COSTUME TIME :D I know a lot of people love analyzing costume design… yeah you’d be better off just looking at promo photos. Most costume pieces were behind glass and extremely difficult to take clear photos of. Doesn’t mean I don’t have some cool things to share though. Note that some photos have a slight filter to make them easier to see.
This was the Ponyboy and Johnny display. Pretty much the entirety of Johnny’s clothes are shown here, as well as Pony’s rumble day fit. Johnny’s poor shoes are busted and if you look closely you can see holes in many of the greaser’s fits. You can also see my grandmother in the reflection lol. I really like that Johnny and Pony are housed together, and they definitely have the most intricate display which I think is deserved. Also shown is a first edition copy of the book and the movie clacker Coppola used.
Some more fits that should be. very recognizable. Did my best to avoid reflections, but as you can see with Steve it wasn’t always possible. The amount of orange on Steves outfit surprised me, and I wonder if that’s mud from the rumble. Some of these were displayed in the gift shop, including the DX shirt. You could buy a replica, but only for 75 bucks. Another option is to buy the patches and find your own jacket at a goodwill or something. Again, there is an online shop, definitely go check that out! Just in case it’s unclear, the denim jacket is Dally’s. Which shirt is your favorite?
Here are some soc fits, a jacket that belong to a greaser extra who was at the house as a guide, and a donated police uniform of the correct time period that isn’t actually from the film. Paul’s jacket may not be here but there are similar ones. Also, Two-bit’s orange Mickey shirt. Someone should definitely try to match the shirts to the film. Maybe I will someday.
Finally, Dallas’s poor jacket covered by glare (which was really cool to see in person I feel like it’s iconic) and some of Cherry’s costume pieces. If you look reeeaally closely at her skirt, it still has the coke stains from where she splashed Dally. That’s all for now! More soon!

To my hot friend @cigarboii
Luke and I have been online friends for a long time. I don't remember when we started chatting, but I suppose we met on Recon or fetishmen. We share plenty of kinks and we are both passionate smokers.
As I live in Mexico most of the year, only when I return to Europe we can meet, but for one reason or another, we had never met yet. So finally last month, once I was visiting my family in Barcelona he invited me to spend a weekend with him.
I was fucking excited because although we have jerked off online plenty of times, I was eager to finally meet him and play together in person. We perfectly know one each other and what we like.
Although I was going for just 3 days, I took all my gear for the occasion, leather, Adidas and denim, and I really hoped he let me use his skinhead gear that is still missing in my closet. Once I was at the airport I bought a couple of cartons for him as gratitude for inviting me. We are both heavy smokers, but that weekend I already knew that we would completely fuck our lungs. Luke was joking telling me that he had an oxygen mask so we could stand up on Monday.
Once I arrived to Brussels he was going to take me in the airport. Once I took my luggage, I want out to the parking zone. I looked for the smoking spot and I send him a pic with my first red in the country. Five minutes later he arrived to fetch me. We hug one each other as old friends.
He was wearing his TN, Adidas t-shirt and jacket and leather pants. And obviously he had a red waiting in his ear. As always, he made me get hard. My cock was already pressing my Levi's. I also was wearing my red Adidas t-shirt but with my leather jacket and Levi's.
The plan was first go for dinner and then party in Brussels. Then we would go to his village and next day to Antwerp.
We sat in his car. It was a completely mess. There were butts and ash everywhere. And was plenty of empty packs.
-i always keep them because sometimes there still reds inside. By the way bro, I have forgotten my carton at home and I have just two reds left in my pack, I have to go to to a tobacco shop first.
I took my bag and I opened it.
-this is for you, dude, it's my way to thank you- I said giving him the two cartons of Marlboro- I know that here is much more expensive so I have come well provided.
-wow man! Thank you! You know how to make me happy!
He then light his red and started riding to the city center.
-i should put my gear, bro! - I told him.
