Daughter of the Sea
Chapter Twenty-Three: I Save the Camp from Flooding...Kinda
(Read on AO3 here)
That night before bed, I told Percy about our mission. I told him about running into Kronos and what he said to me. I couldn’t bring myself to tell him how much I believed him, though. I wanted to—I hated keeping things from Percy. But staring into his green eyes, so full of worry, I just couldn't burden him with my own pain. He carried so much already, he didn’t need to bear my sadness, too.
So I left out my doubts, the abandonment I had always felt. I didn’t tell him how tempted I was to let it all go and join the Titan. But even so, a part of me wondered if Percy could see through me, even if just a little. He didn’t say anything, didn’t ask, but the way he looked at me…like he was scared. I had never seen Percy look scared like that before.
“I’m proud of you, sis.” he said finally. “It’s not easy to stare down Kronos and get away. Trust me, I know.”
I managed a smile at him. “If we hadn’t been on the water, I would’ve been a goner.”
Percy just shrugged. “That doesn’t discount what you did do. There have been plenty of times I could say the same thing.” His eyes got far away then, as if he was lost in thought, or trying to think of the right thing to say.
“Angie?” He said finally.
“Yeah?”
“Just…be careful. Don’t listen to anything he said, don’t let his lies get in your head. I hope—” he took a deep breath and then looked me in the eyes. “I hope you never actually feel like that.”
I almost answered him truthfully, but when I looked at him, it was like he aged ten years. His eyes were so heavy, his face was so burdened. His shoulders were slumped. I just couldn’t bring myself to do it.
“Of course not.” I lied, trying very hard to make it believable. I was a pretty good liar, but lying to Percy was different. It was like lying to myself.
He sighed deeply, walking over to the light switch and turning off the lights without a word. I listened as he crawled into his bed, and waited for him to say goodnight.
Silence hung in the air, the only sound the tossing and turning coming from my brother's bunk. Eventually I closed my eyes and drifted into a fitful sleep.
July came and nothing changed much. We filled our days with training, although with noticeably more military drills than normal, and people floated in and out of camp depending on the missions that were assigned. The Fourth passed with our usual fireworks celebration on the beach, but it just didn’t feel the same. Everyone tried to be happy, and pretend the pretty lights in the sky took away the fear that was growing in our hearts, but with all the forced smiles and light laughter, there was still that darkness hanging over our heads.
Percy and I sat alone on the beach away from everyone, and we hardly said a word. It had been harder for him to be around the other campers, he confided, since they all wanted to know what was happening in the War outside. They came to him with their questions, their expectations, their hopes, and Percy took the full burden onto his shoulders. And try as I might, there was nothing I could do to get him to share that weight.
And then there was The Prophecy. That was one thing nobody talked about, but was always on everyone's minds. It was always implied, always unsaid, always there between the lines. I wanted to talk about it, wanted to tell Percy that maybe, just maybe, that burden wasn’t his. Maybe it was mine.
And I think other people thought that, too.
But no matter what, the thing I could do was stay by him. Let him know I was there. Because I always would be, and I told him that much. He had even started to pull away from Annabeth, perhaps the one other person who could truly understand what he was going through. That worried me the most.
He didn’t get sent on another assignment until halfway through the month, which I was glad about. But then he was gone again, five days this time. And when he came back, with cuts on his arms and a black eye, he hardly said a word for days. He would walk around camp with a fake smile, which I could see through but apparently no one else could, and participated like normal.
But then he would get back to our cabin, and his face would fall and his eyes would go dark. He would say next to nothing to me, and I learned not to push him. We stopped playing rock-paper-scissors at night, and sometimes I could hear the quietest cries coming from his bunk. I fought the urge to crawl in the covers with him, to hold him close and tell him everything would be okay. I came close a few nights, even sitting up and putting my feet on the ground, but then the cries stopped and Percy faked sleep. The message was clear—he would rather take on the pain of the world than let someone he loved share the hurt.
I finally understood what Annabeth had meant almost a year ago when she told me that loyalty could be a very dangerous thing.
He started disappearing more often—the rest of the campers thought he was on assignments, but I knew that half the time he was really just at home. Usually this wouldn’t have been allowed, but these times weren’t usual.
Chiron had let him take breaks from camp, seeing the physical and emotional toll it was taking on him. Most days I couldn’t think of the pressure on my brother without breaking down. We were only fifteen, and yet he had the weight of the world on his shoulders, literally. Everyday we inched closer to our sixteenth birthday, and with it the inevitable battle that would either end in the destruction of the world as we knew it or victory. But either way, it would probably end with the death of me or my brother. Or both. And we knew that.
Despite Percy trying to assure me that he was the child of the prophecy, I never could get the idea out of my head. And most days I was grateful that it probably was him, but other days I just wanted to take it all away from him and take it myself. Not for the kleos, but to see my brother really smile again.
The worst part of the summer was the end of July, when Cady, Rosie, and Evan had been sent on another mission. To my annoyance, they listened to Chiron and didn’t tell me anything about it, although I almost got Rosie to spill the beans once or twice. Clearly it didn’t involve water, since I was noticeably left out this time. Or, it did, and Chiron just didn’t want to risk me running into Kronos again. I had never told him what the Titan said, but I got the feeling the centaur somehow knew the words had gotten under my skin. Maybe he didn’t trust me to not give in—and deep down, I couldn't blame him.
Not only were my best friends gone, but Percy had also taken an extra long visit home, one that I begged to join him on but Chiron wouldn’t allow. This meant I wandered around alone most days, going from training session to training session by myself. Thankfully Annabeth was still at camp, so the two of us spent a lot more time together than we normally would.
We had come a long way in our year of friendship, and now I found myself confiding in her almost as much as I did in Cady. There were just some things, especially about Percy, that Annabeth could relate to more than anyone else, and so I found myself following the Athena cabin around like their lost little puppy. No one seemed to mind—Percy had been doing that for years.
I was walking back with Annabeth and her siblings from one of our mythology classes when a younger camper ran up to me, a child of Demeter, I thought.
“Excuse me, Angie Jackson?”
I smiled down at the girl, who couldn't have been more than twelve. “Yeah?”
“Could you help me?”
I shared a glance with Annabeth, who smiled and nodded. “We’ll see you at dinner.” she said, motioning for her siblings to keep walking. I turned back to the young girl.
“Of course. What do you need?”
“Follow me!”
