard) is essential for patient comfort.
Checklists: Focus on core aspects like denture fit, occlusion, and clasp placement, which helps to reach successful outcomes.
Future Directions:
This articles concludes that improvement of retention and stability of dentures satisfy patients and impact their quality of life. The article also encourages authors to submit their research findings to the Dentistry & Dental Practices Journal (DDPJ) to contribute to the global knowledge base.
Innovative research is essential for enhancing dental practices and improving patient care. Contribute to Academic Strive and help us in advancing dentistry. To read the original Article kindly visit: https://academicstrive.com/DDPJ/DDPJ180049.pdf

I found the dental products I'd been wanting at Smith's too, by the way. I'm pretty happy about that. The tooth paste I made due with as of late wasn't (and will never be) compatible with my sensory stuff.