-you don't need more, Pep. It's perfect what you are wearing. I love your trashed Levi's and your red Adidas t-shirt.
-i mean, as I had to go through the metal controls I saved my harness and jocks in my luggage. But I would love to wear it for Brussels party night.
-oh, sure bro! I'm wearing them too. I think it's better if instead of carrying your bag looking for a toilet once we park and you put your gear on.
We ride for 15 minutes more. We were chaining all time. Everytime we finished our reds, I took 2 from the pack, spark up them and give it one to Luke.
I coughed a little after doing a couple of deep drags.
-you should quit bro! - said Luke ironically, laughing with his red dangling.
-once I die, I will stop smoking!- I said exhaling the smoke on him.
The smoke inside the car was so thick that Luke told me that he had poor driving visibility.
We finally arrived to the parking spot next to the city. There was no people in the streets and just a lonely park with some benches with few young men making fuss. I then took my gloves, my harness and jocks from my luggage and put it on.
Luke took his Adidas jacket and I put my leather jacket.
-are we going to come back to the car before the club?
-We can go directly, I would take now all you need.
-ok I will take another pack then- I opened my carton to take one more pack for the night. I was already wearing one still full and the other one almost finished, so it was better to go well stocked.
He did the same, and took two packs from the carton I had given him.
Watching him made me fucking crazy. I grab my red from my lips and I balanced on him, kissing it and swapping my smoke.
We kept kissing five minutes. Everytime I wanted to breathe I sucked the smoke from his mouth, and he did the same. Our cocks were completely hard. It was the best way to start the night.
Finally we decided to move and go for a bench in a less exposed zone. He gave me a plastic bag with 6 beers and he closed the car.
The plan was start drinking in the park. We are not rich men, so he told me that we could drink there and arrive to the club already happy. Besides we could be free to smoke there too.
We finally looked for a bench, we sat there and we opened our first bottles of beer.
We started talking about our lives as two good friends. There were few people in the park, but twice young men came to ask us for a cig. It's polite in the smoker's community to calm the cravings of a brother needing a cig. We all have needed it, and its really strange that another smoker don't offer you a cig. We were there for one hour until we finished the beers.
Then we decided to go for something to eat before going to the fetish bar. Once we sat on the terrace, the waiter came and we both ordered burgers and beer. The waiter brought us a clean ashtray after we put our opened packs on the table.
Once we finished our burgers, Luke told me:
-bro, I also have a present for you
And then he opened his fanny pack and took two wide gars.
-yeah! Thanks bro!- I said doing the last drag of my red.
Although I rarely smoke gars, he is a great "aficionado". I had always ask him to teach me to learn to enjoy a good gar.
Once we had our gars lit we decided to post a pic on Instagram to see if any friend was going to join us later.
Although I definitely prefer my reds (perhaps just because I'm used to it) I loved the natural scents and taste of the gar. I have always felt strange by not inhaling the smoke and just taste it in the mouth, but anyway it was a big present. Around 30 minutes later we finished our gars, and after doing two rounds of shots, we paid the bill and finally we went to the fetish club already a little bit drunk and with our lungs fully charged. Actually we were like 15 minutes without sparking up, the largest span of time of the night.
We didn't walk much until we finally made for the pub. As Luke expected there were quite fetish men gathered there because there was the skinhead night. Inside the pub smoking wasn't allowed, so we joined the other smokers that were standing up next to the door surrounding a big ashtray that was already completely full of ash and butts.
There were three skinheads with cigs on one hand and a beer on the other. Although we love our Adidas gear, we damned not going with our skinhead gear too. At least, although I wasn't wearing bleachers, I was wearing Levi's as almost all men in the party.

Dispatches: Spring Break
Portland, OR / April 10th / Dorm Room
Hugo awoke from his nap plastered in jizz, chocolate syrup, and ice cream. He was already hard again, his erection comfortably sandwiched between his expansive thighs and ballooning gut. He started jerking absentmindedly but then remembered he had to save his loads for when he was stuffing. He always ate more when he was horny.