She took off running in the direction of the forest, and for the briefest moment I faltered. The thought that raced through my mind made me shake my head—it was a ridiculous thought. A possibility so indicative of the times, it made me sad that it came to mind. This girl isn't leading you into a trap, I chided myself. She's a fellow demigod, and she needs your help.
I took off after her.
Eventually I caught up to her at the edge of the woods. She was panting slightly from the run, and for the first time I noticed how small she was, even for her age. My heart went out to her—she should’ve been on the playground, not doing military drills in the middle of a war.
“So, what’s the problem?”
“Just in here.” She continued, taking me towards the creek that ran through the trees.
The closer we got to the water, the more I could sense something was wrong. When we finally got to the clearing, I let out a gasp. The creek had risen a lot, flooding its banks and changing course—and it looked like it was only getting worse.
“Whoa.” I breathed out. I saw a small group of campers and an assortment of satyrs and nymphs just at the edge of the water. I followed the young girl to them.
“I got her!” She said triumphantly.
“Thanks, Marigold.” Katie Gardner, the Demeter cabin counselor said, giving her a smile. She turned to me. “Hey, Angie. We, uh, have a problem.”
“I can see that…did someone make a naiad angry?”
Katie sighed and glanced over to one of the boys standing by the water. “What gave it away?”
I let out a chuckle and shrugged. “What happened?”
“Well, we were trying to plant some new blackberry bushes along the edge of the forest, but the soil conditions were too dry. One of my siblings had the brilliant idea to, instead of moving the bushes, ask the river nymphs if they could create a smaller creek to run along the edge. You know, for the bushes.
I inhaled sharply. I was one of the only campers who knew the naiads well, and I loved hanging out with them, but I also knew they could be incredibly prideful—as most creatures of the water had a tendency to be.
“Let me guess—they didn’t like that very much?”
“Not at all.” Katie confirmed, shooting daggers at the sandy-haired boy.
“I said sorry, okay?”
“You offended the river nymphs, Andrew,” I thought I remembered the child of Demeter’s name, “it's gonna take more than an apology.”
“We were hoping you could talk to them.” Katie pleaded. “If this continues, we could have a real flood on our hands.”
“And we don't want Chiron finding out, do we?” I added.
A couple of the younger kids, including Andrew, looked down in shame. Katie just chuckled.
“Exactly.”
“Oh, I’m sure he already knows.” I said, cracking a smile. “Andrew, with me. The rest of you, talk to the nature spirits and see if they can hold back the water in the meantime.”
“Can’t you just stop the flood?” the small girl, Marigold, asked in a timid voice. I bent down to her eye level.
“I could, but that would make the naiads even angrier, and they’re my friends, so I don’t want to do that.”
She nodded, as if that made perfect sense. I stood back up and made my way to where the creek was supposed to run, wading through the flooded banks. Andrew skulked behind, staying a good distance from me, and balked by the water’s edge.
“Keep up!” I called. “It’s just water, you’ll be fine!”
“But the water is mad at me.”
I couldn't help but laugh. But however ridiculous it sounded, he was right. The water was angry, and the closer we got to the creek, the angrier it got. And before you ask—yes, water can feel angry. Or happy. Or sad. Just trust me.
This water felt angry and offended. I saw the source of those feelings sitting at the bottom of the rushing water, her arms crossed. The current was strong as I walked toward her, as if it was actively trying to push me away. And it probably would have if I weren’t the daughter of the sea god.
“Hey, Teifi.” I recognized the naiad. “I heard some silly boy asked you to divert your creek?”
She shot out of the water, standing up with her hands on her hips and fury on her face.
“Yes! That one!” She pointed accusingly at Andrew, who cowered. “Can you believe it?”
“They just don’t understand how much work all this is.” I sympathized with her, gesturing to the water.
“It’s so rude!” The water gushed even faster. “No one ever appreciates my hard work. I keep this creek clean, and they trample through it during their ridiculous Capture the Flag. I keep the fish and frogs happy and healthy, and they don’t even bother to comment on how beautiful they look. I keep it running, and they ask me to change its course! They get to enjoy the results of my labor, but do they ever thank me?”
“I bet they don’t.”
“They do not! And you’re the only one who bothers to say hello and pop underwater for a chat.”
“Well, most of them can’t breathe underwater, so…” Teifi raised a questioning eyebrow, and I cleared my throat. “They just don’t understand.”
She rolled her eyes dramatically. “Demigods. They never do.” The water started to calm a bit, but not enough, and it was still rising, flooding the bank of the creek. “And whenever they do talk to us, they’re always asking for things. ‘Oh, can you retrieve the arrow I shot into the river?’ ‘Hey Naiad, can you create a new stream so that we can water our blueberry bushes—”
“They were blackberry bushes.”
I shot Andrew a warning look.
“Ridiculous!” Teifi cried. “Well, they asked for more water, so I’m giving it to them.” She crossed her arms, a self-righteous look on her face, and part of me didn’t blame her.
“I am so sorry that we haven’t been respectful to you, and all the other nature spirits.”
She looked skeptical.
I cleared my throat. “Right, Andrew?”
“Oh, um, yes. Right!” He took a nervous step forward, wading into the water. I could feel how hard he was straining to not fall over. “I’m sorry I asked you to make a new creek. I didn’t know how rude that would come across, and that wasn’t my intention.”
Teifi’s hard expression softened ever so slightly, and the current around his feet lessened.
“It’s just that, I don’t think any of us realize everything you do for camp.” Andrew continued. “I had no idea you were responsible for the things in your river as well as the water.”
“Well, duh!” She sounded just like a normal teenage girl. “Who do you think makes sure the tadpoles turn into frogs?”
Andrew shrugged. “I guess I thought it just…happened.”
The naiad scoffed. “Well, now you know better!”
“Yes, I do.” He took another step forward, and I was glad when the water didn’t push back. “And I’ll tell all my siblings, and the other campers. We need to respect you Naiads more, and the other nature spirits.”
He gave me a nervous look, and I nodded and smiled. He was saying the perfect things all on his own, and a small part of me was proud.
Teifi gave him a curious look, as if she was sizing him up. “And you’re being sincere?”
Andrew nodded quickly. “I am.”
She looked at me, and I gave her a quick nod in reassurance. Then she broke into a smile.
“Well that’s all I was looking for! An apology and a little respect go a long way.”
The Naiad stretched out her hand and immediately the waters began to retreat. I felt a release of tension, as if the water had been holding its breath, and then it all got calmer. I felt the rush at my feet, and before I knew it the creek was in its right place again.
“Thanks, Teifi.” I sighed. “We really appreciate it.”