He lurched out of bed, his stomach sloshing with an unholy combination of cafeteria food, Boost VHC, and ice cream. He burped and rubbed his stomach, fingering the four stretch marks around his belly. He was determined to add a fifth and sixth by the time spring break was over and his roommate returned to the dorm.
After rinsing off in the shower he pulled on a size small T-shirt. Hugo had never fit into a small. His pig brain took one night and he ordered it online whilst fapping. It was the perfect shirt to wear to the grocery store. A solid two, maybe three, inches of belly fat hung free beneath the hem. Some gray sweatpants showed off his half chubbed dick and caked up ass. A denim jacket that could no longer button accentuated his protuberant gut.
Wobbling to the market on foot Hugo relished the stares his exposed overhang garnered. This was the only exercise he got without any classes. He was at the grocery store nearly every day, racking up charges parents’ credit card. The swoosh of the automatic doors felt like the embrace of an old friend as his eyes lit up at the aisles of food waiting to fatten him up.
He grabbed a cart and started in the frozen food section. Pizza, chicken wings, pasta, you name it. His criteria when shopping: does it look good and is it fattening. He moved on to ice cream, multiple tubs, and then alcohol. He tended to stick with boxed wine because it was cheap and went down easy. Next was the dairy aisle, his favorite. Butter, whole milk, heavy cream, whipped cream, sour cream, they all made it into his cart. This was usually when people started to stare.
He knew what he looked like. A young fat white slob whose clothes didn’t even fit him, gorging himself on dairy and junk food outside of his parents’ watchful eyes. People regarded him with shock and disgust, sometimes pity. He relished every moment.
After a long meander down the snack food aisle and a quick detour through produce just for show, Hugo went to the register. The cashier awkwardly rang up the food while trying not to look at Hugo’s exposed lard, hairy and hanging heavy with stretch marks. The total was nearly two hundred dollars and at that moment he realized he had forgotten his personal cart for the walk home. Hugo was blighted with carrying all of this home by hand, unless…
He pulled out his phone and ordered a rideshare. It was only three blocks, but what was a fat boy supposed to do? Go home empty handed? Or worse, burn all the calories it would take to carry this back himself?
The rideshare driver regarded Hugo with more disgust than anyone at the grocery store. With the backseat filled with groceries, Hugo sat in the front. He made a show of breathing heavy and scratching at his stretch marks, even burping a couple times on purpose. The driver could barely contain himself when Hugo asked for help unloading the groceries. He still obliged.
Hugo’s room was dark and dingy, covered in take out containers, smelling of dick. “Fuckin’ pig” the driver muttered under his breath when he first walked in. When they were finished, he looked directly at the soft roll of flesh hanging over Hugo’s elastic pants and said “hit the gym, man.”
Hugo shut the door and cracked a Boost.

GUS TAKES ANYA ON A DATE WEARING MUDDY BOOTS - INSIDERS WORRY HE MIGHT NOT FIT IN WITH ROYALS
Lovebirds Anya and Gus were once again photographed holding hands, this time while strolling around the Harbour District here in the city.
Gus, Anya's new-old-boyfriend (a.k.a her first love), seem to be unfazed by the massive media scrutiny and attention they've both been receiving, after going public with their relationship.
While many royal watchers seem to approve of down-to-earth Gus, what with his seeming love for flannel, unkempt hair, bushy beard and lowly work boots, Anya's new boyfriend has also ruffled some feathers, especially those within the "institution."
A well-placed palace source reveals that there have been some concerns about how Gus might not be the right guy for Anya:
"He seems very... simple, very 'everyman' type, if you will. Now, most people might think that's adorable, you know, future Queen slumming it with a man in flannel and denim and all that, but it's already causing trouble within the palace walls."
"As early as now, there are some growing concerns about Gus and whether he's the right man for Anya. They have history, yes, but they did also break-up at one point. What was the problem that they had to go their separate ways? That right here might be an indication that this relationship will again break down."
"And then of course, there's Gus himself - he's no longer just Anya's teenage love... he's evolved into this lumberjack-looking wall of tattooed muscle with his messy beard, wrinkled clothes, and long hair. People at court just cannot imagine him attending a state banquet or a formal reception. They're worried he might trudge around in his muddy work boots, and soil the carpets."
Speaking of muddy boots, the "concerns' about Gus and his fashion sense might have some weight to it. For yesterday's date, Gus chose a red flannel shirt, which he paired with his go-to jeans and very, very muddy work boots. His long hair was at least kept neat in a man-bun. His rough look was in stark contrast to Anya, who opted for a simple white shirt, skinny jeans and §1,700 slingbacks.
Just as the source shared, people online are already split about Gus. One commenter wrote:
"FFS, how hard is it to clean off the mud? I get that you're looking for the humble, blue collar vibe, but really? You're going out IN PUBLIC with a freaking FUTURE QUEEN. The least you can do is look presentable. Maybe iron that shirt, wear something else other than your work clothes. You're going on a DATE, not to one of your construction sites."
Another posted:
"Maaan. Anya traded down. Mario was kinda psycho stalkerish, but at least the man knew how to look good. Come to think of it, even the boxer vet was a better dresser than this bloke. I don't get the appeal. I like my guys looking like they've showered... or at least heard of soap... and maybe buy clothes from real shops, not just thrift stores or their dad's closet."
Meanwhile, some were also quick to defend Anya and Gus from the bashers:
"THIS is exactly why Anya fights super hard to keep her private life out of the public eye. She's finally comfortable enough to flaunt their love and people are nitpicking again, questioning her choices and tearing down her boyfriend. For what? Some mud on his boots. Ridiculous. He's insanely handsome, like a romance novel hero come to life! What are y'all talking about? And the only thing I think should be improved is his beard - it's a shame because the scruff is hiding his lovely dimples! A bit of a trim should do the trick! "
Another Anya fan wrote:
"If people could just back off and let the poor girl and her man breathe! Why are you all so triggered? You're not dating him, she is! If she likes him the way he is, who are you to say otherwise? Anya really can't do anything right... when she's single, she's being pressured to find a man and pop a baby. Now that she's dating, she's being told that she's dating the wrong guy. And for those claiming that he's a no-good gold-digger, please! I'm Tartosan. The man's company is huge and the guy is loaded. I think Anya looks happy - they both look very happy, and at the end of the day, that's what counts.""
Will Gus' lifestyle really be an issue? And considering their previous break-up, is history bound to repeat itself? For what it's worth, Anya does seem very happy and very secure in their newly-rekindled love. I guess only time will tell if these two have staying power the second time around.

Battle Jacket Tips! Yippee!!
I'm hyperfixating, so be warned that this might be rambly and a lot longer than it needs to be, but I promise these are good tips
I'll try to put all my rambles in small text and if it gets too long, I'll stick it under a read-more-- oh, would you look at that
For starters, what is a battle jacket? Maybe you've just stumbled across this post and have no context, or maybe you're researching bc you think you might be interested in making one, here's a short explanation:
Battle jackets are a popular garment in a lot of alternative communities. Punk and metal are the biggest two that I'll be focusing on, but there's genuinely no limit to the "genres" that a battle jacket could belong to. I don't like country music, but like, if you want to make a country battle jacket, do it! Have fun!
Battle jackets are typically either leather or denim and covered in patches and pins to the wearer's taste. Punk battle jackets might include more political sentiments and DIY than say, a metal battle jacket, but of course, there are no rules, and my battle jackets tend to be a bit of a mix of punk and metal. Remember: There are no rules, these are all just suggestions.