“And this whole time I thought you were the only one at this camp with a good head on your shoulders.” She winked at Andrew, who blushed and looked away. “Maybe I was wrong.” I let out a chuckle, which she returned. “I’ll see you around, Angie!”
And then she dived into the flowing waters, leaving me and the son of Demeter alone.
“That was one of the scariest things I’ve ever done.” He said slowly. “And not just because of the naiad.” He cracked a smile, and I rolled my eyes. I knew my reputation at camp—the words terrifying and unpredictable were thrown around way too much, if you ask me. But it was usually all in good fun.
“Didn’t you fight in the battle last summer?”
“Well yeah, but I was trained for that! If it weren’t for you, I think she would’ve drowned me.”
I couldn’t help but laugh. “She definitely would’ve drowned you. But that's what I’m here for!”
Andrew smiled, although I think it was in spite of himself.
“Thanks, Angie.” He said as we made our way back to the clearing where everyone else was gathering.
“No problem. Just try not to offend anymore Naiads, okay?”
“I’ll do my best.”
“Angie! Whatever you did, it worked.” Katie Gardner cried as she rushed toward the two of us.” Thank you, thank you, thank you! Gods, that was a close call. Juniper told me it was Teifi? Yikes, that is one Naiad you do not want to make angry.”
“Don’t thank me, thank Andrew.”
“Huh?” The strawberry blond boy looked at me, confused. I nodded at him with a smile.
“He apologized to Teifi and told her we don’t appreciate them enough. He said he would tell the other campers everything the nature spirits do for us and how we should be more thankful.”
Katie looked at her sibling like she was seeing him in a new light.
“Andrew, that’s great! I’m so proud of you.” She threw her arms around him. “As children of Demeter, it’s our responsibility to lead the way for all demigods when it comes to nature. You’ve taken an important step today.”
The younger boy was beaming now, and I couldn't stop my own smile.
“Maybe I can say something at the campfire tonight?”
“I know one of the head Apollo campers pretty well, I’m sure I can make that happen.” I assured the boy, who then ran off to tell his other siblings what had taken place by the creek.
Katie and I were quiet for a moment, her watching her siblings with a sense of pride. Katie had always been around, but the two of us didn’t know each other well. We saw each other more now that I was one of the counselors for the Poseidon cabin, but those interactions were mostly at our weekly war meetings. Even so, we got along great, and I thought of her as one of my friends at camp.
It was nice to see her in her element. I had never noticed it until then, but she was such a good and natural leader. Her siblings looked up to her, and she was always thinking of the good of her cabin. It had never struck me before, because she was such a different leader than Percy or even Annabeth—the two people I looked up to the most. She was quiet, and calm, but wise. And obviously powerful. I had seen the Demeter kids do some crazy things with vines and plants. She just expressed her power in different ways.
“Thanks for what you did for Andrew. I can tell he feels sort of like a hero now, like he saved the camp from the flooding creek.” Katie said it lightly, but she wasn’t entirely wrong. I know the grudges the Naiads held, they told me all about them.
“It was nothing. I just talked to Teifi. You know how we can get when it comes to water.”
She looked at me curiously. “We?”
“Oh, I mean, people and spirits who are connected to water. We all kinda have a tendency to be temperamental and impulsive.”
“Do you think of yourself as one of them?”
I had never really considered it before, and it was never a feeling I had to put into words. “I feel like I understand them, in a way. They get their power, their source of life, from the same place I do. Well, almost. I would maybe say the sea is even more impetuous and unpredictable. Unforgiving.”
“Hmm. That’s an interesting thing to say.”
I watched as the Demeter kids broke into laughter all together and I sighed. “Sorry you got me instead of my brother.”
Katie turned to me, confusion on her face. “What do you mean?”
“Because he’s away from camp, so you had to come to me for the water problem.” I was letting my insecurities spill out, flood the banks like the creek had. It was strange for me, but something about Katie brought it out.
“Angie,” Katie shook her head and laughed lightly, “I would’ve gone to you even if Percy were here.”
“What?” I couldn’t understand why she would say that.
“He could’ve handled this just fine, sure. He would’ve made the water retreat and saved the day. He would’ve been the hero. But he couldn’t have done what you did.”
“I don’t…”
“You really don’t see it, do you?”
I turned my head to her and she let out an exasperated sigh, as if she could read my mind.
“It’s what you just said. You think of yourself as connected to the water nymphs, the water itself. You’re a part of both worlds. Plus, do you think Percy would’ve talked to the Naiad?”
“Well, maybe?”
“Right, maybe. Everyone knows you’re pretty much the only one here who has a good relationship with them. They scare your brother…like most teenage girls do.”
We both dissolved into giggles before Katie composed herself. “And he would’ve talked to Andrew, and explained why Teifi did what she did. He’s always been good with the younger kids. But you,” she smiled warmly at me, like sunrays over a wheat field, “you connected with the Naiad and Andrew. You gave him the confidence and chance to step up, own his mistakes, and fix them. You gave him the chance to be better. You let him be the hero. And you did it in a way that didn’t hurt Teifi’s ego and make the whole situation worse. Not many people could’ve done that.”
I let her words wash over me, trying to believe them. I understood what she was saying, but try as I might, I just couldn’t absorb them. It was like there was something deep inside of me that they bounced right off of, and a small voice whispered that Percy still would've been the better choice. Hadn’t the last year—the last fourteen years, actually—shown me that he always was?
“Thanks Katie.”
“You still don’t see it, do you?”
I turned to her and didn’t try to hide how I was feeling.
She smiled weakly at me. “Don’t worry. You will someday.”

GUTS, luke castellan x oc(prologue)
summary: where an aphordite daugther falls for this lying hermes boy.
disclaimer: english is not my firt language.
We don't get to choose who we fall in love with.
Arianne knew that. She believed it to her core. Love was something magical and illogical. Her own father, said it when he told her about her mom. Apparently, she was a beautiful young woman that crossed paths with Nicholas Deveraux (her father) during his travels in Europe before officially settle down in the family business in Chicago.
Everyone expected that Nicholas would come back from Europe with a bad tan and a few souvenirs, not a freaking newborn baby daugther.
Nicholas was a loving father, but not a really smart man. That is It's one of the reasons she didn't question when a man showed up at her Chicago home, offering her only daughter a scholarship to a prestigious boarding school.
Arianne came to camp half-blood when she was thirteen years old. After some encounters with several monsters, Chiron himself went to her doorstep in Chicago to get her to camp.
Nevertheless, during her arrival there was an incident. An incident involving three more demigod, a satire and a cyclops.
Arianne was claimed a few weeks after the attack, same as the two demigos that survived. Luke Castellan, son of Hermes, and Annabeth Chase, daugther of Atenea.
And let me tell you, Arianne Deveraux didn't choose to fall for the son of the Traveler. It was fate, or maybe was her mother ? She wasn't really sure. They started off as friends, adapting to camp at same time, being the same age, having the same friends.
Arianne was a nice, generous and beautiful girl, she was the perfect definition of an Aphordite daugther. Everyone that knew her personally (and even those who didn't) held her close to their hearts. Knowing that if you had to trust someone, you could trust Arianne Deveraux.
It was also a flaw, being the goodie older sister of Camp Half-blood.
At sixteen, she was named captain of Aphordite cabin. At the same time, Luke Castellan was named captain of Hermes cabin. They started to spend more time together, attending bonefire together, sparring together... Then the gifts started, Luke liked how her eyes would shine everytime she opened a present, no matter how stupid or simple. He would get her little details, It was his way of showing love, his love language, and her siblings would beg her to ask Luke to please, please, get them things for the cabin.
On the othet hand, Arianne would be (even without her knowing) the best of the presents for Luke. She was kind and beautiful, and gave him all the attetion he craved. And even Annabeth liked her, and would let her do her hair when she was tired. She was a part of their little, broken family.
Sometimes, Ari would cover up for Luke, when he sneak out to get things for other half-bloods and for himself. Like a PlayStation or some chess board for Annabeth, or his little presents for Ari.
Sometimes, Luke would sneak her in the Big House, to use the phone to talk to her father.
Every friday night, the would sit in the shore of the lake, to talk about everything or to be completly silent. Every time the scar on Luke's face hurt, Ari would stay by his side and try to ease the pain. Every time Ari felt like the stress of carring everyones problems and her owns, Luke was there to relieve her.
They were partners in crime, always there for each other.
That, until an enemy emerges from the shadows and resentment.
That, until one betrays the other.
Until Arianne Deveraux feels love and hate in her guts.

hey i saw your undertaker x demigo!reader story and that gave me an idea what would undertaker do if hi s/o died? since he can live much longer then any human? (sorry if this is short its one of my first times asking something)
S/o who died HCs (Undertaker)
𝗔/𝗡: 𝗶 𝗴𝗼𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂! 𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗶𝘁!
𝙒𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙙 𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙚? ⇒ 𝙈𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙡𝙞𝙨𝙩
𝙟𝙤𝙞𝙣 𝙢𝙮 𝙙𝙞𝙨𝙘𝙤𝙧𝙙 𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙚𝙧?
𝙗𝙪𝙮 𝙢𝙚 𝙖 𝙘𝙤𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙚?
He’s probably going to change - at least a little bit
He may still be super ridiculous and love his dumb jokes
And always be too cryptic for his own good
But he’s not emotionless after all
He did truly love you, even if he knew deep down inside that you would eventually pass on without him
Still, knowing is only half the battle- even for him
And the sadness he feels towards losing you and definitely unlike anything he’s ever experienced or will probably ever experience again
But he won’t let it show that much (he’s the undertaker, remember)
But if you really listen to his laugh and really hear his voice, you’ll find something else
You’ll find the sadness and longing he’ll always have now that he’s lost you

Hi luv! May I req for Leo falling for a mischievous (cat-like personality) demigo (maybe ares, idk) after she beats him while sparring so he continuously asks her to spar just to spend more time together (and maybe she knows it and just plays along, maybe tells him she’ll go on a date with him once he beats her?). Idk this was just an idea, thought I got. Do not feel pressured or anything obvs!
Heya this has been in my inbox for a while and I finally got a good idea lol cause I don't wanna be posting half assed WIP's. [this is also combined with a request for Leo Valdez x daughter of Athena reader I got a while ago btw]
Enjoy <3
love is stronger then everything [except Clarrise, of course] ---Leo V x Daughter of Athena reader
»»————- ★ ————-««
Leo was a mastermind.
Like, obviously you were the daughter of Athena, but he was the one behind it all. He was just… so smart. It was unbelievable sometimes. Not to be big headed or anything, he was just the most intelligent person in the room.
Well, in this scenario, it wasn’t the room, it was the arena. And that’s about where his cunning brain cells decided to sit on the bench and do their nails with Piper.
He’d tell them off later, if he ever survived the sharp eyed sharp edged girl in front of him who was somehow holding a war axe made of solid imperial gold over her shoulder like it was nothing. The sight of your arms distracted him of his incoming death momentarily, but then you just had to open your mouth. “
“Valdez, are you gonna spar with me, or was the six step official challenge at breakfast with a disco ball and three tonnes of strawberries for nothing?”
“Four tonnes, actually,” he managed to squeak out, and then shifted his grip on the sword he’d borrowed from Jake, who’d only laughed in his face when Leo told him he’d challenged you.
Judging by the way you fiddled with your camp beads necklace and then swung the smooth golden axe stained with something remarkably similar to human blood, Jake was right. Leo gulped and stepped back, ready to scramble out of the way and clang his too big sword against the edges of the axe he only just realized were sharp enough to cut through bone.
You seemed to pity him as well, which Leo didn’t appreciate, but at least you gave him a few extra seconds to scramble out of the way.
A moment later there was sand in his eyes churned up by your sneakers, the ones with little green string snakes as laces. He vaguely remembered snakes being a symbol of Athena, only that thought was scrapped when he had to step back to avoid having his skull split in half.
Piper cheered sarcastically and passed Jason a leftover strawberry from this morning’s events.
You spun around and the axe made a crater in the sawdust covered ground. Leo turned and half heartedly swung his hammer at your shoulder, but you dipped back and knocked it out of his hands in less then a second, leaving him defenseless.
Leo launched himself backwards and felt his shoe skid on the ground, sawdust billowing up into his vision as gravity decided to ruin his day, and his dignity.
He was contemplating just falling asleep right then and there, when a gray sliver appeared in front of him. He had to cross his eyes to identify the metal poking his nose as the tip of your war axe. Leo just got comfy on the ground, resting his hands beneath his head as you glared.
Apparently you weren’t satisfied with the early defeat, gray eyes narrowed as you snapped. “What on Olympus was that, Valdez?”
“Me fighting?” He asked hopefully, squinting up as the sun angled itself behind you. He brushed away the thought that it made you look a bit like an angel, despite the frown on your face and the weapon at his throat.