The Base:
A few suggestions for your first battle jacket:
Do thrift your starting garment. If you can't find something exactly like what you're looking for, don't sweat it. Find something "good enough" and get started. That's what fabric dye and scissors are for. DIY or Die is the motto here. My most recent battle vest started life blue and with sleeves. Now it's black with big yellow panels in the sides.
Do get your jacket a little bigger than usual. Patches can stiffen up the garment and make it feel tighter, plus, if you wear it year round you'll wanna be able to put it over your coat in the colder season. I actually have two vests, a warm weather and a cold weather vest. The warm weather vest is a lot smaller so it doesn't hang off me when I'm just wearing a shirt, but I recommend starting with a larger vest and doing the "warm weather" vest as a second project.
Don't buy a premade battle jacket, especially fast fashion. The whole point is to make it to your tastes, so buying a jacket with someone else's patches and pin picks kinda mucks up the best parts of making a unique, custom garment. Also, the fast fashion industry is horrifically exploitative, and supporting it financially isn't very punk. If you've already done so, don't beat yourself up. We're all learning and growing. Take the things you learn and grow from them in the future. That is punk.
The Patches:
The biggest patch on a battle jacket is your "back patch." They're huge and seen as the sort of "keystone" of a jacket. They're not a requirement, but I like them a lot. Usually, the patch is of the wearer's favorite album, or something similar, but they can be anything you want. Tarot cards, art pieces. Go nuts and find something that brings you joy. My first vest was very "traditional" with a Metallica Master of Puppets patch, but my second one has painted + embroidered handprints from all my long-distance friends so I can keep them with me <3
Do buy directly from band websites, or from the merch stands at live shows! That's my favorite way to get patches, even if they might be expensive or have iffy manufacturing ethics because it shows where my vest has been and what it's seen.
Do buy from small businesses and online vendors. Try your local craft fairs, or Etsy shops for patches you like. They might be pricier, but that's just because the seller isn't exploiting factory workers and valuing their own time.
Do make your own patches! I might go more into this later, or on a different post, but there are a lot of ways to make your own patches. Embroidery, paint, stenciling, etc. You can get fabric quarters at most craft supply places for like $3 USD tops or free if there's a local Hobby Lobby. Acrylic paint works, though it might crack a bit over time. Fabric paint is pretty widely available and gives a smoother look.
Don't just buy wholesale packs of patches on Amazon. Like the above point about premade jackets, bulk patch packs are often made in exploitative sweatshop conditions, and Amazon should be used sparingly because even if the manufacturer is ethical, Amazon's warehouses are not. Also like the above, don't beat yourself up if you already bought a pack of patches. I did it too, when I first started, you live and you learn.
Don't wear patches for bands you don't know. I mean, you can, I'm not a cop, but you will look like a poser.
Non-Patch Editions:
I said it before, and I'll say it again. There are no rules. You don't have to limit yourself just to patches to customize your jacket. Have fun with it. Here's a list of options to give you ideas, based on things that I've done or want to do on my own.
Embroider directly on the fabric! I put spider webs and violets on my vests just because I like them and think embroidery is fun.
Spikes and studs!! You can get packs of spikes from lots of places (some more ethically than others) or you can make your own. As a disclaimer, some music venues may raise issues with pointier bits, as they could cause injury to other people, so use your best judgment.
Add other metal bits! Can tabs, lighter hoods, chains, keys, washers, nails, bolts, and pieces of scrap metal are all pretty fun to play around with!
Corsetting. Whether as a resizing measure or just for the aesthetic, get some eyelets and throw some ribbon in there. Could be fun!
Pins! I've mentioned them before, but also you can make your own with some bottle caps and a safety pin. Or repaint buttons you already have. I've kept the same little pronoun pin I repainted with nail polish for almost a decade, and it's still in great shape.
Putting it all together:
These are some general tips for putting all the pieces together, and honestly was supposed to be the whole post, but I like to talk so here we go!!
Lay out everything first before sewing it down. I have ripped up more patches than I care to admit, just to sew them back down on another part of the jacket.