“Well you aren’t any good at it, so don’t bother,” you said, hooking the axe over your shoulder and marching off. “I have to go help Beth with the capture the flag plans.”
Leo huffed, blowing a strand of his curly brown hair out of his face and grinning up at the roof, which swirled a little. He might’ve bumped his head a little too hard, now that he thought about it.
Then another face swam in front of him and Piper popped a bubble that smelt vaguely of grapes. She looked towards where you’d disappeared out the arena’s swinging double doors. “What in the ever loving fucknuggets was that, Valdez?”
“I liked their version better,” Leo grumbled, and sat up slowly, feeling his bones groan internally at him. “And it’s not my fault their fit. And strong. ANd have a huge weapon. And pretty eyes. And-”
“And a nice ass?”
“Yep, especially in those camo pan- why are you looking at their ass?” Leo asked suspiciously. Taking a hand from Piper to get up properly. He stretched his arms above his head and tried to stop thinking about your butt. It didn’t really work very well, and then his thoughts skipped along to your thighs and the really cool scar along one and he missed half of what Jason was saying in between the smile he was trying to hide.
That didn’t matter very much though, because Leo was struck with the best idea in the history of children born of the literal ideas god. Well, maybe that was Athena, not Hephestus, but your parents were a problem for later. Way later. Like when you’d decided Leo was more than just a rock stuck in your shoe.
That was something he could work on though.
He just had to impress you so much that you’d agree to go out with him. Building something cool would be the immediate option, but he built cool things everyday. It wasn’t easy, per-say, but it wasn’t a date-worthy achievement.
Piper snapped her fingers in front of his face and Leo jerked his head back, “huh? Sorry I was just thinking…”
“About what? Finally giving up on-”
“Imma single handedly win capture the flag!”
»»————- ★ ————-««
You handed out the last of the helmets, blue plumes dotting the crowd of demigods jostling around and yelling about lice and how their butterfly clips wouldn’t fit underneath the bronze.
You chose to ignore those ones and turned back to the little canvas tent someone had dragged out from Bunker 9 to set up base in, even though it couldn’t be used during the actual game. You weren’t actually sure what the point of it was, but Clarrise deemed it necessary, and you decided not to argue with her, in the interest of living.
The Athena cabin had managed to swoop in and ally with the Ares cabin before Connor got there, so you managed to rein in the help of Butch and his siblings [which meant that the Red team would have quite a few problems involving pegasi droppings in the hours to come], the two twins of Nike, the Dionysus and Hebe kids, as well as the smattering of Aphrodite kids that were ready to get blood under their perfectly done nails. A few of them seemed too happy about that prospect, but Drew had heart shaped arrows and Charmspeak, so you ignored the fact Lacey was singing about chopping off heads.
Annabeth propped her sneakers up on the table, smudging mud on the map of the forest as she did so, to tie up her laces. “So, we’ve got puddles of pegasi shit under the leaves, I asked Holly and Laurel who could make the most nets so we’ll have enough to trap most of the Hermes cabin under by the time we start, and then Clarrise and her lot can just heavily maim the rest.”
“Nice,” you noted, and pushed the coloured pins for each demigod wiping blue warpaint across their cheeks around the map to their places. “We’re against Will’s dickwits, so they’ll do that thing and keep the sun behind them to blind everyone on our team.”
Annabeth fiddled with her camp necklace and glared at the map. “ And what are we supposed to do to counter that? Ask Apollo to take the day off??
“Start handing out sunglasses.”
Someone dragged a bucking gray pegasi through the opening to the canvas tent and chaos broke out, Butch yelling orders at a group of Dionysus kids who began feeding the freaked out mare shiraz.
You turned away before you were lumped with the task of dealing with them, and reached for your axe. A sticky note fell off, the yellow paper floating to the ground.
Hi hi so if i win capture the flag by myself then will you go out with me also i cant ask you this in person because jasons teaching me how to use a sword and im about to run out of sticky note and now ive forgotten what i was trying to say
The note ended there, and you frowned, trying to ignore the twitch at your lips when you turned the greasy crinkled paper over.
right yeah this is leo by the way you probably already figured that out cause no one else is smart enough to beat all of camp to go out with you the flying horse distraction was my idea too by the way im a genius you should definitely go out with me okay now im out of pa
“Who’s the person?”
You nearly decapitated Drew in that moment. You lowered your axe and shoved the note in the back of your pocket that you only just remembered wasn’t there, courtesy of the armor you’d donned. “What are you talking about?”
“The love note,” she insisted with a curious smirk, lipgloss shining. “They sounded pretty excited and now you’re making that face oh my god you actually like them back!”
“Do not!” You snapped back, tightening your shoulder guard and hefting your bloodied axe over you shoulder. The pegasi was led out of the tent as you shooed Drew in the same direction. “Now go back to your station, we’re starting in five.”
She squinted at you for a second, then her eyes widened as he jaw dropped. “Leo!”
You blinked, wrinkling your nose. “Okay how did you even-”
“Seeya later!” Drew called over her shoulder, skipping away with Butch to find her section of the woods to patrol, her assigned heart shaped sunglasses slipping down her nose.
You narrowed your eyes at her retreating figure, but then one of Clarisse's sisters was wondering if the no killing rule had changed in the last four minutes and you were promptly distracted.
»»————- ★ ————-««
“Why don’t you just run along there and turn Travis into a toddler for me?” You asked a son of Hebe who nodded solemnly and disappeared into the trees. Light dappled the leaves on the ground and once you’d ordered around the rest of the soldiers in training, the bellowing horn sounded.
A tense silence filled the woods, no one daring to make the first move and startle the spies out of their trees and the runners from their starting places. You pushed the cat eyed sunglasses up your nose and adjusted your sweaty grip on the axe, which must have weighed as much as the Hebe boy you’d just sent on his way.
Blue streaked the sky behind the clouds, but the blue you were concerned about fluttered peacefully in the wind from where the flag had been nestled in Zeus’s fist.
From what you’d planned, the Nike twins should be hiding in the two pine trees in font of you that had grown on either side of the track you knew the red team would take, nets between them ready to trap the enemy. Drew was placed behind you with her bow and arrows, ready to take down anyone that made it past Holly and Laurel.
And if the lucky little fucker made it any further, you had your axe ready.
The rest of your team, save the Ares kids bordering the river, who were ready to maim but not kill, were causing a distraction that included a lot of grapevines and a reenactment of the Hamilton Musical [the second half was to be acted out at the campfire later that night]. It was sure to distract the Apollo cabin while Annabeth donned her blue Yankees hat and snuck through.