Big tip for the mix-patch crowds, keep all your political patches on the front of the jacket. The idea is, if some asshole has a problem with your opinions, you want to see them coming. You don't want them sneaking up behind you.
Thread. Elder Punks often recommend dental floss for fastening patches to your jacket bc of its strength and rightfully sew (hahaha!). However, if you'd like more colorful options, try upholstery thread. It's super strong, and it's what I use on all of my own jackets. Though, I do keep floss and a needle around for convenient repairs. The box has its own thread cutter!
Needles. If you're like me and have shitty old person hands at the ripe old age of 23, those tiny dollar store needles will make your hands cramp up like a motherfucker. For this reason, I use doll needles. My default needle came in a walmart pack, and I use the smallest gauge, 3 in long needle. The thicker ones are too hard to get through the fabric. It's much easier to grab and easier on my hands.
Thimbles. Even with big-ass doll needles, sometimes it's difficult to grab them well enough to get through really thick fabrics. That's what thimbles are for (not to keep you from pricking yourself with the sharp end). Get yourself one, or improvise something similar, it will save your life.
Stitching. Sew down all of your patches, even the ones that claim to be "iron-on" because in my experience the iron-on adhesive fails pretty quickly. I recommend a whip or blanket stitch, so the edges don't peel up or fray (as handmade patches might). If you're moshing, a lot of folks claim that floss is best because it keeps people from ripping off your patches. Respectfully, I think that's a bunch of horseshit. If you don't want your patches ripped off, make them harder to grab onto. Keep your stitches small and close together so assholes can't get a grip on them. That said, I've never actually had someone try to rip off my patches in the pit or otherwise, so use your own discretion.
Washing. A lot of hardcore crust punks will tell you never to wash your battle jacket, but crust punk isn't for everyone. I wash my jacket every year or so, and it's pretty easy to do as long as nothing on your vest is susceptible to damage in water (I had some early patches that I finished with Modpodge that were ruined in the first wash, so keep that in mind). If you're confident in your stitchwork, just toss the vest in a garment washing bag or a pillowcase and chuck it in the wash with everything else. If you're a little more cautious, it's easy enough to hand wash it in a tub/sink and hang it out to dry. Don't use bleach or you'll probably ruin something.

Grunge Glamour: Your Guide to Indie Sleaze Fashion Staples
Hey babe! 🌸 Ready to dive into the world of grunge glamour? We’re talking about the fashion staples that defined the indie sleaze era—skinny jeans, band tees, vintage leather jackets, and all the effortlessly cool vibes that come with them. Whether you’re a longtime fan of the look or just getting into it, I’ve got all the tips and tricks you need to rock that indie sleaze style like the icon you are. So grab your shopping list, put on your favorite playlist, and let’s get into it! 🎧✨
Grunge Glamour: The Essentials of Indie Sleaze Style 🌟
If you were around during the mid-2000s, you know that the indie sleaze era was all about a perfect mix of grunge and glamour. It was messy, it was edgy, and it was oh-so-stylish. The key to nailing this look is all about balancing those rough-around-the-edges vibes with just the right amount of chic. Think Kate Moss meets Karen O with a little bit of early 2000s Alexa Chung thrown in for good measure.
Ready to recreate that effortlessly cool, don’t-care-but-still-look-amazing vibe? Let’s break down the must-have pieces that every indie sleaze lover needs in their wardrobe.
1. Skinny Jeans: The Ultimate Indie Sleaze Staple 👖
Skinny jeans were the thing back in the day, and for good reason. They’re versatile, flattering, and the perfect base for any grunge-inspired outfit. Whether you’re going for a classic black pair or something a bit more distressed, skinny jeans are an absolute must in your indie sleaze wardrobe.
Classic Black Skinnies: You can never go wrong with a pair of classic black skinny jeans. They go with everything and can easily be dressed up or down. Pair them with a band tee and a leather jacket for a quintessential indie look, or throw on a blazer and some ankle boots for a night out.
Distressed Denim: If you’re looking to add some edge to your outfit, distressed skinny jeans are the way to go. The more rips and tears, the better! These jeans add a little bit of rock ‘n’ roll to your look and are perfect for those days when you want to channel your inner rockstar.
High-Waisted Styles: For a more modern take on the indie sleaze look, go for high-waisted skinny jeans. They’re super flattering and give off that cool, retro vibe. Tuck in your favorite band tee, throw on a belt, and you’re good to go.
Shopping Tip: When shopping for skinny jeans, make sure they have a bit of stretch so they’re comfortable enough to wear all day (and night!). Don’t be afraid to hit up thrift stores for some amazing vintage finds or look for brands known for their quality denim.
2. Band Tees: Show Your Love for Music 🎤
No indie sleaze wardrobe is complete without a collection of band tees. These aren’t just shirts; they’re statements. Wearing a band tee is all about showing off your love for music, whether it’s an indie darling or a rock legend.
Vintage Finds: There’s something so special about a vintage band tee that’s been worn and loved over the years. It’s like wearing a piece of music history. Scour thrift stores, flea markets, and online vintage shops for tees that have that perfectly worn-in feel.
DIY and Customized Tees: Can’t find the exact band tee you’re looking for? Get creative! DIY your own by cutting, distressing, or tie-dyeing a plain tee. You can even add patches, pins, or screen print your favorite band’s logo onto a plain shirt for a custom look.
Oversized vs. Fitted: Both oversized and fitted band tees have their place in the indie sleaze aesthetic. An oversized tee with skinny jeans gives off that effortlessly cool, borrowed-from-your-boyfriend vibe, while a fitted tee tucked into high-waisted jeans is more polished but still edgy.
Shopping Tip: When hunting for band tees, don’t just stick to the women’s section—check out the men’s section for oversized fits or hit up the kids’ section for cropped tees. And remember, the more worn-in, the better!
3. Vintage Leather Jackets: The Cool Girl’s Armor 🧥
A vintage leather jacket is the ultimate indie sleaze statement piece. It’s tough, it’s timeless, and it instantly adds that rockstar edge to any outfit. Whether you’re throwing it on over a dress or pairing it with jeans and a tee, a leather jacket is a wardrobe essential.
Classic Black Leather: A black leather jacket is a no-brainer. It’s versatile and goes with literally everything. Look for one with a slightly oversized fit, so you can layer it over chunky sweaters in the winter or just a tee in the summer.
Distressed and Worn-In: The best leather jackets are the ones that have seen some life. Look for jackets that have a bit of wear and tear—scuffs, scratches, and even a little fading give the jacket character and make it feel lived-in.
Moto Style: If you want to add some extra edge to your look, go for a moto-style leather jacket with zippers, studs, and all the bells and whistles. It’s a bit more daring but oh-so-cool.
Shopping Tip: Vintage stores are your best bet for finding a quality leather jacket that won’t break the bank. If you’re buying new, invest in a piece that will last you for years to come—real leather only gets better with age!
4. Mixing and Matching: The Indie Sleaze Way 🎨
The magic of indie sleaze style is all about mixing and matching. Don’t be afraid to pair something ultra-glam with something super grungy—like a sequined top with ripped jeans or a floral dress with combat boots. The key is to look like you just threw it all together but somehow ended up looking amazing.
Accessories: Add some personality to your look with accessories like beanies, oversized sunglasses, and chunky jewelry. Don’t forget a scarf for that effortlessly chic touch.
Layers, Layers, Layers: Layering is your best friend when it comes to indie sleaze. Think flannels over tees, jackets over dresses, and scarves over everything. It’s all about creating a look that feels a little messy but totally put together.
Shopping Tip: When mixing and matching, think outside the box! Pair unexpected items together and see what works. Indie sleaze is all about breaking the fashion rules, so have fun with it!