The only way it could go wrong at this point, is if a certain fluffy haired pointy eared son of Hephestus went through with his sticky note proposition and burned down the entire woods.
Considering the fact he’d challenged you to a duel four times this week, you wouldn’t be surprised. Not that you minded. His concentrating face was sort of cute, especially when he stuck his tongue out a little and that time you’d pinned him to the sawdust covered ground you’d realized he actually had a few little freckles along his nose.
And he really liked strawberries. That you could admire.
Okay, maybe you looked forward to whatever proposition he’d set up at breakfast each day, but it mainly had to do with the presents. And definitely not that grin he’d get when you agreed.
If he won this game of capture the flag, which was impossible for one demigod anyway, and you did go out with him, you’d get to see that smile times one thousand. It sort of made you want him to win.
Then you shook the thought from your helmet cladden head. Your team was going to win this, and you’d stab Leo yourself to do so.
Lightly, though.
He still had that crackly laugh you could place from across the dining pavilion, you couldn’t kill him. It made your brain melt for a moment, which wasn’t something a daughter of Athena needed. But, he was a certified genius. Maybe that would even it out.
»»————- ★ ————-««
“Where the fuck is Drew?” You yelled into the forest around you, but only the crickets and startled squawking birds answered. Metal clanged and the crickets were silenced when your Axe thudded against a tree, handle first.
Austin smirked, and his bow knocked into your shoulder hard enough to leave a bruise you could already feel forming.
You ducked another blow and stumbled back, stumbling a tight ring around the sun of Apollo to get back to your weapon, glancing around the clearing as you did so. Holly and Laurel were nowhere to be seen, and there were certainly no nets to help you out in the one on one ambush.
You’d been waiting around for some action when suddenly there was a lot but still not enough, because apparently everyone on the blue team had decided they’d rather fall asleep in their stations than help you. Even without them you could hold up your own, grabbing your axe and swinging it around at Austin when he came back for seconds. The arrow in his hand seemed less scary once his bow was in two splintered pieces at your feet.
He stepped back, face falling, and the daisies crushed underfoot sprung back into their slightly crumpled places when he backed away properly, turning to where the blue flag was still untouched on the top of Zeus’s fist.
You paused, lowering the axe in confusion once he called out to nothing, “Oi! Move it loverboy, I’m running out of time!”
Then you froze, because of course somehow, against all odds, a panting Leo was clambering up the highest point with the red flag in one tightly closed hand and a second later he was holding the blue one above his head victoriously as well, a stupidly wide grin on his cute face.
He let out a yelp as pebbles began to slide around his feet but then you couldn’t see him anymore, pushed to the back of the crowd by a stampede of yelling demigods brandishing weapons.
It took you a second to realize they were cheers and not war cries [the difference was hard to make out most of the time], so you weaved through some Hermes kids who were chatting animatedly and a Demeter girl with a stump where her arm had been. Will rushed along behind you to her side once you’d gotten past both teams of the now over capture the flag game.
“What the fuck is this?” You yelled up at Leo, who sent you a double thumbs up and then began hopping down the pile of boulders, the flags now held with his crooked teeth.
You squinted up at him, watching his green army jacket get caught on an overhanging branch and then when he jumped down finally, you were there to cross your arms and glare at him.
“Sup?” he smirked, holding his hands behind his back and rocking on his feet. “Did you get my note?”
Apparently he guessed your answer through your facial expression and then held up the flags like an offering. You ignored a fatal sounding screech from an Aphrodite boy in the distance as Leo chewed his lip. “So…. I won!”
“And how, exactly?”
Leo glanced to the side, and you followed his gaze to a smirking daughter of Aphrodite, who’s hoop earrings shined with blood that definitely wasn’t hers, judging from Drew’s satisfied expression. He then pulled out another crumpled up sticky note from his jacket, which was stained with something dark. He read out in a stilted tone, “I have to make a flamethrower, a chariot with poison shooting arrows, a two real life hoverboards, about thirty pairs of water, lava, and acid proof headphones, and a few jetpacks.”
“Right,” you muttered, tilting your head at Leo.
He blinked obliviously at you and tucked away his extensive list, probably not able to hear you speak over the yelling crowds that bustled around carrying bandages and broken weapons, already busying themselves with the aftermath of the set up blood-bath.
“It was worth it,” he shrugged, “but I’ll be stuck in bunker nine for the rest of the my life.”
“Maybe you can take a day off.” You unfolded your arms, resigned to the fact all of Camp Halfblood was about to witness this. Then you stepped forwards a little and leant in to whisper in his pointed ear. “...Y’know, for our date.”
Leo blinked.
“Someone get the Leo extinguisher!” A Hebe kid yelled, and there was a general uproar of chaos from everyone but you weren’t really paying attention because Leo had patted down his flaming torso quickly, only that didn’t change the color of his face back to normal.
He narrowed his eyes, but the grin had never faded and you could see his fingers tapping along his thighs a thousand miles an hour. “You serious?”
You nodded.
“DID YA HEAR THAT?” He yelled at the crowd of teenagers, cupping his mouth with a scarred hand, “I GOT A HOT DATE YALL!”
“Don’t make me regret it,” you muttered back, rolling your eyes, but when Leo smiled up at you you knew you’d never regret it, so instead you just smiled back, shoving your hands in your pockets while Piper started screaming from Jason’s shoulders.
Leo clapped his hands eagerly, “great, now you gotta carry me.”
“That’s cringe.”
“I’m being serious,” he said and held his arms up so you could grab him bridal style. You paused for a moment and then resigned yourself to the fact this might be the rest of your life. It wasn’t too bad, you realized, when Leo wrapped his arms around your neck and pointed in the direction of Will triumphantly. “Forward, sexy steed!”
“One, if you ever call me that again, I will literally throw you off a cliff, and two, why do we have to get to WIll?” You asked as you carried him through the crowd in the direction of the stressed out blonde anyway.
“Cause Clarrise stabbed me in exchange for letting me win.”

For the Great PJO Ask Analysis Event:
You've got a topic in PJO you'd like for me to analyze?
Presentations of immortality, including the gods' offer to Percy of immortality and how that could have changed the series.
Want to share YOUR analysis of stuff with me and my followers?
Luke and Percy being two sides of the same coin is somewhat true. In the context of their backgrounds: both come from poor home life but one has a support system and the other doesn't. Adding on to that, Luke has experienced the gods' parenting, though not to it's extreme, while Percy hasn't. Their traits prevent them being paralleled - though Luke will sacrifice those he loves for the world and Percy won't - the two don't really share that much in common. Percy sees the way demigods live in Cabin 11 and does nothing: he only does something after Luke has done something which highlights that they aren't the same: Percy is not active while Luke is - arguments that Percy would overthrow the gods is moot. Furthermore, Luke is a son of Hermes - arguably forgettable compared to Percy Jackson, a son of Poseidon.
Want to hear my take or shares yours of different characters and aspects of the PJO universe?
Jason Grace: differences between Roman and Greek demigods and the potential of the character - he's considered the Roman version of Percy which strips him of his own character: setting up a constant comparison.
All the mythologies associated with strong ancient civilisations (Greek, Roman, Egyptian and Norse) are settled in the United States rather than their own countries, if possible.
Also, if possible, the way historical events such as World War Two is presented as a fight between Poseidon, Hades and Zeus's kids and how that would reframe the conflict.
Thank you so much for the ask! Let's get into it ^^ Presentations of immortality, including the gods' offer to Percy of immortality and how that could have changed the series.
>mhnm, interesting question! As I have understood it the immortality (and existence) or the gods stem from human believe in them. So I don't think that the gods are immortal in the sense that they will "never die"- but more in the sense that they will never die as long as humans still remember them. In the way that their life is tied to human knowledge of them.
And I also think that that's how other pantheons work in terms of immortality. As for when mortals become "gods" or "immortal"- I honestly assume that the gods share a bit of their "power" with them? Like, okay- let us take the example of Percy becoming a god. Obviously there aren't any myths or stories about him for the humans to remember. So instead of his life being bound to the memory of him as a person, I think Percy's life as a god would be bound to the memory of the Greek pantheon as a whole. In terms oh how the story would go with Percy being a god....I'm not sure? Like, I'm not going to lie- I'm still stuck at The Lost Hero and anything beyond that I know I have heard from fan discussion and stuff like that. But as far as I'm aware Hera did a whole switcharoo with Jason and Percy between a roman camp and Camp Halfblood to get them to get along???? I think with Percy being a god that (obviously) wouldn't have happened to him. Instead, I think Hera would have picked someone like Annabeth to serve as a leader for Camp Halfblood. Otherwise I assume it would have gone the relative same?
Luke and Percy being two sides of the same coin is somewhat true. In the context of their backgrounds (....)
Now I'm not gonna lie, I think you've done a pretty good job of analyzing that itself already. As I see it Percy is simply a Luke who wasn't failed by the system. Fact is that, despite what others may believe, Percy has a rather privileged life for a demigod. Not only is he a child of the big three, he has also immense power. He receives help from the gods relatively often compared to other demigods and Poseidon pays IMMENSE attention to him if you compare Percy to other demigods. He had a great and loving mortal parent willing to do anything for him and received special attention from Chiron. He never really had to deal with failing a quest or any major injury leaving any scars. Meanwhile on the other hand you have someone like Luke. His mother went insane when he was 9, he had to live on the streets for years before getting to camp and immediately losing his best friend. Not only was his mortal parent unavailable all his life- his godly parent Hermes wasn't really there for him either despite him claiming that Luke was his favorite. He was immediately dumped into the Hermes cabin which we know is overcrowded to the point of kids having to sleep on the floor, you can imagine that living conditions like that aren't really great compared to Percy's roomy cabin 3. Chiron never really teached or helped Luke like he did Percy, instead Luke took over extra responsibility for other campers and as an instructor. He doesn't really have any fancy powers like Percy, the one quest he had he failed and came out off with a scar. You can't assume he got any real support after that, considering how Luke talked about the time after his quest. At the end of the day, the two of them are a perfect reflection of how the system uplifts one but destroys the other. While Luke was robbed of any semblance of childhood or innocence Percy was allowed to keep his. Those failed by such a system are always a lot easier to radicalize, we can see it in irl too over and over again. Kronos contacted Luke at a time where he had already seen ass the bad things, while having been locked out from the "good" parts. He was completely isolated from the gods and Chiron and had a rightful anger and wish for justice.
He would have been an exceptionally easy target for anyone to radicalize as long as they promised him a realistic chance at justice. Kronos was just there to snatch him up.
Jason Grace: differences between Roman and Greek demigods and the potential of the character
Again I'm stuck at The Lost Hero so I might not be well equipped at handling this question. I'll come back to this when I read further ahead- tho idk when that'll happen. Sorry T-T All the mythologies associated with strong ancient civilisations (Greek, Roman, Egyptian and Norse) are settled in the United States rather than their own countries, if possible.
To be for real, I think that really was just a plot device of Rick to have everything play in the US- which personally I do not like. While I get how it is easier to write for your own country, having those pantheons settle in their original countries would have given us GREAT chances to explore more locations. It could have also served to introduce kids to other cultures and to have representation for "lesser know" countries! The issue of how they travel could have been solved pretty easily considering the existence of gods. Maybe demigods get a blessing form Hermes that allows them to travel to important locations between countries. Or we have things like those pearls from TLT where they teleport you to specific places. I just think it's a bit of a waste having them all stay in the US, especially since it also seems that most demigods are from the US. Wouldn't it have been cool to see demigods from different countries interact? Ancient Greece could have become the "common language" for those demigods to communicate in at Camp!
Also, if possible, the way historical events such as World War Two is presented as a fight between Poseidon, Hades and Zeus's kids and how that would reframe the conflict. Now I will be for real here and say I ignored that for a reason I know VERY well. Because I hate it. In real life there were multiple events and factors playing into the rise of the NSDAP (Nazi Party) and the subsequent start of WW2. Some being the economic society of Germany at the time, the result of WW1, old prejudices and many many more.
Having WW2 "just" be a conflict between the demigods of the Big Three diminishes all that, instead just boiling all these complicated reasoning down to "the gods and/or their kids fought again"
I sort of... diminishes the guilt of the german civilian population who, despite what anyone may tell you, still largely supported and voted for Hitler and his policies. Was everyone a Nazi wanting to murder everyone else? No. But they certainly applauded them. With WW2 suddenly just being a Big Three kid conflict it's almost like the german civilians didn't have any other choice but to go down that path, yk? The gods made the pact because "Big Three kids were too powerfull" That directly implies the fact that Hitler being a child of Hades had some direct effect on his success in Germany (couldn't be the war since, yk- he lost those) Not to mention that it also implies that the fight against the Third Reich for the allies isn't really a fight for freedom anymore- or at least not fully anymore, since it states pretty clearly that it was also a fight between them as children of the Big Three. I dislike it in general how Rick tends to make famous people who achieved great things be demigods, as it implies that they couldn't have done what they did if it weren't for their godly heritage.
Not only do I find this genuinely disrespectful at times, it can also set a dangerous status quo where younger kids could start to assume that such feats simply aren't.....realistic for a "normal" mortal. Which frankly said isn't true. Once Rick decided that the whole WW2 thing was just an excuse for the pact to keep the real reason hidden, I would have preferred it if it had been revealed that it all was a lie. I.E the leaders having been Big Three Kids also being a lie to keep the story up. I mean Rick didn't have the whole book planned out and didn't really refer to it after scrapping it. There would be no reason to hold onto it as canon!
Especially since it means that canonically two of your characters are blood relatives of Hitler himself which- yikes.

During the Annecy Festival, ADN Network has revealed new projects by Ankama. One of such projects is a mini-series by japanese Studio No Border by the name of "Bestiale" (no date yet). The synopsis they shared on their twitter is as follows:
An Osamodas by the name of Yrehn guards the Elante, a legendary creature. But, one day, the animal was kidnapped by a mafia group. Will she be able to save him?
Some additional information from the stream: Yrehn lives in Nimaltopia, the island of the Osamodas demigos Mishell. This story will be set 1 year before the Waven videogame.
This series follows the idea Ankama presented back in the 2021 Krosmonote of doing a yearly mini-series. The first one was "The Last Adventure of Count Lance Dur", relesed in march 2023. Just like Lance Dur, Bestiale will be 7 episodes of 10 minutes each.
There is no date yet and the series is still early in production. A short teaser for the series was shared on twitter:

So I gave different Percy Jackson characters parts in the campfire song for a fanfiction I'm writing and I want to know what you guys think
Will Solace My dad is Apollo He raises the sun He has lots of kids ‘cause he has lots of … fun We wish he would stop Because our cabin is full Oh no He’s kind of a bro And bi as hell too And all of his kids of daddy issues
Beckendorf My dad’s Hephaestus, forger of flames At least my mom didn’t throw me away he’s busy with blueprints and work every day Oh no I know he’s real busy, but I try not to mind I just wish there were time off in his grand design
Leo Valdez So my dad Hephaestus, he’s the god of forges; Gotta admit, he’s not quite that gorgeous; And he gave me powers that make my hands blaze like torches, Oh no And these powers aren’t as great as you’d expect; Because after my mom, all I got was neglect
Pollux My dad’s Dionysus, God of the vine, He is kinda crazy but I do not mind Maybe he‘ll slip me a glass of wine- Mr.D from far away: Uh no! Pollux: Say what you want, I’m not even mad At least I get to see my dad *mic drop*
Mr. D Random camper: Hey Mr. D, who are your parents? Mr. D: No, I don’t sing. Chiron: It's for the kids. Mr. D: You owe me horse… My dad is Zeus … but he’s also my mother It’s really weird, don’t know why I bother See he killed my mom with his true form Oh no Ripped from my dead mom, sewn in a thigh, was born a demigo- Oh never mind!
Holly and Laurel Victor Holly sung: Our Mother is Nike Goddess of the Games Laurel sung: You'd think it'd be cool But turns out it’s lame Both: Oh no Holly: Cause she won't even look at me if I don't win, Laurel: So I keep training every single day, Both: Or she'll show up and take our talents away
Butch My mom is Iris, she sends Hera’s things You’ll know who’s her kids when we start to sprout wings So you can think of my mom the next time you mail things, Oh no! things can be rough When that’s your mom I mean yeah, she’s all right, but one messenger is enough
Nico di Angelo Will: Your turn Nico: No I don’t sing Will: Please Nico: … Fine Nico *sung flatly*: My father is hades, lord of the dead Shadows surround me ghost fill my head. The others all fear me alone I tread Oh no He sits in the underworld watching me weep Meanwhile, I haven’t slept or eaten in over a week Will *spoken*: Are you okay..? Nico *spoken*: …no (…)
Hazel Levesque So my mother decided to summon Pluto And he gave her a curse before going abroad the good of my jewels always being a fraud Oh no For it was too late when I realized And to save us for then I gave up my life
Piper McLean So my mom Aphrodite the goddess of beauty and grace Her powers let me steal things Like it is a race; All I want Is uninterrupted time with my dad Oh no I went from school to school to be reformed yet all I got was one hell*someone yells Hades* of a storm
Percy Jackson So my dad Poseidon is not really that bad I just wish he supported me as my mother had it wouldn’t kill you to pay your child support dad Oh no But I survived two wars now and that’s pretty cool But I wish the first thing said to me wasn’t that I drool
I got a lot of this from the internet and rewrote some of it so that may be why some of it may be similar.
Let me know if you guys have requests, some of my friends have made requests so there might be some more.

Camp Half-Blood if demigos could have phones:
Each cabin has a group chat. That makes Percy feel left out, so he makes a big three kids chat. Thalia and Nico are the only ones in it (Percy really tried adding Bianca's ghost but she doesn't have cell service). They leave him on read. Then He gets invited to Cabin 11's group chat, but they just plan crime
They would prank call Mr D, but they're too afraid they'd get turned into a crazy dolphin
They make a group chat for all the cabin leaders + Chiron and Mr D. It's supposed to be for meetings when not everyone is at camp and less important discussions like sharing the schedule. But it just devolves into chaos of sending memes, arguing and general teenage behavior. So Mr. D and Chiron leave that chat and make a new Announcements group text that's only for: important announcements, arranging the schedule, and warning about danger (ei: "GUYS THERE'S A DRAGON LOOSE IN THE DINING PAVILION" and "Hey, our cabin is on fire. Can we get some help with that? (looking at you Percy)"
Bonus:
Percy sends Annabeth random pictures of buildings he thinks she would find cool

This is my homemade Butterfly Pea Flower Tea Fizz! It's super simple to make and refreshing. This drink is perfect for the spring or summer vibes. Super simple to make and just requires a few ingredients. Start off with fresh blueberries, 2 ounces of fresh squeezed lime juice, 2 ounce of fresh green apple juice, 2 ounces of light Agave syrup and muddle gently. Add some ice and shake it up. Pour the mixture on some ice, add from blueberry Selzer water and top it off with some Butterfly Pea Flower Tea. All these ingredients and tools can be found on the links below. As always I hope you enjoyed this video and feel encouraged to like, comment and subscribe. I look forward on your thoughts and new ideas that I should try next.
